여호수아 12-13

1. 이스라엘 자손이 요단 저편 해돋는 편 곧 아르논 골짜기에서 헤르몬 산까지의 동방 온 아라바를 점령하고 그 땅에서 쳐죽인 왕들은 이러하니라
  These are the kings of the land whom the Israelites had defeated and whose territory they took over east of the Jordan, from the Arnon Gorge to Mount Hermon, including all the eastern side of the Arabah:

2. 헤스본에 거하던 아모리 사람의 왕 시혼이라 그 다스리던 땅은 아르논 골짜기 가에 있는 아로엘에서부터 골짜기 가운데 성읍과 길르앗 절반 곧 암몬 자손의 지경 얍복 강까지며
  Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon. He ruled from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge--from the middle of the gorge--to the Jabbok River, which is the border of the Ammonites. This included half of Gilead.

3. 또 동방 아라바 긴네롯 바다까지며 또 동방 아라바의 바다 곧 염해의 벧여시못으로 통한 길까지와 남편으로 비스가 산록까지며
  He also ruled over the eastern Arabah from the Sea of Kinnereth to the Sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea), to Beth Jeshimoth, and then southward below the slopes of Pisgah.

4. 또 르바의 남은 족속으로서 아스다롯과 에드레이에 거하던 바산 왕 옥이라
  And the territory of Og king of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaites, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei.

5. 그 치리하던 땅은 헤르몬 산과 살르가와 온 바산과 및 그술 사람과 마아가 사람의 지경까지의 길르앗 절반이니 헤스본 왕 시혼의 지경에 접한 것이라
  He ruled over Mount Hermon, Salecah, all of Bashan to the border of the people of Geshur and Maacah, and half of Gilead to the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

6. 여호와의 종 모세와 이스라엘 자손이 그들을 치고 여호와의 종 모세가 그 땅을 르우벤 사람과 갓 사람과 므낫세 반 지파에게 기업으로 주었더라
  Moses, the servant of the LORD, and the Israelites conquered them. And Moses the servant of the LORD gave their land to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh to be their possession.

7. 여호수아와 이스라엘 자손이 요단 이편 곧 서편 레바논 골짜기의 바알갓에서부터 세일로 올라가는 곳 할락 산까지에서 쳐서 멸한 왕들은 이러하니 (그 땅을 여호수아가 이스라엘의 구별을 따라 그 지파에게 기업으로 주었으니
  These are the kings of the land that Joshua and the Israelites conquered on the west side of the Jordan, from Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon to Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir (their lands Joshua gave as an inheritance to the tribes of Israel according to their tribal divisions--

8. 곧 산지와 평지와 아라바와 경사지와 광야와 남방 곧 헷 사람과 아모리 사람과 가나안 사람과 브리스 사람과 히위 사람과 여부스 사람의 땅이라)
  the hill country, the western foothills, the Arabah, the mountain slopes, the desert and the Negev--the lands of the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites):

9. 하나는 여리고 왕이요 하나는 벧엘 곁의 아이 왕이요
  the king of Jericho one the king of Ai (near Bethel) one

10. 하나는 예루살렘 왕이요 하나는 헤브론 왕이요 하나는 야르뭇 왕이요
  the king of Jerusalem one the king of Hebron one

11. 하나는 라기스 왕이요
  the king of Jarmuth one the king of Lachish one

12. 하나는 에글론 왕이요 하나는 게셀 왕이요
  the king of Eglon one the king of Gezer one

13. 하나는 드빌 왕이요 하나는 게델 왕이요
  the king of Debir one the king of Geder one

14. 하나는 호르마 왕이요 하나는 아랏 왕이요
  the king of Hormah one the king of Arad one

15. 하나는 립나 왕이요 하나는 아둘람 왕이요
  the king of Libnah one the king of Adullam one

16. 하나는 막게다 왕이요 하나는 벧엘 왕이요
  the king of Makkedah one the king of Bethel one

17. 하나는 답부아 왕이요 하나는 헤벨 왕이요
  the king of Tappuah one the king of Hepher one

18. 하나는 아벡 왕이요 하나는 랏사론 왕이요
  the king of Aphek one the king of Lasharon one

19. 하나는 마돈 왕이요 하나는 하솔 왕이요
  the king of Madon one the king of Hazor one

20. 하나는 시므론 므론 왕이요 하나는 악삽 왕이요
  the king of Shimron Meron one the king of Acshaph one

21. 하나는 다아낙 왕이요 하나는 므깃도 왕이요
  the king of Taanach one the king of Megiddo one

22. 하나는 게데스 왕이요 하나는 갈멜의 욕느암 왕이요
  the king of Kedesh one the king of Jokneam in Carmel one

23. 하나는 돌의 높은 곳의 돌 왕이요 하나는 길갈의 고임 왕이요
  the king of Dor (in Naphoth Dor) one the king of Goyim in Gilgal one

24. 하나는 디르사 왕이라 도합 삼십 일 왕이었더라
  the king of Tirzah one thirty-one kings in all.

1. 여호수아가 나이 많아 늙으매 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 너는 나이 많아 늙었고 얻을 땅의 남은 것은 매우 많도다
  When Joshua was old and well advanced in years, the LORD said to him, "You are very old, and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over.

2. 이 남은 땅은 이러하니 블레셋 사람의 온 지방과 그술 사람의 전경
  "This is the land that remains: all the regions of the Philistines and Geshurites:

3. 곧 애굽 앞 시홀 시내에서부터 가나안 사람에게 속한 북방 에그론 지경까지와 블레셋 사람의 다섯 방백의 땅 곧 가사 사람과 아스돗 사람과 아스글론 사람과 가드 사람과 에그론 사람과 또 남방 아위 사람의 땅과
  from the Shihor River on the east of Egypt to the territory of Ekron on the north, all of it counted as Canaanite (the territory of the five Philistine rulers in Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath and Ekron--that of the Avvites);

4. 또 가나안 사람의 온 땅과 시돈 사람에게 속한 므아라와 아모리 사람의 지경 아벡까지와
  from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, from Arah of the Sidonians as far as Aphek, the region of the Amorites,

5. 또 그발 사람의 땅과 동편 온 레바논 곧 헤르몬 산 아래 바알갓에서부터 하맛에 들어가는 곳까지와
  the area of the Gebalites; and all Lebanon to the east, from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon to Lebo Hamath.

6. 또 레바논에서부터 미스르봇마임까지의 산지 모든 거민 곧 모든 시돈 사람의 땅이라 내가 그들을 이스라엘 자손 앞에서 쫓아내리니 너는 나의 명한 대로 그 땅을 이스라엘에게 분배하여 기업이 되게 하되
  "As for all the inhabitants of the mountain regions from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, that is, all the Sidonians, I myself will drive them out before the Israelites. Be sure to allocate this land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have instructed you,

7. 너는 이 땅을 아홉 지파와 므낫세 반 지파에게 나누어 기업이 되게 하라 하셨더라
  and divide it as an inheritance among the nine tribes and half of the tribe of Manasseh."

8. 므낫세 반 지파와 함께 르우벤 사람과 갓 사람은 요단 동편에서 그 기업을 모세에게 받았는데 여호와의 종 모세가 그들에게 준 것은 이러하니
  The other half of Manasseh, the Reubenites and the Gadites had received the inheritance that Moses had given them east of the Jordan, as he, the servant of the LORD, had assigned it to them.

9. 곧 아르논 골짜기 가에 있는 아로엘에서부터 골짜기 가운데 있는 성읍과 디본까지 이르는 메드바 온 평지와
  It extended from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the middle of the gorge, and included the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,

10. 헤스본에 도읍하였던 아모리 사람의 왕 시혼의 모든 성읍 곧 암몬 자손의 지경까지와
  and all the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, out to the border of the Ammonites.

11. 길르앗과 및 그술 사람과 마아갓 사람의 지경과 온 헤르몬 산과 살르가까지 이른 온 바산
  It also included Gilead, the territory of the people of Geshur and Maacah, all of Mount Hermon and all Bashan as far as Salecah--

12. 곧 르바의 남은 족속으로서 아스다롯과 에드레이에 도읍하였던 바산 왕 옥의 온 나라라 모세가 이 땅의 사람들을 쳐서 쫓아내었어도
  that is, the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and had survived as one of the last of the Rephaites. Moses had defeated them and taken over their land.

13. 그술 사람과 마아갓 사람은 이스라엘 자손이 쫓아내지 아니하였으므로 그술과 마아갓이 오늘날까지 이스라엘 가운데 거하더라
  But the Israelites did not drive out the people of Geshur and Maacah, so they continue to live among the Israelites to this day.

14. 오직 레위 지파에게는 여호수아가 기업으로 준 것이 없었으니 이는 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께 드리는 화제물이 그 기업이 됨이 그에게 이르신 말씀과 같음이었더라
  But to the tribe of Levi he gave no inheritance, since the offerings made by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as he promised them.

15. 모세가 르우벤 자손의 지파에게 그 가족을 따라서 주었으니
  This is what Moses had given to the tribe of Reuben, clan by clan:

16. 그 지경은 아르논 골짜기 가에 있는 아로엘에서부터 골짜기 가운데 있는 성읍과 메드바 곁에 있는 온 평지와
  The territory from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the middle of the gorge, and the whole plateau past Medeba

17. 헤스본과 그 평지에 있는 모든 성읍 곧 디본과 바못 바알과 벧 바알 므온과
  to Heshbon and all its towns on the plateau, including Dibon, Bamoth Baal, Beth Baal Meon,

18. 야하스와 그데못과 메바앗과
  Jahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,

19. 기랴다임과 십마와 골짜기 가운데 산에 있는 세렛 사할과
  Kiriathaim, Sibmah, Zereth Shahar on the hill in the valley,

20. 벧브올과 비스가 산록과 벧여시못과
  Beth Peor, the slopes of Pisgah, and Beth Jeshimoth

21. 평지 모든 성읍과 헤스본에 도읍한 아모리 사람 시혼의 온 나라라 모세가 시혼을 그 땅에 거하는 시혼의 방백 곧 미디안의 귀족 에위와 레겜과 술과 훌과 레바와 함께 죽였으며
  --all the towns on the plateau and the entire realm of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled at Heshbon. Moses had defeated him and the Midianite chiefs, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba--princes allied with Sihon--who lived in that country.

22. 이스라엘 자손이 그들을 도륙하는 중에 브올의 아들 술사 발람도 칼날로 죽였었더라
  In addition to those slain in battle, the Israelites had put to the sword Balaam son of Beor, who practiced divination.

23. 르우벤 자손의 서편 경계는 요단과 그 강가라 이상은 르우벤 자손의 기업으로 그 가족대로 받은 성읍과 촌락이니라
  The boundary of the Reubenites was the bank of the Jordan. These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the Reubenites, clan by clan.

24. 모세가 갓 지파 곧 갓 자손에게도 그 가족을 따라서 주었으니
  This is what Moses had given to the tribe of Gad, clan by clan:

25. 그 지경은 야셀과 길르앗 모든 성읍과 암몬 자손의 땅 절반 곧 랍바 앞의 아로엘까지와
  The territory of Jazer, all the towns of Gilead and half the Ammonite country as far as Aroer, near Rabbah;

26. 헤스본에서 라맛 미스베와 브도님까지와 마하나임에서 드빌 지경까지와
  and from Heshbon to Ramath Mizpah and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the territory of Debir;

27. 골짜기에 있는 벧 하람과 벧니므라와 숙곳과 사본 곧 헤스본 왕 시혼의 나라의 남은 땅 요단과 그 강가에서부터 요단 동편 긴네렛 바다의 끝까지라
  and in the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth and Zaphon with the rest of the realm of Sihon king of Heshbon (the east side of the Jordan, the territory up to the end of the Sea of Kinnereth).

28. 이는 갓 자손의 기업으로 그 가족대로 받은 성읍과 촌락이니라
  These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the Gadites, clan by clan.

29. 모세가 므낫세 반 지파에게 주었으되 므낫세 자손의 반 지파에게 그 가족대로 주었으니
  This is what Moses had given to the half-tribe of Manasseh, that is, to half the family of the descendants of Manasseh, clan by clan:

30. 그 지경은 마하나임에서부터 온 바산 곧 바산 왕 옥의 전국과 바산 경내 야일의 모든 고을 육십 성읍과
  The territory extending from Mahanaim and including all of Bashan, the entire realm of Og king of Bashan--all the settlements of Jair in Bashan, sixty towns,

31. 길르앗 절반과 바산 왕 옥의 나라 성읍 아스다롯과 에드레이라 이는 므낫세의 아들 마길의 자손에게 돌린 것이니 곧 마길 자손의 절반이 그 가족대로 받으니라
  half of Gilead, and Ashtaroth and Edrei (the royal cities of Og in Bashan). This was for the descendants of Makir son of Manasseh--for half of the sons of Makir, clan by clan.

32. 요단 동편 여리고 맞은편 모압 평지에서 모세가 분배한 기업이 이러하여도
  This is the inheritance Moses had given when he was in the plains of Moab across the Jordan east of Jericho.

33. 오직 레위 지파에게는 모세가 기업을 주지 아니하였으니 이는 그들에게 말씀하심같이 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 그 기업이 되심이었더라
  But to the tribe of Levi, Moses had given no inheritance; the LORD, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as he promised them.

시편 145

1. 왕이신 나의 하나님이여 내가 주를 높이고 영원히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
  A psalm of praise. Of David. I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.

2. 내가 날마다 주를 송축하며 영영히 주의 이름을 송축하리이다
  Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.

3. 여호와는 광대하시니 크게 찬양할 것이라 그의 광대하심을 측량치 못하리로다
  Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.

4. 대대로 주의 행사를 크게 칭송하며 주의 능한 일을 선포하리로다
  One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts.

5. 주의 존귀하고 영광스러운 위엄과 주의 기사를 나는 묵상하리이다
  They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works.

6. 사람들은 주의 두려운 일의 세력을 말할 것이요 나도 주의 광대하심을 선포하리이다
  They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.

7. 저희가 주의 크신 은혜를 기념하여 말하며 주의 의를 노래하리이다
  They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

8. 여호와는 은혜로우시며 자비하시며 노하기를 더디하시며 인자하심이 크시도다
  The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.

9. 여호와께서는 만유를 선대하시며 그 지으신 모든 것에 긍휼을 베푸시는도다
  The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

10. 여호와여 주의 지으신 모든 것이 주께 감사하며 주의 성도가 주를 송축하리이다
  All you have made will praise you, O LORD; your saints will extol you.

11. 저희가 주의 나라의 영광을 말하며 주의 능을 일러서
  They will tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,

12. 주의 능하신 일과 주의 나라의 위엄의 영광을 인생에게 알게 하리이다
  so that all men may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

13. 주의 나라는 영원한 나라이니 주의 통치는 대대에 이르리이다
  Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.

14. 여호와께서는 모든 넘어지는 자를 붙드시며 비굴한 자를 일으키시는도다
  The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.

15. 중생의 눈이 주를 앙망하오니 주는 때를 따라 저희에게 식물을 주시며
  The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.

16. 손을 펴사 모든 생물의 소원을 만족케 하시나이다
  You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

17. 여호와께서는 그 모든 행위에 의로우시며 그 모든 행사에 은혜로우시도다
  The LORD is righteous in all his ways and loving toward all he has made.

18. 여호와께서는 자기에게 간구하는 모든 자 곧 진실하게 간구하는 모든 자에게 가까이 하시는도다
  The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

19. 저는 자기를 경외하는 자의 소원을 이루시며 또 저희 부르짖음을 들으사 구원하시리로다
  He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.

20. 여호와께서 자기를 사랑하는 자는 다 보호하시고 악인은 다 멸하시리로다
  The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

21. 내 입이 여호와의 영예를 말하며 모든 육체가 그의 성호를 영영히 송축할찌로다
  My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.

예레미야 6

1. 베냐민 자손들아 예루살렘 중에서 피난하라 드고아에서 나팔을 불고 벧학게렘에서 기호를 들라 재앙과 큰 파멸이 북방에서 엿보아 옴이니라
  "Flee for safety, people of Benjamin! Flee from Jerusalem! Sound the trumpet in Tekoa! Raise the signal over Beth Hakkerem! For disaster looms out of the north, even terrible destruction.

2. 아름답고 묘한 딸 시온을 내가 멸절하리니
  I will destroy the Daughter of Zion, so beautiful and delicate.

3. 목자들이 그 무리 양을 몰고 와서 그 사면에 자기 장막을 치고 각기 처소에서 먹이리로다
  Shepherds with their flocks will come against her; they will pitch their tents around her, each tending his own portion."

4. 너희는 그를 치기를 준비하라 일어나라 우리가 정오에 올라가자 아하 아깝다 날이 기울어 저녁 볕 그늘이 길었구나
  "Prepare for battle against her! Arise, let us attack at noon! But, alas, the daylight is fading, and the shadows of evening grow long.

5. 일어나라 우리가 밤으로 올라가서 그 전각들을 헐자 하도다
  So arise, let us attack at night and destroy her fortresses!"

6. 나 만군의 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 너희는 나무를 베어서 예루살렘을 향하여 흉벽을 쌓으라 이는 벌받을 성이라 그 중에는 오직 포학한 것뿐이니라
  This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Cut down the trees and build siege ramps against Jerusalem. This city must be punished; it is filled with oppression.

7. 샘이 그 물을 솟쳐냄같이 그가 그 악을 발하니 강포와 탈취가 거기서 들리며 질병과 창상이 내 앞에 계속하느니라
  As a well pours out its water, so she pours out her wickedness. Violence and destruction resound in her; her sickness and wounds are ever before me.

8. 예루살렘아 너는 훈계를 받으라 그리하지 아니하면 내 마음이 너를 싫어하고 너로 황무케 하여 거민이 없는 땅을 만들리라
  Take warning, O Jerusalem, or I will turn away from you and make your land desolate so no one can live in it."

9. 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 포도를 땀같이 그들이 이스라엘의 남은 자를 말갛게 주우리라 너는 포도 따는 자처럼 네 손을 광주리에 자주자주 놀리라 하시나니
  This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Let them glean the remnant of Israel as thoroughly as a vine; pass your hand over the branches again, like one gathering grapes."

10. 내가 누구에게 말하며 누구에게 경책하여 듣게 할꼬 보라 그 귀가 할례를 받지 못하였으므로 듣지 못하는도다 보라 여호와의 말씀을 그들이 자기에게 욕으로 여기고 이를 즐겨 아니하니
  To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the LORD is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.

11. 그러므로 여호와의 분노가 내게 가득하여 참기 어렵도다 그것을 거리에 있는 아이들과 모인 청년들에게 부으리니 지아비와 지어미와 노인과 늙은이가 다 잡히리로다
  But I am full of the wrath of the LORD, and I cannot hold it in. "Pour it out on the children in the street and on the young men gathered together; both husband and wife will be caught in it, and the old, those weighed down with years.

12. 여호와께서 말씀하시되 내가 그 땅 거민에게 내 손을 펼 것인즉 그들의 집과 전지와 아내가 타인의 소유로 이전되리니
  Their houses will be turned over to others, together with their fields and their wives, when I stretch out my hand against those who live in the land," declares the LORD.

13. 이는 그들이 가장 작은 자로부터 큰 자까지 다 탐남하며 선지자로부터 제사장까지 다 거짓을 행함이라
  "From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain; prophets and priests alike, all practice deceit.

14. 그들이 내 백성의 상처를 심상히 고쳐주며 말하기를 평강하다 평강하다 하나 평강이 없도다
  They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace.

15. 그들이 가증한 일을 행할 때에 부끄러워하였느냐 아니라 조금도 부끄러워 아니할 뿐 아니라 얼굴도 붉어지지 않았느니라 그러므로 그들이 엎드러지는 자와 함께 엎드러질 것이라 내가 그들을 벌하리니 그 때에 그들이 거꾸러지리라 여호와의 말이니라
  Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when I punish them," says the LORD.

16. 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희는 길에 서서 보며 옛적 길 곧 선한 길이 어디인지 알아보고 그리로 행하라 너희 심령이 평강을 얻으리라 하나 그들의 대답이 우리는 그리로 행치 않겠노라 하였으며
  This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'

17. 내가 또 너희 위에 파숫군을 세웠으니 나팔소리를 들으라 하나 그들의 대답이 우리는 듣지 않겠노라 하였도다
  I appointed watchmen over you and said, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But you said, 'We will not listen.'

18. 그러므로 너희 열방아 들으라 회중아 그들의 당할 일을 알라
  Therefore hear, O nations; observe, O witnesses, what will happen to them.

19. 땅이여 들으라 내가 이 백성에게 재앙을 내리리니 이것이 그들의 생각의 결과라 그들이 내 말을 듣지 아니하며 내 법을 버렸음이니라
  Hear, O earth: I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their schemes, because they have not listened to my words and have rejected my law.

20. 시바에서 유향과 원방에서 향품을 내게로 가져옴은 어찜이뇨 나는 그들의 번제를 받지 아니하며 그들의 희생을 달게 여기지 않노라
  What do I care about incense from Sheba or sweet calamus from a distant land? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable; your sacrifices do not please me."

21. 그러므로 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 보라 내가 이 백성 앞에 거침을 두리니 아비와 아들들이 한가지로 거기 거치며 이웃과 그 친구가 함께 멸망하리라
  Therefore this is what the LORD says: "I will put obstacles before this people. Fathers and sons alike will stumble over them; neighbors and friends will perish."

22. 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 한 민족이 북방에서 오며 큰 나라가 땅 끝에서부터 떨쳐 일어나나니
  This is what the LORD says: "Look, an army is coming from the land of the north; a great nation is being stirred up from the ends of the earth.

23. 그들은 활과 창을 잡았고 잔인하여 자비가 없으며 그 목소리는 바다가 흉용함 같은 자라 그들이 말을 타고 전사같이 다 항오를 벌이고 딸 시온 너를 치려하느니라 하시도다
  They are armed with bow and spear; they are cruel and show no mercy. They sound like the roaring sea as they ride on their horses; they come like men in battle formation to attack you, O Daughter of Zion."

24. 우리가 그 소문을 들었으므로 손이 약하여졌고 고통이 우리를 잡았으므로 아픔이 해산하는 여인 같도다
  We have heard reports about them, and our hands hang limp. Anguish has gripped us, pain like that of a woman in labor.

25. 너희는 밭에도 나가지 말라 길로도 행치 말라 대적의 칼이 있고 사방에 두려움이 있음이니라
  Do not go out to the fields or walk on the roads, for the enemy has a sword, and there is terror on every side.

26. 딸 내 백성이 굵은 베를 두르고 재에서 굴며 독자를 잃음 같이 슬퍼하며 통곡할찌어다 멸망시킬 자가 홀연히 우리에게 올 것임이니라
  O my people, put on sackcloth and roll in ashes; mourn with bitter wailing as for an only son, for suddenly the destroyer will come upon us.

27. 주께서 가라사대 내가 이미 너로 내 백성 중에 살피는 자와 요새를 삼아 그들의 길을 알고 살피게 하였노라
  "I have made you a tester of metals and my people the ore, that you may observe and test their ways.

28. 그들은 다 심히 패역한 자며 다니며 비방하는 자며 그들은 놋과 철이며 다 사악한 자라
  They are all hardened rebels, going about to slander. They are bronze and iron; they all act corruptly.

29. 풀무를 맹렬히 불면 그 불에 납이 살라져서 단련하는 자의 일이 헛되게 되느니라 이와 같이 악한 자가 제하여지지 아니하나니
  The bellows blow fiercely to burn away the lead with fire, but the refining goes on in vain; the wicked are not purged out.

30. 사람들이 그들을 내어 버린 은이라 칭하게 될 것은 나 여호와가 그들을 버렸음이니라
  They are called rejected silver, because the LORD has rejected them."

마태복음 20

1. 천국은 마치 품군을 얻어 포도원에 들여보내려고 이른 아침에 나간 집 주인과 같으니
  "For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire men to work in his vineyard.

2. 저가 하루 한 데나리온씩 품군들과 약속하여 포도원에 들여보내고
  He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day and sent them into his vineyard.

3. 또 제 삼 시에 나가 보니 장터에 놀고 섰는 사람들이 또 있는지라
  "About the third hour he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing.

4. 저희에게 이르되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 내가 너희에게 상당하게 주리라 하니 저희가 가고
  He told them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.'

5. 제 육 시와 제 구 시에 또 나가 그와 같이 하고
  So they went. "He went out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour and did the same thing.

6. 제 십일 시에도 나가 보니 섰는 사람들이 또 있는지라
  About the eleventh hour he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, 'Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?'

7. 가로되 너희는 어찌하여 종일토록 놀고 여기 섰느뇨 가로되 우리를 품군으로 쓰는이가 없음이니이다 가로되 너희도 포도원에 들어가라 하니라
  "'Because no one has hired us,' they answered. "He said to them, 'You also go and work in my vineyard.'

8. 저물매 포도원 주인이 청지기에게 이르되 품군들을 불러 나중 온 자로부터 시작하여 먼저 온자까지 삯을 주라 하니
  "When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, 'Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.'

9. 제 십일 시에 온 자들이 와서 한 데나리온씩을 받거늘
  "The workers who were hired about the eleventh hour came and each received a denarius.

10. 먼저 온 자들이 와서 더 받을 줄 알았더니 저희도 한 데나리온씩 받은지라
  So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius.

11. 받은 후 집주인을 원망하여 가로되
  When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner.

12. 나중 온 이 사람들은 한 시간만 일하였거늘 저희를 종일 수고와 더위를 견딘 우리와 같게 하였나이다
  'These men who were hired last worked only one hour,' they said, 'and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.'

13. 주인이 그 중의 한 사람에게 대답하여 가로되 친구여 내가 네게 잘못한 것이 없노라 네가 나와 한 데나리온의 약속을 하지 아니하였느냐
  "But he answered one of them, 'Friend, I am not being unfair to you. Didn't you agree to work for a denarius?

14. 네 것이나 가지고 가라 나중 온 이 사람에게 너와 같이 주는 것이 내 뜻이니라
  Take your pay and go. I want to give the man who was hired last the same as I gave you.

15. 내 것을 가지고 내 뜻대로 할 것이 아니냐 내가 선하므로 네가 악하게 보느냐
  Don't I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?'

16. 이와 같이 나중 된 자로서 먼저 되고 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되리라
  "So the last will be first, and the first will be last."

17. 예수께서 예루살렘으로 올라가려 하실 때에 열두 제자를 따로 데리시고 길에서 이르시되
  Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside and said to them,

18. 보라 우리가 예루살렘으로 올라가노니 인자가 대제사장들과 서기관들에게 넘기우매 저희가 죽이기로 결안하고
  "We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death

19. 이방인들에게 넘겨 주어 그를 능욕하며 채찍질하며 십자가에 못 박게 하리니 제 삼 일에 살아나리라
  and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"

20. 그 때에 세베대의 아들의 어미가 그 아들들을 데리고 예수께 와서 절하며 무엇을 구하니
  Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Jesus with her sons and, kneeling down, asked a favor of him.

21. 예수께서 가라사대 무엇을 원하느뇨 가로되 이 나의 두 아들을 주의 나라에서 하나는 주의 우편에, 하나는 주의 좌편에 앉게 명하소서
  "What is it you want?" he asked. She said, "Grant that one of these two sons of mine may sit at your right and the other at your left in your kingdom."

22. 예수께서 대답하여 가라사대 너희 구하는 것을 너희가 알지 못하는도다 나의 마시려는 잔을 너희가 마실 수 있느냐 저희가 말하되 할 수 있나이다
  "You don't know what you are asking," Jesus said to them. "Can you drink the cup I am going to drink?" "We can," they answered.

23. 가라사대 너희가 과연 내 잔을 마시려니와 내 좌우편에 앉는 것은 나의 줄 것이 아니라 내 아버지께서 누구를 위하여 예비하셨든지 그들이 얻을 것이니라
  Jesus said to them, "You will indeed drink from my cup, but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared by my Father."

24. 열 제자가 듣고 그 두 형제에 대하여 분히 여기거늘
  When the ten heard about this, they were indignant with the two brothers.

25. 예수께서 제자들을 불러다가 가라사대 이방인의 집권자들이 저희를 임의로 주관하고 그 대인들이 저희에게 권세를 부리는 줄을 너희가 알거니와
  Jesus called them together and said, "You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them.

26. 너희 중에는 그렇지 아니하니 너희 중에 누구든지 크고자 하는 자는 너희를 섬기는 자가 되고
  Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

27. 너희 중에 누구든지 으뜸이 되고자 하는 자는 너희 종이 되어야 하리라
  and whoever wants to be first must be your slave--

28. 인자가 온 것은 섬김을 받으려 함이 아니라 도리어 섬기려 하고 자기 목숨을 많은 사람의 대속물로 주려 함이니라
  just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

29. 저희가 여리고에서 떠나갈 때에 큰 무리가 예수를 좇더라
  As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him.

30. 소경 둘이 길가에 앉았다가 예수께서 지나가신다 함을 듣고 소리질러 가로되 주여 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서 다윗의 자손이여 하니
  Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

31. 무리가 꾸짖어 잠잠하라 하되 더욱 소리질러 가로되 주여 우리를 불쌍히 여기소서 다윗의 자손이여 하는지라
  The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

32. 예수께서 머물러 서서 저희를 불러
  Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.

33. 가라사대 너희에게 무엇을 하여 주기를 원하느냐 가로되 주여 우리 눈 뜨기를 원하나이다
  "Lord," they answered, "we want our sight."

34. 예수께서 민망히 여기사 저희 눈을 만지시니 곧 보게 되어 저희가 예수를 좇으니라
  Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.
