사사기 16

1. 삼손이 가사에 가서 거기서 한 기생을 보고 그에게로 들어갔더니
  One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute. He went in to spend the night with her.

2. 혹이 가사 사람에게 고하여 가로되 삼손이 여기 왔다 하매 곧 그를 에워싸고 밤새도록 성문에 매복하고 밤새도록 종용히 하며 이르기를 새벽이 되거든 그를 죽이리라 하였더라
  The people of Gaza were told, "Samson is here!" So they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. They made no move during the night, saying, "At dawn we'll kill him."

3. 삼손이 밤중까지 누웠다가 그 밤중에 일어나 성문짝들과 두 설주와 빗장을 빼어 그것을 모두 어깨에 메고 헤브론 앞산 꼭대기로 가니라
  But Samson lay there only until the middle of the night. Then he got up and took hold of the doors of the city gate, together with the two posts, and tore them loose, bar and all. He lifted them to his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron.

4. 이 후에 삼손이 소렉 골짜기의 들릴라라 이름하는 여인을 사랑하매
  Some time later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah.

5. 블레셋 사람의 방백들이 그 여인에게로 올라와서 그에게 이르되 삼손을 꾀어서 무엇으로 말미암아 그 큰 힘이 있는지 우리가 어떻게 하면 그를 이기어서 결박하여 곤고케 할 수 있을는지 알아보라 그리하면 우리가 각각 은 일천일백을 네게 주리라
  The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, "See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels of silver."

6. 들릴라가 삼손에게 말하되 청컨대 당신의 큰 힘이 무엇으로 말미암아 있으며 어떻게 하면 능히 당신을 결박하여 곤고케 할 수 있을는지 내게 말하라
  So Delilah said to Samson, "Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued."

7. 삼손이 그에게 이르되 만일 마르지 아니한 푸른 칡 일곱으로 나를 결박하면 내가 약하여져서 다른 사람과 같으리라
  Samson answered her, "If anyone ties me with seven fresh thongs that have not been dried, I'll become as weak as any other man."

8. 블레셋 사람의 방백들이 마르지 아니한 푸른 칡 일곱을 여인에게로 가져오매 그가 그것으로 삼손을 결박하고
  Then the rulers of the Philistines brought her seven fresh thongs that had not been dried, and she tied him with them.

9. 이미 사람을 내실에 매복시켰으므로 삼손에게 말하되 삼손이여 블레셋 사람이 당신에게 미쳤느니라 하니 삼손이 그 칡 끊기를 불탄 삼실을 끊음같이 하였고 그 힘의 근본은 여전히 알지 못하니라
  With men hidden in the room, she called to him, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!" But he snapped the thongs as easily as a piece of string snaps when it comes close to a flame. So the secret of his strength was not discovered.

10. 들릴라가 삼손에게 이르되 보라 당신이 나를 희롱하여 내게 거짓말을 하였도다 청컨대 무엇으로 하면 당신을 결박할 수 있을는지 이제는 내게 말하라
  Then Delilah said to Samson, "You have made a fool of me; you lied to me. Come now, tell me how you can be tied."

11. 삼손이 그에게 이르되 만일 쓰지 아니한 새 줄로 나를 결박하면 내가 약하여져서 다른 사람과 같으리라
  He said, "If anyone ties me securely with new ropes that have never been used, I'll become as weak as any other man."

12. 들릴라가 새 줄을 취하고 그것으로 그를 결박하고 그에게 이르되 삼손이여 블레셋 사람이 당신에게 미쳤느니라 하니 삼손이 팔 위의 줄 끊기를 실을 끊음같이 하였고 그 때에도 사람이 내실에 매복하였었더라
  So Delilah took new ropes and tied him with them. Then, with men hidden in the room, she called to him, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!" But he snapped the ropes off his arms as if they were threads.

13. 들릴라가 삼손에게 이르되 당신이 이 때까지 나를 희롱하여 내게 거짓말을 하였도다 내가 무엇으로 하면 당신을 결박할 수 있을는지 내게 말하라 삼손이 그에게 이르되 그대가 만일 나의 머리털 일곱 가닥을 위선에 섞어 짜면 되리라
  Delilah then said to Samson, "Until now, you have been making a fool of me and lying to me. Tell me how you can be tied." He replied, "If you weave the seven braids of my head into the fabric on the loom and tighten it with the pin, I'll become as weak as any other man." So while he was sleeping, Delilah took the seven braids of his head, wove them into the fabric

14. 들릴라가 바디로 그 머리털을 단단히 짜고 그에게 이르되 삼손이여 블레셋 사람이 당신에게 미쳤느니라 하니 삼손이 잠을 깨어 직조틀의 바디와 위선을 다 빼어내니라
  and tightened it with the pin. Again she called to him, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!" He awoke from his sleep and pulled up the pin and the loom, with the fabric.

15. 들릴라가 삼손에게 이르되 당신의 마음이 내게 있지 아니하면서 당신이 어찌 나를 사랑한다 하느뇨 당신이 이 세번 나를 희롱하고 당신의 큰 힘이 무엇으로 말미암아 있는 것을 내게 말하지 아니하였도다 하며
  Then she said to him, "How can you say, 'I love you,' when you won't confide in me? This is the third time you have made a fool of me and haven't told me the secret of your great strength."

16. 날마다 그 말로 그를 재촉하여 조르매 삼손의 마음이 번뇌하여 죽을 지경이라
  With such nagging she prodded him day after day until he was tired to death.

17. 삼손이 진정을 토하여 그에게 이르되 내 머리에는 삭도를 대지 아니하였나니 이는 내가 모태에서 하나님의 나실인이 되었음이라 만일 내 머리가 밀리우면 내 힘이 내게서 떠나고 나는 약하여져서 다른 사람과 같으리라
  So he told her everything. "No razor has ever been used on my head," he said, "because I have been a Nazirite set apart to God since birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man."

18. 들릴라가 삼손의 진정을 다 토함을 보고 보내어 블레셋 사람의 방백들을 불러 가로되 삼손이 내게 진정을 토하였으니 이제 한번만 올라오라 블레셋 방백들이 손에 은을 가지고 여인에게로 올라오니라
  When Delilah saw that he had told her everything, she sent word to the rulers of the Philistines, "Come back once more; he has told me everything." So the rulers of the Philistines returned with the silver in their hands.

19. 들릴라가 삼손으로 자기 무릎을 베고 자게 하고 사람을 불러 그 머리털 일곱 가닥을 밀고 괴롭게 하여 본즉 그 힘이 없어졌더라
  Having put him to sleep on her lap, she called a man to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. And his strength left him.

20. 들릴라가 가로되 삼손이여 블레셋 사람이 당신에게 미쳤느니라 하니 삼손이 잠을 깨며 이르기를 내가 전과 같이 나가서 몸을 떨치리라 하여도 여호와께서 이미 자기를 떠나신 줄을 깨닫지 못하였더라
  Then she called, "Samson, the Philistines are upon you!" He awoke from his sleep and thought, "I'll go out as before and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had left him.

21. 블레셋 사람이 그를 잡아 그 눈을 빼고 끌고 가사에 내려가 놋줄로 매고 그로 옥중에서 맷돌을 돌리게 하였더라
  Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding in the prison.

22. 그의 머리털이 밀리운 후에 다시 자라기 시작하니라
  But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.

23. 블레셋 사람의 방백이 가로되 우리의 신이 우리 원수 삼손을 우리 손에 붙였다 하고 다 모여 그 신 다곤에게 큰 제사를 드리고 즐거워하고
  Now the rulers of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, saying, "Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands."

24. 백성들도 삼손을 보았으므로 가로되 우리 토지를 헐고 우리 많은 사람을 죽인 원수를 우리의 신이 우리 손에 붙였다 하고 자기 신을 찬송하며
  When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying, "Our god has delivered our enemy into our hands, the one who laid waste our land and multiplied our slain."

25. 그들의 마음이 즐거울 때에 이르되 삼손을 불러다가 우리를 위하여 재주를 부리게 하자 하고 옥에서 삼손을 불러내매 삼손이 그들을 위하여 재주를 부리니라 그들이 삼손을 두 기둥 사이에 세웠더니
  While they were in high spirits, they shouted, "Bring out Samson to entertain us." So they called Samson out of the prison, and he performed for them. When they stood him among the pillars,

26. 삼손이 자기 손을 붙든 소년에게 이르되 나로 이 집을 버틴 기둥을 찾아서 그것을 의지하게 하라 하니라
  Samson said to the servant who held his hand, "Put me where I can feel the pillars that support the temple, so that I may lean against them."

27. 그 집에는 남녀가 가득하니 블레셋 모든 방백도 거기 있고 지붕에 있는 남녀도 삼천 명 가량이라 다 삼손의 재주 부리는 것을 보더라
  Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform.

28. 삼손이 여호와께 부르짖어 가로되 주 여호와여 구하옵나니 나를 생각하옵소서 하나님이여 구하옵나니 이번만 나로 강하게 하사 블레셋 사람이 나의 두 눈을 뺀 원수를 단번에 갚게 하옵소서 하고
  Then Samson prayed to the LORD, "O Sovereign LORD, remember me. O God, please strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes."

29. 집을 버틴 두 가운데 기둥을 하나는 왼손으로, 하나는 오른손으로 껴 의지하고
  Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other,

30. 가로되 블레셋 사람과 함께 죽기를 원하노라 하고 힘을 다하여 몸을 굽히매 그 집이 곧 무너져 그 안에 있는 모든 방백과 온 백성에게 덮이니 삼손이 죽을 때에 죽인 자가 살았을 때에 죽인 자보다 더욱 많았더라
  Samson said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.

31. 그의 형제와 아비의 온 집이 다 내려가서 그 시체를 취하여 가지고 올라와서 소라와 에스다올 사이 그 아비 마노아의 장지에 장사하니라 삼손이 이스라엘 사사로 이십 년을 지내었더라
  Then his brothers and his father's whole family went down to get him. They brought him back and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led Israel twenty years.

사도행전 20

1. 소요가 그치매 바울이 제자들을 불러 권한 후에 작별하고 떠나 마게도냐로 가니라
  When the uproar had ended, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said good-by and set out for Macedonia.

2. 그 지경으로 다녀가며 여러 말로 제자들에게 권하고 헬라에 이르러
  He traveled through that area, speaking many words of encouragement to the people, and finally arrived in Greece,

3. 거기 석 달을 있다가 배 타고 수리아로 가고자 할 그 때에 유대인들이 자기를 해하려고 공모하므로 마게도냐로 다녀 돌아가기를 작정하니
  where he stayed three months. Because the Jews made a plot against him just as he was about to sail for Syria, he decided to go back through Macedonia.

4. 아시아까지 함께 가는 자는 베뢰아 사람 부로의 아들 소바더와 데살로니가 사람 아리스다고와 세군도와 더베 사람 가이오와 및 디모데와 아시아 사람 두기고와 드로비모라
  He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus from Berea, Aristarchus and Secundus from Thessalonica, Gaius from Derbe, Timothy also, and Tychicus and Trophimus from the province of Asia.

5. 그들은 먼저 가서 드로아에서 우리를 기다리더라
  These men went on ahead and waited for us at Troas.

6. 우리는 무교절 후에 빌립보에서 배로 떠나 닷새 만에 드로아에 있는 그들에게 가서 이레를 머무니라
  But we sailed from Philippi after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and five days later joined the others at Troas, where we stayed seven days.

7. 안식 후 첫날에 우리가 떡을 떼려 하여 모였더니 바울이 이튿날 떠나고자 하여 저희에게 강론할쌔 말을 밤중까지 계속하매
  On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.

8. 우리의 모인 윗다락에 등불을 많이 켰는데
  There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting.

9. 유두고라 하는 청년이 창에 걸터 앉았다가 깊이 졸더니 바울이 강론하기를 더 오래 하매 졸음을 이기지 못하여 삼층누에서 떨어지거늘 일으켜 보니 죽었는지라
  Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead.

10. 바울이 내려가서 그 위에 엎드려 그 몸을 안고 말하되 떠들지 말라 생명이 저에게 있다 하고
  Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "He's alive!"

11. 올라가 떡을 떼어 먹고 오래 동안 곧 날이 새기까지 이야기하고 떠나니라
  Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left.

12. 사람들이 살아난 아이를 데리고 와서 위로를 적지 않게 받았더라
  The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.

13. 우리는 앞서 배를 타고 앗소에서 바울을 태우려고 그리로 행선하니 이는 자기가 도보로 가고자 하여 이렇게 정하여 준 것이라
  We went on ahead to the ship and sailed for Assos, where we were going to take Paul aboard. He had made this arrangement because he was going there on foot.

14. 바울이 앗소에서 우리를 만나니 우리가 배에 올리고 미둘레네에 가서
  When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and went on to Mitylene.

15. 거기서 떠나 이튿날 기오 앞에 오고 그 이튿날 사모에 들리고 또 그 다음 날 밀레도에 이르니라
  The next day we set sail from there and arrived off Kios. The day after that we crossed over to Samos, and on the following day arrived at Miletus.

16. 바울이 아시아에서 지체치 않기 위하여 에베소를 지나 행선하기로 작정하였으니 이는 될 수 있는 대로 오순절 안에 예루살렘에 이르려고 급히 감이러라
  Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, for he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.

17. 바울이 밀레도에서 사람을 에베소로 보내어 교회 장로들을 청하니
  From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church.

18. 오매 저희에게 말하되 아시아에 들어온 첫날부터 지금까지 내가 항상 너희 가운데서 어떻게 행한 것을 너희도 아는바니
  When they arrived, he said to them: "You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I came into the province of Asia.

19. 곧 모든 겸손과 눈물이며 유대인의 간계를 인하여 당한 시험을 참고 주를 섬긴 것과
  I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, although I was severely tested by the plots of the Jews.

20. 유익한 것은 무엇이든지 공중 앞에서나 각 집에서나 꺼림이 없이 너희에게 전하여 가르치고
  You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

21. 유대인과 헬라인들에게 하나님께 대한 회개와 우리 주 예수 그리스도께 대한 믿음을 증거한 것이라
  I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.

22. 보라 이제 나는 심령에 매임을 받아 예루살렘으로 가는데 저기서 무슨 일을 만날는지 알지 못하노라
  "And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there.

23. 오직 성령이 각 성에서 내게 증거하여 결박과 환난이 나를 기다린다 하시나
  I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.

24. 나의 달려갈 길과 주 예수께 받은 사명 곧 하나님의 은혜의 복음 증거하는 일을 마치려 함에는 나의 생명을 조금도 귀한 것으로 여기지 아니하노라
  However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.

25. 보라 내가 너희 중에 왕래하며 하나님 나라를 전파하였으나 지금은 너희가 다 내 얼굴을 다시 보지 못할 줄 아노라
  "Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again.

26. 그러므로 오늘 너희에게 증거하노니 모든 사람의 피에 대하여 내가 깨끗하니
  Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men.

27. 이는 내가 꺼리지 않고 하나님의 뜻을 다 너희에게 전하였음이라
  For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God.

28. 너희는 자기를 위하여 또는 온 양 떼를 위하여 삼가라 성령이 저들 가운데 너희로 감독자를 삼고 하나님이 자기 피로 사신 교회를 치게 하셨느니라
  Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.

29. 내가 떠난 후에 흉악한 이리가 너희에게 들어와서 그 양 떼를 아끼지 아니하며
  I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.

30. 또한 너희 중에서도 제자들을 끌어 자기를 좇게 하려고 어그러진 말을 하는 사람들이 일어날 줄을 내가 아노니
  Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them.

31. 그러므로 너희가 일깨어 내가 삼 년이나 밤낮 쉬지 않고 눈물로 각 사람을 훈계하던 것을 기억하라
  So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.

32. 지금 내가 너희를 주와 및 그 은혜의 말씀께 부탁하노니 그 말씀이 너희를 능히 든든히 세우사 거룩케 하심을 입은 모든 자 가운데 기업이 있게 하시리라
  "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

33. 내가 아무의 은이나 금이나 의복을 탐하지 아니하였고
  I have not coveted anyone's silver or gold or clothing.

34. 너희 아는 바에 이 손으로 나와 내 동행들의 쓰는 것을 당하여
  You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions.

35. 범사에 너희에게 모본을 보였노니 곧 이같이 수고하여 약한 사람들을 돕고 또 주 예수의 친히 말씀하신바 주는 것이 받는 것보다 복이 있다 하심을 기억하여야 할찌니라
  In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

36. 이 말을 한 후 무릎을 꿇고 저희 모든 사람과 함께 기도하니
  When he had said this, he knelt down with all of them and prayed.

37. 다 크게 울며 바울의 목을 안고 입을 맞추고
  They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him.

38. 다시 그 얼굴을 보지 못하리라 한 말을 인하여 더욱 근심하고 배에까지 그를 전송하니라
  What grieved them most was his statement that they would never see his face again. Then they accompanied him to the ship.

예레미야 29

1. 선지자 예레미야가 예루살렘에서 이같은 편지를 느부갓네살이 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 옮겨간 포로 중 남아 있는 장로들과 제사장들과 선지자들과 모든 백성에게 보내었는데
  This is the text of the letter that the prophet Jeremiah sent from Jerusalem to the surviving elders among the exiles and to the priests, the prophets and all the other people Nebuchadnezzar had carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.

2. 때는 여고니야 왕과 국모와 환관들과 및 유다와 예루살렘 방백들과 목공들과 철공들이 예루살렘에서 떠난 후라
  (This was after King Jehoiachin and the queen mother, the court officials and the leaders of Judah and Jerusalem, the craftsmen and the artisans had gone into exile from Jerusalem.)

3. 유다 왕 시드기야가 바벨론으로 보내어 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게로 가게 한 사반의 아들 엘라사와 힐기야의 아들 그마랴의 손에 위탁하였더라 일렀으되
  He entrusted the letter to Elasah son of Shaphan and to Gemariah son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon. It said:

4. 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님 내가 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 사로잡혀 가게 한 모든 포로에게 이같이 이르노라
  This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says to all those I carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon:

5. 너희는 집을 짓고 거기 거하며 전원을 만들고 그 열매를 먹으라
  "Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.

6. 아내를 취하여 자녀를 생산하며 너희 아들로 아내를 취하며 너희 딸로 남편을 맞아 그들로 자녀를 생산케 하여 너희로 거기서 번성하고 쇠잔하지 않게 하라
  Marry and have sons and daughters; find wives for your sons and give your daughters in marriage, so that they too may have sons and daughters. Increase in number there; do not decrease.

7. 너희는 내가 사로잡혀 가게 한 그 성읍의 평안하기를 힘쓰고 위하여 여호와께 기도하라 이는 그 성이 평안함으로 너희도 평안할 것임이니라
  Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper."

8. 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말하노라 너희 중 선지자들에게와 복술에게 혹하지 말며 너희가 꾼 바 꿈도 신청하지 말라
  Yes, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "Do not let the prophets and diviners among you deceive you. Do not listen to the dreams you encourage them to have.

9. 내가 그들을 보내지 아니하였어도 그들이 내 이름으로 거짓을 예언함이니라 여호와의 말이니라
  They are prophesying lies to you in my name. I have not sent them," declares the LORD.

10. 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 바벨론에서 칠십 년이 차면 내가 너희를 권고하고 나의 선한 말을 너희에게 실행하여 너희를 이 곳으로 돌아오게 하리라
  This is what the LORD says: "When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place.

11. 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희를 향한 나의 생각은 내가 아나니 재앙이 아니라 곧 평안이요 너희 장래에 소망을 주려 하는 생각이라
  For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

12. 너희는 내게 부르짖으며 와서 내게 기도하면 내가 너희를 들을 것이요
  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

13. 너희가 전심으로 나를 찾고 찾으면 나를 만나리라
  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

14. 나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 너희에게 만나지겠고 너희를 포로된 중에서 다시 돌아오게 하되 내가 쫓아 보내었던 열방과 모든 곳에서 모아 사로잡혀 떠나게 하던 본 곳으로 돌아오게 하리라 여호와의 말이니라 하셨느니라
  I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."

15. 너희가 말하기를 여호와께서 바벨론에서 우리를 위하여 선지자들을 일으키셨다 하므로
  You may say, "The LORD has raised up prophets for us in Babylon,"

16. 여호와께서 다윗의 위에 앉은 왕과 이 성에 거하는 모든 백성 곧 너희와 함께 포로되어 가지 아니한 너희 형제에게 대하여 이같이 말씀하시느니라
  but this is what the LORD says about the king who sits on David's throne and all the people who remain in this city, your countrymen who did not go with you into exile--

17. 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 내가 칼과 기근과 염병을 그들에게 보내어 그들로 악하여 먹을 수 없는 악한 무화과 같게 하겠고
  yes, this is what the LORD Almighty says: "I will send the sword, famine and plague against them and I will make them like poor figs that are so bad they cannot be eaten.

18. 내가 칼과 기근과 염병으로 그들을 따르게 하며 그들을 세계 열방 중에 흩어 학대를 당하게 할 것이며 내가 그들을 쫓아 보낸 열방 중에서 저줏거리와 놀램과 치소와 모욕거리가 되게 하리니
  I will pursue them with the sword, famine and plague and will make them abhorrent to all the kingdoms of the earth and an object of cursing and horror, of scorn and reproach, among all the nations where I drive them.

19. 이는 내가 내 종 선지자들을 그들에게 보내되 부지런히 보내었으나 그들이 나 여호와의 말을 듣지 아니하며 듣지 아니함이니라 여호와의 말이니라
  For they have not listened to my words," declares the LORD, "words that I sent to them again and again by my servants the prophets. And you exiles have not listened either," declares the LORD.

20. 그런즉 내가 예루살렘에서 바벨론으로 보낸 너희 모든 포로여 나 여호와의 말을 들을찌니라
  Therefore, hear the word of the LORD, all you exiles whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon.

21. 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님 내가 골라야의 아들 아합과 마아세야의 아들 시드기야에 대하여 말하노라 그들은 내 이름으로 너희에게 거짓을 예언한 자라 보라 내가 그들을 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손에 붙이리니 그가 너희 목전에서 그들을 죽일 것이라
  This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says about Ahab son of Kolaiah and Zedekiah son of Maaseiah, who are prophesying lies to you in my name: "I will hand them over to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he will put them to death before your very eyes.

22. 너희 바벨론에 있는 유다 모든 포로가 그들로 저줏거리를 삼아서 이르기를 여호와께서 너로 바벨론 왕이 불살라 죽인 시드기야와 아합 같게 하시기를 원하노라 하리니
  Because of them, all the exiles from Judah who are in Babylon will use this curse: 'The LORD treat you like Zedekiah and Ahab, whom the king of Babylon burned in the fire.'

23. 이는 그들이 이스라엘 중에서 망령되이 행하여 그 이웃의 아내와 행음하며 내가 그들에게 명하지 아니한 거짓을 내 이름으로 말함이니라 나는 아는 자요 증거인이니라 여호와의 말이니라 하셨다 하였더라
  For they have done outrageous things in Israel; they have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives and in my name have spoken lies, which I did not tell them to do. I know it and am a witness to it," declares the LORD.

24. 너는 느헬람 사람 스마야에게 이같이 말하여 이르라
  Tell Shemaiah the Nehelamite,

25. 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 이같이 말씀하여 가라사대 네가 네 이름으로 예루살렘에 있는 모든 백성과 제사장 마아세야의 아들 스바냐와 모든 제사장에게 글을 보내어 이르기를
  "This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: You sent letters in your own name to all the people in Jerusalem, to Zephaniah son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the other priests. You said to Zephaniah,

26. 여호와께서 너로 제사장 여호야다를 대신하여 제사장을 삼아 여호와의 집 유사로 세우심은 무릇 미친 자와 자칭 선지자를 착고에 채우며 칼을 메우게 하심이어늘
  'The LORD has appointed you priest in place of Jehoiada to be in charge of the house of the LORD; you should put any madman who acts like a prophet into the stocks and neck-irons.

27. 이제 네가 어찌하여 너희 중에 자칭 선지자라 하는 아나돗 사람 예레미야를 책망하지 아니하느냐
  So why have you not reprimanded Jeremiah from Anathoth, who poses as a prophet among you?

28. 대저 그가 바벨론에 있는 우리에게 편지하기를 때가 오래리니 너희는 집을 짓고 거기 거하며 전원을 만들고 그 열매를 먹으라 하였다 하였느니라
  He has sent this message to us in Babylon: It will be a long time. Therefore build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce.'"

29. 제사장 스바냐가 스마야의 글을 선지자 예레미야에게 읽어 들릴 때에
  Zephaniah the priest, however, read the letter to Jeremiah the prophet.

30. 여호와의 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하여 가라사대
  Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:

31. 너는 모든 포로에게 글을 보내어 이르기를 여호와께서 느헬람 사람 스마야에 대하여 이같이 말씀하시되 내가 스마야를 보내지 아니하였거늘 그가 너희에게 예언하고 너희로 거짓을 믿게 하였도다
  "Send this message to all the exiles: 'This is what the LORD says about Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send him, and has led you to believe a lie,

32. 그러므로 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 보라 내가 느헬람 사람 스마야와 그 자손을 벌하리니 그가 나 여호와께 패역한 말을 하였음을 인하여 이 백성 중에 거할 그의 사람이 하나도 없을 것이라 내가 내 백성에게 행하려 하는 선한 일을 그가 보지 못하리라 하셨다 하라 여호와의 말이니라
  this is what the LORD says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good things I will do for my people, declares the LORD, because he has preached rebellion against me.'"

마가복음 15

 

1. 새벽에 대제사장들이 즉시 장로들과 서기관들 곧 온 공회로 더불어 의논하고 예수를 결박하여 끌고 가서 빌라도에게 넘겨 주니
  Very early in the morning, the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin, reached a decision. They bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate.

2. 빌라도가 묻되 네가 유대인의 왕이냐 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 네 말이 옳도다 하시매
  "Are you the king of the Jews?" asked Pilate. "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.

3. 대제사장들이 여러 가지로 고소하는지라
  The chief priests accused him of many things.

4. 빌라도가 또 물어 가로되 아무 대답도 없느냐 저희가 얼마나 많은 것으로 너로 고소하는가 보라 하되
  So again Pilate asked him, "Aren't you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you of."

5. 예수께서 다시 아무 말씀도 대답지 아니하시니 빌라도가 기이히 여기더라
  But Jesus still made no reply, and Pilate was amazed.

6. 명절을 당하면 백성의 구하는 대로 죄수 하나를 놓아 주는 전례가 있더니
  Now it was the custom at the Feast to release a prisoner whom the people requested.

7. 민란을 꾸미고 이 민란에 살인하고 포박된 자 중에 바라바라 하는 자가 있는지라
  A man called Barabbas was in prison with the insurrectionists who had committed murder in the uprising.

8. 무리가 나아가서 전례대로 하여 주기를 구한대
  The crowd came up and asked Pilate to do for them what he usually did.

9. 빌라도가 대답하여 가로되 너희는 내가 유대인의 왕을 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 하니
  "Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?" asked Pilate,

10. 이는 저가 대제사장들이 시기로 예수를 넘겨 준 줄 앎이러라
  knowing it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him.

11. 그러나 대제사장들이 무리를 충동하여 도리어 바라바를 놓아 달라 하게 하니
  But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead.

12. 빌라도가 또 대답하여 가로되 그러면 너희가 유대인의 왕이라 하는 이는 내가 어떻게 하랴
  "What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?" Pilate asked them.

13. 저희가 다시 소리지르되 저를 십자가에 못 박게 하소서
  "Crucify him!" they shouted.

14. 빌라도가 가로되 어찜이뇨 무슨 악한 일을 하였느냐 하니 더욱 소리지르되 십자가에 못 박게 하소서 하는지라
  "Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!"

15. 빌라도가 무리에게 만족을 주고자 하여 바라바는 놓아 주고 예수는 채찍질하고 십자가에 못 박히게 넘겨 주니라
  Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

16. 군병들이 예수를 끌고 브라이도리온이라는 뜰 안으로 들어가서 온 군대를 모으고
  The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers.

17. 예수에게 자색 옷을 입히고 가시 면류관을 엮어 씌우고
  They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him.

18. 예하여 가로되 유대인의 왕이여 평안할찌어다 하고
  And they began to call out to him, "Hail, king of the Jews!"

19. 갈대로 그의 머리를 치며 침을 뱉으며 꿇어 절하더라
  Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him.

20. 희롱을 다한 후 자색 옷을 벗기고 도로 그의 옷을 입히고 십자가에 못 박으려고 끌고 나가니라
  And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.

21. 마침 알렉산더와 루포의 아비인 구레네 사람 시몬이 시골로서 와서 지나가는데 저희가 그를 억지로 같이 가게 하여 예수의 십자가를 지우고
  A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross.

22. 예수를 끌고 골고다라 하는 곳 (번역하면 해골의 곳) 에 이르러
  They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means The Place of the Skull).

23. 몰약을 탄 포도주를 주었으나 예수께서 받지 아니하시니라
  Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh, but he did not take it.

24. 십자가에 못 박고 그 옷을 나눌쌔 누가 어느 것을 얻을까 하여 제비를 뽑더라
  And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get.

25. 때가 제 삼 시가 되어 십자가에 못 박으니라
  It was the third hour when they crucified him.

26. 그 위에 있는 죄패에 유대인의 왕이라 썼고
  The written notice of the charge against him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS.

27. 강도 둘을 예수와 함께 십자가에 못 박으니 하나는 그의 우편에, 하나는 좌편에 있더라
  They crucified two robbers with him, one on his right and one on his left.

29. 지나가는 자들은 자기 머리를 흔들며 예수를 모욕하여 가로되 아하 성전을 헐고 사흘에 짓는 자여
  Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, "So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days,

30. 네가 너를 구원하여 십자가에서 내려오라 하고
  come down from the cross and save yourself!"

31. 그와 같이 대제사장들도 서기관들과 함께 희롱하며 서로 말하되 저가 남은 구원하였으되 자기는 구원할 수 없도다
  In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. "He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself!

32. 이스라엘의 왕 그리스도가 지금 십자가에서 내려와 우리로 보고 믿게 할찌어다 하며 함께 십자가에 못 박힌 자들도 예수를 욕하더라
  Let this Christ, this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe." Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

33. 제 육 시가 되매 온 땅에 어두움이 임하여 제 구 시까지 계속하더니
  At the sixth hour darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour.

34. 제 구시에 예수께서 크게 소리지르시되 엘리 엘리 라마 사박다니 하시니 이를 번역하면 나의하나님 나의 하나님 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까 하는 뜻이라
  And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"--which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

35. 곁에 섰던 자 중 어떤 이들이 듣고 가로되 보라 엘리야를 부른다 하고
  When some of those standing near heard this, they said, "Listen, he's calling Elijah."

36. 한 사람이 달려가서 해융에 신 포도주를 머금게 하여 갈대에 꿰어 마시우고 가로되 가만 두어라 엘리야가 와서 저를 내려 주나 보자 하더라
  One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down," he said.

37. 예수께서 큰 소리를 지르시고 운명하시다
  With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.

38. 이에 성소 휘장이 위로부터 아래까지 찢어져 둘이 되니라
  The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

39. 예수를 향하여 섰던 백부장이 그렇게 운명하심을 보고 가로되 이 사람은 진실로 하나님의 아들이었도다 하더라
  And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!"

40. 멀리서 바라보는 여자들도 있는데 그 중에 막달라 마리아와 또 작은 야고보와 요세의 어머니 마리아와 또 살로메가 있었으니
  Some women were watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.

41. 이들은 예수께서 갈릴리에 계실 때에 좇아 섬기던 자요 또 이 외에도 예수와 함께 예루살렘에 올라온 여자가 많이 있었더라
  In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.

42. 이 날은 예비일 곧 안식일 전날이므로 저물었을 때에
  It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath). So as evening approached,

43. 아리마대 사람 요셉이 와서 당돌히 빌라도에게 들어가 예수의 시체를 달라 하니 이 사람은 존귀한 공회원이요 하나님의 나라를 기다리는 자라
  Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus' body.

44. 빌라도는 예수께서 벌써 죽었을까 하고 이상히 여겨 백부장을 불러 죽은 지 오래냐 묻고
  Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died.

45. 백부장에게 알아본 후에 요셉에게 시체를 내어 주는지라
  When he learned from the centurion that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph.

46. 요셉이 세마포를 사고 예수를 내려다가 이것으로 싸서 바위 속에 판 무덤에 넣어 두고 돌을 굴려 무덤 문에 놓으매
  So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.

47. 때에 막달라 마리아와 요세의 어머니 마리아가 예수 둔 곳을 보더라
  Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where he was laid.
