열왕기하 22

1. 요시야가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 팔 세라 예루살렘에서 삼십일 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여디다라 보스갓 아다야의 딸이더라
  Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem thirty-one years. His mother's name was Jedidah daughter of Adaiah; she was from Bozkath.

2. 요시야가 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하여 그 조상 다윗의 모든 길로 행하고 좌우로 치우치지 아니하였더라
  He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD and walked in all the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.

3. 요시야 왕 십팔 년에 왕이 므술람의 손자 아살리야의 아들 서기관 사반을 여호와의 전에 보내며 가로되
  In the eighteenth year of his reign, King Josiah sent the secretary, Shaphan son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, to the temple of the LORD. He said:

4. 너는 대제사장 힐기야에게 올라가서 백성이 여호와의 전에 드린 은 곧 문 지킨 자가 수납한 은을 계수하여
  "Go up to Hilkiah the high priest and have him get ready the money that has been brought into the temple of the LORD, which the doorkeepers have collected from the people.

5. 여호와의 전 역사 감독자의 손에 붙여 저희로 여호와의 전에 있는 공장에게 주어 전의 퇴락한 것을 수리하게 하되
  Have them entrust it to the men appointed to supervise the work on the temple. And have these men pay the workers who repair the temple of the LORD--

6. 곧 목수와 건축자와 미장이에게 주게 하고 또 재목과 다듬은 돌을 사서 그 전을 수리하게 하라 하니라
  the carpenters, the builders and the masons. Also have them purchase timber and dressed stone to repair the temple.

7. 그러나 저희 손에 붙인 은을 회계하지 아니하였으니 이는 그 행하는 것이 진실함이었더라
  But they need not account for the money entrusted to them, because they are acting faithfully."

8. 대제사장 힐기야가 서기관 사반에게 이르되 내가 여호와의 전에서 율법책을 발견하였노라 하고 그 책을 사반에게 주니 사반이 읽으니라
  Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, "I have found the Book of the Law in the temple of the LORD." He gave it to Shaphan, who read it.

9. 서기관 사반이 왕에게 돌아가서 복명하여 가로되 왕의 신복들이 전에 있던 돈을 쏟아 여호와의 전 역사 감독자의 손에 붙였나이다 하고
  Then Shaphan the secretary went to the king and reported to him: "Your officials have paid out the money that was in the temple of the LORD and have entrusted it to the workers and supervisors at the temple."

10. 또 왕에게 고하여 가로되 제사장 힐기야가 내게 책을 주더이다 하고 왕의 앞에서 읽으매
  Then Shaphan the secretary informed the king, "Hilkiah the priest has given me a book." And Shaphan read from it in the presence of the king.

11. 왕이 율법책의 말을 듣자 곧 그 옷을 찢으니라
  When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his robes.

12. 왕이 제사장 힐기야와 사반의 아들 아히감과 미가야의 아들 악볼과 서기관 사반과 왕의 시신 아사야에게 명하여 가로되
  He gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Acbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king's attendant:

13. 너희는 가서 나와 백성과 온 유다를 위하여 이 발견한 책의 말씀에 대하여 여호와께 물으라 우리 열조가 이 책의 말씀을 듣지 아니하며 이 책에 우리를 위하여 기록된 모든 것을 준행치 아니하였으므로 여호와께서 우리에게 발하신 진노가 크도다
  "Go and inquire of the LORD for me and for the people and for all Judah about what is written in this book that has been found. Great is the LORD'S anger that burns against us because our fathers have not obeyed the words of this book; they have not acted in accordance with all that is written there concerning us."

14. 이에 제사장 힐기야와 또 아히감과 악볼과 사반과 아사야가 여선지 훌다에게로 나아가니 저는 할하스의 손자 디과의 아들 예복을 주관하는 살룸의 아내라 예루살렘 둘째 구역에 거하였더라 저희가 더불어 말하매
  Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Acbor, Shaphan and Asaiah went to speak to the prophetess Huldah, who was the wife of Shallum son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe. She lived in Jerusalem, in the Second District.

15. 훌다가 저희에게 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 너희는 너희를 내게 보낸 사람에게 고하기를
  She said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Tell the man who sent you to me,

16. 여호와의 말씀이 내가 이 곳과 그 거민에게 재앙을 내리되 곧 유다 왕의 읽은 책의 모든 말대로 하리니
  'This is what the LORD says: I am going to bring disaster on this place and its people, according to everything written in the book the king of Judah has read.

17. 이는 이 백성이 나를 버리고 다른 신에게 분향하며 그 손의 모든 소위로 나의 노를 격발하였음이라 그러므로 나의 이 곳을 향하여 발한 진노가 꺼지지 아니하리라 하라 하셨느니라
  Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and provoked me to anger by all the idols their hands have made, my anger will burn against this place and will not be quenched.'

18. 너희를 보내어 여호와께 묻게 한 유다 왕에게는 너희가 이렇게 고하라 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 네가 들은 말을 의논컨대
  Tell the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, 'This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says concerning the words you heard:

19. 내가 이 곳과 그 거민에게 대하여 빈 터가 되고 저주가 되리라 한 말을 네가 듣고 마음이 연하여 여호와 앞 곧 내 앞에서 겸비하여 옷을 찢고 통곡하였으므로 나도 네 말을 들었노라 여호와가 말하였느니라
  Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people, that they would become accursed and laid waste, and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard you, declares the LORD.

20. 그러므로 내가 너로 너의 열조에게 돌아가서 평안히 묘실로 들어가게 하리니 내가 이 곳에 내리는 모든 재앙을 네가 눈으로 보지 못하리라 하셨느니라 사자들이 왕에게 복명하니라
  Therefore I will gather you to your fathers, and you will be buried in peace. Your eyes will not see all the disaster I am going to bring on this place.'" So they took her answer back to the king.

히브리서 4

1. 그러므로 우리는 두려워할지니 그의 안식에 들어갈 약속이 남아 있을지라도 너희 중에 혹 미치지 못할 자가 있을까 함이라
  Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

2. 저희와 같이 우리도 복음 전함을 받은 자이나 그러나 그 들은 바 말씀이 저희에게 유익되지 못한 것은 듣는 자가 믿음을 화합지 아니함이라
  For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.

3. 이미 믿는 우리들은 저 안식에 들어가는도다 그 말씀하신 바와 같으니 내가 노하여 맹세한 바와 같이 저희가 내 안식에 들어오지 못하리라 하셨다 하였으나 세상을 창조할 때부터 그 일이 이루었느니라
  Now we who have believed enter that rest, just as God has said, "So I declared on oath in my anger, 'They shall never enter my rest.'" And yet his work has been finished since the creation of the world.

4. 제 칠 일에 관하여는 어디 이렇게 일렀으되 하나님은 제 칠 일에 그의 모든 일을 쉬셨다 하였으며
  For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: "And on the seventh day God rested from all his work."

5. 또다시 거기 저희가 내 안식에 들어오지 못하리라 하였으니
  And again in the passage above he says, "They shall never enter my rest."

6. 그러면 거기 들어갈 자들이 남아 있거니와 복음 전함을 먼저 받은 자들은 순종치 아니함을 인하여 들어가지 못하였으므로
  It still remains that some will enter that rest, and those who formerly had the gospel preached to them did not go in, because of their disobedience.

7. 오랜 후에 다윗의 글에 다시 어느 날을 정하여 오늘날이라고 미리 이같이 일렀으되 오늘날 너희가 그의 음성을 듣거든 너희 마음을 강퍅케 말라 하였나니
  Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."

8. 만일 여호수아가 저희에게 안식을 주었더면 그 후에 다른 날을 말씀하지 아니하셨으리라
  For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.

9. 그런즉 안식할 때가 하나님의 백성에게 남아 있도다
  There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

10. 이미 그의 안식에 들어간 자는 하나님이 자기 일을 쉬심과 같이 자기 일을 쉬느니라
  for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.

11. 그러므로 우리가 저 안식에 들어가기를 힘쓸지니 이는 누구든지 저 순종치 아니하는 본에 빠지지 않게 하려 함이라
  Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.

12. 하나님의 말씀은 살았고 운동력이 있어 좌우에 날선 어떤 검보다도 예리하여 혼과 영과 및 관절과 골수를 찔러 쪼개기까지 하며 또 마음의 생각과 뜻을 감찰하나니
  For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

13. 지으신 것이 하나라도 그 앞에 나타나지 않음이 없고 오직 만물이 우리를 상관하시는 자의 눈 앞에 벌거벗은 것같이 드러나느니라
  Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

14. 그러므로 우리에게 큰 대제사장이 있으니 승천하신 자 곧 하나님 아들 예수시라 우리가 믿는 도리를 굳게 잡을찌어다
  Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

15. 우리에게 있는 대제사장은 우리 연약함을 체휼하지 아니하는 자가 아니요 모든 일에 우리와 한결같이 시험을 받은 자로되 죄는 없으시니라
  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.

16. 그러므로 우리가 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라
  Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

요엘 1

1. 여호와께서 브두엘의 아들 요엘에게 이르신 말씀이라
  The word of the LORD that came to Joel son of Pethuel.

2. 늙은 자들아 너희는 이것을 들을찌어다 땅의 모든 거민아 너희는 귀를 기울일찌어다 너희의 날에나 너희 열조의 날에 이런 일이 있었느냐
  Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Has anything like this ever happened in your days or in the days of your forefathers?

3. 너희는 이 일을 너희 자녀에게 고하고 너희 자녀는 자기 자녀에게 고하고 그 자녀는 후시대에 고할 것이니라
  Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.

4. 팟종이가 남긴 것을 메뚜기가 먹고 메뚜기가 남긴 것을 늣이 먹고 늣이 남긴 것을 황충이 먹었도다
  What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.

5. 무릇 취하는 자들아 너희는 깨어 울찌어다 포도주를 마시는 자들아 너희는 곡할찌어다 이는 단 포도주가 너희 입에서 끊어졌음이니
  Wake up, you drunkards, and weep! Wail, all you drinkers of wine; wail because of the new wine, for it has been snatched from your lips.

6. 한 이족이 내 땅에 올라왔음이로다 그들은 강하고 무수하며 그 이는 사자의 이 같고 그 어금니는 암사자의 어금니 같도다
  A nation has invaded my land, powerful and without number; it has the teeth of a lion, the fangs of a lioness.

7. 그들이 내 포도나무를 멸하며 내 무화과나무를 긁어 말갛게 벗겨서 버리니 그 모든 가지가 하얗게 되었도다
  It has laid waste my vines and ruined my fig trees. It has stripped off their bark and thrown it away, leaving their branches white.

8. 너희는 애곡하기를 처녀가 어렸을 때에 약혼한 남편을 인하여 굵은 베로 동이고 애곡함 같이 할찌어다
  Mourn like a virgin in sackcloth grieving for the husband of her youth.

9. 소제와 전제가 여호와의 전에 끊어졌고 여호와께 수종드는 제사장은 슬퍼하도다
  Grain offerings and drink offerings are cut off from the house of the LORD. The priests are in mourning, those who minister before the LORD.

10. 밭이 황무하고 토지가 처량하니 곡식이 진하여 새 포도주가 말랐고 기름이 다하였도다
  The fields are ruined, the ground is dried up; the grain is destroyed, the new wine is dried up, the oil fails.

11. 농부들아 너희는 부끄러워할찌어다 포도원을 다스리는 자들아 곡할찌어다 이는 밀과 보리의 연고라 밭의 소산이 다 없어졌음이로다
  Despair, you farmers, wail, you vine growers; grieve for the wheat and the barley, because the harvest of the field is destroyed.

12. 포도나무가 시들었고 무화과나무가 말랐으며 석류나무와 대추나무와 사과나무와 및 밭의 모든 나무가 다 시들었으니 이러므로 인간의 희락이 말랐도다
  The vine is dried up and the fig tree is withered; the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree--all the trees of the field--are dried up. Surely the joy of mankind is withered away.

13. 제사장들아 너희는 굵은 베로 동이고 슬피 울찌어다 단에 수종드는 자들아 너희는 곡할찌어다 내 하나님께 수종드는 자들아 너희는 와서 굵은 베를 입고 밤이 맟도록 누울찌어다 이는 소제와 전제를 너희 하나님의 전에 드리지 못함이로다
  Put on sackcloth, O priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.

14. 너희는 금식일을 정하고 성회를 선포하여 장로들과 이 땅 모든 거민을 너희 하나님 여호와의 전으로 몰수히 모으고 여호와께 부르짖을찌어다
  Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.

15. 오호라 그 날이여 여호와의 날이 가까왔나니 곧 멸망같이 전능자에게로서 이르리로다
  Alas for that day! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

16. 식물이 우리 목전에 끊어지지 아니하였느냐 기쁨과 즐거움이 우리 하나님의 전에 끊어지지 아니하였느냐
  Has not the food been cut off before our very eyes--joy and gladness from the house of our God?

17. 씨가 흙덩이 아래서 썩어졌고 창고가 비었고 곳간이 무너졌으니 이는 곡식이 시들었음이로다
  The seeds are shriveled beneath the clods. The storehouses are in ruins, the granaries have been broken down, for the grain has dried up.

18. 생축이 탄식하고 소 떼가 민망해 하니 이는 꼴이 없음이라 양 떼도 피곤하도다
  How the cattle moan! The herds mill about because they have no pasture; even the flocks of sheep are suffering.

19. 여호와여 내가 주께 부르짖으오니 불이 거친 들의 풀을 살랐고 불꽃이 밭의 모든 나무를 살랐음이니이다
  To you, O LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the open pastures and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.

20. 들짐승도 주를 향하여 헐떡거리오니 시내가 다 말랐고 들의 풀이 불에 탔음이니이다
  Even the wild animals pant for you; the streams of water have dried up and fire has devoured the open pastures.

시편 140-141

1. 여호와여 악인에게서 나를 건지시며 강포한 자에게서 나를 보전하소서
  For the director of music. A psalm of David. Rescue me, O LORD, from evil men; protect me from men of violence,

2. 저희가 중심에 해하기를 꾀하고 싸우기 위하여 매일 모이오며
  who devise evil plans in their hearts and stir up war every day.

3. 뱀같이 그 혀를 날카롭게 하니 그 입술 아래는 독사의 독이 있나이다 (셀라)
  They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent's; the poison of vipers is on their lips. Selah

4. 여호와여 나를 지키사 악인의 손에 빠지지 않게 하시며 나를 보전하사 강포한 자에게서 벗어나게 하소서 저희는 나의 걸음을 밀치려 하나이다
  Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet.

5. 교만한 자가 나를 해하려고 올무와 줄을 놓으며 길 곁에 그물을 치며 함정을 두었나이다 (셀라)
  Proud men have hidden a snare for me; they have spread out the cords of their net and have set traps for me along my path. Selah

6. 내가 여호와께 말하기를 주는 나의 하나님이시니 여호와여 나의 간구하는 소리에 귀를 기울이소서 하였나이다
  O LORD, I say to you, "You are my God." Hear, O LORD, my cry for mercy.

7. 내 구원의 능력이신 주 여호와여 전쟁의 날에 주께서 내 머리를 가리우셨나이다
  O Sovereign LORD, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle--

8. 여호와여 악인의 소원을 허락지 마시며 그 악한 꾀를 이루지 못하게 하소서 저희가 자고할까 하나이다 (셀라)
  do not grant the wicked their desires, O LORD; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah

9. 나를 에우는 자가 그 머리를 들 때에 저희 입술의 해가 저희를 덮게 하소서
  Let the heads of those who surround me be covered with the trouble their lips have caused.

10. 뜨거운 숯불이 저희에게 떨어지게 하시며 불 가운데와 깊은 웅덩이에 저희로 빠져 다시 일어나지 못하게 하소서
  Let burning coals fall upon them; may they be thrown into the fire, into miry pits, never to rise.

11. 악담하는 자는 세상에서 굳게 서지 못하며 강포한 자에게는 재앙이 따라서 패망케 하리이다
  Let slanderers not be established in the land; may disaster hunt down men of violence.

12. 내가 알거니와 여호와는 고난당하는 자를 신원하시며 궁핍한 자에게 공의를 베푸시리이다
  I know that the LORD secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy.

13. 진실로 의인이 주의 이름에 감사하며 정직한 자가 주의 앞에 거하리이다
  Surely the righteous will praise your name and the upright will live before you.

1. 여호와여 내가 주를 불렀사오니 속히 내게 임하소서 내가 주께 부르짖을 때에 내 음성에 귀를 기울이소서
  A psalm of David. O LORD, I call to you; come quickly to me. Hear my voice when I call to you.

2. 나의 기도가 주의 앞에 분향함과 같이 되며 나의 손 드는 것이 저녁 제사같이 되게 하소서
  May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

3. 여호와여 내 입 앞에 파숫군을 세우시고 내 입술의 문을 지키소서
  Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.

4. 내 마음이 악한 일에 기울어 죄악을 행하는 자와 함께 악을 행치 말게 하시며 저희 진수를 먹지 말게 하소서
  Let not my heart be drawn to what is evil, to take part in wicked deeds with men who are evildoers; let me not eat of their delicacies.

5. 의인이 나를 칠찌라도 은혜로 여기며 책망할찌라도 머리의 기름같이 여겨서 내 머리가 이를 거절치 아니할찌라 저희의 재난 중에라도 내가 항상 기도하리로다
  Let a righteous man strike me--it is a kindness; let him rebuke me--it is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it. Yet my prayer is ever against the deeds of evildoers;

6. 저희의 관장들이 바위 곁에 내려 던지웠도다 내 말이 달므로 무리가 들으리로다
  their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs, and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken.

7. 사람이 밭 갈아 흙을 부스러뜨림같이 우리의 해골이 음부 문에 흩어졌도다
  They will say,"As one plows and breaks up the earth, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave."

8. 주 여호와여 내 눈이 주께 향하며 내가 주께 피하오니 내 영혼을 빈궁한 대로 버려 두지 마옵소서
  But my eyes are fixed on you, O Sovereign LORD; in you I take refuge--do not give me over to death.

9. 나를 지키사 저희가 나를 잡으려고 놓은 올무와 행악자의 함정에서 벗어나게 하옵소서
  Keep me from the snares they have laid for me, from the traps set by evildoers.

10. 악인은 자기 그물에 걸리게 하시고 나는 온전히 면하게 하소서
  Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.
