민수기 30

1. 모세가 이스라엘 자손 지파의 두령들에게 일러 가로되 여호와의 명령이 이러하니라
  Moses said to the heads of the tribes of Israel: "This is what the LORD commands:

2. 사람이 여호와께 서원하였거나 마음을 제어하기로 서약하였거든 파약하지 말고 그 입에서 나온 대로 다 행할 것이니라
  When a man makes a vow to the LORD or takes an oath to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said.

3. 또 여자가 만일 어려서 그 아비 집에 있을 때에 여호와께 서원한 일이나 스스로 제어하려 한 일이 있다 하자
  "When a young woman still living in her father's house makes a vow to the LORD or obligates herself by a pledge

4. 그 아비가 그의 서원이나 그 마음을 제어하려는 서약을 듣고도 그에게 아무 말이 없으면 그 모든 서원을 행할 것이요 그 마음을 제어하려는 서약을 지킬 것이니라
  and her father hears about her vow or pledge but says nothing to her, then all her vows and every pledge by which she obligated herself will stand.

5. 그러나 그 아비가 그것을 듣는 날에 허락지 아니하면 그 서원과 마음을 제어하려던 서약이 이루지 못할 것이니 그 아비가 허락지 아니하였은즉 여호와께서 사하시리라
  But if her father forbids her when he hears about it, none of her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand; the LORD will release her because her father has forbidden her.

6. 또 혹시 남편을 맞을 때에 서원이나 마음을 제어하려는 서약을 경솔히 그 입에서 발하였다 하자
  "If she marries after she makes a vow or after her lips utter a rash promise by which she obligates herself

7. 그 남편이 그것을 듣고 그 듣는 날에 그에게 아무 말이 없으면 그 서원을 행할 것이요 그 마음을 제어하려는 서약을 지킬 것이니라
  and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her, then her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand.

8. 그러나 그 남편이 그것을 듣는 날에 허락지 아니하면 그 서원과 마음을 제어하려고 경솔히 입술에서 발한 서약이 무효될 것이니 여호와께서 그 여자를 사하시리라
  But if her husband forbids her when he hears about it, he nullifies the vow that obligates her or the rash promise by which she obligates herself, and the LORD will release her.

9. 과부나 이혼당한 여자의 서원이나 무릇 그 마음을 제어하려는 서약은 지킬 것이니라
  "Any vow or obligation taken by a widow or divorced woman will be binding on her.

10. 부녀가 혹시 그 남편의 집에 있어 서원을 하였다든지 마음을 제어하려고 서약을 하였다 하자
  "If a woman living with her husband makes a vow or obligates herself by a pledge under oath

11. 그 남편이 그것을 듣고도 아무 말이 없고 금함이 없으면 그 서원은 무릇 행할 것이요 그 마음을 제어하려는 서약은 무릇 지킬 것이니라
  and her husband hears about it but says nothing to her and does not forbid her, then all her vows or the pledges by which she obligated herself will stand.

12. 그러나 그 남편이 그것을 듣는 날에 무효케 하면 그 서원과 마음을 제어하려던 일에 대하여 입술에서 낸 것을 무엇이든지 이루지 못하나니 그 남편이 그것을 무효케 하였은즉 여호와께서 그 부녀를 사하시느니라
  But if her husband nullifies them when he hears about them, then none of the vows or pledges that came from her lips will stand. Her husband has nullified them, and the LORD will release her.

13. 무릇 서원과 무릇 마음을 괴롭게 하려는 서약은 그 남편이 그것을 지키게도 할 수 있고 무효케도 할 수 있나니
  Her husband may confirm or nullify any vow she makes or any sworn pledge to deny herself.

14. 그 남편이 일향 말이 없으면 아내의 서원과 스스로 제어하려는 일을 지키게 하는 것이니 이는 그가 그것을 들을 때에 그 아내에게 아무 말도 아니하였으므로 지키게 됨이니라
  But if her husband says nothing to her about it from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or the pledges binding on her. He confirms them by saying nothing to her when he hears about them.

15. 그러나 그 남편이 들은 지 얼마 후에 그것을 무효케 하면 그가 아내의 죄를 담당할 것이니라
  If, however, he nullifies them some time after he hears about them, then he is responsible for her guilt."

16. 이는 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 율례니 남편이 아내에게, 아비가 자기 집에 있는 유년 여자에게 대한 것이니라
  These are the regulations the LORD gave Moses concerning relationships between a man and his wife, and between a father and his young daughter still living in his house.

시편 74

1. 하나님이여 주께서 어찌하여 우리를 영원히 버리시나이까 어찌하여 주의 치시는 양을 향하여 진노의 연기를 발하시나이까
  A maskil of Asaph. Why have you rejected us forever, O God? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?

2. 옛적부터 얻으시고 구속하사 주의 기업의 지파로 삼으신 주의 회중을 기억하시며 주의 거하신 시온 산도 생각하소서
  Remember the people you purchased of old, the tribe of your inheritance, whom you redeemed--Mount Zion, where you dwelt.

3. 영구히 파멸된 곳으로 주의 발을 드십소서 원수가 성소에서 모든 악을 행하였나이다
  Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins, all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.

4. 주의 대적이 주의 회중에서 훤화하며 자기 기를 세워 표적을 삼았으니
  Your foes roared in the place where you met with us; they set up their standards as signs.

5. 저희는 마치 도끼를 들어 삼림을 베는 사람 같으니이다
  They behaved like men wielding axes to cut through a thicket of trees.

6. 이제 저희가 도끼와 철퇴로 성소의 모든 조각품을 쳐서 부수고
  They smashed all the carved paneling with their axes and hatchets.

7. 주의 성소를 불사르며 주의 이름이 계신 곳을 더럽혀 땅에 엎었나이다
  They burned your sanctuary to the ground; they defiled the dwelling place of your Name.

8. 저희의 마음에 이르기를 우리가 그것을 진멸하자 하고 이 땅에 있는 하나님의 모든 회당을 불살랐나이다
  They said in their hearts, "We will crush them completely!" They burned every place where God was worshiped in the land.

9. 우리의 표적이 보이지 아니하며 선지자도 다시 없으며 이런 일이 얼마나 오랠는지 우리 중에 아는 자도 없나이다
  We are given no miraculous signs; no prophets are left, and none of us knows how long this will be.

10. 하나님이여 대적이 언제까지 훼방하겠으며 원수가 주의 이름을 영원히 능욕하리이까
  How long will the enemy mock you, O God? Will the foe revile your name forever?

11. 주께서 어찌하여 주의 손 곧 오른손을 거두시나이까 주의 품에서 빼사 저희를 멸하소서
  Why do you hold back your hand, your right hand? Take it from the folds of your garment and destroy them!

12. 하나님은 예로부터 나의 왕이시라 인간에 구원을 베푸셨나이다
  But you, O God, are my king from of old; you bring salvation upon the earth.

13. 주께서 주의 능력으로 바다를 나누시고 물 가운데 용들의 머리를 깨뜨리셨으며
  It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.

14. 악어의 머리를 파쇄하시고 그것을 사막에 거하는 자에게 식물로 주셨으며
  It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave him as food to the creatures of the desert.

15. 바위를 쪼개사 큰 물을 내시며 길이 흐르는 강들을 말리우셨나이다
  It was you who opened up springs and streams; you dried up the ever flowing rivers.

16. 낮도 주의 것이요 밤도 주의 것이라 주께서 빛과 해를 예비하셨으며
  The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon.

17. 땅의 경계를 정하시며 여름과 겨울을 이루셨나이다
  It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.

18. 여호와여 이것을 기억하소서 원수가 주를 비방하며 우매한 백성이 주의 이름을 능욕하였나이다
  Remember how the enemy has mocked you, O LORD, how foolish people have reviled your name.

19. 주의 멧비둘기의 생명을 들짐승에게 주지 마시며 주의 가난한 자의 목숨을 영영히 잊지 마소서
  Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of your afflicted people forever.

20. 언약을 돌아보소서 대저 땅 흑암한 곳에 강포한 자의 처소가 가득하였나이다
  Have regard for your covenant, because haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land.

21. 학대받은 자로 부끄러이 돌아가게 마시고 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자로 주의 이름을 찬송케 하소서
  Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy praise your name.

22. 하나님이여 일어나사 주의 원통을 푸시고 우매한 자가 종일 주를 비방하는 것을 기억하소서
  Rise up, O God, and defend your cause; remember how fools mock you all day long.

23. 주의 대적의 소리를 잊지 마소서 일어나 주를 항거하는 자의 훤화가 항상 상달하나이다
  Do not ignore the clamor of your adversaries, the uproar of your enemies, which rises continually.

■ 혼자 읽기

이사야 22

1. 이상 골짜기에 관한 경고라 네가 지붕에 올라감은 어찜인고
  An oracle concerning the Valley of Vision: What troubles you now, that you have all gone up on the roofs,

2. 훤화하며 떠들던 성, 즐거워하던 고을이여 너의 죽임을 당한 자가 칼에 죽은 것도 아니요 전쟁에 사망한 것도 아니며
  O town full of commotion, O city of tumult and revelry? Your slain were not killed by the sword, nor did they die in battle.

3. 너의 관원들은 다 함께 도망하였다가 활을 버리고 결박을 당하였고 너의 멀리 도망한 자도 발견되어 다 함께 결박을 당하였도다
  All your leaders have fled together; they have been captured without using the bow. All you who were caught were taken prisoner together, having fled while the enemy was still far away.

4. 이러므로 내가 말하노니 돌이켜 나를 보지 말지어다 나는 슬피 통곡하겠노라 내 딸 백성이 패멸하였음을 인하여 나를 위로하려고 힘쓰지 말지니라
  Therefore I said, "Turn away from me; let me weep bitterly. Do not try to console me over the destruction of my people."

5. 이상의 골짜기에 주 만군의 여호와께로서 이르는 분요와 밟힘과 혼란의 날이여 성벽의 무너뜨림과 산악에 사무치는 부르짖는 소리로다
  The Lord, the LORD Almighty, has a day of tumult and trampling and terror in the Valley of Vision, a day of battering down walls and of crying out to the mountains.

6. 엘람 사람은 전통을 졌고 병거 탄 자와 마병이 함께 하였고 기르 사람은 방패를 들어 내었으니
  Elam takes up the quiver, with her charioteers and horses; Kir uncovers the shield.

7. 병거는 너의 아름다운 골짜기에 가득하였고 마병은 성문에 정렬되었도다
  Your choicest valleys are full of chariots, and horsemen are posted at the city gates;

8. 그가 유다에게 덮였던 것을 벗기매 이 날에야 네가 수풀 곳간의 병기를 바라보았고
  the defenses of Judah are stripped away. And you looked in that day to the weapons in the Palace of the Forest;

9. 너희가 다윗성의 무너진 곳이 많은 것도 보며 너희가 아래 못의 물도 모으며
  you saw that the City of David had many breaches in its defenses; you stored up water in the Lower Pool.

10. 또 예루살렘의 가옥을 계수하며 그 가옥을 헐어 성벽을 견고케도 하며
  You counted the buildings in Jerusalem and tore down houses to strengthen the wall.

11. 너희가 또 옛 못의 물을 위하여 두 성벽 사이에 저수지를 만들었느니라 그러나 너희가 이 일을 하신 자를 앙망하지 아니하였고 이 일을 옛적부터 경영하신 자를 존경하지 아니하였느니라
  You built a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the Old Pool, but you did not look to the One who made it, or have regard for the One who planned it long ago.

12. 그 날에 주 만군의 여호와께서 명하사 통곡하며 애호하며 머리털을 뜯으며 굵은 베를 띠라 하셨거늘
  The Lord, the LORD Almighty, called you on that day to weep and to wail, to tear out your hair and put on sackcloth.

13. 너희가 기뻐하며 즐거워하여 소를 잡고 양을 죽여 고기를 먹고 포도주를 마시면서 내일 죽으리니 먹고 마시자 하도다
  But see, there is joy and revelry, slaughtering of cattle and killing of sheep, eating of meat and drinking of wine! "Let us eat and drink," you say, "for tomorrow we die!"

14. 만군의 여호와께서 친히 내 귀에 들려 가라사대 진실로 이 죄악은 너희 죽기까지 속하지 못하리라 하셨느니라 주 만군의 여호와의 말씀이니라
  The LORD Almighty has revealed this in my hearing: "Till your dying day this sin will not be atoned for," says the Lord, the LORD Almighty.

15. 주 만군의 여호와께서 가라사대 너는 가서 그 국고를 맡고 궁을 차지한 셉나를 보고 이르기를
  This is what the Lord, the LORD Almighty, says: "Go, say to this steward, to Shebna, who is in charge of the palace:

16. 네가 여기 무슨 관계가 있느냐 여기 누가 있기에 여기서 너를 위하여 묘실을 팠느냐 높은 곳에 자기를 위하여 묘실을 팠고 반석에 자기를 위하여 처소를 쪼아 내었도다
  What are you doing here and who gave you permission to cut out a grave for yourself here, hewing your grave on the height and chiseling your resting place in the rock?

17. 나 여호와가 너를 단단히 속박하고 장사같이 맹렬히 던지되
  "Beware, the LORD is about to take firm hold of you and hurl you away, O you mighty man.

18. 정녕히 너를 말아 싸서 공같이 광막한 지경에 던질 것이라 주인의 집에 수치를 끼치는 너여 네가 그 곳에서 죽겠고 네 영광의 수레도 거기 있으리라
  He will roll you up tightly like a ball and throw you into a large country. There you will die and there your splendid chariots will remain--you disgrace to your master's house!

19. 내가 너를 네 관직에서 쫓아내며 네 지위에서 낮추고
  I will depose you from your office, and you will be ousted from your position.

20. 그 날에 내가 힐기야의 아들 내 종 엘리아김을 불러
  "In that day I will summon my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah.

21. 네 옷을 그에게 입히며 네 띠를 그에게 띠워 힘있게 하고 네 정권을 그의 손에 맡기리니 그가 예루살렘 거민과 유다 집의 아비가 될 것이며
  I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.

22. 내가 또 다윗 집의 열쇠를 그의 어깨에 두리니 그가 열면 닫을 자가 없겠고 닫으면 열 자가 없으리라
  I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.

23. 못이 단단한 곳에 박힘같이 그를 견고케 하리니 그가 그 아비 집에 영광의 보좌가 될 것이요
  I will drive him like a peg into a firm place; he will be a seat of honor for the house of his father.

24. 그 아비 집의 모든 영광이 그 위에 걸리리니 그 후손과 족속 되는 각 작은 그릇 곧 종지로부터 항아리까지리라
  All the glory of his family will hang on him: its offspring and offshoots--all its lesser vessels, from the bowls to all the jars.

25. 만군의 여호와께서 가라사대 그 날에는 단단한 곳에 박혔던 못이 삭으리니 그 못이 부러져 떨어지므로 그 위에 걸린 물건이 파쇄되리라 하셨다 하라 나 여호와의 말이니라
  "In that day," declares the LORD Almighty, "the peg driven into the firm place will give way; it will be sheared off and will fall, and the load hanging on it will be cut down." The LORD has spoken.

베드로후서 3

1. 사랑하는 자들아 내가 이제 이 둘째 편지를 너희에게 쓰노니 이 둘로 너희 진실한 마음을 일깨워 생각하게 하여
  Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking.

2. 곧 거룩한 선지자의 예언한 말씀과 주 되신 구주께서 너희의 사도들로 말미암아 명하신 것을 기억하게 하려 하노라
  I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.

3. 먼저 이것을 알찌니 말세에 기롱하는 자들이 와서 자기의 정욕을 좇아 행하며 기롱하여
  First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

4. 가로되 주의 강림하신다는 약속이 어디 있느뇨 조상들이 잔 후로부터 만물이 처음 창조할 때와 같이 그냥 있다 하니
  They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."

5. 이는 하늘이 옛적부터 있는 것과 땅이 물에서 나와 물로 성립한 것도 하나님의 말씀으로 된 것을 저희가 부러 잊으려 함이로다
  But they deliberately forget that long ago by God's word the heavens existed and the earth was formed out of water and by water.

6. 이로 말미암아 그 때 세상은 물의 넘침으로 멸망하였으되
  By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.

7. 이제 하늘과 땅은 그 동일한 말씀으로 불사르기 위하여 간수하신 바 되어 경건치 아니한 사람들의 심판과 멸망의 날까지 보존하여 두신 것이니라
  By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

8. 사랑하는 자들아 주께는 하루가 천 년 같고 천 년이 하루 같은 이 한 가지를 잊지 말라
  But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

9. 주의 약속은 어떤 이의 더디다고 생각하는 것같이 더딘 것이 아니라 오직 너희를 대하여 오래 참으사 아무도 멸망치 않고 다 회개하기에 이르기를 원하시느니라
  The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10. 그러나 주의 날이 도적같이 오리니 그 날에는 하늘이 큰 소리로 떠나가고 체질이 뜨거운 불에 풀어지고 땅과 그 중에 있는 모든 일이 드러나리로다
  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.

11. 이 모든 것이 이렇게 풀어지리니 너희가 어떠한 사람이 되어야 마땅하뇨 거룩한 행실과 경건함으로
  Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives

12. 하나님의 날이 임하기를 바라보고 간절히 사모하라 그 날에 하늘이 불에 타서 풀어지고 체질이 뜨거운 불에 녹아지려니와
  as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

13. 우리는 그의 약속대로 의의 거하는 바 새 하늘과 새 땅을 바라보도다
  But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.

14. 그러므로 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 이것을 바라보나니 주 앞에서 점도 없고 흠도 없이 평강 가운데서 나타나기를 힘쓰라
  So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him.

15. 또 우리 주의 오래 참으심이 구원이 될 줄로 여기라 우리 사랑하는 형제 바울도 그 받은 지혜대로 너희에게 이같이 썼고
  Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

16. 또 그 모든 편지에도 이런 일에 관하여 말하였으되 그 중에 알기 어려운 것이 더러 있으니 무식한 자들과 굳세지 못한 자들이 다른 성경과 같이 그것도 억지로 풀다가 스스로 멸망에 이르느니라
  He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

17. 그러므로 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 이것을 미리 알았은즉 무법한 자들의 미혹에 이끌려 너희 굳센 데서 떨어질까 삼가라
  Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.

18. 오직 우리 주 곧 구주 예수 그리스도의 은혜와 저를 아는 지식에서 자라 가라 영광이 이제와 영원한 날까지 저에게 있을찌어다
  But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
