열왕기하 14

1. 이스라엘 왕 여호아하스의 아들 요아스 이년에 유다 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 왕이 되니
  In the second year of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel, Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah began to reign.

2. 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 이십구 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 여호앗단이라 예루살렘 사람이더라
  He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother's name was Jehoaddin; she was from Jerusalem.

3. 아마샤가 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하였으나 그 조상 다윗과는 같지 아니하였으며 그 부친 요아스의 행한 대로 다 행하였어도
  He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, but not as his father David had done. In everything he followed the example of his father Joash.

4. 산당을 제하지 아니하였으므로 백성이 오히려 산당에서 제사를 드리며 분향하였더라
  The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.

5. 나라가 그 손에 굳게 서매 그 부왕을 죽인 신복들을 죽였으나
  After the kingdom was firmly in his grasp, he executed the officials who had murdered his father the king.

6. 왕을 죽인 자의 자녀들은 죽이지 아니하였으니 이는 모세의 율법책에 기록된 대로 함이라 곧 여호와께서 명하여 이르시기를 자녀로 인하여 아비를 죽이지 말 것이요 아비로 인하여 자녀를 죽이지 말 것이라 오직 사람마다 자기의 죄로 인하여 죽을 것이니라 하셨더라
  Yet he did not put the sons of the assassins to death, in accordance with what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses where the LORD commanded: "Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sins."

7. 아마샤가 염곡에서 에돔 사람 일만을 죽이고 또 셀라를 쳐서 취하고 이름을 욕드엘이라 하였더니 오늘까지 그러하니라
  He was the one who defeated ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt and captured Sela in battle, calling it Joktheel, the name it has to this day.

8. 아마샤가 예후의 손자 여호아하스의 아들 이스라엘 왕 요아스에게 사자를 보내어 이르되 오라 우리가 서로 대면하자 한지라
  Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, with the challenge: "Come, meet me face to face."

9. 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 유다 왕 아마샤에게 보내어 이르되 레바논 가시나무가 레바논 백향목에게 보내어 이르기를 네 딸을 내 아들에게 주어 아내를 삼게 하라 하였더니 레바논 들짐승이 지나가다가 그 가시나무를 짓밟았느니라
  But Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah: "A thistle in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar in Lebanon, 'Give your daughter to my son in marriage.' Then a wild beast in Lebanon came along and trampled the thistle underfoot.

10. 네가 에돔을 쳐서 파하였으므로 마음이 교만하였으니 스스로 영광을 삼아 궁에나 거하라 어찌하여 화를 자취하여 너와 유다가 함께 망하고자 하느냐 하나
  You have indeed defeated Edom and now you are arrogant. Glory in your victory, but stay at home! Why ask for trouble and cause your own downfall and that of Judah also?"

11. 아마샤가 듣지 아니하므로 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 올라와서 유다 왕 아마샤로 더불어 유다의 벧세메스에서 대면하였더니
  Amaziah, however, would not listen, so Jehoash king of Israel attacked. He and Amaziah king of Judah faced each other at Beth Shemesh in Judah.

12. 유다가 이스라엘 앞에서 패하여 각기 장막으로 도망한지라
  Judah was routed by Israel, and every man fled to his home.

13. 이스라엘 왕 요아스가 벧세메스에서 아하시야의 손자 요아스의 아들 유다 왕 아마샤를 사로잡고 예루살렘에 이르러 예루살렘 성벽을 에브라임 문에서부터 성 모퉁이 문까지 사백 규빗을 헐고
  Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, at Beth Shemesh. Then Jehoash went to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate--a section about six hundred feet long.

14. 또 여호와의 전과 왕궁 곳간에 있는 금은과 모든 기명을 취하고 또 사람을 볼모로 잡아가지고 사마리아로 돌아갔더라
  He took all the gold and silver and all the articles found in the temple of the LORD and in the treasuries of the royal palace. He also took hostages and returned to Samaria.

15. 요아스의 남은 사적과 그 권력과 또 유다 왕 아마샤와 서로 싸운 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
  As for the other events of the reign of Jehoash, what he did and his achievements, including his war against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

16. 요아스가 그 열조와 함께 자매 이스라엘 왕들과 사마리아에 함께 장사되고 그 아들 여로보암이 대신하여 왕이 되니라
  Jehoash rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel. And Jeroboam his son succeeded him as king.

17. 이스라엘 왕 여호아하스의 아들 요아스가 죽은 후에도 유다 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 십오 년을 생존하였더라
  Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah lived for fifteen years after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel.

18. 아마샤의 남은 행적은 유다 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
  As for the other events of Amaziah's reign, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?

19. 예루살렘에서 무리가 저를 모반한 고로 저가 라기스로 도망하였더니 모반한 무리가 사람을 라기스로 따라 보내어 저를 거기서 죽이게 하고
  They conspired against him in Jerusalem, and he fled to Lachish, but they sent men after him to Lachish and killed him there.

20. 그 시체를 말에 실어다가 예루살렘에서 그 열조와 함께 다윗 성에 장사하니라
  He was brought back by horse and was buried in Jerusalem with his fathers, in the City of David.

21. 유다 온 백성이 아사랴로 그 부친 아마샤를 대신하여 왕을 삼으니 때에 나이 십 륙세라
  Then all the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.

22. 아마샤가 그 열조와 함께 잔 후에 아사랴가 엘랏을 건축하여 유다에 돌렸더라
  He was the one who rebuilt Elath and restored it to Judah after Amaziah rested with his fathers.

23. 유다 왕 요아스의 아들 아마샤 십오년에 이스라엘 왕 요아스의 아들 여로보암이 사마리아에서 왕이 되어 사십일 년을 위에 있으며
  In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah, Jeroboam son of Jehoash king of Israel became king in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years.

24. 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 이스라엘로 범죄케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 죄에서 떠나지 아니하였더라
  He did evil in the eyes of the LORD and did not turn away from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.

25. 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 그 종 가드헤벨 아밋대의 아들 선지자 요나로 하신 말씀과 같이 여로보암이 이스라엘 지경을 회복하되 하맛 어귀에서부터 아라바 바다까지 하였으니
  He was the one who restored the boundaries of Israel from Lebo Hamath to the Sea of the Arabah, in accordance with the word of the LORD, the God of Israel, spoken through his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher.

26. 이는 여호와께서 이스라엘의 고난이 심하여 매인 자도 없고 놓인 자도 없고 이스라엘을 도울 자도 없음을 보셨고
  The LORD had seen how bitterly everyone in Israel, whether slave or free, was suffering; there was no one to help them.

27. 여호와께서 또 이스라엘의 이름을 도말하여 천하에 없이 하겠다고도 아니하셨으므로 요아스의 아들 여로보암의 손으로 구원하심이었더라
  And since the LORD had not said he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam son of Jehoash.

28. 여로보암의 남은 사적과 모든 행한 일과 그 권력으로 싸운 일과 다메섹을 회복한 일과 이전에 유다에 속하였던 하맛을 이스라엘에 돌린 일은 이스라엘 왕 역대지략에 기록되지 아니하였느냐
  As for the other events of Jeroboam's reign, all he did, and his military achievements, including how he recovered for Israel both Damascus and Hamath, which had belonged to Yaudi, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel?

29. 여로보암이 그 열조 이스라엘 왕들과 함께 자고 그 아들 스가랴가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
  Jeroboam rested with his fathers, the kings of Israel. And Zechariah his son succeeded him as king.

디모데후서 4

1. 하나님 앞과 산 자와 죽은 자를 심판하실 그리스도 예수 앞에서 그의 나타나실 것과 그의 나라를 두고 엄히 명하노니
  In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge:

2. 너는 말씀을 전파하라 때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 힘쓰라 범사에 오래 참음과 가르침으로 경책하며 경계하며 권하라
  Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.

3. 때가 이르리니 사람이 바른 교훈을 받지 아니하며 귀가 가려워서 자기의 사욕을 좇을 스승을 많이 두고
  For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

4. 또 그 귀를 진리에서 돌이켜 허탄한 이야기를 좇으리라
  They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

5. 그러나 너는 모든 일에 근신하여 고난을 받으며 전도인의 일을 하며 네 직무를 다하라
  But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

6. 관제와 같이 벌써 내가 부음이 되고 나의 떠날 기약이 가까왔도다
  For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time has come for my departure.

7. 내가 선한 싸움을 싸우고 나의 달려갈 길을 마치고 믿음을 지켰으니
  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

8. 이제 후로는 나를 위하여 의의 면류관이 예비되었으므로 주 곧 의로우신 재판장이 그 날에 내게 주실 것이니 내게만 아니라 주의 나타나심을 사모하는 모든 자에게니라
  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

9. 너는 어서 속히 내게로 오라
  Do your best to come to me quickly,

10. 데마는 이 세상을 사랑하여 나를 버리고 데살로니가로 갔고 그레스게는 갈라디아로, 디도는 달마디아로 갔고
  for Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.

11. 누가만 나와 함께 있느니라 네가 올 때에 마가를 데리고 오라 저가 나의 일에 유익하니라
  Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry.

12. 두기고는 에베소로 보내었노라
  I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.

13. 네가 올 때에 내가 드로아 가보의 집에 둔 겉옷을 가지고 오고 또 책은 특별히 가죽 종이에 쓴 것을 가져오라
  When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, and my scrolls, especially the parchments.

14. 구리 장색 알렉산더가 내게 해를 많이 보였으매 주께서 그 행한 대로 저에게 갚으시리니
  Alexander the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what he has done.

15. 너도 저를 주의하라 저가 우리 말을 심히 대적하였느니라
  You too should be on your guard against him, because he strongly opposed our message.

16. 내가 처음 변명할 때에 나와 함께 한 자가 하나도 없고 다 나를 버렸으나 저희에게 허물을 돌리지 않기를 원하노라
  At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.

17. 주께서 내 곁에 서서 나를 강건케 하심은 나로 말미암아 전도의 말씀이 온전히 전파되어 이방인으로 듣게 하려 하심이니 내가 사자의 입에서 건지웠느니라
  But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth.

18. 주께서 나를 모든 악한 일에서 건져내시고 또 그의 천국에 들어가도록 구원하시리니 그에게 영광이 세세 무궁토록 있을찌어다 아멘
  The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

19. 브리스가와 아굴라와 및 오네시보로의 집에 문안하라
  Greet Priscilla and Aquila and the household of Onesiphorus.

20. 에라스도는 고린도에 머물렀고 드로비모는 병듦으로 밀레도에 두었노니
  Erastus stayed in Corinth, and I left Trophimus sick in Miletus.

21. 겨울 전에 너는 어서 오라 으불로와 부데와 리노와 글라우디아와 모든 형제가 다 네게 문안하느니라
  Do your best to get here before winter. Eubulus greets you, and so do Pudens, Linus, Claudia and all the brothers.

22. 나는 주께서 네 심령에 함께 계시기를 바라노니 은혜가 너희와 함께 있을찌어다
  The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.

호세아 7

1. 내가 이스라엘을 치료하려 할 때에 에브라임의 죄와 사마리아의 악이 드러나도다 저희는 궤사를 행하며 안으로 들어가 도적질하고 밖으로 떼 지어 노략질하며
  "Whenever I would restore the fortunes of my people, whenever I would heal Israel, the sins of Ephraim are exposed and the crimes of Samaria revealed. They practice deceit, thieves break into houses, bandits rob in the streets;

2. 내가 그 여러 악을 기억하였음을 저희가 마음에 생각지 아니하거니와 이제 그 행위가 저희를 에워싸고 내 목전에 있도다
  but they do not realize that I remember all their evil deeds. Their sins engulf them; they are always before me.

3. 저희가 그 악으로 왕을, 그 거짓말로 방백들을 기쁘게 하도다
  "They delight the king with their wickedness, the princes with their lies.

4. 저희는 다 간음하는 자라 빵 만드는 자에게 달궈진 화덕과 같도다 저가 반죽을 뭉침으로 발교되기까지만 불 일으키기를 그칠 뿐이니라
  They are all adulterers, burning like an oven whose fire the baker need not stir from the kneading of the dough till it rises.

5. 우리 왕의 날에 방백들이 술의 뜨거움을 인하여 병이 나며 왕은 오만한 자들로 더불어 악수하는도다
  On the day of the festival of our king the princes become inflamed with wine, and he joins hands with the mockers.

6. 저희는 엎드리어 기다릴 때에 그 마음을 화덕같이 예비하니 마치 빵 만드는 자가 밤새도록 자고 아침에 피우는 불의 일어나는 것 같도다
  Their hearts are like an oven; they approach him with intrigue. Their passion smolders all night; in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.

7. 저희가 다 화덕같이 뜨거워져서 그 재판장들을 삼키며 그 왕들을 다 엎드러지게 하며 저희 중에는 내게 부르짖는 자가 하나도 없도다
  All of them are hot as an oven; they devour their rulers. All their kings fall, and none of them calls on me.

8. 에브라임이 열방에 혼잡되니 저는 곧 뒤집지 않은 전병이로다
  "Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is a flat cake not turned over.

9. 저는 이방인에게 그 힘이 삼키웠으나 알지 못하고 백발이 얼룩 얼룩할찌라도 깨닫지 못하는도다
  Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice.

10. 이스라엘의 교만은 그 얼굴에 증거가 되나니 저희가 이 모든 일을 당하여도 그 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오지 아니하며 구하지 아니하도다
  Israel's arrogance testifies against him, but despite all this he does not return to the LORD his God or search for him.

11. 에브라임은 어리석은 비둘기같이 지혜가 없어서 애굽을 향하여 부르짖으며 앗수르로 가는도다
  "Ephraim is like a dove, easily deceived and senseless--now calling to Egypt, now turning to Assyria.

12. 저희가 갈 때에 내가 나의 그물을 그 위에 쳐서 공중의 새처럼 떨어뜨리고 전에 그 공회에 들려 준 대로 저희를 징계하리라
  When they go, I will throw my net over them; I will pull them down like birds of the air. When I hear them flocking together, I will catch them.

13. 화 있을찐저 저희가 나를 떠나 그릇 갔음이니라 패망할찐저 저희가 내게 범죄하였음이니라 내가 저희를 구속하려 하나 저희가 나를 거스려 거짓을 말하고
  Woe to them, because they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, because they have rebelled against me! I long to redeem them but they speak lies against me.

14. 성심으로 나를 부르지 아니하였으며 오직 침상에서 슬피 부르짖으며 곡식과 새 포도주를 인하여 모이며 나를 거역하는도다
  They do not cry out to me from their hearts but wail upon their beds. They gather together for grain and new wine but turn away from me.

15. 내가 저희 팔을 연습시켜 강건케 하였으나 저희는 내게 대하여 악을 꾀하는도다
  I trained them and strengthened them, but they plot evil against me.

16. 저희가 돌아오나 높으신 자에게로 돌아오지 아니하니 속이는 활과 같으며 그 방백들은 그 혀의 거친 말로 인하여 칼에 엎드러지리니 이것이 애굽 땅에서 조롱거리가 되리라
  They do not turn to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of their insolent words. For this they will be ridiculed in the land of Egypt.

시편 120-122

1. 내가 환난 중에 여호와께 부르짖었더니 내게 응답하셨도다
  A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.

2. 여호와여 거짓된 입술과 궤사한 혀에서 내 생명을 건지소서
  Save me, O LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.

3. 너 궤사한 혀여 무엇으로 네게 주며 무엇으로 네게 더할꼬
  What will he do to you, and what more besides, O deceitful tongue?

4. 장사의 날카로운 살과 로뎀나무 숯불이리로다
  He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom tree.

5. 메섹에 유하며 게달의 장막 중에 거하는 것이 내게 화로다
  Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!

6. 내가 화평을 미워하는 자와 함께 오래 거하였도다
  Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.

7. 나는 화평을 원할찌라도 내가 말할 때에 저희는 싸우려 하는도다
  I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

1. 내가 산을 향하여 눈을 들리라 나의 도움이 어디서 올꼬
  A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills--where does my help come from?

2. 나의 도움이 천지를 지으신 여호와에게서로다
  My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

3. 여호와께서 너로 실족지 않게 하시며 너를 지키시는 자가 졸지 아니하시리로다
  He will not let your foot slip--he who watches over you will not slumber;

4. 이스라엘을 지키시는 자는 졸지도 아니하고 주무시지도 아니하시리로다
  indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5. 여호와는 너를 지키시는 자라 여호와께서 네 우편에서 네 그늘이 되시나니
  The LORD watches over you--the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6. 낮의 해가 너를 상치 아니하며 밤의 달도 너를 해치 아니하리로다
  the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

7. 여호와께서 너를 지켜 모든 환난을 면케 하시며 또 네 영혼을 지키시리로다
  The LORD will keep you from all harm--he will watch over your life;

8. 여호와께서 너의 출입을 지금부터 영원까지 지키시리로다
  the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

1. 사람이 내게 말하기를 여호와의 집에 올라가자 할 때에 내가 기뻐하였도다
  A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."

2. 예루살렘아 우리 발이 네 성문 안에 섰도다
  Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.

3. 예루살렘아 너는 조밀한 성읍과 같이 건설되었도다
  Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together.

4. 지파들 곧 여호와의 지파들이 여호와의 이름에 감사하려고 이스라엘의 전례대로 그리로 올라가는도다
  That is where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to praise the name of the LORD according to the statute given to Israel.

5. 거기 판단의 보좌를 두셨으니 곧 다윗 집의 보좌로다
  There the thrones for judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David.

6. 예루살렘을 위하여 평안을 구하라 예루살렘을 사랑하는 자는 형통하리로다
  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure.

7. 네 성 안에는 평강이 있고 네 궁중에는 형통이 있을찌어다
  May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels."

8. 내가 내 형제와 붕우를 위하여 이제 말하리니 네 가운데 평강이 있을찌어다
  For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be within you."

9. 여호와 우리 하나님의 집을 위하여 내가 네 복을 구하리로다
  For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.
