레위기 27

1. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  The LORD said to Moses,

2. 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 이르라 사람을 여호와께 드리기로 서원하였으면 너는 그 값을 정할찌니
  "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'If anyone makes a special vow to dedicate persons to the LORD by giving equivalent values,

3. 너의 정한 값은 이십 세로 육십 세까지는 남자이면 성소의 세겔대로 은 오십 세겔로 하고
  set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel;

4. 여자이면 그 값을 삼십 세겔로 하며
  and if it is a female, set her value at thirty shekels.

5. 오 세로 이십 세까지는 남자이면 그 값을 이십 세겔로 하고 여자이면 십 세겔로 하며
  If it is a person between the ages of five and twenty, set the value of a male at twenty shekels and of a female at ten shekels.

6. 일 개월로 오 세까지는 남자이면 그 값을 은 오 세겔로 하고 여자이면 그 값을 은 삼 세겔로 하며
  If it is a person between one month and five years, set the value of a male at five shekels of silver and that of a female at three shekels of silver.

7. 육십 세 이상은 남자이면 그 값을 십오 세겔로 하고 여자는 십 세겔로 하라
  If it is a person sixty years old or more, set the value of a male at fifteen shekels and of a female at ten shekels.

8. 그러나 서원자가 가난하여 너의 정가를 감당치 못하겠으면 그를 제사장의 앞으로 데리고 갈 것이요 제사장은 그 값을 정하되 그 서원자의 형세대로 값을 정할찌니라
  If anyone making the vow is too poor to pay the specified amount, he is to present the person to the priest, who will set the value for him according to what the man making the vow can afford.

9. 사람이 예물로 여호와께 드리는 것이 생축이면 서원물로 여호와께 드릴 때는 다 거룩하니
  "'If what he vowed is an animal that is acceptable as an offering to the LORD, such an animal given to the LORD becomes holy.

10. 그것을 변개하여 우열간 바꾸지 못할 것이요 혹 생축으로 생축을 바꾸면 둘 다 거룩할 것이며
  He must not exchange it or substitute a good one for a bad one, or a bad one for a good one; if he should substitute one animal for another, both it and the substitute become holy.

11. 부정하여 여호와께 예물로 드리지 못할 생축이면 그 생축을 제사장 앞으로 끌어갈 것이요
  If what he vowed is a ceremonially unclean animal--one that is not acceptable as an offering to the LORD--the animal must be presented to the priest,

12. 제사장은 그 우열간에 정가할찌니 그 값이 제사장의 정한 대로 될 것이며
  who will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, that is what it will be.

13. 그가 그것을 무르려면 정가에 그 오분 일을 더할찌니라
  If the owner wishes to redeem the animal, he must add a fifth to its value.

14. 사람이 자기 집을 구별하여 여호와께 드리려면 제사장이 그 우열간에 정가할찌니 그 값이 제사장의 정한 대로 될 것이며
  "'If a man dedicates his house as something holy to the LORD, the priest will judge its quality as good or bad. Whatever value the priest then sets, so it will remain.

15. 그 사람이 자기 집을 무르려면 정가한 돈에 그 오분 일을 더할찌니 그리하면 자기 소유가 되리라
  If the man who dedicates his house redeems it, he must add a fifth to its value, and the house will again become his.

16. 사람이 자기 기업된 밭 얼마를 구별하여 여호와께 드리려면 두락수대로 정가하되 보리 한 호멜지기에는 은 오십 세겔로 계산할찌며
  "'If a man dedicates to the LORD part of his family land, its value is to be set according to the amount of seed required for it--fifty shekels of silver to a homer of barley seed.

17. 그가 그 밭을 희년부터 구별하여 드렸으면 그 값을 네가 정한 대로 할 것이요
  If he dedicates his field during the Year of Jubilee, the value that has been set remains.

18. 그 밭을 희년 후에 구별하여 드렸으면 제사장이 다음 희년까지 남은 년수를 따라 그 값을 계산하고 정가에서 그 값에 상당하게 감할 것이며
  But if he dedicates his field after the Jubilee, the priest will determine the value according to the number of years that remain until the next Year of Jubilee, and its set value will be reduced.

19. 밭을 구별하여 드린 자가 그것을 무르려면 정가한 돈에 그 오분일을 더할찌니 그리하면 그것이 자기 소유가 될 것이요
  If the man who dedicates the field wishes to redeem it, he must add a fifth to its value, and the field will again become his.

20. 그가 그 밭을 무르지 아니하려거나 타인에게 팔았으면 다시는 무르지 못하고
  If, however, he does not redeem the field, or if he has sold it to someone else, it can never be redeemed.

21. 희년이 되어서 그 밭이 돌아오게 될 때에는 여호와께 바친 성물이 되어 영영히 드린 땅과 같이 제사장의 기업이 될 것이며
  When the field is released in the Jubilee, it will become holy, like a field devoted to the LORD; it will become the property of the priests.

22. 사람에게 샀고 자기 기업이 아닌 밭을 여호와께 구별하여 드렸으면
  "'If a man dedicates to the LORD a field he has bought, which is not part of his family land,

23. 너는 정가하고 제사장은 그를 위하여 희년까지 계산하고 그는 너의 정가한 돈을 그 날에 여호와께 드려 성물을 삼을찌며
  the priest will determine its value up to the Year of Jubilee, and the man must pay its value on that day as something holy to the LORD.

24. 그 밭은 희년에 판 사람 곧 그 기업의 본주에게로 돌아 갈찌니라
  In the Year of Jubilee the field will revert to the person from whom he bought it, the one whose land it was.

25. 너의 모든 정가를 성소의 세겔대로 하되 이십 게라를 한 세겔로 할찌니라
  Every value is to be set according to the sanctuary shekel, twenty gerahs to the shekel.

26. 오직 생축의 첫새끼는 여호와께 돌릴 첫새끼라 우양을 물론하고 여호와의 것이니 누구든지 그것으로는 구별하여 드리지 못할 것이며
  "'No one, however, may dedicate the firstborn of an animal, since the firstborn already belongs to the LORD; whether an ox or a sheep, it is the LORD'S.

27. 부정한 짐승이면 너의 정가에 그 오분 일을 더하여 속할 것이요 만일 속하지 아니하거든 너의 정가대로 팔찌니라
  If it is one of the unclean animals, he may buy it back at its set value, adding a fifth of the value to it. If he does not redeem it, it is to be sold at its set value.

28. 오직 여호와께 아주 바친 그 물건은 사람이든지 생축이든지 기업의 밭이든지 팔지도 못하고 속하지도 못하나니 바친 것은 다 여호와께 지극히 거룩함이며
  "'But nothing that a man owns and devotes to the LORD--whether man or animal or family land--may be sold or redeemed; everything so devoted is most holy to the LORD.

29. 아주 바친 그 사람은 다시 속하지 못하나니 반드시 죽일찌니라
  "'No person devoted to destruction may be ransomed; he must be put to death.

30. 땅의 십분 일 곧 땅의 곡식이나 나무의 과실이나 그 십분 일은 여호와의 것이니 여호와께 성물이라
  "'A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the LORD; it is holy to the LORD.

31. 사람이 그 십분 일을 속하려면 그것에 그 오분 일을 더할 것이요
  If a man redeems any of his tithe, he must add a fifth of the value to it.

32. 소나 양의 십분 일은 막대기 아래로 통과하는 것의 열째마다 여호와의 거룩한 것이 되리니
  The entire tithe of the herd and flock--every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd's rod--will be holy to the LORD.

33. 그 우열을 교계하거나 바꾸거나 하지 말라 바꾸면 둘 다 거룩하리니 속하지 못하리라
  He must not pick out the good from the bad or make any substitution. If he does make a substitution, both the animal and its substitute become holy and cannot be redeemed.'"

34. 이상은 여호와께서 시내 산에서 이스라엘 자손을 위하여 모세에게 명하신 계명이니라
  These are the commands the LORD gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.

시편 34

1. 내가 여호와를 항상 송축함이여 그를 송축함이 내 입에 계속하리로다
  Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left. I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.

2. 내 영혼이 여호와로 자랑하리니 곤고한 자가 이를 듣고 기뻐하리로다
  My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

3. 나와 함께 여호와를 광대하시다 하며 함께 그 이름을 높이세
  Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.

4. 내가 여호와께 구하매 내게 응답하시고 내 모든 두려움에서 나를 건지셨도다
  I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

5. 저희가 주를 앙망하고 광채를 입었으니 그 얼굴이 영영히 부끄럽지 아니하리로다
  Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

6. 이 곤고한 자가 부르짖으매 여호와께서 들으시고 그 모든 환난에서 구원하셨도다
  This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

7. 여호와의 사자가 주를 경외하는 자를 둘러 진치고 저희를 건지시는도다
  The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

8. 너희는 여호와의 선하심을 맛보아 알찌어다 그에게 피하는 자는 복이 있도다
  Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

9. 너희 성도들아 여호와를 경외하라 저를 경외하는 자에게는 부족함이 없도다
  Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.

10. 젊은 사자는 궁핍하여 주릴찌라도 여호와를 찾는 자는 모든 좋은 것에 부족함이 없으리로다
  The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

11. 너희 소자들아 와서 내게 들으라 내가 여호와를 경외함을 너희에게 가르치리로다
  Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12. 생명을 사모하고 장수하여 복받기를 원하는 사람이 누구뇨
  Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,

13. 네 혀를 악에서 금하며 네 입술을 궤사한 말에서 금할찌어다
  keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.

14. 악을 버리고 선을 행하며 화평을 찾아 따를찌어다
  Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

15. 여호와의 눈은 의인을 향하시고 그 귀는 저희 부르짖음에 기울이시는도다
  The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;

16. 여호와의 얼굴은 행악하는 자를 대하사 저희의 자취를 땅에서 끊으려 하시는도다
  the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

17. 의인이 외치매 여호와께서 들으시고 저희의 모든 환난에서 건지셨도다
  The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

18. 여호와는 마음이 상한 자에게 가까이 하시고 중심에 통회하는 자를 구원하시는도다
  The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19. 의인은 고난이 많으나 여호와께서 그 모든 고난에서 건지시는도다
  A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;

20. 그 모든 뼈를 보호하심이여 그 중에 하나도 꺾이지 아니하도다
  he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

21. 악이 악인을 죽일 것이라 의인을 미워하는 자는 죄를 받으리로다
  Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.

22. 여호와께서 그 종들의 영혼을 구속하시나니 저에게 피하는 자는 다 죄를 받지 아니하리로다
  The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.

■ 혼자 읽기

전도서 10

1. 죽은 파리가 향기름으로 악취가 나게 하는 것같이 적은 우매가 지혜와 존귀로 패하게 하느니라
  As dead flies give perfume a bad smell, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor.

2. 지혜자의 마음은 오른편에 있고 우매자의 마음은 왼편에 있느니라
  The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left.

3. 우매자는 길에 행할 때에도 지혜가 결핍하여 각 사람에게 자기의 우매한 것을 말하느니라
  Even as he walks along the road, the fool lacks sense and shows everyone how stupid he is.

4. 주권자가 네게 분을 일으키거든 너는 네 자리를 떠나지 말라 공순이 큰 허물을 경하게 하느니라
  If a ruler's anger rises against you, do not leave your post; calmness can lay great errors to rest.

5. 내가 해 아래서 한 가지 폐단 곧 주권자에게서 나는 허물인 듯한 것을 보았노니
  There is an evil I have seen under the sun, the sort of error that arises from a ruler:

6. 우매자가 크게 높은 지위를 얻고 부자가 낮은 지위에 앉는도다
  Fools are put in many high positions, while the rich occupy the low ones.

7. 또 보았노니 종들은 말을 타고 방백들은 종처럼 땅에 걸어 다니는도다
  I have seen slaves on horseback, while princes go on foot like slaves.

8. 함정을 파는 자는 거기 빠질 것이요 담을 허는 자는 뱀에게 물리리라
  Whoever digs a pit may fall into it; whoever breaks through a wall may be bitten by a snake.

9. 돌을 떠내는 자는 그로 인하여 상할 것이요 나무를 쪼개는 자는 그로 인하여 위험을 당하리라
  Whoever quarries stones may be injured by them; whoever splits logs may be endangered by them.

10. 무딘 철 연장 날을 갈지 아니하면 힘이 더 드느니라 오직 지혜는 성공하기에 유익하니라
  If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but skill will bring success.

11. 방술을 베풀기 전에 뱀에게 물렸으면 술객은 무용하니라
  If a snake bites before it is charmed, there is no profit for the charmer.

12. 지혜자의 입의 말은 은혜로우나 우매자의 입술은 자기를 삼키나니
  Words from a wise man's mouth are gracious, but a fool is consumed by his own lips.

13. 그 입의 말의 시작은 우매요 끝은 광패니라
  At the beginning his words are folly; at the end they are wicked madness--

14. 우매자는 말을 많이 하거니와 사람이 장래 일을 알지 못하나니 신후사를 알게 할 자가 누구이냐
  and the fool multiplies words. No one knows what is coming--who can tell him what will happen after him?

15. 우매자들의 수고는 제각기 곤하게 할 뿐이라 저희는 성읍에 들어갈 줄도 알지 못함이니라
  A fool's work wearies him; he does not know the way to town.

16. 왕은 어리고 대신들은 아침에 연락하는 이 나라여 화가 있도다
  Woe to you, O land whose king was a servant and whose princes feast in the morning.

17. 왕은 귀족의 아들이요 대신들은 취하려 함이 아니라 기력을 보하려고 마땅한 때에 먹는 이 나라여 복이 있도다
  Blessed are you, O land whose king is of noble birth and whose princes eat at a proper time--for strength and not for drunkenness.

18. 게으른즉 석가래가 퇴락하고 손이 풀어진즉 집이 새느니라
  If a man is lazy, the rafters sag; if his hands are idle, the house leaks.

19. 잔치는 희락을 위하여 베푸는 것이요 포도주는 생명을 기쁘게 하는 것이나 돈은 범사에 응용되느니라
  A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes life merry, but money is the answer for everything.

20. 심중에라도 왕을 저주하지 말며 침방에서라도 부자를 저주하지 말라 공중의 새가 그 소리를 전하고 날짐승이 그 일을 전파할 것임이니라
  Do not revile the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich in your bedroom, because a bird of the air may carry your words, and a bird on the wing may report what you say.

디도서 2

1. 오직 너는 바른 교훈에 합한 것을 말하여
  You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.

2. 늙은 남자로는 절제하며 경건하며 근신하며 믿음과 사랑과 인내함에 온전케 하고
  Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.

3. 늙은 여자로는 이와 같이 행실이 거룩하며 참소치 말며 많은 술의 종이 되지 말며 선한 것을 가르치는 자들이 되고
  Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.

4. 저들로 젊은 여자들을 교훈하되 그 남편과 자녀를 사랑하며
  Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,

5. 근신하며 순전하며 집안 일을 하며 선하며 자기 남편에게 복종하게 하라 이는 하나님의 말씀이 훼방을 받지 않게 하려 함이니라
  to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

6. 너는 이와 같이 젊은 남자들을 권면하여 근신하게 하되
  Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled.

7. 범사에 네 자신으로 선한 일의 본을 보여 교훈의 부패치 아니함과 경건함과
  In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness

8. 책망할 것이 없는 바른 말을 하게 하라 이는 대적하는 자로 하여금 부끄러워 우리를 악하다 할 것이 없게 하려 함이라
  and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

9. 종들로는 자기 상전들에게 범사에 순종하여 기쁘게 하고 거스려 말하지 말며
  Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them,

10. 떼어 먹지 말고 오직 선한 충성을 다하게 하라 이는 범사에 우리 구주 하나님의 교훈을 빛나게 하려 함이라
  and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.

11. 모든 사람에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 은혜가 나타나
  For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.

12. 우리를 양육하시되 경건치 않은 것과 이 세상 정욕을 다 버리고 근신함과 의로움과 경건함으로 이 세상에 살고
  It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,

13. 복스러운 소망과 우리의 크신 하나님 구주 예수 그리스도의 영광이 나타나심을 기다리게 하셨으니
  while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

14. 그가 우리를 대신하여 자신을 주심은 모든 불법에서 우리를 구속하시고 우리를 깨끗하게 하사 선한 일에 열심하는 친백성이 되게 하려 하심이니라
  who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

15. 너는 이것을 말하고 권면하며 모든 권위로 책망하여 누구에게든지 업신여김을 받지 말라
  These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
