레위기 9

1. 제 팔 일에 모세가 아론과 그 아들들과 이스라엘 장로들을 불러다가
  On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.

2. 아론에게 이르되 흠 없는 송아지를 속죄제를 위하여 취하고 흠없는 수양을 번제를 위하여 취하여 여호와 앞에 드리고
  He said to Aaron, "Take a bull calf for your sin offering and a ram for your burnt offering, both without defect, and present them before the LORD.

3. 이스라엘 자손에게 고하여 이르기를 너희는 수염소를 속죄제를 위하여 취하고 또 송아지와 어린 양의 일년 되고 흠 없는 것을 번제를 위하여 취하고
  Then say to the Israelites: 'Take a male goat for a sin offering, a calf and a lamb--both a year old and without defect--for a burnt offering,

4. 또 화목제를 위하여 여호와 앞에 드릴 수소와 수양을 취하고 또 기름 섞은 소제물을 가져오라 하라 오늘 여호와께서 너희에게 나타나실 것임이니라 하매
  and an ox and a ram for a fellowship offering to sacrifice before the LORD, together with a grain offering mixed with oil. For today the LORD will appear to you.'"

5. 그들이 모세의 명한 모든 것을 회막 앞으로 가져오고 온 회중이 나아와 여호와 앞에 선지라
  They took the things Moses commanded to the front of the Tent of Meeting, and the entire assembly came near and stood before the LORD.

6. 모세가 가로되 이는 여호와께서 너희에게 하라고 명하신 것이니 여호와의 영광이 너희에게 나타나리라
  Then Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded you to do, so that the glory of the LORD may appear to you."

7. 그가 또 아론에게 이르되 너는 단에 나아가 네 속죄제와 네 번제를 드려서 너를 위하여, 백성을 위하여 속하고 또 백성의 예물을 드려서 그들을 위하여 속하되 무릇 여호와의 명대로 하라
  Moses said to Aaron, "Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering and make atonement for yourself and the people; sacrifice the offering that is for the people and make atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded."

8. 이에 아론이 단에 나아가 자기를 위한 속죄제 송아지를 잡으매
  So Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.

9. 아론의 아들들이 그 피를 아론에게 받들어 주니 아론이 손가락으로 그 피를 찍어 단 뿔들에 바르고 그 피는 단 밑에 쏟고
  His sons brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger into the blood and put it on the horns of the altar; the rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.

10. 그 속죄제 희생의 기름과 콩팥과 간 꺼풀을 단 위에 불사르니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하심과 같았고
  On the altar he burned the fat, the kidneys and the covering of the liver from the sin offering, as the LORD commanded Moses;

11. 그 고기와 가죽은 진 밖에서 불사르니라
  the flesh and the hide he burned up outside the camp.

12. 아론이 또 번제 희생을 잡으매 아론의 아들들이 그 피를 그에게로 가져오니 그가 그 피를 단 주위에 뿌리고
  Then he slaughtered the burnt offering. His sons handed him the blood, and he sprinkled it against the altar on all sides.

13. 그들이 또 번제의 희생 곧 그 각과 머리를 그에게로 가져오매 그가 단 위에 불사르고
  They handed him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.

14. 또 내장과 정갱이는 씻어서 단 윗 번제물 위에 불사르니라
  He washed the inner parts and the legs and burned them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.

15. 그가 또 백성의 예물을 드리되 곧 백성을 위한 속죄제의 염소를 취하여 잡아 전과 같이 죄를 위하여 드리고
  Aaron then brought the offering that was for the people. He took the goat for the people's sin offering and slaughtered it and offered it for a sin offering as he did with the first one.

16. 또 번제 희생을 드리되 규례대로 드리고
  He brought the burnt offering and offered it in the prescribed way.

17. 또 소제를 드리되 그 중에서 한 움큼을 취하여 아침 번제물에 더하여 단 위에 불사르고
  He also brought the grain offering, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning's burnt offering.

18. 또 백성을 위하는 화목제 희생의 수소와 수양을 잡으매 아론의 아들들이 그 피를 그에게로 가져오니 그가 단 주위에 뿌리고
  He slaughtered the ox and the ram as the fellowship offering for the people. His sons handed him the blood, and he sprinkled it against the altar on all sides.

19. 그들이 또 수소와 수양의 기름과 기름진 꼬리와 내장에 덮인 것과 콩팥과 간 꺼풀을 아론에게로 가져다가
  But the fat portions of the ox and the ram--the fat tail, the layer of fat, the kidneys and the covering of the liver--

20. 그 기름을 가슴들 위에 놓으매 아론이 그 기름을 단 위에 불사르고
  these they laid on the breasts, and then Aaron burned the fat on the altar.

21. 가슴들과 우편 뒷다리를 그가 여호와 앞에 요제로 흔드니 모세의 명한 것과 같았더라
  Aaron waved the breasts and the right thigh before the LORD as a wave offering, as Moses commanded.

22. 아론이 백성을 향하여 손을 들어 축복함으로 속죄제와 번제와 화목제를 필하고 내려오니라
  Then Aaron lifted his hands toward the people and blessed them. And having sacrificed the sin offering, the burnt offering and the fellowship offering, he stepped down.

23. 모세와 아론이 회막에 들어갔다가 나와서 백성에게 축복하매 여호와의 영광이 온 백성에게 나타나며
  Moses and Aaron then went into the Tent of Meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.

24. 불이 여호와 앞에서 나와 단 위의 번제물과 기름을 사른지라 온 백성이 이를 보고 소리지르며 엎드렸더라
  Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.

시편 10

1. 여호와여 어찌하여 멀리 서시며 어찌하여 환난 때에 숨으시나이까
  Why, O LORD, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

2. 악한 자가 교만하여 가련한 자를 심히 군박하오니 저희로 자기의 베푼 꾀에 빠지게 하소서
  In his arrogance the wicked man hunts down the weak, who are caught in the schemes he devises.

3. 악인은 그 마음의 소욕을 자랑하며 탐리하는 자는 여호와를 배반하여 멸시하나이다
  He boasts of the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD.

4. 악인은 그 교만한 얼굴로 말하기를 여호와께서 이를 감찰치 아니하신다 하며 그 모든 사상에 하나님이 없다 하나이다
  In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

5. 저의 길은 언제든지 견고하고 주의 심판은 높아서 저의 안력이 미치지 못하오며 저는 그 모든 대적을 멸시하며
  His ways are always prosperous; he is haughty and your laws are far from him; he sneers at all his enemies.

6. 그 마음에 이르기를 나는 요동치 아니하며 대대로 환난을 당치 아니하리라 하나이다
  He says to himself, "Nothing will shake me; I'll always be happy and never have trouble."

7. 그 입에는 저주와 궤휼과 포학이 충만하며 혀 밑에는 잔해와 죄악이 있나이다
  His mouth is full of curses and lies and threats; trouble and evil are under his tongue.

8. 저가 향촌 유벽한 곳에 앉으며 그 은밀한 곳에서 무죄한 자를 죽이며 그 눈은 외로운 자를 엿보나이다
  He lies in wait near the villages; from ambush he murders the innocent, watching in secret for his victims.

9. 사자가 그 굴혈에 엎드림같이 저가 은밀한 곳에 엎드려 가련한 자를 잡으려고 기다리며 자기 그물을 끌어 가련한 자를 잡나이다
  He lies in wait like a lion in cover; he lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.

10. 저가 구푸려 엎드리니 그 강포로 인하여 외로운 자가 넘어지나이다
  His victims are crushed, they collapse; they fall under his strength.

11. 저의 마음에 이르기를 하나님이 잊으셨고 그 얼굴을 가리우셨으니 영원히 보지 아니하시리라 하나이다
  He says to himself, "God has forgotten; he covers his face and never sees."

12. 여호와여 일어나옵소서 하나님이여 손을 드옵소서 가난한 자를 잊지 마옵소서
  Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless.

13. 어찌하여 악인이 하나님을 멸시하여 그 마음에 이르기를 주는 감찰치 아니하리라 하나이까
  Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, "He won't call me to account"?

14. 주께서는 보셨나이다 잔해와 원한을 감찰하시고 주의 손으로 갚으려 하시오니 외로운 자가 주를 의지하나이다 주는 벌써부터 고아를 도우시는 자니이다
  But you, O God, do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.

15. 악인의 팔을 꺾으소서 악한 자의 악을 없기까지 찾으소서
  Break the arm of the wicked and evil man; call him to account for his wickedness that would not be found out.

16. 여호와께서는 영원 무궁토록 왕이시니 열방이 주의 땅에서 멸망하였나이다
  The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land.

17. 여호와여 주는 겸손한 자의 소원을 들으셨으니 저희 마음을 예비하시며 귀를 기울여 들으시고
  You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry,

18. 고아와 압박당하는 자를 위하여 심판하사 세상에 속한 자로 다시는 위협지 못하게 하시리이다
  defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.

■ 혼자 읽기

잠언 24

1. 너는 악인의 형통을 부러워하지 말며 그와 함께 있기도 원하지 말찌어다
  Do not envy wicked men, do not desire their company;

2. 그들의 마음은 강포를 품고 그 입술은 잔해를 말함이니라
  for their hearts plot violence, and their lips talk about making trouble.

3. 집은 지혜로 말미암아 건축되고 명철로 말미암아 견고히 되며
  By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established;

4. 또 방들은 지식으로 말미암아 각종 귀하고 아름다운 보배로 채우게 되느니라
  through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.

5. 지혜 있는 자는 강하고 지식 있는 자는 힘을 더하나니
  A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength;

6. 너는 모략으로 싸우라 승리는 모사가 많음에 있느니라
  for waging war you need guidance, and for victory many advisers.

7. 지혜는 너무 높아서 미련한 자의 미치지 못할 것이므로 그는 성문에서 입을 열지 못하느니라
  Wisdom is too high for a fool; in the assembly at the gate he has nothing to say.

8. 악을 행하기를 꾀하는 자를 일컬어 사특한 자라 하느니라
  He who plots evil will be known as a schemer.

9. 미련한 자의 생각은 죄요 거만한 자는 사람의 미움을 받느니라
  The schemes of folly are sin, and men detest a mocker.

10. 네가 만일 환난 날에 낙담하면 네 힘의 미약함을 보임이니라
  If you falter in times of trouble, how small is your strength!

11. 너는 사망으로 끌려가는 자를 건져 주며 살륙을 당하게 된 자를 구원하지 아니치 말라
  Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

12. 네가 말하기를 나는 그것을 알지 못하였노라 할찌라도 마음을 저울질 하시는 이가 어찌 통찰하지 못하시겠으며 네 영혼을 지키시는 이가 어찌 알지 못하시겠느냐 그가 각 사람의 행위대로 보응하시리라
  If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?

13. 내 아들아 꿀을 먹으라 이것이 좋으니라 송이 꿀을 먹으라 이것이 네 입에 다니라
  Eat honey, my son, for it is good; honey from the comb is sweet to your taste.

14. 지혜가 네 영혼에게 이와 같은 줄을 알라 이것을 얻으면 정녕히 네 장래가 있겠고 네 소망이 끊어지지 아니하리라
  Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

15. 악한 자여 의인의 집을 엿보지 말며 그 쉬는 처소를 헐지 말찌니라
  Do not lie in wait like an outlaw against a righteous man's house, do not raid his dwelling place;

16. 대저 의인은 일곱번 넘어질찌라도 다시 일어나려니와 악인은 재앙으로 인하여 엎드러지느니라
  for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

17. 네 원수가 넘어질 때에 즐거워하지 말며 그가 엎드러질 때에 마음에 기뻐하지 말라
  Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when he stumbles, do not let your heart rejoice,

18. 여호와께서 이것을 보시고 기뻐 아니하사 그 진노를 그에게서 옮기실까 두려우니라
  or the LORD will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from him.

19. 너는 행악자의 득의함을 인하여 분을 품지 말며 악인의 형통을 부러워하지 말라
  Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of the wicked,

20. 대저 행악자는 장래가 없겠고 악인의 등불은 꺼지리라
  for the evil man has no future hope, and the lamp of the wicked will be snuffed out.

21. 내 아들아 여호와와 왕을 경외하고 반역자로 더불어 사귀지 말라
  Fear the LORD and the king, my son, and do not join with the rebellious,

22. 대저 그들의 재앙은 속히 임하리니 이 두 자의 멸망을 누가 알랴
  for those two will send sudden destruction upon them, and who knows what calamities they can bring?

23. 이것도 지혜로운 자의 말씀이라 재판할 때에 낯을 보아 주는 것이 옳지 못하니라
  These also are sayings of the wise: To show partiality in judging is not good:

24. 무릇 악인더러 옳다 하는 자는 백성에게 저주를 받을 것이요 국민에게 미움을 받으려니와
  Whoever says to the guilty, "You are innocent"--peoples will curse him and nations denounce him.

25. 오직 그를 견책하는 자는 기쁨을 얻을 것이요 또 좋은 복을 받으리라
  But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and rich blessing will come upon them.

26. 적당한 말로 대답함은 입맞춤과 같으니라
  An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips.

27. 네 일을 밖에서 다스리며 밭에서 예비하고 그 후에 네 집을 세울찌니라
  Finish your outdoor work and get your fields ready; after that, build your house.

28. 너는 까닭 없이 네 이웃을 쳐서 증인이 되지 말며 네 입술로 속이지 말찌니라
  Do not testify against your neighbor without cause, or use your lips to deceive.

29. 너는 그가 내게 행함 같이 나도 그에게 행하여 그 행한대로 갚겠다 말하지 말찌니라
  Do not say, "I'll do to him as he has done to me; I'll pay that man back for what he did."

30. 내가 증왕에 게으른 자의 밭과 지혜 없는 자의 포도원을 지나며 본즉
  I went past the field of the sluggard, past the vineyard of the man who lacks judgment;

31. 가시덤불이 퍼졌으며 거친 풀이 지면에 덮였고 돌담이 무너졌기로
  thorns had come up everywhere, the ground was covered with weeds, and the stone wall was in ruins.

32. 내가 보고 생각이 깊었고 내가 보고 훈계를 받았었노라
  I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw:

33. 네가 좀더 자자, 좀더 졸자, 손을 모으고 좀더 눕자 하니 네 빈궁이 강도같이 오며
  A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest--

34. 네 곤핍이 군사같이 이르리라
  and poverty will come on you like a bandit and scarcity like an armed man.

데살로니가전서 3

1. 이러므로 우리가 참다 못하여 우리만 아덴에 머물기를 좋게 여겨
  So when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left by ourselves in Athens.

2. 우리 형제 곧 그리스도 복음의 하나님의 일군인 디모데를 보내노니 이는 너희를 굳게 하고 너희 믿음에 대하여 위로함으로
  We sent Timothy, who is our brother and God's fellow worker in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith,

3. 누구든지 이 여러 환난 중에 요동치 않게 하려 함이라 우리로 이것을 당하게 세우신 줄을 너희가 친히 알리라
  so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. You know quite well that we were destined for them.

4. 우리가 너희와 함께 있을 때에 장차 받을 환난을 너희에게 미리 말하였더니 과연 그렇게 된 것을 너희가 아느니라
  In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know.

5. 이러므로 나도 참다 못하여 너희 믿음을 알기 위하여 보내었노니 이는 혹 시험하는 자가 너희를 시험하여 우리 수고를 헛되게 할까 함일러니
  For this reason, when I could stand it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter might have tempted you and our efforts might have been useless.

6. 지금은 디모데가 너희에게로부터 와서 너희 믿음과 사랑의 기쁜 소식을 우리에게 전하고 또 너희가 항상 우리를 잘 생각하여 우리가 너희를 간절히 보고자 함과 같이 너희도 우리를 간절히 보고자 한다 하니
  But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you.

7. 이러므로 형제들아 우리가 모든 궁핍과 환난 가운데서 너희 믿음으로 말미암아 너희에게 위로를 받았노라
  Therefore, brothers, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.

8. 그러므로 너희가 주 안에 굳게 선즉 우리가 이제는 살리라
  For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.

9. 우리가 우리 하나님 앞에서 너희를 인하여 모든 기쁨으로 기뻐하니 너희를 위하여 능히 어떠한 감사함으로 하나님께 보답할꼬
  How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you?

10. 주야로 심히 간구함은 너희 얼굴을 보고 너희 믿음의 부족함을 온전케 하려 함이라
  Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith.

11. 하나님 우리 아버지와 우리 주 예수는 우리 길을 너희에게로 직행하게 하옵시며
  Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you.

12. 또 주께서 우리가 너희를 사랑함과 같이 너희도 피차간과 모든 사람에 대한 사랑이 더욱 많아 넘치게 하사
  May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.

13. 너희 마음을 굳게 하시고 우리 주 예수께서 그의 모든 성도와 함께 강림하실 때에 하나님 우리 아버지 앞에서 거룩함에 흠이 없게 하시기를 원하노라
  May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.
