레위기 14

1. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  The LORD said to Moses,

2. 문둥 환자의 정결케 되는 날의 규례는 이러하니 곧 그 사람을 제사장에게로 데려갈 것이요
  "These are the regulations for the diseased person at the time of his ceremonial cleansing, when he is brought to the priest:

3. 제사장은 진에서 나가서 진찰할찌니 그 환자에게 있던 문둥병 환처가 나았으면
  The priest is to go outside the camp and examine him. If the person has been healed of his infectious skin disease,

4. 제사장은 그를 위하여 명하여 정한 산 새 두마리와 백향목과 홍색실과 우슬초를 가져오게 하고
  the priest shall order that two live clean birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop be brought for the one to be cleansed.

5. 제사장은 또 명하여 그 새 하나는 흐르는 물 위 질그릇 안에서 잡게 하고
  Then the priest shall order that one of the birds be killed over fresh water in a clay pot.

6. 다른 새는 산대로 취하여 백향목과 홍색실과 우슬초와 함께 가져다가 흐르는 물 위에서 잡은 새 피를 찍어
  He is then to take the live bird and dip it, together with the cedar wood, the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, into the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.

7. 문둥병에서 정결함을 받을 자에게 일곱번 뿌려 정하다 하고 그 산 새는 들에 놓을찌며
  Seven times he shall sprinkle the one to be cleansed of the infectious disease and pronounce him clean. Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields.

8. 정결함을 받는 자는 그 옷을 빨고 모든 털을 밀고 물로 몸을 씻을 것이라 그리하면 정하리니 그 후에 진에 들어올 것이나 자기 장막 밖에 칠 일을 거할 것이요
  "The person to be cleansed must wash his clothes, shave off all his hair and bathe with water; then he will be ceremonially clean. After this he may come into the camp, but he must stay outside his tent for seven days.

9. 칠 일 만에 그 모든 털을 밀되 머리털과 수염과 눈썹을 다 밀고 그 옷을 빨고 몸을 물에 씻을 것이라 그리하면 정하리라
  On the seventh day he must shave off all his hair; he must shave his head, his beard, his eyebrows and the rest of his hair. He must wash his clothes and bathe himself with water, and he will be clean.

10. 제 팔일에 그는 흠 없는 어린 수양 둘과 일년 된 흠 없는 어린 암양 하나와 또 고운 가루 에바 십분 삼에 기름 섞은 소제물과 기름 한 록을 취할 것이요
  "On the eighth day he must bring two male lambs and one ewe lamb a year old, each without defect, along with three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and one log of oil.

11. 정결케 하는 제사장은 정결함을 받을 자와 그 물건들을 회막문 여호와 앞에 두고
  The priest who pronounces him clean shall present both the one to be cleansed and his offerings before the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

12. 어린 수양 하나를 취하여 기름 한 록과 아울러 속건제로 드리되 여호와 앞에 흔들어 요제를 삼고
  "Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and offer it as a guilt offering, along with the log of oil; he shall wave them before the LORD as a wave offering.

13. 그 어린 수양은 거룩한 장소 곧 속죄제와 번제 희생 잡는 곳에서 잡을 것이며 속건 제물은 속죄 제물과 일례로 제사장에게 돌릴찌니 이는 지극히 거룩한 것이니라
  He is to slaughter the lamb in the holy place where the sin offering and the burnt offering are slaughtered. Like the sin offering, the guilt offering belongs to the priest; it is most holy.

14. 제사장은 그 속건제 희생의 피를 취하여 정결함을 받을 자의 우편 귓부리와 우편 손 엄지가락과 우편 발 엄지가락에 바를 것이요
  The priest is to take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

15. 제사장은 또 그 한 록의 기름을 취하여 자기 좌편 손바닥에 따르고
  The priest shall then take some of the log of oil, pour it in the palm of his own left hand,

16. 우편 손가락으로 좌편 손의 기름을 찍어 그 손가락으로 그것을 여호와 앞에 일곱 번 뿌릴 것이요
  dip his right forefinger into the oil in his palm, and with his finger sprinkle some of it before the LORD seven times.

17. 손에 남은 기름은 제사장이 정결함을 받는 자의 우편 귓부리와 우편 손 엄지가락과 우편 발 엄지가락 곧 속건제 희생의 피 위에 바를 것이며
  The priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.

18. 오히려 그 손에 남은 기름은 제사장이 그 정결함을 받는 자의 머리에 바르고 여호와 앞에서 제사장은 그를 위하여 속죄하고
  The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed and make atonement for him before the LORD.

19. 또 제사장은 속죄제를 드려 그 부정함을 인하여 정결함을 받으려는 자를 위하여 속죄하고 그 후에 번제 희생을 잡을 것이요
  "Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from his uncleanness. After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering

20. 제사장은 그 번제와 소제를 단에 드려 그를 위하여 속죄할 것이라 그리하면 그가 정결하리라
  and offer it on the altar, together with the grain offering, and make atonement for him, and he will be clean.

21. 그가 가난하여 이에 힘이 미치지 못하면 그는 흔들어 자기를 속할 속건제를 위하여 어린 수양 하나와 소제를 위하여 고운 가루 에바 십분 일에 기름 섞은 것과 기름 한 록을 취하고
  "If, however, he is poor and cannot afford these, he must take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved to make atonement for him, together with a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, a log of oil,

22. 그 힘이 미치는 대로 산비둘기 둘이나 집비둘기 새끼 둘을 취하되 하나는 속죄제물로, 하나는 번제물로 삼아
  and two doves or two young pigeons, which he can afford, one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering.

23. 제 팔 일에 그 결례를 위하여 그것들을 회막문 여호와 앞 제사장에게로 가져갈 것이요
  "On the eighth day he must bring them for his cleansing to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, before the LORD.

24. 제사장은 속건제 어린 양과 기름 한 록을 취하여 여호와 앞에 흔들어 요제를 삼고
  The priest is to take the lamb for the guilt offering, together with the log of oil, and wave them before the LORD as a wave offering.

25. 속건제의 어린 양을 잡아서 제사장은 그 속건제 희생의 피를 취하여 정결함을 받을 자의 우편 귓부리와 우편 손 엄지가락과 우편 발 엄지가락에 바를 것이요
  He shall slaughter the lamb for the guilt offering and take some of its blood and put it on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

26. 제사장은 그 기름을 자기 좌편 손바닥에 따르고
  The priest is to pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,

27. 우편 손가락으로 좌편 손의 기름을 조금 찍어 여호와 앞에 일곱 번 뿌릴 것이요
  and with his right forefinger sprinkle some of the oil from his palm seven times before the LORD.

28. 그 손의 기름은 제사장이 정결함을 받을 자의 우편 귓부리와 우편 손 엄지가락과 우편 발 엄지가락 곧 속건제 희생의 피를 바른 곳에 바를 것이며
  Some of the oil in his palm he is to put on the same places he put the blood of the guilt offering--on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

29. 또 그 손에 남은 기름은 제사장이 그 정결함을 받는 자의 머리에 발라 여호와 앞에서 그를 위하여 속죄할 것이며
  The rest of the oil in his palm the priest shall put on the head of the one to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the LORD.

30. 그는 힘이 미치는 대로 산비둘기 하나나 집비둘기 새끼 하나를 드리되
  Then he shall sacrifice the doves or the young pigeons, which the person can afford,

31. 곧 그 힘이 미치는 것의 하나는 속죄제로, 하나는 소제와 함께 번제로 드릴 것이요 제사장은 정결함을 받을 자를 위하여 여호와 앞에 속죄할찌니
  one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, together with the grain offering. In this way the priest will make atonement before the LORD on behalf of the one to be cleansed."

32. 문둥병 환자로서 그 결례에 힘이 부족한 자의 규례가 이러하니라
  These are the regulations for anyone who has an infectious skin disease and who cannot afford the regular offerings for his cleansing.

33. 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대
  The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

34. 내가 네게 기업으로 주는 가나안 땅에 너희가 이른 때에 내가 너희 기업의 땅에서 어느 집에 문둥병 색점을 발하게 하거든
  "When you enter the land of Canaan, which I am giving you as your possession, and I put a spreading mildew in a house in that land,

35. 그 집 주인은 제사장에게 와서 고하기를 무슨 색점이 집에 생겼다 할 것이요
  the owner of the house must go and tell the priest, 'I have seen something that looks like mildew in my house.'

36. 제사장은 그 색점을 보러 가기 전에 그 가장집물에 부정을 면케하기 위하여 명하여 그 집을 비게 한 후에 들어가서 그 집을 볼찌니
  The priest is to order the house to be emptied before he goes in to examine the mildew, so that nothing in the house will be pronounced unclean. After this the priest is to go in and inspect the house.

37. 그 색점을 볼 때에 그 집 벽에 푸르거나 붉은 무늬의 색점이 있어 벽보다 우묵하면
  He is to examine the mildew on the walls, and if it has greenish or reddish depressions that appear to be deeper than the surface of the wall,

38. 제사장은 그 집 문으로 나와 그 집을 칠 일 동안 폐쇄하였다가
  the priest shall go out the doorway of the house and close it up for seven days.

39. 칠 일 만에 또 와서 살펴볼 것이요 그 색점이 벽에 퍼졌으면
  On the seventh day the priest shall return to inspect the house. If the mildew has spread on the walls,

40. 그는 명하여 색점 있는 돌을 빼어 성 밖 부정한 곳에 버리게 하고
  he is to order that the contaminated stones be torn out and thrown into an unclean place outside the town.

41. 또 집 안 사면을 긁게 하고 그 긁은 흙을 성 밖 부정한 곳에 쏟아 버리게 할 것이요
  He must have all the inside walls of the house scraped and the material that is scraped off dumped into an unclean place outside the town.

42. 그들은 다른 돌로 그 돌을 대신하며 다른 흙으로 집에 바를찌니라
  Then they are to take other stones to replace these and take new clay and plaster the house.

43. 돌을 빼며 집을 긁고 고쳐 바른 후에 색점이 집에 복발하거든
  "If the mildew reappears in the house after the stones have been torn out and the house scraped and plastered,

44. 제사장은 또 와서 살펴볼 것이요 그 색점이 만일 집에 퍼졌으면 악성 문둥병인즉 이는 부정하니
  the priest is to go and examine it and, if the mildew has spread in the house, it is a destructive mildew; the house is unclean.

45. 그는 그 집을 헐고 돌과 그 재목과 그 집의 모든 흙을 성 밖 부정한 곳으로 내어갈 것이며
  It must be torn down--its stones, timbers and all the plaster--and taken out of the town to an unclean place.

46. 그 집을 폐쇄한 날 동안에 들어가는 자는 저녁까지 부정할 것이요
  "Anyone who goes into the house while it is closed up will be unclean till evening.

47. 그 집에서 자는 자는 그 옷을 빨 것이요 그 집에서 먹는 자도 그 옷을 빨 것이니라
  Anyone who sleeps or eats in the house must wash his clothes.

48. 그 집을 고쳐 바른 후에 제사장이 들어가 살펴보아서 색점이 집에 퍼지지 아니하였으면 이는 색점이 나은 것이니 제사장은 그 집을 정하다 하고
  "But if the priest comes to examine it and the mildew has not spread after the house has been plastered, he shall pronounce the house clean, because the mildew is gone.

49. 그는 그 집을 정결케 하기 위하여 새 두 마리와 백향목과 홍색실과 우슬초를 취하고
  To purify the house he is to take two birds and some cedar wood, scarlet yarn and hyssop.

50. 그 새 하나를 흐르는 물 위 질그릇 안에서 잡고
  He shall kill one of the birds over fresh water in a clay pot.

51. 백향목과 우슬초와 홍색실과 산 새를 가져다가 잡은 새의 피와 흐르는 물을 찍어 그 집에 일곱 번 뿌릴 것이요
  Then he is to take the cedar wood, the hyssop, the scarlet yarn and the live bird, dip them into the blood of the dead bird and the fresh water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

52. 그는 새의 피와 흐르는 물과 산 새와 백향목과 우슬초와 홍색실로 집을 정결케 하고
  He shall purify the house with the bird's blood, the fresh water, the live bird, the cedar wood, the hyssop and the scarlet yarn.

53. 그 산 새는 성 밖 들에 놓아 그 집을 위하여 속할 것이라 그리하면 정결하리라
  Then he is to release the live bird in the open fields outside the town. In this way he will make atonement for the house, and it will be clean."

54. 이는 각종 문둥병 환처에 대한 규례니 곧 옴과
  These are the regulations for any infectious skin disease, for an itch,

55. 의복과 가옥의 문둥병과
  for mildew in clothing or in a house,

56. 붓는 것과 피부병과 색점의
  and for a swelling, a rash or a bright spot,

57. 언제는 부정하고 언제는 정함을 가르치는 것이니 문둥병의 규례가 이러하니라
  to determine when something is clean or unclean. These are the regulations for infectious skin diseases and mildew.

시편 17

1. 여호와여 정직함을 들으소서 나의 부르짖음에 주의하소서 거짓되지 않은 입술에서 나오는 내 기도에 귀를 기울이소서
  A prayer of David. Hear, O LORD, my righteous plea; listen to my cry. Give ear to my prayer--it does not rise from deceitful lips.

2. 나의 판단을 주 앞에서 내시며 주의 눈은 공평함을 살피소서
  May my vindication come from you; may your eyes see what is right.

3. 주께서 내 마음을 시험하시고 밤에 나를 권고하시며 나를 감찰하셨으나 흠을 찾지 못하셨으니 내가 결심하고 입으로 범죄치 아니하리이다
  Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.

4. 사람의 행사로 논하면 나는 주의 입술의 말씀을 좇아 스스로 삼가서 강포한 자의 길에 행치 아니하였사오며
  As for the deeds of men--by the word of your lips I have kept myself from the ways of the violent.

5. 나의 걸음이 주의 길을 굳게 지키고 실족지 아니하였나이다
  My steps have held to your paths; my feet have not slipped.

6. 하나님이여 내게 응답하시겠는고로 내가 불렀사오니 귀를 기울여 내 말을 들으소서
  I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer.

7. 주께 피하는 자를 그 일어나 치는 자에게서 오른손으로 구원하시는 주여 주의 기이한 인자를 나타내소서
  Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.

8. 나를 눈동자같이 지키시고 주의 날개 그늘 아래 감추사
  Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings

9. 나를 압제하는 악인과 나를 에워싼 극한 원수에게서 벗어나게 하소서
  from the wicked who assail me, from my mortal enemies who surround me.

10. 저희가 자기 기름에 잠겼으며 그 입으로 교만히 말하나이다
  They close up their callous hearts, and their mouths speak with arrogance.

11. 이제 우리의 걸어가는 것을 저희가 에워싸며 주목하고 땅에 넘어뜨리려 하나이다
  They have tracked me down, they now surround me, with eyes alert, to throw me to the ground.

12. 저는 그 움킨 것을 찢으려 하는 사자 같으며 은밀한 곳에 엎드린 젊은 사자 같으니이다
  They are like a lion hungry for prey, like a great lion crouching in cover.

13. 여호와여 일어나 저를 대항하여 넘어뜨리시고 주의 칼로 악인에게서 나의 영혼을 구원하소서
  Rise up, O LORD, confront them, bring them down; rescue me from the wicked by your sword.

14. 여호와여 금생에서 저희 분깃을 받은 세상 사람에게서 나를 주의 손으로 구하소서 그는 주의 재물로 배를 채우심을 입고 자녀로 만족하고 그 남은 산업을 그 어린아이들에게 유전하는 자니이다
  O LORD, by your hand save me from such men, from men of this world whose reward is in this life. You still the hunger of those you cherish; their sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.

15. 나는 의로운 중에 주의 얼굴을 보리니 깰 때에 주의 형상으로 만족하리이다
  And I--in righteousness I will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness.

잠언 28

1. 악인은 쫓아오는 자가 없어도 도망하나 의인은 사자같이 담대하니라
  The wicked man flees though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

2. 나라는 죄가 있으면 주관자가 많아져도 명철과 지식 있는 사람으로 말미암아 장구하게 되느니라
  When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a man of understanding and knowledge maintains order.

3. 가난한 자를 학대하는 가난한 자는 곡식을 남기지 아니하는 폭우 같으니라
  A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.

4. 율법을 버린 자는 악인을 칭찬하나 율법을 지키는 자는 악인을 대적하느니라
  Those who forsake the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law resist them.

5. 악인은 공의를 깨닫지 못하나 여호와를 찾는 자는 모든 것을 깨닫느니라
  Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully.

6. 성실히 행하는 가난한 자는 사곡히 행하는 부자보다 나으니라
  Better a poor man whose walk is blameless than a rich man whose ways are perverse.

7. 율법을 지키는 자는 지혜로운 아들이요 탐식자를 사귀는 자는 아비를 욕되게 하는 자니라
  He who keeps the law is a discerning son, but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father.

8. 중한 변리로 자기 재산을 많아지게 하는 것은 가난한 사람 불쌍히 여기는 자를 위하여 그 재산을 저축하는 것이니라
  He who increases his wealth by exorbitant interest amasses it for another, who will be kind to the poor.

9. 사람이 귀를 돌이키고 율법을 듣지 아니하면 그의 기도도 가증하니라
  If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable.

10. 정직한 자를 악한 길로 유인하는 자는 스스로 자기 함정에 빠져도 성실한 자는 복을 얻느니라
  He who leads the upright along an evil path will fall into his own trap, but the blameless will receive a good inheritance.

11. 부자는 자기를 지혜롭게 여겨도 명철한 가난한 자는 그를 살펴 아느니라
  A rich man may be wise in his own eyes, but a poor man who has discernment sees through him.

12. 의인이 득의하면 큰 영화가 있고 악인이 일어나면 사람이 숨느니라
  When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; but when the wicked rise to power, men go into hiding.

13. 자기의 죄를 숨기는 자는 형통치 못하나 죄를 자복하고 버리는 자는 불쌍히 여김을 받으리라
  He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

14. 항상 경외하는 자는 복되거니와 마음을 강퍅하게 하는 자는 재앙에 빠지리라
  Blessed is the man who always fears the LORD, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble.

15. 가난한 백성을 압제하는 악한 관원은 부르짖는 사자와 주린 곰 같으니라
  Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked man ruling over a helpless people.

16. 무지한 치리자는 포학을 크게 행하거니와 탐욕을 미워하는 자는 장수하리라
  A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment, but he who hates ill-gotten gain will enjoy a long life.

17. 사람의 피를 흘린 자는 함정으로 달려갈 것이니 그를 막지 말찌니라
  A man tormented by the guilt of murder will be a fugitive till death; let no one support him.

18. 성실히 행하는 자는 구원을 얻을 것이나 사곡히 행하는 자는 곧 넘어지리라
  He whose walk is blameless is kept safe, but he whose ways are perverse will suddenly fall.

19. 자기의 토지를 경작하는 자는 먹을 것이 많으려니와 방탕을 좇는 자는 궁핍함이 많으리라
  He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty.

20. 충성된 자는 복이 많아도 속히 부하고자 하는 자는 형벌을 면치 못하리라
  A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.

21. 사람의 낯을 보아 주는 것이 좋지 못하고 한 조각 떡을 인하여 범법하는 것도 그러하니라
  To show partiality is not good--yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread.

22. 악한 눈이 있는 자는 재물을 얻기에만 급하고 빈궁이 자기에게로 임할 줄은 알지 못하느니라
  A stingy man is eager to get rich and is unaware that poverty awaits him.

23. 사람을 경책하는 자는 혀로 아첨하는 자보다 나중에 더욱 사랑을 받느니라
  He who rebukes a man will in the end gain more favor than he who has a flattering tongue.

24. 부모의 물건을 도적질하고 죄가 아니라 하는 자는 멸망케 하는 자의 동류니라
  He who robs his father or mother and says, "It's not wrong"--he is partner to him who destroys.

25. 마음이 탐하는 자는 다툼을 일으키나 여호와를 의지하는 자는 풍족하게 되느니라
  A greedy man stirs up dissension, but he who trusts in the LORD will prosper.

26. 자기의 마음을 믿는 자는 미련한 자요 지혜롭게 행하는 자는 구원을 얻을 자니라
  He who trusts in himself is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom is kept safe.

27. 가난한 자를 구제하는 자는 궁핍하지 아니하려니와 못본 체 하는 자에게는 저주가 많으리라
  He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses.

28. 악인이 일어나면 사람이 숨고 그가 멸망하면 의인이 많아지느니라
  When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding; but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive.

데살로니가후서 2

1. 형제들아 우리가 너희에게 구하는 것은 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 강림하심과 우리가 그 앞에 모임에 관하여
  Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers,

2. 혹 영으로나 혹 말로나 혹 우리에게서 받았다 하는 편지로나 주의 날이 이르렀다고 쉬 동심하거나 두려워하거나 하지 아니할 그것이라
  not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.

3. 누가 아무렇게 하여도 너희가 미혹하지 말라 먼저 배도하는 일이 있고 저 불법의 사람 곧 멸망의 아들이 나타나기 전에는 이르지 아니하리니
  Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

4. 저는 대적하는 자라 범사에 일컫는 하나님이나 숭배함을 받는 자 위에 뛰어나 자존하여 하나님 성전에 앉아 자기를 보여 하나님이라 하느니라
  He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5. 내가 너희와 함께 있을 때에 이 일을 너희에게 말한 것을 기억하지 못하느냐
  Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?

6. 저로 하여금 저의 때에 나타나게 하려 하여 막는 것을 지금도 너희가 아나니
  And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.

7. 불법의 비밀이 이미 활동하였으나 지금 막는 자가 있어 그 중에서 옮길 때까지 하리라
  For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.

8. 그 때에 불법한 자가 나타나리니 주 예수께서 그 입의 기운으로 저를 죽이시고 강림하여 나타나심으로 폐하시리라
  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

9. 악한 자의 임함은 사단의 역사를 따라 모든 능력과 표적과 거짓 기적과
  The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,

10. 불의의 모든 속임으로 멸망하는 자들에게 임하리니 이는 저희가 진리의 사랑을 받지 아니하여 구원함을 얻지 못함이니라
  and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

11. 이러므로 하나님이 유혹을 저의 가운데 역사하게 하사 거짓 것을 믿게 하심은
  For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

12. 진리를 믿지 않고 불의를 좋아하는 모든 자로 심판을 받게 하려 하심이니라
  and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

13. 주의 사랑하시는 형제들아 우리가 항상 너희를 위하여 마땅히 하나님께 감사할 것은 하나님이 처음부터 너희를 택하사 성령의 거룩하게 하심과 진리를 믿음으로 구원을 얻게 하심이니
  But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

14. 이를 위하여 우리 복음으로 너희를 부르사 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 영광을 얻게 하려 하심이니라
  He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15. 이러므로 형제들아 굳게 서서 말로나 우리 편지로 가르침을 받은 유전을 지키라
  So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

16. 우리 주 예수 그리스도와 우리를 사랑하시고 영원한 위로와 좋은 소망을 은혜로 주신 하나님 우리 아버지께서
  May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,

17. 너희 마음을 위로하시고 모든 선한 일과 말에 굳게 하시기를 원하노라
  encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
