열왕기하 24

1. 여호야김 시대에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 올라오매 여호야김이 삼 년을 섬기다가 돌이켜 저를 배반하였더니
  During Jehoiakim's reign, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon invaded the land, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. But then he changed his mind and rebelled against Nebuchadnezzar.

2. 여호와께서 그 종 선지자들로 하신 말씀과 같이 갈대아의 부대와 아람의 부대와 모압의 부대와 암몬 자손의 부대를 여호야김에게로 보내어 유다를 쳐 멸하려 하시니
  The LORD sent Babylonian, Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him. He sent them to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the LORD proclaimed by his servants the prophets.

3. 이 일이 유다에 임함은 곧 여호와의 명하신 바로 저희를 자기 앞에서 물리치고자 하심이니 이는 므낫세의 지은 모든 죄로 인함이며
  Surely these things happened to Judah according to the LORD'S command, in order to remove them from his presence because of the sins of Manasseh and all he had done,

4. 또 저가 무죄한 자의 피를 흘려 그 피로 예루살렘에 가득하게 하였음이라 여호와께서 사하시기를 즐겨하지 아니하시니라
  including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the LORD was not willing to forgive.

5. 여호야김의 남은 사적과 모든 행한 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
  As for the other events of Jehoiakim's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?

6. 여호야김이 그 열조와 함께 자매 그 아들 여호야긴이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
  Jehoiakim rested with his fathers. And Jehoiachin his son succeeded him as king.

7. 애굽 왕이 다시는 그 나라에서 나오지 못하였으니 이는 바벨론 왕이 애굽 하수에서부터 유브라데 하수까지 애굽 왕에게 속한 땅을 다 취하였음이더라
  The king of Egypt did not march out from his own country again, because the king of Babylon had taken all his territory, from the Wadi of Egypt to the Euphrates River.

8. 여호야긴이 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 십팔 세라 예루살렘에서 석 달을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 느후스다라 예루살렘 엘라단의 딸이더라
  Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother's name was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan; she was from Jerusalem.

9. 여호야긴이 그 부친의 모든 행위를 본받아 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하였더라
  He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father had done.

10. 그 때에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 신복들이 예루살렘에 올라와서 그 성을 에워싸니라
  At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it,

11. 그 신복들이 에워쌀 때에 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살도 그 성에 이르니
  and Nebuchadnezzar himself came up to the city while his officers were besieging it.

12. 유다 왕 여호야긴이 그 모친과 신복과 방백들과 내시들과 함께 바벨론 왕에게 나아가매 왕이 잡으니 때는 바벨론 왕 팔년이라
  Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.

13. 저가 여호와의 전의 모든 보물과 왕궁 보물을 집어내고 또 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 만든 것 곧 여호와의 전의 금기명을 다 훼파하였으니 여호와의 말씀과 같이 되었더라
  As the LORD had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed all the treasures from the temple of the LORD and from the royal palace, and took away all the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the LORD.

14. 저가 또 예루살렘의 모든 백성과 모든 방백과 모든 용사 합 일만 명과 모든 공장과 대장장이를 사로잡아 가매 빈천한 자 외에는 그 땅에 남은 자가 없었더라
  He carried into exile all Jerusalem: all the officers and fighting men, and all the craftsmen and artisans--a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.

15. 저가 여호야긴을 바벨론으로 사로잡아 가고 왕의 모친과 왕의 아내들과 내시와 나라에 권세 있는 자도 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 사로잡아 가고
  Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king's mother, his wives, his officials and the leading men of the land.

16. 또 용사 칠천과 공장과 대장장이 일천 곧 다 강장하여 싸움에 능한 자들을 바벨론으로 사로잡아 가고
  The king of Babylon also deported to Babylon the entire force of seven thousand fighting men, strong and fit for war, and a thousand craftsmen and artisans.

17. 바벨론 왕이 또 여호야긴의 아자비 맛다니야로 대신하여 왕을 삼고 그 이름을 고쳐 시드기야라 하였더라
  He made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin's uncle, king in his place and changed his name to Zedekiah.

18. 시드기야가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십 일세라 예루살렘에서 십 일년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 하무달이라 립나 예레먀의 딸이더라
  Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother's name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah.

19. 시드기야가 여호야김의 모든 행위를 본받아 여호와 보시기에 악을 행한지라
  He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as Jehoiakim had done.

20. 여호와께서 예루살렘과 유다를 진노하심이 저희를 그 앞에서 쫓아내실 때까지 이르렀더라 시드기야가 바벨론 왕을 배반하니라
  It was because of the LORD'S anger that all this happened to Jerusalem and Judah, and in the end he thrust them from his presence. Now Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

히브리서 6

1. 그러므로 우리가 그리스도 도의 초보를 버리고 죽은 행실을 회개함과 하나님께 대한 신앙과
  Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,

2. 세례들과 안수와 죽은 자의 부활과 영원한 심판에 관한 교훈의 터를 다시 닦지 말고 완전한데 나아갈찌니라
  instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

3. 하나님께서 허락하시면 우리가 이것을 하리라
  And God permitting, we will do so.

4. 한번 비췸을 얻고 하늘의 은사를 맛보고 성령에 참예한 바 되고
  It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit,

5. 하나님의 선한 말씀과 내세의 능력을 맛보고
  who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age,

6. 타락한 자들은 다시 새롭게 하여 회개케 할 수 없나니 이는 자기가 하나님의 아들을 다시 십자가에 못 박아 현저히 욕을 보임이라
  if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

7. 땅이 그 위에 자주 내리는 비를 흡수하여 밭 가는 자들의 쓰기에 합당한 채소를 내면 하나님께 복을 받고
  Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God.

8. 만일 가시와 엉겅퀴를 내면 버림을 당하고 저주함에 가까와 그 마지막은 불사름이 되리라
  But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

9. 사랑하는 자들아 우리가 이같이 말하나 너희에게는 이보다 나은 것과 구원에 가까운 것을 확신하노라
  Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are confident of better things in your case--things that accompany salvation.

10. 하나님이 불의치 아니하사 너희 행위와 그의 이름을 위하여 나타낸 사랑으로 이미 성도를 섬긴 것과 이제도 섬기는 것을 잊어버리지 아니하시느니라
  God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

11. 우리가 간절히 원하는 것은 너희 각 사람이 동일한 부지런을 나타내어 끝까지 소망의 풍성함에 이르러
  We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.

12. 게으르지 아니하고 믿음과 오래 참음으로 말미암아 약속들을 기업으로 받는 자들을 본받는 자 되게 하려는 것이니라
  We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

13. 하나님이 아브라함에게 약속하실 때에 가리켜 맹세할 자가 자기보다 더 큰 이가 없으므로 자기를 가리켜 맹세하여
  When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself,

14. 가라사대 내가 반드시 너를 복 주고 복 주며 너를 번성케 하고 번성케 하리라 하셨더니
  saying, "I will surely bless you and give you many descendants."

15. 저가 이같이 오래 참아 약속을 받았느니라
  And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.

16. 사람들은 자기보다 더 큰 자를 가리켜 맹세하나니 맹세는 저희 모든 다투는 일에 최후 확정이니라
  Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument.

17. 하나님은 약속을 기업으로 받는 자들에게 그 뜻이 변치 아니함을 충분히 나타내시려고 그 일에 맹세로 보증하셨나니
  Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath.

18. 이는 하나님이 거짓말을 하실 수 없는 이 두 가지 변치 못할 사실을 인하여 앞에 있는 소망을 얻으려고 피하여 가는 우리로 큰 안위를 받게 하려 하심이라
  God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged.

19. 우리가 이 소망이 있는 것은 영혼의 닻 같아서 튼튼하고 견고하여 휘장 안에 들어가나니
  We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,

20. 그리로 앞서 가신 예수께서 멜기세덱의 반차를 좇아 영원히 대제사장이 되어 우리를 위하여 들어가셨느니라
  where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.

요엘 3

1. 그 날 곧 내가 유다와 예루살렘의 사로잡힌 자를 돌아오게 할 그 때에
  'In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,

2. 내가 만국을 모아 데리고 여호사밧 골짜기에 내려가서 내 백성 곧 내 기업 된 이스라엘을 위하여 거기서 그들을 국문하리니 이는 그들이 이스라엘을 열국 중에 흩고 나의 땅을 나누었음이며
  I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.

3. 또 제비뽑아 내 백성을 취하고 동남으로 기생을 바꾸며 동녀로 술을 바꾸어 마셨음이니라
  They cast lots for my people and traded boys for prostitutes; they sold girls for wine that they might drink.

4. 두로와 시돈과 블레셋 사방아 너희가 나와 무슨 상관이 있느냐 너희가 내게 보복하겠느냐 만일 내게 보복하면 너희의 보복하는 것을 내가 속속히 너희 머리에 돌리리니
  'Now what have you against me, O Tyre and Sidon and all you regions of Philistia? Are you repaying me for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will swiftly and speedily return on your own heads what you have done.

5. 곧 너희가 내 은과 금을 취하고 나의 진기한 보물을 너희 신궁으로 가져갔으며
  For you took my silver and my gold and carried off my finest treasures to your temples.

6. 또 유다 자손과 예루살렘 자손들을 헬라 족속에게 팔아서 본 지경에서 멀리 떠나게 하였음이니라
  You sold the people of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks, that you might send them far from their homeland.

7. 보라 내가 그들을 너희가 팔아 이르게 한 곳에서 일으켜 나오게 하고 너희의 행한 것을 너희 머리에 돌려서
  'See, I am going to rouse them out of the places to which you sold them, and I will return on your own heads what you have done.

8. 너희 자녀를 유다 자손의 손에 팔리니 그들은 다시 먼 나라 스바 사람에게 팔리라 나 여호와가 말하였느니라
  I will sell your sons and daughters to the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, a nation far away.' The LORD has spoken.

9. 너희는 열국에 이렇게 광포할찌어다 너희는 전쟁을 준비하고 용사를 격려하고 무사로 다 가까이 나아와서 올라오게 할찌어다
  Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare for war! Rouse the warriors! Let all the fighting men draw near and attack.

10. 너희는 보습을 쳐서 칼을 만들찌어다 낫을 쳐서 창을 만들찌어다 약한 자도 이르기를 나는 강하다 할찌어다
  Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, 'I am strong!'

11. 사면의 열국아 너희는 속히 와서 모일찌어다 여호와여 주의 용사들로 그리로 내려오게 하옵소서
  Come quickly, all you nations from every side, and assemble there. Bring down your warriors, O LORD!

12. 열국은 동하여 여호사밧 골짜기로 올라올찌어다 내가 거기 앉아서 사면의 열국을 다 심판하리로다
  'Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side.

13. 너희는 낫을 쓰라 곡식이 익었도다 와서 밟을찌어다 포도주 틀이 가득히 차고 포도주 독이 넘치니 그들의 악이 큼이로다
  Swing the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, trample the grapes, for the winepress is full and the vats overflow--so great is their wickedness!'

14. 사람이 많음이여, 판결 골짜기에 사람이 많음이여, 판결 골짜기에 여호와의 날이 가까움이로다
  Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

15. 해와 달이 캄캄하며 별들이 그 빛을 거두도다
  The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine.

16. 나 여호와가 시온에서 부르짖고 예루살렘에서 목소리를 발하리니 하늘과 땅이 진동되리로다 그러나 나 여호와는 내 백성의 피난처, 이스라엘 자손의 산성이 되리로다
  The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the sky will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.

17. 그런즉 너희가 나는 내 성산 시온에 거하는 너희 하나님 여호와인 줄 알 것이라 예루살렘이 거룩하리니 다시는 이방 사람이 그 가운데로 통행하지 못하리로다
  'Then you will know that I, the LORD your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.

18. 그 날에 산들이 단 포도주를 떨어뜨릴 것이며 작은 산들이 젖을 흘릴 것이며 유다 모든 시내가 물을 흘릴 것이며 여호와의 전에서 샘이 흘러 나와서 싯딤 골짜기에 대리라
  'In that day the mountains will drip new wine, and the hills will flow with milk; all the ravines of Judah will run with water. A fountain will flow out of the LORD'S house and will water the valley of acacias.

19. 그러나 애굽은 황무지가 되겠고 에돔은 황무한 들이 되리니 이는 그들이 유다 자손에게 강포를 행하여 무죄한 피를 그 땅에서 흘렸음이니라
  But Egypt will be desolate, Edom a desert waste, because of violence done to the people of Judah, in whose land they shed innocent blood.

20. 유다는 영원히 있겠고 예루살렘은 대대로 있으리라
  Judah will be inhabited forever and Jerusalem through all generations.

21. 내가 전에는 그들의 피 흘림 당한 것을 갚아 주지 아니하였거니와 이제는 갚아 주리니 이는 나 여호와가 시온에 거함이니라
  Their bloodguilt, which I have not pardoned, I will pardon.' The LORD dwells in Zion!

시편 143

1. 여호와여 내 기도를 들으시며 내 간구에 귀를 기울이시고 주의 진실과 의로 내게 응답하소서
  A psalm of David. O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.

2. 주의 종에게 심판을 행치 마소서 주의 목전에는 의로운 인생이 하나도 없나이다
  Do not bring your servant into judgment, for no one living is righteous before you.

3. 원수가 내 영혼을 핍박하며 내 생명을 땅에 엎어서 나로 죽은 지 오랜 자같이 흑암한 곳에 거하게 하였나이다
  The enemy pursues me, he crushes me to the ground; he makes me dwell in darkness like those long dead.

4. 그러므로 내 심령이 속에서 상하며 내 마음이 속에서 참담하니이다
  So my spirit grows faint within me; my heart within me is dismayed.

5. 내가 옛날을 기억하고 주의 모든 행하신 것을 묵상하며 주의 손의 행사를 생각하고
  I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.

6. 주를 향하여 손을 펴고 내 영혼이 마른 땅같이 주를 사모하나이다 (셀라)
  I spread out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah

7. 여호와여 속히 내게 응답하소서 내 영혼이 피곤하니이다 주의 얼굴을 내게서 숨기지 마소서 내가 무덤에 내려가는 자 같을까 두려워하나이다
  Answer me quickly, O LORD; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit.

8. 아침에 나로 주의 인자한 말씀을 듣게 하소서 내가 주를 의뢰함이니이다 나의 다닐 길을 알게 하소서 내가 내 영혼을 주께 받듦이니이다
  Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.

9. 여호와여 나를 내 원수들에게서 건지소서 내가 주께 피하여 숨었나이다
  Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you.

10. 주는 나의 하나님이시니 나를 가르쳐 주의 뜻을 행케 하소서 주의 신이 선하시니 나를 공평한 땅에 인도하소서
  Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.

11. 여호와여 주의 이름을 인하여 나를 살리시고 주의 의로 내 영혼을 환난에서 끌어내소서
  For your name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.

12. 주의 인자하심으로 나의 원수들을 끊으시고 내 영혼을 괴롭게 하는 자를 다 멸하소서 나는 주의 종이니이다
  In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
