민수기 16

1. 레위의 증손 고핫의 손자 이스할의 아들 고라와 르우벤 자손 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람과 벨렛의 아들 온이 당을 짓고
  Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and certain Reubenites--Dathan and Abiram, sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth--became insolent

2. 이스라엘 자손 총회에 택함을 받은 자 곧 회중에 유명한 어떤 족장 이백 오십 인과 함께 일어나서 모세를 거스리니라
  and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council.

3. 그들이 모여서 모세와 아론을 거스려 그들에게 이르되 너희가 분수에 지나도다 회중이 다 각각 거룩하고 여호와께서도 그들 중에 계시거늘 너희가 어찌하여 여호와의 총회 위에 스스로 높이느뇨
  They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, "You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the LORD'S assembly?"

4. 모세가 듣고 엎드렸다가
  When Moses heard this, he fell facedown.

5. 고라와 그 모든 무리에게 말하여 가로되 아침에 여호와께서 자기에게 속한 자가 누구인지, 거룩한 자가 누구인지 보이시고 그 자를 자기에게 가까이 나아오게 하시되 곧 그가 택하신 자를 자기에게 가까이 나아오게 하시리니
  Then he said to Korah and all his followers: "In the morning the LORD will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him. The man he chooses he will cause to come near him.

6. 이렇게 하라 너 고라와 너의 모든 무리는 향로를 취하고
  You, Korah, and all your followers are to do this: Take censers

7. 내일 여호와 앞에서 그 향로에 불을 담고 그 위에 향을 두라 그 때에 여호와의 택하신 자는 거룩하게 되리라 레위 자손들아 너희가 너무 분수에 지나치느니라
  and tomorrow put fire and incense in them before the LORD. The man the LORD chooses will be the one who is holy. You Levites have gone too far!"

8. 모세가 또 고라에게 이르되 너희 레위 자손들아 들으라
  Moses also said to Korah, "Now listen, you Levites!

9. 이스라엘의 하나님이 이스라엘 회중에서 너희를 구별하여 자기에게 가까이 하게 하사 여호와의 성막에서 봉사하게 하시며 회중 앞에 서서 그들을 대신하여 섬기게 하심이 너희에게 작은 일이겠느냐
  Isn't it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the LORD'S tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them?

10. 하나님이 너와 네 모든 형제 레위 자손으로 너와 함께 가까이 오게 하신 것이 작은 일이 아니어늘 너희가 오히려 제사장의 직분을 구하느냐
  He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself, but now you are trying to get the priesthood too.

11. 이를 위하여 너와 너의 무리가 다 모여서 여호와를 거스리는도다 아론은 어떠한 사람이관대 너희가 그를 원망하느냐
  It is against the LORD that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?"

12. 모세가 엘리압의 아들 다단과 아비람을 부르러 보내었더니 그들이 가로되 우리는 올라가지 않겠노라
  Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab. But they said, "We will not come!

13. 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅에서 이끌어 내어 광야에서 죽이려 함이 어찌 작은 일이기에 오히려 스스로 우리 위에 왕이 되려 하느냐
  Isn't it enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the desert? And now you also want to lord it over us?

14. 이뿐 아니라 네가 우리를 젖과 꿀이 흐르는 땅으로 인도하여 들이지도 아니하고 밭도 포도원도 우리에게 기업으로 주지 아니하니 네가 이 사람들의 눈을 빼려느냐 우리는 올라가지 아니하겠노라
  Moreover, you haven't brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you gouge out the eyes of these men? No, we will not come!"

15. 모세가 심히 노하여 여호와께 여짜오되 주는 그들의 예물을 돌아보지 마옵소서 나는 그들의 한 나귀도 취하지 아니하였고 그들의 한 사람도 해하지 아니하였나이다 하고
  Then Moses became very angry and said to the LORD, "Do not accept their offering. I have not taken so much as a donkey from them, nor have I wronged any of them."

16. 이에 고라에게 이르되 너와 너의 온 무리는 아론과 함께 내일 여호와 앞으로 나아오되
  Moses said to Korah, "You and all your followers are to appear before the LORD tomorrow--you and they and Aaron.

17. 너희는 각기 향로를 잡고 그 위에 향을 두고 각 사람이 그 향로를 여호와 앞으로 가져오라 향로는 모두 이백 오십이라 너와 아론도 각각 향로를 가지고 올찌니라
  Each man is to take his censer and put incense in it--250 censers in all--and present it before the LORD. You and Aaron are to present your censers also."

18. 그들이 각기 향로를 취하여 불을 담고 향을 그 위에 두고 모세와 아론으로 더불어 회막문에 서니라
  So each man took his censer, put fire and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

19. 고라가 온 회중을 회막문에 모아 놓고 그 두 사람을 대적하려 하매 여호와의 영광이 온 회중에게 나타나시니라
  When Korah had gathered all his followers in opposition to them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the glory of the LORD appeared to the entire assembly.

20. 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 일러 가라사대
  The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,

21. 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라
  "Separate yourselves from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once."

22. 그 두 사람이 엎드려 가로되 하나님이여 모든 육체의 생명의 하나님이여 한 사람이 범죄하였거늘 온 회중에게 진노하시나이까
  But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out, "O God, God of the spirits of all mankind, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?"

23. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  Then the LORD said to Moses,

24. 회중에게 명하여 이르기를 너희는 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면에서 떠나라 하라
  "Say to the assembly, 'Move away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram.'"

25. 모세가 일어나 다단과 아비람에게로 가니 이스라엘 장로들이 좇았더라
  Moses got up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him.

26. 모세가 회중에게 일러 가로되 이 악인들의 장막에서 떠나고 그들의 물건은 아무것도 만지지 말라 그들의 모든 죄 중에서 너희도 멸망할까 두려워하노라 하매
  He warned the assembly, "Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins."

27. 무리가 고라와 다단과 아비람의 장막 사면을 떠나고 다단과 아비람은 그 처자와 유아들과 함께 나와서 자기 장막문에 선지라
  So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children and little ones at the entrances to their tents.

28. 모세가 가로되 여호와께서 나를 보내사 이 모든 일을 행케 하신 것이요 나의 임의로 함이 아닌 줄을 이 일로 인하여 알리라
  Then Moses said, "This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea:

29. 곧 이 사람들의 죽음이 모든 사람과 일반이요 그들의 당하는 벌이 모든 사람의 당하는 벌과 일반이면 여호와께서 나를 보내심이 아니어니와
  If these men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the LORD has not sent me.

30. 만일 여호와께서 새 일을 행하사 땅으로 입을 열어 이 사람들과 그들의 모든 소속을 삼켜 산 채로 음부에 빠지게 하시면 이 사람들이 과연 여호와를 멸시한 것인 줄을 너희가 알리라
  But if the LORD brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave, then you will know that these men have treated the LORD with contempt."

31. 이 모든 말을 마치는 동시에 그들의 밑의 땅이 갈라지니라
  As soon as he finished saying all this, the ground under them split apart

32. 땅이 그 입을 열어 그들과 그 가족과 고라에게 속한 모든 사람과 그 물건을 삼키매
  and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them, with their households and all Korah's men and all their possessions.

33. 그들과 그 모든 소속이 산 채로 음부에 빠지며 땅이 그 위에 합하니 그들이 총회 중에서 망하니라
  They went down alive into the grave, with everything they owned; the earth closed over them, and they perished and were gone from the community.

34. 그 주위에 있는 온 이스라엘이 그들의 부르짖음을 듣고 도망하며 가로되 땅이 우리도 삼킬까 두렵다 하였고
  At their cries, all the Israelites around them fled, shouting, "The earth is going to swallow us too!"

35. 여호와께로서 불이 나와서 분향하는 이백오십 인을 소멸하였더라
  And fire came out from the LORD and consumed the 250 men who were offering the incense.

36. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  The LORD said to Moses,

37. 너는 제사장 아론의 아들 엘르아살을 명하여 붙는 불 가운데서 향로를 취하여다가 그 불을 타처에 쏟으라 그 향로는 거룩함이니라
  "Tell Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, to take the censers out of the smoldering remains and scatter the coals some distance away, for the censers are holy--

38. 사람들은 범죄하여 그 생명을 스스로 해하였거니와 그들이 향로를 여호와 앞에 드렸으므로 그 향로가 거룩하게 되었나니 그 향로를 쳐서 제단을 싸는 편철을 만들라 이스라엘 자손에게 표가 되리라 하신지라
  the censers of the men who sinned at the cost of their lives. Hammer the censers into sheets to overlay the altar, for they were presented before the LORD and have become holy. Let them be a sign to the Israelites."

39. 제사장 엘르아살이 불탄 자들의 드렸던 놋 향로를 취하여 쳐서 제단을 싸서
  So Eleazar the priest collected the bronze censers brought by those who had been burned up, and he had them hammered out to overlay the altar,

40. 이스라엘 자손의 기념물이 되게 하였으니 이는 아론 자손이 아닌 외인은 여호와 앞에 분향하러 가까이 오지 못하게 함이며 또 고라와 그 무리와 같이 되지 않게 하기 위함이라 여호와께서 모세로 그에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
  as the LORD directed him through Moses. This was to remind the Israelites that no one except a descendant of Aaron should come to burn incense before the LORD, or he would become like Korah and his followers.

41. 이튿날 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 모세와 아론을 원망하여 가로되 너희가 여호와의 백성을 죽였도다 하고
  The next day the whole Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. "You have killed the LORD'S people," they said.

42. 회중이 모여 모세와 아론을 칠 때에 회막을 바라본즉 구름이 회막을 덮었고 여호와의 영광이 나타났더라
  But when the assembly gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron and turned toward the Tent of Meeting, suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the LORD appeared.

43. 모세와 아론이 회막 앞에 이르매
  Then Moses and Aaron went to the front of the Tent of Meeting,

44. 여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
  and the LORD said to Moses,

45. 너희는 이 회중에게서 떠나라 내가 순식간에 그들을 멸하려 하노라 하시매 그 두 사람이 엎드리니라
  "Get away from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once." And they fell facedown.

46. 이에 모세가 아론에게 이르되 너는 향로를 취하고 단의 불을 그것에 담고 그 위에 향을 두어 가지고 급히 회중에게로 가서 그들을 위하여 속죄하라 여호와께서 진노하셨으므로 염병이 시작되었음이니라
  Then Moses said to Aaron, "Take your censer and put incense in it, along with fire from the altar, and hurry to the assembly to make atonement for them. Wrath has come out from the LORD; the plague has started."

47. 아론이 모세의 명을 좇아 향로를 가지고 회중에게로 달려간즉 백성 중에 염병이 시작되었는지라 이에 백성을 위하여 속죄하고
  So Aaron did as Moses said, and ran into the midst of the assembly. The plague had already started among the people, but Aaron offered the incense and made atonement for them.

48. 죽은 자와 산 자 사이에 섰을 때에 염병이 그치니라
  He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped.

49. 고라의 일로 죽은 자 외에 염병에 죽은 자가 일만 사천칠백 명이었더라
  But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah.

50. 염병이 그치매 아론이 회막문 모세에게로 돌아오니라
  Then Aaron returned to Moses at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, for the plague had stopped.

시편 52-54

1. 강포한 자여 네가 어찌하여 악한 계획을 스스로 자랑하는고 하나님의 인자하심은 항상 있도다
  For the director of music. A maskil of David. When Doeg the Edomite had gone to Saul and told him: "David has gone to the house of Ahimelech." Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?

2. 네 혀가 심한 악을 꾀하여 날카로운 삭도같이 간사를 행하는도다
  Your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor, you who practice deceit.

3. 네가 선보다 악을 사랑하며 의를 말함보다 거짓을 사랑하는도다 (셀라)
  You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth. Selah

4. 간사한 혀여 네가 잡아먹는 모든 말을 좋아하는도다
  You love every harmful word, O you deceitful tongue!

5. 그런즉 하나님이 영영히 너를 멸하심이여 너를 취하여 네 장막에서 뽑아 내며 생존하는 땅에서 네 뿌리를 빼시리로다 (셀라)
  Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah

6. 의인이 보고 두려워하며 또 저를 비웃어 말하기를
  The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at him, saying,

7. 이 사람은 하나님으로 자기 힘을 삼지 아니하고 오직 그 재물의 풍부함을 의지하며 제 악으로 스스로 든든케 하던 자라 하리로다
  "Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth and grew strong by destroying others!"

8. 오직 나는 하나님의 집에 있는 푸른 감람나무 같음이여 하나님의 인자하심을 영영히 의지하리로다
  But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever.

9. 주께서 이를 행하셨으므로 내가 영영히 주께 감사하고 주의 이름이 선함으로 주의 성도 앞에서 내가 주의 이름을 의지하리이다
  I will praise you forever for what you have done; in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will praise you in the presence of your saints.

1. 어리석은 자는 그 마음에 이르기를 하나님이 없다 하도다 저희는 부패하며 가증한 악을 행함이여 선을 행하는 자가 없도다
  For the director of music. According to mahalath. A maskil of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.

2. 하나님이 하늘에서 인생을 굽어살피사 지각이 있는 자와 하나님을 찾는 자가 있는가 보려 하신즉
  God looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.

3. 각기 물러가 함께 더러운 자가 되고 선을 행하는 자 없으니 하나도 없도다
  Everyone has turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

4. 죄악을 행하는 자는 무지하뇨 저희가 떡 먹듯이 내 백성을 먹으면서 하나님을 부르지 아니하는도다
  Will the evildoers never learn--those who devour my people as men eat bread and who do not call on God?

5. 저희가 두려움이 없는 곳에서 크게 두려워하였으니 너를 대하여 진친 저희의 뼈를 하나님이 흩으심이라 하나님이 저희를 버리신 고로 네가 저희로 수치를 당케 하였도다
  There they were, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them.

6. 시온에서 이스라엘을 구원하여 줄 자 누구인고 하나님이 그 백성의 포로된 것을 돌이키실 때에 야곱이 즐거워하며 이스라엘이 기뻐하리로다
  Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!

1. 하나님이여 주의 이름으로 나를 구원하시고 주의 힘으로 나를 판단하소서
  For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskil of David. When the Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, "Is not David hiding among us?" Save me, O God, by your name; vindicate me by your might.

2. 하나님이여 내 기도를 들으시며 내 입의 말에 귀를 기울이소서
  Hear my prayer, O God; listen to the words of my mouth.

3. 외인이 일어나 나를 치며 강포한 자가 내 생명을 수색하며 하나님을 자기 앞에 두지 아니하였음이니이다 (셀라)
  Strangers are attacking me; ruthless men seek my life--men without regard for God. Selah

4. 하나님은 나의 돕는 자시라 주께서 내 생명을 붙드는 자와 함께 하시나이다
  Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.

5. 주께서 내 원수에게 악으로 갚으시리니 주의 성실하심으로 저희를 멸하소서
  Let evil recoil on those who slander me; in your faithfulness destroy them.

6. 내가 낙헌제로 주께 제사하리이다 여호와여 주의 이름에 감사하오리니 주의 이름이 선하심이니이다
  I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, O LORD, for it is good.

7. 대저 주께서 모든 환난에서 나를 건지시고 내 원수가 보응받는 것을 나로 목도케 하셨나이다
  For he has delivered me from all my troubles, and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.

■ 혼자 읽기

이사야 6

1. 웃시야 왕의 죽던 해에 내가 본즉 주께서 높이 들린 보좌에 앉으셨는데 그 옷자락은 성전에 가득하였고
  In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple.

2. 스랍들은 모셔 섰는데 각기 여섯 날개가 있어 그 둘로는 그 얼굴을 가리었고 그 둘로는 그 발을 가리었고 그 둘로는 날며
  Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.

3. 서로 창화하여 가로되 거룩하다 거룩하다 거룩하다 만군의 여호와여 그 영광이 온 땅에 충만하도다
  And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."

4. 이같이 창화하는 자의 소리로 인하여 문지방의 터가 요동하며 집에 연기가 충만한지라
  At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.

5. 그 때에 내가 말하되 화로다 나여 망하게 되었도다 나는 입술이 부정한 사람이요 입술이 부정한 백성 중에 거하면서 만군의 여호와이신 왕을 뵈었음이로다
  "Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."

6. 때에 그 스랍의 하나가 화저로 단에서 취한 바 핀 숯을 손에 가지고 내게로 날아와서
  Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.

7. 그것을 내 입에 대며 가로되 보라 이것이 네 입에 닿았으니 네 악이 제하여졌고 네 죄가 사하여졌느니라 하더라
  With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for."

8. 내가 또 주의 목소리를 들은즉 이르시되 내가 누구를 보내며 누가 우리를 위하여 갈꼬 그 때에 내가 가로되 내가 여기 있나이다 나를 보내소서
  Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

9. 여호와께서 가라사대 가서 이 백성에게 이르기를 너희가 듣기는 들어도 깨닫지 못할 것이요 보기는 보아도 알지 못하리라 하여
  He said, "Go and tell this people: "'Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.'

10. 이 백성의 마음으로 둔하게 하며 그 귀가 막히고 눈이 감기게 하라 염려컨대 그들이 눈으로 보고 귀로 듣고 마음으로 깨닫고 다시 돌아와서 고침을 받을까 하노라
  Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed."

11. 내가 가로되 주여 어느 때까지니이까 대답하시되 성읍들은 황폐하여 거민이 없으며 가옥들에는 사람이 없고 이 토지가 전폐하게 되며
  Then I said, "For how long, O Lord?" And he answered: "Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged,

12. 사람들이 여호와께 멀리 옮기워서 이 땅 가운데 폐한 곳이 많을 때까지니라
  until the LORD has sent everyone far away and the land is utterly forsaken.

13. 그 중에 십분의 일이 오히려 남아 있을찌라도 이것도 삼키운바 될 것이나 밤나무, 상수리나무가 베임을 당하여도 그 그루터기는 남아 있는 것 같이 거룩한 씨가 이 땅의 그루터기니라
  And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed will be the stump in the land."

히브리서 13

1. 형제 사랑하기를 계속하고
  Keep on loving each other as brothers.

2. 손님 대접하기를 잊지 말라 이로써 부지중에 천사들을 대접한 이들이 있었느니라
  Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.

3. 자기도 함께 갇힌 것같이 갇힌 자를 생각하고 자기도 몸을 가졌은즉 학대받는 자를 생각하라
  Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

4. 모든 사람은 혼인을 귀히 여기고 침소를 더럽히지 않게 하라 음행하는 자들과 간음하는 자들을 하나님이 심판하시리라
  Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

5. 돈을 사랑치 말고 있는 바를 족한 줄로 알라 그가 친히 말씀하시기를 내가 과연 너희를 버리지 아니하고 과연 너희를 떠나지 아니하리라 하셨느니라
  Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

6. 그러므로 우리가 담대히 가로되 주는 나를 돕는 자시니 내가 무서워 아니하겠노라 사람이 내게 어찌하리요 하노라
  So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

7. 하나님의 말씀을 너희에게 이르고 너희를 인도하던 자들을 생각하며 저희 행실의 종말을 주의하여 보고 저희 믿음을 본받으라
  Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

8. 예수 그리스도는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하시니라
  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

9. 여러 가지 다른 교훈에 끌리지 말라 마음은 은혜로써 굳게 함이 아름답고 식물로써 할 것이 아니니 식물로 말미암아 행한 자는 유익을 얻지 못하였느니라
  Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them.

10. 우리에게 제단이 있는데 그 위에 있는 제물은 장막에서 섬기는 자들이 이 제단에서 먹을 권이 없나니
  We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat.

11. 이는 죄를 위한 짐승의 피는 대제사장이 가지고 성소에 들어가고 그 육체는 영문 밖에서 불사름이니라
  The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp.

12. 그러므로 예수도 자기 피로써 백성을 거룩케 하려고 성문 밖에서 고난을 받으셨느니라
  And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood.

13. 그런즉 우리는 그 능욕을 지고 영문 밖으로 그에게 나아가자
  Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.

14. 우리가 여기는 영구한 도성이 없고 오직 장차 올 것을 찾나니
  For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.

15. 이러므로 우리가 예수로 말미암아 항상 찬미의 제사를 하나님께 드리자 이는 그 이름을 증거하는 입술의 열매니라
  Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name.

16. 오직 선을 행함과 서로 나눠 주기를 잊지 말라 이같은 제사는 하나님이 기뻐하시느니라
  And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

17. 너희를 인도하는 자들에게 순종하고 복종하라 저희는 너희 영혼을 위하여 경성하기를 자기가 회계할 자인 것같이 하느니라 저희로 하여금 즐거움으로 이것을 하게 하고 근심으로 하게 말라 그렇지 않으면 너희에게 유익이 없느니라
  Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.

18. 우리를 위하여 기도하라 우리가 모든 일에 선하게 행하려 하므로 우리에게 선한 양심이 있는 줄을 확신하노니
  Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way.

19. 내가 더 속히 너희에게 돌아가기를 위하여 너희 기도함을 더욱 원하노라
  I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.

20. 양의 큰 목자이신 우리 주 예수를 영원한 언약의 피로 죽은 자 가운데서 이끌어 내신 평강의 하나님이
  May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,

21. 모든 선한 일에 너희를 온전케 하사 자기 뜻을 행하게 하시고 그 앞에 즐거운 것을 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 우리 속에 이루시기를 원하노라 영광이 그에게 세세무궁토록 있을찌어다 아멘
  equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

22. 형제들아 내가 너희를 권하노니 권면의 말을 용납하라 내가 간단히 너희에게 썼느니라
  Brothers, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written you only a short letter.

23. 우리 형제 디모데가 놓인 것을 너희가 알라 그가 속히 오면 내가 저와 함께 가서 너희를 보리라
  I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.

24. 너희를 인도하는 자와 및 모든 성도에게 문안하라 이달리야에서 온 자들도 너희에게 문안하느니라
  Greet all your leaders and all God's people. Those from Italy send you their greetings.

25. 은혜가 너희 모든 사람에게 있을찌어다
  Grace be with you all.
