열왕기상 1

1. 다윗 왕이 나이 많아 늙으니 이불을 덮어도 따뜻하지 아니한지라
  When King David was old and well advanced in years, he could not keep warm even when they put covers over him.

2. 그 신복들이 왕께 고하되 우리 주 왕을 위하여 젊은 처녀 하나를 구하여 저로 왕을 모셔 봉양하고 왕의 품에 누워 우리 주 왕으로 따뜻하시게 하리이다 하고
  So his servants said to him, "Let us look for a young virgin to attend the king and take care of him. She can lie beside him so that our lord the king may keep warm."

3. 이스라엘 사방 경내에 아리따운 동녀를 구하다가 수넴 여자 아비삭을 얻어 왕께 데려왔으니
  Then they searched throughout Israel for a beautiful girl and found Abishag, a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.

4. 이 동녀는 심히 아리따운 자라 저가 왕을 봉양하며 수종하였으나 왕이 더불어 동침하지 아니하였더라
  The girl was very beautiful; she took care of the king and waited on him, but the king had no intimate relations with her.

5. 때에 학깃의 아들 아도니야가 스스로 높여서 이르기를 내가 왕이 되리라 하고 자기를 위하여 병거와 기병과 전배 오십 인을 예비하니
  Now Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith, put himself forward and said, "I will be king." So he got chariots and horses ready, with fifty men to run ahead of him.

6. 저는 압살롬의 다음에 난 자요 체용이 심히 준수한 자라 그 부친이 네가 어찌하여 그리하였느냐 하는 말로 한번도 저를 섭섭하게 한 일이 없었더라
  (His father had never interfered with him by asking, "Why do you behave as you do?" He was also very handsome and was born next after Absalom.)

7. 아도니야가 스루야의 아들 요압과 제사장 아비아달과 모의하니 저희가 좇아 도우나
  Adonijah conferred with Joab son of Zeruiah and with Abiathar the priest, and they gave him their support.

8. 제사장 사독과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 선지자 나단과 시므이와 레이와 다윗에게 속한 용사들은 아도니야와 같이 하지 아니하였더라
  But Zadok the priest, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei and Rei and David's special guard did not join Adonijah.

9. 아도니야가 에느로겔 근방 소헬렛 돌 곁에서 양과 소와 살찐 송아지를 잡고 왕자 곧 자기의 모든 동생과 왕의 신복 유다 모든 사람을 다 청하였으나
  Adonijah then sacrificed sheep, cattle and fattened calves at the Stone of Zoheleth near En Rogel. He invited all his brothers, the king's sons, and all the men of Judah who were royal officials,

10. 선지자 나단과 브나야와 용사들과 자기 동생 솔로몬은 청하지 아니하였더라
  but he did not invite Nathan the prophet or Benaiah or the special guard or his brother Solomon.

11. 나단이 솔로몬의 모친 밧세바에게 고하여 가로되 학깃의 아들 아도니야가 왕이 됨을 듣지 못하였나이까 우리 주 다윗은 알지 못하시나이다
  Then Nathan asked Bathsheba, Solomon's mother, "Have you not heard that Adonijah, the son of Haggith, has become king without our lord David's knowing it?

12. 이제 나로 당신의 생명과 당신의 아들 솔로몬의 생명 구원할 계교 베풀기를 허락하소서
  Now then, let me advise you how you can save your own life and the life of your son Solomon.

13. 당신은 다윗 왕 앞에 들어가서 고하기를 내 주 왕이여 전에 왕이 계집종에게 맹세하여 이르시기를 네 아들 솔로몬이 정녕 나를 이어 왕이 되어 내 위에 앉으리라 하지 아니하셨나이까 그런데 아도니야가 무슨 연고로 왕이 되었나이까 하소서
  Go in to King David and say to him, 'My lord the king, did you not swear to me your servant: "Surely Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne"? Why then has Adonijah become king?'

14. 당신이 거기서 왕과 말씀할 때에 나도 이어 들어가서 당신의 말씀을 증거하리이다
  While you are still there talking to the king, I will come in and confirm what you have said."

15. 밧세바가 이에 침실에 들어가 왕에게 이르니 왕이 심히 늙었으므로 수넴 여자 아비삭이 시종하였더라
  So Bathsheba went to see the aged king in his room, where Abishag the Shunammite was attending him.

16. 밧세바가 몸을 굽혀 왕께 절하니 왕이 이르되 어찜이냐
  Bathsheba bowed low and knelt before the king. "What is it you want?" the king asked.

17. 저가 왕께 대답하되 내 주여 왕이 전에 왕의 하나님 여호와를 가리켜 계집종에게 맹세하시기를 네 아들 솔로몬이 정녕 나를 이어 왕이 되어 내 위에 앉으리라 하셨거늘
  She said to him, "My lord, you yourself swore to me your servant by the LORD your God: 'Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne.'

18. 이제 아도니야가 왕이 되었어도 내 주 왕은 알지 못하시나이다
  But now Adonijah has become king, and you, my lord the king, do not know about it.

19. 저가 수소와 살찐 송아지와 양을 많이 잡고 왕의 모든 아들과 제사장 아비아달과 군대장관 요압을 청하였으나 왕의 종 솔로몬은 청치 아니하였나이다
  He has sacrificed great numbers of cattle, fattened calves, and sheep, and has invited all the king's sons, Abiathar the priest and Joab the commander of the army, but he has not invited Solomon your servant.

20. 내 주 왕이여 온 이스라엘이 왕에게 다 주목하고 누가 내 주 왕을 이어 그 위에 앉을 것을 반포하시기를 기다리나이다
  My lord the king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, to learn from you who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him.

21. 그렇지 아니하면 내 주 왕께서 그 열조와 함께 잘 때에 나와 내 아들 솔로몬은 죄인이 되리이다
  Otherwise, as soon as my lord the king is laid to rest with his fathers, I and my son Solomon will be treated as criminals."

22. 밧세바가 왕과 말씀할 때에 선지자 나단이 들어온지라
  While she was still speaking with the king, Nathan the prophet arrived.

23. 혹이 왕께 고하여 가로되 선지자 나단이 여기 있나이다 하니 저가 왕 앞에 들어와서 얼굴을 땅에 대어 왕께 절하고
  And they told the king, "Nathan the prophet is here." So he went before the king and bowed with his face to the ground.

24. 가로되 내 주 왕께서 이르시기를 아도니야가 나를 이어 왕이 되어 내 위에 앉으리라 하셨나이까
  Nathan said, "Have you, my lord the king, declared that Adonijah shall be king after you, and that he will sit on your throne?

25. 저가 오늘 내려가서 수소와 살찐 송아지와 양을 많이 잡고 왕의 모든 아들과 군대장관들과 제사장 아비아달을 청하였는데 저희가 아도니야 앞에서 먹고 마시며 아도니야왕 만세를 불렀나이다
  Today he has gone down and sacrificed great numbers of cattle, fattened calves, and sheep. He has invited all the king's sons, the commanders of the army and Abiathar the priest. Right now they are eating and drinking with him and saying, 'Long live King Adonijah!'

26. 그러나 왕의 종 나와 제사장 사독과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 왕의 종 솔로몬은 청치 아니하였사오니
  But me your servant, and Zadok the priest, and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and your servant Solomon he did not invite.

27. 이것이 내 주 왕의 하신 일이니이까 그런데 왕께서 내 주 왕을 이어 그 위에 앉을 자를 종에게 알게 하지 아니하셨나이다
  Is this something my lord the king has done without letting his servants know who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?"

28. 다윗 왕이 명하여 가로되 밧세바를 내 앞으로 부르라 하매 저가 왕의 앞으로 들어와 그 앞에 서는지라
  Then King David said, "Call in Bathsheba." So she came into the king's presence and stood before him.

29. 왕이 가로되 내 생명을 모든 환난에서 구원하신 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노라
  The king then took an oath: "As surely as the LORD lives, who has delivered me out of every trouble,

30. 내가 이전에 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 가리켜 네게 맹세하여 이르기를 네 아들 솔로몬이 정녕 나를 이어 왕이 되고 나를 대신하여 내 위에 앉으리라 하였으니 내가 오늘날 그대로 행하리라
  I will surely carry out today what I swore to you by the LORD, the God of Israel: Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he will sit on my throne in my place."

31. 밧세바가 얼굴을 땅에 대어 절하며 내 주 다윗 왕은 만세수를 하옵소서 하니라
  Then Bathsheba bowed low with her face to the ground and, kneeling before the king, said, "May my lord King David live forever!"

32. 다윗 왕이 가로되 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야를 내 앞으로 부르라 하니 저희가 왕 앞에 이른지라
  King David said, "Call in Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet and Benaiah son of Jehoiada." When they came before the king,

33. 왕이 저희에게 이르되 너희는 너희 주의 신복들을 데리고 내 아들 솔로몬을 나의 노새에 태우고 기혼으로 인도하여 내려가고
  he said to them: "Take your lord's servants with you and set Solomon my son on my own mule and take him down to Gihon.

34. 거기서 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단은 저에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 왕을 삼고 너희는 양각을 불며 솔로몬 왕 만세를 부르고
  There have Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king over Israel. Blow the trumpet and shout, 'Long live King Solomon!'

35. 저를 따라 올라오라 저가 와서 내 위에 앉아 나를 대신하여 왕이 되리라 내가 저를 세워 이스라엘과 유다의 주권자가 되게 하기로 작정하였느니라
  Then you are to go up with him, and he is to come and sit on my throne and reign in my place. I have appointed him ruler over Israel and Judah."

36. 여호야다의 아들 브나야가 왕께 대답하여 가로되 아멘 내 주 왕의 하나님 여호와께서도 이렇게 말씀하시기를 원하오며
  Benaiah son of Jehoiada answered the king, "Amen! May the LORD, the God of my lord the king, so declare it.

37. 또 여호와께서 내 주 왕과 함께 계심같이 솔로몬과 함께 계셔서 그 위를 내 주 다윗 왕의 위보다 더 크게 하시기를 원하나이다 하니라
  As the LORD was with my lord the king, so may he be with Solomon to make his throne even greater than the throne of my lord King David!"

38. 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 그렛 사람과 블렛 사람이 내려가서 솔로몬을 다윗 왕의 노새에 태우고 인도하여 기혼으로 가서
  So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, the Kerethites and the Pelethites went down and put Solomon on King David's mule and escorted him to Gihon.

39. 제사장 사독이 성막 가운데서 기름 뿔을 가져다가 솔로몬에게 기름을 부으니 이에 양각을 불고 모든 백성이 솔로몬 왕 만세를 부르니라
  Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the sacred tent and anointed Solomon. Then they sounded the trumpet and all the people shouted, "Long live King Solomon!"

40. 모든 백성이 왕을 따라 올라와서 피리를 불며 크게 즐거워하므로 땅이 저희 소리로 인하여 갈라질 듯하니
  And all the people went up after him, playing flutes and rejoicing greatly, so that the ground shook with the sound.

41. 아도니야와 저와 함께한 손들이 먹기를 마칠 때에 다 들은지라 요압이 양각 소리를 듣고 가로되 성중에서 소리가 어찌하여 요란하뇨
  Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they were finishing their feast. On hearing the sound of the trumpet, Joab asked, "What's the meaning of all the noise in the city?"

42. 말할 때에 제사장 아비아달의 아들 요나단이 오는지라 아도니야가 가로되 들어오라 너는 용사라 아름다운 소식을 가져오는도다
  Even as he was speaking, Jonathan son of Abiathar the priest arrived. Adonijah said, "Come in. A worthy man like you must be bringing good news."

43. 요나단이 아도니야에게 대답하여 가로되 과연 우리 주 다윗 왕이 솔로몬으로 왕을 삼으셨나이다
  "Not at all!" Jonathan answered. "Our lord King David has made Solomon king.

44. 왕께서 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단과 여호야다의 아들 브나야와 그렛 사람과 블렛 사람을 솔로몬과 함께 보내셨는데 저희 무리가 왕의 노새에 솔로몬을 태워다가
  The king has sent with him Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, the Kerethites and the Pelethites, and they have put him on the king's mule,

45. 제사장 사독과 선지자 나단이 기혼에서 기름을 부어 왕을 삼고 무리가 그 곳에서 올라오며 즐거워하므로 성중이 진동하였나니 당신들에게 들린 소리가 이것이라
  and Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king at Gihon. From there they have gone up cheering, and the city resounds with it. That's the noise you hear.

46. 솔로몬이 나라 위에 앉았고
  Moreover, Solomon has taken his seat on the royal throne.

47. 또 왕의 신복들이 와서 우리 주 다윗 왕에게 축복하여 이르기를 왕의 하나님이 솔로몬의 이름을 왕의 이름보다 아름답게 하시고 그 위를 왕의 위보다 크게 하시기를 원하나이다 하매 왕이 침상에서 몸을 굽히고
  Also, the royal officials have come to congratulate our lord King David, saying, 'May your God make Solomon's name more famous than yours and his throne greater than yours!' And the king bowed in worship on his bed

48. 이르시기를 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와를 찬송하리로다 여호와께서 오늘날 내 위에 앉을 자를 주사 나로 목도하게 하셨도다 하셨나이다 하니
  and said, 'Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who has allowed my eyes to see a successor on my throne today.'"

49. 아도니야와 함께한 손들이 다 놀라 일어나 각기 갈 길로 간지라
  At this, all Adonijah's guests rose in alarm and dispersed.

50. 아도니야도 솔로몬을 두려워하여 일어나 가서 제단 뿔을 잡으니
  But Adonijah, in fear of Solomon, went and took hold of the horns of the altar.

51. 혹이 솔로몬에게 고하여 가로되 아도니야가 솔로몬 왕을 두려워하여 지금 제단 뿔을 잡고 말하기를 솔로몬 왕이 오늘날 칼로 자기 종을 죽이지 않겠다고 내게 맹세하기를 원한다 하나이다
  Then Solomon was told, "Adonijah is afraid of King Solomon and is clinging to the horns of the altar. He says, 'Let King Solomon swear to me today that he will not put his servant to death with the sword.'"

52. 솔로몬이 가로되 저가 만일 선한 사람이 될찐대 그 머리카락 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하려니와 저의 가운데 악한 것이 보이면 죽으리라 하고
  Solomon replied, "If he shows himself to be a worthy man, not a hair of his head will fall to the ground; but if evil is found in him, he will die."

53. 사람을 보내어 저를 제단에서 이끌어 내리니 저가 와서 솔로몬 왕께 절하매 솔로몬이 이르기를 네 집으로 가라 하였더라
  Then King Solomon sent men, and they brought him down from the altar. And Adonijah came and bowed down to King Solomon, and Solomon said, "Go to your home."

갈라디아서 5

1. 그리스도께서 우리로 자유케 하려고 자유를 주셨으니 그러므로 굳세게 서서 다시는 종의 멍에를 메지 말라
  It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

2. 보라 나 바울은 너희에게 말하노니 너희가 만일 할례를 받으면 그리스도께서 너희에게 아무 유익이 없으리라
  Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.

3. 내가 할례를 받는 각 사람에게 다시 증거하노니 그는 율법 전체를 행할 의무를 가진 자라
  Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.

4. 율법 안에서 의롭다 함을 얻으려 하는 너희는 그리스도에게서 끊어지고 은혜에서 떨어진 자로다
  You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

5. 우리가 성령으로 믿음을 좇아 의의 소망을 기다리노니
  But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.

6. 그리스도 예수 안에서는 할례나 무할례가 효력이 없되 사랑으로써 역사하는 믿음뿐이니라
  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

7. 너희가 달음질을 잘하더니 누가 너희를 막아 진리를 순종치 않게 하더냐
  You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth?

8. 그 권면이 너희를 부르신 이에게서 난 것이 아니라
  That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.

9. 적은 누룩이 온 덩이에 퍼지느니라
  "A little yeast works through the whole batch of dough."

10. 나는 너희가 아무 다른 마음도 품지 아니할 줄을 주 안에서 확신하노라 그러나 너희를 요동케 하는 자는 누구든지 심판을 받으리라
  I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be.

11. 형제들아 내가 지금까지 할례를 전하면 어찌하여 지금까지 핍박을 받으리요 그리하였으면 십자가의 거치는 것이 그쳤으리니
  Brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been abolished.

12. 너희를 어지럽게 하는 자들이 스스로 베어 버리기를 원하노라
  As for those agitators, I wish they would go the whole way and emasculate themselves!

13. 형제들아 너희가 자유를 위하여 부르심을 입었으나 그러나 그 자유로 육체의 기회를 삼지 말고 오직 사랑으로 서로 종 노릇하라
  You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.

14. 온 율법은 네 이웃 사랑하기를 네 몸같이 하라 하신 한 말씀에 이루었나니
  The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

15. 만일 서로 물고 먹으면 피차 멸망할까 조심하라
  If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

16. 내가 이르노니 너희는 성령을 좇아 행하라 그리하면 육체의 욕심을 이루지 아니하리라
  So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

17. 육체의 소욕은 성령을 거스리고 성령의 소욕은 육체를 거스리나니 이 둘이 서로 대적함으로 너희의 원하는 것을 하지 못하게 하려 함이니라
  For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want.

18. 너희가 만일 성령의 인도하시는 바가 되면 율법 아래 있지 아니하리라
  But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

19. 육체의 일은 현저하니 곧 음행과 더러운 것과 호색과
  The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;

20. 우상 숭배와 술수와 원수를 맺는 것과 분쟁과 시기와 분냄과 당짓는 것과 분리함과 이단과
  idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions

21. 투기와 술 취함과 방탕함과 또 그와 같은 것들이라 전에 너희에게 경계한 것같이 경계하노니 이런 일을 하는 자들은 하나님의 나라를 유업으로 받지 못할 것이요
  and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22. 오직 성령의 열매는 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과
  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

23. 온유와 절제니 이같은 것을 금지할 법이 없느니라
  gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

24. 그리스도 예수의 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정과 욕심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라
  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

25. 만일 우리가 성령으로 살면 또한 성령으로 행할찌니
  Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

26. 헛된 영광을 구하여 서로 격동하고 서로 투기하지 말찌니라
  Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

에스겔 32

1. 제 십이 년 십이월 초일일에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
  In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month on the first day, the word of the LORD came to me:

2. 인자야 너는 애굽 왕 바로에 대하여 애가를 불러 그에게 이르라 너를 열국에서 젊은 사자에 비하였더니 실상은 바다 가운데 큰 악어라 강에서 뛰어 일어나 발로 물을 요동하여 그 강을 더럽혔도다
  "Son of man, take up a lament concerning Pharaoh king of Egypt and say to him: "'You are like a lion among the nations; you are like a monster in the seas thrashing about in your streams, churning the water with your feet and muddying the streams.

3. 나 주 여호와의 말이여 내가 많은 백성의 무리를 거느리고 내 그물을 네 위에 치고 그 그물로 너를 끌어오리로다
  "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "'With a great throng of people I will cast my net over you, and they will haul you up in my net.

4. 내가 너를 뭍에 버리며 들에 던져 공중의 새들로 네 위에 앉게 할 것임이여 온 땅의 짐승으로 너를 먹어 배부르게 하리로다
  I will throw you on the land and hurl you on the open field. I will let all the birds of the air settle on you and all the beasts of the earth gorge themselves on you.

5. 내가 네 고기를 여러 산에 두며 네 시체를 여러 골짜기에 채울 것임이여
  I will spread your flesh on the mountains and fill the valleys with your remains.

6. 네 피로 네 헤엄치는 땅에 물대듯 하여 산에 미치게 하며 그 모든 개천에 채우리로다
  I will drench the land with your flowing blood all the way to the mountains, and the ravines will be filled with your flesh.

7. 내가 너를 불끄듯 할 때에 하늘을 가리워 별로 어둡게 하며 해를 구름으로 가리우며 달로 빛을 발하지 못하게 할 것임이여
  When I snuff you out, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.

8. 하늘의 모든 밝은 빛을 내가 네 위에서 어둡게 하여 어두움을 네 땅에 베풀리로다 나 주 여호와의 말이로다
  All the shining lights in the heavens I will darken over you; I will bring darkness over your land, declares the Sovereign LORD.

9. 내가 네 패망의 소문으로 열국 곧 너의 알지 못하는 열방에 이르게 할 때에 많은 백성의 마음을 번뇌케 할 것임이여
  I will trouble the hearts of many peoples when I bring about your destruction among the nations, among lands you have not known.

10. 내가 그 많은 백성으로 너를 인하여 놀라게 할 것이며 내가 내 칼로 그들의 왕 앞에서 춤추게 할 때에 그 왕이 너를 인하여 심히 두려워할 것이며 네가 엎드러지는 날에 그들이 각각 자기 생명을 위하여 무시로 떨리로다
  I will cause many peoples to be appalled at you, and their kings will shudder with horror because of you when I brandish my sword before them. On the day of your downfall each of them will tremble every moment for his life.

11. 나 주 여호와가 말함이여 바벨론 왕의 칼이 네게 임하리로다
  "'For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "'The sword of the king of Babylon will come against you.

12. 내가 네 무리로 용사 곧 열국의 무서운 자들의 칼에 엎드러지게 할 것임이여 그들이 애굽의 교만을 폐하며 그 모든 무리를 멸하리로다
  I will cause your hordes to fall by the swords of mighty men--the most ruthless of all nations. They will shatter the pride of Egypt, and all her hordes will be overthrown.

13. 내가 또 그 모든 짐승을 큰 물가에서 멸하리니 사람의 발이나 짐승의 굽이 다시는 그 물을 흐리지 못할 것임이여
  I will destroy all her cattle from beside abundant waters no longer to be stirred by the foot of man or muddied by the hoofs of cattle.

14. 그 때에 내가 그 물을 맑게 하여 그 강으로 기름같이 흐르게 하리로다 나 주 여호와의 말이로다
  Then I will let her waters settle and make her streams flow like oil, declares the Sovereign LORD.

15. 내가 애굽 땅으로 황무하여 사막이 되게 하여 거기 풍성한 것이 없게 할 것임이여 그 가운데 모든 거민을 치리니 그들이 나를 여호와인 줄 알리로다
  When I make Egypt desolate and strip the land of everything in it, when I strike down all who live there, then they will know that I am the LORD.'

16. 이는 슬피 부를 애가니 열국 여자들이 이것을 슬피 부름이여 애굽과 그 모든 무리를 위하여 이것을 슬피 부르리로다 나 주 여호와의 말이로다 하라
  "This is the lament they will chant for her. The daughters of the nations will chant it; for Egypt and all her hordes they will chant it, declares the Sovereign LORD."

17. 제 십이 년 어느 달 십오일에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
  In the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me:

18. 인자야 애굽의 무리를 애곡하고 그와 유명한 나라 여자들을 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 지하에 던지며
  "Son of man, wail for the hordes of Egypt and consign to the earth below both her and the daughters of mighty nations, with those who go down to the pit.

19. 이르라 너의 아름다움이 누구보다 지나가는고 너는 내려가서 할례 받지 않은 자와 함께 뉘울찌어다
  Say to them, 'Are you more favored than others? Go down and be laid among the uncircumcised.'

20. 그들이 살륙 당한 자 중에 엎드러질 것임이여 그는 칼에 붙인바 되었은즉 그와 그 모든 무리를 끌찌어다
  They will fall among those killed by the sword. The sword is drawn; let her be dragged off with all her hordes.

21. 용사 중에 강한 자가 그를 돕는 자와 함께 음부 가운데서 그에게 말함이여 할례받지 않은 자 곧 칼에 살륙당한 자들이 내려와서 가만히 누웠다 하리로다
  From within the grave the mighty leaders will say of Egypt and her allies, 'They have come down and they lie with the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword.'

22. 거기 앗수르와 그 온 무리가 있음이여 다 살륙을 당하여 칼에 엎드러진 자라 그 무덤이 그 사방에 있도다
  "Assyria is there with her whole army; she is surrounded by the graves of all her slain, all who have fallen by the sword.

23. 그 무덤이 구덩이 깊은 곳에 베풀렸고 그 무리가 그 무덤 사방에 있음이여 그들은 다 살륙을 당하여 칼에 엎드러진 자 곧 생존 세상에서 사람을 두렵게 하던 자로다
  Their graves are in the depths of the pit and her army lies around her grave. All who had spread terror in the land of the living are slain, fallen by the sword.

24. 거기 엘람이 있고 그 모든 무리가 그 무덤 사면에 있음이여 그들은 다 할례를 받지 못하고 살륙을 당하여 칼에 엎드러져 지하에 내려간 자로다 그들이 생존 세상에서 두렵게 하였었으나 이제는 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 수치를 당하였도다
  "Elam is there, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are slain, fallen by the sword. All who had spread terror in the land of the living went down uncircumcised to the earth below. They bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

25. 그와 그 모든 무리를 위하여 침상을 살륙당한 자 중에 베풀었고 그 여러 무덤은 사면에 있음이여 그들은 다 할례를 받지 못하고 칼에 살륙을 당한 자로다 그들이 생존 세상에서 두렵게 하였었으나 이제는 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 수치를 당하고 살륙당한 자 중에 뉘었도다
  A bed is made for her among the slain, with all her hordes around her grave. All of them are uncircumcised, killed by the sword. Because their terror had spread in the land of the living, they bear their shame with those who go down to the pit; they are laid among the slain.

26. 거기 메섹과 두발과 그 모든 무리가 있고 그 여러 무덤은 사면에 있음이여 그들은 다 할례를 받지 못하고 칼에 살륙을 당한 자로다 그들이 생존 세상에서 두렵게 하였었으나
  "Meshech and Tubal are there, with all their hordes around their graves. All of them are uncircumcised, killed by the sword because they spread their terror in the land of the living.

27. 그들이 할례받지 못한 자 중에 이미 엎드러진 용사와 함께 누운 것이 마땅치 아니하냐 이 용사들은 다 병기를 가지고 음부에 내려 자기의 칼을 베개하였으니 그 백골이 자기 죄악을 졌음이여 생존 세상에서 용사의 두려움이 있던 자로다
  Do they not lie with the other uncircumcised warriors who have fallen, who went down to the grave with their weapons of war, whose swords were placed under their heads? The punishment for their sins rested on their bones, though the terror of these warriors had stalked through the land of the living.

28. 오직 너는 할례받지 못한 자와 일반으로 패망할 것임이여 칼에 살륙당한 자와 함께 누우리로다
  "You too, O Pharaoh, will be broken and will lie among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword.

29. 거기 에돔 곧 그 열왕과 그 모든 방백이 있음이여 그들이 강성하였었으나 칼에 살륙당한 자와 함께 있겠고 할례받지 못하고 구덩이에 내려간 자와 함께 누우리로다
  "Edom is there, her kings and all her princes; despite their power, they are laid with those killed by the sword. They lie with the uncircumcised, with those who go down to the pit.

30. 거기 살륙당한 자와 함께 내려간 북방 모든 방백과 모든 시돈 사람이 있음이여 그들이 본래는 강성하였으므로 두렵게 하였었으나 이제는 부끄러움을 품고 할례받지 못하고 칼에 살륙당한 자와 함께 누웠고 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 수욕을 당하였도다
  "All the princes of the north and all the Sidonians are there; they went down with the slain in disgrace despite the terror caused by their power. They lie uncircumcised with those killed by the sword and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit.

31. 바로가 그들을 보고 그 모든 무리로 인하여 위로를 받을 것임이여 칼에 살륙당한 바로와 그 온 군대가 그러하리로다 나 주 여호와의 말이로다
  "Pharaoh--he and all his army--will see them and he will be consoled for all his hordes that were killed by the sword, declares the Sovereign LORD.

32. 내가 바로로 생존 세상에서 사람을 두렵게 하게 하였었으나 이제는 그가 그 모든 무리로 더불어 할례받지 못한 자 곧 칼에 살륙당한 자와 함께 뉘우리로다 나 주 여호와의 말이로다
  Although I had him spread terror in the land of the living, Pharaoh and all his hordes will be laid among the uncircumcised, with those killed by the sword, declares the Sovereign LORD."

시편 80

1. 요셉을 양 떼같이 인도하시는 이스라엘의 목자여 귀를 기울이소서 그룹 사이에 좌정하신 자여 빛을 비취소서
  For the director of music. To the tune of"The Lilies of the Covenant." Of Asaph. A psalm. Hear us, O Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock; you who sit enthroned between the cherubim, shine forth

2. 에브라임과 베냐민과 므낫세 앞에서 주의 용력을 내사 우리를 구원하러 오소서
  before Ephraim, Benjamin and Manasseh. Awaken your might; come and save us.

3. 하나님이여 우리를 돌이키시고 주의 얼굴 빛을 비취사 우리로 구원을 얻게 하소서
  Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.

4. 만군의 하나님 여호와여 주의 백성의 기도에 대하여 어느 때까지 노하시리이까
  O LORD God Almighty, how long will your anger smolder against the prayers of your people?

5. 주께서 저희를 눈물 양식으로 먹이시며 다량의 눈물을 마시게 하셨나이다
  You have fed them with the bread of tears; you have made them drink tears by the bowlful.

6. 우리로 우리 이웃에게 다툼거리가 되게 하시니 우리 원수들이 서로 웃나이다
  You have made us a source of contention to our neighbors, and our enemies mock us.

7. 만군의 하나님이여 우리를 돌이키시고 주의 얼굴 빛을 비취사 우리로 구원을 얻게 하소서
  Restore us, O God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.

8. 주께서 한 포도나무를 애굽에서 가져다가 열방을 쫓아내시고 이를 심으셨나이다
  You brought a vine out of Egypt; you drove out the nations and planted it.

9. 주께서 그 앞서 준비하셨으므로 그 뿌리가 깊이 박혀서 땅에 편만하며
  You cleared the ground for it, and it took root and filled the land.

10. 그 그늘이 산들을 가리우고 그 가지는 하나님의 백향목 같으며
  The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches.

11. 그 가지가 바다까지 뻗고 넝쿨이 강까지 미쳤거늘
  It sent out its boughs to the Sea, its shoots as far as the River.

12. 주께서 어찌하여 그 담을 헐으사 길에 지나는 모든 자로 따게 하셨나이까
  Why have you broken down its walls so that all who pass by pick its grapes?

13. 수풀의 돼지가 상해하며 들짐승들이 먹나이다
  Boars from the forest ravage it and the creatures of the field feed on it.

14. 만군의 하나님이여 구하옵나니 돌이키사 하늘에서 굽어보시고 이 포도나무를 권고하소서
  Return to us, O God Almighty! Look down from heaven and see! Watch over this vine,

15. 주의 오른손으로 심으신 줄기요 주를 위하여 힘있게 하신 가지니이다
  the root your right hand has planted, the son you have raised up for yourself.

16. 그것이 소화되고 작벌을 당하며 주의 면책을 인하여 망하오니
  Your vine is cut down, it is burned with fire; at your rebuke your people perish.

17. 주의 우편에 있는 자 곧 주를 위하여 힘있게 하신 인자의 위에 주의 손을 얹으소서
  Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself.

18. 그러하면 우리가 주에게서 물러가지 아니하오리니 우리를 소생케 하소서 우리가 주의 이름을 부르리이다
  Then we will not turn away from you; revive us, and we will call on your name.

19. 만군의 하나님 여호와여 우리를 돌이키시고 주의 얼굴 빛을 비취소서 우리가 구원을 얻으리이다
  Restore us, O LORD God Almighty; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.
