여호수아 1

1. 여호와의 종 모세가 죽은 후에 여호와께서 모세의 시종 눈의 아들 여호수아에게 일러 가라사대
  After the death of Moses the servant of the LORD, the LORD said to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' aide:

2. 내 종 모세가 죽었으니 이제 너는 이 모든 백성으로 더불어 일어나 이 요단을 건너 내가 그들 곧 이스라엘 자손에게 주는 땅으로 가라
  "Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them--to the Israelites.

3. 내가 모세에게 말한 바와 같이 무릇 너희 발바닥으로 밟는 곳을 내가 다 너희에게 주었노니
  I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

4. 곧 광야와 이 레바논에서부터 큰 하수 유브라데에 이르는 헷 족속의 온 땅과 또 해지는 편 대해까지 너희 지경이 되리라
  Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates--all the Hittite country--to the Great Sea on the west.

5. 너의 평생에 너를 능히 당할 자 없으리니 내가 모세와 함께 있던 것같이 너와 함께 있을 것임이라 내가 너를 떠나지 아니하며 버리지 아니하리니
  No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

6. 마음을 강하게 하라 담대히 하라 너는 이 백성으로 내가 그 조상에게 맹세하여 주리라 한 땅을 얻게 하리라
  "Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them.

7. 오직 너는 마음을 강하게 하고 극히 담대히 하여 나의 종 모세가 네게 명한 율법을 다 지켜 행하고 좌로나 우로나 치우치지 말라 그리하면 어디로 가든지 형통하리니
  Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

8. 이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여 그 가운데 기록한 대로 다 지켜 행하라 그리하면 네 길이 평탄하게 될 것이라 네가 형통하리라
  Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

9. 내가 네게 명한 것이 아니냐 마음을 강하게 하고 담대히 하라 두려워 말며 놀라지 말라 네가 어디로 가든지 네 하나님 여호와가 너와 함께 하느니라 하시니라
  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

10. 이에 여호수아가 백성의 유사들에게 명하여 가로되
  So Joshua ordered the officers of the people:

11. 진중에 두루 다니며 백성에게 명하여 이르기를 양식을 예비하라 삼 일 안에 너희가 이 요단을 건너 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 주사 얻게 하시는 땅을 얻기 위하여 들어갈 것임이니라 하라
  "Go through the camp and tell the people, 'Get your supplies ready. Three days from now you will cross the Jordan here to go in and take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving you for your own.'"

12. 여호수아가 또 르우벤 지파와 갓 지파와
  But to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joshua said,

13. 므낫세 반 지파에게 일러 가로되 여호와의 종 모세가 너희에게 명하여 이르기를 너희 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 안식을 주시며 이 땅을 너희에게 주시리라 하였나니 너희는 그 말을 기억하라
  "Remember the command that Moses the servant of the LORD gave you: 'The LORD your God is giving you rest and has granted you this land.'

14. 너희 처자와 가축은 모세가 너희에게 준 요단 이편 땅에 머무르려니와 너희 용사들은 무장하고 너희의 형제보다 앞서 건너가서 그들을 돕고
  Your wives, your children and your livestock may stay in the land that Moses gave you east of the Jordan, but all your fighting men, fully armed, must cross over ahead of your brothers. You are to help your brothers

15. 여호와께서 너희로 안식하게 하신 것 같이 너희 형제도 안식하게 되며 그들도 너희 하나님 여호와께서 주시는 땅을 얻게 되거든 너희는 너희 소유지 곧 여호와의 종 모세가 너희에게 준 요단 이편 해 돋는 편으로 돌아와서 그것을 차지할찌니라
  until the LORD gives them rest, as he has done for you, and until they too have taken possession of the land that the LORD your God is giving them. After that, you may go back and occupy your own land, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise."

16. 그들이 여호수아에게 대답하여 가로되 당신이 우리에게 명하신 것은 우리가 다 행할 것이요 당신이 우리를 보내시는 곳에는 우리가 가리이다
  Then they answered Joshua, "Whatever you have commanded us we will do, and wherever you send us we will go.

17. 우리는 범사에 모세를 청종한 것같이 당신을 청종하려니와 오직 당신의 하나님 여호와께서 모세와 함께 계시던 것같이 당신과 함께 계시기를 원하나이다
  Just as we fully obeyed Moses, so we will obey you. Only may the LORD your God be with you as he was with Moses.

18. 누구든지 당신의 명령을 거역하며 무릇 당신의 시키시는 말씀을 청종치 아니하는 자 그는 죽임을 당하리니 오직 당신은 마음을 강하게 하시며 담대히 하소서
  Whoever rebels against your word and does not obey your words, whatever you may command them, will be put to death. Only be strong and courageous!"

시편 120-122

1. 내가 환난 중에 여호와께 부르짖었더니 내게 응답하셨도다
  A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.

2. 여호와여 거짓된 입술과 궤사한 혀에서 내 생명을 건지소서
  Save me, O LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.

3. 너 궤사한 혀여 무엇으로 네게 주며 무엇으로 네게 더할꼬
  What will he do to you, and what more besides, O deceitful tongue?

4. 장사의 날카로운 살과 로뎀나무 숯불이리로다
  He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom tree.

5. 메섹에 유하며 게달의 장막 중에 거하는 것이 내게 화로다
  Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!

6. 내가 화평을 미워하는 자와 함께 오래 거하였도다
  Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.

7. 나는 화평을 원할찌라도 내가 말할 때에 저희는 싸우려 하는도다
  I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

1. 내가 산을 향하여 눈을 들리라 나의 도움이 어디서 올꼬
  A song of ascents. I lift up my eyes to the hills--where does my help come from?

2. 나의 도움이 천지를 지으신 여호와에게서로다
  My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

3. 여호와께서 너로 실족지 않게 하시며 너를 지키시는 자가 졸지 아니하시리로다
  He will not let your foot slip--he who watches over you will not slumber;

4. 이스라엘을 지키시는 자는 졸지도 아니하고 주무시지도 아니하시리로다
  indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

5. 여호와는 너를 지키시는 자라 여호와께서 네 우편에서 네 그늘이 되시나니
  The LORD watches over you--the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6. 낮의 해가 너를 상치 아니하며 밤의 달도 너를 해치 아니하리로다
  the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.

7. 여호와께서 너를 지켜 모든 환난을 면케 하시며 또 네 영혼을 지키시리로다
  The LORD will keep you from all harm--he will watch over your life;

8. 여호와께서 너의 출입을 지금부터 영원까지 지키시리로다
  the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

1. 사람이 내게 말하기를 여호와의 집에 올라가자 할 때에 내가 기뻐하였도다
  A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoiced with those who said to me, "Let us go to the house of the LORD."

2. 예루살렘아 우리 발이 네 성문 안에 섰도다
  Our feet are standing in your gates, O Jerusalem.

3. 예루살렘아 너는 조밀한 성읍과 같이 건설되었도다
  Jerusalem is built like a city that is closely compacted together.

4. 지파들 곧 여호와의 지파들이 여호와의 이름에 감사하려고 이스라엘의 전례대로 그리로 올라가는도다
  That is where the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, to praise the name of the LORD according to the statute given to Israel.

5. 거기 판단의 보좌를 두셨으니 곧 다윗 집의 보좌로다
  There the thrones for judgment stand, the thrones of the house of David.

6. 예루살렘을 위하여 평안을 구하라 예루살렘을 사랑하는 자는 형통하리로다
  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure.

7. 네 성 안에는 평강이 있고 네 궁중에는 형통이 있을찌어다
  May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels."

8. 내가 내 형제와 붕우를 위하여 이제 말하리니 네 가운데 평강이 있을찌어다
  For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be within you."

9. 여호와 우리 하나님의 집을 위하여 내가 네 복을 구하리로다
  For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your prosperity.

■ 혼자 읽기

이사야 61

1. 주 여호와의 신이 내게 임하셨으니 이는 여호와께서 내게 기름을 부으사 가난한 자에게 아름다운 소식을 전하게 하려 하심이라 나를 보내사 마음이 상한 자를 고치며 포로된 자에게 자유를, 갇힌 자에게 놓임을 전파하며
  The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

2. 여호와의 은혜의 해와 우리 하나님의 신원의 날을 전파하여 모든 슬픈 자를 위로하되
  to proclaim the year of the LORD'S favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

3. 무릇 시온에서 슬퍼하는 자에게 화관을 주어 그 재를 대신하며 희락의 기름으로 그 슬픔을 대신하며 찬송의 옷으로 그 근심을 대신하시고 그들로 의의 나무 곧 여호와의 심으신 바 그 영광을 나타낼 자라 일컬음을 얻게 하려 하심이니라
  and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

4. 그들은 오래 황폐하였던 곳을 다시 쌓을 것이며 예로부터 무너진 곳을 다시 일으킬 것이며 황폐한 성읍 곧 대대로 무너져 있던 것들을 중수할 것이며
  They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.

5. 외인은 서서 너희 양 떼를 칠 것이요 이방 사람은 너희 농부와 포도원지기가 될 것이나
  Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.

6. 오직 너희는 여호와의 제사장이라 일컬음을 얻을 것이라 사람들이 너희를 우리 하나님의 봉사자라 할 것이며 너희가 열방의 재물을 먹으며 그들의 영광을 얻어 자랑할 것이며
  And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.

7. 너희가 수치 대신에 배나 얻으며 능욕 대신에 분깃을 인하여 즐거워할 것이라 그리하여 고토에서 배나 얻고 영영한 기쁨이 있으리라
  Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.

8. 대저 나 여호와는 공의를 사랑하며 불의의 강탈을 미워하여 성실히 그들에게 갚아 주고 그들과 영영한 언약을 세울 것이라
  "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them.

9. 그 자손을 열방 중에, 그 후손을 만민 중에 알리리니 무릇 이를 보는 자가 그들은 여호와께 복받은 자손이라 인정하리라
  Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed."

10. 내가 여호와로 인하여 크게 기뻐하며 내 영혼이 나의 하나님으로 인하여 즐거워하리니 이는 그가 구원의 옷으로 내게 입히시며 의의 겉옷으로 내게 더하심이 신랑이 사모를 쓰며 신부가 자기 보물로 단장함 같게 하셨음이라
  I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

11. 땅이 싹을 내며 동산이 거기 뿌린 것을 움돋게 함같이 주 여호와께서 의와 찬송을 열방 앞에 발생하게 하시리라
  For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.

마태복음 9

1. 예수께서 배에 오르사 건너가 본 동네에 이르시니
  Jesus stepped into a boat, crossed over and came to his own town.

2. 침상에 누운 중풍병자를 사람들이 데리고 오거늘 예수께서 저희의 믿음을 보시고 중풍병자에게 이르시되 소자야 안심하라 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라
  Some men brought to him a paralytic, lying on a mat. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven."

3. 어떤 서기관들이 속으로 이르되 이 사람이 참람하도다
  At this, some of the teachers of the law said to themselves, "This fellow is blaspheming!"

4. 예수께서 그 생각을 아시고 가라사대 너희가 어찌하여 마음에 악한 생각을 하느냐
  Knowing their thoughts, Jesus said, "Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?

5. 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라 하는 말과 일어나 걸어가라 하는 말이 어느 것이 쉽겠느냐
  Which is easier: to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'?

6. 그러나 인자가 세상에서 죄를 사하는 권세가 있는 줄을 너희로 알게 하려 하노라 하시고 중풍병자에게 말씀하시되 일어나 네 침상을 가지고 집으로 가라 하시니
  But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. . . ." Then he said to the paralytic, "Get up, take your mat and go home."

7. 그가 일어나 집으로 돌아가거늘
  And the man got up and went home.

8. 무리가 보고 두려워하며 이런 권세를 사람에게 주신 하나님께 영광을 돌리니라
  When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to men.

9. 예수께서 거기서 떠나 지나 가시다가 마태라 하는 사람이 세관에 앉은 것을 보시고 이르시되 나를 좇으라 하시니 일어나 좇으니라
  As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

10. 예수께서 마태의 집에서 앉아 음식을 잡수실 때에 많은 세리와 죄인들이 와서 예수와 그 제자들과 함께 앉았더니
  While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples.

11. 바리새인들이 보고 그 제자들에게 이르되 어찌하여 너희 선생은 세리와 죄인들과 함께 잡수시느냐
  When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"

12. 예수께서 들으시고 이르시되 건강한 자에게는 의원이 쓸데없고 병든 자에게라야 쓸데있느니라
  On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

13. 너희는 가서 내가 긍휼을 원하고 제사를 원치 아니하노라 하신 뜻이 무엇인지 배우라 내가 의인을 부르러 온 것이 아니요 죄인을 부르러 왔노라 하시니라
  But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

14. 그 때에 요한의 제자들이 예수께 나아와 가로되 우리와 바리새인들은 금식하는데 어찌하여 당신의 제자들은 금식하지 아니하나이까
  Then John's disciples came and asked him, "How is it that we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?"

15. 예수께서 저희에게 이르시되 혼인집 손님들이 신랑과 함께 있을 동안에 슬퍼할 수 있느뇨 그러나 신랑을 빼앗길 날이 이르리니 그 때에는 금식할 것이니라
  Jesus answered, "How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

16. 생베 조각을 낡은 옷에 붙이는 자가 없나니 이는 기운 것이 그 옷을 당기어 해어짐이 더하게 됨이요
  "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.

17. 새 포도주를 낡은 가죽 부대에 넣지 아니하나니 그렇게 하면 부대가 터져 포도주도 쏟아지고 부대도 버리게 됨이라 새 포도주는 새 부대에 넣어야 둘이 다 보전되느니라
  Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."

18. 예수께서 이 말씀을 하실 때에 한 직원이 와서 절하고 가로되 내 딸이 방장 죽었사오나 오셔서 그 몸에 손을 얹으소서 그러면 살겠나이다 하니
  While he was saying this, a ruler came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live."

19. 예수께서 일어나 따라가시매 제자들도 가더니
  Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples.

20. 열두 해를 혈루증으로 앓는 여자가 예수의 뒤로 와서 그 겉옷 가를 만지니
  Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak.

21. 이는 제 마음에 그 겉옷만 만져도 구원을 받겠다 함이라
  She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed."

22. 예수께서 돌이켜 그를 보시며 가라사대 딸아 안심하라 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였다 하시니 여자가 그 시로 구원을 받으니라
  Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

23. 예수께서 그 직원의 집에 가사 피리 부는 자들과 훤화하는 무리를 보시고
  When Jesus entered the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the noisy crowd,

24. 가라사대 물러가라 이 소녀가 죽은 것이 아니라 잔다 하시니 저들이 비웃더라
  he said, "Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep." But they laughed at him.

25. 무리를 내어 보낸 후에 예수께서 들어가사 소녀의 손을 잡으시매 일어나는지라
  After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.

26. 그 소문이 그 온 땅에 퍼지더라
  News of this spread through all that region.

27. 예수께서 거기서 떠나 가실쌔 두 소경이 따라 오며 소리질러 가로되 다윗의 자손이여 우리를불쌍히 여기소서 하더니
  As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"

28. 예수께서 집에 들어가시매 소경들이 나아오거늘 예수께서 이르시되 내가 능히 이 일 할 줄을 믿느냐 대답하되 주여 그러하오이다 하니
  When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" "Yes, Lord," they replied.

29. 이에 예수께서 저희 눈을 만지시며 가라사대 너희 믿음대로 되라 하신대
  Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you";

30. 그 눈들이 밝아진지라 예수께서 엄히 경계하시되 삼가 아무에게도 알게 하지 말라 하셨으나
  and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, "See that no one knows about this."

31. 저희가 나가서 예수의 소문을 그 온 땅에 전파하니라
  But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

32. 저희가 나갈 때에 귀신들려 벙어리 된 자를 예수께 데려오니
  While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus.

33. 귀신이 쫓겨나고 벙어리가 말하거늘 무리가 기이히 여겨 가로되 이스라엘 가운데서 이런 일을 본 때가 없다 하되
  And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel."

34. 바리새인들은 가로되 저가 귀신의 왕을 빙자하여 귀신을 쫓아낸다 하더라
  But the Pharisees said, "It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons."

35. 예수께서 모든 성과 촌에 두루 다니사 저희 회당에서 가르치시며 천국 복음을 전파하시며 모든 병과 모든 약한 것을 고치시니라
  Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

36. 무리를 보시고 민망히 여기시니 이는 저희가 목자 없는 양과 같이 고생하며 유리함이라
  When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

37. 이에 제자들에게 이르시되 추수할 것은 많되 일군은 적으니
  Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

38. 그러므로 추수하는 주인에게 청하여 추수할 일군들을 보내어 주소서 하라 하시니라
  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field."
