역대하 29

1. 히스기야가 위에 나아갈 때에 나이 이십오 세라 예루살렘에서 이십구 년을 치리하니라 그 모친의 이름은 아비야라 스가랴의 딸이더라
  Hezekiah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother's name was Abijah daughter of Zechariah.

2. 히스기야가 그 조상 다윗의 모든 행위와 같이 여호와 보시기에 정직히 행하여
  He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, just as his father David had done.

3. 원년 정월에 여호와의 전 문들을 열고 수리하고
  In the first month of the first year of his reign, he opened the doors of the temple of the LORD and repaired them.

4. 제사장들과 레위 사람들을 동편 광장에 모으고
  He brought in the priests and the Levites, assembled them in the square on the east side

5. 저희에게 이르되 레위 사람들아 내 말을 들으라 이제 너희는 성결케 하고 또 너희 열조의 하나님 여호와의 전을 성결케 하여 그 더러운 것을 성소에서 없이 하라
  and said: "Listen to me, Levites! Consecrate yourselves now and consecrate the temple of the LORD, the God of your fathers. Remove all defilement from the sanctuary.

6. 우리 열조가 범죄하여 우리 하나님 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 하나님을 버리고 얼굴을 돌이켜 여호와의 성소를 등지고
  Our fathers were unfaithful; they did evil in the eyes of the LORD our God and forsook him. They turned their faces away from the LORD'S dwelling place and turned their backs on him.

7. 또 낭실 문을 닫으며 등불을 끄고 성소에서 분향하지 아니하며 이스라엘 하나님께 번제를 드리지 아니한 고로
  They also shut the doors of the portico and put out the lamps. They did not burn incense or present any burnt offerings at the sanctuary to the God of Israel.

8. 여호와께서 유다와 예루살렘을 진노하시고 내어 버리사 두려움과 놀람과 비웃음거리가 되게 하신 것을 너희가 목도하는 바라
  Therefore, the anger of the LORD has fallen on Judah and Jerusalem; he has made them an object of dread and horror and scorn, as you can see with your own eyes.

9. 이로 인하여 우리의 열조가 칼에 엎드러지며 우리의 자녀와 아내가 사로잡혔느니라
  This is why our fathers have fallen by the sword and why our sons and daughters and our wives are in captivity.

10. 이제 이스라엘 하나님 여호와로 더불어 언약을 세워 그 맹렬한 노로 우리에게서 떠나게 할 마음이 내게 있노니
  Now I intend to make a covenant with the LORD, the God of Israel, so that his fierce anger will turn away from us.

11. 내 아들들아 이제는 게으르지 말라 여호와께서 이미 너희를 택하사 그 앞에 서서 수종들어 섬기며 분향하게 하셨느니라
  My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before him and serve him, to minister before him and to burn incense."

12. 이에 레위 사람들이 일어나니 곧 그핫의 자손 중 아마새의 아들 마핫과 아사랴의 아들 요엘과 므라리의 자손 중 압디의 아들 기스와 여할렐렐의 아들 아사랴와 게르손 사람 중 심마의 아들 요아와 요아의 아들 에덴과
  Then these Levites set to work: from the Kohathites, Mahath son of Amasai and Joel son of Azariah; from the Merarites, Kish son of Abdi and Azariah son of Jehallelel; from the Gershonites, Joah son of Zimmah and Eden son of Joah;

13. 엘리사반의 자손 중 시므리와 여우엘과 아삽의 자손 중 스가랴와 맛다냐와
  from the descendants of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeiel; from the descendants of Asaph, Zechariah and Mattaniah;

14. 헤만의 자손 중 여후엘과 시므이와 여두둔의 자손 중 스마야와 웃시엘이라
  from the descendants of Heman, Jehiel and Shimei; from the descendants of Jeduthun, Shemaiah and Uzziel.

15. 저희가 그 형제를 모아 성결케 하고 들어가서 왕이 여호와의 말씀대로 명한것을 좇아 여호와의 전을 깨끗케 할쌔
  When they had assembled their brothers and consecrated themselves, they went in to purify the temple of the LORD, as the king had ordered, following the word of the LORD.

16. 제사장들도 여호와의 전 안에 들어가서 깨끗케 하여 여호와의 전에 있는 모든 더러운 것을 끌어내어 여호와의 전 뜰에 이르매 레위 사람들이 취하여 바깥 기드론 시내로 가져갔더라
  The priests went into the sanctuary of the LORD to purify it. They brought out to the courtyard of the LORD'S temple everything unclean that they found in the temple of the LORD. The Levites took it and carried it out to the Kidron Valley.

17. 정월 초하루에 성결케 하기를 시작하여 그달 초팔일에 여호와의 낭실에 이르고 또 팔일 동안 여호와의 전을 성결케 하여 정월 십 륙 일에 이르러 마치고
  They began the consecration on the first day of the first month, and by the eighth day of the month they reached the portico of the LORD. For eight more days they consecrated the temple of the LORD itself, finishing on the sixteenth day of the first month.

18. 안으로 들어가서 히스기야 왕을 보고 가로되 우리가 여호와의 온 전과 번제단과 그 모든 기구와 떡을 진설하는 상과 그 모든 기구를 깨끗케 하였고
  Then they went in to King Hezekiah and reported: "We have purified the entire temple of the LORD, the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the table for setting out the consecrated bread, with all its articles.

19. 또 아하스 왕이 위에 있어 범죄할 때에 버린 모든 기구도 우리가 정돈하고 성결케 하여 여호와의 단 앞에 두었나이다 하니라
  We have prepared and consecrated all the articles that King Ahaz removed in his unfaithfulness while he was king. They are now in front of the LORD'S altar."

20. 히스기야 왕이 일찌기 일어나 성읍의 귀인들을 모아 여호와의 전에 올라가서
  Early the next morning King Hezekiah gathered the city officials together and went up to the temple of the LORD.

21. 수송아지 일곱과 수양 일곱과 어린 양 일곱과 수염소 일곱을 끌어다가 나라와 성소와 유다를 위하여 속죄 제물을 삼고 아론의 자손 제사장들을 명하여 여호와의 단에 드리게 하니
  They brought seven bulls, seven rams, seven male lambs and seven male goats as a sin offering for the kingdom, for the sanctuary and for Judah. The king commanded the priests, the descendants of Aaron, to offer these on the altar of the LORD.

22. 이에 수소를 잡으매 제사장이 그 피를 받아 단에 뿌리고 또 수양을 잡으매 그 피를 단에 뿌리고 또 어린 양을 잡으매 그 피를 단에 뿌리고
  So they slaughtered the bulls, and the priests took the blood and sprinkled it on the altar; next they slaughtered the rams and sprinkled their blood on the altar; then they slaughtered the lambs and sprinkled their blood on the altar.

23. 이에 속죄 제물로 드릴 수염소를 왕과 회중의 앞으로 끌어 오매 저희가 그 위에 안수하고
  The goats for the sin offering were brought before the king and the assembly, and they laid their hands on them.

24. 제사장이 잡아 그 피로 속죄제를 삼아 단에 드려 온 이스라엘을 위하여 속죄하니 이는 왕이 명하여 온 이스라엘을 위하여 번제와 속죄제를 드리게 하였음이더라
  The priests then slaughtered the goats and presented their blood on the altar for a sin offering to atone for all Israel, because the king had ordered the burnt offering and the sin offering for all Israel.

25. 왕이 레위 사람을 여호와의 전에 두어서 다윗과 왕의 선견자 갓과 선지자 나단의 명한 대로 제금과 비파와 수금을 잡게 하니 이는 여호와께서 그 선지자들로 이렇게 명하셨음이라
  He stationed the Levites in the temple of the LORD with cymbals, harps and lyres in the way prescribed by David and Gad the king's seer and Nathan the prophet; this was commanded by the LORD through his prophets.

26. 레위 사람은 다윗의 악기를 잡고 제사장은 나팔을 잡고 서매
  So the Levites stood ready with David's instruments, and the priests with their trumpets.

27. 히스기야가 명하여 번제를 단에 드릴쌔 번제 드리기를 시작하는 동시에 여호와의 시로 노래하고 나팔을 불며 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 악기를 울리고
  Hezekiah gave the order to sacrifice the burnt offering on the altar. As the offering began, singing to the LORD began also, accompanied by trumpets and the instruments of David king of Israel.

28. 온 회중이 경배하며 노래하는 자들은 노래하고 나팔 부는 자들은 나팔을 불어 번제를 마치기까지 이르니라
  The whole assembly bowed in worship, while the singers sang and the trumpeters played. All this continued until the sacrifice of the burnt offering was completed.

29. 제사드리기를 마치매 왕과 그 함께 있는 자가 다 엎드려 경배하니라
  When the offerings were finished, the king and everyone present with him knelt down and worshiped.

30. 히스기야 왕이 귀인들로 더불어 레위 사람을 명하여 다윗과 선견자 아삽의 시로 여호와를 찬송하게 하매 저희가 즐거움으로 찬송하고 몸을 굽혀 경배하니라
  King Hezekiah and his officials ordered the Levites to praise the LORD with the words of David and of Asaph the seer. So they sang praises with gladness and bowed their heads and worshiped.

31. 이에 히스기야가 일러 가로되 너희가 이제 몸을 깨끗케 하여 여호와께 드렸으니 마땅히 나아와 제물과 감사제물을 여호와의 전으로 가져오라 회중이 드디어 제물과 감사제물을 가져오되 무릇 마음에 원하는 자는 또한 번제물을 가져오니
  Then Hezekiah said, "You have now dedicated yourselves to the LORD. Come and bring sacrifices and thank offerings to the temple of the LORD." So the assembly brought sacrifices and thank offerings, and all whose hearts were willing brought burnt offerings.

32. 회중의 가져온 번제물의 수효는 수소가 칠십이요 수양이 일백이요 어린양이 이백이니 이는 다 여호와께 번제물로 드리는 것이며
  The number of burnt offerings the assembly brought was seventy bulls, a hundred rams and two hundred male lambs--all of them for burnt offerings to the LORD.

33. 또 구별하여 드린 소가 육백이요 양이 삼천이라
  The animals consecrated as sacrifices amounted to six hundred bulls and three thousand sheep and goats.

34. 그런데 제사장이 부족하여 그 모든 번제 짐승의 가죽을 능히 벗기지 못하는 고로 그 형제 레위 사람이 그 일을 마치기까지 돕고 다른 제사장의 성결케 하기까지 기다렸으니 이는 레위 사람의 성결케 함이 제사장들보다 성심이 있었음이라
  The priests, however, were too few to skin all the burnt offerings; so their kinsmen the Levites helped them until the task was finished and until other priests had been consecrated, for the Levites had been more conscientious in consecrating themselves than the priests had been.

35. 번제와 화목제의 기름과 각 번제에 속한 전제가 많더라 이와 같이 여호와의 전에서 섬기는 일이 순서대로 갖추어지니라
  There were burnt offerings in abundance, together with the fat of the fellowship offerings and the drink offerings that accompanied the burnt offerings. So the service of the temple of the LORD was reestablished.

36. 이 일이 갑자기 되었을찌라도 하나님이 백성을 위하여 예비하셨음을 인하여 히스기야가 백성으로 더불어 기뻐하였더라
  Hezekiah and all the people rejoiced at what God had brought about for his people, because it was done so quickly.

요한계시록 15

1. 또 하늘에 크고 이상한 다른 이적을 보매 일곱 천사가 일곱 재앙을 가졌으니 곧 마지막 재앙이라 하나님의 진노가 이것으로 마치리로다
  I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues--last, because with them God's wrath is completed.

2. 또 내가 보니 불이 섞인 유리 바다 같은 것이 있고 짐승과 그의 우상과 그의 이름의 수를 이기고 벗어난 자들이 유리 바다 가에 서서 하나님의 거문고를 가지고
  And I saw what looked like a sea of glass mixed with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and over the number of his name. They held harps given them by God

3. 하나님의 종 모세의 노래, 어린 양의 노래를 불러 가로되 주 하나님 곧 전능하신 이시여 하시는 일이 크고 기이하시도다 만국의 왕이시여 주의 길이 의롭고 참되시도다
  and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb: "Great and marvelous are your deeds, Lord God Almighty. Just and true are your ways, King of the ages.

4. 주여 누가 주의 이름을 두려워하지 아니하며 영화롭게 하지 아니하오리이까 오직 주만 거룩하시니이다 주의 의로우신 일이 나타났으매 만국이 와서 주께 경배하리이다 하더라
  Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous acts have been revealed."

5. 또 이 일 후에 내가 보니 하늘에 증거 장막의 성전이 열리며
  After this I looked and in heaven the temple, that is, the tabernacle of the Testimony, was opened.

6. 일곱 재앙을 가진 일곱 천사가 성전으로부터 나와 맑고 빛난 세마포 옷을 입고 가슴에 금띠를 띠고
  Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests.

7. 네 생물 중에 하나가 세세에 계신 하나님의 진노를 가득히 담은 금대접 일곱을 그 일곱 천사에게 주니
  Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever.

8. 하나님의 영광과 능력을 인하여 성전에 연기가 차게 되매 일곱 천사의 일곱 재앙이 마치기까지는 성전에 능히 들어갈 자가 없더라
  And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

스가랴 11

1. 레바논아 네 문을 열고 불이 네 백향목을 사르게 하라
  Open your doors, O Lebanon, so that fire may devour your cedars!

2. 너 잣나무여 곡할찌어다 백향목이 넘어졌고 아름다운 나무가 훼멸되었도다 바산의 상수리나무여 곡할찌어다 무성한 삼림이 엎드러졌도다
  Wail, O pine tree, for the cedar has fallen; the stately trees are ruined! Wail, oaks of Bashan; the dense forest has been cut down!

3. 목자의 곡하는 소리가 남이여 그 영화로운 것이 훼멸되었음이로다 어린 사자의 부르짖는 소리가 남이여 이는 요단의 자랑이 황무하였음이로다
  Listen to the wail of the shepherds; their rich pastures are destroyed! Listen to the roar of the lions; the lush thicket of the Jordan is ruined!

4. 여호와 나의 하나님이 가라사대 너는 잡힐 양 떼를 먹이라
  This is what the LORD my God says: "Pasture the flock marked for slaughter.

5. 산 자들은 그들을 잡아도 죄가 없다 하고 판 자들은 말하기를 내가 부요케 되었은즉 여호와께 찬송하리라 하고 그 목자들은 그들을 불쌍히 여기지 아니하는도다
  Their buyers slaughter them and go unpunished. Those who sell them say, 'Praise the LORD, I am rich!' Their own shepherds do not spare them.

6. 여호와가 말하노라 내가 다시는 이 땅 거민을 불쌍히 여기지 아니하고 그 사람을 각각 그 이웃의 손과 임금의 손에 붙이리니 그들이 이 땅을 칠찌라도 내가 그 손에서 건져내지 아니하리라 하시기로
  For I will no longer have pity on the people of the land," declares the LORD. "I will hand everyone over to his neighbor and his king. They will oppress the land, and I will not rescue them from their hands."

7. 내가 이 잡힐 양떼를 먹이니 참으로 가련한 양이라 내가 이에 막대기 둘을 취하여 하나는 은총이라 하며 하나는 연락이라 하고 양떼를 먹일쌔
  So I pastured the flock marked for slaughter, particularly the oppressed of the flock. Then I took two staffs and called one Favor and the other Union, and I pastured the flock.

8. 한 달 동안에 내가 그 세 목자를 끊었으니 이는 내 마음에 그들을 싫어하였고 그들의 마음에도 나를 미워하였음이라
  In one month I got rid of the three shepherds. The flock detested me, and I grew weary of them

9. 내가 가로되 내가 너희를 먹이지 아니하고 죽는 자는 죽는 대로, 망할 자는 망할 대로, 그 나머지는 피차 살을 먹는 대로 두리라 하고
  and said, "I will not be your shepherd. Let the dying die, and the perishing perish. Let those who are left eat one another's flesh."

10. 이에 은총이라 하는 막대기를 취하여 잘랐으니 이는 모든 백성과 세운 언약을 폐하려 하였음이라
  Then I took my staff called Favor and broke it, revoking the covenant I had made with all the nations.

11. 당일에 곧 폐하매 내게 청종하던 가련한 양들은 이것이 여호와의 말씀이었던 줄 안지라
  It was revoked on that day, and so the afflicted of the flock who were watching me knew it was the word of the LORD.

12. 내가 그들에게 이르되 너희가 좋게 여기거든 내 고가를 내게 주고 그렇지 아니하거든 말라 그들이 곧 은 삼십을 달아서 내 고가를 삼은지라
  I told them, "If you think it best, give me my pay; but if not, keep it." So they paid me thirty pieces of silver.

13. 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 그들이 나를 헤아린 바 그 준가를 토기장이에게 던지라 하시기로 내가 곧 그 은 삼십을 여호와의 전에서 토기장이에게 던지고
  And the LORD said to me, "Throw it to the potter"--the handsome price at which they priced me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the LORD to the potter.

14. 내가 또 연락이라 하는 둘째 막대기를 잘랐으니 이는 유다와 이스라엘 형제의 의를 끊으려 함이었느니라
  Then I broke my second staff called Union, breaking the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

15. 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 너는 또 우매한 목자의 기구들을 취할찌니라
  Then the LORD said to me, "Take again the equipment of a foolish shepherd.

16. 보라 내가 한 목자를 이 땅에 일으키리니 그가 없어진 자를 마음에 두지 아니하며 흩어진 자를 찾지 아니하며 상한 자를 고치지 아니하며 강건한 자를 먹이지 아니하고 오히려 살찐 자의 고기를 먹으며 또 그 굽을 찢으리라
  For I am going to raise up a shepherd over the land who will not care for the lost, or seek the young, or heal the injured, or feed the healthy, but will eat the meat of the choice sheep, tearing off their hoofs.

17. 화 있을찐저 양떼를 버린 못된 목자여 칼이 그 팔에, 우편 눈에 임하리니 그 팔이 아주 마르고 그 우편 눈이 아주 어두우리라
  "Woe to the worthless shepherd, who deserts the flock! May the sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm be completely withered, his right eye totally blinded!" An Oracle

요한복음 14

1. 너희는 마음에 근심하지 말라 하나님을 믿으니 또 나를 믿으라
  "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.

2. 내 아버지 집에 거할 곳이 많도다 그렇지 않으면 너희에게 일렀으리라 내가 너희를 위하여 처소를 예비하러 가노니
  In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.

3. 가서 너희를 위하여 처소를 예비하면 내가 다시 와서 너희를 내게로 영접하여 나 있는 곳에 너희도 있게 하리라
  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

4. 내가 가는 곳에 그 길을 너희가 알리라
  You know the way to the place where I am going."

5. 도마가 가로되 주여 어디로 가시는지 우리가 알지 못하거늘 그 길을 어찌 알겠삽나이까
  Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"

6. 예수께서 가라사대 내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명이니 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 자가 없느니라
  Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

7. 너희가 나를 알았더면 내 아버지도 알았으리로다 이제부터는 너희가 그를 알았고 또 보았느니라
  If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

8. 빌립이 가로되 주여 아버지를 우리에게 보여 주옵소서 그리하면 족하겠나이다
  Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."

9. 예수께서 가라사대 빌립아 내가 이렇게 오래 너희와 함께 있으되 네가 나를 알지 못하느냐 나를 본 자는 아버지를 보았거늘 어찌하여 아버지를 보이라 하느냐
  Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

10. 나는 아버지 안에 있고 아버지는 내 안에 계신 것을 네가 믿지 아니하느냐 내가 너희에게 이르는 말이 스스로 하는 것이 아니라 아버지께서 내 안에 계셔 그의 일을 하시는 것이라
  Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

11. 내가 아버지 안에 있고 아버지께서 내 안에 계심을 믿으라 그렇지 못하겠거든 행하는 그 일을 인하여 나를 믿으라
  Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

12. 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나를 믿는 자는 나의 하는 일을 저도 할 것이요 또한 이보다 큰 것도 하리니 이는 내가 아버지께로 감이니라
  I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

13. 너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 시행하리니 이는 아버지로 하여금 아들을 인하여 영광을 얻으시게 하려 함이라
  And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father.

14. 내 이름으로 무엇이든지 내게 구하면 내가 시행하리라
  You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

15. 너희가 나를 사랑하면 나의 계명을 지키리라
  "If you love me, you will obey what I command.

16. 내가 아버지께 구하겠으니 그가 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 주사 영원토록 너희와 함께 있게 하시리니
  And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--

17. 저는 진리의 영이라 세상은 능히 저를 받지 못하나니 이는 저를 보지도 못하고 알지도 못함이라 그러나 너희는 저를 아나니 저는 너희와 함께 거하심이요 또 너희 속에 계시겠음이라
  the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

18. 내가 너희를 고아와 같이 버려 두지 아니하고 너희에게로 오리라
  I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

19. 조금 있으면 세상은 다시 나를 보지 못할 터이로되 너희는 나를 보리니 이는 내가 살았고 너희도 살겠음이라
  Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

20. 그 날에는 내가 아버지 안에, 너희가 내 안에, 내가 너희 안에 있는 것을 너희가 알리라
  On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

21. 나의 계명을 가지고 지키는 자라야 나를 사랑하는 자니 나를 사랑하는 자는 내 아버지께 사랑을 받을 것이요 나도 그를 사랑하여 그에게 나를 나타내리라
  Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

22. 가룟인 아닌 유다가 가로되 주여 어찌하여 자기를 우리에게는 나타내시고 세상에게는 아니하려 하시나이까
  Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"

23. 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 사람이 나를 사랑하면 내 말을 지키리니 내 아버지께서 저를 사랑하실 것이요 우리가 저에게 와서 거처를 저와 함께 하리라
  Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

24. 나를 사랑하지 아니하는 자는 내 말을 지키지 아니하나니 너희의 듣는 말은 내 말이 아니요 나를 보내신 아버지의 말씀이니라
  He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

25. 내가 아직 너희와 함께 있어서 이 말을 너희에게 하였거니와
  "All this I have spoken while still with you.

26. 보혜사 곧 아버지께서 내 이름으로 보내실 성령 그가 너희에게 모든 것을 가르치시고 내가 너희에게 말한 모든 것을 생각나게 하시리라
  But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

27. 평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라 내가 너희에게 주는 것은 세상이 주는 것 같지 아니하니라 너희는 마음에 근심도 말고 두려워하지도 말라
  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

28. 내가 갔다가 너희에게로 온다 하는 말을 너희가 들었나니 나를 사랑하였더면 나의 아버지께로 감을 기뻐하였으리라 아버지는 나보다 크심이니라
  "You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

29. 이제 일이 이루기 전에 너희에게 말한 것은 일이 이룰 때에 너희로 믿게 하려 함이라
  I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe.

30. 이후에는 내가 너희와 말을 많이 하지 아니하리니 이 세상 임금이 오겠음이라 그러나 저는 내게 관계할 것이 없으니
  I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me,

31. 오직 내가 아버지를 사랑하는 것과 아버지의 명하신 대로 행하는 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이로라 일어나라 여기를 떠나자 하시니라
  but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me. "Come now; let us leave.
