출애굽기 12:29-51

29. 밤중에 여호와께서 애굽 땅에서 모든 처음 난 것 곧 위에 앉은 바로의 장자로부터 옥에 갇힌 사람의 장자까지와 생축의 처음 난 것을 다 치시매
  At midnight the LORD struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.

30. 그 밤에 바로와 그 모든 신하와 모든 애굽 사람이 일어나고 애굽에 큰 호곡이 있었으니 이는 그 나라에 사망치 아니한 집이 하나도 없었음이었더라
  Pharaoh and all his officials and all the Egyptians got up during the night, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead.

31. 밤에 바로가 모세와 아론을 불러서 이르되 너희와 이스라엘 자손은 일어나 내 백성 가운데서 떠나서 너희의 말대로 가서 여호와를 섬기며
  During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the LORD as you have requested.

32. 너희의 말대로 너희의 양도 소도 몰아가고 나를 위하여 축복하라 하며
  Take your flocks and herds, as you have said, and go. And also bless me."

33. 애굽 사람들은 말하기를 우리가 다 죽은 자가 되도다 하고 백성을 재촉하여 그 지경에서 속히 보내려 하므로
  The Egyptians urged the people to hurry and leave the country. "For otherwise," they said, "we will all die!"

34. 백성이 발교되지 못한 반죽 담은 그릇을 옷에 싸서 어깨에 메니라
  So the people took their dough before the yeast was added, and carried it on their shoulders in kneading troughs wrapped in clothing.

35. 이스라엘 자손이 모세의 말대로 하여 애굽 사람에게 은금 패물과 의복을 구하매
  The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing.

36. 여호와께서 애굽 사람으로 백성에게 은혜를 입히게 하사 그들의 구하는 대로 주게 하시므로 그들이 애굽 사람의 물품을 취하였더라
  The LORD had made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.

37. 이스라엘 자손이 라암셋에서 발행하여 숙곳에 이르니 유아 외에 보행하는 장정이 육십만 가량이요
  The Israelites journeyed from Rameses to Succoth. There were about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children.

38. 중다한 잡족과 양과 소와 심히 많은 생축이 그들과 함께 하였으며
  Many other people went up with them, as well as large droves of livestock, both flocks and herds.

39. 그들이 가지고 나온 발교되지 못한 반죽으로 무교병을 구웠으니 이는 그들이 애굽에서 쫓겨남으로 지체할 수 없었음이며 아무 양식도 준비하지 못하였음이었더라
  With the dough they had brought from Egypt, they baked cakes of unleavened bread. The dough was without yeast because they had been driven out of Egypt and did not have time to prepare food for themselves.

40. 이스라엘 자손이 애굽에 거주한 지 사백삼십 년이라
  Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years.

41. 사백삼십 년이 마치는 그 날에 여호와의 군대가 다 애굽 땅에서 나왔은즉
  At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the LORD'S divisions left Egypt.

42. 이 밤은 그들을 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내심을 인하여 여호와 앞에 지킬 것이니 이는 여호와의 밤이라 이스라엘 자손이 다 대대로 지킬 것이니라
  Because the LORD kept vigil that night to bring them out of Egypt, on this night all the Israelites are to keep vigil to honor the LORD for the generations to come.

43. 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 이르시되 유월절 규례가 이러하니라 이방 사람은 먹지 못할 것이나
  The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "These are the regulations for the Passover: "No foreigner is to eat of it.

44. 각 사람이 돈으로 산 종은 할례를 받은 후에 먹을 것이며
  Any slave you have bought may eat of it after you have circumcised him,

45. 거류인과 타국 품군은 먹지 못하리라
  but a temporary resident and a hired worker may not eat of it.

46. 한 집에서 먹되 그 고기를 조금도 집 밖으로 내지 말고 뼈도 꺾지 말찌며
  "It must be eaten inside one house; take none of the meat outside the house. Do not break any of the bones.

47. 이스라엘 회중이 다 이것을 지킬찌니라
  The whole community of Israel must celebrate it.

48. 너희와 함께 거하는 타국인이 여호와의 유월절을 지키고자 하거든 그 모든 남자는 할례를 받은 후에야 가까이하여 지킬찌니 곧 그는 본토인과 같이 될 것이나 할례 받지 못한 자는 먹지 못할 것이니라
  "An alien living among you who wants to celebrate the LORD'S Passover must have all the males in his household circumcised; then he may take part like one born in the land. No uncircumcised male may eat of it.

49. 본토인에게나 너희 중에 우거한 이방인에게나 이 법이 동일하니라 하셨으므로
  The same law applies to the native-born and to the alien living among you."

50. 온 이스라엘 자손이 이와 같이 행하되 여호와께서 모세와 아론에게 명하신 대로 행하였으며
  All the Israelites did just what the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron.

51. 그 같은 날에 여호와께서 이스라엘 자손을 그 군대대로 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내셨더라
  And on that very day the LORD brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.

누가복음 15

1. 모든 세리와 죄인들이 말씀을 들으러 가까이 나아오니
  Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him.

2. 바리새인과 서기관들이 원망하여 가로되 이 사람이 죄인을 영접하고 음식을 같이 먹는다 하더라
  But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them."

3. 예수께서 저희에게 이 비유로 이르시되
  Then Jesus told them this parable:

4. 너희 중에 어느 사람이 양 일백 마리가 있는데 그 중에 하나를 잃으면 아흔아홉 마리를 들에 두고 그 잃은 것을 찾도록 찾아다니지 아니하느냐
  "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?

5. 또 찾은즉 즐거워 어깨에 메고
  And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders

6. 집에 와서 그 벗과 이웃을 불러 모으고 말하되 나와 함께 즐기자 나의 잃은 양을 찾았노라 하리라
  and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.'

7. 내가 너희에게 이르노니 이와 같이 죄인 하나가 회개하면 하늘에서는 회개할 것 없는 의인 아흔아홉을 인하여 기뻐하는 것보다 더하리라
  I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

8. 어느 여자가 열 드라크마가 있는데 하나를 잃으면 등불을 켜고 집을 쓸며 찾도록 부지런히 찾지 아니하겠느냐
  "Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?

9. 또 찾은즉 벗과 이웃을 불러 모으고 말하되 나와 함께 즐기자 잃은 드라크마를 찾았노라 하리라
  And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.'

10. 내가 너희에게 이르노니 이와 같이 죄인 하나가 회개하면 하나님의 사자들 앞에 기쁨이 되느니라
  In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

11. 또 가라사대 어떤 사람이 두 아들이 있는데
  Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons.

12. 그 둘째가 아비에게 말하되 아버지여 재산 중에서 내게 돌아올 분깃을 내게 주소서 하는지라 아비가 그 살림을 각각 나눠 주었더니
  The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them.

13. 그 후 며칠이 못되어 둘째 아들이 재물을 다 모아가지고 먼 나라에 가 거기서 허랑방탕하여 그 재산을 허비하더니
  "Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living.

14. 다 없이한 후 그 나라에 크게 흉년이 들어 저가 비로소 궁핍한지라
  After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need.

15. 가서 그 나라 백성 중 하나에게 붙여 사니 그가 저를 들로 보내어 돼지를 치게 하였는데
  So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs.

16. 저가 돼지 먹는 쥐엄 열매로 배를 채우고자 하되 주는 자가 없는지라
  He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything.

17. 이에 스스로 돌이켜 가로되 내 아버지에게는 양식이 풍족한 품군이 얼마나 많은고 나는 여기서 주려 죽는구나
  "When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death!

18. 내가 일어나 아버지께 가서 이르기를 아버지여 내가 하늘과 아버지께 죄를 얻었사오니
  I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.

19. 지금부터는 아버지의 아들이라 일컬음을 감당치 못하겠나이다 나를 품군의 하나로 보소서 하리라 하고
  I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.'

20. 이에 일어나서 아버지께로 돌아가니라 아직도 상거가 먼데 아버지가 저를 보고 측은히 여겨 달려가 목을 안고 입을 맞추니
  So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

21. 아들이 가로되 아버지여 내가 하늘과 아버지께 죄를 얻었사오니 지금부터는 아버지의 아들이라 일컬음을 감당치 못하겠나이다 하나
  "The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

22. 아버지는 종들에게 이르되 제일 좋은 옷을 내어다가 입히고 손에 가락지를 끼우고 발에 신을 신기라
  "But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.

23. 그리고 살진 송아지를 끌어다가 잡으라 우리가 먹고 즐기자
  Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate.

24. 이 내 아들은 죽었다가 다시 살아났으며 내가 잃었다가 다시 얻었노라 하니 저희가 즐거워하더라
  For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.

25. 맏아들은 밭에 있다가 돌아와 집에 가까왔을 때에 풍류와 춤추는 소리를 듣고
  "Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.

26. 한 종을 불러 이 무슨 일인가 물은대
  So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on.

27. 대답하되 당신의 동생이 돌아왔으매 당신의 아버지가 그의 건강한 몸을 다시 맞아들이게 됨을 인하여 살진 송아지를 잡았나이다 하니
  'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.'

28. 저가 노하여 들어가기를 즐겨 아니하거늘 아버지가 나와서 권한대
  "The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him.

29. 아버지께 대답하여 가로되 내가 여러 해 아버지를 섬겨 명을 어김이 없거늘 내게는 염소 새끼라도 주어 나와 내 벗으로 즐기게 하신 일이 없더니
  But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.

30. 아버지의 살림을 창기와 함께 먹어 버린 이 아들이 돌아오매 이를 위하여 살진 송아지를 잡으셨나이다
  But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'

31. 아버지가 이르되 얘 너는 항상 나와 함께 있으니 내 것이 다 네 것이로되
  "'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

32. 이 네 동생은 죽었다가 살았으며 내가 잃었다가 얻었기로 우리가 즐거워하고 기뻐하는 것이 마땅하다 하니라
  But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'"

■ 혼자 읽기

욥기 30

1. 그러나 이제는 나보다 젊은 자들이 나를 기롱하는구나 그들의 아비들은 나의 보기에 나의 양 떼 지키는 개 중에도 둘 만하지 못한 자니라
  "But now they mock me, men younger than I, whose fathers I would have disdained to put with my sheep dogs.

2. 그들은 장년의 기력이 쇠한 자니 그 손의 힘이 내게 무엇이 유익하랴
  Of what use was the strength of their hands to me, since their vigor had gone from them?

3. 그들은 곧 궁핍과 기근으로 파리하매 캄캄하고 거친 들에서 마른 흙을 씹으며
  Haggard from want and hunger, they roamed the parched land in desolate wastelands at night.

4. 떨기나무 가운데서 짠 나물도 꺾으며 대싸리 뿌리로 식물을 삼느니라
  In the brush they gathered salt herbs, and their food was the root of the broom tree.

5. 무리는 도적을 외침같이 그들에게 소리지름으로 그들은 사람 가운데서 쫓겨나서
  They were banished from their fellow men, shouted at as if they were thieves.

6. 침침한 골짜기와 흙 구덩이와 바위 구멍에서 살며
  They were forced to live in the dry stream beds, among the rocks and in holes in the ground.

7. 떨기나무 가운데서 나귀처럼 부르짖으며 가시나무 아래 모여 있느니라
  They brayed among the bushes and huddled in the undergrowth.

8. 그들은 본래 미련한 자의 자식이요 비천한 자의 자식으로서 고토에서 쫓겨난 자니라
  A base and nameless brood, they were driven out of the land.

9. 이제는 내가 그들의 노래가 되며 그들의 조롱거리가 되었고
  "And now their sons mock me in song; I have become a byword among them.

10. 그들은 나를 미워하여 멀리하고 내 얼굴에 침 뱉기를 주저하지 아니하나니
  They detest me and keep their distance; they do not hesitate to spit in my face.

11. 이는 하나님이 내 줄을 늘어지게 하시고 나를 곤고케 하시매 무리가 내 앞에서 굴레를 벗었음이니라
  Now that God has unstrung my bow and afflicted me, they throw off restraint in my presence.

12. 그 낮은 무리가 내 우편에서 일어나 내 발을 밀뜨리고 나를 대적하여 멸망시킬 길을 쌓으며
  On my right the tribe attacks; they lay snares for my feet, they build their siege ramps against me.

13. 도울 자 없는 그들이 내 길을 헐고 내 재앙을 재촉하는구나
  They break up my road; they succeed in destroying me--without anyone's helping them.

14. 성을 크게 파괴하고 그 파괴한 가운데로 몰려 들어오는 것같이 그들이 내게로 달려드니
  They advance as through a gaping breach; amid the ruins they come rolling in.

15. 놀람이 내게 임하는구나 그들이 내 영광을 바람같이 모니 내 복록이 구름같이 지나갔구나
  Terrors overwhelm me; my dignity is driven away as by the wind, my safety vanishes like a cloud.

16. 이제는 내 마음이 내 속에서 녹으니 환난 날이 나를 잡음이라
  "And now my life ebbs away; days of suffering grip me.

17. 밤이 되면 내 뼈가 쑤시니 나의 몸에 아픔이 쉬지 아니하는구나
  Night pierces my bones; my gnawing pains never rest.

18. 하나님의 큰 능력으로 하여 옷이 추하여져서 옷깃처럼 내 몸에 붙었구나
  In his great power God becomes like clothing to me; he binds me like the neck of my garment.

19. 하나님이 나를 진흙 가운데 던지셨고 나로 티끌과 재 같게 하셨구나
  He throws me into the mud, and I am reduced to dust and ashes.

20. 내가 주께 부르짖으오나 주께서 대답지 아니하시오며 내가 섰사오나 주께서 굽어보시기만 하시나이다
  "I cry out to you, O God, but you do not answer; I stand up, but you merely look at me.

21. 주께서 돌이켜 내게 잔혹히 하시고 완력으로 나를 핍박하시오며
  You turn on me ruthlessly; with the might of your hand you attack me.

22. 나를 바람 위에 들어 얹어 불려 가게 하시며 대풍 중에 소멸케 하시나이다
  You snatch me up and drive me before the wind; you toss me about in the storm.

23. 내가 아나이다 주께서 나를 죽게 하사 모든 생물을 위하여 정한 집으로 끌어가시리이다
  I know you will bring me down to death, to the place appointed for all the living.

24. 그러나 사람이 넘어질 때에 어찌 손을 펴지 아니하며 재앙을 당할 때에 어찌 도움을 부르짖지 아니하겠는가
  "Surely no one lays a hand on a broken man when he cries for help in his distress.

25. 고생의 날 보내는 자를 위하여 내가 울지 아니하였는가 빈궁한 자를 위하여 내 마음에 근심하지 아니하였는가
  Have I not wept for those in trouble? Has not my soul grieved for the poor?

26. 내가 복을 바랐더니 화가 왔고 광명을 기다렸더니 흑암이 왔구나
  Yet when I hoped for good, evil came; when I looked for light, then came darkness.

27. 내 마음이 어지러워서 쉬지 못하는구나 환난 날이 내게 임하였구나
  The churning inside me never stops; days of suffering confront me.

28. 나는 햇볕에 쬐지 않고 검어진 살을 가지고 걸으며 공회중에 서서 도움을 부르짖고 있느니라
  I go about blackened, but not by the sun; I stand up in the assembly and cry for help.

29. 나는 이리의 형제요 타조의 벗이로구나
  I have become a brother of jackals, a companion of owls.

30. 내 가죽은 검어져서 떨어졌고 내 뼈는 열기로하여 탔구나
  My skin grows black and peels; my body burns with fever.

31. 내 수금은 애곡성이 되고 내 피리는 애통성이 되었구나
  My harp is tuned to mourning, and my flute to the sound of wailing.

고린도전서 16

1. 성도를 위하는 연보에 대하여는 내가 갈라디아 교회들에게 명한 것같이 너희도 그렇게 하라
  Now about the collection for God's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do.

2. 매주일 첫날에 너희 각 사람이 이를 얻은 대로 저축하여 두어서 내가 갈 때에 연보를 하지 않게 하라
  On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

3. 내가 이를 때에 너희의 인정한 사람에게 편지를 주어 너희의 은혜를 예루살렘으로 가지고 가게 하리니
  Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.

4. 만일 나도 가는 것이 합당하면 저희가 나와 함께 가리라
  If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.

5. 내가 마게도냐를 지날 터이니 마게도냐를 지난 후에 너희에게 나아가서
  After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you--for I will be going through Macedonia.

6. 혹 너희와 함께 머물며 과동할 듯도 하니 이는 너희가 나를 나의 갈 곳으로 보내어 주게 하려 함이라
  Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go.

7. 이제는 지나는 길에 너희 보기를 원치 아니하노니 이는 주께서 만일 허락하시면 얼마 동안 너희와 함께 유하기를 바람이라
  I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits.

8. 내가 오순절까지 에베소에 유하려 함은
  But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost,

9. 내게 광대하고 공효를 이루는 문이 열리고 대적하는 자가 많음이니라
  because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.

10. 디모데가 이르거든 너희는 조심하여 저로 두려움이 없이 너희 가운데 있게 하라 이는 저도 나와 같이 주의 일을 힘쓰는 자임이니라
  If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am.

11. 그러므로 누구든지 저를 멸시하지 말고 평안히 보내어 내게로 오게 하라 나는 저가 형제들과 함께 오기를 기다리노라
  No one, then, should refuse to accept him. Send him on his way in peace so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers.

12. 형제 아볼로에 대하여는 저더러 형제들과 함께 너희에게 가라고 내가 많이 권하되 지금은 갈 뜻이 일절 없으나 기회가 있으면 가리라
  Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.

13. 깨어 믿음에 굳게 서서 남자답게 강건하여라
  Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.

14. 너희 모든 일을 사랑으로 행하라
  Do everything in love.

15. 형제들아 스데바나의 집은 곧 아가야의 첫 열매요 또 성도 섬기기로 작정한 줄을 너희가 아는지라 내가 너희를 권하노니
  You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. I urge you, brothers,

16. 이같은 자들과 또 함께 일하며 수고하는 모든 자에게 복종하라
  to submit to such as these and to everyone who joins in the work, and labors at it.

17. 내가 스데바나와 브드나도와 아가이고의 온 것을 기뻐하노니 저희가 너희의 부족한 것을 보충하였음이니라
  I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you.

18. 저희가 나와 너희 마음을 시원케 하였으니 그러므로 너희는 이런 자들을 알아 주라
  For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition.

19. 아시아의 교회들이 너희에게 문안하고 아굴라와 브리스가와 및 그 집에 있는 교회가 주 안에서 너희에게 간절히 문안하고
  The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.

20. 모든 형제도 너희에게 문안하니 너희는 거룩하게 입맞춤으로 서로 문안하라
  All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

21. 나 바울은 친필로 너희에게 문안하노니
  I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.

22. 만일 누구든지 주를 사랑하지 아니하거든 저주를 받을찌어다 주께서 임하시느니라
  If anyone does not love the Lord--a curse be on him. Come, O Lord!

23. 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 너희와 함께 하고
  The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

24. 나의 사랑이 그리스도 예수의 안에서 너희 무리와 함께 할찌어다
  My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.
