출애굽기 39

1. 그들이 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 청색 자색 홍색실로 성소에서 섬기기 위한 정교한 옷을 만들고 또 아론을 위한 거룩한 옷을 만들었더라
  From the blue, purple and scarlet yarn they made woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary. They also made sacred garments for Aaron, as the LORD commanded Moses.

2. 그가 또 금실과 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 에봇을 만들었으되
  They made the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.

3. 금을 얇게 쳐서 오려서 실을 만들어 청색 자색 홍색실과 가는 베실에 섞어 공교히 짜고
  They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut strands to be worked into the blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen--the work of a skilled craftsman.

4. 에봇을 위하여 견대를 만들어 그 두 끝에 달아 서로 연하게 하고
  They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, which were attached to two of its corners, so it could be fastened.

5. 에봇 위에 에봇을 매는 띠를 에봇과 같은 모양으로 금실과 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 에봇에 붙여 짰으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
  Its skillfully woven waistband was like it--of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen, as the LORD commanded Moses.

6. 그들이 또 호마노를 깎아 금테에 물려 인을 새김같이 이스라엘의 아들들의 이름을 그것에 새겨
  They mounted the onyx stones in gold filigree settings and engraved them like a seal with the names of the sons of Israel.

7. 에봇 견대에 달아 이스라엘 자손의 기념 보석을 삼았으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
  Then they fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.

8. 그가 또 흉패를 공교히 짜되 에봇과 같은 모양으로 금실과 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 하였으니
  They fashioned the breastpiece--the work of a skilled craftsman. They made it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.

9. 그것의 장이 한 뼘, 광이 한 뼘으로 네모 반듯하고 두 겹이며
  It was square--a span long and a span wide--and folded double.

10. 그것에 네 줄 보석을 물렸으니 곧 홍보석 황옥 녹주옥이 첫 줄이요
  Then they mounted four rows of precious stones on it. In the first row there was a ruby, a topaz and a beryl;

11. 둘째 줄은 석류석 남보석 홍마노요
  in the second row a turquoise, a sapphire and an emerald;

12. 세째 줄은 호박 백마노 자수정이요
  in the third row a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst;

13. 네째 줄은 녹보석 호마노 벽옥이라 다 금테에 물렸으니
  in the fourth row a chrysolite, an onyx and a jasper. They were mounted in gold filigree settings.

14. 이 보석들은 이스라엘 아들들의 이름 곧 그들의 이름대로 열둘이라 인을 새김같이 그 열두 지파의 각 이름을 새겼으며
  There were twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.

15. 그들이 또 정금으로 사슬을 노끈처럼 땋아 흉패에 붙이고
  For the breastpiece they made braided chains of pure gold, like a rope.

16. 또 금테 둘과 금고리 둘을 만들어 그 두 고리를 흉패 두 끝에 달고
  They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and fastened the rings to two of the corners of the breastpiece.

17. 그 두 땋은 금사슬을 흉패 끝 두 고리에 꿰어 매었으며
  They fastened the two gold chains to the rings at the corners of the breastpiece,

18. 그 땋은 두 사슬의 다른 두 끝을 에봇 앞 두 견대의 금테에 매고
  and the other ends of the chains to the two settings, attaching them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front.

19. 또 금고리 둘을 만들어 흉패 두 끝에 달았으니 곧 그 에봇에 대한 안쪽 가에 달았으며
  They made two gold rings and attached them to the other two corners of the breastpiece on the inside edge next to the ephod.

20. 또 금고리 둘을 만들어 에봇 앞 두 견대 아래 매는 자리 가까운 편 곧 공교히 짠 에봇 띠 윗편에 달고
  Then they made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the seam just above the waistband of the ephod.

21. 청색 끈으로 흉패 고리와 에봇 고리에 꿰어 흉패로 공교히 짠 에봇 띠 위에 붙여서 에봇을 떠나지 않게 하였으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
  They tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the ephod with blue cord, connecting it to the waistband so that the breastpiece would not swing out from the ephod--as the LORD commanded Moses.

22. 그가 에봇 받침 긴 옷을 전부 청색으로 짜서 만들되
  They made the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth--the work of a weaver--

23. 그 옷의 두 어깨 사이에 구멍을 내고 갑옷깃같이 그 구멍 주위에 깃을 짜서 찢어지지 않게 하고
  with an opening in the center of the robe like the opening of a collar, and a band around this opening, so that it would not tear.

24. 청색 자색 홍색실과 가는 베실로 그 옷 가장자리에 석류를 수놓고
  They made pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen around the hem of the robe.

25. 정금으로 방울을 만들어 그 옷 가장자리로 돌아가며 석류 사이사이에 달되
  And they made bells of pure gold and attached them around the hem between the pomegranates.

26. 방울과 석류를 서로 간격하여 공직하는 그 옷 가장자리로 돌아가며 달았으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
  The bells and pomegranates alternated around the hem of the robe to be worn for ministering, as the LORD commanded Moses.

27. 그들이 또 직조한 가는 베로 아론과 그 아들들을 위하여 속옷을 짓고
  For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen--the work of a weaver--

28. 세마포로 두건을 짓고 세마포로 빛난 관을 만들고 가는 베실로 짜서 세마포 고의들을 만들고
  and the turban of fine linen, the linen headbands and the undergarments of finely twisted linen.

29. 가는 베실과 청색 자색 홍색실로 수놓아 띠를 만들었으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
  The sash was of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn--the work of an embroiderer--as the LORD commanded Moses.

30. 그들이 또 정금으로 거룩한 패를 만들고 인을 새김같이 그 위에 (여호와께 성결)이라 새기고
  They made the plate, the sacred diadem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.

31. 그 패를 청색 끈으로 관 전면에 달았으니 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 하였더라
  Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses.

32. 이스라엘 자손이 이와 같이 성막 곧 회막의 모든 역사를 준공하여 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 다 행하고
  So all the work on the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, was completed. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.

33. 그들이 성막을 모세에게로 가져왔으니 곧 막과 그 모든 기구와 그 갈고리들과 그 널판들과 그 띠들과 그 기둥들과 그 받침들과
  Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases;

34. 붉은 물 들인 수양의 가죽 덮개와 해달의 가죽 덮개와 가리우는 장과
  the covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of hides of sea cows and the shielding curtain;

35. 증거궤와 그 채들과 속죄소와
  the ark of the Testimony with its poles and the atonement cover;

36. 상과 그 모든 기구와 진설병과
  the table with all its articles and the bread of the Presence;

37. 정금 등대와 그 잔 곧 벌여 놓은 등잔과 그 모든 기구와 등유와
  the pure gold lampstand with its row of lamps and all its accessories, and the oil for the light;

38. 금단과 관유와 향기로운 향과 장막 문장과
  the gold altar, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the curtain for the entrance to the tent;

39. 놋단과 그 놋 그물과 그 채들과 그 모든 기구와 물두멍과 그 받침과
  the bronze altar with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the basin with its stand;

40. 뜰의 포장들과 그 기둥들과 그 받침들과 뜰문의 장과 그 줄들과 그 말뚝들과 회막의 소용 곧 성막의 모든 기구와
  the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard; the ropes and tent pegs for the courtyard; all the furnishings for the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting;

41. 성소에서 섬기기 위한 정교한 옷 곧 제사 직분을 행할 때에 입는 제사장 아론의 거룩한 옷과 그 아들들의 옷이라
  and the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when serving as priests.

42. 여호와께서 모세에게 명하신 대로 이스라엘 자손이 모든 역사를 필하매
  The Israelites had done all the work just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

43. 모세가 그 필한 모든 것을 본즉 여호와께서 명하신 대로 되었으므로 그들에게 축복하였더라
  Moses inspected the work and saw that they had done it just as the LORD had commanded. So Moses blessed them.

요한복음 18

1. 예수께서 이 말씀을 하시고 제자들과 함께 기드론 시내 저편으로 나가시니 거기 동산이 있는데 제자들과 함께 들어가시다
  When he had finished praying, Jesus left with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Valley. On the other side there was an olive grove, and he and his disciples went into it.

2. 거기는 예수께서 제자들과 가끔 모이시는 곳이므로 예수를 파는 유다도 그 곳을 알더라
  Now Judas, who betrayed him, knew the place, because Jesus had often met there with his disciples.

3. 유다가 군대와 및 대제사장들과 바리새인들에게서 얻은 하속들을 데리고 등과 홰와 병기를 가지고 그리로 오는지라
  So Judas came to the grove, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.

4. 예수께서 그 당할 일을 다 아시고 나아가 가라사대 너희가 누구를 찾느냐
  Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, "Who is it you want?"

5. 대답하되 나사렛 예수라 하거늘 가라사대 내로라 하시니라 그를 파는 유다도 저희와 함께 섰더라
  "Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "I am he," Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.)

6. 예수께서 저희에게 내로라 하실 때에 저희가 물러가서 땅에 엎드러지는지라
  When Jesus said, "I am he," they drew back and fell to the ground.

7. 이에 다시 누구를 찾느냐고 물으신대 저희가 말하되 나사렛 예수라 하거늘
  Again he asked them, "Who is it you want?" And they said, "Jesus of Nazareth."

8. 예수께서 대답하시되 너희에게 내로라 하였으니 나를 찾거든 이 사람들의 가는 것을 용납하라 하시니
  "I told you that I am he," Jesus answered. "If you are looking for me, then let these men go."

9. 이는 아버지께서 내게 주신 자 중에서 하나도 잃지 아니하였삽나이다 하신 말씀을 응하게 하려 함이러라
  This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: "I have not lost one of those you gave me."

10. 이에 시몬 베드로가 검을 가졌는데 이것을 빼어 대제사장의 종을 쳐서 오른편 귀를 베어 버리니 그 종의 이름은 말고라
  Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant's name was Malchus.)

11. 예수께서 베드로더러 이르시되 검을 집에 꽂으라 아버지께서 주신 잔을 내가 마시지 아니하겠느냐 하시니라
  Jesus commanded Peter, "Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?"

12. 이에 군대와 천부장과 유대인의 하속들이 예수를 잡아 결박하여
  Then the detachment of soldiers with its commander and the Jewish officials arrested Jesus. They bound him

13. 먼저 안나스에게로 끌고 가니 안나스는 그 해의 대제사장인 가야바의 장인이라
  and brought him first to Annas, who was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest that year.

14. 가야바는 유대인들에게 한 사람이 백성을 위하여 죽는 것이 유익하다 권고하던 자러라
  Caiaphas was the one who had advised the Jews that it would be good if one man died for the people.

15. 시몬 베드로와 또 다른 제자 하나가 예수를 따르니 이 제자는 대제사장과 아는 사람이라 예수와 함께 대제사장의 집 뜰에 들어가고
  Simon Peter and another disciple were following Jesus. Because this disciple was known to the high priest, he went with Jesus into the high priest's courtyard,

16. 베드로는 문 밖에 섰는지라 대제사장과 아는 그 다른 제자가 나가서 문 지키는 여자에게 말하여 베드로를 데리고 들어왔더니
  but Peter had to wait outside at the door. The other disciple, who was known to the high priest, came back, spoke to the girl on duty there and brought Peter in.

17. 문 지키는 여종이 베드로에게 말하되 너도 이 사람의 제자 중 하나가 아니냐 하니 그가 말하되 나는 아니라 하고
  "You are not one of his disciples, are you?" the girl at the door asked Peter. He replied, "I am not."

18. 그 때가 추운 고로 종과 하속들이 숯불을 피우고 서서 쬐니 베드로도 함께 서서 쬐더라
  It was cold, and the servants and officials stood around a fire they had made to keep warm. Peter also was standing with them, warming himself.

19. 대제사장이 예수에게 그의 제자들과 그의 교훈에 대하여 물으니
  Meanwhile, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teaching.

20. 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 드러내어 놓고 세상에 말하였노라 모든 유대인들의 모이는 회당과 성전에서 항상 가르쳤고 은밀히는 아무것도 말하지 아니하였거늘
  "I have spoken openly to the world," Jesus replied. "I always taught in synagogues or at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret.

21. 어찌하여 내게 묻느냐 내가 무슨 말을 하였는지 들은 자들에게 물어 보라 저희가 나의 하던 말을 아느니라
  Why question me? Ask those who heard me. Surely they know what I said."

22. 이 말씀을 하시매 곁에 섰는 하속 하나가 손으로 예수를 쳐 가로되 네가 대제사장에게 이같이 대답하느냐 하니
  When Jesus said this, one of the officials nearby struck him in the face. "Is this the way you answer the high priest?" he demanded.

23. 예수께서 대답하시되 내가 말을 잘못하였으면 그 잘못한 것을 증거하라 잘하였으면 네가 어찌하여 나를 치느냐 하시더라
  "If I said something wrong," Jesus replied, "testify as to what is wrong. But if I spoke the truth, why did you strike me?"

24. 안나스가 예수를 결박한 그대로 대제사장 가야바에게 보내니라
  Then Annas sent him, still bound, to Caiaphas the high priest.

25. 시몬 베드로가 서서 불을 쬐더니 사람들이 묻되 너도 그 제자 중 하나가 아니냐 베드로가 부인하여 가로되 나는 아니라 하니
  As Simon Peter stood warming himself, he was asked, "You are not one of his disciples, are you?" He denied it, saying, "I am not."

26. 대제사장의 종 하나는 베드로에게 귀를 베어 버리운 사람의 일가라 가로되 네가 그 사람과 함께 동산에 있던 것을 내가 보지 아니하였느냐
  One of the high priest's servants, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, challenged him, "Didn't I see you with him in the olive grove?"

27. 이에 베드로가 또 부인하니 곧 닭이 울더라
  Again Peter denied it, and at that moment a rooster began to crow.

28. 저희가 예수를 가야바에게서 관정으로 끌고 가니 새벽이라 저희는 더럽힘을 받지 아니하고 유월절 잔치를 먹고자 하여 관정에 들어가지 아니하더라
  Then the Jews led Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness the Jews did not enter the palace; they wanted to be able to eat the Passover.

29. 그러므로 빌라도가 밖으로 저희에게 나가서 말하되 너희가 무슨 일로 이 사람을 고소하느냐
  So Pilate came out to them and asked, "What charges are you bringing against this man?"

30. 대답하여 가로되 이 사람이 행악자가 아니었더면 우리가 당신에게 넘기지 아니하였겠나이다
  "If he were not a criminal," they replied, "we would not have handed him over to you."

31. 빌라도가 가로되 너희가 저를 데려다가 너희 법대로 재판하라 유대인들이 가로되 우리에게는 사람을 죽이는 권이 없나이다 하니
  Pilate said, "Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law." "But we have no right to execute anyone," the Jews objected.

32. 이는 예수께서 자기가 어떠한 죽음으로 죽을 것을 가리켜 하신 말씀을 응하게 하려 함이러라
  This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken indicating the kind of death he was going to die would be fulfilled.

33. 이에 빌라도가 다시 관정에 들어가 예수를 불러 가로되 네가 유대인의 왕이냐
  Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?"

34. 예수께서 대답하시되 이는 네가 스스로 하는 말이뇨 다른 사람들이 나를 대하여 네게 한 말이뇨
  "Is that your own idea," Jesus asked, "or did others talk to you about me?"

35. 빌라도가 대답하되 내가 유대인이냐 네 나라 사람과 대제사장들이 너를 내게 넘겼으니 네가 무엇을 하였느냐
  "Am I a Jew?" Pilate replied. "It was your people and your chief priests who handed you over to me. What is it you have done?"

36. 예수께서 대답하시되 내 나라는 이 세상에 속한 것이 아니라 만일 내 나라가 이 세상에 속한 것이었더면 내 종들이 싸워 나로 유대인들에게 넘기우지 않게 하였으리라 이제 내 나라는 여기에 속한 것이 아니니라
  Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place."

37. 빌라도가 가로되 그러면 네가 왕이 아니냐 예수께서 대답하시되 네 말과 같이 내가 왕이니라내가 이를 위하여 났으며 이를 위하여 세상에 왔나니 곧 진리에 대하여 증거하려 함이로라 무릇 진리에 속한 자는 내 소리를 듣느니라 하신대
  "You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

38. 빌라도가 가로되 진리가 무엇이냐 하더라 이 말을 하고 다시 유대인들에게 나가서 이르되 나는 그에게서 아무 죄도 찾지 못하노라
  "What is truth?" Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, "I find no basis for a charge against him.

39. 유월절이면 내가 너희에게 한 사람을 놓아 주는 전례가 있으니 그러면 너희는 내가 유대인의 왕을 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 하니
  But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner at the time of the Passover. Do you want me to release 'the king of the Jews'?"

40. 저희가 또 소리질러 가로되 이 사람이 아니라 바라바라 하니 바라바는 강도러라
  They shouted back, "No, not him! Give us Barabbas!" Now Barabbas had taken part in a rebellion.

잠언 15

1. 유순한 대답은 분노를 쉬게 하여도 과격한 말은 노를 격동하느니라
  A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

2. 지혜 있는 자의 혀는 지식을 선히 베풀고 미련한 자의 입은 미련한 것을 쏟느니라
  The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.

3. 여호와의 눈은 어디서든지 악인과 선인을 감찰하시느니라
  The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.

4. 온량한 혀는 곧 생명나무라도 패려한 혀는 마음을 상하게 하느니라
  The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.

5. 아비의 훈계를 업신여기는 자는 미련한 자요 경계를 받는 자는 슬기를 얻을 자니라
  A fool spurns his father's discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence.

6. 의인의 집에는 많은 보물이 있어도 악인의 소득은 고통이 되느니라
  The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings them trouble.

7. 지혜로운 자의 입술은 지식을 전파하여도 미련한 자의 마음은 정함이 없느니라
  The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the hearts of fools.

8. 악인의 제사는 여호와께서 미워하셔도 정직한 자의 기도는 그가 기뻐하시느니라
  The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him.

9. 악인의 길은 여호와께서 미워하셔도 의를 따라가는 자는 그가 사랑하시느니라
  The LORD detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness.

10. 도를 배반하는 자는 엄한 징계를 받을 것이요 견책을 싫어하는 자는 죽을 것이니라
  Stern discipline awaits him who leaves the path; he who hates correction will die.

11. 음부와 유명도 여호와의 앞에 드러나거든 하물며 인생의 마음이리요
  Death and Destruction lie open before the LORD--how much more the hearts of men!

12. 거만한 자는 견책받기를 좋아하지 아니하며 지혜 있는 자에게로 가지도 아니하느니라
  A mocker resents correction; he will not consult the wise.

13. 마음의 즐거움은 얼굴을 빛나게 하여도 마음의 근심은 심령을 상하게 하느니라
  A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

14. 명철한 자의 마음은 지식을 요구하고 미련한 자의 입은 미련한 것을 즐기느니라
  The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly.

15. 고난받는 자는 그 날이 다 험악하나 마음이 즐거운 자는 항상 잔치하느니라
  All the days of the oppressed are wretched, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.

16. 가산이 적어도 여호와를 경외하는 것이 크게 부하고 번뇌하는 것보다 나으니라
  Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil.

17. 여간 채소를 먹으며 서로 사랑하는 것이 살진 소를 먹으며 서로 미워하는 것보다 나으니라
  Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred.

18. 분을 쉽게 내는 자는 다툼을 일으켜도 노하기를 더디하는 자는 시비를 그치게 하느니라
  A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.

19. 게으른 자의 길은 가시 울타리 같으나 정직한 자의 길은 대로니라
  The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway.

20. 지혜로운 아들은 아비를 즐겁게 하여도 미련한 자는 어미를 업신여기느니라
  A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.

21. 무지한 자는 미련한 것을 즐겨하여도 명철한 자는 그 길을 바르게 하느니라
  Folly delights a man who lacks judgment, but a man of understanding keeps a straight course.

22. 의논이 없으면 경영이 파하고 모사가 많으면 경영이 성립하느니라
  Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.

23. 사람은 그 입의 대답으로 말미암아 기쁨을 얻나니 때에 맞은 말이 얼마나 아름다운고
  A man finds joy in giving an apt reply--and how good is a timely word!

24. 지혜로운 자는 위로 향한 생명 길로 말미암음으로 그 아래 있는 음부를 떠나게 되느니라
  The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave.

25. 여호와는 교만한 자의 집을 허시며 과부의 지계를 정하시느니라
  The LORD tears down the proud man's house but he keeps the widow's boundaries intact.

26. 악한 꾀는 여호와의 미워하시는 것이라도 선한 말은 정결하니라
  The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him.

27. 이를 탐하는 자는 자기 집을 해롭게 하나 뇌물을 싫어하는 자는 사느니라
  A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who hates bribes will live.

28. 의인의 마음은 대답할 말을 깊이 생각하여도 악인의 입은 악을 쏟느니라
  The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.

29. 여호와는 악인을 멀리하시고 의인의 기도를 들으시느니라
  The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

30. 눈의 밝은 것은 마음을 기쁘게 하고 좋은 기별은 뼈를 윤택하게 하느니라
  A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.

31. 생명의 경계를 듣는 귀는 지혜로운 자 가운데 있느니라
  He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise.

32. 훈계받기를 싫어하는 자는 자기의 영혼을 경히 여김이라 견책을 달게 받는 자는 지식을 얻느니라
  He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.

33. 여호와를 경외하는 것은 지혜의 훈계라 겸손은 존귀의 앞잡이니라
  The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

빌립보서 2

1. 그러므로 그리스도 안에 무슨 권면이나 사랑에 무슨 위로나 성령의 무슨 교제나 긍휼이나 자비가 있거든
  If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

2. 마음을 같이하여 같은 사랑을 가지고 뜻을 합하며 한 마음을 품어
  then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

3. 아무 일에든지 다툼이나 허영으로 하지 말고 오직 겸손한 마음으로 각각 자기보다 남을 낫게 여기고
  Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

4. 각각 자기 일을 돌아볼 뿐더러 또한 각각 다른 사람들의 일을 돌아보아 나의 기쁨을 충만케 하라
  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

5. 너희 안에 이 마음을 품으라 곧 그리스도 예수의 마음이니
  Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:

6. 그는 근본 하나님의 본체시나 하나님과 동등됨을 취할 것으로 여기지 아니하시고
  Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,

7. 오히려 자기를 비어 종의 형체를 가져 사람들과 같이 되었고
  but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.

8. 사람의 모양으로 나타나셨으매 자기를 낮추시고 죽기까지 복종하셨으니 곧 십자가에 죽으심이라
  And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death--even death on a cross!

9. 이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사
  Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,

10. 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고
  that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11. 모든 입으로 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라
  and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12. 그러므로 나의 사랑하는 자들아 너희가 나 있을 때뿐 아니라 더욱 지금 나 없을 때에도 항상 복종하여 두렵고 떨림으로 너희 구원을 이루라
  Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

13. 너희 안에서 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 자기의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 너희로 소원을 두고 행하게 하시나니
  for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

14. 모든 일을 원망과 시비가 없이 하라
  Do everything without complaining or arguing,

15. 이는 너희가 흠이 없고 순전하여 어그러지고 거스리는 세대 가운데서 하나님의 흠 없는 자녀로 세상에서 그들 가운데 빛들로 나타내며
  so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe

16. 생명의 말씀을 밝혀 나의 달음질도 헛되지 아니하고 수고도 헛되지 아니함으로 그리스도의 날에 나로 자랑할 것이 있게 하려 함이라
  as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.

17. 만일 너희 믿음의 제물과 봉사 위에 내가 나를 관제로 드릴찌라도 나는 기뻐하고 너희 무리와 함께 기뻐하리니
  But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you.

18. 이와 같이 너희도 기뻐하고 나와 함께 기뻐하라
  So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.

19. 내가 디모데를 속히 너희에게 보내기를 주 안에서 바람은 너희 사정을 앎으로 안위를 받으려 함이니
  I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, that I also may be cheered when I receive news about you.

20. 이는 뜻을 같이하여 너희 사정을 진실히 생각할 자가 이밖에 내게 없음이라
  I have no one else like him, who takes a genuine interest in your welfare.

21. 저희가 다 자기 일을 구하고 그리스도 예수의 일을 구하지 아니하되
  For everyone looks out for his own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

22. 디모데의 연단을 너희가 아나니 자식이 아비에게 함같이 나와 함께 복음을 위하여 수고하였느니라
  But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.

23. 그러므로 내가 내 일이 어떻게 될 것을 보아서 곧 이 사람을 보내기를 바라고
  I hope, therefore, to send him as soon as I see how things go with me.

24. 나도 속히 가기를 주 안에서 확신하노라
  And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon.

25. 그러나 에바브로디도를 너희에게 보내는 것이 필요한 줄로 생각하노니 그는 나의 형제요 함께 수고하고 함께 군사 된 자요 너희 사자로 나의 쓸 것을 돕는 자라
  But I think it is necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger, whom you sent to take care of my needs.

26. 그가 너희 무리를 간절히 사모하고 자기 병든 것을 너희가 들은 줄을 알고 심히 근심한지라
  For he longs for all of you and is distressed because you heard he was ill.

27. 저가 병들어 죽게 되었으나 하나님이 저를 긍휼히 여기셨고 저뿐 아니라 또 나를 긍휼히 여기사 내 근심 위에 근심을 면하게 하셨느니라
  Indeed he was ill, and almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow.

28. 그러므로 내가 더욱 급히 저를 보낸 것은 너희로 저를 다시 보고 기뻐하게 하며 내 근심도 덜려 함이니
  Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you may be glad and I may have less anxiety.

29. 이러므로 너희가 주 안에서 모든 기쁨으로 저를 영접하고 또 이와 같은 자들을 존귀히 여기라
  Welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor men like him,

30. 저가 그리스도의 일을 위하여 죽기에 이르러도 자기 목숨을 돌아보지 아니한 것은 나를 섬기는 너희의 일에 부족함을 채우려 함이니라
  because he almost died for the work of Christ, risking his life to make up for the help you could not give me.
