사무엘하 11

1. 해가 돌아와서 왕들의 출전할 때가 되매 다윗이 요압과 그 신복과 온 이스라엘 군대를 보내니 저희가 암몬 자손을 멸하고 랍바를 에워쌌고 다윗은 예루살렘에 그대로 있으니라
  In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war, David sent Joab out with the king's men and the whole Israelite army. They destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.

2. 저녁때에 다윗이 그 침상에서 일어나 왕궁 지붕 위에서 거닐다가 그 곳에서 보니 한 여인이 목욕을 하는데 심히 아름다와 보이는지라
  One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,

3. 다윗이 보내어 그 여인을 알아보게 하였더니 고하되 그는 엘리암의 딸이요 헷 사람 우리아의 아내 밧세바가 아니니이까
  and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, "Isn't this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?"

4. 다윗이 사자를 보내어 저를 자기에게로 데려오게 하고 저가 그 부정함을 깨끗케 하였으므로 더불어 동침하매 저가 자기 집으로 돌아가니라
  Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (She had purified herself from her uncleanness.) Then she went back home.

5. 여인이 잉태하매 보내어 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 내가 잉태하였나이다 하니라
  The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, "I am pregnant."

6. 다윗이 요압에게 기별하여 헷 사람 우리아를 내게 보내라 하매 요압이 우리아를 다윗에게로 보내니
  So David sent this word to Joab: "Send me Uriah the Hittite." And Joab sent him to David.

7. 우리아가 다윗에게 이르매 다윗이 요압의 안부와 군사의 안부와 싸움의 어떠한 것을 묻고
  When Uriah came to him, David asked him how Joab was, how the soldiers were and how the war was going.

8. 저가 또 우리아에게 이르되 네 집으로 내려가서 발을 씻으라 하니 우리아가 왕궁에서 나가매 왕의 식물이 뒤따라 가니라
  Then David said to Uriah, "Go down to your house and wash your feet." So Uriah left the palace, and a gift from the king was sent after him.

9. 그러나 우리아는 집으로 내려가지 아니하고 왕궁 문에서 그 주의 신복들로 더불어 잔지라
  But Uriah slept at the entrance to the palace with all his master's servants and did not go down to his house.

10. 혹이 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 우리아가 그 집으로 내려가지 아니하였나이다 다윗이 우리아에게 이르되 네가 길 갔다가 돌아온 것이 아니냐 어찌하여 네 집으로 내려가지 아니하였느냐
  When David was told, "Uriah did not go home," he asked him, "Haven't you just come from a distance? Why didn't you go home?"

11. 우리아가 다윗에게 고하되 언약궤와 이스라엘과 유다가 영채 가운데 유하고 내 주 요압과 내 왕의 신복들이 바깥 들에 유진하였거늘 내가 어찌 내 집으로 가서 먹고 마시고 내 처와 같이 자리이까 내가 이 일을 행치 아니하기로 왕의 사심과 왕의 혼의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하나이다
  Uriah said to David, "The ark and Israel and Judah are staying in tents, and my master Joab and my lord's men are camped in the open fields. How could I go to my house to eat and drink and lie with my wife? As surely as you live, I will not do such a thing!"

12. 다윗이 우리아에게 이르되 오늘도 여기 있으라 내일은 내가 너를 보내리라 우리아가 그 날에 예루살렘에 유하니라 이튿날
  Then David said to him, "Stay here one more day, and tomorrow I will send you back." So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the next.

13. 다윗이 저를 불러서 저로 그 앞에서 먹고 마시고 취하게 하니 저녁때에 저가 나가서 그 주의 신복으로 더불어 침상에 눕고 그 집으로 내려가지 아니하니라
  At David's invitation, he ate and drank with him, and David made him drunk. But in the evening Uriah went out to sleep on his mat among his master's servants; he did not go home.

14. 아침이 되매 다윗이 편지를 써서 우리아의 손에 부쳐 요압에게 보내니
  In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah.

15. 그 편지에 써서 이르기를 너희가 우리아를 맹렬한 싸움에 앞세워 두고 너희는 뒤로 물러가서 저로 맞아 죽게 하라 하였더라
  In it he wrote, "Put Uriah in the front line where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die."

16. 요압이 그 성을 살펴 용사들의 있는 줄을 아는 그 곳에 우리아를 두니
  So while Joab had the city under siege, he put Uriah at a place where he knew the strongest defenders were.

17. 성 사람들이 나와서 요압으로 더불어 싸울 때에 다윗의 신복 중 몇 사람이 엎드러지고 헷 사람 우리아도 죽으니라
  When the men of the city came out and fought against Joab, some of the men in David's army fell; moreover, Uriah the Hittite died.

18. 요압이 보내어 전쟁의 모든 일을 다윗에게 고할쌔
  Joab sent David a full account of the battle.

19. 그 사자에게 명하여 가로되 전쟁의 모든 일을 네가 왕께 고하기를 마친 후에
  He instructed the messenger: "When you have finished giving the king this account of the battle,

20. 혹시 왕이 노하여 네게 말씀하기를 너희가 어찌하여 성에 그처럼 가까이 가서 싸웠느냐 저희가 성 위에서 쏠 줄을 알지 못하였느냐
  the king's anger may flare up, and he may ask you, 'Why did you get so close to the city to fight? Didn't you know they would shoot arrows from the wall?

21. 여룹베셋의 아들 아비멜렉을 쳐죽인 자가 누구냐 여인 하나가 성에서 맷돌 윗짝을 그 위에 던지매 저가 데벳스에서 죽지 아니하였느냐 어찌하여 성에 가까이 갔더냐 하시거든 네가 말하기를 왕의 종 헷 사람 우리아도 죽었나이다 하라
  Who killed Abimelech son of Jerub-Besheth? Didn't a woman throw an upper millstone on him from the wall, so that he died in Thebez? Why did you get so close to the wall?' If he asks you this, then say to him, 'Also, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead.'"

22. 사자가 가서 다윗에게 이르러 요압의 모든 보낸 일을 고하여
  The messenger set out, and when he arrived he told David everything Joab had sent him to say.

23. 가로되 그 사람들이 우리보다 승하여 우리를 향하여 들로 나온 고로 우리가 저희를 쳐서 성문 어귀까지 미쳤더니
  The messenger said to David, "The men overpowered us and came out against us in the open, but we drove them back to the entrance to the city gate.

24. 활 쏘는 자들이 성 위에서 왕의 신복들을 향하여 쏘매 왕의 신복 중 몇 사람이 죽고 왕의 종 헷 사람 우리아도 죽었나이다
  Then the archers shot arrows at your servants from the wall, and some of the king's men died. Moreover, your servant Uriah the Hittite is dead."

25. 다윗이 사자에게 이르되 너는 요압에게 이같이 말하기를 이 일로 걱정하지 말라 칼은 이 사람이나 저 사람이나 죽이느니라 그 성을 향하여 더욱 힘써 싸워 함락시키라 하여 너는 저를 담대케 하라 하니라
  David told the messenger, "Say this to Joab: 'Don't let this upset you; the sword devours one as well as another. Press the attack against the city and destroy it.' Say this to encourage Joab."

26. 우리아의 처가 그 남편 우리아의 죽었음을 듣고 호곡하니라
  When Uriah's wife heard that her husband was dead, she mourned for him.

27. 그 장사를 마치매 다윗이 보내어 저를 궁으로 데려오니 저가 그 처가 되어 아들을 낳으니라 다윗의 소위가 여호와 보시기에 악하였더라
  After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the LORD.

고린도후서 4

1. 이러하므로 우리가 이 직분을 받아 긍휼하심을 입은 대로 낙심하지 아니하고
  Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.

2. 이에 숨은 부끄러움의 일을 버리고 궤휼 가운데 행하지 아니하며 하나님의 말씀을 혼잡케 아니하고 오직 진리를 나타냄으로 하나님 앞에서 각 사람의 양심에 대하여 스스로 천거하노라
  Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3. 만일 우리 복음이 가리웠으면 망하는 자들에게 가리운 것이라
  And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

4. 그 중에 이 세상 신이 믿지 아니하는 자들의 마음을 혼미케 하여 그리스도의 영광의 복음의 광채가 비취지 못하게 함이니 그리스도는 하나님의 형상이니라
  The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

5. 우리가 우리를 전파하는 것이 아니라 오직 그리스도 예수의 주 되신 것과 또 예수를 위하여 우리가 너희의 종 된 것을 전파함이라
  For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

6. 어두운 데서 빛이 비취리라 하시던 그 하나님께서 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을 우리 마음에 비취셨느니라
  For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

7. 우리가 이 보배를 질그릇에 가졌으니 이는 능력의 심히 큰 것이 하나님께 있고 우리에게 있지 아니함을 알게 하려 함이라
  But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

8. 우리가 사방으로 우겨쌈을 당하여도 싸이지 아니하며 답답한 일을 당하여도 낙심하지 아니하며
  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

9. 핍박을 받아도 버린 바 되지 아니하며 거꾸러뜨림을 당하여도 망하지 아니하고
  persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

10. 우리가 항상 예수 죽인 것을 몸에 짊어짐은 예수의 생명도 우리 몸에 나타나게 하려 함이라
  We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

11. 우리 산 자가 항상 예수를 위하여 죽음에 넘기움은 예수의 생명이 또한 우리 죽을 육체에 나타나게 하려 함이니라
  For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body.

12. 그런즉 사망은 우리 안에서 역사하고 생명은 너희 안에서 하느니라
  So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

13. 기록한 바 내가 믿는 고로 말하였다 한 것같이 우리가 같은 믿음의 마음을 가졌으니 우리도 믿는 고로 또한 말하노라
  It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,

14. 주 예수를 다시 살리신 이가 예수와 함께 우리도 다시 살리사 너희와 함께 그 앞에 서게 하실 줄을 아노니
  because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.

15. 모든 것을 너희를 위하여 하는 것은 은혜가 많은 사람의 감사함으로 말미암아 더하여 넘쳐서 하나님께 영광을 돌리게 하려 함이라
  All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

16. 그러므로 우리가 낙심하지 아니하노니 겉사람은 후패하나 우리의 속은 날로 새롭도다
  Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

17. 우리의 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 우리에게 이루게 함이니
  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

18. 우리의 돌아보는 것은 보이는 것이 아니요 보이지 않는 것이니 보이는 것은 잠간이요 보이지 않는 것은 영원함이니라
  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

에스겔 18

1. 여호와의 말씀이 또 내게 임하여 가라사대
  The word of the LORD came to me:

2. 너희가 이스라엘 땅에 대한 속담에 이르기를 아비가 신 포도를 먹었으므로 아들의 이가 시다고 함은 어찜이뇨
  "What do you people mean by quoting this proverb about the land of Israel: "'The fathers eat sour grapes, and the children's teeth are set on edge'?

3. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하노니 너희가 이스라엘 가운데서 다시는 이 속담을 쓰지 못하게 되리라
  "As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel.

4. 모든 영혼이 다 내게 속한지라 아비의 영혼이 내게 속함같이 아들의 영혼도 내게 속하였나니 범죄하는 그 영혼이 죽으리라
  For every living soul belongs to me, the father as well as the son--both alike belong to me. The soul who sins is the one who will die.

5. 사람이 만일 의로워서 법과 의를 따라 행하며
  "Suppose there is a righteous man who does what is just and right.

6. 산 위에서 제물을 먹지 아니하며 이스라엘 족속의 우상에게 눈을 들지 아니하며 이웃의 아내를 더럽히지 아니하며 월경 중에 있는 여인을 가까이 하지 아니하며
  He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor's wife or lie with a woman during her period.

7. 사람을 학대하지 아니하며 빚진 자의 전당물을 도로 주며 억탈하지 아니하며 주린 자에게 식물을 주며 벗은 자에게 옷을 입히며
  He does not oppress anyone, but returns what he took in pledge for a loan. He does not commit robbery but gives his food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked.

8. 변을 위하여 꾸이지 아니하며 이식을 받지 아니하며 스스로 손을 금하여 죄악을 짓지 아니하며 사람 사람 사이에 진실히 판단하며
  He does not lend at usury or take excessive interest. He withholds his hand from doing wrong and judges fairly between man and man.

9. 내 율례를 좇으며 내 규례를 지켜 진실히 행할진대 그는 의인이니 정녕 살리라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라
  He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous; he will surely live, declares the Sovereign LORD.

10. 가령 그가 아들을 낳았다 하자 그 아들이 이 모든 선은 하나도 행치 아니하고 이 악 중 하나를 범하여 강포하거나 살인하거나
  "Suppose he has a violent son, who sheds blood or does any of these other things

11. 산 위에서 제물을 먹거나 이웃의 아내를 더럽히거나
  (though the father has done none of them): "He eats at the mountain shrines. He defiles his neighbor's wife.

12. 가난하고 궁핍한 자를 학대하거나 억탈하거나 빚진 자의 전당물을 도로 주지 아니하거나 우상에게 눈을 들거나 가증한 일을 행하거나
  He oppresses the poor and needy. He commits robbery. He does not return what he took in pledge. He looks to the idols. He does detestable things.

13. 변을 위하여 꾸이거나 이식을 받거나 할진대 그가 살겠느냐 살지 못하리니 이 모든 가증한 일을 행하였은즉 정녕 죽을지라 자기의 피가 자기에게로 돌아가리라
  He lends at usury and takes excessive interest. Will such a man live? He will not! Because he has done all these detestable things, he will surely be put to death and his blood will be on his own head.

14. 또 가령 그가 아들을 낳았다 하자 그 아들이 그 아비의 행한 모든 죄를 보고 두려워하여 그대로 행하지 아니하고
  "But suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father commits, and though he sees them, he does not do such things:

15. 산 위에서 제물을 먹지도 아니하며 이스라엘 족속의 우상에게 눈을 들지도 아니하며 이웃의 아내를 더럽히지도 아니하며
  "He does not eat at the mountain shrines or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor's wife.

16. 사람을 학대하지도 아니하며 전당을 잡지도 아니하며 억탈하지도 아니하고 주린 자에게 식물을 주며 벗은 자에게 옷을 입히며
  He does not oppress anyone or require a pledge for a loan. He does not commit robbery but gives his food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked.

17. 손을 금하여 가난한 자를 압제하지 아니하며 변이나 이식을 취하지 아니하여 내 규례를 지키며 내 율례를 행할찐대 이 사람은 그 아비의 죄악으로 인하여 죽지 아니하고 정녕 살겠고
  He withholds his hand from sin and takes no usury or excessive interest. He keeps my laws and follows my decrees. He will not die for his father's sin; he will surely live.

18. 그 아비는 심히 포학하여 그 동족을 억탈하고 민간에 불선을 행하였으므로 그는 그 죄악으로 인하여 죽으리라
  But his father will die for his own sin, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother and did what was wrong among his people.

19. 그런데 너희는 이르기를 아들이 어찌 아비의 죄를 담당치 않겠느뇨 하는도다 아들이 법과 의를 행하며 내 모든 율례를 지켜 행하였으면 그는 정녕 살려니와
  "Yet you ask, 'Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?' Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live.

20. 범죄하는 그 영혼은 죽을찌라 아들은 아비의 죄악을 담당치 아니 할 것이요 아비는 아들의 죄악을 담당치 아니하리니 의인의 의도 자기에게로 돌아 가고 악인의 악도 자기에게로 돌아가리라
  The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.

21. 그러나 악인이 만일 그 행한 모든 죄에서 돌이켜 떠나 내 모든 율례를 지키고 법과 의를 행하면 정녕 살고 죽지 아니할 것이라
  "But if a wicked man turns away from all the sins he has committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die.

22. 그 범죄한 것이 하나도 기억함이 되지 아니하리니 그 행한 의로 인하여 살리라
  None of the offenses he has committed will be remembered against him. Because of the righteous things he has done, he will live.

23. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 어찌 악인의 죽는 것을 조금인들 기뻐하랴 그가 돌이켜 그 길에서 떠나서 사는 것을 어찌 기뻐하지 아니하겠느냐
  Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

24. 만일 의인이 돌이켜 그 의에서 떠나서 범죄하고 악인의 행하는 모든 가증한 일대로 행하면 살겠느냐 그 행한 의로운 일은 하나도 기억함이 되지 아니하리니 그가 그 범한 허물과 그 지은 죄로 인하여 죽으리라
  "But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked man does, will he live? None of the righteous things he has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness he is guilty of and because of the sins he has committed, he will die.

25. 그런데 너희는 이르기를 주의 길이 공평치 않다 하는도다 이스라엘 족속아 들을찌어다 내 길이 어찌 공평치 아니하냐 너희 길이 공평치 않은 것이 아니냐
  "Yet you say, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Hear, O house of Israel: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

26. 만일 의인이 그 의를 떠나 죄악을 행하고 인하여 죽으면 그 행한 죄악으로 인하여 죽는 것이요
  If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die.

27. 만일 악인이 그 행한 악을 떠나 법과 의를 행하면 그 영혼을 보전하리라
  But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life.

28. 그가 스스로 헤아리고 그 행한 모든 죄악에서 돌이켜 떠났으니 정녕 살고 죽지 아니하리라
  Because he considers all the offenses he has committed and turns away from them, he will surely live; he will not die.

29. 그런데 이스라엘 족속은 이르기를 주의 길이 공평치 않다 하는도다 이스라엘 족속아 나의 길이 어찌 공평치 아니하냐 너희 길이 공평치 않은 것이 아니냐
  Yet the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not just.' Are my ways unjust, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

30. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 이스라엘 족속아 내가 너희 각 사람의 행한대로 국문할찌라 너희는 돌이켜 회개하고 모든 죄에서 떠날 찌어다 그리한즉 죄악이 너희를 패망케 아니하리라
  "Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.

31. 너희는 범한 모든 죄악을 버리고 마음과 영을 새롭게 할찌어다 이스라엘 족속아 너희가 어찌하여 죽고자 하느냐
  Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel?

32. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 죽는 자의 죽는 것은 내가 기뻐하지 아니하노니 너희는 스스로 돌이키고 살찌니라
  For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!

시편 62-63

1. 나의 영혼이 잠잠히 하나님만 바람이여 나의 구원이 그에게서 나는도다
  For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

2. 오직 저만 나의 반석이시요 나의 구원이시요 나의 산성이시니 내가 크게 요동치 아니하리로다
  He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.

3. 넘어지는 담과 흔들리는 울타리 같은 사람을 죽이려고 너희가 일제히 박격하기를 언제까지 하려느냐
  How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down--this leaning wall, this tottering fence?

4. 저희가 그를 그 높은 위에서 떨어뜨리기만 꾀하고 거짓을 즐겨하니 입으로는 축복이요 속으로는 저주로다 (셀라)
  They fully intend to topple him from his lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse. Selah

5. 나의 영혼아 잠잠히 하나님만 바라라 대저 나의 소망이 저로 좇아 나는도다
  Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.

6. 오직 저만 나의 반석이시요 나의 구원이시요 나의 산성이시니 내가 요동치 아니하리로다
  He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.

7. 나의 구원과 영광이 하나님께 있음이여 내 힘의 반석과 피난처도 하나님께 있도다
  My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

8. 백성들아 시시로 저를 의지하고 그 앞에 마음을 토하라 하나님은 우리의 피난처시로다 (셀라)
  Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Selah

9. 진실로 천한 자도 헛되고 높은 자도 거짓되니 저울에 달면 들려 입김보다 경하리로다
  Lowborn men are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie; if weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.

10. 포학을 의지하지 말며 탈취한 것으로 허망하여지지 말며 재물이 늘어도 거기 치심치 말찌어다
  Do not trust in extortion or take pride in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.

11. 하나님이 한두 번 하신 말씀을 내가 들었나니 권능은 하나님께 속하였다 하셨도다
  One thing God has spoken, two things have I heard: that you, O God, are strong,

12. 주여 인자함도 주께 속하였사오니 주께서 각 사람이 행한 대로 갚으심이니이다
  and that you, O Lord, are loving. Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.

1. 하나님이여 주는 나의 하나님이시라 내가 간절히 주를 찾되 물이 없어 마르고 곤핍한 땅에서 내 영혼이 주를 갈망하며 내 육체가 주를 앙모하나이다
  A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah. O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.

2. 내가 주의 권능과 영광을 보려 하여 이와 같이 성소에서 주를 바라보았나이다
  I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

3. 주의 인자가 생명보다 나으므로 내 입술이 주를 찬양할 것이라
  Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

4. 이러므로 내 평생에 주를 송축하며 주의 이름으로 인하여 내 손을 들리이다
  I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.

5. 골수와 기름진 것을 먹음과 같이 내 영혼이 만족할 것이라 내 입이 기쁜 입술로 주를 찬송하되
  My soul will be satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.

6. 내가 나의 침상에서 주를 기억하며 밤중에 주를 묵상할 때에 하오리니
  On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.

7. 주는 나의 도움이 되셨음이라 내가 주의 날개 그늘에서 즐거이 부르리이다
  Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings.

8. 나의 영혼이 주를 가까이 따르니 주의 오른손이 나를 붙드시거니와
  My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.

9. 나의 영혼을 찾아 멸하려 하는 저희는 땅 깊은 곳에 들어가며
  They who seek my life will be destroyed; they will go down to the depths of the earth.

10. 칼의 세력에 붙인 바 되어 시랑의 밥이 되리이다
  They will be given over to the sword and become food for jackals.

11. 왕은 하나님을 즐거워하리니 주로 맹세한 자마다 자랑할 것이나 거짓말하는 자의 입은 막히리로다
  But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God's name will praise him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.
