사무엘하 12

1. 여호와께서 나단을 다윗에게 보내시니 와서 저에게 이르되 한 성에 두 사람이 있는데 하나는 부하고 하나는 가난하니
  The LORD sent Nathan to David. When he came to him, he said, "There were two men in a certain town, one rich and the other poor.

2. 그 부한 자는 양과 소가 심히 많으나
  The rich man had a very large number of sheep and cattle,

3. 가난한 자는 아무것도 없고 자기가 사서 기르는 작은 암양 새끼 하나뿐이라 그 암양 새끼는 저와 저의 자식과 함께 있어 자라며 저의 먹는 것을 먹으며 저의 잔에서 마시며 저의 품에 누우므로 저에게는 딸처럼 되었거늘
  but the poor man had nothing except one little ewe lamb he had bought. He raised it, and it grew up with him and his children. It shared his food, drank from his cup and even slept in his arms. It was like a daughter to him.

4. 어떤 행인이 그 부자에게 오매 부자가 자기의 양과 소를 아껴 자기에게 온 행인을 위하여 잡지 아니하고 가난한 사람의 양 새끼를 빼앗아다가 자기에게 온 사람을 위하여 잡았나이다
  "Now a traveler came to the rich man, but the rich man refrained from taking one of his own sheep or cattle to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him. Instead, he took the ewe lamb that belonged to the poor man and prepared it for the one who had come to him."

5. 다윗이 그 사람을 크게 노하여 나단에게 이르되 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 이 일을 행한 사람은 마땅히 죽을 자라
  David burned with anger against the man and said to Nathan, "As surely as the LORD lives, the man who did this deserves to die!

6. 저가 불쌍히 여기지 않고 이 일을 행하였으니 그 양 새끼를 사 배나 갚아 주어야 하리라
  He must pay for that lamb four times over, because he did such a thing and had no pity."

7. 나단이 다윗에게 이르되 당신이 그 사람이라 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이처럼 이르시기를 내가 너로 이스라엘 왕을 삼기 위하여 네게 기름을 붓고 너를 사울의 손에서 구원하고
  Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.

8. 네 주인의 집을 네게 주고 네 주인의 처들을 네 품에 두고 이스라엘과 유다 족속을 네게 맡겼느니라 만일 그것이 부족하였을 것 같으면 내가 네게 이것 저것을 더 주었으리라
  I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.

9. 그러한데 어찌하여 네가 여호와의 말씀을 업신여기고 나 보기에 악을 행하였느뇨 네가 칼로 헷 사람 우리아를 죽이되 암몬 자손의 칼로 죽이고 그 처를 빼앗아 네 처를 삼았도다
  Why did you despise the word of the LORD by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

10. 이제 네가 나를 업신여기고 헷 사람 우리아의 처를 빼앗아 네 처를 삼았은즉 칼이 네 집에 영영히 떠나지 아니하리라 하셨고
  Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.'

11. 여호와께서 또 이처럼 이르시기를 내가 네 집에 재화를 일으키고 내가 네 처들을 가져 네 눈 앞에서 다른 사람에게 주리니 그 사람이 네 처들로 더불어 백주에 동침하리라
  "This is what the LORD says: 'Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity upon you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will lie with your wives in broad daylight.

12. 너는 은밀히 행하였으나 나는 이스라엘 무리 앞 백주에 이 일을 행하리라 하셨나이다
  You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.'"

13. 다윗이 나단에게 이르되 내가 여호와께 죄를 범하였노라 하매 나단이 다윗에게 대답하되 여호와께서도 당신의 죄를 사하셨나니 당신이 죽지 아니하려니와
  Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." Nathan replied, "The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.

14. 이 일로 인하여 여호와의 원수로 크게 훼방할 거리를 얻게 하였으니 당신의 낳은 아이가 정녕 죽으리이다 하고
  But because by doing this you have made the enemies of the LORD show utter contempt, the son born to you will die."

15. 나단이 자기 집으로 돌아가니라 우리아의 처가 다윗에게 낳은 아이를 여호와께서 치시매 심히 앓는지라
  After Nathan had gone home, the LORD struck the child that Uriah's wife had borne to David, and he became ill.

16. 다윗이 그 아이를 위하여 하나님께 간구하되 금식하고 안에 들어가서 밤새도록 땅에 엎드렸으니
  David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and went into his house and spent the nights lying on the ground.

17. 그 집의 늙은 자들이 곁에 이르러 다윗을 일으키려 하되 왕이 듣지 아니하고 저희로 더불어 먹지도 아니하더라
  The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them.

18. 이레 만에 그 아이가 죽으니라 그러나 다윗의 신복들이 아이의 죽은 것을 왕에게 고하기를 두려워하니 이는 저희가 말하기를 아이가 살았을 때에 우리가 말하여도 왕이 그 말을 듣지 아니하셨나니 어떻게 그 아이의 죽은 것을 고할 수 있으랴 왕이 훼상하시리로다 함이라
  On the seventh day the child died. David's servants were afraid to tell him that the child was dead, for they thought, "While the child was still living, we spoke to David but he would not listen to us. How can we tell him the child is dead? He may do something desperate."

19. 다윗이 그 신복들의 서로 수군거리는 것을 보고 그 아이가 죽은 줄을 깨닫고 그 신복들에게 묻되 아이가 죽었느냐 대답하되 죽었나이다
  David noticed that his servants were whispering among themselves and he realized the child was dead. "Is the child dead?" he asked. "Yes," they replied, "he is dead."

20. 다윗이 땅에서 일어나 몸을 씻고 기름을 바르고 의복을 갈아 입고 여호와의 전에 들어가서 경배하고 궁으로 돌아와서 명하여 음식을 그 앞에 베풀게 하고 먹은지라
  Then David got up from the ground. After he had washed, put on lotions and changed his clothes, he went into the house of the LORD and worshiped. Then he went to his own house, and at his request they served him food, and he ate.

21. 신복들이 왕께 묻되 아이가 살았을 때에는 위하여 금식하고 우시더니 죽은 후에는 일어나서 잡수시니 어찜이니이까
  His servants asked him, "Why are you acting this way? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!"

22. 가로되 아이가 살았을 때에 내가 금식하고 운 것은 혹시 여호와께서 나를 불쌍히 여기사 아이를 살려 주실는지 누가 알까 생각함이어니와
  He answered, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, 'Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.'

23. 시방은 죽었으니 어찌 금식하랴 내가 다시 돌아오게 할 수 있느냐 나는 저에게로 가려니와 저는 내게로 돌아오지 아니하리라
  But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me."

24. 다윗이 그 처 밧세바를 위로하고 저에게 들어가 동침하였더니 저가 아들을 낳으매 그 이름을 솔로몬이라 하니라 여호와께서 그를 사랑하사
  Then David comforted his wife Bathsheba, and he went to her and lay with her. She gave birth to a son, and they named him Solomon. The LORD loved him;

25. 선지자 나단을 보내사 그 이름을 여디디야라 하시니 이는 여호와께서 사랑하심을 인함이더라
  and because the LORD loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah.

26. 요압이 암몬 자손의 왕성 랍바를 쳐서 취하게 되매
  Meanwhile Joab fought against Rabbah of the Ammonites and captured the royal citadel.

27. 사자를 다윗에게 보내어 가로되 내가 랍바 곧 물들의 성을 쳐서 취하게 되었으니
  Joab then sent messengers to David, saying, "I have fought against Rabbah and taken its water supply.

28. 이제 왕은 남은 군사를 모아 진치고 이 성을 쳐서 취하소서 내가 이 성을 취하면 이 성이 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받을까 두려워하나이다
  Now muster the rest of the troops and besiege the city and capture it. Otherwise I will take the city, and it will be named after me."

29. 다윗이 모든 군사를 모아 랍바로 가서 쳐서 취하고
  So David mustered the entire army and went to Rabbah, and attacked and captured it.

30. 그 왕의 머리에서 보석 있는 면류관을 취하니 그 중량이 금 한 달란트라 다윗이 머리에 쓰니라 다윗이 또 그 성에서 노략한 물건을 무수히 내어오고
  He took the crown from the head of their king--its weight was a talent of gold, and it was set with precious stones--and it was placed on David's head. He took a great quantity of plunder from the city

31. 그 가운데 백성들을 끌어내어 톱질과 써레질과 도끼질과 벽돌구이를 하게 하니라 암몬 자손의 모든 성을 이같이 하고 다윗과 모든 백성이 예루살렘으로 돌아오니라
  and brought out the people who were there, consigning them to labor with saws and with iron picks and axes, and he made them work at brickmaking. He did this to all the Ammonite towns. Then David and his entire army returned to Jerusalem.

고린도후서 5

1. 만일 땅에 있는 우리의 장막 집이 무너지면 하나님께서 지으신 집 곧 손으로 지은 것이 아니요 하늘에 있는 영원한 집이 우리에게 있는 줄 아나니
  Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.

2. 과연 우리가 여기 있어 탄식하며 하늘로부터 오는 우리 처소로 덧입기를 간절히 사모하노니
  Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling,

3. 이렇게 입음은 벗은 자들로 발견되지 않으려 함이라
  because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked.

4. 이 장막에 있는 우리가 짐 진 것같이 탄식하는 것은 벗고자 함이 아니요 오직 덧입고자 함이니 죽을 것이 생명에게 삼킨 바 되게 하려 함이라
  For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

5. 곧 이것을 우리에게 이루게 하시고 보증으로 성령을 우리에게 주신 이는 하나님이시니라
  Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

6. 이러므로 우리가 항상 담대하여 몸에 거할 때에는 주와 따로 거하는 줄을 아노니
  Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord.

7. 이는 우리가 믿음으로 행하고 보는 것으로 하지 아니함이로라
  We live by faith, not by sight.

8. 우리가 담대하여 원하는 바는 차라리 몸을 떠나 주와 함께 거하는 그것이라
  We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

9. 그런즉 우리는 거하든지 떠나든지 주를 기쁘시게 하는 자 되기를 힘쓰노라
  So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.

10. 이는 우리가 다 반드시 그리스도의 심판대 앞에 드러나 각각 선악간에 그 몸으로 행한 것을 따라 받으려 함이라
  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

11. 우리가 주의 두려우심을 알므로 사람을 권하노니 우리가 하나님 앞에 알리워졌고 또 너희의 양심에도 알리워졌기를 바라노라
  Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience.

12. 우리가 다시 너희에게 자천하는 것이 아니요 오직 우리를 인하여 자랑할 기회를 너희에게 주어 마음으로 하지 않고 외모로 자랑하는 자들을 대하게 하려 하는 것이라
  We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart.

13. 우리가 만일 미쳤어도 하나님을 위한 것이요 만일 정신이 온전하여도 너희를 위한 것이니
  If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.

14. 그리스도의 사랑이 우리를 강권하시는도다 우리가 생각건대 한 사람이 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽었은즉 모든 사람이 죽은 것이라
  For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

15. 저가 모든 사람을 대신하여 죽으심은 산 자들로 하여금 다시는 저희 자신을 위하여 살지 않고 오직 저희를 대신하여 죽었다가 다시 사신 자를 위하여 살게 하려 함이니라
  And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

16. 그러므로 우리가 이제부터는 아무 사람도 육체대로 알지 아니하노라 비록 우리가 그리스도도 육체대로 알았으나 이제부터는 이같이 알지 아니하노라
  So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

17. 그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다
  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

18. 모든 것이 하나님께로 났나니 저가 그리스도로 말미암아 우리를 자기와 화목하게 하시고 또 우리에게 화목하게 하는 직책을 주셨으니
  All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

19. 이는 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 저희의 죄를 저희에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라
  that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

20. 이러므로 우리가 그리스도를 대신하여 사신이 되어 하나님이 우리로 너희를 권면하시는 것같이 그리스도를 대신하여 간구하노니 너희는 하나님과 화목하라
  We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

21. 하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 자로 우리를 대신하여 죄를 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 저의 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이니라
  God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

에스겔 19

1. 너는 이스라엘 방백들을 위하여 애가를 지어
  "Take up a lament concerning the princes of Israel

2. 부르기를 네 어미는 무엇이냐 암사자라 그가 사자들 가운데 엎드리어 젊은 사자 중에서 그 새끼를 기르는데
  and say: "'What a lioness was your mother among the lions! She lay down among the young lions and reared her cubs.

3. 그 새끼 하나를 키우매 젊은 사자가 되어 식물 움키기를 배워 사람을 삼키매
  She brought up one of her cubs, and he became a strong lion. He learned to tear the prey and he devoured men.

4. 이방이 듣고 함정으로 그를 잡아 갈고리로 꿰어 끌고 애굽 땅으로 간지라
  The nations heard about him, and he was trapped in their pit. They led him with hooks to the land of Egypt.

5. 암사자가 기다리다가 소망이 끊어진 줄을 알고 그 새끼 하나를 또 취하여 젊은 사자가 되게 하니
  "'When she saw her hope unfulfilled, her expectation gone, she took another of her cubs and made him a strong lion.

6. 젊은 사자가 되매 여러 사자 가운데 왕래하며 식물 움키기를 배워 사람을 삼키며
  He prowled among the lions, for he was now a strong lion. He learned to tear the prey and he devoured men.

7. 그의 궁실들을 헐고 성읍들을 훼파하니 그 우는 소리로 인하여 땅과 그 가득한 것이 황무한지라
  He broke down their strongholds and devastated their towns. The land and all who were in it were terrified by his roaring.

8. 이방이 둘려 있는 지방에서 그를 치러 와서 그의 위에 그물을 치고 함정에 잡아
  Then the nations came against him, those from regions round about. They spread their net for him, and he was trapped in their pit.

9. 갈고리로 꿰고 철롱에 넣어 끌고 바벨론 왕에게 이르렀나니 그를 옥에 가두어서 그 소리로 다시 이스라엘 산에 들리지 않게 하려 함이니라
  With hooks they pulled him into a cage and brought him to the king of Babylon. They put him in prison, so his roar was heard no longer on the mountains of Israel.

10. 네 피의 어미는 물가에 심긴 포도나무 같아서 물이 많으므로 실과가 많고 가지가 무성하며
  "'Your mother was like a vine in your vineyard planted by the water; it was fruitful and full of branches because of abundant water.

11. 그 가지들은 견강하여 권세 잡은 자의 홀이 될만한데 그 하나의 키가 굵은 가지 가운데서 높았으며 많은 가지 가운데서 뛰어나서 보이다가
  Its branches were strong, fit for a ruler's scepter. It towered high above the thick foliage, conspicuous for its height and for its many branches.

12. 분노 중에 뽑혀서 땅에 던짐을 당하매 그 실과는 동풍에 마르고 그 견강한 가지들은 꺾이고 말라 불에 탔더니
  But it was uprooted in fury and thrown to the ground. The east wind made it shrivel, it was stripped of its fruit; its strong branches withered and fire consumed them.

13. 이제는 광야, 메마르고 가물이 든 땅에 심긴 바 되고
  Now it is planted in the desert, in a dry and thirsty land.

14. 불이 그 가지 중 하나에서부터 나와서 그 실과를 태우니 권세 잡은 자의 홀이 될만한 견강한 가지가 없도다 이것이 애가라 후에도 애가가 되리라
  Fire spread from one of its main branches and consumed its fruit. No strong branch is left on it fit for a ruler's scepter.' This is a lament and is to be used as a lament."

시편 64-65

1. 하나님이여 나의 근심하는 소리를 들으시고 원수의 두려움에서 나의 생명을 보존하소서
  For the director of music. A psalm of David. Hear me, O God, as I voice my complaint; protect my life from the threat of the enemy.

2. 주는 나를 숨기사 행악자의 비밀한 꾀에서와 죄악을 짓는 자의 요란에서 벗어나게 하소서
  Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked, from that noisy crowd of evildoers.

3. 저희가 칼같이 자기 혀를 연마하며 화살같이 독한 말로 겨누고
  They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their words like deadly arrows.

4. 숨은 곳에서 완전한 자를 쏘려 하다가 갑자기 쏘고 두려워하지 않도다
  They shoot from ambush at the innocent man; they shoot at him suddenly, without fear.

5. 저희는 악한 목적으로 서로 장려하며 비밀히 올무 놓기를 함께 의논하고 하는 말이 누가 보리요 하며
  They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares; they say, "Who will see them?"

6. 저희는 죄악을 도모하며 이르기를 우리가 묘책을 찾았다 하나니 각 사람의 속뜻과 마음이 깊도다
  They plot injustice and say, "We have devised a perfect plan!" Surely the mind and heart of man are cunning.

7. 그러나 하나님이 저희를 쏘시리니 저희가 홀연히 살에 상하리로다
  But God will shoot them with arrows; suddenly they will be struck down.

8. 이러므로 저희가 엎드러지리니 저희의 혀가 저희를 해함이라 저희를 보는 자가 다 머리를 흔들리로다
  He will turn their own tongues against them and bring them to ruin; all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.

9. 모든 사람이 두려워하여 하나님의 일을 선포하며 그 행하심을 깊이 생각하리로다
  All mankind will fear; they will proclaim the works of God and ponder what he has done.

10. 의인은 여호와를 인하여 즐거워하며 그에게 피하리니 마음이 정직한 자는 다 자랑하리로다
  Let the righteous rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise him!

1. 하나님이여 찬송이 시온에서 주를 기다리오며 사람이 서원을 주께 이행하리이다
  For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song. Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled.

2. 기도를 들으시는 주여 모든 육체가 주께 나아오리이다
  O you who hear prayer, to you all men will come.

3. 죄악이 나를 이기었사오니 우리의 죄과를 주께서 사하시리이다
  When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions.

4. 주께서 택하시고 가까이 오게 하사 주의 뜰에 거하게 하신 사람은 복이 있나이다 우리가 주의 집 곧 주의 성전의 아름다움으로 만족하리이다
  Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.

5. 우리 구원의 하나님이시여 땅의 모든 끝과 먼 바다에 있는 자의 의지할 주께서 의를 좇아 엄위하신 일로 우리에게 응답하시리이다
  You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas,

6. 주는 주의 힘으로 산을 세우시며 권능으로 띠를 띠시며
  who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,

7. 바다의 흉용과 물결의 요동과 만민의 훤화까지 진정하시나이다
  who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.

8. 땅 끝에 거하는 자가 주의 징조를 두려워하나이다 주께서 아침 되는 것과 저녁 되는 것을 즐거워하게 하시며
  Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades you call forth songs of joy.

9. 땅을 권고하사 물을 대어 심히 윤택케 하시며 하나님의 강에 물이 가득하게 하시고 이같이 땅을 예비하신 후에 저희에게 곡식을 주시나이다
  You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.

10. 주께서 밭고랑에 물을 넉넉히 대사 그 이랑을 평평하게 하시며 또 단비로 부드럽게 하시고 그 싹에 복 주시나이다
  You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.

11. 주의 은택으로 년사에 관 씌우시니 주의 길에는 기름이 떨어지며
  You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.

12. 들의 초장에도 떨어지니 작은 산들이 기쁨으로 띠를 띠었나이다
  The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.

13. 초장에는 양 떼가 입혔고 골짜기에는 곡식이 덮였으매 저희가 다 즐거이 외치고 또 노래하나이다
  The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.
