사사기 12

1. 에브라임 사람들이 모여 북으로 가서 입다에게 이르되 네가 암몬 자손과 싸우러 건너갈 때에 어찌하여 우리를 불러 너와 함께 가게 하지 아니하였느냐 우리가 반드시 불로 너와 네 집을 사르리라
  The men of Ephraim called out their forces, crossed over to Zaphon and said to Jephthah, "Why did you go to fight the Ammonites without calling us to go with you? We're going to burn down your house over your head."

2. 입다가 그들에게 이르되 나와 나의 백성이 암몬 자손과 크게 다툴 때에 내가 너희를 부르되 너희가 나를 그들의 손에서 구원하지 아니한 고로
  Jephthah answered, "I and my people were engaged in a great struggle with the Ammonites, and although I called, you didn't save me out of their hands.

3. 내가 너희의 구원치 아니하는 것을 보고 내 생명을 돌아보지 아니하고 건너가서 암몬 자손을 쳤더니 여호와께서 그들을 내 손에 붙이셨거늘 너희가 어찌하여 오늘날 내게 올라와서 나로 더불어 싸우고자 하느냐 하고
  When I saw that you wouldn't help, I took my life in my hands and crossed over to fight the Ammonites, and the LORD gave me the victory over them. Now why have you come up today to fight me?"

4. 입다가 길르앗 사람을 다 모으고 에브라임과 싸웠더니 길르앗 사람들이 에브라임을 쳐서 파하였으니 이는 에브라임의 말이 너희 길르앗 사람은 본래 에브라임에서 도망한 자로서 에브라임과 므낫세 중에 있다 하였음이라
  Jephthah then called together the men of Gilead and fought against Ephraim. The Gileadites struck them down because the Ephraimites had said, "You Gileadites are renegades from Ephraim and Manasseh."

5. 길르앗 사람이 에브라임 사람 앞서 요단 나루턱을 잡아 지키고 에브라임 사람의 도망하는 자가 말하기를 청컨대 나로 건너게 하라 하면 그에게 묻기를 네가 에브라임 사람이냐 하여 그가 만일 아니라 하면
  The Gileadites captured the fords of the Jordan leading to Ephraim, and whenever a survivor of Ephraim said, "Let me cross over," the men of Gilead asked him, "Are you an Ephraimite?" If he replied, "No,"

6. 그에게 이르기를 십볼렛이라 하라 하여 에브라임 사람이 능히 구음을 바로 하지 못하고 씹볼렛이라 하면 길르앗 사람이 곧 그를 잡아서 요단 나루턱에서 죽였더라 그 때에 에브라임 사람의 죽은 자가 사만 이천명이었더라
  they said, "All right, say 'Shibboleth.'" If he said, "Sibboleth," because he could not pronounce the word correctly, they seized him and killed him at the fords of the Jordan. Forty-two thousand Ephraimites were killed at that time.

7. 입다가 이스라엘 사사가 된 지 육 년이라 길르앗 사람 입다가 죽으매 길르앗 한 성읍에 장사되었더라
  Jephthah led Israel six years. Then Jephthah the Gileadite died, and was buried in a town in Gilead.

8. 그의 뒤에는 베들레헴 입산이 이스라엘의 사사이었더라
  After him, Ibzan of Bethlehem led Israel.

9. 그가 아들 삼십과 딸 삼십을 두었더니 딸들은 타국으로 시집보내었고 아들들을 위하여는 타국에서 여자 삼십을 데려왔더라 그가 이스라엘 사사가 된 지 칠 년이라
  He had thirty sons and thirty daughters. He gave his daughters away in marriage to those outside his clan, and for his sons he brought in thirty young women as wives from outside his clan. Ibzan led Israel seven years.

10. 입산이 죽으매 베들레헴에 장사되었더라
  Then Ibzan died, and was buried in Bethlehem.

11. 그의 뒤에는 스불론 사람 엘론이 이스라엘의 사사가 되어 십 년 동안 이스라엘을 다스렸더라
  After him, Elon the Zebulunite led Israel ten years.

12. 스불론 사람 엘론이 죽으매 스불론 땅 아얄론에 장사되었더라
  Then Elon died, and was buried in Aijalon in the land of Zebulun.

13. 그의 뒤에는 비라돈 사람 힐렐의 아들 압돈이 이스라엘의 사사이었더라
  After him, Abdon son of Hillel, from Pirathon, led Israel.

14. 그에게 아들 사십과 손자 삼십이 있어서 어린 나귀 칠십 필을 탔었더라 압돈이 이스라엘의 사사가 된 지 팔 년이라
  He had forty sons and thirty grandsons, who rode on seventy donkeys. He led Israel eight years.

15. 비라돈 사람 힐렐의 아들 압돈이 죽으매 에브라임 땅 아말렉 사람의 산지 비라돈에 장사되었더라
  Then Abdon son of Hillel died, and was buried at Pirathon in Ephraim, in the hill country of the Amalekites.

사도행전 16

1. 바울이 더베와 루스드라에도 이르매 거기 디모데라 하는 제자가 있으니 그 모친은 믿는 유대 여자요 부친은 헬라인이라
  He came to Derbe and then to Lystra, where a disciple named Timothy lived, whose mother was a Jewess and a believer, but whose father was a Greek.

2. 디모데는 루스드라와 이고니온에 있는 형제들에게 칭찬받는 자니
  The brothers at Lystra and Iconium spoke well of him.

3. 바울이 그를 데리고 떠나고자 할쌔 그 지경에 있는 유대인을 인하여 그를 데려다가 할례를 행하니 이는 그 사람들이 그의 부친은 헬라인인줄 다 앎이러라
  Paul wanted to take him along on the journey, so he circumcised him because of the Jews who lived in that area, for they all knew that his father was a Greek.

4. 여러 성으로 다녀갈 때에 예루살렘에 있는 사도와 장로들의 작정한 규례를 저희에게 주어 지키게 하니
  As they traveled from town to town, they delivered the decisions reached by the apostles and elders in Jerusalem for the people to obey.

5. 이에 여러 교회가 믿음이 더 굳어지고 수가 날마다 더하니라
  So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.

6. 성령이 아시아에서 말씀을 전하지 못하게 하시거늘 브루기아와 갈라디아 땅으로 다녀가
  Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia.

7. 무시아 앞에 이르러 비두니아로 가고자 애쓰되 예수의 영이 허락지 아니하시는지라
  When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.

8. 무시아를 지나 드로아로 내려갔는데
  So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas.

9. 밤에 환상이 바울에게 보이니 마게도냐 사람 하나가 서서 그에게 청하여 가로되 마게도냐로 건너와서 우리를 도우라 하거늘
  During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us."

10. 바울이 이 환상을 본 후에 우리가 곧 마게도냐로 떠나기를 힘쓰니 이는 하나님이 저 사람들에게 복음을 전하라고 우리를 부르신 줄로 인정함이러라
  After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.

11. 드로아에서 배로 떠나 사모드라게로 직행하여 이튿날 네압볼리로 가고
  From Troas we put out to sea and sailed straight for Samothrace, and the next day on to Neapolis.

12. 거기서 빌립보에 이르니 이는 마게도냐 지경 첫성이요 또 로마의 식민지라 이 성에서 수일을 유하다가
  From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.

13. 안식일에 우리가 기도처가 있는가 하여 문 밖 강가에 나가 거기 앉아서 모인 여자들에게 말하더니
  On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river, where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to the women who had gathered there.

14. 두아디라 성의 자주 장사로서 하나님을 공경하는 루디아라 하는 한 여자가 들었는데 주께서 그 마음을 열어 바울의 말을 청종하게 하신지라
  One of those listening was a woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message.

15. 저와 그 집이 다 세례를 받고 우리에게 청하여 가로되 만일 나를 주 믿는 자로 알거든 내 집에 들어와 유하라 하고 강권하여 있게 하니라
  When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. "If you consider me a believer in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my house." And she persuaded us.

16. 우리가 기도하는 곳에 가다가 점하는 귀신들린 여종 하나를 만나니 점으로 그 주인들을 크게 이하게 하는 자라
  Once when we were going to the place of prayer, we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of money for her owners by fortune-telling.

17. 바울과 우리를 좇아와서 소리질러 가로되 이 사람들은 지극히 높은 하나님의 종으로 구원의 길을 너희에게 전하는 자라 하며
  This girl followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved."

 

18. 이같이 여러 날을 하는지라 바울이 심히 괴로와하여 돌이켜 그 귀신에게 이르되 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 내가 네게 명하노니 그에게서 나오라 하니 귀신이 즉시 나오니라
  She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that he turned around and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At that moment the spirit left her.

19. 종의 주인들은 자기 이익의 소망이 끊어진 것을 보고 바울과 실라를 잡아가지고 저자로 관원들에게 끌어갔다가
  When the owners of the slave girl realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities.

20. 상관들 앞에 데리고 가서 말하되 이 사람들이 유대인인데 우리 성을 심히 요란케 하여
  They brought them before the magistrates and said, "These men are Jews, and are throwing our city into an uproar

21. 로마 사람인 우리가 받지도 못하고 행치도 못할 풍속을 전한다 하거늘
  by advocating customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or practice."

22. 무리가 일제히 일어나 송사하니 상관들이 옷을 찢어 벗기고 매로 치라 하여
  The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten.

23. 많이 친 후에 옥에 가두고 간수에게 분부하여 든든히 지키라 하니
  After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.

24. 그가 이러한 영을 받아 저희를 깊은 옥에 가두고 그 발을 착고에 든든히 채웠더니
  Upon receiving such orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.

25. 밤중쯤 되어 바울과 실라가 기도하고 하나님을 찬미하매 죄수들이 듣더라
  About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.

26. 이에 홀연히 큰 지진이 나서 옥터가 움직이고 문이 곧 다 열리며 모든 사람의 매인 것이 다 벗어진지라
  Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose.

27. 간수가 자다가 깨어 옥문들이 열린 것을 보고 죄수들이 도망한 줄 생각하고 검을 빼어 자결하려 하거늘
  The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.

28. 바울이 크게 소리질러 가로되 네 몸을 상하지 말라 우리가 다 여기 있노라 하니
  But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We are all here!"

29. 간수가 등불을 달라고 하며 뛰어들어가 무서워 떨며 바울과 실라 앞에 부복하고
  The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.

30. 저희를 데리고 나가 가로되 선생들아 내가 어떻게 하여야 구원을 얻으리이까 하거늘
  He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

31. 가로되 주 예수를 믿으라 그리하면 너와 네 집이 구원을 얻으리라 하고
  They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

32. 주의 말씀을 그 사람과 그 집에 있는 모든 사람에게 전하더라
  Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house.

33. 밤 그 시에 간수가 저희를 데려다가 그 맞은 자리를 씻기고 자기와 그 권속이 다 세례를 받은 후
  At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized.

34. 저희를 데리고 자기 집에 올라가서 음식을 차려 주고 저와 온 집이 하나님을 믿었으므로 크게 기뻐하니라
  The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God--he and his whole family.

35. 날이 새매 상관들이 아전을 보내어 이 사람들을 놓으라 하니
  When it was daylight, the magistrates sent their officers to the jailer with the order: "Release those men."

36. 간수가 이 말대로 바울에게 고하되 상관들이 사람을 보내어 너희를 놓으라 하였으니 이제는 나가서 평안히 가라 하거늘
  The jailer told Paul, "The magistrates have ordered that you and Silas be released. Now you can leave. Go in peace."

37. 바울이 이르되 로마 사람인 우리를 죄도 정치 아니하고 공중 앞에서 때리고 옥에 가두었다가 이제는 가만히 우리를 내어 보내고자 하느냐 아니라 저희가 친히 와서 우리를 데리고 나가야 하리라 한대
  But Paul said to the officers: "They beat us publicly without a trial, even though we are Roman citizens, and threw us into prison. And now do they want to get rid of us quietly? No! Let them come themselves and escort us out."

38. 아전들이 이 말로 상관들에게 고하니 저희가 로마 사람이라 하는 말을 듣고 두려워하여
  The officers reported this to the magistrates, and when they heard that Paul and Silas were Roman citizens, they were alarmed.

39. 와서 권하여 데리고 나가 성에서 떠나기를 청하니
  They came to appease them and escorted them from the prison, requesting them to leave the city.

40. 두 사람이 옥에서 나가 루디아의 집에 들어가서 형제들을 만나 보고 위로하고 가니라
  After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia's house, where they met with the brothers and encouraged them. Then they left.

예레미야 25

1. 유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김 사년 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살 원년에 유다 모든 백성에 관한 말씀이 예레미야에게 임하니라
  The word came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, which was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

2. 선지자 예레미야가 유다 모든 백성과 예루살렘 모든 거민에게 고하여 가로되
  So Jeremiah the prophet said to all the people of Judah and to all those living in Jerusalem:

3. 유다 왕 아몬의 아들 요시야의 십삼년부터 오늘까지 이십삼 년 동안에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하기로 내가 너희에게 이르되 부지런히 일렀으나 너희가 듣지 아니하였으며
  For twenty-three years--from the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day--the word of the LORD has come to me and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.

4. 여호와께서 그 모든 종 선지자를 너희에게 보내시되 부지런히 보내셨으나 너희가 듣지 아니하였으며 귀를 기울여 들으려고도 아니하였도다
  And though the LORD has sent all his servants the prophets to you again and again, you have not listened or paid any attention.

5. 이르시기를 너희는 각기 악한 길과 너희 악행에서 돌이키라 그리하면 나 여호와가 너희와 너희 열조에게 옛적에 주어 영원히 있게 한 그 땅에 거하리니
  They said, "Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways and your evil practices, and you can stay in the land the LORD gave to you and your fathers for ever and ever.

6. 너희는 다른 신을 좇아 섬기거나 숭배하지 말며 너희 손으로 만든 것을 인하여 나의 노를 격동치 말라 그리하면 내가 너희를 해치 아니하리라 하였으나
  Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them; do not provoke me to anger with what your hands have made. Then I will not harm you."

7. 너희가 내 말을 듣지 아니하고 너희 손으로 만든 것으로 나의 노를 격동하여 스스로 해하였느니라 여호와의 말이니라
  "But you did not listen to me," declares the LORD, "and you have provoked me with what your hands have made, and you have brought harm to yourselves."

8. 그러므로 나 만군의 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희가 내 말을 듣지 아니하였은즉
  Therefore the LORD Almighty says this: "Because you have not listened to my words,

9. 보라 내가 보내어 북방 모든 족속과 내 종 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살을 불러다가 이 땅과 그 거민과 사방 모든 나라를 쳐서 진멸하여 그들로 놀램과 치소거리가 되게 하며 땅으로 영영한 황무지가 되게 할 것이라
  I will summon all the peoples of the north and my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon," declares the LORD, "and I will bring them against this land and its inhabitants and against all the surrounding nations. I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and scorn, and an everlasting ruin.

10. 내가 그들 중에서 기뻐하는 소리와 즐거워하는 소리와 신랑의 소리와 신부의 소리와 맷돌 소리와 등불 빛이 끊쳐지게 하리니
  I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of bride and bridegroom, the sound of millstones and the light of the lamp.

11. 이 온 땅이 황폐하여 놀램이 될 것이며 이 나라들은 칠십 년 동안 바벨론 왕을 섬기리라
  This whole country will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

12. 나 여호와가 말하노라 칠십 년이 마치면 내가 바벨론 왕과 그 나라와 갈대아인의 땅을 그 죄악으로 인하여 벌하여 영영히 황무케 하되
  "But when the seventy years are fulfilled, I will punish the king of Babylon and his nation, the land of the Babylonians, for their guilt," declares the LORD, "and will make it desolate forever.

13. 내가 그 땅에 대하여 선고한 바 곧 예레미야가 열방에 대하여 예언하고 이 책에 기록한 나의 모든 말을 그 땅에 임하게 하리니
  I will bring upon that land all the things I have spoken against it, all that are written in this book and prophesied by Jeremiah against all the nations.

14. 여러 나라와 큰 왕들이 그들로 자기 역군을 삼으리라 내가 그들의 행위와 그들의 손의 행한대로 보응하리라 하시니라
  They themselves will be enslaved by many nations and great kings; I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands."

15. 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 내게 이르시되 너는 내 손에서 이 진노의 잔을 받아 가지고 내가 너를 보내는 바 그 모든 나라로 마시게 하라
  This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: "Take from my hand this cup filled with the wine of my wrath and make all the nations to whom I send you drink it.

16. 그들이 마시고 비틀거리며 미치리니 이는 내가 그들 중에 칼을 보냄을 인함이니라 하시기로
  When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad because of the sword I will send among them."

17. 내가 여호와의 손에서 그 잔을 받아서 여호와께서 나를 보내신 바 그 모든 나라로 마시게 하되
  So I took the cup from the LORD'S hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it:

18. 예루살렘과 유다 성읍들과 그 왕들과 그 방백들로 마시게 하였더니 그들이 멸망과 놀램과 치소와 저주를 당함이 오늘날과 같으니라
  Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn and cursing, as they are today;

19. 또 애굽 왕 바로와 그의 신하들과 그의 방백들과 그의 모든 백성과
  Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people,

20. 모든 잡족과 우스 땅 모든 왕과 블레셋 사람의 땅 모든 왕과 아스글론과 가사와 에그론과 아스돗의 남은 자와
  and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines (those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod);

21. 에돔과 모압과 암몬 자손과
  Edom, Moab and Ammon;

22. 두로의 모든 왕과 시돈의 모든 왕과 바다 저편 섬의 왕들과
  all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea;

23. 드단과 데마와 부스와 털을 모지게 깎은 모든 자와
  Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places;

24. 아라비아 모든 왕과 광야에 거하는 잡족의 모든 왕과
  all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert;

25. 시므리의 모든 왕과 엘람의 모든 왕과 메대의 모든 왕과
  all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media;

26. 북방 원근의 모든 왕과 지면에 있는 세상의 모든 나라로 마시게 하니라 세삭 왕은 그 후에 마시리라
  and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other--all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshach will drink it too.

27. 너는 그들에게 이르기를 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님의 말씀에 너희는 마시라 취하라 토하라 엎드러지고 다시는 일어나지 말라 이는 내가 너희 중에 칼을 보냄을 인함이니라 하셨다 하라
  "Then tell them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Drink, get drunk and vomit, and fall to rise no more because of the sword I will send among you.'

28. 그들이 만일 네 손에서 잔을 받아 마시기를 거절하거든 너는 그들에게 이르기를 만군의 여호와의 말씀에 너희가 반드시 마시리라
  But if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink, tell them, 'This is what the LORD Almighty says: You must drink it!

29. 보라 내가 내 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 성에서부터 재앙 내리기를 시작하였은즉 너희가 어찌 능히 형벌을 면할 수 있느냐 면치 못하리니 이는 내가 칼을 불러 세상의 모든 거민을 칠 것임이니라 하셨다 하라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라
  See, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears my Name, and will you indeed go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword upon all who live on the earth, declares the LORD Almighty.'

30. 그러므로 너는 그들에게 이 모든 말로 예언하여 이르기를 여호와께서 높은 데서 부르시며 그 거룩한 처소에서 소리를 발하시며 그 양의 우리를 향하여 크게 부르시며 세상 모든 거민을 대하여 포도 밟는 자같이 외치시리니
  "Now prophesy all these words against them and say to them: "'The LORD will roar from on high; he will thunder from his holy dwelling and roar mightily against his land. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, shout against all who live on the earth.

31. 요란한 소리가 땅 끝까지 이름은 여호와께서 열국과 다투시며 모든 육체를 심판하시며 악인을 칼에 붙이심을 인함이라 하라 여호와의 말이니라
  The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth, for the LORD will bring charges against the nations; he will bring judgment on all mankind and put the wicked to the sword,'" declares the LORD.

32. 나 만군의 여호와가 말하노라 보라 재앙이 나서 나라에서 나라에 미칠 것이며 대풍이 땅 끝에서 일어날 것이라
  This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth."

33. 그 날에 나 여호와에게 살륙을 당한 자가 땅 이 끝에서 땅 저 끝에 미칠 것이나 그들이 슬퍼함을 받지 못하며 염습함을 입지 못하며 매장함을 얻지 못하고 지면에서 분토가 되리로다
  At that time those slain by the LORD will be everywhere--from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground.

34. 너희 목자들아 외쳐 애곡하라 너희 양 떼의 인도자들아 재에 굴라 이는 너희 도륙을 당할 날과 흩음을 당할 기한이 찼음인즉 너희가 귀한 그릇의 떨어짐같이 될 것이라
  Weep and wail, you shepherds; roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. For your time to be slaughtered has come; you will fall and be shattered like fine pottery.

35. 목자들은 도망할 수 없겠고 양 떼의 인도자들은 도피할 수 없으리로다
  The shepherds will have nowhere to flee, the leaders of the flock no place to escape.

36. 목자들의 부르짖음과 양 떼의 인도자들의 애곡하는 소리여 나 여호와가 그들의 초장으로 황폐케 함이로다
  Hear the cry of the shepherds, the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for the LORD is destroying their pasture.

37. 평안한 목장들이 적막하니 이는 여호와의 진노의 연고로다
  The peaceful meadows will be laid waste because of the fierce anger of the LORD.

38. 그가 사자같이 그 소혈에서 나오셨도다 그 잔멸하는 자의 진노와 그 극렬한 분으로 인하여 그들의 땅이 황량하였도다
  Like a lion he will leave his lair, and their land will become desolate because of the sword of the oppressor and because of the LORD'S fierce anger.

마가복음 11

1. 저희가 예루살렘에 가까이 와서 감람 산 벳바게와 베다니에 이르렀을 때에 예수께서 제자 중 둘을 보내시며
  As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples,

2. 이르시되 너희 맞은편 마을로 가라 그리로 들어가면 곧 아직 아무 사람도 타 보지 않은 나귀 새끼의 매여 있는 것을 보리니 풀어 끌고 오너라
  saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

3. 만일 누가 너희에게 왜 이리 하느냐 묻거든 주가 쓰시겠다 하라 그리하면 즉시 이리로 보내리라 하시니
  If anyone asks you, 'Why are you doing this?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.'"

4. 제자들이 가서 본즉 나귀 새끼가 문 앞 거리에 매여 있는지라 그것을 푸니
  They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it,

5. 거기 섰는 사람 중 어떤 이들이 가로되 나귀 새끼를 풀어 무엇하려느냐 하매
  some people standing there asked, "What are you doing, untying that colt?"

6. 제자들이 예수의 이르신 대로 말한대 이에 허락하는지라
  They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go.

7. 나귀 새끼를 예수께로 끌고 와서 자기들의 겉옷을 그 위에 걸쳐 두매 예수께서 타시니
  When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it.

8. 많은 사람은 자기 겉옷과 다른이들은 밭에서 벤 나무가지를 길에 펴며
  Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

9. 앞에서 가고 뒤에서 따르는 자들이 소리지르되 호산나 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 이여
  Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, "Hosanna!" "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"

10. 찬송하리로다 오는 우리 조상 다윗의 나라여 가장 높은 곳에서 호산나 하더라
  "Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!" "Hosanna in the highest!"

11. 예수께서 예루살렘에 이르러 성전에 들어가사 모든 것을 둘러보시고 때가 이미 저물매 열두 제자를 데리시고 베다니에 나가시다
  Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the temple. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

12. 이튿날 저희가 베다니에서 나왔을 때에 예수께서 시장하신지라
  The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry.

13. 멀리서 잎사귀 있는 한 무화과나무를 보시고 혹 그 나무에 무엇이 있을까 하여 가셨더니 가서 보신즉 잎사귀 외에 아무것도 없더라 이는 무화과의 때가 아님이라
  Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.

14. 예수께서 나무에게 일러 가라사대 이제부터 영원토록 사람이 네게서 열매를 따먹지 못하리라 하시니 제자들이 이를 듣더라
  Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard him say it.

15. 저희가 예루살렘에 들어가니라 예수께서 성전에 들어가사 성전 안에서 매매하는 자들을 내어쫓으시며 돈 바꾸는 자들의 상과 비둘기 파는 자들의 의자를 둘러 엎으시며
  On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,

16. 아무나 기구를 가지고 성전 안으로 지나다님을 허치 아니하시고
  and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts.

17. 이에 가르쳐 이르시되 기록된 바 내 집은 만민의 기도하는 집이라 칭함을 받으리라고 하지 아니하였느냐 너희는 강도의 굴혈을 만들었도다 하시매
  And as he taught them, he said, "Is it not written: "'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it 'a den of robbers.'"

18. 대제사장들과 서기관들이 듣고 예수를 어떻게 멸할까 하고 꾀하니 이는 무리가 다 그의 교훈을 기이히 여기므로 그를 두려워함일러라
  The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.

19. 매양 저물매 저희가 성 밖으로 나가더라
  When evening came, they went out of the city.

20. 저희가 아침에 지나갈 때에 무화과나무가 뿌리로부터 마른 것을 보고
  In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.

21. 베드로가 생각이 나서 여짜오되 랍비여 보소서 저주하신 무화과나무가 말랐나이다
  Peter remembered and said to Jesus, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!"

22. 예수께서 대답하여 저희에게 이르시되 하나님을 믿으라
  "Have faith in God," Jesus answered.

23. 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 누구든지 이 산더러 들리어 바다에 던지우라 하며 그 말하는 것이 이룰 줄 믿고 마음에 의심치 아니하면 그대로 되리라
  "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

24. 그러므로 내가 너희에게 말하노니 무엇이든지 기도하고 구하는 것은 받은 줄로 믿으라 그리하면 너희에게 그대로 되리라
  Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

25. 서서 기도할 때에 아무에게나 혐의가 있거든 용서하라 그리하여야 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지도 너희 허물을 사하여 주시리라 하셨더라
  And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

27. 저희가 다시 예루살렘에 들어가니라 예수께서 성전에서 걸어다니실 때에 대제사장들과 서기관들과 장로들이 나아와
  They arrived again in Jerusalem, and while Jesus was walking in the temple courts, the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders came to him.

28. 가로되 무슨 권세로 이런 일을 하느뇨 누가 이런 일할 이 권세를 주었느뇨
  "By what authority are you doing these things?" they asked. "And who gave you authority to do this?"

29. 예수께서 가라사대 나도 한 말을 너희에게 물으리니 대답하라 그리하면 나도 무슨 권세로 이런 일을 하는지 이르리라
  Jesus replied, "I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

30. 요한의 세례가 하늘로서냐 사람에게로서냐 내게 대답하라
  John's baptism--was it from heaven, or from men? Tell me!"

31. 저희가 서로 의논하여 가로되 만일 하늘로서라 하면 어찌하여 저를 믿지 아니하였느냐 할 것이니
  They discussed it among themselves and said, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will ask, 'Then why didn't you believe him?'

32. 그러면 사람에게로서라 할까 하였으나 모든 사람이 요한을 참 선지자로 여기므로 저희가 백성을 무서워하는지라
  But if we say, 'From men' . . . ." (They feared the people, for everyone held that John really was a prophet.)

33. 이에 예수께 대답하여 가로되 우리가 알지 못하노라 하니 예수께서 가라사대 나도 무슨 권세로 이런 일을 하는지 너희에게 이르지 아니하리라 하시니라
  So they answered Jesus, "We don't know." Jesus said, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things."
