역대하 7

1. 솔로몬이 기도를 마치매 불이 하늘에서부터 내려와서 그 번제물과 제물들을 사르고 여호와의 영광이 그 전에 가득하니
  When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.

2. 여호와의 영광이 여호와의 전에 가득하므로 제사장이 그 전에 능히 들어가지 못하였고
  The priests could not enter the temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it.

3. 이스라엘 모든 자손은 불이 내리는 것과 여호와의 영광이 전에 있는 것을 보고 박석 깐 땅에 엎드려 경배하며 여호와께 감사하여 가로되 선하시도다 그 인자하심이 영원하도다 하니라
  When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, "He is good; his love endures forever."

4. 이에 왕과 모든 백성이 여호와 앞에 제사를 드리니
  Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the LORD.

5. 솔로몬 왕의 드린 제물이 소가 이만 이천이요 양이 십이만이라 이와 같이 왕과 모든 백성이 하나님의 전의 낙성식을 행하니라
  And King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand head of cattle and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep and goats. So the king and all the people dedicated the temple of God.

6. 때에 제사장들은 직분대로 모셔 서고 레위 사람도 여호와의 악기를 가지고 섰으니 이 악기는 전에 다윗 왕이 레위 사람으로 여호와를 찬송하려고 만들어서 여호와의 인자하심이 영원함을 감사케 하던 것이라 제사장은 무리 앞에서 나팔을 불고 온 이스라엘은 섰더라
  The priests took their positions, as did the Levites with the LORD'S musical instruments, which King David had made for praising the LORD and which were used when he gave thanks, saying, "His love endures forever." Opposite the Levites, the priests blew their trumpets, and all the Israelites were standing.

7. 솔로몬이 또 여호와의 전 앞뜰 가운데를 거룩히 구별하고 거기서 번제물과 화목제의 기름을 드렸으니 이는 솔로몬의 지은 놋단이 능히 그 번제물과 소제물과 기름을 용납할 수 없음이더라
  Solomon consecrated the middle part of the courtyard in front of the temple of the LORD, and there he offered burnt offerings and the fat of the fellowship offerings, because the bronze altar he had made could not hold the burnt offerings, the grain offerings and the fat portions.

8. 그 때에 솔로몬이 칠 일 동안 절기를 지켰는데 하맛 어귀에서부터 애굽 하수까지의 온 이스라엘의 심히 큰 회중이 모여 저와 함께 하였더니
  So Solomon observed the festival at that time for seven days, and all Israel with him--a vast assembly, people from Lebo Hamath to the Wadi of Egypt.

9. 제 팔 일에 무리가 한 성회를 여니라 단의 낙성식을 칠 일 동안 행한 후 이 절기를 칠 일 동안 지키니라
  On the eighth day they held an assembly, for they had celebrated the dedication of the altar for seven days and the festival for seven days more.

10. 칠월 이십삼일에 왕이 백성을 그 장막으로 돌려 보내매 백성이 여호와께서 다윗과 솔로몬과 그 백성 이스라엘에게 베푸신 은혜를 인하여 기뻐하며 마음에 즐거워하였더라
  On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people to their homes, joyful and glad in heart for the good things the LORD had done for David and Solomon and for his people Israel.

11. 솔로몬이 여호와의 전과 왕궁을 필역하고 무릇 그 심중에 여호와의 전과 자기의 궁궐에 어떻게 만들고자 한 것을 다 형통하게 이루니라
  When Solomon had finished the temple of the LORD and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the LORD and in his own palace,

12. 밤에 여호와께서 솔로몬에게 나타나사 이르시되 내가 이미 네 기도를 듣고 이 곳을 택하여 내게 제사하는 전을 삼았으니
  the LORD appeared to him at night and said: "I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.

13. 혹 내가 하늘을 닫고 비를 내리지 아니하거나 혹 메뚜기로 토산을 먹게 하거나 혹 염병으로 내 백성 가운데 유행하게 할 때에
  "When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,

14. 내 이름으로 일컫는 내 백성이 그 악한 길에서 떠나 스스로 겸비하고 기도하여 내 얼굴을 구하면 내가 하늘에서 듣고 그 죄를 사하고 그 땅을 고칠찌라
  if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

15. 이 곳에서 하는 기도에 내가 눈을 들고 귀를 기울이리니
  Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

16. 이는 내가 이미 이 전을 택하고 거룩하게 하여 내 이름으로 여기 영영히 있게 하였음이라 내 눈과 내 마음이 항상 여기 있으리라
  I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.

17. 네가 만일 내 앞에서 행하기를 네 아비 다윗같이 하여 내가 네게 명한 모든 것을 행하여 내 율례와 규례를 지키면
  "As for you, if you walk before me as David your father did, and do all I command, and observe my decrees and laws,

18. 내가 네 나라 위를 견고케 하되 전에 내가 네 아비 다윗과 언약하기를 이스라엘을 다스릴 자가 네게서 끊어지지 아니하리라 한 대로 하리라
  I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father when I said, 'You shall never fail to have a man to rule over Israel.'

19. 그러나 너희가 만일 돌이켜 내가 너희 앞에 둔 내 율례와 명령을 버리고 가서 다른 신을 섬겨 숭배하면
  "But if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them,

20. 내가 저희에게 준 땅에서 그 뿌리를 뽑아내고 내 이름을 위하여 거룩하게 한 이 전을 내 앞에서 버려 모든 민족 중에 속담거리와 이야기거리가 되게 하리니
  then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.

21. 이 전이 비록 높을찌라도 무릇 그리로 지나가는 자가 놀라 가로되 여호와께서 무슨 까닭으로 이 땅과 이 전에 이같이 행하셨는고 하면
  And though this temple is now so imposing, all who pass by will be appalled and say, 'Why has the LORD done such a thing to this land and to this temple?'

22. 대답하기를 저희가 자기 열조를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내신 자기 하나님 여호와를 버리고 다른 신에게 부종하여 그를 숭배하여 섬기므로 여호와께서 이 모든 재앙을 저희에게 내리셨다 하리라 하셨더라
  People will answer, 'Because they have forsaken the LORD, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them--that is why he brought all this disaster on them.'"

요한이서 1

1. 장로는 택하심을 입은 부녀와 그의 자녀에게 편지하노니 내가 참으로 사랑하는 자요 나뿐 아니라 진리를 아는 모든 자도 그리하는 것은
  The elder, To the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth--and not I only, but also all who know the truth--

2. 우리 안에 거하여 영원히 우리와 함께 할 진리를 인함이로다
  because of the truth, which lives in us and will be with us forever:

3. 은혜와 긍휼과 평강이 하나님 아버지와 아버지의 아들 예수 그리스도께로부터 진리와 사랑 가운데서 우리와 함께 있으리라
  Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father's Son, will be with us in truth and love.

4. 너의 자녀 중에 우리가 아버지께 받은 계명대로 진리에 행하는 자를 내가 보니 심히 기쁘도다
  It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us.

5. 부녀여, 내가 이제 네게 구하노니 서로 사랑하자 이는 새 계명같이 네게 쓰는 것이 아니요 오직 처음부터 우리가 가진 것이라
  And now, dear lady, I am not writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning. I ask that we love one another.

6. 또 사랑은 이것이니 우리가 그 계명을 좇아 행하는 것이요 계명은 이것이니 너희가 처음부터 들은 바와 같이 그 가운데서 행하라 하심이라
  And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his command is that you walk in love.

7. 미혹하는 자가 많이 세상에 나왔나니 이는 예수 그리스도께서 육체로 임하심을 부인하는 자라 이것이 미혹하는 자요 적그리스도니
  Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

8. 너희는 너희를 삼가 우리의 일한 것을 잃지 말고 오직 온전한 상을 얻으라
  Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.

9. 지내쳐 그리스도 교훈 안에 거하지 아니하는 자마다 하나님을 모시지 못하되 교훈 안에 거하는 이 사람이 아버지와 아들을 모시느니라
  Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

10. 누구든지 이 교훈을 가지지 않고 너희에게 나아가거든 그를 집에 들이지도 말고 인사도 말라
  If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him.

11. 그에게 인사하는 자는 그 악한 일에 참예하는 자임이니라
  Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

12. 내가 너희에게 쓸 것이 많으나 종이와 먹으로 쓰기를 원치 아니하고 오히려 너희에게 가서 면대하여 말하려 하니 이는 너희 기쁨을 충만케 하려 함이라
  I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.

13. 택하심을 입은 네 자매의 자녀가 네게 문안하느니라
  The children of your chosen sister send their greetings.

하박국 2

1. 내가 내 파수하는 곳에 서며 성루에 서리라 그가 내게 무엇이라 말씀하실는지 기다리고 바라보며 나의 질문에 대하여 어떻게 대답하실는지 보리라 그리하였더니
  I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.

2. 여호와께서 내게 대답하여 가라사대 너는 이 묵시를 기록하여 판에 명백히 새기되 달려가면서도 읽을 수 있게 하라
  Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.

3. 이 묵시는 정한 때가 있나니 그 종말이 속히 이르겠고 결코 거짓되지 아니하리라 비록 더딜찌라도 기다리라 지체되지 않고 정녕 응하리라
  For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

4. 보라 그의 마음은 교만하며 그의 속에서 정직하지 못하니라 그러나 의인은 그 믿음으로 말미암아 살리라
  "See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright--but the righteous will live by his faith--

5. 그는 술을 즐기며 궤휼하며 교만하여 가만히 있지 아니하고 그 욕심을 음부처럼 넓히며 또 그는 사망 같아서 족한 줄을 모르고 자기에게로 만국을 모으며 만민을 모으나니
  indeed, wine betrays him; he is arrogant and never at rest. Because he is as greedy as the grave and like death is never satisfied, he gathers to himself all the nations and takes captive all the peoples.

6. 그 무리가 다 속담으로 그를 평론하며 조롱하는 시로 그를 풍자하지 않겠느냐 곧 이르기를 화 있을찐저 자기 소유 아닌 것을 모으는 자여 언제까지 이르겠느냐 볼모잡은 것으로 무겁게 짐진 자여
  "Will not all of them taunt him with ridicule and scorn, saying, "'Woe to him who piles up stolen goods and makes himself wealthy by extortion! How long must this go on?'

7. 너를 물 자들이 홀연히 일어나지 않겠느냐 너를 괴롭게 할 자들이 깨지 않겠느냐 네가 그들에게 노략을 당하지 않겠느냐
  Will not your debtors suddenly arise? Will they not wake up and make you tremble? Then you will become their victim.

8. 네가 여러 나라를 노략하였으므로 그 모든 민족의 남은 자가 너를 노략하리니 이는 네가 사람의 피를 흘렸음이요 또 땅에, 성읍에, 그 안의 모든 거민에게 강포를 행하였음이니라 하리라
  Because you have plundered many nations, the peoples who are left will plunder you. For you have shed man's blood; you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them.

9. 재앙을 피하기 위하여 높은데 깃들이려 하며 자기 집을 위하여 불의의 이를 취하는 자에게 화 있을찐저
  "Woe to him who builds his realm by unjust gain to set his nest on high, to escape the clutches of ruin!

10. 네가 여러 민족을 멸한 것이 네 집에 욕을 부르며 너로 네 영혼에게 죄를 범하게 하는 것이 되었도다
  You have plotted the ruin of many peoples, shaming your own house and forfeiting your life.

11. 담에서 돌이 부르짖고 집에서 들보가 응답하리라
  The stones of the wall will cry out, and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.

12. 피로 읍을 건설하며 불의로 성을 건축하는 자에게 화 있을찐저
  "Woe to him who builds a city with bloodshed and establishes a town by crime!

13. 민족들이 불탈 것으로 수고하는 것과 열국이 헛된 일로 곤비하게 되는 것이 만군의 여호와께로서 말미암음이 아니냐
  Has not the LORD Almighty determined that the people's labor is only fuel for the fire, that the nations exhaust themselves for nothing?

14. 대저 물이 바다를 덮음같이 여호와의 영광을 인정하는 것이 세상에 가득하리라
  For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

15. 이웃에게 술을 마시우되 자기의 분노를 더하여 그로 취케 하고 그 하체를 드러내려 하는 자에게 화 있을찐저
  "Woe to him who gives drink to his neighbors, pouring it from the wineskin till they are drunk, so that he can gaze on their naked bodies.

16. 네게 영광이 아니요 수치가 가득한즉 너도 마시고 너의 할례 아니한 것을 드러내라 여호와의 오른손의 잔이 네게로 돌아올 것이라 더러운 욕이 네 영광을 가리우리라
  You will be filled with shame instead of glory. Now it is your turn! Drink and be exposed! The cup from the LORD'S right hand is coming around to you, and disgrace will cover your glory.

17. 대저 네가 레바논에 강포를 행한 것과 짐승을 두렵게 하여 잔해한 것 곧 사람의 피를 흘리며 땅과 성읍과 그 모든 거민에게 강포를 행한 것이 네게로 돌아오리라
  The violence you have done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, and your destruction of animals will terrify you. For you have shed man's blood; you have destroyed lands and cities and everyone in them.

18. 새긴 우상은 그 새겨 만든 자에게 무엇이 유익하겠느냐 부어 만든 우상은 거짓 스승이라 만든 자가 이 말하지 못하는 우상을 의지하니 무엇이 유익하겠느냐
  "Of what value is an idol, since a man has carved it? Or an image that teaches lies? For he who makes it trusts in his own creation; he makes idols that cannot speak.

19. 나무더러 깨라 하며 말하지 못하는 돌더러 일어나라 하는 자에게 화 있을찐저 그것이 교훈을 베풀겠느냐 보라 이는 금과 은으로 입힌 것인즉 그 속에는 생기가 도무지 없느니라
  Woe to him who says to wood, 'Come to life!' Or to lifeless stone, 'Wake up!' Can it give guidance? It is covered with gold and silver; there is no breath in it.

20. 오직 여호와는 그 성전에 계시니 온 천하는 그 앞에서 잠잠할찌니라
  But the LORD is in his holy temple; let all the earth be silent before him."

누가복음 21

1. 예수께서 눈을 들어 부자들이 연보궤에 헌금 넣는 것을 보시고
  As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury.

2. 또 어떤 가난한 과부의 두 렙돈 넣는 것을 보시고
  He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.

3. 가라사대 내가 참으로 너희에게 말하노니 이 가난한 과부가 모든 사람보다 많이 넣었도다
  "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others.

4. 저들은 그 풍족한 중에서 헌금을 넣었거니와 이 과부는 그 구차한 중에서 자기의 있는 바 생활비 전부를 넣었느니라 하시니라
  All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

5. 어떤 사람들이 성전을 가리켜 그 미석과 헌물로 꾸민 것을 말하매 예수께서 가라사대
  Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,

6. 너희 보는 이것들이 날이 이르면 돌 하나도 돌 위에 남지 않고 다 무너뜨리우리라
  "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down."

7. 저희가 물어 가로되 선생님이여 그러면 어느 때에 이런 일이 있겠사오며 이런 일이 이루려 할 때에 무슨 징조가 있사오리이까
  "Teacher," they asked, "when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?"

8. 가라사대 미혹을 받지 않도록 주의하라 많은 사람이 내 이름으로 와서 이르되 내가 그로라 하며 때가 가까왔다 하겠으나 저희를 좇지 말라
  He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.

9. 난리와 소란의 소문을 들을 때에 두려워 말라 이 일이 먼저 있어야 하되 끝은 곧 되지 아니하니라
  When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away."

10. 또 이르시되 민족이 민족을, 나라가 나라를 대적하여 일어나겠고
  Then he said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

11. 처처에 큰 지진과 기근과 온역이 있겠고 또 무서운 일과 하늘로서 큰 징조들이 있으리라
  There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

12. 이 모든 일 전에 내 이름을 인하여 너희에게 손을 대어 핍박하며 회당과 옥에 넘겨 주며 임금들과 관장들 앞에 끌어가려니와
  "But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.

13. 이 일이 도리어 너희에게 증거가 되리라
  This will result in your being witnesses to them.

14. 그러므로 너희는 변명할 것을 미리 연구치 않기로 결심하라
  But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.

15. 내가 너희의 모든 대적이 능히 대항하거나 변박할 수 없는 구재와 지혜를 너희에게 주리라
  For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.

16. 심지어 부모와 형제와 친척과 벗이 너희를 넘겨 주어 너희 중에 몇을 죽이게 하겠고
  You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.

17. 또 너희가 내 이름을 인하여 모든 사람에게 미움을 받을 것이나
  All men will hate you because of me.

18. 너희 머리털 하나도 상치 아니하리라
  But not a hair of your head will perish.

19. 너희의 인내로 너희 영혼을 얻으리라
  By standing firm you will gain life.

20. 너희가 예루살렘이 군대들에게 에워싸이는 것을 보거든 그 멸망이 가까운 줄을 알라
  "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.

21. 그 때에 유대에 있는 자들은 산으로 도망할찌며 성내에 있는 자들은 나갈찌며 촌에 있는 자들은 그리로 들어가지 말찌어다
  Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.

22. 이 날들은 기록된 모든 것을 이루는 형벌의 날이니라
  For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.

23. 그 날에는 아이 밴 자들과 젖 먹이는 자들에게 화가 있으리니 이는 땅에 큰 환난과 이 백성에게 진노가 있겠음이로다
  How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.

24. 저희가 칼날에 죽임을 당하며 모든 이방에 사로잡혀 가겠고 예루살렘은 이방인의 때가 차기까지 이방인들에게 밟히리라
  They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

25. 일월성신에는 징조가 있겠고 땅에서는 민족들이 바다와 파도의 우는 소리를 인하여 혼란한 중에 곤고하리라
  "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.

26. 사람들이 세상에 임할 일을 생각하고 무서워하므로 기절하리니 이는 하늘의 권능들이 흔들리겠음이라
  Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

27. 그 때에 사람들이 인자가 구름을 타고 능력과 큰 영광으로 오는 것을 보리라
  At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28. 이런 일이 되기를 시작하거든 일어나 머리를 들라 너희 구속이 가까왔느니라 하시더라
  When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

29. 이에 비유로 이르시되 무화과나무와 모든 나무를 보라
  He told them this parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees.

30. 싹이 나면 너희가 보고 여름이 가까운 줄을 자연히 아나니
  When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.

31. 이와 같이 너희가 이런 일이 나는 것을 보거든 하나님의 나라가 가까운 줄을 알라
  Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.

32. 내가 진실로 너희에게 말하노니 이 세대가 지나가기 전에 모든 일이 다 이루리라
  "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

33. 천지는 없어지겠으나 내 말은 없어지지 아니하리라
  Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

34. 너희는 스스로 조심하라 그렇지 않으면 방탕함과 술 취함과 생활의 염려로 마음이 둔하여지고 뜻밖에 그 날이 덫과 같이 너희에게 임하리라
  "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.

35. 이 날은 온 지구상에 거하는 모든 사람에게 임하리라
  For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

36. 이러므로 너희는 장차 올 이 모든 일을 능히 피하고 인자 앞에 서도록 항상 기도하며 깨어 있으라 하시니라
  Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."

37. 예수께서 낮이면 성전에서 가르치시고 밤이면 나가 감람원이라 하는 산에서 쉬시니
  Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives,

38. 모든 백성이 그 말씀을 들으려고 이른 아침에 성전에 나아가더라
  and all the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.
