역대하 30

1. 히스기야가 온 이스라엘과 유다에 보내고 또 에브라임과 므낫세에 편지를 보내어 예루살렘 여호와의 전에 와서 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 위하여 유월절을 지키라 하니라
  Hezekiah sent word to all Israel and Judah and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, inviting them to come to the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel.

2. 왕이 방백들과 예루살렘 온 회중으로 더불어 의논하고 이월에 유월절을 지키려 하였으니
  The king and his officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem decided to celebrate the Passover in the second month.

3. 이는 성결케 한 제사장이 부족하고 백성도 예루살렘에 모이지 못한 고로 그 정한 때에 지킬 수 없었음이라
  They had not been able to celebrate it at the regular time because not enough priests had consecrated themselves and the people had not assembled in Jerusalem.

4. 왕과 온 회중이 이 일을 선히 여기고
  The plan seemed right both to the king and to the whole assembly.

5. 드디어 명을 발하여 브엘세바에서부터 단까지 온 이스라엘에 반포하여 일제히 예루살렘으로 와서 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 유월절을 지키라 하니 이는 기록한 규례대로 오래동안 지키지 못하였음이더라
  They decided to send a proclamation throughout Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, calling the people to come to Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel. It had not been celebrated in large numbers according to what was written.

6. 보발군들이 왕과 방백들의 편지를 받아 가지고 왕의 명을 좇아 온 이스라엘과 유다에 두루 다니며 전하니 일렀으되 이스라엘 자손들아 너희는 아브라함과 이삭과 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께로 돌아오라 그리하면 저가 너희 남은 자 곧 앗수르 왕의 손에서 벗어난 자에게로 돌아오시리라
  At the king's command, couriers went throughout Israel and Judah with letters from the king and from his officials, which read: "People of Israel, return to the LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, that he may return to you who are left, who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria.

7. 너희 열조와 너희 형제같이 하지 말라 저희가 그 열조의 하나님 여호와께 범죄한 고로 여호와께서 멸망에 붙이신 것을 너희가 목도하는 바니라
  Do not be like your fathers and brothers, who were unfaithful to the LORD, the God of their fathers, so that he made them an object of horror, as you see.

8. 그런즉 너희 열조같이 목을 곧게 하지 말고 여호와께 귀순하여 영원히 거룩케 하신 전에 들어가서 너희 하나님 여호와를 섬겨 그 진노가 너희에게서 떠나게 하라
  Do not be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; submit to the LORD. Come to the sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever. Serve the LORD your God, so that his fierce anger will turn away from you.

9. 너희가 만일 여호와께 돌아오면 너희 형제와 너희 자녀가 사로잡은 자에게서 자비를 입어 다시 이 땅으로 돌아오리라 너희 하나님 여호와는 은혜로우시고 자비하신지라 너희가 그에게로 돌아오면 그 얼굴을 너희에게서 돌이키지 아니하시리라 하였더라
  If you return to the LORD, then your brothers and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will come back to this land, for the LORD your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him."

10. 보발군이 에브라임과 므낫세 지방 각 성에 두루 다녀 스불론까지 이르렀으나 사람들이 저희를 조롱하며 비웃었더라
  The couriers went from town to town in Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun, but the people scorned and ridiculed them.

11. 그러나 아셀과 므낫세와 스불론 중에서 몇 사람이 스스로 겸비하여 예루살렘에 이르렀고
  Nevertheless, some men of Asher, Manasseh and Zebulun humbled themselves and went to Jerusalem.

12. 하나님이 또한 유다 사람들을 감동시키사 저희로 왕과 방백들이 여호와의 말씀대로 전한 명령을 일심으로 준행하게 하셨더라
  Also in Judah the hand of God was on the people to give them unity of mind to carry out what the king and his officials had ordered, following the word of the LORD.

13. 이월에 백성이 무교절을 지키려 하여 예루살렘에 많이 모이니 심히 큰 회라
  A very large crowd of people assembled in Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Unleavened Bread in the second month.

14. 무리가 일어나 예루살렘에 있는 제단과 향단들을 모두 제하여 기드론 시내에 던지고
  They removed the altars in Jerusalem and cleared away the incense altars and threw them into the Kidron Valley.

15. 이월 십사일에 유월절 양을 잡으니 제사장과 레위 사람이 부끄러워하여 성결케 하고 번제물을 가지고 여호와의 전에 이르러
  They slaughtered the Passover lamb on the fourteenth day of the second month. The priests and the Levites were ashamed and consecrated themselves and brought burnt offerings to the temple of the LORD.

16. 규례대로 각각 자기 처소에 서고 하나님의 사람 모세의 율법을 좇아 제사장이 레위 사람의 손에서 피를 받아 뿌리니라
  Then they took up their regular positions as prescribed in the Law of Moses the man of God. The priests sprinkled the blood handed to them by the Levites.

17. 회중에 많은 사람이 성결케 하지 못한 고로 레위 사람들이 모든 부정한 사람을 위하여 유월절 양을 잡아 저희로 여호와 앞에서 성결케 하였으나
  Since many in the crowd had not consecrated themselves, the Levites had to kill the Passover lambs for all those who were not ceremonially clean and could not consecrate their lambs to the LORD.

18. 에브라임과 므낫세와 잇사갈과 스불론의 많은 무리는 자기를 깨끗케 하지 아니하고 유월절 양을 먹어 기록한 규례에 어긴지라 히스기야가 위하여 기도하여 가로되 선하신 여호와여 사하옵소서
  Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, "May the LORD, who is good, pardon everyone

19. 결심하고 하나님 곧 그 열조의 하나님 여호와를 구하는 아무 사람이든지 비록 성소의 결례대로 스스로 깨끗케 못하였을찌라도 사하옵소서 하였더니
  who sets his heart on seeking God--the LORD, the God of his fathers--even if he is not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary."

20. 여호와께서 히스기야의 기도를 들으시고 백성을 고치셨더라
  And the LORD heard Hezekiah and healed the people.

21. 예루살렘에 모인 이스라엘 자손이 크게 즐거워하며 칠 일 동안 무교절을 지켰고 레위 사람들과 제사장들은 날마다 여호와를 칭송하며 큰 소리 나는 악기를 울려 여호와를 찬양하였으며
  The Israelites who were present in Jerusalem celebrated the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days with great rejoicing, while the Levites and priests sang to the LORD every day, accompanied by the LORD'S instruments of praise.

22. 히스기야는 여호와를 섬기는 일에 통달한 모든 레위 사람에게 위로하였더라 이와 같이 절기 칠 일 동안에 무리가 먹으며 화목제를 드리고 그 열조의 하나님 여호와께 감사하였더라
  Hezekiah spoke encouragingly to all the Levites, who showed good understanding of the service of the LORD. For the seven days they ate their assigned portion and offered fellowship offerings and praised the LORD, the God of their fathers.

23. 온 회가 다시 칠 일을 지키기로 결의하고 이에 또 칠 일을 즐거이 지켰더라
  The whole assembly then agreed to celebrate the festival seven more days; so for another seven days they celebrated joyfully.

24. 유다 왕 히스기야가 수송아지 일천과 양 칠천을 회중에게 주었고 방백들은 수송아지 일천과 양 일만을 회중에게 주었으며 성결케 한 제사장도 많았는지라
  Hezekiah king of Judah provided a thousand bulls and seven thousand sheep and goats for the assembly, and the officials provided them with a thousand bulls and ten thousand sheep and goats. A great number of priests consecrated themselves.

25. 유다 온 회중과 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 이스라엘에서 온 온 회중과 이스라엘 땅에서 나온 나그네와 유다에 거한 나그네가 다 즐거워하였으므로
  The entire assembly of Judah rejoiced, along with the priests and Levites and all who had assembled from Israel, including the aliens who had come from Israel and those who lived in Judah.

26. 예루살렘에 큰 희락이 있었으니 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 아들 솔로몬 때로부터 이러한 희락이 예루살렘에 없었더라
  There was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem.

27. 그 때에 제사장들과 레위 사람들이 일어나서 백성을 위하여 축복하였으니 그 소리가 들으신 바 되고 그 기도가 여호와의 거룩한 처소 하늘에 상달하였더라
  The priests and the Levites stood to bless the people, and God heard them, for their prayer reached heaven, his holy dwelling place.

요한계시록 16

1. 또 내가 들으니 성전에서 큰 음성이 나서 일곱 천사에게 말하되 너희는 가서 하나님의 진노의 일곱 대접을 땅에 쏟으라 하더라
  Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go, pour out the seven bowls of God's wrath on the earth."

2. 첫째가 가서 그 대접을 땅에 쏟으매 악하고 독한 헌데가 짐승의 표를 받은 사람들과 그 우상에게 경배하는 자들에게 나더라
  The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly and painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped his image.

3. 둘째가 그 대접을 바다에 쏟으매 바다가 곧 죽은 자의 피같이 되니 바다 가운데 모든 생물이 죽더라
  The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead man, and every living thing in the sea died.

4. 세째가 그 대접을 강과 물 근원에 쏟으매 피가 되더라
  The third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.

5. 내가 들으니 물을 차지한 천사가 가로되 전에도 계셨고 시방도 계신 거룩하신 이여 이렇게 심판하시니 의로우시도다
  Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: "You are just in these judgments, you who are and who were, the Holy One, because you have so judged;

6. 저희가 성도들과 선지자들의 피를 흘렸으므로 저희로 피를 마시게 하신 것이 합당하니이다 하더라
  for they have shed the blood of your saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink as they deserve."

7. 또 내가 들으니 제단이 말하기를 그러하다 주 하나님 곧 전능하신 이시여 심판하시는 것이 참되시고 의로우시도다 하더라
  And I heard the altar respond: "Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments."

8. 네째가 그 대접을 해에 쏟으매 해가 권세를 받아 불로 사람들을 태우니
  The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire.

9. 사람들이 크게 태움에 태워진지라 이 재앙들을 행하는 권세를 가지신 하나님의 이름을 훼방하며 또 회개하여 영광을 주께 돌리지 아니하더라
  They were seared by the intense heat and they cursed the name of God, who had control over these plagues, but they refused to repent and glorify him.

10. 또 다섯째가 그 대접을 짐승의 보좌에 쏟으니 그 나라가 곧 어두워지며 사람들이 아파서 자기 혀를 깨물고
  The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony

11. 아픈 것과 종기로 인하여 하늘의 하나님을 훼방하고 저희 행위를 회개치 아니하더라
  and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

12. 또 여섯째가 그 대접을 큰 강 유브라데에 쏟으매 강물이 말라서 동방에서 오는 왕들의 길이 예비되더라
  The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

13. 또 내가 보매 개구리 같은 세 더러운 영이 용의 입과 짐승의 입과 거짓 선지자의 입에서 나오니
  Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14. 저희는 귀신의 영이라 이적을 행하여 온 천하 임금들에게 가서 하나님 곧 전능하신 이의 큰 날에 전쟁을 위하여 그들을 모으더라
  They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.

15. 보라 내가 도적같이 오리니 누구든지 깨어 자기 옷을 지켜 벌거벗고 다니지 아니하며 자기의 부끄러움을 보이지 아니하는 자가 복이 있도다
  "Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."

16. 세 영이 히브리 음으로 아마겟돈이라 하는 곳으로 왕들을 모으더라
  Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.

17. 일곱째가 그 대접을 공기 가운데 쏟으매 큰 음성이 성전에서 보좌로부터 나서 가로되 되었다 하니
  The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the temple came a loud voice from the throne, saying, "It is done!"

18. 번개와 음성들과 뇌성이 있고 또 큰 지진이 있어 어찌 큰지 사람이 땅에 있어 옴으로 이같이 큰 지진이 없었더라
  Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake.

19. 큰 성이 세 갈래로 갈라지고 만국의 성들도 무너지니 큰 성 바벨론이 하나님 앞에 기억하신 바 되어 그의 맹렬한 진노의 포도주 잔을 받으매
  The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.

20. 각 섬도 없어지고 산악도 간데없더라
  Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.

21. 또 중수가 한 달란트나 되는 큰 우박이 하늘로부터 사람들에게 내리매 사람들이 그 박재로 인하여 하나님을 훼방하니 그 재앙이 심히 큼이러라
  From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.

스가랴 12:1-13:1

1. 이스라엘에 관한 여호와의 말씀의 경고라 여호와 곧 하늘을 펴시며 땅의 터를 세우시며 사람 안에 심령을 지으신 자가 가라사대
  This is the word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him, declares:

2. 보라 내가 예루살렘으로 그 사면 국민에게 혼취케 하는 잔이 되게 할 것이라 예루살렘이 에워싸일 때에 유다에까지 미치리라
  "I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem.

3. 그 날에는 내가 예루살렘으로 모든 국민에게 무거운 돌이 되게 하리니 무릇 그것을 드는 자는 크게 상할 것이라 천하 만국이 그것을 치려고 모이리라
  On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.

4. 여호와가 말하노라 그 날에 내가 모든 말을 쳐서 놀라게 하며 그 탄 자를 쳐서 미치게 하되 유다 족속은 내가 돌아보고 모든 국민의 말을 쳐서 눈이 멀게 하리니
  On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness," declares the LORD. "I will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations.

5. 유다의 두목들이 심중에 이르기를 예루살렘 거민이 그들의 하나님 만군의 여호와로 말미암아 힘을 얻었다 할찌라
  Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, 'The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the LORD Almighty is their God.'

6. 그 날에 내가 유다 두목들로 나무 가운데 화로 같게 하며 곡식단 사이에 횃불 같게 하리니 그들이 그 좌우에 에워싼 모든 국민을 사를 것이요 예루살렘 사람은 다시 그 본 곳 예루살렘에 거하게 되리라
  "On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume right and left all the surrounding peoples, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.

7. 여호와가 먼저 유다 장막을 구원하리니 이는 다윗의 집의 영광과 예루살렘 거민의 영광이 유다보다 더하지 못하게 하려 함이니라
  "The LORD will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem's inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah.

8. 그 날에 여호와가 예루살렘 거민을 보호하리니 그 중에 약한 자가 그 날에는 다윗 같겠고 다윗의 족속은 하나님 같고 무리 앞에 있는 여호와의 사자 같을 것이라
  On that day the LORD will shield those who live in Jerusalem, so that the feeblest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the Angel of the LORD going before them.

9. 예루살렘을 치러 오는 열국을 그 날에 내가 멸하기를 힘쓰리라
  On that day I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack Jerusalem.

10. 내가 다윗의 집과 예루살렘 거민에게 은총과 간구하는 심령을 부어 주리니 그들이 그 찌른 바 그를 바라보고 그를 위하여 애통하기를 독자를 위하여 애통하듯 하며 그를 위하여 통곡하기를 장자를 위하여 통곡하듯 하리로다
  "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.

11. 그 날에 예루살렘에 큰 애통이 있으리니 므깃도 골짜기 하다드림몬에 있던 애통과 같을 것이라
  On that day the weeping in Jerusalem will be great, like the weeping of Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.

12. 온 땅 각 족속이 따로 애통하되 다윗의 족속이 따로 하고 그 아내들이 따로 하며 나단의 족속이 따로 하고 그 아내들이 따로 하며
  The land will mourn, each clan by itself, with their wives by themselves: the clan of the house of David and their wives, the clan of the house of Nathan and their wives,

13. 레위의 족속이 따로 하고 그 아내들이 따로 하며 시므이의 족속이 따로 하고 그 아내들이 따로 하며
  the clan of the house of Levi and their wives, the clan of Shimei and their wives,

14. 모든 남은 족속도 각기 따로 하고 그 아내들이 따로 하리라
  and all the rest of the clans and their wives.

1. 그 날에 죄와 더러움을 씻는 샘이 다윗의 족속과 예루살렘 거민을 위하여 열리리라
  "On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity.

요한복음 15

1. 내가 참 포도나무요 내 아버지는 그 농부라
  "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

2. 무릇 내게 있어 과실을 맺지 아니하는 가지는 아버지께서 이를 제해 버리시고 무릇 과실을 맺는 가지는 더 과실을 맺게 하려 하여 이를 깨끗케 하시느니라
  He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

3. 너희는 내가 일러 준 말로 이미 깨끗하였으니
  You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

4. 내 안에 거하라 나도 너희 안에 거하리라 가지가 포도나무에 붙어 있지 아니하면 절로 과실을 맺을 수 없음같이 너희도 내 안에 있지 아니하면 그러하리라
  Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

5. 나는 포도나무요 너희는 가지니 저가 내 안에, 내가 저 안에 있으면 이 사람은 과실을 많이 맺나니 나를 떠나서는 너희가 아무것도 할 수 없음이라
  "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

6. 사람이 내 안에 거하지 아니하면 가지처럼 밖에 버리워 말라지나니 사람들이 이것을 모아다가 불에 던져 사르느니라
  If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

7. 너희가 내 안에 거하고 내 말이 너희 안에 거하면 무엇이든지 원하는 대로 구하라 그리하면 이루리라
  If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

8. 너희가 과실을 많이 맺으면 내 아버지께서 영광을 받으실 것이요 너희가 내 제자가 되리라
  This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

9. 아버지께서 나를 사랑하신 것같이 나도 너희를 사랑하였으니 나의 사랑 안에 거하라
  "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

10. 내가 아버지의 계명을 지켜 그의 사랑 안에 거하는 것같이 너희도 내 계명을 지키면 내 사랑 안에 거하리라
  If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love.

11. 내가 이것을 너희에게 이름은 내 기쁨이 너희 안에 있어 너희 기쁨을 충만하게 하려 함이니라
  I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

12. 내 계명은 곧 내가 너희를 사랑한 것같이 너희도 서로 사랑하라 하는 이것이니라
  My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

13. 사람이 친구를 위하여 자기 목숨을 버리면 이에서 더 큰 사랑이 없나니
  Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

14. 너희가 나의 명하는 대로 행하면 곧 나의 친구라
  You are my friends if you do what I command.

15. 이제부터는 너희를 종이라 하지 아니하리니 종은 주인의 하는 것을 알지 못함이라 너희를 친구라 하였노니 내가 내 아버지께 들은 것을 다 너희에게 알게 하였음이니라
  I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

16. 너희가 나를 택한 것이 아니요 내가 너희를 택하여 세웠나니 이는 너희로 가서 과실을 맺게 하고 또 너희 과실이 항상 있게 하여 내 이름으로 아버지께 무엇을 구하든지 다 받게 하려 함이니라
  You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

17. 내가 이것을 너희에게 명함은 너희로 서로 사랑하게 하려 함이로라
  This is my command: Love each other.

18. 세상이 너희를 미워하면 너희보다 먼저 나를 미워한 줄을 알라
  "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

19. 너희가 세상에 속하였으면 세상이 자기의 것을 사랑할 터이나 너희는 세상에 속한 자가 아니요 도리어 세상에서 나의 택함을 입은 자인 고로 세상이 너희를 미워하느니라
  If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

20. 내가 너희더러 종이 주인보다 더 크지 못하다 한 말을 기억하라 사람들이 나를 핍박하였은즉 너희도 핍박할 터이요 내 말을 지켰은즉 너희 말도 지킬 터이라
  Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

21. 그러나 사람들이 내 이름을 인하여 이 모든 일을 너희에게 하리니 이는 나 보내신 이를 알지 못함이니라
  They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me.

22. 내가 와서 저희에게 말하지 아니하였더면 죄가 없었으려니와 지금은 그 죄를 핑계할 수 없느니라
  If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin.

23. 나를 미워하는 자는 또 내 아버지를 미워하느니라
  He who hates me hates my Father as well.

24. 내가 아무도 못한 일을 저희 중에서 하지 아니하였더면 저희가 죄 없었으려니와 지금은 저희가 나와 및 내 아버지를 보았고 또 미워하였도다
  If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both me and my Father.

25. 그러나 이는 저희 율법에 기록된 바 저희가 연고 없이 나를 미워하였다 한 말을 응하게 하려 함이니라
  But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: 'They hated me without reason.'

26. 내가 아버지께로서 너희에게 보낼 보혜사 곧 아버지께로서 나오시는 진리의 성령이 오실 때에 그가 나를 증거하실 것이요
  "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me.

27. 너희도 처음부터 나와 함께 있었으므로 증거하느니라
  And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.
