출애굽기 8

1. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 너는 바로에게 가서 그에게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 내 백성을 보내라 그들이 나를 섬길 것이니라
  Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him, 'This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

2. 네가 만일 보내기를 거절하면 내가 개구리로 너의 온 지경을 칠찌라
  If you refuse to let them go, I will plague your whole country with frogs.

3. 개구리가 하수에서 무수히 생기고 올라와서 네 궁에와 네 침실에와 네 침상 위에와 네 신하의 집에와 네 백성에게와 네 화덕에와 네 떡반죽 그릇에 들어갈찌며
  The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs.

4. 개구리가 네게와 네 백성에게와 네 모든 신하에게 오르리라 하셨다 하라
  The frogs will go up on you and your people and all your officials.'"

5. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 아론에게 명하기를 네 지팡이를 잡고 네 팔을 강들과 운하들과 못 위에 펴서 개구리로 애굽 땅에 올라오게 하라 할찌니라
  Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your staff over the streams and canals and ponds, and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.'"

6. 아론이 팔을 애굽 물들 위에 펴매 개구리가 올라와서 애굽 땅에 덮이니
  So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land.

7. 술객들도 자기 술법대로 이와 같이 행하여 개구리로 애굽 땅에 올라오게 하였더라
  But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts; they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt.

8. 바로가 모세와 아론을 불러 이르되 여호와께 구하여 개구리를 나와 내 백성에게서 떠나게 하라 내가 이 백성을 보내리니 그들이 여호와께 희생을 드릴 것이니라
  Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Pray to the LORD to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD."

9. 모세가 바로에게 이르되 내가 왕과 왕의 신하와 왕의 백성을 위하여 어느 때에 구하여 이 개구리를 왕과 왕궁에서 끊어서 하수에만 있게 하오리이까 내게 보이소서
  Moses said to Pharaoh, "I leave to you the honor of setting the time for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile."

10. 그가 가로되 내일이니라 모세가 가로되 왕의 말씀대로 하여 왕으로 우리 하나님 여호와와 같은 이가 없는 줄을 알게 하리니
  "Tomorrow," Pharaoh said. Moses replied, "It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the LORD our God.

11. 개구리가 왕과 왕궁과 왕의 신하와 왕의 백성을 떠나서 하수에만 있으리이다 하고
  The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile."

12. 모세와 아론이 바로를 떠나 나가서 바로에게 내리신 개구리에 대하여 모세가 여호와께 간구하매
  After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the LORD about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh.

13. 여호와께서 모세의 말대로 하시니 개구리가 집에서, 마당에서, 밭에서 나와서 죽은지라
  And the LORD did what Moses asked. The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields.

14. 사람들이 모아 무더기로 쌓으니 땅에서 악취가 나더라
  They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them.

15. 그러나 바로가 숨을 통할 수 있음을 볼 때에 그 마음을 완강케 하여 그들을 듣지 아니하였으니 여호와의 말씀과 같더라
  But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said.

16. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 아론에게 명하기를 네 지팡이를 들어 땅의 티끌을 치라 하라 그것이 애굽 온 땅에서 이가 되리라
  Then the LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the ground,' and throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats."

17. 그들이 그대로 행할쌔 아론이 지팡이를 잡고 손을 들어 땅의 티끌을 치매 애굽 온 땅의 티끌이 다 이가 되어 사람과 생축에게 오르니
  They did this, and when Aaron stretched out his hand with the staff and struck the dust of the ground, gnats came upon men and animals. All the dust throughout the land of Egypt became gnats.

18. 술객들이 자기 술법으로 이같이 행하여 이를 내려 하였으나 못하였고 이는 사람과 생축에게 있은지라
  But when the magicians tried to produce gnats by their secret arts, they could not. And the gnats were on men and animals.

19. 술객이 바로에게 고하되 이는 하나님의 권능이니이다 하나 바로의 마음이 강퍅케 되어 그들을 듣지 아니하였으니 여호와의 말씀과 같더라
  The magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is the finger of God." But Pharaoh's heart was hard and he would not listen, just as the LORD had said.

20. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 아침에 일찌기 일어나 바로 앞에 서라 그가 물로 나오리니 그에게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀에 내 백성을 보내라 그들이 나를 섬길 것이니라
  Then the LORD said to Moses, "Get up early in the morning and confront Pharaoh as he goes to the water and say to him, 'This is what the LORD says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

21. 네가 만일 내 백성을 보내지 아니하면 내가 너와 네 신하와 네 백성과 네 집들에 파리 떼를 보내리니 애굽 사람의 집집에 파리 떼가 가득할 것이며 그들의 거하는 땅에도 그러하리라
  If you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies on you and your officials, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies, and even the ground where they are.

22. 그 날에 내가 내 백성의 거하는 고센 땅을 구별하여 그 곳에는 파리 떼가 없게 하리니 이로 말미암아 나는 세상 중의 여호와인 줄을 네가 알게 될 것이라
  "'But on that day I will deal differently with the land of Goshen, where my people live; no swarms of flies will be there, so that you will know that I, the LORD, am in this land.

23. 내가 내 백성과 네 백성 사이에 구별을 두리니 내일 이 표징이 있으리라 하셨다 하라 하시고
  I will make a distinction between my people and your people. This miraculous sign will occur tomorrow.'"

24. 여호와께서 그와 같이 하시니 무수한 파리 떼가 바로의 궁에와 그 신하의 집에와 애굽 전국에 이르니 파리 떼로 인하여 땅이 해를 받더라
  And the LORD did this. Dense swarms of flies poured into Pharaoh's palace and into the houses of his officials, and throughout Egypt the land was ruined by the flies.

25. 바로가 모세와 아론을 불러 이르되 너희는 가서 이 땅에서 너희 하나님께 희생을 드리라
  Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, "Go, sacrifice to your God here in the land."

26. 모세가 가로되 그리함은 불가하니이다 우리가 우리 하나님 여호와께 희생을 드리는 것은 애굽 사람의 미워하는 바이온즉 우리가 만일 애굽 사람의 목전에서 희생을 드리면 그들이 그것을 미워하여 우리를 돌로 치지 아니하리이까
  But Moses said, "That would not be right. The sacrifices we offer the LORD our God would be detestable to the Egyptians. And if we offer sacrifices that are detestable in their eyes, will they not stone us?

27. 우리가 사흘 길쯤 광야로 들어가서 우리 하나님 여호와께 희생을 드리되 우리에게 명하시는 대로 하려 하나이다
  We must take a three-day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God, as he commands us."

28. 바로가 가로되 내가 너희를 보내리니 너희가 너희 하나님 여호와께 광야에서 희생을 드릴 것이나 너무 멀리는 가지 말라 그런즉 너희는 나를 위하여 기도하라
  Pharaoh said, "I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the LORD your God in the desert, but you must not go very far. Now pray for me."

29. 모세가 가로되 내가 왕을 떠나가서 여호와께 기도하리니 내일이면 파리 떼가 바로와 바로의 신하와 바로의 백성을 떠나려니와 바로는 이 백성을 보내어 여호와께 희생을 드리는 일에 다시 거짓을 행치 마소서 하고
  Moses answered, "As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the LORD, and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and his people. Only be sure that Pharaoh does not act deceitfully again by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the LORD."

30. 모세가 바로를 떠나 나와서 여호와께 기도하니
  Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the LORD,

31. 여호와께서 모세의 말대로 하사 파리를 바로와 그 신하와 그 백성에게서 몰수히 떠나게 하시니라
  and the LORD did what Moses asked: The flies left Pharaoh and his officials and his people; not a fly remained.

32. 그러나 바로가 이 때에도 마음을 완강케 하여 백성을 보내지 아니하였더라
  But this time also Pharaoh hardened his heart and would not let the people go.

누가복음 11

1. 예수께서 한 곳에서 기도하시고 마치시매 제자 중 하나가 여짜오되 주여 요한이 자기 제자들에게 기도를 가르친 것과 같이 우리에게도 가르쳐 주옵소서
  One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."

2. 예수께서 이르시되 너희는 기도할 때에 이렇게 하라 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며 나라이 임하옵시며
  He said to them, "When you pray, say: "'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.

3. 우리에게 날마다 일용할 양식을 주옵시고
  Give us each day our daily bread.

4. 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 모든 사람을 용서하오니 우리 죄도 사하여 주옵시고 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마옵소서 하라
  Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.'"

5. 또 이르시되 너희 중에 누가 벗이 있는데 밤중에 그에게 가서 말하기를 벗이여 떡 세 덩이를 내게 빌리라
  Then he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,

6. 내 벗이 여행 중에 내게 왔으나 내가 먹일 것이 없노라 하면
  because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.'

7. 저가 안에서 대답하여 이르되 나를 괴롭게 하지 말라 문이 이미 닫혔고 아이들이 나와 함께 침소에 누웠으니 일어나 네게 줄 수가 없노라 하겠느냐
  "Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.'

8. 내가 너희에게 말하노니 비록 벗됨을 인하여서는 일어나 주지 아니할찌라도 그 강청함을 인하여 일어나 그 소용대로 주리라
  I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

9. 내가 또 너희에게 이르노니 구하라 그러면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그러면 찾을 것이요 문을 두드리라 그러면 너희에게 열릴 것이니
  "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

10. 구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이가 찾을 것이요 두드리는 이에게 열릴 것이니라
  For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

11. 너희 중에 아비 된 자 누가 아들이 생선을 달라 하면 생선 대신에 뱀을 주며
  "Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?

12. 알을 달라 하면 전갈을 주겠느냐
  Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?

13. 너희가 악할찌라도 좋은 것을 자식에게 줄줄 알거든 하물며 너희 천부께서 구하는 자에게 성령을 주시지 않겠느냐 하시니라
  If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

14. 예수께서 한 벙어리 귀신을 쫓아내시니 귀신이 나가매 벙어리가 말하는지라 무리들이 기이히 여겼으나
  Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed.

15. 그 중에 더러는 말하기를 저가 귀신의 왕 바알세불을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아낸다 하고
  But some of them said, "By Beelzebub, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons."

16. 또 더러는 예수를 시험하여 하늘로서 오는 표적을 구하니
  Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven.

17. 예수께서 저희 생각을 아시고 이르시되 스스로 분쟁하는 나라마다 황폐하여지며 스스로 분쟁하는 집은 무너지느니라
  Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.

18. 너희 말이 내가 바알세불을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아낸다 하니 만일 사단이 스스로 분쟁하면 저의 나라가 어떻게 서겠느냐
  If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? I say this because you claim that I drive out demons by Beelzebub.

19. 내가 바알세불을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아내면 너희 아들들은 누구를 힘입어 쫓아내느냐 그러므로 저희가 너희 재판관이 되리라
  Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.

20. 그러나 내가 만일 하나님의 손을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아내는 것이면 하나님의 나라가 이미 너희에게 임하였느니라
  But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

21. 강한 자가 무장을 하고 자기 집을 지킬 때에는 그 소유가 안전하되
  "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe.

22. 더 강한 자가 와서 저를 이길 때에는 저의 믿던 무장을 빼앗고 저의 재물을 나누느니라
  But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils.

23. 나와 함께 아니하는 자는 나를 반대하는 자요 나와 함께 모으지 아니하는 자는 헤치는 자니라
  "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.

24. 더러운 귀신이 사람에게서 나갔을 때에 물 없는 곳으로 다니며 쉬기를 구하되 얻지 못하고 이에 가로되 내가 나온 내 집으로 돌아가리라 하고
  "When an evil spirit comes out of a man, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to the house I left.'

25. 와 보니 그 집이 소제되고 수리되었거늘
  When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.

26. 이에 가서 저보다 더 악한 귀신 일곱을 데리고 들어가서 거하니 그 사람의 나중 형편이 전보다 더 심하게 되느니라
  Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that man is worse than the first."

27. 이 말씀 하실 때에 무리 중에서 한 여자가 음성을 높여 가로되 당신을 밴 태와 당신을 먹인 젖이 복이 있도소이다 하니
  As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you."

28. 예수께서 가라사대 오히려 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 지키는 자가 복이 있느니라 하시니라
  He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."

29. 무리가 모였을 때에 예수께서 말씀하시되 이 세대는 악한 세대라 표적을 구하되 요나의 표적밖에는 보일 표적이 없나니
  As the crowds increased, Jesus said, "This is a wicked generation. It asks for a miraculous sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.

30. 요나가 니느웨 사람들에게 표적이 됨과 같이 인자도 이 세대에 그러하리라
  For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation.

31. 심판 때에 남방 여왕이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그가 솔로몬의 지혜로운 말을 들으려고 땅 끝에서 왔음이어니와 솔로몬보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있으며
  The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon's wisdom, and now one greater than Solomon is here.

32. 심판 때에 니느웨 사람들이 일어나 이 세대 사람을 정죄하리니 이는 그들이 요나의 전도를 듣고 회개하였음이어니와 요나보다 더 큰 이가 여기 있느니라
  The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now one greater than Jonah is here.

33. 누구든지 등불을 켜서 움 속에나 말 아래 두지 아니하고 등경 위에 두나니 이는 들어가는 자로 그 빛을 보게 하려 함이니라
  "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.

34. 네 몸의 등불은 눈이라 네 눈이 성하면 온 몸이 밝을 것이요 만일 나쁘면 네 몸도 어두우리라
  Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.

35. 그러므로 네 속에 있는 빛이 어둡지 아니한가 보라
  See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

36. 네 온 몸이 밝아 조금도 어두운 데가 없으면 등불의 광선이 너를 비출 때와 같이 온전히 밝으리라 하시니라
  Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you."

37. 예수께서 말씀하실 때에 한 바리새인이 자기와 함께 점심 잡수시기를 청하므로 들어가 앉으셨더니
  When Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table.

38. 잡수시기 전에 손 씻지 아니하심을 이 바리새인이 보고 이상히 여기는지라
  But the Pharisee, noticing that Jesus did not first wash before the meal, was surprised.

39. 주께서 이르시되 너희 바리새인은 지금 잔과 대접의 겉은 깨끗이 하나 너희 속인즉 탐욕과 악독이 가득하도다
  Then the Lord said to him, "Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.

40. 어리석은 자들아 밖을 만드신 이가 속도 만들지 아니하셨느냐
  You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?

41. 오직 그 안에 있는 것으로 구제하라 그리하면 모든 것이 너희에게 깨끗하리라
  But give what is inside the dish to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

42. 화 있을찐저 너희 바리새인이여 너희가 박하와 운향과 모든 채소의 십일조를 드리되 공의와 하나님께 대한 사랑은 버리는도다 그러나 이것도 행하고 저것도 버리지 아니하여야 할찌니라
  "Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

43. 화 있을찐저 너희 바리새인이여 너희가 회당의 높은 자리와 시장에서 문안 받는 것을 기뻐하는도다
  "Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.

44. 화 있을찐저 너희여 너희는 평토장한 무덤 같아서 그 위를 밟는 사람이 알지 못하느니라
  "Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without knowing it."

45. 한 율법사가 예수께 대답하여 가로되 선생님 이렇게 말씀하시니 우리까지 모욕하심이니이다
  One of the experts in the law answered him, "Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also."

46. 가라사대 화 있을찐저 또 너희 율법사여 지기 어려운 짐을 사람에게 지우고 너희는 한 손가락도 이 짐에 대지 않는도다
  Jesus replied, "And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.

47. 화 있을찐저 너희는 선지자들의 무덤을 쌓는도다 저희를 죽인 자도 너희 조상들이로다
  "Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your forefathers who killed them.

48. 이와 같이 저희는 죽이고 너희는 쌓으니 너희가 너희 조상의 행한 일에 증인이 되어 옳게 여기는도다
  So you testify that you approve of what your forefathers did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.

49. 이러므로 하나님의 지혜가 일렀으되 내가 선지자와 사도들을 저희에게 보내리니 그 중에 더러는 죽이며 또 핍박하리라 하였으니
  Because of this, God in his wisdom said, 'I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.'

50. 창세 이후로 흘린 모든 선지자의 피를 이 세대가 담당하되
  Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,

51. 곧 아벨의 피로부터 제단과 성전 사이에서 죽임을 당한 사가랴의 피까지 하리라 내가 너희에게 이르노니 과연 이 세대가 담당하리라
  from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.

52. 화 있을찐저 너희 율법사여 너희가 지식의 열쇠를 가져가고 너희도 들어가지 않고 또 들어가고자 하는 자도 막았느니라 하시니라
  "Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering."

53. 거기서 나오실 때에 서기관과 바리새인들이 맹렬히 달라붙어 여러 가지 일로 힐문하고
  When Jesus left there, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose him fiercely and to besiege him with questions,

54. 그 입에서 나오는 것을 잡고자 하여 목을 지키더라
  waiting to catch him in something he might say.

■ 혼자 읽기

욥기 25-26

1. 수아 사람 빌닷이 대답하여 가로되
  Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:

2. 하나님은 권능과 위엄을 가지셨고 지극히 높은 곳에서 화평을 베푸시느니라
  "Dominion and awe belong to God; he establishes order in the heights of heaven.

3. 그 군대를 어찌 계수할 수 있으랴 그 광명의 비췸을 입지 않은 자가 누구냐
  Can his forces be numbered? Upon whom does his light not rise?

4. 그런즉 하나님 앞에서 사람이 어찌 의롭다 하며 부녀에게서 난 자가 어찌 깨끗하다 하랴
  How then can a man be righteous before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

5. 하나님의 눈에는 달이라도 명랑치 못하고 별도 깨끗지 못하거든
  If even the moon is not bright and the stars are not pure in his eyes,

6. 하물며 벌레인 사람, 구더기인 인생이랴
  how much less man, who is but a maggot--a son of man, who is only a worm!"

1. 욥이 대답하여 가로되
  Then Job replied:

2. 네가 힘없는 자를 참 잘 도왔구나 기력 없는 팔을 참 잘 구원하였구나
  "How you have helped the powerless! How you have saved the arm that is feeble!

3. 지혜 없는 자를 참 잘 가르쳤구나 큰 지식을 참 잘 나타내었구나
  What advice you have offered to one without wisdom! And what great insight you have displayed!

4. 네가 누구를 향하여 말을 내었느냐 뉘 신이 네게서 나왔느냐
  Who has helped you utter these words? And whose spirit spoke from your mouth?

5. 음령들이 큰 물과 수족 밑에서 떠나니
  "The dead are in deep anguish, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

6. 하나님 앞에는 음부도 드러나며 멸망의 웅덩이도 가리움이 없음이니라
  Death is naked before God; Destruction lies uncovered.

7. 그는 북편 하늘을 허공에 펴시며 땅을 공간에 다시며
  He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.

8. 물을 빽빽한 구름에 싸시나 그 밑의 구름이 찢어지지 아니하느니라
  He wraps up the waters in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.

9. 그는 자기의 보좌 앞을 가리우시고 자기 구름으로 그 위에 펴시며
  He covers the face of the full moon, spreading his clouds over it.

10. 수면에 경계를 그으셨으되 빛과 어두움의 지경까지 한정을 세우셨느니라
  He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters for a boundary between light and darkness.

11. 그가 꾸짖으신즉 하늘 기둥이 떨며 놀라느니라
  The pillars of the heavens quake, aghast at his rebuke.

12. 그는 권능으로 바다를 흉용케 하시며 지혜로 라합을 쳐서 파하시며
  By his power he churned up the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab to pieces.

13. 그 신으로 하늘을 단장하시고 손으로 날랜 뱀을 찌르시나니
  By his breath the skies became fair; his hand pierced the gliding serpent.

14. 이런 것은 그 행사의 시작점이요 우리가 그에게 대하여 들은 것도 심히 세미한 소리뿐이니라 그 큰 능력의 우뢰야 누가 능히 측량하랴
  And these are but the outer fringe of his works; how faint the whisper we hear of him! Who then can understand the thunder of his power?"

고린도전서 12

1. 형제들아 신령한 것에 대하여는 내가 너희의 알지 못하기를 원치 아니하노니
  Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant.

2. 너희도 알거니와 너희가 이방인으로 있을 때에 말 못하는 우상에게로 끄는 그대로 끌려갔느니라
  You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.

3. 그러므로 내가 너희에게 알게 하노니 하나님의 영으로 말하는 자는 누구든지 예수를 저주할 자라 하지 않고 또 성령으로 아니하고는 누구든지 예수를 주시라 할 수 없느니라
  Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

4. 은사는 여러 가지나 성령은 같고
  There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5. 직임은 여러 가지나 주는 같으며
  There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.

6. 또 역사는 여러 가지나 모든 것을 모든 사람 가운데서 역사하시는 하나님은 같으니
  There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

7. 각 사람에게 성령의 나타남을 주심은 유익하게 하려 하심이라
  Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.

8. 어떤 이에게는 성령으로 말미암아 지혜의 말씀을, 어떤 이에게는 같은 성령을 따라 지식의 말씀을,
  To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,

9. 다른 이에게는 같은 성령으로 믿음을, 어떤 이에게는 한 성령으로 병 고치는 은사를,
  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,

10. 어떤 이에게는 능력 행함을, 어떤 이에게는 예언함을, 어떤 이에게는 영들 분별함을, 다른 이에게는 각종 방언 말함을, 어떤 이에게는 방언들 통역함을 주시나니
  to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

11. 이 모든 일은 같은 한 성령이 행하사 그 뜻대로 각 사람에게 나눠 주시느니라
  All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines.

12. 몸은 하나인데 많은 지체가 있고 몸의 지체가 많으나 한 몸임과 같이 그리스도도 그러하니라
  The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ.

13. 우리가 유대인이나 헬라인이나 종이나 자유자나 다 한 성령으로 세례를 받아 한 몸이 되었고 또 다 한 성령을 마시게 하셨느니라
  For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

14. 몸은 한 지체뿐 아니요 여럿이니
  Now the body is not made up of one part but of many.

15. 만일 발이 이르되 나는 손이 아니니 몸에 붙지 아니하였다 할찌라도 이로 인하여 몸에 붙지 아니한 것이 아니요
  If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.

16. 또 귀가 이르되 나는 눈이 아니니 몸에 붙지 아니하였다 할찌라도 이로 인하여 몸에 붙지 아니한 것이 아니니
  And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.

17. 만일 온 몸이 눈이면 듣는 곳은 어디며 온 몸이 듣는 곳이면 냄새 맡는 곳은 어디뇨
  If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?

18. 그러나 이제 하나님이 그 원하시는 대로 지체를 각각 몸에 두셨으니
  But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.

19. 만일 다 한 지체뿐이면 몸은 어디뇨
  If they were all one part, where would the body be?

20. 이제 지체는 많으나 몸은 하나라
  As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

21. 눈이 손더러 내가 너를 쓸데없다 하거나 또한 머리가 발더러 내가 너를 쓸데없다 하거나 하지 못하리라
  The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!"

22. 이뿐 아니라 몸의 더 약하게 보이는 지체가 도리어 요긴하고
  On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,

23. 우리가 몸의 덜 귀히 여기는 그것들을 더욱 귀한 것들로 입혀 주며 우리의 아름답지 못한 지체는 더욱 아름다운 것을 얻고
  and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty,

24. 우리의 아름다운 지체는 요구할 것이 없으니 오직 하나님이 몸을 고르게 하여 부족한 지체에게 존귀를 더하사
  while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it,

25. 몸 가운데서 분쟁이 없고 오직 여러 지체가 서로 같이하여 돌아보게 하셨으니
  so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.

26. 만일 한 지체가 고통을 받으면 모든 지체도 함께 고통을 받고 한 지체가 영광을 얻으면 모든 지체도 함께 즐거워하나니
  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.

27. 너희는 그리스도의 몸이요 지체의 각 부분이라
  Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

28. 하나님이 교회 중에 몇을 세우셨으니 첫째는 사도요 둘째는 선지자요 세째는 교사요 그 다음은 능력이요 그 다음은 병 고치는 은사와 서로 돕는 것과 다스리는 것과 각종 방언을 하는 것이라
  And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

29. 다 사도겠느냐 다 선지자겠느냐 다 교사겠느냐 다 능력을 행하는 자겠느냐
  Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles?

30. 다 병 고치는 은사를 가진 자겠느냐 다 방언을 말하는 자겠느냐 다 통역하는 자겠느냐
  Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?

31. 너희는 더욱 큰 은사를 사모하라 내가 또한 제일 좋은 길을 너희에게 보이리라
  But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.
