역대하 32

1. 이 모든 충성된 일 후에 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 유다에 들어와서 견고한 성읍들을 향하여 진을 치고 쳐서 취하고자 한지라
  After all that Hezekiah had so faithfully done, Sennacherib king of Assyria came and invaded Judah. He laid siege to the fortified cities, thinking to conquer them for himself.

2. 히스기야가 산헤립이 예루살렘을 치러 온 것을 보고
  When Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib had come and that he intended to make war on Jerusalem,

3. 그 방백들과 용사들로 더불어 의논하고 성 밖에 모든 물 근원을 막고자 하매 저희가 돕더라
  he consulted with his officials and military staff about blocking off the water from the springs outside the city, and they helped him.

4. 이에 백성이 많이 모여 모든 물 근원과 땅으로 흘러가는 시내를 막고 이르되 어찌 앗수르 왕들로 와서 많은 물을 얻게 하리요 하고
  A large force of men assembled, and they blocked all the springs and the stream that flowed through the land. "Why should the kings of Assyria come and find plenty of water?" they said.

5. 히스기야가 세력을 내어 퇴락한 성을 중수하되 망대까지 높이 쌓고 또 외성을 쌓고 다윗 성의 밀로를 견고케 하고 병기와 방패를 많이 만들고
  Then he worked hard repairing all the broken sections of the wall and building towers on it. He built another wall outside that one and reinforced the supporting terraces of the City of David. He also made large numbers of weapons and shields.

6. 군대 장관들을 세워 백성을 거느리게 하고 성문 광장 자기에게로 무리를 모으고 말로 위로하여 가로되
  He appointed military officers over the people and assembled them before him in the square at the city gate and encouraged them with these words:

7. 너희는 마음을 강하게 하며 담대히 하고 앗수르 왕과 그 좇는 온 무리로 인하여 두려워 말며 놀라지 말라 우리와 함께 하는 자가 저와 함께 하는 자보다 크니
  "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.

8. 저와 함께 하는 자는 육신의 팔이요 우리와 함께 하는 자는 우리의 하나님 여호와시라 반드시 우리를 도우시고 우리를 대신하여 싸우시리라 하매 백성이 유다 왕 히스기야의 말로 인하여 안심하니라
  With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles." And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said.

9. 그 후에 앗수르 왕 산헤립이 그 온 군대를 거느리고 라기스를 치며 그 신복을 예루살렘에 보내어 유다 왕 히스기야와 예루살렘에 있는 유다 무리에게 고하여 이르기를
  Later, when Sennacherib king of Assyria and all his forces were laying siege to Lachish, he sent his officers to Jerusalem with this message for Hezekiah king of Judah and for all the people of Judah who were there:

10. 앗수르 왕 산헤립은 이같이 말하노라 너희가 예루살렘에 에워싸여 있으면서 무엇을 의뢰하느냐
  "This is what Sennacherib king of Assyria says: On what are you basing your confidence, that you remain in Jerusalem under siege?

11. 히스기야가 너희를 꾀어 이르기를 우리 하나님 여호와께서 우리를 앗수르 왕의 손에서 건져내시리라 하거니와 이 어찌 너희로 주림과 목마름으로 죽게 함이 아니냐
  When Hezekiah says, 'The LORD our God will save us from the hand of the king of Assyria,' he is misleading you, to let you die of hunger and thirst.

12. 이 히스기야가 여호와의 산당들과 단들을 제하여 버리고 유다와 예루살렘에 명하여 이르기를 너희는 다만 한 단 앞에서 경배하고 그 위에 분향하라 하지 아니하였느냐
  Did not Hezekiah himself remove this god's high places and altars, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, 'You must worship before one altar and burn sacrifices on it'?

13. 나와 내 열조가 이방 모든 백성에게 행한 것을 너희가 알지 못하느냐 열방의 신들이 능히 그 땅을 나의 손에서 건져낼 수 있었느냐
  "Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of the other lands? Were the gods of those nations ever able to deliver their land from my hand?

14. 나의 열조가 진멸한 열국의 그 모든 신 중에 누가 능히 그 백성을 내 손에서 건져내었기에 너희 하나님이 능히 너희를 내 손에서 건지겠느냐
  Who of all the gods of these nations that my fathers destroyed has been able to save his people from me? How then can your god deliver you from my hand?

15. 그런즉 이와 같이 히스기야에게 속지 말라 꾀임을 받지 말라 저를 믿지도 말라 아무 백성이나 아무 나라의 신도 능히 그 백성을 나의 손과 나의 열조의 손에서 건져내지 못하였나니 하물며 너희 하나님이 너희를 내 손에서 건져내겠느냐 하였더라
  Now do not let Hezekiah deceive you and mislead you like this. Do not believe him, for no god of any nation or kingdom has been able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your god deliver you from my hand!"

16. 산헤립의 신복들도 더욱 여호와 하나님과 그 종 히스기야를 비방하였으며
  Sennacherib's officers spoke further against the LORD God and against his servant Hezekiah.

17. 산헤립이 또 편지를 써서 보내어 이스라엘 하나님 여호와를 욕하고 비방하여 이르기를 열방의 신들이 그 백성을 내 손에서 구원하여 내지 못한 것같이 히스기야의 신들도 그 백성을 내 손에서 구원하여 내지 못하리라 하고
  The king also wrote letters insulting the LORD, the God of Israel, and saying this against him: "Just as the gods of the peoples of the other lands did not rescue their people from my hand, so the god of Hezekiah will not rescue his people from my hand."

18. 산헤립의 신하가 유다 방언으로 크게 소리질러 예루살렘 성 위에 있는 백성을 놀라게 하고 괴롭게 하여 그 성을 취하려 하였는데
  Then they called out in Hebrew to the people of Jerusalem who were on the wall, to terrify them and make them afraid in order to capture the city.

19. 저희가 예루살렘의 하나님을 훼방하기를 사람의 손으로 지은 세상 백성의 신들을 훼방하듯 하였더라
  They spoke about the God of Jerusalem as they did about the gods of the other peoples of the world--the work of men's hands.

20. 이러므로 히스기야 왕이 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야로 더불어 하늘을 향하여 부르짖어 기도하였더니
  King Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz cried out in prayer to heaven about this.

21. 여호와께서 한 천사를 보내어 앗수르 왕의 영에서 모든 큰 용사와 대장과 장관들을 멸하신지라 앗수르 왕이 얼굴이 뜨뜻하여 그 고국으로 돌아갔더니 그 신의 전에 들어갔을 때에 그 몸에서 난 자들이 거기서 칼로 죽였더라
  And the LORD sent an angel, who annihilated all the fighting men and the leaders and officers in the camp of the Assyrian king. So he withdrew to his own land in disgrace. And when he went into the temple of his god, some of his sons cut him down with the sword.

22. 이와 같이 여호와께서 히스기야와 예루살렘 거민을 앗수르 왕 산헤립의 손과 모든 적국의 손에서 구원하여 내사 사면으로 보호하시매
  So the LORD saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib king of Assyria and from the hand of all others. He took care of them on every side.

23. 여러 사람이 예물을 가지고 예루살렘에 와서 여호와께 드리고 또 보물로 유다 왕 히스기야에게 드린지라 이 후부터 히스기야가 열국의 눈에 존대하게 되었더라
  Many brought offerings to Jerusalem for the LORD and valuable gifts for Hezekiah king of Judah. From then on he was highly regarded by all the nations.

24. 그 때에 히스기야가 병들어 죽게 된 고로 여호와께 기도하매 여호와께서 그에게 대답하시고 또 이적으로 보이셨으나
  In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. He prayed to the LORD, who answered him and gave him a miraculous sign.

25. 히스기야가 마음이 교만하여 그 받은 은혜를 보답지 아니하므로 진노가 저와 유다와 예루살렘에 임하게 되었더니
  But Hezekiah's heart was proud and he did not respond to the kindness shown him; therefore the LORD'S wrath was on him and on Judah and Jerusalem.

26. 히스기야가 마음의 교만함을 뉘우치고 예루살렘 거민들도 그와 같이 하였으므로 여호와의 노가 히스기야의 생전에는 저희에게 임하지 아니하니라
  Then Hezekiah repented of the pride of his heart, as did the people of Jerusalem; therefore the LORD'S wrath did not come upon them during the days of Hezekiah.

27. 히스기야가 부와 영광이 극한지라 이에 은금과 보석과 향품과 방패와 온갖 보배로운 그릇들을 위하여 국고를 세우며
  Hezekiah had very great riches and honor, and he made treasuries for his silver and gold and for his precious stones, spices, shields and all kinds of valuables.

28. 곡식과 새 포도주와 기름의 산물을 위하여 창고를 세우며 온갖 짐승의 외양간을 세우며 양 떼의 우리를 갖추며
  He also made buildings to store the harvest of grain, new wine and oil; and he made stalls for various kinds of cattle, and pens for the flocks.

29. 양 떼와 많은 소 떼를 위하여 성읍들을 세웠으니 이는 하나님이 저에게 재산을 심히 많이 주셨음이며
  He built villages and acquired great numbers of flocks and herds, for God had given him very great riches.

30. 이 히스기야가 또 기혼의 윗 샘물을 막아 그 아래로 좇아 다윗 성 서편으로 곧게 인도하였으니 저의 모든 일이 형통하였더라
  It was Hezekiah who blocked the upper outlet of the Gihon spring and channeled the water down to the west side of the City of David. He succeeded in everything he undertook.

31. 그러나 바벨론 방백들이 히스기야에게 사자를 보내어 그 땅에서 나타난 이적을 물을 때에 하나님이 히스기야를 떠나시고 그 심중에 있는 것을 다 알고자 하사 시험하셨더라
  But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.

32. 히스기야의 남은 행적과 그 모든 선한 일이 아모스의 아들 선지자 이사야의 묵시책과 유다와 이스라엘 열왕기에 기록되니라
  The other events of Hezekiah's reign and his acts of devotion are written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.

33. 히스기야가 그 열조와 함께 자매 온 유다와 예루살렘 거민이 저를 다윗 자손의 묘실 중 높은 곳에 장사하여 저의 죽음에 존경함을 표하였더라 그 아들 므낫세가 대신하여 왕이 되니라
  Hezekiah rested with his fathers and was buried on the hill where the tombs of David's descendants are. All Judah and the people of Jerusalem honored him when he died. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.

요한계시록 18

1. 이 일 후에 다른 천사가 하늘에서 내려오는 것을 보니 큰 권세를 가졌는데 그의 영광으로 땅이 환하여지더라
  After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor.

2. 힘센 음성으로 외쳐 가로되 무너졌도다 무너졌도다 큰 성 바벨론이여 귀신의 처소와 각종 더러운 영의 모이는 곳과 각종 더럽고 가증한 새의 모이는 곳이 되었도다
  With a mighty voice he shouted: "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great! She has become a home for demons and a haunt for every evil spirit, a haunt for every unclean and detestable bird.

3. 그 음행의 진노의 포도주를 인하여 만국이 무너졌으며 또 땅의 왕들이 그로 더불어 음행하였으며 땅의 상고들도 그 사치의 세력을 인하여 치부하였도다 하더라
  For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries."

4. 또 내가 들으니 하늘로서 다른 음성이 나서 가로되 내 백성아, 거기서 나와 그의 죄에 참예하지 말고 그의 받을 재앙들을 받지 말라
  Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;

5. 그 죄는 하늘에 사무쳤으며 하나님은 그의 불의한 일을 기억하신지라
  for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.

6. 그가 준 그대로 그에게 주고 그의 행위대로 갑절을 갚아 주고 그의 섞은 잔에도 갑절이나 섞어 그에게 주라
  Give back to her as she has given; pay her back double for what she has done. Mix her a double portion from her own cup.

7. 그가 어떻게 자기를 영화롭게 하였으며 사치하였든지 그만큼 고난과 애통으로 갚아 주라 그가 마음에 말하기를 나는 여황으로 앉은 자요 과부가 아니라 결단코 애통을 당하지 아니하리라 하니
  Give her as much torture and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts, 'I sit as queen; I am not a widow, and I will never mourn.'

8. 그러므로 하루 동안에 그 재앙들이 이르리니 곧 사망과 애통과 흉년이라 그가 또한 불에 살라지리니 그를 심판하신 주 하나님은 강하신 자이심이니라
  Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.

9. 그와 함께 음행하고 사치하던 땅의 왕들이 그 불붙는 연기를 보고 위하여 울고 가슴을 치며
  "When the kings of the earth who committed adultery with her and shared her luxury see the smoke of her burning, they will weep and mourn over her.

10. 그 고난을 무서워하여 멀리 서서 가로되 화 있도다 화 있도다 큰 성, 견고한 성 바벨론이여 일시간에 네 심판이 이르렀다 하리로다
  Terrified at her torment, they will stand far off and cry: "'Woe! Woe, O great city, O Babylon, city of power! In one hour your doom has come!'

11. 땅의 상고들이 그를 위하여 울고 애통하는 것은 다시 그 상품을 사는 자가 없음이라
  "The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes any more--

12. 그 상품은 금과 은과 보석과 진주와 세마포와 자주 옷감과 비단과 붉은 옷감이요 각종 향목과 각종 상아 기명이요 값진 나무와 진유와 철과 옥석으로 만든 각종 기명이요
  cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble;

13. 계피와 향료와 향과 향유와 유향과 포도주와 감람유와 고운 밀가루와 밀과 소와 양과 말과 수레와 종들과 사람의 영혼들이라
  cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and bodies and souls of men.

14. 바벨론아 네 영혼의 탐하던 과실이 네게서 떠났으며 맛있는 것들과 빛난 것들이 다 없어졌으니 사람들이 결코 이것들을 다시 보지 못하리로다
  "They will say, 'The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.'

15. 바벨론을 인하여 치부한 이 상품의 상고들이 그 고난을 무서워하여 멀리 서서 울고 애통하여
  The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn

16. 가로되 화 있도다 화 있도다 큰 성이여 세마포와 자주와 붉은 옷을 입고 금과 보석과 진주로 꾸민 것인데
  and cry out: "'Woe! Woe, O great city, dressed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!

17. 그러한 부가 일시간에 망하였도다 각 선장과 각처를 다니는 선객들과 선인들과 바다에서 일하는 자들이 멀리 서서
  In one hour such great wealth has been brought to ruin!' "Every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and all who earn their living from the sea, will stand far off.

18. 그 불붙는 연기를 보고 외쳐 가로되 이 큰 성과 같은 성이 어디 있느뇨 하며
  When they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim, 'Was there ever a city like this great city?'

19. 티끌을 자기 머리에 뿌리고 울고 애통하여 외쳐 가로되 화 있도다 화 있도다 이 큰 성이여 바다에서 배 부리는 모든 자들이 너의 보배로운 상품을 인하여 치부하였더니 일시간에 망하였도다
  They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out: "'Woe! Woe, O great city, where all who had ships on the sea became rich through her wealth! In one hour she has been brought to ruin!

20. 하늘과 성도들과 사도들과 선지자들아 그를 인하여 즐거워하라 하나님이 너희를 신원하시는 심판을 그에게 하셨음이라 하더라
  Rejoice over her, O heaven! Rejoice, saints and apostles and prophets! God has judged her for the way she treated you.'"

21. 이에 한 힘센 천사가 큰 맷돌 같은 돌을 들어 바다에 던져 가로되 큰 성 바벨론이 이같이 몹시 떨어져 결코 다시 보이지 아니하리로다
  Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said: "With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again.

22. 또 거문고 타는 자와 풍류하는 자와 퉁소 부는 자와 나팔 부는 자들의 소리가 결코 다시 네 가운데서 들리지 아니하고 물론 어떠한 세공업자든지 결코 다시 네 가운데서 보이지 아니하고 또 맷돌 소리가 결코 다시 네 가운데서 들리지 아니하고
  The music of harpists and musicians, flute players and trumpeters, will never be heard in you again. No workman of any trade will ever be found in you again. The sound of a millstone will never be heard in you again.

23. 등불 빛이 결코 다시 네 가운데서 비취지 아니하고 신랑과 신부의 음성이 결코 다시 네 가운데서 들리지 아니하리로다 너의 상고들은 땅의 왕족들이라 네 복술을 인하여 만국이 미혹되었도다
  The light of a lamp will never shine in you again. The voice of bridegroom and bride will never be heard in you again. Your merchants were the world's great men. By your magic spell all the nations were led astray.

24. 선지자들과 성도들과 및 땅 위에서 죽임을 당한 모든 자의 피가 이 성중에서 보였느니라 하더라
  In her was found the blood of prophets and of the saints, and of all who have been killed on the earth."

스가랴 14

1. 여호와의 날이 이르리라 그 날에 네 재물이 약탈되어 너의 중에서 나누이리라
  A day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided among you.

2. 내가 열국을 모아 예루살렘과 싸우게 하리니 성읍이 함락되며 가옥이 약탈되며 부녀가 욕을 보며 성읍 백성이 절반이나 사로잡혀 가려니와 남은 백성은 성읍에서 끊쳐지지 아니하리라
  I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city.

3. 그 때에 여호와께서 나가사 그 열국을 치시되 이왕 전쟁 날에 싸운 것같이 하시리라
  Then the LORD will go out and fight against those nations, as he fights in the day of battle.

4. 그 날에 그의 발이 예루살렘 앞 곧 동편 감람 산에 서실 것이요 감람 산은 그 한가운데가 동서로 갈라져 매우 큰 골짜기가 되어서 산 절반은 북으로, 절반은 남으로 옮기고
  On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

5. 그 산 골짜기는 아셀까지 미칠찌라 너희가 그의 산 골짜기로 도망하되 유다 왕 웃시야 때에 지진을 피하여 도망하던 것 같이 하리라 나의 하나님 여호와께서 임하실 것이요 모든 거룩한 자가 주와 함께하리라
  You will flee by my mountain valley, for it will extend to Azel. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with him.

6. 그 날에는 빛이 없겠고 광명한 자들이 떠날 것이라
  On that day there will be no light, no cold or frost.

7. 여호와의 아시는 한 날이 있으리니 낮도 아니요 밤도 아니라 어두워 갈 때에 빛이 있으리로다
  It will be a unique day, without daytime or nighttime--a day known to the LORD. When evening comes, there will be light.

8. 그 날에 생수가 예루살렘에서 솟아나서 절반은 동해로, 절반은 서해로 흐를 것이라 여름에도 겨울에도 그러하리라
  On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the eastern sea and half to the western sea, in summer and in winter.

9. 여호와께서 천하의 왕이 되시리니 그 날에는 여호와께서 홀로 하나이실 것이요 그 이름이 홀로 하나이실 것이며
  The LORD will be king over the whole earth. On that day there will be one LORD, and his name the only name.

10. 온 땅이 아라바같이 되되 게바에서 예루살렘 남편 림몬까지 미칠 것이며 예루살렘이 높이 들려 그 본처에 있으리니 베냐민 문에서부터 첫문 자리와 성 모퉁이 문까지 또 하나넬 망대에서부터 왕의 포도주 짜는 곳까지라
  The whole land, from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem, will become like the Arabah. But Jerusalem will be raised up and remain in its place, from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.

11. 사람이 그 가운데 거하며 다시는 저주가 있지 아니하리니 예루살렘이 안연히 서리로다
  It will be inhabited; never again will it be destroyed. Jerusalem will be secure.

12. 예루살렘을 친 모든 백성에게 여호와께서 내리실 재앙이 이러하니 곧 섰을 때에 그 살이 썩으며 그 눈이 구멍 속에서 썩으며 그 혀가 입 속에서 썩을 것이요
  This is the plague with which the LORD will strike all the nations that fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.

13. 그 날에 여호와께서 그들로 크게 요란케 하시리니 피차 손으로 붙잡으며 피차 손을 들어 칠 것이며
  On that day men will be stricken by the LORD with great panic. Each man will seize the hand of another, and they will attack each other.

14. 유다도 예루살렘에서 싸우리니 이 때에 사면에 있는 열국의 보화 곧 금 은과 의복이 심히 많이 모여질 것이요
  Judah too will fight at Jerusalem. The wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected--great quantities of gold and silver and clothing.

15. 또 말과 노새와 약대와 나귀와 그 진에 있는 모든 육축에게 미칠 재앙도 그 재앙과 같으리라
  A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those camps.

16. 예루살렘을 치러 왔던 열국 중에 남은 자가 해마다 올라와서 그 왕 만군의 여호와께 숭배하며 초막절을 지킬 것이라
  Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

17. 천하 만국 중에 그 왕 만군의 여호와께 숭배하러 예루살렘에 올라오지 아니하는 자에게는 비를 내리지 아니하실 것인즉
  If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain.

18. 만일 애굽 족속이 올라오지 아니할 때에는 창일함이 있지 아니하리니 여호와께서 초막절을 지키러 올라오지 아니하는 열국 사람을 치시는 재앙을 그에게 내리실 것이라
  If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

19. 애굽 사람이나 열국 사람이나 초막절을 지키러 올라오지 아니하는 자의 받을 벌이 이러하니라
  This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles.

20. 그 날에는 말 방울에까지 여호와께 성결이라 기록될 것이라 여호와의 전에 모든 솥이 제단 앞 주발과 다름이 없을 것이니
  On that day HOLY TO THE LORD will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, and the cooking pots in the LORD'S house will be like the sacred bowls in front of the altar.

21. 예루살렘과 유다의 모든 솥이 만군의 여호와의 성물이 될 것인즉 제사드리는 자가 와서 이 솥을 취하여 그 가운데 고기를 삶으리라 그 날에는 만군의 여호와의 전에 가나안 사람이 다시 있지 아니하리라
  Every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the LORD Almighty, and all who come to sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them. And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD Almighty.

요한복음 17

1. 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 눈을 들어 하늘을 우러러 가라사대 아버지여 때가 이르렀사오니 아들을 영화롭게 하사 아들로 아버지를 영화롭게 하게 하옵소서
  After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.

2. 아버지께서 아들에게 주신 모든 자에게 영생을 주게 하시려고 만민을 다스리는 권세를 아들에게 주셨음이로소이다
  For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him.

3. 영생은 곧 유일하신 참 하나님과 그의 보내신 자 예수 그리스도를 아는 것이니이다
  Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

4. 아버지께서 내게 하라고 주신 일을 내가 이루어 아버지를 이 세상에서 영화롭게 하였사오니
  I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

5. 아버지여 창세 전에 내가 아버지와 함께 가졌던 영화로써 지금도 아버지와 함께 나를 영화롭게 하옵소서
  And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

6. 세상 중에서 내게 주신 사람들에게 내가 아버지의 이름을 나타내었나이다 저희는 아버지의 것이었는데 내게 주셨으며 저희는 아버지의 말씀을 지키었나이다
  "I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.

7. 지금 저희는 아버지께서 내게 주신 것이 다 아버지께로서 온 것인 줄 알았나이다
  Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

8. 나는 아버지께서 내게 주신 말씀들을 저희에게 주었사오며 저희는 이것을 받고 내가 아버지께로부터 나온 줄을 참으로 아오며 아버지께서 나를 보내신 줄도 믿었사옵나이다
  For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

9. 내가 저희를 위하여 비옵나니 내가 비옵는 것은 세상을 위함이 아니요 내게 주신 자들을 위함이니이다 저희는 아버지의 것이로소이다
  I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

10. 내 것은 다 아버지의 것이요 아버지의 것은 내 것이온데 내가 저희로 말미암아 영광을 받았나이다
  All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.

11. 나는 세상에 더 있지 아니하오나 저희는 세상에 있사옵고 나는 아버지께로 가옵나니 거룩하신 아버지여 내게 주신 아버지의 이름으로 저희를 보전하사 우리와 같이 저희도 하나가 되게 하옵소서
  I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one.

12. 내가 저희와 함께 있을 때에 내게 주신 아버지의 이름으로 저희를 보전하와 지키었나이다 그 중에 하나도 멸망치 않고 오직 멸망의 자식뿐이오니 이는 성경을 응하게 함이니이다
  While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

13. 지금 내가 아버지께로 가오니 내가 세상에서 이 말을 하옵는 것은 저희로 내 기쁨을 저희 안에 충만히 가지게 하려 함이니이다
  "I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.

14. 내가 아버지의 말씀을 저희에게 주었사오매 세상이 저희를 미워하였사오니 이는 내가 세상에 속하지 아니함같이 저희도 세상에 속하지 아니함을 인함이니이다
  I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.

15. 내가 비옵는 것은 저희를 세상에서 데려가시기를 위함이 아니요 오직 악에 빠지지 않게 보전하시기를 위함이니이다
  My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.

16. 내가 세상에 속하지 아니함같이 저희도 세상에 속하지 아니하였삽나이다
  They are not of the world, even as I am not of it.

17. 저희를 진리로 거룩하게 하옵소서 아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다
  Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.

18. 아버지께서 나를 세상에 보내신 것같이 나도 저희를 세상에 보내었고
  As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.

19. 또 저희를 위하여 내가 나를 거룩하게 하오니 이는 저희도 진리로 거룩함을 얻게 하려 함이니이다
  For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

20. 내가 비옵는 것은 이 사람들만 위함이 아니요 또 저희 말을 인하여 나를 믿는 사람들도 위함이니
  "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

21. 아버지께서 내 안에, 내가 아버지 안에 있는 것같이 저희도 다 하나가 되어 우리 안에 있게 하사 세상으로 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 믿게 하옵소서
  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

22. 내게 주신 영광을 내가 저희에게 주었사오니 이는 우리가 하나가 된 것같이 저희도 하나가 되게 하려 함이니이다
  I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:

23. 곧 내가 저희 안에, 아버지께서 내 안에 계셔 저희로 온전함을 이루어 하나가 되게 하려 함은 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 또 나를 사랑하심같이 저희도 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이로소이다
  I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

24. 아버지여 내게 주신 자도 나 있는 곳에 나와 함께 있어 아버지께서 창세 전부터 나를 사랑하시므로 내게 주신 나의 영광을 저희로 보게 하시기를 원하옵나이다
  "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

25. 의로우신 아버지여 세상이 아버지를 알지 못하여도 나는 아버지를 알았삽고 저희도 아버지께서 나를 보내신 줄 알았삽나이다
  "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me.

26. 내가 아버지의 이름을 저희에게 알게 하였고 또 알게 하리니 이는 나를 사랑하신 사랑이 저희 안에 있고 나도 저희 안에 있게 하려 함이니이다
  I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them."
