열왕기하 20

1. 그 때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 되매 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야가 저에게 나아와서 이르되 여호와의 말씀이 너는 집을 처치하라 네가 죽고 살지 못하리라 하셨나이다
  In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."

2. 히스기야가 낯을 벽으로 향하고 여호와께 기도하여 가로되
  Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,

3. 여호와여 구하오니 내가 진실과 전심으로 주 앞에 행하며 주의 보시기에 선하게 행한 것을 기억하옵소서 하고 심히 통곡하더라
  "Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

4. 이사야가 성읍 가운데까지도 이르기 전에 여호와의 말씀이 저에게 임하여 가라사대
  Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him:

5. 너는 돌아가서 내 백성의 주권자 히스기야에게 이르기를 왕의 조상 다윗의 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 내가 네 기도를 들었고 네 눈물을 보았노라 내가 너를 낫게 하리니 네가 삼일 만에 여호와의 전에 올라가겠고
  "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.

6. 내가 네 날을 십오 년을 더할 것이며 내가 너와 이 성을 앗수르 왕의 손에서 구원하고 내가 나를 위하고 또 내 종 다윗을 위하므로 이 성을 보호하리라 하셨다 하라 하셨더라
  I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.'"

7. 이사야가 가로되 무화과 반죽을 가져오라 하매 무리가 가져다가 그 종처에 놓으니 나으니라
  Then Isaiah said, "Prepare a poultice of figs." They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered.

8. 히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되 여호와께서 나를 낫게 하시고 삼일 만에 여호와의 전에 올라가게 하실 무슨 징조가 있나이까
  Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the LORD on the third day from now?"

9. 이사야가 가로되 여호와의 하신 말씀을 응하게 하실 일에 대하여 여호와께로서 왕에게 한 징조가 임하리이다 해 그림자가 십 도를 나아갈 것이니이까 혹 십 도를 물러갈 것이니이까
  Isaiah answered, "This is the LORD'S sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?"

10. 히스기야가 대답하되 그림자가 십 도를 나아가기는 쉬우니 그리할 것이 아니라 십 도가 물러갈 것이니이다
  "It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back ten steps."

11. 선지자 이사야가 여호와께 간구하매 아하스의 일영표 위에 나아갔던 해 그림자로 십 도를 물러가게 하셨더라
  Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the LORD, and the LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.

12. 그 때에 발라단의 아들 바벨론 왕 부로닥발라단이 히스기야가 병들었다 함을 듣고 편지와 예물을 저에게 보낸지라
  At that time Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of Hezekiah's illness.

13. 히스기야가 사자의 말을 듣고 자기 보물고의 금은과 향품과 보배로운 기름과 그 군기고와 내탕고의 모든 것을 다 사자에게 보였는데 무릇 왕궁과 그 나라 안에 있는 것을 저에게 보이지 아니한 것이 없으니라
  Hezekiah received the messengers and showed them all that was in his storehouses--the silver, the gold, the spices and the fine oil--his armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.

14. 선지자 이사야가 히스기야 왕에게 나아와서 이르되 이 사람들이 무슨 말을 하였으며 어디서부터 왕에게 왔나이까 히스기야가 가로되 먼 지방 바벨론에서 왔나이다
  Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, "What did those men say, and where did they come from?" "From a distant land," Hezekiah replied. "They came from Babylon."

15. 이사야가 가로되 저희가 왕궁에서 무엇을 보았나이까 히스기야가 대답하되 내 궁에 있는 것을 저희가 다 보았나니 나의 내탕고에서 하나도 보이지 아니한 것이 없나이다
  The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?" "They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."

16. 이사야가 히스기야에게 이르되 여호와의 말씀을 들으소서
  Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD:

17. 여호와의 말씀이 날이 이르리니 무릇 왕궁의 모든 것과 왕의 열조가 오늘까지 쌓아 두었던 것을 바벨론으로 옮긴 바 되고 하나도 남지 아니할 것이요
  The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.

18. 또 왕의 몸에서 날 아들 중에서 사로잡혀 바벨론 왕궁의 환관이 되리라 하셨나이다
  And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood, that will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."

19. 히스기야가 이사야에게 이르되 당신의 전한바 여호와의 말씀이 선하니이다 하고 또 가로되 만일 나의 사는 날에 태평과 진실이 있을찐대 어찌 선하지 아니하리요 하니라
  "The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he thought, "Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?"

20. 히스기야의 남은 사적과 그 모든 권력과 못과 수도를 만들어 물을 성중으로 인도하여 들인 일은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
  As for the other events of Hezekiah's reign, all his achievements and how he made the pool and the tunnel by which he brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?

21. 히스기야가 그 열조와 함께 자고 그 아들 므낫세가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
  Hezekiah rested with his fathers. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.

히브리서 2

1. 그러므로 모든 들은 것을 우리가 더욱 간절히 삼갈찌니 혹 흘러 떠내려 갈까 염려하노라
  We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

2. 천사들로 하신 말씀이 견고하게 되어 모든 범죄함과 순종치 아니함이 공변된 보응을 받았거든
  For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,

3. 우리가 이같이 큰 구원을 등한히 여기면 어찌 피하리요 이 구원은 처음에 주로 말씀하신 바요 들은 자들이 우리에게 확증한 바니
  how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.

4. 하나님도 표적들과 기사들과 여러 가지 능력과 및 자기 뜻을 따라 성령의 나눠 주신 것으로써 저희와 함께 증거하셨느니라
  God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

5. 하나님이 우리의 말한 바 장차 오는 세상을 천사들에게는 복종케 하심이 아니라
  It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.

6. 오직 누가 어디 증거하여 가로되 사람이 무엇이관대 주께서 저를 생각하시며 인자가 무엇이관대 주께서 저를 권고하시나이까
  But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

7. 저를 잠간 동안 천사보다 못하게 하시며 영광과 존귀로 관 씌우시며
  You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor

8. 만물을 그 발 아래 복종케 하셨느니라 하였으니 만물로 저에게 복종케 하셨은즉 복종치 않은 것이 하나도 없으나 지금 우리가 만물이 아직 저에게 복종한 것을 보지 못하고
  and put everything under his feet." In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.

9. 오직 우리가 천사들보다 잠간 동안 못하게 하심을 입은 자 곧 죽음의 고난 받으심을 인하여 영광과 존귀로 관 쓰신 예수를 보니 이를 행하심은 하나님의 은혜로 말미암아 모든 사람을 위하여 죽음을 맛보려 하심이라
  But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

10. 만물이 인하고 만물이 말미암은 자에게는 많은 아들을 이끌어 영광에 들어가게 하시는 일에 저희 구원의 주를 고난으로 말미암아 온전케 하심이 합당하도다
  In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.

11. 거룩하게 하시는 자와 거룩하게 함을 입은 자들이 다 하나에서 난지라 그러므로 형제라 부르시기를 부끄러워 아니하시고
  Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.

12. 이르시되 내가 주의 이름을 내 형제들에게 선포하고 내가 주를 교회 중에서 찬송하리라 하셨으며
  He says, "I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises."

13. 또다시 내가 그를 의지하리라 하시고 또다시 볼찌어다 나와 및 하나님께서 내게 주신 자녀라 하셨으니
  And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again he says, "Here am I, and the children God has given me."

14. 자녀들은 혈육에 함께 속하였으매 그도 또한 한 모양으로 혈육에 함께 속하심은 사망으로 말미암아 사망의 세력을 잡은 자 곧 마귀를 없이 하시며
  Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--

15. 또 죽기를 무서워하므로 일생에 매여 종 노릇 하는 모든 자들을 놓아 주려 하심이니
  and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

16. 이는 실로 천사들을 붙들어 주려 하심이 아니요 오직 아브라함의 자손을 붙들어 주려 하심이라
  For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants.

17. 그러므로 저가 범사에 형제들과 같이 되심이 마땅하도다 이는 하나님의 일에 자비하고 충성된 대제사장이 되어 백성의 죄를 구속하려 하심이라
  For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

18. 자기가 시험을 받아 고난을 당하셨은즉 시험받는 자들을 능히 도우시느니라
  Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

호세아 13

1. 에브라임이 말을 발하면 사람이 떨었도다 저가 이스라엘 중에서 자기를 높이더니 바알로 인하여 범죄하므로 망하였거늘
  When Ephraim spoke, men trembled; he was exalted in Israel. But he became guilty of Baal worship and died.

2. 이제도 저희가 더욱 범죄하여 그 은으로 자기를 위하여 우상을 부어 만들되 자기의 공교함을 따라 우상을 만들었으며 그것은 다 장색이 만든 것이어늘 저희가 그것에 대하여 말하기를 제사를 드리는 자는 송아지의 입을 맞출 것이라 하도다
  Now they sin more and more; they make idols for themselves from their silver, cleverly fashioned images, all of them the work of craftsmen. It is said of these people, "They offer human sacrifice and kiss the calf-idols."

3. 이러므로 저희는 아침 구름 같으며 쉽게 사라지는 이슬 같으며 타작 마당에서 광풍에 날리우는 쭉정이 같으며 굴뚝에서 나가는 연기 같으리라
  Therefore they will be like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears, like chaff swirling from a threshing floor, like smoke escaping through a window.

4. 그러나 네가 애굽 땅에서 나옴으로부터 나는 네 하나님 여호와라 나밖에 네가 다른 신을 알지 말 것이라 나 외에는 구원자가 없느니라
  "But I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt. You shall acknowledge no God but me, no Savior except me.

5. 내가 광야 마른 땅에서 너를 권고하였거늘
  I cared for you in the desert, in the land of burning heat.

6. 저희가 먹이운 대로 배부르며 배부름으로 마음이 교만하며 이로 인하여 나를 잊었느니라
  When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.

7. 그러므로 내가 저희에게 사자 같고 길가에서 기다리는 표범 같으니라
  So I will come upon them like a lion, like a leopard I will lurk by the path.

8. 내가 새끼 잃은 곰같이 저희를 만나 그 염통 꺼풀을 찢고 거기서 암사자같이 저희를 삼키리라 들짐승이 저희를 찢으리라
  Like a bear robbed of her cubs, I will attack them and rip them open. Like a lion I will devour them; a wild animal will tear them apart.

9. 이스라엘아 네가 패망하였나니 이는 너를 도와 주는 나를 대적함이니라
  "You are destroyed, O Israel, because you are against me, against your helper.

10. 전에 네가 이르기를 내게 왕과 방백들을 주소서 하였느니라 네 모든 성읍에서 너를 구원할 자 네 왕이 이제 어디 있으며 네 재판장들이 어디 있느냐
  Where is your king, that he may save you? Where are your rulers in all your towns, of whom you said, 'Give me a king and princes'?

11. 내가 분노하므로 네게 왕을 주고 진노하므로 폐하였노라
  So in my anger I gave you a king, and in my wrath I took him away.

12. 에브라임의 불의가 봉함되었고 그 죄가 저장되었나니
  The guilt of Ephraim is stored up, his sins are kept on record.

13. 해산하는 여인의 어려움이 저에게 임하리라 저는 어리석은 자식이로다 때가 임하였나니 산문에서 지체할 것이 아니니라
  Pains as of a woman in childbirth come to him, but he is a child without wisdom; when the time arrives, he does not come to the opening of the womb.

14. 내가 저희를 음부의 권세에서 속량하며 사망에서 구속하리니 사망아 네 재앙이 어디 있느냐 음부야 네 멸망이 어디 있느냐 뉘우침이 내 목전에 숨으리라
  "I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O grave, is your destruction? "I will have no compassion,

15. 저가 비록 형제 중에서 결실하나 동풍이 오리니 곧 광야에서 일어나는 여호와의 바람이라 그 근원이 마르며 그 샘이 마르고 그 적축한 바 모든 보배의 그릇이 약탈되리로다
  even though he thrives among his brothers. An east wind from the LORD will come, blowing in from the desert; his spring will fail and his well dry up. His storehouse will be plundered of all its treasures.

16. 사마리아가 그 하나님을 배반하였으므로 형벌을 당하여 칼에 엎드러질 것이요 그 어린아이는 부숴뜨리우며 그 아이 밴 여인은 배가 갈리우리라
  The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open."

시편 137-138

1. 우리가 바벨론의 여러 강변 거기 앉아서 시온을 기억하며 울었도다
  By the rivers of Babylon we sat and wept when we remembered Zion.

2. 그 중의 버드나무에 우리가 우리의 수금을 걸었나니
  There on the poplars we hung our harps,

3. 이는 우리를 사로잡은 자가 거기서 우리에게 노래를 청하며 우리를 황폐케 한 자가 기쁨을 청하고 자기들을 위하여 시온 노래 중 하나를 노래하라 함이로다
  for there our captors asked us for songs, our tormentors demanded songs of joy; they said, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"

4. 우리가 이방에 있어서 어찌 여호와의 노래를 부를꼬
  How can we sing the songs of the LORD while in a foreign land?

5. 예루살렘아 내가 너를 잊을찐대 내 오른손이 그 재주를 잊을찌로다
  If I forget you, O Jerusalem, may my right hand forget its skill.

6. 내가 예루살렘을 기억지 아니하거나 내가 너를 나의 제일 즐거워하는 것보다 지나치게 아니할찐대 내 혀가 내 입 천장에 붙을찌로다
  May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you, if I do not consider Jerusalem my highest joy.

7. 여호와여 예루살렘이 해받던 날을 기억하시고 에돔 자손을 치소서 저희 말이 훼파하라 훼파하라 그 기초까지 훼파하라 하였나이다
  Remember, O LORD, what the Edomites did on the day Jerusalem fell. "Tear it down," they cried, "tear it down to its foundations!"

8. 여자 같은 멸망할 바벨론아 네가 우리에게 행한 대로 네게 갚는 자가 유복하리로다
  O Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, happy is he who repays you for what you have done to us--

9. 네 어린것들을 반석에 메어치는 자는 유복하리로다
  he who seizes your infants and dashes them against the rocks.

1. 내가 전심으로 주께 감사하며 신들 앞에서 주께 찬양하리이다
  Of David. I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; before the "gods" I will sing your praise.

2. 내가 주의 성전을 향하여 경배하며 주의 인자하심과 성실하심을 인하여 주의 이름에 감사하오리니 이는 주께서 주의 말씀을 주의 모든 이름 위에 높게 하셨음이라
  I will bow down toward your holy temple and will praise your name for your love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.

3. 내가 간구하는 날에 주께서 응답하시고 내 영혼을 장려하여 강하게 하셨나이다
  When I called, you answered me; you made me bold and stouthearted.

4. 여호와여 땅의 열왕이 주께 감사할 것은 저희가 주의 입의 말씀을 들음이오며
  May all the kings of the earth praise you, O LORD, when they hear the words of your mouth.

5. 저희가 여호와의 도를 노래할 것은 여호와의 영광이 크심이니이다
  May they sing of the ways of the LORD, for the glory of the LORD is great.

6. 여호와께서 높이 계셔도 낮은 자를 하감하시며 멀리서도 교만한 자를 아시나이다
  Though the LORD is on high, he looks upon the lowly, but the proud he knows from afar.

7. 내가 환난 중에 다닐찌라도 주께서 나를 소성케 하시고 주의 손을 펴사 내 원수들의 노를 막으시며 주의 오른손이 나를 구원하시리이다
  Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.

8. 여호와께서 내게 관계된 것을 완전케 하실찌라 여호와여 주의 인자하심이 영원하오니 주의 손으로 지으신 것을 버리지 마옵소서
  The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O LORD, endures forever--do not abandon the works of your hands.
