열왕기하 25

1. 시드기야 구년 시월 십일에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 그 모든 군대를 거느리고 예루살렘을 치러 올라와서 진을 치고 사면으로 토성을 쌓으매
  So in the ninth year of Zedekiah's reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon marched against Jerusalem with his whole army. He encamped outside the city and built siege works all around it.

2. 성이 시드기야 왕 십일년까지 에워싸였더니
  The city was kept under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.

3. 그 사월 구일에 성중에 기근이 심하여 그 땅 백성의 양식이 진하였고
  By the ninth day of the fourth month the famine in the city had become so severe that there was no food for the people to eat.

4. 갈대아 사람이 그 성읍을 에워쌌으므로 성벽에 구멍을 뚫은지라 모든 군사가 밤중에 두 성벽 사이 왕의 동산 곁문 길로 도망하여 아라바 길로 가더니
  Then the city wall was broken through, and the whole army fled at night through the gate between the two walls near the king's garden, though the Babylonians were surrounding the city. They fled toward the Arabah,

5. 갈대아 군사가 왕을 쫓아가서 여리고 평지에 미치매 왕의 모든 군사가 저를 떠나 흩어진지라
  but the Babylonian army pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his soldiers were separated from him and scattered,

6. 갈대아 군사가 왕을 잡아 립나 바벨론 왕에게로 끌고 가매 저에게 신문하고
  and he was captured. He was taken to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where sentence was pronounced on him.

7. 시드기야의 아들들을 저의 목전에서 죽이고 시드기야의 두 눈을 빼고 사슬로 결박하여 바벨론으로 끌어갔더라
  They killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes. Then they put out his eyes, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon.

8. 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 십구년 오월 칠일에 바벨론 왕의 신하 시위대 장관 느부사라단이 예루살렘에 이르러
  On the seventh day of the fifth month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard, an official of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.

9. 여호와의 전과 왕궁을 사르고 예루살렘의 모든 집을 귀인의 집까지 불살랐으며
  He set fire to the temple of the LORD, the royal palace and all the houses of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down.

10. 시위대 장관을 좇는 갈대아 온 군대가 예루살렘 사면 성벽을 헐었으며
  The whole Babylonian army, under the commander of the imperial guard, broke down the walls around Jerusalem.

11. 성중에 남아 있는 백성과 바벨론 왕에게 항복한 자와 무리의 남은 자는 시위대 장관 느부사라단이 다 사로잡아 가고
  Nebuzaradan the commander of the guard carried into exile the people who remained in the city, along with the rest of the populace and those who had gone over to the king of Babylon.

12. 빈천한 국민을 그 땅에 남겨 두어 포도원을 다스리는 자와 농부가 되게 하였더라
  But the commander left behind some of the poorest people of the land to work the vineyards and fields.

13. 갈대아 사람이 또 여호와의 전의 두 놋기둥과 받침들과 여호와의 전의 놋바다를 깨뜨려 그 놋을 바벨론으로 가져가고
  The Babylonians broke up the bronze pillars, the movable stands and the bronze Sea that were at the temple of the LORD and they carried the bronze to Babylon.

14. 또 가마들과 부삽들과 불집게들과 숟가락들과 섬길 때에 쓰는 모든 놋그릇을 다 가져갔으며
  They also took away the pots, shovels, wick trimmers, dishes and all the bronze articles used in the temple service.

15. 시위대 장관이 또 불 옮기는 그릇들과 주발들 곧 금물의 금과 은물의 은을 가져갔으며
  The commander of the imperial guard took away the censers and sprinkling bowls--all that were made of pure gold or silver.

16. 또 솔로몬이 여호와의 전을 위하여 만든 두 기둥과 한 바다와 받침들을 취하였는데 이 모든 기구의 놋 중수를 헤아릴 수 없었으니
  The bronze from the two pillars, the Sea and the movable stands, which Solomon had made for the temple of the LORD, was more than could be weighed.

17. 그 한 기둥은 고가 십팔 규빗이요 그 꼭대기에 놋머리가 있어 고가 삼 규빗이요 그 머리에 둘린 그물과 석류가 다 놋이라 다른 기둥의 장식과 그물도 이와 같았더라
  Each pillar was twenty-seven feet high. The bronze capital on top of one pillar was four and a half feet high and was decorated with a network and pomegranates of bronze all around. The other pillar, with its network, was similar.

18. 시위대 장관이 대제사장 스라야와 부제사장 스바냐와 전 문지기 세 사람을 잡고
  The commander of the guard took as prisoners Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the priest next in rank and the three doorkeepers.

19. 또 성중에서 사람을 잡았으니 곧 군사를 거느린 내시 하나와 또 성중에서 만난 바 왕의 시종 다섯 사람과 국민을 초모하는 장관의 서기관 하나와 성중에서 만난 바 국민 육십 명이라
  Of those still in the city, he took the officer in charge of the fighting men and five royal advisers. He also took the secretary who was chief officer in charge of conscripting the people of the land and sixty of his men who were found in the city.

20. 시위대 장관 느부사라단이 저희를 잡아가지고 립나 바벨론 왕에게 나아가매
  Nebuzaradan the commander took them all and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.

21. 바벨론 왕이 하맛 땅 립나에서 다 쳐죽였더라 이와 같이 유다가 사로잡혀 본토에서 떠났더라
  There at Riblah, in the land of Hamath, the king had them executed. So Judah went into captivity, away from her land.

22. 유다 땅에 머물러 있는 백성은 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 남긴 자라 왕이 사반의 손자 아히감의 아들 그달리야로 관할하게 하였더라
  Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to be over the people he had left behind in Judah.

23. 모든 군대 장관과 그 좇는 자가 바벨론 왕이 그달리야로 방백을 삼았다 함을 듣고 이에 느다니야의 아들 이스마엘과 가레아의 아들 요하난과 느도바 사람 단후멧의 아들 스라야와 마아가 사람의 아들 야아사니야와 그 좇는 사람이 모두 미스바로 가서 그달리야에게 나아가매
  When all the army officers and their men heard that the king of Babylon had appointed Gedaliah as governor, they came to Gedaliah at Mizpah--Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan son of Kareah, Seraiah son of Tanhumeth the Netophathite, Jaazaniah the son of the Maacathite, and their men.

24. 그달리야가 저희와 그 좇는 자들에게 맹세하여 이르되 너희는 갈대아 신복을 인하여 두려워 말고 이 땅에 거하여 바벨론 왕을 섬기라 그리하면 너희가 평안하리라 하니라
  Gedaliah took an oath to reassure them and their men. "Do not be afraid of the Babylonian officials," he said. "Settle down in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will go well with you."

25. 칠 월에 왕족 엘리사마의 손자 느다니야의 아들 이스마엘이 십 인을 거느리고 와서 그달리야를 쳐서 죽이고 또 저와 함께 미스바에 있는 유다 사람과 갈대아 사람을 죽인지라
  In the seventh month, however, Ishmael son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, who was of royal blood, came with ten men and assassinated Gedaliah and also the men of Judah and the Babylonians who were with him at Mizpah.

26. 대소 백성과 군대 장관들이 다 일어나서 애굽으로 갔으니 이는 갈대아 사람을 두려워함이었더라
  At this, all the people from the least to the greatest, together with the army officers, fled to Egypt for fear of the Babylonians.

27. 유다 왕 여호야긴이 사로잡혀 간 지 삼십칠 년 곧 바벨론 왕 에윌므로닥의 즉위한 원년 십이월 이십칠일에 유다 왕 여호야긴을 옥에서 내어 놓아 그 머리를 들게 하고
  In the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the year Evil-Merodach became king of Babylon, he released Jehoiachin from prison on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month.

28. 선히 말하고 그 위를 바벨론에 저와 함께 있는 모든 왕의 위보다 높이고
  He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honor higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.

29. 그 죄수의 의복을 바꾸게 하고 그 일평생에 항상 왕의 앞에서 먹게 하였고
  So Jehoiachin put aside his prison clothes and for the rest of his life ate regularly at the king's table.

30. 저의 쓸 것은 날마다 왕에게서 받는 정수가 있어서 종신토록 끊이지 아니하였더라
  Day by day the king gave Jehoiachin a regular allowance as long as he lived.

히브리서 7

1. 이 멜기세덱은 살렘 왕이요 지극히 높으신 하나님의 제사장이라 여러 임금을 쳐서 죽이고 돌아오는 아브라함을 만나 복을 빈 자라
  This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,

2. 아브라함이 일체 십분의 일을 그에게 나눠 주니라 그 이름을 번역한즉 첫째 의의 왕이요 또 살렘 왕이니 곧 평강의 왕이요
  and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, his name means "king of righteousness"; then also, "king of Salem" means "king of peace."

3. 아비도 없고 어미도 없고 족보도 없고 시작한 날도 없고 생명의 끝도 없어 하나님 아들과 방불하여 항상 제사장으로 있느니라
  Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest forever.

4. 이 사람의 어떻게 높은 것을 생각하라 조상 아브라함이 노략물 중 좋은 것으로 십분의 일을 저에게 주었느니라
  Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder!

5. 레위의 아들들 가운데 제사장의 직분을 받는 자들이 율법을 좇아 아브라함의 허리에서 난 자라도 자기 형제인 백성에게서 십분의 일을 취하라는 명령을 가졌으나
  Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people--that is, their brothers--even though their brothers are descended from Abraham.

6. 레위 족보에 들지 아니한 멜기세덱은 아브라함에게서 십분의 일을 취하고 그 약속 얻은 자를 위하여 복을 빌었나니
  This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

7. 폐일언하고 낮은 자가 높은 자에게 복 빎을 받느니라
  And without doubt the lesser person is blessed by the greater.

8. 또 여기는 죽을 자들이 십분의 일을 받으나 저기는 산다고 증거를 얻은 자가 받았느니라
  In the one case, the tenth is collected by men who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living.

9. 또한 십분의 일을 받는 레위도 아브라함으로 말미암아 십분의 일을 바쳤다 할 수 있나니
  One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham,

10. 이는 멜기세덱이 아브라함을 만날 때에 레위는 아직 자기 조상의 허리에 있었음이니라
  because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor.

11. 레위 계통의 제사 직분으로 말미암아 온전함을 얻을 수 있었으면 (백성이 그 아래서 율법을 받았으니) 어찌하여 아론의 반차를 좇지 않고 멜기세덱의 반차를 좇는 별다른 한 제사장을 세울 필요가 있느뇨
  If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come--one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?

12. 제사 직분이 변역한즉 율법도 반드시 변역하리니
  For when there is a change of the priesthood, there must also be a change of the law.

13. 이것은 한 사람도 제단 일을 받들지 않는 다른 지파에 속한 자를 가리켜 말한 것이라
  He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar.

14. 우리 주께서 유다로 좇아 나신 것이 분명하도다 이 지파에는 모세가 제사장들에 관하여 말한 것이 하나도 없고
  For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests.

15. 멜기세덱과 같은 별다른 한 제사장이 일어난 것을 보니 더욱 분명하도다
  And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears,

16. 그는 육체에 상관된 계명의 법을 좇지 아니하고 오직 무궁한 생명의 능력을 좇아 된 것이니
  one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.

17. 증거하기를 네가 영원히 멜기세덱의 반차를 좇는 제사장이라 하였도다
  For it is declared: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek."

18. 전엣 계명이 연약하며 무익하므로 폐하고
  The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless

19. (율법은 아무것도 온전케 못할찌라) 이에 더 좋은 소망이 생기니 이것으로 우리가 하나님께 가까이 가느니라
  (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

20. 또 예수께서 제사장 된 것은 맹세 없이 된 것이 아니니
  And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath,

21. (저희는 맹세 없이 제사장이 되었으되 오직 예수는 자기에게 말씀하신 자로 말미암아 맹세로 되신 것이라 주께서 맹세하시고 뉘우치지 아니하시리니 네가 영원히 제사장이라 하셨도다)
  but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him: "The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: 'You are a priest forever.'"

22. 이와 같이 예수는 더 좋은 언약의 보증이 되셨느니라
  Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.

23. 저희 제사장 된 자의 수효가 많은 것은 죽음을 인하여 항상 있지 못함이로되
  Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office;

24. 예수는 영원히 계시므로 그 제사 직분도 갈리지 아니하나니
  but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood.

25. 그러므로 자기를 힘입어 하나님께 나아가는 자들을 온전히 구원하실 수 있으니 이는 그가 항상 살아서 저희를 위하여 간구하심이니라
  Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

26. 이러한 대제사장은 우리에게 합당하니 거룩하고 악이 없고 더러움이 없고 죄인에게서 떠나 계시고 하늘보다 높이 되신 자라
  Such a high priest meets our need--one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

27. 저가 저 대제사장들이 먼저 자기 죄를 위하고 다음에 백성의 죄를 위하여 날마다 제사드리는 것과 같이 할 필요가 없으니 이는 저가 단번에 자기를 드려 이루셨음이니라
  Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.

28. 율법은 약점을 가진 사람들을 제사장으로 세웠거니와 율법 후에 하신 맹세의 말씀은 영원히 온전케 되신 아들을 세우셨느니라
  For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

아모스 1

1. 유다 왕 웃시야의 시대 곧 이스라엘 왕 요아스의 아들 여로보암의 시대의 지진 전 이 년에 드고아 목자 중 아모스가 이스라엘에 대하여 묵시받은 말씀이라
  The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa--what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.

2. 저가 가로되 여호와께서 시온에서부터 부르짖으시며 예루살렘에서부터 음성을 발하시리니 목자의 초장이 애통하며 갈멜 산 꼭대기가 마르리로다
  He said: "The LORD roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers."

3. 여호와께서 가라사대 다메섹의 서너 가지 죄로 인하여 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 저희가 철 타작기로 타작하듯 길르앗을 압박하였음이라
  This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Damascus, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she threshed Gilead with sledges having iron teeth,

4. 내가 하사엘의 집에 불을 보내리니 벤하닷의 궁궐들을 사르리라
  I will send fire upon the house of Hazael that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.

5. 내가 다메섹 빗장을 꺾으며 아웬 골짜기에서 그 거민을 끊으며 벧에던에서 홀 잡은 자를 끊으리니 아람 백성이 사로잡혀 길에 이르리라 이는 여호와의 말씀이니라
  I will break down the gate of Damascus; I will destroy the king who is in the Valley of Aven and the one who holds the scepter in Beth Eden. The people of Aram will go into exile to Kir," says the LORD.

6. 여호와께서 가라사대 가사의 서너 가지 죄로 인하여 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 저희가 모든 사로잡은 자를 끌어 에돔에 붙였음이라
  This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Gaza, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she took captive whole communities and sold them to Edom,

7. 내가 가사 성에 불을 보내리니 그 궁궐들을 사르리라
  I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses.

8. 내가 또 아스돗에서 그 거민과 아스글론에서 홀 잡은 자를 끊고 또 손을 돌이켜 에그론을 치리니 블레셋의 남아 있는 자가 멸망하리라 이는 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
  I will destroy the king of Ashdod and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon. I will turn my hand against Ekron, till the last of the Philistines is dead," says the Sovereign LORD.

9. 여호와께서 가라사대 두로의 서너 가지 죄로 인하여 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 저희가 그 형제의 계약을 기억지 아니하고 모든 사로잡은 자를 에돔에 붙였음이라
  This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,

10. 내가 두로 성에 불을 보내리니 그 궁궐들을 사르리라
  I will send fire upon the walls of Tyre that will consume her fortresses."

11. 여호와께서 가라사대 에돔의 서너 가지 죄로 인하여 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 저가 칼로 그 형제를 쫓아가며 긍휼을 버리며 노가 항상 맹렬하며 분을 끝없이 품었음이라
  This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Edom, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he pursued his brother with a sword, stifling all compassion, because his anger raged continually and his fury flamed unchecked,

12. 내가 데만에 불을 보내리니 보스라의 궁궐들을 사르리라
  I will send fire upon Teman that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah."

13. 여호와께서 가라사대 암몬 자손의 서너 가지 죄로 인하여 내가 그 벌을 돌이키지 아니하리니 이는 저희가 자기 지경을 넓히고자 하여 길르앗의 아이 밴 여인의 배를 갈랐음이니라
  This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders,

14. 내가 랍바 성에 불을 놓아 그 궁궐들을 사르되 전쟁의 날에 외침과 회리바람 날에 폭풍으로 할 것이며
  I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day.

15. 저희의 왕은 그 방백들과 함께 사로잡혀 가리라 이는 여호와의 말씀이니라
  Her king will go into exile, he and his officials together," says the LORD.

시편 144

1. 나의 반석 여호와를 찬송하리로다 저가 내 손을 가르쳐 싸우게 하시며 손가락을 가르쳐 치게 하시도다
  Of David. Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.

2. 여호와는 나의 인자시요 나의 요새시요 나의 산성이시요 나를 건지는 자시요 나의 방패시요 나의 피난처시요 내 백성을 내게 복종케 하시는 자시로다
  He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

3. 여호와여 사람이 무엇이관대 주께서 저를 알아 주시며 인생이 무엇이관대 저를 생각하시나이까
  O LORD, what is man that you care for him, the son of man that you think of him?

4. 사람은 헛것 같고 그의 날은 지나가는 그림자 같으니이다
  Man is like a breath; his days are like a fleeting shadow.

5. 여호와여 주의 하늘을 드리우고 강림하시며 산들에 접촉하사 연기가 발하게 하소서
  Part your heavens, O LORD, and come down; touch the mountains, so that they smoke.

6. 번개를 번득이사 대적을 흩으시며 주의 살을 발하사 저희를 파하소서
  Send forth lightning and scatter the enemies; shoot your arrows and rout them.

7. 위에서부터 주의 손을 펴사 나를 큰 물과 이방인의 손에서 구하여 건지소서
  Reach down your hand from on high; deliver me and rescue me from the mighty waters, from the hands of foreigners

8. 저희 입은 궤사를 말하며 그 오른손은 거짓의 오른손이니이다
  whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.

9. 하나님이여 내가 주께 새 노래로 노래하며 열 줄 비파로 주를 찬양하리이다
  I will sing a new song to you, O God; on the ten-stringed lyre I will make music to you,

10. 주는 왕들에게 구원을 베푸시는 자시요 종 다윗을 그 해하는 칼에서 구하시는 자시니이다
  to the One who gives victory to kings, who delivers his servant David from the deadly sword.

11. 이방인의 손에서 나를 구하여 건지소서 저희 입은 궤사를 말하며 그 오른손은 거짓의 오른손이니이다
  Deliver me and rescue me from the hands of foreigners whose mouths are full of lies, whose right hands are deceitful.

12. 우리 아들들은 어리다가 장성한 나무 같으며 우리 딸들은 궁전의 식양대로 아름답게 다듬은 모퉁이 돌과 같으며
  Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.

13. 우리의 곳간에는 백곡이 가득하며 우리의 양은 들에서 천천과 만만으로 번성하며
  Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields;

14. 우리 수소는 무겁게 실었으며 또 우리를 침로하는 일이나 우리가 나아가 막는 일이 없으며 우리 거리에는 슬피 부르짖음이 없을찐대
  our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets.

15. 이러한 백성은 복이 있나니 여호와를 자기 하나님으로 삼는 백성은 복이 있도다
  Blessed are the people of whom this is true; blessed are the people whose God is the LORD.
