열왕기상 2

1. 다윗이 죽을 날이 임박하매 그 아들 솔로몬에게 명하여 가로되
  When the time drew near for David to die, he gave a charge to Solomon his son.

2. 내가 이제 세상 모든 사람의 가는 길로 가게 되었노니 너는 힘써 대장부가 되고
  "I am about to go the way of all the earth," he said. "So be strong, show yourself a man,

3. 네 하나님 여호와의 명을 지켜 그 길로 행하여 그 법률과 계명과 율례와 증거를 모세의 율법에 기록된대로 지키라 그리하면 네가 무릇 무엇을 하든지 어디로 가든지 형통할찌라
  and observe what the LORD your God requires: Walk in his ways, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and requirements, as written in the Law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go,

4. 여호와께서 내 일에 대하여 말씀하시기를 만일 네 자손이 그 길을 삼가 마음을 다하고 성품을 다하여 진실히 내 앞에서 행하면 이스라엘 왕위에 오를 사람이 네게서 끊어지지 아니하리라 하신 말씀을 확실히 이루게 하시리라
  and that the LORD may keep his promise to me: 'If your descendants watch how they live, and if they walk faithfully before me with all their heart and soul, you will never fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.'

5. 스루야의 아들 요압이 내게 행한 일 곧 이스라엘 군대의 두 장관 넬의 아들 아브넬과 예델의 아들 아마사에게 행한 일을 네가 알거니와 저가 저희를 죽여 태평시대에 전쟁의 피를 흘리고 전쟁의 피로 자기의 허리에 띤 띠와 발에 신은 신에 묻혔으니
  "Now you yourself know what Joab son of Zeruiah did to me--what he did to the two commanders of Israel's armies, Abner son of Ner and Amasa son of Jether. He killed them, shedding their blood in peacetime as if in battle, and with that blood stained the belt around his waist and the sandals on his feet.

6. 네 지혜대로 행하여 그 백발로 평안히 음부에 내려가지 못하게 하라
  Deal with him according to your wisdom, but do not let his gray head go down to the grave in peace.

7. 마땅히 길르앗 바실래의 아들들에게 은총을 베풀어 저희로 네 상에서 먹는 자 중에 참예하게 하라 내가 네 형 압살롬의 낯을 피하여 도망할 때에 저희가 내게 나아왔었느니라
  "But show kindness to the sons of Barzillai of Gilead and let them be among those who eat at your table. They stood by me when I fled from your brother Absalom.

8. 바후림 베냐민 사람 게라의 아들 시므이가 너와 함께 있나니 저는 내가 마하나임으로 갈 때에 독한 말로 나를 저주하였느니라 그러나 저가 요단에 내려와서 나를 영접하기로 내가 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하여 이르기를 내가 칼로 너를 죽이지 아니하리라 하였노라
  "And remember, you have with you Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite from Bahurim, who called down bitter curses on me the day I went to Mahanaim. When he came down to meet me at the Jordan, I swore to him by the LORD: 'I will not put you to death by the sword.'

9. 그러나 저를 무죄한 자로 여기지 말찌어다 너는 지혜 있는 사람인즉 저에게 행할 일을 알찌니 그 백발의 피를 흘려 저로 음부에 내려가게 하라
  But now, do not consider him innocent. You are a man of wisdom; you will know what to do to him. Bring his gray head down to the grave in blood."

10. 다윗이 그 열조와 함께 누워 자서 다윗 성에 장사되니
  Then David rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David.

11. 다윗이 이스라엘 왕이 된 지 사십 년이라 헤브론에서 칠 년을 치리하였고 예루살렘에서 삼십삼 년을 치리하였더라
  He had reigned forty years over Israel--seven years in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem.

12. 솔로몬이 그 아비 다윗의 위에 앉으니 그 나라가 심히 견고하니라
  So Solomon sat on the throne of his father David, and his rule was firmly established.

13. 학깃의 아들 아도니야가 솔로몬의 모친 밧세바에게 나아온지라 밧세바가 이르되 네가 화평한 목적으로 왔느뇨 대답하되 화평한 목적이니이다
  Now Adonijah, the son of Haggith, went to Bathsheba, Solomon's mother. Bathsheba asked him, "Do you come peacefully?" He answered, "Yes, peacefully."

14. 또 가로되 내가 말씀할 일이 있나이다 밧세바가 가로되 말하라
  Then he added, "I have something to say to you." "You may say it," she replied.

15. 저가 가로되 당신도 아시는 바여니와 이 왕위는 내 것이었고 온 이스라엘은 다 얼굴을 내게로 향하여 왕을 삼으려 하였는데 그 왕위가 돌이켜 내 아우의 것이 되었음은 여호와께로 말미암음이니이다
  "As you know," he said, "the kingdom was mine. All Israel looked to me as their king. But things changed, and the kingdom has gone to my brother; for it has come to him from the LORD.

16. 이제 내가 한 가지 소원을 당신에게 구하오니 내 얼굴을 괄시하지 마옵소서 밧세바가 가로되 말하라
  Now I have one request to make of you. Do not refuse me." "You may make it," she said.

17. 가로되 청컨대 솔로몬 왕에게 말씀하여 저로 수넴 여자 아비삭을 내게 주어 아내를 삼게 하소서 왕이 당신의 얼굴을 괄시치 아니하리이다
  So he continued, "Please ask King Solomon--he will not refuse you--to give me Abishag the Shunammite as my wife."

18. 밧세바가 가로되 좋다 내가 너를 위하여 왕께 말하리라
  "Very well," Bathsheba replied, "I will speak to the king for you."

19. 밧세바가 이에 아도니야를 위하여 말하려고 솔로몬 왕에게 이르니 왕이 일어나 영접하여 절한 후에 다시 위에 앉고 그 모친을 위하여 자리를 베풀게 하고 그 우편에 앉게 하는지라
  When Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah, the king stood up to meet her, bowed down to her and sat down on his throne. He had a throne brought for the king's mother, and she sat down at his right hand.

20. 밧세바가 이르되 내가 한 가지 작은 일로 왕께 구하오니 내 얼굴을 괄시하지 마소서 왕이 대답하되 내 어머니여 구하시옵소서 내가 어머니의 얼굴을 괄시하지 아니하리이다
  "I have one small request to make of you," she said. "Do not refuse me." The king replied, "Make it, my mother; I will not refuse you."

21. 가로되 청컨대 수넴 여자 아비삭을 아도니야에게 주어 아내를 삼게 하소서
  So she said, "Let Abishag the Shunammite be given in marriage to your brother Adonijah."

22. 솔로몬 왕이 그 모친에게 대답하여 가로되 어찌하여 아도니야를 위하여 수넴 여자 아비삭을 구하시나이까 저는 나의 형이오니 저를 위하여 왕위도 구하옵소서 저뿐 아니라 제사장 아비아달과 스루야의 아들 요압도 위하여 구하옵소서 하고
  King Solomon answered his mother, "Why do you request Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? You might as well request the kingdom for him--after all, he is my older brother--yes, for him and for Abiathar the priest and Joab son of Zeruiah!"

23. 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하여 가로되 아도니야가 이런 말을 하였은즉 그 생명을 잃지 아니하면 하나님은 내게 벌 위에 벌을 내리심이 마땅하니이다
  Then King Solomon swore by the LORD: "May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if Adonijah does not pay with his life for this request!

24. 나를 세워 내 부친 다윗의 위에 오르게 하시고 허락하신 말씀대로 나를 위하여 집을 세우신 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 아도니야는 오늘날 죽임을 당하리라 하고
  And now, as surely as the LORD lives--he who has established me securely on the throne of my father David and has founded a dynasty for me as he promised--Adonijah shall be put to death today!"

25. 여호야다의 아들 브나야를 보내매 저가 아도니야를 쳐서 죽였더라
  So King Solomon gave orders to Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he struck down Adonijah and he died.

26. 왕이 제사장 아비아달에게 이르되 네 고향 아나돗으로 가라 너는 마땅히 죽을 자로되 네가 내 부친 다윗 앞에서 주 여호와의 궤를 메었고 또 내 부친이 모든 환난을 받을 때에 너도 환난을 받았은즉 내가 오늘날 너를 죽이지 아니하노라 하고
  To Abiathar the priest the king said, "Go back to your fields in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but I will not put you to death now, because you carried the ark of the Sovereign LORD before my father David and shared all my father's hardships."

27. 아비아달을 쫓아내어 여호와의 제사장 직분을 파면하니 여호와께서 실로에서 엘리의 집에 대하여 하신 말씀을 응하게 함이더라
  So Solomon removed Abiathar from the priesthood of the LORD, fulfilling the word the LORD had spoken at Shiloh about the house of Eli.

28. 그 소문이 요압에게 들리매 저가 여호와의 장막으로 도망하여 단 뿔을 잡으니 이는 저가 다윗을 떠나 압살롬을 좇지 아니하였으나 아도니야를 좇았음이더라
  When the news reached Joab, who had conspired with Adonijah though not with Absalom, he fled to the tent of the LORD and took hold of the horns of the altar.

29. 혹이 솔로몬 왕에게 고하되 요압이 여호와의 장막으로 도망하여 단 곁에 있나이다 솔로몬이 여호야다의 아들 브나야를 보내며 가로되 너는 가서 저를 치라
  King Solomon was told that Joab had fled to the tent of the LORD and was beside the altar. Then Solomon ordered Benaiah son of Jehoiada, "Go, strike him down!"

30. 브나야가 여호와의 장막에 이르러 저에게 이르되 왕께서 나오라 하시느니라 저가 대답하되 아니라 내가 여기서 죽겠노라 브나야가 돌아가서 왕께 고하여 가로되 요압이 이리이리 내게 대답하더이다
  So Benaiah entered the tent of the LORD and said to Joab, "The king says, 'Come out!'" But he answered, "No, I will die here." Benaiah reported to the king, "This is how Joab answered me."

31. 왕이 이르되 저의 말과 같이 하여 저를 죽여 묻으라 요압이 까닭 없이 흘린 피를 나와 내 부친의 집에서 네가 제하리라
  Then the king commanded Benaiah, "Do as he says. Strike him down and bury him, and so clear me and my father's house of the guilt of the innocent blood that Joab shed.

32. 여호와께서 요압의 피를 그 머리로 돌려 보내실 것은 저가 자기보다 의롭고 선한 두 사람을 쳤음이니 곧 이스라엘 군대 장관 넬의 아들 아브넬과 유다 군대 장관 예델의 아들 아마사를 칼로 죽였음이라 이 일을 내 부친 다윗은 알지 못하셨나니
  The LORD will repay him for the blood he shed, because without the knowledge of my father David he attacked two men and killed them with the sword. Both of them--Abner son of Ner, commander of Israel's army, and Amasa son of Jether, commander of Judah's army--were better men and more upright than he.

33. 저희의 피는 영영히 요압의 머리와 그 자손의 머리로 돌아 갈찌라도 다윗과 그 자손과 그 집과 그 위에는 여호와께로 말미암은 평강이 영원히 있으리라
  May the guilt of their blood rest on the head of Joab and his descendants forever. But on David and his descendants, his house and his throne, may there be the LORD'S peace forever."

34. 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 곧 올라가서 저를 쳐죽이매 저가 거친 땅에 있는 자기의 집에 매장되니라
  So Benaiah son of Jehoiada went up and struck down Joab and killed him, and he was buried on his own land in the desert.

35. 왕이 이에 여호야다의 아들 브나야로 요압을 대신하여 군대 장관을 삼고 또 제사장 사독으로 아비아달을 대신하게 하니라
  The king put Benaiah son of Jehoiada over the army in Joab's position and replaced Abiathar with Zadok the priest.

36. 왕이 보내어 시므이를 불러서 이르되 너는 예루살렘에서 너를 위하여 집을 짓고 거기서 살고 어디든지 나가지 말라
  Then the king sent for Shimei and said to him, "Build yourself a house in Jerusalem and live there, but do not go anywhere else.

37. 너는 분명히 알라 네가 나가서 기드론 시내를 건너는 날에는 정녕 죽임을 당하리니 네 피가 네 머리로 돌아가리라
  The day you leave and cross the Kidron Valley, you can be sure you will die; your blood will be on your own head."

38. 시므이가 왕께 대답하되 이 말씀이 좋사오니 내 주 왕의 말씀대로 종이 그리하겠나이다 하고 이에 날이 오래도록 예루살렘에 머무니라
  Shimei answered the king, "What you say is good. Your servant will do as my lord the king has said." And Shimei stayed in Jerusalem for a long time.

39. 삼 년 후에 시므이의 두 종이 가드 왕 마아가의 아들 아기스에게로 도망하여 간지라 혹이 시므이에게 고하여 가로되 당신의 종이 가드에 있나이다
  But three years later, two of Shimei's slaves ran off to Achish son of Maacah, king of Gath, and Shimei was told, "Your slaves are in Gath."

40. 시므이가 그 종을 찾으려고 일어나 그 나귀에 안장을 지우고 가드로 가서 아기스에게 나아가 그 종을 가드에서 데려왔더니
  At this, he saddled his donkey and went to Achish at Gath in search of his slaves. So Shimei went away and brought the slaves back from Gath.

41. 시므이가 예루살렘에서부터 가드에 갔다가 돌아온 일을 혹이 솔로몬에게 고한지라
  When Solomon was told that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had returned,

42. 왕이 사람을 보내어 시므이를 불러서 이르되 내가 너로 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하게 하고 경계하여 이르기를 너는 분명히 알라 네가 밖으로 나가서 어디든지 가는 날에는 죽임을 당하리라 하지 아니하였느냐 너도 내게 말하기를 내가 들은 말씀이 좋으니이다 하였거늘
  the king summoned Shimei and said to him, "Did I not make you swear by the LORD and warn you, 'On the day you leave to go anywhere else, you can be sure you will die'? At that time you said to me, 'What you say is good. I will obey.'

43. 네가 어찌하여 여호와를 가리켜 한 맹세와 내가 네게 이른 명령을 지키지 아니하였느냐
  Why then did you not keep your oath to the LORD and obey the command I gave you?"

44. 왕이 또 시므이에게 이르되 네가 무릇 네 마음의 아는 모든 악 곧 내 부친에게 행한 바를 네가 스스로 아나니 여호와께서 네 악을 네 머리로 돌려 보내시리라
  The king also said to Shimei, "You know in your heart all the wrong you did to my father David. Now the LORD will repay you for your wrongdoing.

45. 그러나 솔로몬 왕은 복을 받고 다윗의 위는 영원히 여호와 앞에서 견고히 서리라 하고
  But King Solomon will be blessed, and David's throne will remain secure before the LORD forever."

46. 여호야다의 아들 브나야에게 명하매 저가 나가서 시므이를 쳐서 죽게 한지라 이에 나라가 솔로몬의 손에 견고하여지니라
  Then the king gave the order to Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he went out and struck Shimei down and killed him. The kingdom was now firmly established in Solomon's hands.

갈라디아서 6

1. 형제들아 사람이 만일 무슨 범죄한 일이 드러나거든 신령한 너희는 온유한 심령으로 그러한 자를 바로잡고 네 자신을 돌아보아 너도 시험을 받을까 두려워하라
  Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.

2. 너희가 짐을 서로 지라 그리하여 그리스도의 법을 성취하라
  Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

3. 만일 누가 아무것도 되지 못하고 된 줄로 생각하면 스스로 속임이니라
  If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

4. 각각 자기의 일을 살피라 그리하면 자랑할 것이 자기에게만 있고 남에게는 있지 아니하리니
  Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,

5. 각각 자기의 짐을 질 것임이니라
  for each one should carry his own load.

6. 가르침을 받는 자는 말씀을 가르치는 자와 모든 좋은 것을 함께 하라
  Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor.

7. 스스로 속이지 말라 하나님은 만홀히 여김을 받지 아니하시나니 사람이 무엇으로 심든지 그대로 거두리라
  Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

8. 자기의 육체를 위하여 심는 자는 육체로부터 썩어진 것을 거두고 성령을 위하여 심는 자는 성령으로부터 영생을 거두리라
  The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

9. 우리가 선을 행하되 낙심하지 말찌니 피곤하지 아니하면 때가 이르매 거두리라
  Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

10. 그러므로 우리는 기회 있는대로 모든 이에게 착한 일을 하되 더욱 믿음의 가정들에게 할찌니라
  Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

11. 내 손으로 너희에게 이렇게 큰 글자로 쓴 것을 보라
  See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand!

12. 무릇 육체의 모양을 내려 하는 자들이 억지로 너희로 할례받게 함은 저희가 그리스도의 십자가를 인하여 핍박을 면하려 함뿐이라
  Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.

13. 할례받은 저희라도 스스로 율법은 지키지 아니하고 너희로 할례받게 하려 하는 것은 너희의 육체로 자랑하려 함이니라
  Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh.

14. 그러나 내게는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 십자가 외에 결코 자랑할 것이 없으니 그리스도로 말미암아 세상이 나를 대하여 십자가에 못 박히고 내가 또한 세상을 대하여 그러하니라
  May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

15. 할례나 무할례가 아무것도 아니로되 오직 새로 지으심을 받은 자뿐이니라
  Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation.

16. 무릇 이 규례를 행하는 자에게와 하나님의 이스라엘에게 평강과 긍휼이 있을찌어다
  Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God.

17. 이 후로는 누구든지 나를 괴롭게 말라 내가 내 몸에 예수의 흔적을 가졌노라
  Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.

18. 형제들아 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 너희 심령에 있을찌어다 아멘
  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.

■ 혼자 읽기

에스겔 33

1. 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
  The word of the LORD came to me:

2. 인자야 너는 네 민족에게 고하여 이르라 가령 내가 칼을 한 땅에 임하게 한다 하자 그 땅 백성이 자기 중에 하나를 택하여 파숫군을 삼은
  "Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: 'When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman,

3. 그 사람이 칼이 그 땅에 임함을 보고 나팔을 불어 백성에게 경고하되
  and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people,

4. 나팔 소리를 듣고도 경비를 하지 아니하므로 그 임하는 칼에 제함을 당하면 그 피가 자기의 머리로 돌아갈 것이라
  then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head.

5. 그가 경비를 하였던들 자기 생명을 보전하였을 것이나 나팔 소리를 듣고도 경비를 하지 아니하였으니 그 피가 자기에게로 돌아가리라
  Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself.

6. 그러나 파숫군이 칼이 임함을 보고도 나팔을 불지 아니하여 백성에게 경고치 아니하므로 그 중에 한 사람이 그 임하는 칼에 제함을 당하면 그는 자기 죄악 중에서 제한바 되려니와 그 죄를 내가 파숫군의 손에서 찾으리라
  But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.'

7. 인자야 내가 너로 이스라엘 족속의 파숫군을 삼음이 이와 같으니라 그런즉 너는 내 입의 말을 듣고 나를 대신하여 그들에게 경고할찌어다
  "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.

8. 가령 내가 악인에게 이르기를 악인아 너는 정녕 죽으리라 하였다 하자 네가 그 악인에게 말로 경고하여 그 길에서 떠나게 아니하면 그 악인은 자기 죄악 중에서 죽으려니와 내가 그 피를 네 손에서 찾으리라
  When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.

9. 그러나 너는 악인에게 경고하여 돌이켜 그 길에서 떠나라고 하되 그가 돌이켜 그 길에서 떠나지 아니하면 그는 자기 죄악 중에서 죽으려니와 너는 네 생명을 보전하리라
  But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself.

10. 그런즉 인자야 너는 이스라엘 족속에게 이르기를 너희가 말하여 이르되 우리의 허물과 죄가 이미 우리에게 있어 우리로 그 중에서 쇠패하게 하니 어찌 능히 살리요 하거니와
  "Son of man, say to the house of Israel, 'This is what you are saying: "Our offenses and sins weigh us down, and we are wasting away because of them. How then can we live?" '

11. 주 여호와의 말씀에 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하노니 나는 악인의 죽는 것을 기뻐하지 아니하고 악인이 그 길에서 돌이켜 떠나서 사는 것을 기뻐하노라 이스라엘 족속아 돌이키고 돌이키라 너희 악한 길에서 떠나라 어찌 죽고자 하느냐 하셨다 하라
  Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?'

12. 인자야 너는 네 민족에게 이르기를 의인이 범죄하는 날에는 그 의가 구원치 못할 것이요 악인이 돌이켜 그 악에서 떠나는 날에는 그 악이 그를 엎드러뜨리지 못할 것인즉 의인이 범죄하는 날에는 그 의로 인하여는 살지 못하리라
  "Therefore, son of man, say to your countrymen, 'The righteousness of the righteous man will not save him when he disobeys, and the wickedness of the wicked man will not cause him to fall when he turns from it. The righteous man, if he sins, will not be allowed to live because of his former righteousness.'

13. 가령 내가 의인에게 말하기를 너는 살리라 하였다 하자 그가 그 의를 스스로 믿고 죄악을 행하면 그 모든 의로운 행위가 하나도 기억되지 아니하리니 그가 그 지은 죄악 중 곧 그 중에서 죽으리라
  If I tell the righteous man that he will surely live, but then he trusts in his righteousness and does evil, none of the righteous things he has done will be remembered; he will die for the evil he has done.

14. 가령 내가 악인에게 말하기를 너는 죽으리라 하였다 하자 그가 돌이켜 자기의 죄에서 떠나서 법과 의대로 행하여
  And if I say to the wicked man, 'You will surely die,' but he then turns away from his sin and does what is just and right--

15. 전당물을 도로 주며 억탈물을 돌려 보내고 생명의 율례를 준행하여 다시는 죄악을 짓지 아니하면 그가 정녕 살고 죽지 않을찌라
  if he gives back what he took in pledge for a loan, returns what he has stolen, follows the decrees that give life, and does no evil, he will surely live; he will not die.

16. 그의 본래 범한 모든 죄가 기억되지 아니하리니 그가 정녕 살리라 이는 법과 의를 행하였음이니라 하라
  None of the sins he has committed will be remembered against him. He has done what is just and right; he will surely live.

17. 그래도 네 민족은 말하기를 주의 길이 공평치 않다 하는도다 그러나 실상은 그들의 길이 공평치 아니하니라
  "Yet your countrymen say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' But it is their way that is not just.

18. 만일 의인이 돌이켜 그 의에서 떠나 죄악을 지으면 그가 그 가운데서 죽을 것이고
  If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and does evil, he will die for it.

19. 만일 악인이 돌이켜 그 악에서 떠나 법과 의대로 행하면 그가 그로 인하여 살리라
  And if a wicked man turns away from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he will live by doing so.

20. 그러나 너희가 이르기를 주의 길이 공평치 않다 하는도다 이스라엘 족속아 내가 너희의 각기 행한 대로 심판하리라 하시니라
  Yet, O house of Israel, you say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' But I will judge each of you according to his own ways."

21. 우리가 사로잡힌 지 십이 년 시월 오일에 예루살렘에서부터 도망하여 온 자가 내게 나아와 말하기를 그 성이 함락되었다 하였는데
  In the twelfth year of our exile, in the tenth month on the fifth day, a man who had escaped from Jerusalem came to me and said, "The city has fallen!"

22. 그 도망한 자가 내게 나아오기 전날 저녁에 여호와의 손이 내게 임하여 내 입을 여시더니 다음 아침 그 사람이 내게 나아올 임시에 내 입이 열리기로 내가 다시는 잠잠하지 아니하였노라
  Now the evening before the man arrived, the hand of the LORD was upon me, and he opened my mouth before the man came to me in the morning. So my mouth was opened and I was no longer silent.

23. 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
  Then the word of the LORD came to me:

24. 인자야 이 이스라엘 황무한 땅에 거한 자들이 말하여 이르기를 아브라함은 오직 한 사람이라도 이 땅을 기업으로 얻었나니 우리가 중다한즉 더욱 이 땅으로 우리에게 기업으로 주신 것이 되느니라 하는도다
  "Son of man, the people living in those ruins in the land of Israel are saying, 'Abraham was only one man, yet he possessed the land. But we are many; surely the land has been given to us as our possession.'

25. 그러므로 너는 그들에게 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 너희가 피 있는 고기를 먹으며 너희 우상들에게 눈을 들며 피를 흘리니 그 땅이 너희의 기업이 될까 보냐
  Therefore say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Since you eat meat with the blood still in it and look to your idols and shed blood, should you then possess the land?

26. 너희가 칼을 믿어 가증한 일을 행하며 각기 이웃의 아내를 더럽히니 그 땅이 너희의 기업이 될까 보냐 하고
  You rely on your sword, you do detestable things, and each of you defiles his neighbor's wife. Should you then possess the land?'

27. 너는 그들에게 또 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하노니 황무지에 있는 자는 칼에 엎드러뜨리고 들에 있는 자는 들짐승에게 붙여 먹게 하고 산성과 굴에 있는 자는 온역에 죽게 하리라
  "Say this to them: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: As surely as I live, those who are left in the ruins will fall by the sword, those out in the country I will give to the wild animals to be devoured, and those in strongholds and caves will die of a plague.

28. 내가 그 땅으로 황무지와 놀라움이 되게 하고 그 권능의 교만을 그치게 하리니 이스라엘의 산들이 황무하여 지나갈 사람이 없으리라
  I will make the land a desolate waste, and her proud strength will come to an end, and the mountains of Israel will become desolate so that no one will cross them.

29. 내가 그들의 행한 모든 가증한 일로 인하여 그 땅으로 황무지와 놀라움이 되게 하면 그 때에 그들이 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라 하라
  Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have made the land a desolate waste because of all the detestable things they have done.'

30. 인자야 네 민족이 담 곁에서와 집 문에서 너를 의논하며 각각 그 형제로 더불어 말하여 이르기를 자, 가서 여호와께로부터 무슨 말씀이 나오는가 들어보자 하고
  "As for you, son of man, your countrymen are talking together about you by the walls and at the doors of the houses, saying to each other, 'Come and hear the message that has come from the LORD.'

31. 백성이 모이는 것같이 네게 나아오며 내 백성처럼 네 앞에 앉아서 네 말을 들으나 그대로 행치 아니하니 이는 그 입으로는 사랑을 나타내어도 마음은 이욕을 좇음이라
  My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain.

32. 그들이 너를 음악을 잘하며 고운 음성으로 사랑의 노래를 하는 자같이 여겼나니 네 말을 듣고도 준행치 아니하거니와
  Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice.

33. 그 말이 응하리니 응할 때에는 그들이 한 선지자가 자기 가운데 있었던 줄을 알리라
  "When all this comes true--and it surely will--then they will know that a prophet has been among them."

시편 81-82

1. 우리 능력 되신 하나님께 높이 노래하며 야곱의 하나님께 즐거이 소리할찌어다
  For the director of music. According to gittith. Of Asaph. Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob!

2. 시를 읊으며 소고를 치고 아름다운 수금에 비파를 아우를찌어다
  Begin the music, strike the tambourine, play the melodious harp and lyre.

3. 월삭과 월망과 우리의 절일에 나팔을 불찌어다
  Sound the ram's horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our Feast;

4. 이는 이스라엘의 율례요 야곱의 하나님의 규례로다
  this is a decree for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.

5. 하나님이 애굽 땅을 치러 나가시던 때에 요셉의 족속 중에 이를 증거로 세우셨도다 거기서 내가 알지 못하던 말씀을 들었나니
  He established it as a statute for Joseph when he went out against Egypt, where we heard a language we did not understand.

6. 이르시되 내가 그 어깨에서 짐을 벗기고 그 손에서 광주리를 놓게 하였도다
  He says, "I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket.

7. 네가 고난 중에 부르짖으매 내가 너를 건졌고 뇌성의 은은한 곳에서 네게 응답하며 므리바 물가에서 너를 시험하였도다 (셀라)
  In your distress you called and I rescued you, I answered you out of a thundercloud; I tested you at the waters of Meribah. Selah

8. 내 백성이여 들으라 내가 네게 증거하리라 이스라엘이여 내게 듣기를 원하노라
  "Hear, O my people, and I will warn you--if you would but listen to me, O Israel!

9. 너희 중에 다른 신을 두지 말며 이방신에게 절하지 말찌어다
  You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not bow down to an alien god.

10. 나는 너를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낸 여호와 네 하나님이니 네 입을 넓게 열라 내가 채우리라 하였으나
  I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.

11. 내 백성이 내 소리를 듣지 아니하며 이스라엘이 나를 원치 아니하였도다
  "But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.

12. 그러므로 내가 그 마음의 강퍅한대로 버려두어 그 임의대로 행케하였도다
  So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

13. 내 백성이 나를 청종하며 이스라엘이 내 도 행하기를 원하노라
  "If my people would but listen to me, if Israel would follow my ways,

14. 그리하면 내가 속히 저희 원수를 제어하며 내 손을 돌려 저희 대적을 치리니
  how quickly would I subdue their enemies and turn my hand against their foes!

15. 여호와를 한하는 자는 저에게 복종하는체 할찌라도 저희 시대는 영원히 계속하리라
  Those who hate the LORD would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.

16. 내가 또 밀의 아름다운 것으로 저희에게 먹이며 반석에서 나오는 꿀로 너를 만족케 하리라 하셨도다
  But you would be fed with the finest of wheat; with honey from the rock I would satisfy you."

1. 하나님이 하나님의 회 가운데 서시며 재판장들 중에서 판단하시되
  A psalm of Asaph. God presides in the great assembly; he gives judgment among the "gods":

2. 너희가 불공평한 판단을 하며 악인의 낯 보기를 언제까지 하려느냐 (셀라)
  "How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Selah

3. 가난한 자와 고아를 위하여 판단하며 곤란한 자와 빈궁한 자에게 공의를 베풀찌며
  Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.

4. 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자를 구원하여 악인들의 손에서 건질찌니라 하시는도다
  Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

5. 저희는 무지무각하여 흑암 중에 왕래하니 땅의 모든 터가 흔들리도다
  "They know nothing, they understand nothing. They walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6. 내가 말하기를 너희는 신들이며 다 지존자의 아들들이라 하였으나
  "I said, 'You are "gods"; you are all sons of the Most High.'

7. 너희는 범인같이 죽으며 방백의 하나같이 엎더지리로다
  But you will die like mere men; you will fall like every other ruler."

8. 하나님이여 일어나사 세상을 판단하소서 모든 열방이 주의 기업이 되겠음이니이다
  Rise up, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are your inheritance.
