신명기 16

1. 아빕월을 지켜 네 하나님 여호와의 유월절 예식을 행하라 이는 아빕월에 네 하나님 여호와께서 밤에 너를 애굽에서 인도하여 내셨음이라
  Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover of the LORD your God, because in the month of Abib he brought you out of Egypt by night.

2. 여호와께서 그 이름을 두시려고 택하신 곳에서 우양으로 네 하나님 여호와께 유월절 제사를 드리되
  Sacrifice as the Passover to the LORD your God an animal from your flock or herd at the place the LORD will choose as a dwelling for his Name.

3. 유교병을 그것과 아울러 먹지 말고 칠 일 동안은 무교병 곧 고난의 떡을 그것과 아울러 먹으라 이는 네가 애굽 땅에서 급속히 나왔음이니 이같이 행하여 너의 평생에 항상 네가 애굽 땅에서 나온 날을 기억할 것이니라
  Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste--so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt.

4. 그 칠 일 동안에는 네 사경내에 누룩이 보이지 않게 할 것이요 또 네가 첫날 해질 때에 제사드린 고기를 밤을 지내어 아침까지 두지 말 것이며
  Let no yeast be found in your possession in all your land for seven days. Do not let any of the meat you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain until morning.

5. 유월절 제사를 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주신 각 성에서 드리지 말고
  You must not sacrifice the Passover in any town the LORD your God gives you

6. 오직 네 하나님 여호와께서 그 이름을 두시려고 택하신 곳에서 네가 애굽에서 나오던 시각 곧 초저녁 해질 때에 드리고
  except in the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name. There you must sacrifice the Passover in the evening, when the sun goes down, on the anniversary of your departure from Egypt.

7. 네 하나님 여호와께서 택하신 곳에서 그 고기를 구워 먹고 아침에 네 장막으로 돌아갈 것이니라
  Roast it and eat it at the place the LORD your God will choose. Then in the morning return to your tents.

8. 너는 육일 동안은 무교병을 먹고 제 칠일에 네 하나님 여호와 앞에 성회로 모이고 아무 노동도 하지 말찌니라
  For six days eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day hold an assembly to the LORD your God and do no work.

9. 칠주를 계수할찌니 곡식에 낫을 대는 첫날부터 칠주를 계수하여
  Count off seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.

10. 네 하나님 여호와 앞에 칠칠절을 지키되 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 복을 주신 대로 네 힘을 헤아려 자원하는 예물을 드리고
  Then celebrate the Feast of Weeks to the LORD your God by giving a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the LORD your God has given you.

11. 너와 네 자녀와 노비와 네 성중에 거하는 레위인과 및 너희 중에 있는 객과 고아와 과부가 함께 네 하나님 여호와께서 그 이름을 두시려고 택하신 곳에서 네 하나님 여호와 앞에서 즐거워 할찌니라
  And rejoice before the LORD your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name--you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, the Levites in your towns, and the aliens, the fatherless and the widows living among you.

12. 너는 애굽에서 종 되었던것을 기억하고 이 규례를 지켜 행할찌니라
  Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and follow carefully these decrees.

13. 너희 타작 마당과 포도주 틀의 소출을 수장한 후에 칠 일 동안 초막절을 지킬 것이요
  Celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing floor and your winepress.

14. 절기를 지킬 때에는 너와 네 자녀와 노비와 네 성중에 거하는 레위인과 객과 고아와 과부가 함께 연락하되
  Be joyful at your Feast--you, your sons and daughters, your menservants and maidservants, and the Levites, the aliens, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns.

15. 네 하나님 여호와께서 택하신 곳에서 너는 칠일 동안 네 하나님 여호와 앞에서 절기를 지키고 네 하나님 여호와께서 네 모든 물산과 네 손을 댄 모든 일에 복 주실 것을 인하여 너는 온전히 즐거워할찌니라
  For seven days celebrate the Feast to the LORD your God at the place the LORD will choose. For the LORD your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.

16. 너희 중 모든 남자는 일년 삼차 곧 무교절과 칠칠절과 초막절에 네 하나님 여호와의 택하신 곳에서 여호와께 보이되 공수로 여호와께 보이지 말고
  Three times a year all your men must appear before the LORD your God at the place he will choose: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. No man should appear before the LORD empty-handed:

17. 각 사람이 네 하나님 여호와의 주신 복을 따라 그 힘대로 물건을 드릴찌니라
  Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the LORD your God has blessed you.

18. 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 각 성에서 네 지파를 따라 재판장과 유사를 둘 것이요 그들은 공의로 백성을 재판할 것이니라
  Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the LORD your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly.

19. 너는 굽게 판단하지 말며 사람을 외모로 보지 말며 또 뇌물을 받지 말라 뇌물은 지혜자의 눈을 어둡게 하고 의인의 말을 굽게 하느니라
  Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous.

20. 너는 마땅히 공의만 좇으라 그리하면 네가 살겠고 네 하나님 여호와께서 네게 주시는 땅을 얻으리라
  Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the LORD your God is giving you.

21. 네 하나님 여호와를 위하여 쌓은 단 곁에 아무 나무로든지 아세라 상을 세우지 말며
  Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole beside the altar you build to the LORD your God,

22. 자기를 위하여 주상을 세우지 말라 네 하나님 여호와께서 미워하시느니라
  and do not erect a sacred stone, for these the LORD your God hates.

시편 103

1. 내 영혼아 여호와를 송축하라 내 속에 있는 것들아 다 그 성호를 송축하라
  Of David. Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

2. 내 영혼아 여호와를 송축하며 그 모든 은택을 잊지 말찌어다
  Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits--

3. 저가 네 모든 죄악을 사하시며 네 모든 병을 고치시며
  who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

4. 네 생명을 파멸에서 구속하시고 인자와 긍휼로 관을 씌우시며
  who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

5. 좋은 것으로 네 소원을 만족케 하사 네 청춘으로 독수리같이 새롭게 하시는도다
  who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6. 여호와께서 의로운 일을 행하시며 압박당하는 모든 자를 위하여 판단하시는도다
  The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

7. 그 행위를 모세에게, 그 행사를 이스라엘 자손에게 알리셨도다
  He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:

8. 여호와는 자비로우시며 은혜로우시며 노하기를 더디 하시며 인자하심이 풍부하시도다
  The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

9. 항상 경책지 아니하시며 노를 영원히 품지 아니하시리로다
  He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;

10. 우리의 죄를 따라 처치하지 아니하시며 우리의 죄악을 따라 갚지 아니하셨으니
  he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

11. 이는 하늘이 땅에서 높음같이 그를 경외하는 자에게 그 인자하심이 크심이로다
  For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;

12. 동이 서에서 먼 것같이 우리 죄과를 우리에게서 멀리 옮기셨으며
  as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

13. 아비가 자식을 불쌍히 여김같이 여호와께서 자기를 경외하는 자를 불쌍히 여기시나니
  As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

14. 이는 저가 우리의 체질을 아시며 우리가 진토임을 기억하심이로다
  for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

15. 인생은 그 날이 풀과 같으며 그 영화가 들의 꽃과 같도다
  As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field;

16. 그것은 바람이 지나면 없어지나니 그 곳이 다시 알지 못하거니와
  the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

17. 여호와의 인자하심은 자기를 경외하는 자에게 영원부터 영원까지 이르며 그의 의는 자손의 자손에게 미치리니
  But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD'S love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--

18. 곧 그 언약을 지키고 그 법도를 기억하여 행하는 자에게로다
  with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.

19. 여호와께서 그 보좌를 하늘에 세우시고 그 정권으로 만유를 통치하시도다
  The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.

20. 능력이 있어 여호와의 말씀을 이루며 그 말씀의 소리를 듣는 너희 천사여 여호와를 송축하라
  Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.

21. 여호와를 봉사하여 그 뜻을 행하는 너희 모든 천군이여 여호와를 송축하라
  Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.

22. 여호와의 지으심을 받고 그 다스리시는 모든 곳에 있는 너희여 여호와를 송축하라 내 영혼아 여호와를 송축하라
  Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

■ 혼자 읽기

이사야 43

1. 야곱아 너를 창조하신 여호와께서 이제 말씀하시느니라 이스라엘아 너를 조성하신 자가 이제 말씀하시느니라 너는 두려워 말라 내가 너를 구속하였고 내가 너를 지명하여 불렀나니 너는 내 것이라
  But now, this is what the LORD says--he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.

2. 네가 물 가운데로 지날 때에 내가 함께할 것이라 강을 건널 때에 물이 너를 침몰치 못할 것이며 네가 불 가운데로 행할 때에 타지도 아니할 것이요 불꽃이 너를 사르지도 못하리니
  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

3. 대저 나는 여호와 네 하나님이요 이스라엘의 거룩한 자요 네 구원자임이라 내가 애굽을 너의 속량물로, 구스와 스바를 너의 대신으로 주었노라
  For I am the LORD, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I give Egypt for your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead.

4. 내가 너를 보배롭고 존귀하게 여기고 너를 사랑하였은즉 내가 사람들을 주어 너를 바꾸며 백성들로 네 생명을 대신하리니
  Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give men in exchange for you, and people in exchange for your life.

5. 두려워 말라 내가 너와 함께 하여 네 자손을 동방에서부터 오게 하며 서방에서부터 너를 모을 것이며
  Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west.

6. 내가 북방에게 이르기를 놓으라 남방에게 이르기를 구류하지 말라 내 아들들을 원방에서 이끌며 내 딸들을 땅 끝에서 오게 하라
  I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth--

7. 무릇 내 이름으로 일컫는 자 곧 내가 내 영광을 위하여 창조한 자를 오게 하라 그들을 내가 지었고 만들었느니라
  everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made."

8. 눈이 있어도 소경이요 귀가 있어도 귀머거리인 백성을 이끌어 내라
  Lead out those who have eyes but are blind, who have ears but are deaf.

9. 열방은 모였으며 민족들이 회집하였은들 그들 중에 누가 능히 이 일을 고하며 이전 일을 우리에게 보이겠느냐 그들로 증인을 세워서 자기의 옳음을 나타내어 듣는 자들로 옳다 말하게 하라
  All the nations gather together and the peoples assemble. Which of them foretold this and proclaimed to us the former things? Let them bring in their witnesses to prove they were right, so that others may hear and say, "It is true."

10. 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희는 나의 증인, 나의 종으로 택함을 입었나니 이는 너희로 나를 알고 믿으며 내가 그인 줄 깨닫게 하려 함이라 나의 전에 지음을 받은 신이 없었느니라 나의 후에도 없으리라
  "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.

11. 나 곧 나는 여호와라 나 외에 구원자가 없느니라
  I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.

12. 내가 고하였으며 구원하였으며 보였고 너희 중에 다른 신이 없었나니 그러므로 너희는 나의 증인이요 나는 하나님이니라 여호와의 말이니라
  I have revealed and saved and proclaimed--I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses," declares the LORD, "that I am God.

13. 과연 태초로부터 나는 그니 내 손에서 능히 건질 자가 없도다 내가 행하리니 누가 막으리요
  Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?"

14. 너희의 구속자요 이스라엘의 거룩한 자 여호와가 말하노라 너희를 위하여 내가 바벨론에 보내어 모든 갈대아 사람으로 자기들의 연락하던 배를 타고 도망하여 내려가게 하리라
  This is what the LORD says--your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, in the ships in which they took pride.

15. 나는 여호와 너희의 거룩한 자요 이스라엘의 창조자요 너희 왕이니라
  I am the LORD, your Holy One, Israel's Creator, your King."

16. 바다 가운데 길을, 큰 물 가운데 첩경을 내고
  This is what the LORD says--he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters,

17. 병거와 말과 군대의 용사를 이끌어 내어서 그들로 일시에 엎드러져 일지 못하고 소멸하기를 꺼져가는 등불 같게 한 나 여호와가 말하노라
  who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick:

18. 너희는 이전 일을 기억하지 말며 옛적 일을 생각하지 말라
  "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

19. 보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니 이제 나타낼 것이라 너희가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐 정녕히 내가 광야에 길과 사막에 강을 내리니
  See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

20. 장차 들짐승 곧 시랑과 및 타조도 나를 존경할 것은 내가 광야에 물들을, 사막에 강들을 내어 내 백성, 나의 택한 자로 마시게 할 것임이라
  The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,

21. 이 백성은 내가 나를 위하여 지었나니 나의 찬송을 부르게 하려 함이니라
  the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

22. 그러나 야곱아 너는 나를 부르지 아니하였고 이스라엘아 너는 나를 괴로와하였으며
  "Yet you have not called upon me, O Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, O Israel.

23. 네 번제의 양을 내게로 가져오지 아니하였고 네 제물로 나를 공경하지 아니하였느니라 나는 예물로 인하여 너를 수고롭게 아니하였고 유향으로 인하여 너를 괴롭게 아니하였거늘
  You have not brought me sheep for burnt offerings, nor honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with grain offerings nor wearied you with demands for incense.

24. 너는 나를 위하여 돈으로 향품을 사지 아니하며 희생의 기름으로 나를 흡족케 아니하고 네 죄 짐으로 나를 수고롭게 하며 네 죄악으로 나를 괴롭게 하였느니라
  You have not bought any fragrant calamus for me, or lavished on me the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your offenses.

25. 나 곧 나는 나를 위하여 네 허물을 도말하는 자니 네 죄를 기억지 아니하리라
  "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.

26. 너는 나로 기억이 나게 하고 서로 변론하자 너는 네 일을 말하여 의를 나타내라
  Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence.

27. 네 시조가 범죄하였고 너의 교사들이 나를 배역하였나니
  Your first father sinned; your spokesmen rebelled against me.

28. 그러므로 내가 성소의 어른들로 욕을 보게 하며 야곱으로 저주를 입게 하며 이스라엘로 비방거리가 되게 하리라
  So I will disgrace the dignitaries of your temple, and I will consign Jacob to destruction and Israel to scorn.

요한계시록 13

1. 내가 보니 바다에서 한 짐승이 나오는데 뿔이 열이요 머리가 일곱이라 그 뿔에는 열 면류관이 있고 그 머리들에는 참람된 이름들이 있더라
  And the dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

2. 내가 본 짐승은 표범과 비슷하고 그 발은 곰의 발 같고 그 입은 사자의 입 같은데 용이 자기의 능력과 보좌와 큰 권세를 그에게 주었더라
  The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

3. 그의 머리 하나가 상하여 죽게 된 것 같더니 그 죽게 되었던 상처가 나으매 온 땅이 이상히 여겨 짐승을 따르고
  One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was astonished and followed the beast.

4. 용이 짐승에게 권세를 주므로 용에게 경배하며 짐승에게 경배하여 가로되 누가 이 짐승과 같으뇨 누가 능히 이로 더불어 싸우리요 하더라
  Men worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?"

5. 또 짐승이 큰 말과 참람된 말 하는 입을 받고 또 마흔두 달 일할 권세를 받으니라
  The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months.

6. 짐승이 입을 벌려 하나님을 향하여 훼방하되 그의 이름과 그의 장막 곧 하늘에 거하는 자들을 훼방하더라
  He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven.

7. 또 권세를 받아 성도들과 싸워 이기게 되고 각 족속과 백성과 방언과 나라를 다스리는 권세를 받으니
  He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.

8. 죽임을 당한 어린 양의 생명책에 창세 이후로 녹명되지 못하고 이 땅에 사는 자들은 다 짐승에게 경배하리라
  All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast--all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to the Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world.

9. 누구든지 귀가 있거든 들을찌어다
  He who has an ear, let him hear.

10. 사로잡는 자는 사로잡힐 것이요 칼로 죽이는 자는 자기도 마땅히 칼에 죽으리니 성도들의 인내와 믿음이 여기 있느니라
  If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints.

11. 내가 보매 또 다른 짐승이 땅에서 올라오니 새끼 양같이 두 뿔이 있고 용처럼 말하더라
  Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but he spoke like a dragon.

12. 저가 먼저 나온 짐승의 모든 권세를 그 앞에서 행하고 땅과 땅에 거하는 자들로 처음 짐승에게 경배하게 하니 곧 죽게 되었던 상처가 나은 자니라
  He exercised all the authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose fatal wound had been healed.

13. 큰 이적을 행하되 심지어 사람들 앞에서 불이 하늘로부터 땅에 내려오게 하고
  And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men.

14. 짐승 앞에서 받은 바 이적을 행함으로 땅에 거하는 자들을 미혹하며 땅에 거하는 자들에게 이르기를 칼에 상하였다가 살아난 짐승을 위하여 우상을 만들라 하더라
  Because of the signs he was given power to do on behalf of the first beast, he deceived the inhabitants of the earth. He ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.

15. 저가 권세를 받아 그 짐승의 우상에게 생기를 주어 그 짐승의 우상으로 말하게 하고 또 짐승의 우상에게 경배하지 아니하는 자는 몇이든지 다 죽이게 하더라
  He was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.

16. 저가 모든 자 곧 작은 자나 큰 자나 부자나 빈궁한 자나 자유한 자나 종들로 그 오른손에나 이마에 표를 받게 하고
  He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead,

17. 누구든지 이 표를 가진 자 외에는 매매를 못하게 하니 이 표는 곧 짐승의 이름이나 그 이름의 수라
  so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

18. 지혜가 여기 있으니 총명 있는 자는 그 짐승의 수를 세어 보라 그 수는 사람의 수니 육백 육십 륙이니라
  This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.
