레위기 16

1. 아론의 두 아들이 여호와 앞에 나아가다가 죽은 후에 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하시니라
  The LORD spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron who died when they approached the LORD.

2. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 네 형 아론에게 이르라 성소의 장 안 법궤 위 속죄소 앞에 무시로 들어오지 말아서 사망을 면하라 내가 구름 가운데서 속죄소 위에 나타남이니라
  The LORD said to Moses: "Tell your brother Aaron not to come whenever he chooses into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else he will die, because I appear in the cloud over the atonement cover.

3. 아론이 성소에 들어오려면 수송아지로 속죄 제물을 삼고 수양으로 번제물을 삼고
  "This is how Aaron is to enter the sanctuary area: with a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

4. 거룩한 세마포 속옷을 입으며 세마포 고의를 살에 입고 세마포 띠를 띠며 세마포 관을 쓸찌니 이것들은 거룩한 옷이라 물로 몸을 씻고 입을 것이며
  He is to put on the sacred linen tunic, with linen undergarments next to his body; he is to tie the linen sash around him and put on the linen turban. These are sacred garments; so he must bathe himself with water before he puts them on.

5. 이스라엘 자손의 회중에게서 속죄 제물을 위하여 수염소 둘과 번제물을 위하여 수양 하나를 취할찌니라
  From the Israelite community he is to take two male goats for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

6. 아론은 자기를 위한 속죄제의 수송아지를 드리되 자기와 권속을 위하여 속죄하고
  "Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household.

7. 또 그 두 염소를 취하여 회막문 여호와 앞에 두고
  Then he is to take the two goats and present them before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

8. 두 염소를 위하여 제비 뽑되 한 제비는 여호와를 위하고 한 제비는 아사셀을 위하여 할찌며
  He is to cast lots for the two goats--one lot for the LORD and the other for the scapegoat.

9. 아론은 여호와를 위하여 제비뽑은 염소를 속죄제로 드리고
  Aaron shall bring the goat whose lot falls to the LORD and sacrifice it for a sin offering.

10. 아사셀을 위하여 제비 뽑은 염소는 산대로 여호와 앞에 두었다가 그것으로 속죄하고 아사셀을 위하여 광야로 보낼찌니라
  But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the LORD to be used for making atonement by sending it into the desert as a scapegoat.

11. 아론은 자기를 위한 속죄제의 수송아지를 드리되 자기와 권속을 위하여 속죄하고 자기를 위한 그 속죄제 수송아지를 잡고
  "Aaron shall bring the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household, and he is to slaughter the bull for his own sin offering.

12. 향로를 취하여 여호와 앞 단 위에서 피운 불을 그것에 채우고 또 두 손에 곱게 간 향기로운 향을 채워 가지고 장 안에 들어가서
  He is to take a censer full of burning coals from the altar before the LORD and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense and take them behind the curtain.

13. 여호와 앞에서 분향하여 향연으로 증거궤 위 속죄소를 가리우게 할찌니 그리하면 그가 죽음을 면할 것이며
  He is to put the incense on the fire before the LORD, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover above the Testimony, so that he will not die.

14. 그는 또 수송아지의 피를 취하여 손가락으로 속죄소 동편에 뿌리고 또 손가락으로 그 피를 속죄소 앞에 일곱 번 뿌릴 것이며
  He is to take some of the bull's blood and with his finger sprinkle it on the front of the atonement cover; then he shall sprinkle some of it with his finger seven times before the atonement cover.

15. 또 백성을 위한 속죄제 염소를 잡아 그 피를 가지고 장 안에 들어가서 그 수송아지 피로 행함 같이 그 피로 행하여 속죄소 위와 속죄소 앞에 뿌릴찌니
  "He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people and take its blood behind the curtain and do with it as he did with the bull's blood: He shall sprinkle it on the atonement cover and in front of it.

16. 곧 이스라엘 자손의 부정과 그 범한 모든 죄를 인하여 지성소를 위하여 속죄하고 또 그들의 부정한 중에 있는 회막을 위하여 그같이 할 것이요
  In this way he will make atonement for the Most Holy Place because of the uncleanness and rebellion of the Israelites, whatever their sins have been. He is to do the same for the Tent of Meeting, which is among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

17. 그가 지성소에 속죄하러 들어가서 자기와 그 권속과 이스라엘 온 회중을 위하여 속죄하고 나오기까지는 누구든지 회막에 있지 못할 것이며
  No one is to be in the Tent of Meeting from the time Aaron goes in to make atonement in the Most Holy Place until he comes out, having made atonement for himself, his household and the whole community of Israel.

18. 그는 여호와 앞 단으로 나와서 그것을 위하여 속죄할찌니 곧 그 수송아지의 피와 염소의 피를 취하여 단 귀퉁이 뿔들에 바르고
  "Then he shall come out to the altar that is before the LORD and make atonement for it. He shall take some of the bull's blood and some of the goat's blood and put it on all the horns of the altar.

19. 또 손가락으로 그 피를 그 위에 일곱 번 뿌려 이스라엘 자손의 부정에서 단을 성결케 할 것이요
  He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times to cleanse it and to consecrate it from the uncleanness of the Israelites.

20. 그 지성소와 회막과 단을 위하여 속죄하기를 마친 후에 산 염소를 드리되
  "When Aaron has finished making atonement for the Most Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting and the altar, he shall bring forward the live goat.

21. 아론은 두 손으로 산 염소의 머리에 안수하여 이스라엘 자손의 모든 불의와 그 범한 모든 죄를 고하고 그 죄를 염소의 머리에 두어 미리 정한 사람에게 맡겨 광야로 보낼찌니
  He is to lay both hands on the head of the live goat and confess over it all the wickedness and rebellion of the Israelites--all their sins--and put them on the goat's head. He shall send the goat away into the desert in the care of a man appointed for the task.

22. 염소가 그들의 모든 불의를 지고 무인지경에 이르거든 그는 그 염소를 광야에 놓을찌니라
  The goat will carry on itself all their sins to a solitary place; and the man shall release it in the desert.

23. 아론은 회막에 들어가서 지성소에 들어갈 때에 입었던 세마포 옷을 벗어 거기 두고
  "Then Aaron is to go into the Tent of Meeting and take off the linen garments he put on before he entered the Most Holy Place, and he is to leave them there.

24. 거룩한 곳에서 물로 몸을 씻고 자기 옷을 입고 나와서 자기의 번제와 백성의 번제를 드려 자기와 백성을 위하여 속죄하고
  He shall bathe himself with water in a holy place and put on his regular garments. Then he shall come out and sacrifice the burnt offering for himself and the burnt offering for the people, to make atonement for himself and for the people.

25. 속죄제 희생의 기름을 단에 불사를 것이요
  He shall also burn the fat of the sin offering on the altar.

26. 염소를 아사셀에게 보낸 자는 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻은 후에 진에 들어올 것이며
  "The man who releases the goat as a scapegoat must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp.

27. 속죄제 수송아지와 속죄제 염소의 피를 성소로 들여다가 속죄하였은즉 그 가죽과 고기와 똥을 밖으로 내어다가 불사를 것이요
  The bull and the goat for the sin offerings, whose blood was brought into the Most Holy Place to make atonement, must be taken outside the camp; their hides, flesh and offal are to be burned up.

28. 불사른 자는 옷을 빨고 물로 몸을 씻은 후에 진에 들어올지니라
  The man who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water; afterward he may come into the camp.

29. 너희는 영원히 이 규례를 지킬지니라 칠월 곧 그 달 십일에 너희는 스스로 괴롭게 하고 아무 일도 하지 말되 본토인이든지 너희 중에 우거하는 객이든지 그리하라
  "This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves and not do any work--whether native-born or an alien living among you--

30. 이 날에 너희를 위하여 속죄하여 너희로 정결케 하리니 너희 모든 죄에서 너희가 여호와 앞에 정결하리라
  because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the LORD, you will be clean from all your sins.

31. 이는 너희에게 큰 안식일인즉 너희는 스스로 괴롭게 할지니 영원히 지킬 규례라
  It is a sabbath of rest, and you must deny yourselves; it is a lasting ordinance.

32. 그 기름 부음을 받고 위임되어 그 아비를 대신하여 제사장의 직분을 행하는 제사장은 속죄하되 세마포 옷 곧 성의를 입고
  The priest who is anointed and ordained to succeed his father as high priest is to make atonement. He is to put on the sacred linen garments

33. 지성소를 위하여 속죄하며 회막과 단을 위하여 속죄하고 또 제사장들과 백성의 회중을 위하여 속죄할지니
  and make atonement for the Most Holy Place, for the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and for the priests and all the people of the community.

34. 이는 너희의 영원히 지킬 규례라 이스라엘 자손의 모든 죄를 위하여 일년 일차 속죄할 것이니라 아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 행하니라
  "This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites." And it was done, as the LORD commanded Moses.

시편 19

1. 하늘이 하나님의 영광을 선포하고 궁창이 그 손으로 하신 일을 나타내는도다
  For the director of music. A psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

2. 날은 날에게 말하고 밤은 밤에게 지식을 전하니
  Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.

3. 언어가 없고 들리는 소리도 없으나
  There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.

4. 그 소리가 온 땅에 통하고 그 말씀이 세계 끝까지 이르도다 하나님이 해를 위하여 하늘에 장막을 베푸셨도다
  Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun,

5. 해는 그 방에서 나오는 신랑과 같고 그 길을 달리기 기뻐하는 장사 같아서
  which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.

6. 하늘 이 끝에서 나와서 하늘 저 끝까지 운행함이여 그 온기에서 피하여 숨은 자 없도다
  It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from its heat.

7. 여호와의 율법은 완전하여 영혼을 소성케 하고 여호와의 증거는 확실하여 우둔한 자로 지혜롭게 하며
  The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

8. 여호와의 교훈은 정직하여 마음을 기쁘게 하고 여호와의 계명은 순결하여 눈을 밝게 하도다
  The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

9. 여호와를 경외하는 도는 정결하여 영원까지 이르고 여호와의 규례는 확실하여 다 의로우니
  The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the LORD are sure and altogether righteous.

10. 금 곧 많은 정금보다 더 사모할 것이며 꿀과 송이꿀보다 더 달도다
  They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.

11. 또 주의 종이 이로 경계를 받고 이를 지킴으로 상이 크니이다
  By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

12. 자기 허물을 능히 깨달을 자 누구리요 나를 숨은 허물에서 벗어나게 하소서
  Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults.

13. 또 주의 종으로 고범죄를 짓지 말게 하사 그 죄가 나를 주장치 못하게 하소서 그리하시면 내가 정직하여 큰 죄과에서 벗어나겠나이다
  Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression.

14. 나의 반석이시요 나의 구속자이신 여호와여 내 입의 말과 마음의 묵상이 주의 앞에 열납되기를 원하나이다
  May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

잠언 30

1. 이 말씀은 야게의 아들 아굴의 잠언이니 그가 이디엘과 우갈에게 이른 것이니라
  The sayings of Agur son of Jakeh--an oracle: This man declared to Ithiel, to Ithiel and to Ucal:

2. 나는 다른 사람에게 비하면 짐승이라 내게는 사람의 총명이 있지 아니하니라
  "I am the most ignorant of men; I do not have a man's understanding.

3. 나는 지혜를 배우지 못하였고 또 거룩하신 자를 아는 지식이 없거니와
  I have not learned wisdom, nor have I knowledge of the Holy One.

4. 하늘에 올라갔다가 내려온 자가 누구인지, 바람을 그 장중에 모은 자가 누구인지, 물을 옷에 싼 자가 누구인지, 땅의 모든 끝을 정한 자가 누구인지, 그 이름이 무엇인지, 그 아들의 이름이 무엇인지 너는 아느냐
  Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and the name of his son? Tell me if you know!

5. 하나님의 말씀은 다 순전하며 하나님은 그를 의지하는 자의 방패시니라
  "Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

6. 너는 그 말씀에 더하지 말라 그가 너를 책망하시겠고 너는 거짓말하는 자가 될까 두려우니라
  Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

7. 내가 두 가지 일을 주께 구하였사오니 나의 죽기 전에 주시옵소서
  "Two things I ask of you, O LORD; do not refuse me before I die:

8. 곧 허탄과 거짓말을 내게서 멀리 하옵시며 나로 가난하게도 마옵시고 부하게도 마옵시고 오직 필요한 양식으로 내게 먹이시옵소서
  Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.

9. 혹 내가 배불러서 하나님을 모른다 여호와가 누구냐 할까 하오며 혹 내가 가난하여 도적질하고 내 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 할까 두려워함이니이다
  Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the LORD?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

10. 너는 종을 그 상전에게 훼방하지 말라 그가 너를 저주하겠고 너는 죄책을 당할까 두려우니라
  "Do not slander a servant to his master, or he will curse you, and you will pay for it.

11. 아비를 저주하며 어미를 축복하지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라
  "There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers;

12. 스스로 깨끗한 자로 여기면서 오히려 그 더러운 것을 씻지 아니하는 무리가 있느니라
  those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth;

13. 눈이 심히 높으며 그 눈꺼풀이 높이 들린 무리가 있느니라
  those whose eyes are ever so haughty, whose glances are so disdainful;

14. 앞니는 장검 같고 어금니는 군도 같아서 가난한 자를 땅에서 삼키며 궁핍한 자를 사람 중에서 삼키는 무리가 있느니라
  those whose teeth are swords and whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor from the earth, the needy from among mankind.

15. 거머리에게는 두 딸이 있어 다고 다고 하느니라 족한 줄을 알지 못하여 족하다 하지 아니하는 것 서넛이 있나니
  "The leech has two daughters. 'Give! Give!' they cry. "There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, 'Enough!':

16. 곧 음부와 아이 배지 못하는 태와 물로 채울 수 없는 땅과 족하다 하지 아니하는 불이니라
  the grave, the barren womb, land, which is never satisfied with water, and fire, which never says, 'Enough!'

17. 아비를 조롱하며 어미 순종하기를 싫어하는 자의 눈은 골짜기의 까마귀에게 쪼이고 독수리 새끼에게 먹히리라
  "The eye that mocks a father, that scorns obedience to a mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.

18. 내가 심히 기이히 여기고도 깨닫지 못하는 것 서넛이 있나니
  "There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand:

19. 곧 공중에 날아다니는 독수리의 자취와 반석 위로 기어다니는 뱀의 자취와 바다로 지나다니는 배의 자취와 남자가 여자와 함께한 자취며
  the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a snake on a rock, the way of a ship on the high seas, and the way of a man with a maiden.

20. 음녀의 자취도 그러하니라 그가 먹고 그 입을 씻음같이 말하기를 내가 악을 행치 아니하였다 하느니라
  "This is the way of an adulteress: She eats and wipes her mouth and says, 'I've done nothing wrong.'

21. 세상을 진동시키며 세상으로 견딜 수 없게 하는 것 서넛이 있나니
  "Under three things the earth trembles, under four it cannot bear up:

22. 곧 종이 임금 된 것과 미련한 자가 배부른 것과
  a servant who becomes king, a fool who is full of food,

23. 꺼림을 받는 계집이 시집간 것과 계집종이 주모를 이은 것이니라
  an unloved woman who is married, and a maidservant who displaces her mistress.

24. 땅에 작고도 가장 지혜로운 것 넷이 있나니
  "Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise:

25. 곧 힘이 없는 종류로되 먹을 것을 여름에 예비하는 개미와
  Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer;

26. 약한 종류로되 집을 바위 사이에 짓는 사반과
  coneys are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags;

27. 임군이 없으되 다 떼를 지어 나아가는 메뚜기와
  locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks;

28. 손에 잡힐만 하여도 왕궁에 있는 도마뱀이니라
  a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings' palaces.

29. 잘 걸으며 위풍 있게 다니는 것 서넛이 있나니
  "There are three things that are stately in their stride, four that move with stately bearing:

30. 곧 짐승 중에 가장 강하여 아무 짐승 앞에서도 물러가지 아니하는 사자와
  a lion, mighty among beasts, who retreats before nothing;

31. 사냥개와 수염소와 및 당할 수 없는 왕이니라
  a strutting rooster, a he-goat, and a king with his army around him.

32. 만일 네가 미련하여 스스로 높은 체하였거나 혹 악한 일을 도모하였거든 네 손으로 입을 막으라
  "If you have played the fool and exalted yourself, or if you have planned evil, clap your hand over your mouth!

33. 대저 젖을 저으면 뻐터가 되고 코를 비틀면 피가 나는 것 같이 노를 격동하면 다툼이 남이니라
  For as churning the milk produces butter, and as twisting the nose produces blood, so stirring up anger produces strife."

디모데전서 1

1. 우리 구주 하나님과 우리 소망이신 그리스도 예수의 명령을 따라 그리스도 예수의 사도 된 바울은
  Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

2. 믿음 안에서 참 아들 된 디모데에게 편지하노니 하나님 아버지와 그리스도 예수 우리 주께로부터 은혜와 긍휼과 평강이 네게 있을찌어다
  To Timothy my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

3. 내가 마게도냐로 갈 때에 너를 권하여 에베소에 머물라 한 것은 어떤 사람들을 명하여 다른 교훈을 가르치지 말며
  As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain men not to teach false doctrines any longer

4. 신화와 끝없는 족보에 착념치 말게 하려 함이라 이런 것은 믿음 안에 있는 하나님의 경륜을 이룸보다 도리어 변론을 내는 것이라
  nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. These promote controversies rather than God's work--which is by faith.

5. 경계의 목적은 청결한 마음과 선한 양심과 거짓이 없는 믿음으로 나는 사랑이거늘
  The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

6. 사람들이 이에서 벗어나 헛된 말에 빠져
  Some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk.

7. 율법의 선생이 되려 하나 자기의 말하는 것이나 자기의 확증하는 것도 깨닫지 못하는도다
  They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

8. 그러나 사람이 율법을 법 있게 쓰면 율법은 선한 것인 줄 우리는 아노라
  We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.

9. 알 것은 이것이니 법은 옳은 사람을 위하여 세운 것이 아니요 오직 불법한 자와 복종치 아니하는 자며 경건치 아니한 자와 죄인이며 거룩하지 아니한 자와 망령된 자며 아비를 치는 자와 어미를 치는 자며 살인하는 자며
  We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,

10. 음행하는 자며 남색하는 자며 사람을 탈취하는 자며 거짓말하는 자며 거짓 맹세하는 자와 기타 바른 교훈을 거스리는 자를 위함이니
  for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine

11. 이 교훈은 내게 맡기신 바 복되신 하나님의 영광의 복음을 좇음이니라
  that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

12. 나를 능하게 하신 그리스도 예수 우리 주께 내가 감사함은 나를 충성되이 여겨 내게 직분을 맡기심이니
  I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service.

13. 내가 전에는 훼방자요 핍박자요 포행자이었으나 도리어 긍휼을 입은 것은 내가 믿지 아니할 때에 알지 못하고 행하였음이라
  Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.

14. 우리 주의 은혜가 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음과 사랑과 함께 넘치도록 풍성하였도다
  The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

15. 미쁘다 모든 사람이 받을 만한 이 말이여 그리스도 예수께서 죄인을 구원하시려고 세상에 임하셨다 하였도다 죄인 중에 내가 괴수니라
  Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners--of whom I am the worst.

16. 그러나 내가 긍휼을 입은 까닭은 예수 그리스도께서 내게 먼저 일절 오래 참으심을 보이사 후에 주를 믿어 영생 얻는 자들에게 본이 되게 하려 하심이니라
  But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.

17. 만세의 왕 곧 썩지 아니하고 보이지 아니하고 홀로 하나이신 하나님께 존귀와 영광이 세세토록 있어지이다 아멘
  Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

18. 아들 디모데야 내가 네게 이 경계로써 명하노니 전에 너를 지도한 예언을 따라 그것으로 선한 싸움을 싸우며
  Timothy, my son, I give you this instruction in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by following them you may fight the good fight,

19. 믿음과 착한 양심을 가지라 어떤 이들이 이 양심을 버렸고 그 믿음에 관하여는 파선하였느니라
  holding on to faith and a good conscience. Some have rejected these and so have shipwrecked their faith.
