출애굽기 26

1. 너는 성막을 만들되 앙장 열 폭을 가늘게 꼰 베실과 청색 자색 홍색실로 그룹을 공교히 수 놓아 만들찌니
  "Make the tabernacle with ten curtains of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, with cherubim worked into them by a skilled craftsman.

2. 매폭의 장은 이십팔 규빗, 광은 사 규빗으로 각 폭의 장단을 같게 하고
  All the curtains are to be the same size--twenty-eight cubits long and four cubits wide.

3. 그 앙장 다섯 폭을 서로 연하며 다른 다섯 폭도 서로 연하고
  Join five of the curtains together, and do the same with the other five.

4. 그 앙장의 연락할 말폭 가에 청색 고를 만들며 다른 연락할 말폭 가에도 그와 같이 하고
  Make loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in one set, and do the same with the end curtain in the other set.

5. 앙장 말폭 가에 고 오십을 달며 다른 앙장 말폭 가에도 고 오십을 달고 그 고들을 서로 대하게 하고
  Make fifty loops on one curtain and fifty loops on the end curtain of the other set, with the loops opposite each other.

6. 금 갈고리 오십을 만들고 그 갈고리로 앙장을 연합하여 한 성막을 이룰찌며
  Then make fifty gold clasps and use them to fasten the curtains together so that the tabernacle is a unit.

7. 그 성막을 덮는 막 곧 앙장을 염소털로 만들되 열한 폭을 만들찌며
  "Make curtains of goat hair for the tent over the tabernacle--eleven altogether.

8. 각 폭의 장은 삼십 규빗, 광은 사 규빗으로 열한 폭의 장단을 같게 하고
  All eleven curtains are to be the same size--thirty cubits long and four cubits wide.

9. 그 앙장 다섯 폭을 서로 연하며 또 여섯 폭을 서로 연하고 그 여섯째 폭 절반은 성막 전면에 접어 드리우고
  Join five of the curtains together into one set and the other six into another set. Fold the sixth curtain double at the front of the tent.

10. 앙장을 연락할 말폭 가에 고 오십을 달며 다른 연락할 말폭 가에도 고 오십을 달고
  Make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in one set and also along the edge of the end curtain in the other set.

11. 놋 갈고리 오십을 만들고 그 갈고리로 그 고를 꿰어 연합하여 한 막이 되게 하고
  Then make fifty bronze clasps and put them in the loops to fasten the tent together as a unit.

12. 그 막 곧 앙장의 나머지 그 반 폭은 성막 뒤에 드리우고
  As for the additional length of the tent curtains, the half curtain that is left over is to hang down at the rear of the tabernacle.

13. 막 곧 앙장의 길이의 남은 것은 이편에 한 규빗, 저편에 한 규빗씩 성막 좌우 양편에 덮어 드리우고
  The tent curtains will be a cubit longer on both sides; what is left will hang over the sides of the tabernacle so as to cover it.

14. 붉은 물 들인 수양의 가죽으로 막의 덮개를 만들고 해달의 가죽으로 그 웃덮개를 만들찌니라
  Make for the tent a covering of ram skins dyed red, and over that a covering of hides of sea cows.

15. 너는 조각목으로 성막을 위하여 널판을 만들어 세우되
  "Make upright frames of acacia wood for the tabernacle.

16. 각 판의 장은 십 규빗, 광은 일 규빗 반으로 하고
  Each frame is to be ten cubits long and a cubit and a half wide,

17. 각 판에 두 촉씩 내어 서로 연하게 하되 너는 성막 널판을 다 그와 같이 하라
  with two projections set parallel to each other. Make all the frames of the tabernacle in this way.

18. 너는 성막을 위하여 널판을 만들되 남편을 위하여 널판 스물을 만들고
  Make twenty frames for the south side of the tabernacle

19. 스무 널판 아래 은받침 마흔을 만들찌니 이 널판 아래에도 그 두 촉을 위하여 두 받침을 만들고 저 널판 아래에도 그 두 촉을 위하여 두 받침을 만들찌며
  and make forty silver bases to go under them--two bases for each frame, one under each projection.

20. 성막 다른 편 곧 그 북편을 위하여도 널판 스물로 하고
  For the other side, the north side of the tabernacle, make twenty frames

21. 은받침 마흔을 이 널판 아래에도 두 받침, 저 널판 아래에도 두 받침으로 하며
  and forty silver bases--two under each frame.

22. 성막 뒤 곧 그 서편을 위하여는 널판 여섯을 만들고
  Make six frames for the far end, that is, the west end of the tabernacle,

23. 성막 뒤 두 모퉁이 편을 위하여는 널판 둘을 만들되
  and make two frames for the corners at the far end.

24. 아래에서부터 위까지 각기 두 겹 두께로 하여 윗고리에 이르게 하고 두 모퉁이 편을 다 그리하며
  At these two corners they must be double from the bottom all the way to the top, and fitted into a single ring; both shall be like that.

25. 그 여덟 널판에는 은받침이 열여섯이니 이 판 아래에도 두 받침이요 저 판 아래에도 두 받침이니라
  So there will be eight frames and sixteen silver bases--two under each frame.

26. 너는 조각목으로 띠를 만들찌니 성막 이편 널판을 위하여 다섯이요
  "Also make crossbars of acacia wood: five for the frames on one side of the tabernacle,

27. 성막 저편 널판을 위하여 다섯이요 성막 뒤 곧 서편 널판을 위하여 다섯이며
  five for those on the other side, and five for the frames on the west, at the far end of the tabernacle.

28. 널판 가운데 있는 중간 띠는 이 끝에서 저 끝에 미치게 하고
  The center crossbar is to extend from end to end at the middle of the frames.

29. 그 널판들을 금으로 싸고 그 널판들의 띠를 꿸 금고리를 만들고 그 띠를 금으로 싸라
  Overlay the frames with gold and make gold rings to hold the crossbars. Also overlay the crossbars with gold.

30. 너는 산에서 보인 식양대로 성막을 세울찌니라
  "Set up the tabernacle according to the plan shown you on the mountain.

31. 너는 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 짜서 장을 만들고 그 위에 그룹들을 공교히 수놓아서
  "Make a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen, with cherubim worked into it by a skilled craftsman.

32. 금 갈고리로 네 기둥 위에 드리우되 그 네 기둥을 조각목으로 만들고 금으로 싸서 네 은받침 위에 둘찌며
  Hang it with gold hooks on four posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold and standing on four silver bases.

33. 그 장을 갈고리 아래 드리운 후에 증거궤를 그 장 안에 들여 놓으라 그 장이 너희를 위하여 성소와 지성소를 구별하리라
  Hang the curtain from the clasps and place the ark of the Testimony behind the curtain. The curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.

34. 너는 지성소에 있는 증거궤 위에 속죄소를 두고
  Put the atonement cover on the ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.

35. 그 장 바깥 북편에 상을 놓고 남편에 등대를 놓아 상과 대하게 할찌며
  Place the table outside the curtain on the north side of the tabernacle and put the lampstand opposite it on the south side.

36. 청색 자색 홍색실과 가늘게 꼰 베실로 수놓아 짜서 성막문을 위하여 장을 만들고
  "For the entrance to the tent make a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen--the work of an embroiderer.

37. 그 문장을 위하여 기둥 다섯을 조각목으로 만들어 금으로 싸고 그 갈고리도 금으로 만들찌며 또 그 기둥을 위하여 받침 다섯을 놋으로 부어 만들찌니라
  Make gold hooks for this curtain and five posts of acacia wood overlaid with gold. And cast five bronze bases for them.

요한복음 5

1. 그 후에 유대인의 명절이 있어 예수께서 예루살렘에 올라가시니라
  Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews.

2. 예루살렘에 있는 양문 곁에 히브리 말로 베데스다라 하는 못이 있는데 거기 행각 다섯이 있고
  Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.

3. 그 안에 많은 병자, 소경, 절뚝발이, 혈기 마른 자들이 누워 (물의 동함을 기다리니
  Here a great number of disabled people used to lie--the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.

4. 이는 천사가 가끔 못에 내려와 물을 동하게 하는데 동한 후에 먼저 들어가는 자는 어떤 병에걸렸든지 낫게 됨이러라)

5. 거기 삼십팔 년 된 병자가 있더라
  One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.

6. 예수께서 그 누운 것을 보시고 병이 벌써 오랜 줄 아시고 이르시되 네가 낫고자 하느냐
  When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"

7. 병자가 대답하되 주여 물이 동할 때에 나를 못에 넣어 줄 사람이 없어 내가 가는 동안에 다른 사람이 먼저 내려가나이다
  "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."

8. 예수께서 가라사대 일어나 네 자리를 들고 걸어가라 하시니
  Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk."

9. 그 사람이 곧 나아서 자리를 들고 걸어가니라 이 날은 안식일이니
  At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath,

10. 유대인들이 병 나은 사람에게 이르되 안식일인데 네가 자리를 들고 가는 것이 옳지 아니하니라
  and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat."

11. 대답하되 나를 낫게 한 그가 자리를 들고 걸어가라 하더라 한대
  But he replied, "The man who made me well said to me, 'Pick up your mat and walk.'"

12. 저희가 묻되 너더러 자리를 들고 걸어가라 한 사람이 누구냐 하되
  So they asked him, "Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?"

13. 고침을 받은 사람이 그가 누구신지 알지 못하니 이는 거기 사람이 많으므로 예수께서 이미 피하셨음이라
  The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

14. 그 후에 예수께서 성전에서 그 사람을 만나 이르시되 보라 네가 나았으니 더 심한 것이 생기지 않게 다시는 죄를 범치 말라 하시니
  Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."

15. 그 사람이 유대인들에게 가서 자기를 고친 이는 예수라 하니라
  The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

16. 그러므로 안식일에 이러한 일을 행하신다 하여 유대인들이 예수를 핍박하게 된지라
  So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him.

17. 예수께서 저희에게 이르시되 내 아버지께서 이제까지 일하시니 나도 일한다 하시매
  Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

18. 유대인들이 이를 인하여 더욱 예수를 죽이고자 하니 이는 안식일만 범할 뿐 아니라 하나님을 자기의 친아버지라 하여 자기를 하나님과 동등으로 삼으심이러라
  For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

19. 그러므로 예수께서 저희에게 이르시되 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 아들이 아버지의 하시는 일을 보지 않고는 아무것도 스스로 할 수 없나니 아버지께서 행하시는 그것을 아들도 그와 같이 행하느니라
  Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

20. 아버지께서 아들을 사랑하사 자기의 행하시는 것을 다 아들에게 보이시고 또 그보다 더 큰 일을 보이사 너희로 기이히 여기게 하시리라
  For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these.

21. 아버지께서 죽은 자들을 일으켜 살리심같이 아들도 자기의 원하는 자들을 살리느니라
  For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

22. 아버지께서 아무도 심판하지 아니하시고 심판을 다 아들에게 맡기셨으니
  Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,

23. 이는 모든 사람으로 아버지를 공경하는 것같이 아들을 공경하게 하려 하심이라 아들을 공경치 아니하는 자는 그를 보내신 아버지를 공경치 아니하느니라
  that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

24. 내가 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 내 말을 듣고 또 나 보내신 이를 믿는 자는 영생을 얻었고 심판에 이르지 아니하나니 사망에서 생명으로 옮겼느니라
  "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

25. 진실로 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 죽은 자들이 하나님의 아들의 음성을 들을 때가 오나니 곧 이 때라 듣는 자는 살아나리라
  I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.

26. 아버지께서 자기 속에 생명이 있음같이 아들에게도 생명을 주어 그 속에 있게 하셨고
  For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.

27. 또 인자됨을 인하여 심판하는 권세를 주셨느니라
  And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.

28. 이를 기이히 여기지 말라 무덤 속에 있는 자가 다 그의 음성을 들을 때가 오나니
  "Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice

29. 선한 일을 행한 자는 생명의 부활로, 악한 일을 행한 자는 심판의 부활로 나오리라
  and come out--those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.

30. 내가 아무것도 스스로 할 수 없노라 듣는 대로 심판하노니 나는 나의 원대로 하려 하지 않고 나를 보내신 이의 원대로 하려는 고로 내 심판은 의로우니라
  By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.

31. 내가 만일 나를 위하여 증거하면 내 증거는 참되지 아니하되
  "If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid.

32. 나를 위하여 증거하시는 이가 따로 있으니 나를 위하여 증거하시는 그 증거가 참인 줄 아노라
  There is another who testifies in my favor, and I know that his testimony about me is valid.

33. 너희가 요한에게 사람을 보내매 요한이 진리에 대하여 증거하였느니라
  "You have sent to John and he has testified to the truth.

34. 그러나 나는 사람에게서 증거를 취하지 아니하노라 다만 이 말을 하는 것은 너희로 구원을 얻게 하려 함이니라
  Not that I accept human testimony; but I mention it that you may be saved.

35. 요한은 켜서 비취는 등불이라 너희가 일시 그 빛에 즐거이 있기를 원하였거니와
  John was a lamp that burned and gave light, and you chose for a time to enjoy his light.

36. 내게는 요한의 증거보다 더 큰 증거가 있으니 아버지께서 내게 주사 이루게 하시는 역사 곧 나의 하는 그 역사가 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것을 나를 위하여 증거하는 것이요
  "I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me.

37. 또한 나를 보내신 아버지께서 친히 나를 위하여 증거하셨느니라 너희는 아무 때에도 그 음성을 듣지 못하였고 그 형용을 보지 못하였으며
  And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,

38. 그 말씀이 너희 속에 거하지 아니하니 이는 그의 보내신 자를 믿지 아니함이니라
  nor does his word dwell in you, for you do not believe the one he sent.

39. 너희가 성경에서 영생을 얻는 줄 생각하고 성경을 상고하거니와 이 성경이 곧 내게 대하여 증거하는 것이로다
  You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me,

40. 그러나 너희가 영생을 얻기 위하여 내게 오기를 원하지 아니하는도다
  yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

41. 나는 사람에게 영광을 취하지 아니하노라
  "I do not accept praise from men,

42. 다만 하나님을 사랑하는 것이 너희 속에 없음을 알았노라
  but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.

43. 나는 내 아버지의 이름으로 왔으매 너희가 영접지 아니하나 만일 다른 사람이 자기 이름으로 오면 영접하리라
  I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

44. 너희가 서로 영광을 취하고 유일하신 하나님께로부터 오는 영광은 구하지 아니하니 어찌 나를 믿을 수 있느냐
  How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?

45. 내가 너희를 아버지께 고소할까 생각지 말라 너희를 고소하는 이가 있으니 곧 너희의 바라는 자 모세니라
  "But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.

46. 모세를 믿었더면 또 나를 믿었으리니 이는 그가 내게 대하여 기록하였음이라
  If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.

47. 그러나 그의 글도 믿지 아니하거든 어찌 내 말을 믿겠느냐 하시니라
  But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?"

잠언 2

1. 내 아들아 네가 만일 나의 말을 받으며 나의 계명을 네게 간직하며
  My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you,

2. 네 귀를 지혜에 기울이며 네 마음을 명철에 두며
  turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding,

3. 지식을 불러 구하며 명철을 얻으려고 소리를 높이며
  and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding,

4. 은을 구하는 것같이 그것을 구하며 감추인 보배를 찾는 것같이 그것을 찾으면
  and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,

5. 여호와 경외하기를 깨달으며 하나님을 알게 되리니
  then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

6. 대저 여호와는 지혜를 주시며 지식과 명철을 그 입에서 내심이며
  For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

7. 그는 정직한 자를 위하여 완전한 지혜를 예비하시며 행실이 온전한 자에게 방패가 되시나니
  He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,

8. 대저 그는 공평의 길을 보호하시며 그 성도들의 길을 보전하려 하심이니라
  for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

9. 그런즉 네가 공의와 공평과 정직 곧 모든 선한 길을 깨달을 것이라
  Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path.

10. 곧 지혜가 네 마음에 들어가며 지식이 네 영혼에 즐겁게 될 것이요
  For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

11. 근신이 너를 지키며 명철이 너를 보호하여
  Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you.

12. 악한 자의 길과 패역을 말하는 자에게서 건져내리라
  Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse,

13. 이 무리는 정직한 길을 떠나 어두운 길로 행하며
  who leave the straight paths to walk in dark ways,

14. 행악하기를 기뻐하며 악인의 패역을 즐거워하나니
  who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil,

15. 그 길은 구부러지고 그 행위는 패역하니라
  whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.

16. 지혜가 또 너를 음녀에게서, 말로 호리는 이방 계집에게서 구원하리니
  It will save you also from the adulteress, from the wayward wife with her seductive words,

17. 그는 소시의 짝을 버리며 그 하나님의 언약을 잊어버린 자라
  who has left the partner of her youth and ignored the covenant she made before God.

18. 그 집은 사망으로, 그 길은 음부로 기울어졌나니
  For her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.

19. 누구든지 그에게로 가는 자는 돌아오지 못하며 또 생명길을 얻지 못하느니라
  None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.

20. 지혜가 너로 선한 자의 길로 행하게 하며 또 의인의 길을 지키게 하리니
  Thus you will walk in the ways of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous.

21. 대저 정직한 자는 땅에 거하며 완전한 자는 땅에 남아 있으리라
  For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it;

22. 그러나 악인은 땅에서 끊어지겠고 궤휼한 자는 땅에서 뽑히리라
  but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the unfaithful will be torn from it.

갈라디아서 1

1. 사람들에게서 난 것도 아니요 사람으로 말미암은 것도 아니요 오직 예수 그리스도와 및 죽은 자 가운데서 그리스도를 살리신 하나님 아버지로 말미암아 사도 된 바울은
  Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead--

2. 함께 있는 모든 형제로 더불어 갈라디아 여러 교회들에게
  and all the brothers with me, To the churches in Galatia:

3. 우리 하나님 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도로 좇아 은혜와 평강이 있기를 원하노라
  Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

4. 그리스도께서 하나님 곧 우리 아버지의 뜻을 따라 이 악한 세대에서 우리를 건지시려고 우리 죄를 위하여 자기 몸을 드리셨으니
  who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,

5. 영광이 저에게 세세토록 있을찌어다 아멘
  to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6. 그리스도의 은혜로 너희를 부르신 이를 이같이 속히 떠나 다른 복음 좇는 것을 내가 이상히 여기노라
  I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel--

7. 다른 복음은 없나니 다만 어떤 사람들이 너희를 요란케 하여 그리스도의 복음을 변하려 함이라
  which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.

8. 그러나 우리나 혹 하늘로부터 온 천사라도 우리가 너희에게 전한 복음 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을찌어다
  But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!

9. 우리가 전에 말하였거니와 내가 지금 다시 말하노니 만일 누구든지 너희의 받은 것 외에 다른 복음을 전하면 저주를 받을찌어다
  As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

10. 이제 내가 사람들에게 좋게 하랴 하나님께 좋게 하랴 사람들에게 기쁨을 구하랴 내가 지금까지 사람의 기쁨을 구하는 것이었더면 그리스도의 종이 아니니라
  Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

11. 형제들아 내가 너희에게 알게 하노니 내가 전한 복음이 사람의 뜻을 따라 된 것이 아니라
  I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up.

12. 이는 내가 사람에게서 받은 것도 아니요 배운 것도 아니요 오직 예수 그리스도의 계시로 말미암은 것이라
  I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.

13. 내가 이전에 유대교에 있을 때에 행한 일을 너희가 들었거니와 하나님의 교회를 심히 핍박하여 잔해하고
  For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.

14. 내가 내 동족 중 여러 연갑자보다 유대교를 지나치게 믿어 내 조상의 유전에 대하여 더욱 열심이 있었으나
  I was advancing in Judaism beyond many Jews of my own age and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

15. 그러나 내 어머니의 태로부터 나를 택정하시고 은혜로 나를 부르신 이가
  But when God, who set me apart from birth and called me by his grace, was pleased

16. 그 아들을 이방에 전하기 위하여 그를 내 속에 나타내시기를 기뻐하실 때에 내가 곧 혈육과 의논하지 아니하고
  to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man,

17. 또 나보다 먼저 사도 된 자들을 만나려고 예루살렘으로 가지 아니하고 오직 아라비아로 갔다가 다시 다메섹으로 돌아갔노라
  nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went immediately into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.

18. 그 후 삼년만에 내가 게바를 심방하려고 예루살렘에 올라가서 저와 함께 십 오일을 유할쌔
  Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Peter and stayed with him fifteen days.

19. 주의 형제 야고보 외에 다른 사도들을 보지 못하였노라
  I saw none of the other apostles--only James, the Lord's brother.

20. 보라 내가 너희에게 쓰는 것은 하나님 앞에서 거짓말이 아니로라
  I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.

21. 그 후에 내가 수리아와 길리기아 지방에 이르렀으나
  Later I went to Syria and Cilicia.

22. 유대에 그리스도 안에 있는 교회들이 나를 얼굴로 알지 못하고
  I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.

23. 다만 우리를 핍박하던 자가 전에 잔해하던 그 믿음을 지금 전한다 함을 듣고
  They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy."

24. 나로 말미암아 영광을 하나님께 돌리니라
  And they praised God because of me.
