역대하 35

1. 요시야가 예루살렘 여호와 앞에서 유월절을 지켜 정월 십사일에 유월절 어린 양을 잡으니라
  Josiah celebrated the Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem, and the Passover lamb was slaughtered on the fourteenth day of the first month.

2. 왕이 제사장들에게 그 직분을 맡기고 면려하여 여호와의 전에서 사무를 행하게 하고
  He appointed the priests to their duties and encouraged them in the service of the LORD'S temple.

3. 또 여호와 앞에 구별되어서 온 이스라엘을 가르치는 레위 사람에게 이르되 거룩한 궤를 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 아들 솔로몬의 건축한 전 가운데 두고 다시는 너희 어깨에 메지 말고 마땅히 너희 하나님 여호와와 그 백성 이스라엘을 섬길 것이라
  He said to the Levites, who instructed all Israel and who had been consecrated to the LORD: "Put the sacred ark in the temple that Solomon son of David king of Israel built. It is not to be carried about on your shoulders. Now serve the LORD your God and his people Israel.

4. 너희는 이스라엘 왕 다윗의 글과 다윗의 아들 솔로몬의 글을 준행하여 너희 족속대로 반열을 따라 스스로 예비하고
  Prepare yourselves by families in your divisions, according to the directions written by David king of Israel and by his son Solomon.

5. 너희 형제 모든 백성의 족속의 차서대로 또는 레위 족속의 차서대로 성소에 서서
  "Stand in the holy place with a group of Levites for each subdivision of the families of your fellow countrymen, the lay people.

6. 스스로 성결케 하고 유월절 어린양을 잡아 너희 형제를 위하여 예비하되 여호와께서 모세로 전하신 말씀을 좇아 행할찌니라
  Slaughter the Passover lambs, consecrate yourselves and prepare the lambs for your fellow countrymen, doing what the LORD commanded through Moses."

7. 요시야가 그 모인 백성들에게 자기의 소유 양 떼 중에서 어린 양과 어린 염소 삼만과 수소 삼천을 내어 유월절 제물로 주매
  Josiah provided for all the lay people who were there a total of thirty thousand sheep and goats for the Passover offerings, and also three thousand cattle--all from the king's own possessions.

8. 방백들도 즐거이 희생을 드려 백성과 제사장들과 레위 사람들에게 주었고 하나님의 전을 주장하는 자 힐기야와 스가랴와 여히엘은 제사장들에게 양 이천육백과 수소 삼백을 유월절 제물로 주었고
  His officials also contributed voluntarily to the people and the priests and Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah and Jehiel, the administrators of God's temple, gave the priests twenty-six hundred Passover offerings and three hundred cattle.

9. 또 레위 사람의 두목들 곧 고나냐와 그 형제 스마야와 느다넬과 또 하사뱌와 여이엘과 요사밧은 양 오천과 수소 오백을 레위 사람들에게 유월절 제물로 주었더라
  Also Conaniah along with Shemaiah and Nethanel, his brothers, and Hashabiah, Jeiel and Jozabad, the leaders of the Levites, provided five thousand Passover offerings and five hundred head of cattle for the Levites.

10. 이와 같이 섬길 일이 구비하매 왕의 명을 좇아 제사장들은 자기 처소에 서고 레위 사람들은 그 반열대로 서고
  The service was arranged and the priests stood in their places with the Levites in their divisions as the king had ordered.

11. 유월절 양을 잡으니 제사장들은 저희 손에서 피를 받아 뿌리고 또 레위 사람들은 잡은 짐승의 가죽을 벗기고
  The Passover lambs were slaughtered, and the priests sprinkled the blood handed to them, while the Levites skinned the animals.

12. 그 번제물을 옮겨 족속의 차서대로 모든 백성에게 나누어 모세의 책에 기록된 대로 여호와께 드리게 하고 소도 그와 같이 하고
  They set aside the burnt offerings to give them to the subdivisions of the families of the people to offer to the LORD, as is written in the Book of Moses. They did the same with the cattle.

13. 이에 규례대로 유월절 양을 불에 굽고 그 나머지 성물은 솥과 가마와 남비에 삶아 모든 백성에게 속히 분배하고
  They roasted the Passover animals over the fire as prescribed, and boiled the holy offerings in pots, caldrons and pans and served them quickly to all the people.

14. 그 후에 자기와 제사장들을 위하여 준비하니 이는 아론의 자손 제사장들이 번제와 기름을 저녁까지 드리는 고로 레위 사람들이 자기와 아론의 자손 제사장들을 위하여 준비함이더라
  After this, they made preparations for themselves and for the priests, because the priests, the descendants of Aaron, were sacrificing the burnt offerings and the fat portions until nightfall. So the Levites made preparations for themselves and for the Aaronic priests.

15. 아삽의 자손 노래하는 자들은 다윗과 아삽과 헤만과 왕의 선견자 여두둔의 명한 대로 자기 처소에 있고 문지기들은 각 문에 있고 그 직임에서 떠날 것이 없었으니 이는 그 형제 레위 사람들이 저희를 위하여 예비하였음이더라
  The musicians, the descendants of Asaph, were in the places prescribed by David, Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun the king's seer. The gatekeepers at each gate did not need to leave their posts, because their fellow Levites made the preparations for them.

16. 이와 같이 당일에 여호와를 섬길 일이 다 준비되매 요시야 왕의 명대로 유월절을 지키며 번제를 여호와의 단에 드렸으며
  So at that time the entire service of the LORD was carried out for the celebration of the Passover and the offering of burnt offerings on the altar of the LORD, as King Josiah had ordered.

17. 그 때에 모인 이스라엘 자손이 유월절을 지키고 연하여 무교절을 칠 일 동안 지켰으니
  The Israelites who were present celebrated the Passover at that time and observed the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days.

18. 선지자 사무엘 이후로 이스라엘 가운데서 유월절을 이같이 지키지 못하였고 이스라엘 열왕도 요시야가 제사장들과 레위 사람들과 모인 온 유다와 이스라엘 무리와 예루살렘 거민과 함께 지킨 것처럼은 유월절을 지키지 못하였더라
  The Passover had not been observed like this in Israel since the days of the prophet Samuel; and none of the kings of Israel had ever celebrated such a Passover as did Josiah, with the priests, the Levites and all Judah and Israel who were there with the people of Jerusalem.

19. 요시야의 위에 있은 지 십팔 년에 이 유월절을 지켰더라
  This Passover was celebrated in the eighteenth year of Josiah's reign.

20. 이 모든 일 후 곧 요시야가 전을 정돈하기를 마친 후에 애굽 왕 느고가 유브라데 강 가의 갈그미스를 치러 올라온 고로 요시야가 나가서 방비하였더니
  After all this, when Josiah had set the temple in order, Neco king of Egypt went up to fight at Carchemish on the Euphrates, and Josiah marched out to meet him in battle.

21. 느고가 요시야에게 사자를 보내어 가로되 유다 왕이여 내가 그대와 무슨 관계가 있느뇨 내가 오늘날 그대를 치려는 것이 아니요 나로 더불어 싸우는 족속을 치려는 것이라 하나님이 나를 명하사 속히 하라 하셨은즉 하나님이 나와 함께 계시니 그대는 하나님을 거스리지 말라 그대를 멸하실까 하노라 하나
  But Neco sent messengers to him, saying, "What quarrel is there between you and me, O king of Judah? It is not you I am attacking at this time, but the house with which I am at war. God has told me to hurry; so stop opposing God, who is with me, or he will destroy you."

22. 요시야가 몸을 돌이켜 떠나기를 싫어하고 변장하고 싸우고자 하여 하나님의 입에서 나온 느고의 말을 듣지 아니하고 므깃도 골짜기에 이르러 싸울 때에
  Josiah, however, would not turn away from him, but disguised himself to engage him in battle. He would not listen to what Neco had said at God's command but went to fight him on the plain of Megiddo.

23. 활쏘는 자가 요시야 왕을 쏜지라 왕이 그 신복에게 이르되 내가 중상하였으니 나를 도와 나가게 하라
  Archers shot King Josiah, and he told his officers, "Take me away; I am badly wounded."

24. 그 신복이 저를 병거에서 내리게 하고 저의 버금 병거에 태워 예루살렘에 이른 후에 저가 죽으니 그 열조의 묘실에 장사하니라 온 유다와 예루살렘 사람들이 요시야를 슬퍼하고
  So they took him out of his chariot, put him in the other chariot he had and brought him to Jerusalem, where he died. He was buried in the tombs of his fathers, and all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for him.

25. 예레미야는 저를 위하여 애가를 지었으며 노래하는 남자와 여자는 요시야를 슬피 노래하니 이스라엘에 규례가 되어 오늘날까지 이르렀으며 그 가사는 애가 중에 기록되었더라
  Jeremiah composed laments for Josiah, and to this day all the men and women singers commemorate Josiah in the laments. These became a tradition in Israel and are written in the Laments.

26. 요시야의 남은 사적과 여호와의 율법에 기록된 대로 행한 모든 선한 일과
  The other events of Josiah's reign and his acts of devotion, according to what is written in the Law of the LORD--

27. 그 시종 행적이 이스라엘과 유다 열왕기에 기록되니라
  all the events, from beginning to end, are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

요한계시록 21

1. 또 내가 새 하늘과 새 땅을 보니 처음 하늘과 처음 땅이 없어졌고 바다도 다시 있지 않더라
  Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.

2. 또 내가 보매 거룩한 성 새 예루살렘이 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오니 그 예비한 것이 신부가 남편을 위하여 단장한 것 같더라
  I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

3. 내가 들으니 보좌에서 큰 음성이 나서 가로되 보라 하나님의 장막이 사람들과 함께 있으매 하나님이 저희와 함께 거하시리니 저희는 하나님의 백성이 되고 하나님은 친히 저희와 함께 계셔서
  And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

4. 모든 눈물을 그 눈에서 씻기시매 다시 사망이 없고 애통하는 것이나 곡하는 것이나 아픈 것이 다시 있지 아니하리니 처음 것들이 다 지나갔음이러라
  He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

5. 보좌에 앉으신 이가 가라사대 보라 내가 만물을 새롭게 하노라 하시고 또 가라사대 이 말은 신실하고 참되니 기록하라 하시고
  He who was seated on the throne said, "I am making everything new!" Then he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."

6. 또 내게 말씀하시되 이루었도다 나는 알파와 오메가요 처음과 나중이라 내가 생명수 샘물로 목마른 자에게 값없이 주리니
  He said to me: "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.

7. 이기는 자는 이것들을 유업으로 얻으리라 나는 저의 하나님이 되고 그는 내 아들이 되리라
  He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

8. 그러나 두려워하는 자들과 믿지 아니하는 자들과 흉악한 자들과 살인자들과 행음자들과 술객들과 우상 숭배자들과 모든 거짓말하는 자들은 불과 유황으로 타는 못에 참예하리니 이것이 둘째 사망이라
  But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."

9. 일곱 대접을 가지고 마지막 일곱 재앙을 담은 일곱 천사 중 하나가 나아와서 내게 말하여 가로되 이리 오라 내가 신부 곧 어린 양의 아내를 네게 보이리라 하고
  One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, "Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb."

10. 성령으로 나를 데리고 크고 높은 산으로 올라가 하나님께로부터 하늘에서 내려오는 거룩한 성 예루살렘을 보이니
  And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

11. 하나님의 영광이 있으매 그 성의 빛이 지극히 귀한 보석 같고 벽옥과 수정같이 맑더라
  It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

12. 크고 높은 성곽이 있고 열두 문이 있는데 문에 열두 천사가 있고 그 문들 위에 이름을 썼으니 이스라엘 자손 열두 지파의 이름들이라
  It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel.

13. 동편에 세 문, 북편에 세 문, 남편에 세 문, 서편에 세 문이니
  There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west.

14. 그 성에 성곽은 열두 기초석이 있고 그 위에 어린 양의 십이 사도의 열두 이름이 있더라
  The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15. 내게 말하는 자가 그 성과 그 문들과 성곽을 척량하려고 금갈대를 가졌더라
  The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls.

16. 그 성은 네모가 반듯하여 장광이 같은지라 그 갈대로 그 성을 척량하니 일만 이천 스다디온이요 장과 광과 고가 같더라
  The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia in length, and as wide and high as it is long.

17. 그 성곽을 척량하매 일백사십사 규빗이니 사람의 척량 곧 천사의 척량이라
  He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits thick, by man's measurement, which the angel was using.

18. 그 성곽은 벽옥으로 쌓였고 그 성은 정금인데 맑은 유리 같더라
  The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.

19. 그 성의 성곽의 기초석은 각색 보석으로 꾸몄는데 첫째 기초석은 벽옥이요 둘째는 남보석이요 세째는 옥수요 네째는 녹보석이요
  The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,

20. 다섯째는 홍마노요 여섯째는 홍보석이요 일곱째는 황옥이요 여덟째는 녹옥이요 아홉째는 담황옥이요 열째는 비취옥이요 열 한째는 청옥이요 열 둘째는 자정이라
  the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

21. 그 열두 문은 열두 진주니 문마다 한 진주요 성의 길은 맑은 유리 같은 정금이더라
  The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.

22. 성 안에 성전을 내가 보지 못하였으니 이는 주 하나님 곧 전능하신 이와 및 어린 양이 그 성전이심이라
  I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

23. 그 성은 해나 달의 비췸이 쓸데없으니 이는 하나님의 영광이 비취고 어린 양이 그 등이 되심이라
  The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

24. 만국이 그 빛 가운데로 다니고 땅의 왕들이 자기 영광을 가지고 그리로 들어오리라
  The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

25. 성문들을 낮에 도무지 닫지 아니하리니 거기는 밤이 없음이라
  On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.

26. 사람들이 만국의 영광과 존귀를 가지고 그리로 들어오겠고
  The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.

27. 무엇이든지 속된 것이나 가증한 일 또는 거짓말하는 자는 결코 그리로 들어오지 못하되 오직 어린 양의 생명책에 기록된 자들뿐이라
  Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

말라기 3

1. 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 보라 내가 내 사자를 보내리니 그가 내 앞에서 길을 예비할 것이요 또 너희의 구하는 바 주가 홀연히 그 전에 임하리니 곧 너희의 사모하는 바 언약의 사자가 임할 것이라
  "See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the LORD Almighty.

2. 그의 임하는 날을 누가 능히 당하며 그의 나타나는 때에 누가 능히 서리요 그는 금을 연단하는 자의 불과 표백하는 자의 잿물과 같을 것이라
  But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap.

3. 그가 은을 연단하여 깨끗케 하는 자 같이 앉아서 레위 자손을 깨끗케 하되 금, 은 같이 그들을 연단하리니 그들이 의로운 제물을 나 여호와께 드릴 것이라
  He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,

4. 그 때에 유다와 예루살렘의 헌물이 옛날과 고대와 같이 나 여호와께 기쁨이 되려니와
  and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former years.

5. 내가 심판하러 너희에게 임할 것이라 술수하는 자에게와 간음하는 자에게와 거짓 맹세하는 자에게와 품군의 삯에 대하여 억울케하며 과부와 고아를 압제하며 나그네를 억울케 하며 나를 경외치 아니하는 자들에게 속히 증거하리라 만군의 여호와가 말하였느니라
  "So I will come near to you for judgment. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive aliens of justice, but do not fear me," says the LORD Almighty.

6. 나 여호와는 변역지 아니하나니 그러므로 야곱의 자손들아 너희가 소멸되지 아니하느니라
  "I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.

7. 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 너희 열조의 날로부터 너희가 나의 규례를 떠나 지키지 아니하였도다 그런즉 내게로 돌아오라 그리하면 나도 너희에게로 돌아가리라 하였더니 너희가 이르기를 우리가 어떻게 하여야 돌아가리이까 하도다
  Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty. "But you ask, 'How are we to return?'

8. 사람이 어찌 하나님의 것을 도적질하겠느냐 그러나 너희는 나의 것을 도적질하고도 말하기를 우리가 어떻게 주의 것을 도적질하였나이까 하도다 이는 곧 십일조와 헌물이라
  "Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings.

9. 너희 곧 온 나라가 나의 것을 도적질하였으므로 너희가 저주를 받았느니라
  You are under a curse--the whole nation of you--because you are robbing me.

10. 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 너희의 온전한 십일조를 창고에 들여 나의 집에 양식이 있게 하고 그것으로 나를 시험하여 내가 하늘 문을 열고 너희에게 복을 쌓을 곳이 없도록 붓지 아니하나 보라
  Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

11. 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 내가 너희를 위하여 황충을 금하여 너희 토지 소산을 멸하지 않게 하며 너희 밭에 포도나무의 과실로 기한 전에 떨어지지 않게 하리니
  I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty.

12. 너희 땅이 아름다와지므로 열방이 너희를 복되다 하리라 만군의 여호와의 말이니라
  "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty.

13. 여호와가 이르노라 너희가 완악한 말로 나를 대적하고도 이르기를 우리가 무슨 말로 주를 대적하였나이까 하는도다
  "You have said harsh things against me," says the LORD. "Yet you ask, 'What have we said against you?'

14. 이는 너희가 말하기를 하나님을 섬기는 것이 헛되니 만군의 여호와 앞에 그 명령을 지키며 슬프게 행하는 것이 무엇이 유익하리요
  "You have said, 'It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD Almighty?

15. 지금 우리는 교만한 자가 복되다 하며 악을 행하는 자가 창성하며 하나님을 시험하는 자가 화를 면한다 하노라 함이니라
  But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape.'"

16. 그 때에 여호와를 경외하는 자들이 피차에 말하매 여호와께서 그것을 분명히 들으시고 여호와를 경외하는 자와 그 이름을 존중히 생각하는 자를 위하여 여호와 앞에 있는 기념책에 기록하셨느니라
  Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.

17. 만군의 여호와가 이르노라 내가 나의 정한 날에 그들로 나의 특별한 소유를 삼을 것이요 또 사람이 자기를 섬기는 아들을 아낌같이 내가 그들을 아끼리니
  "They will be mine," says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him.

18. 그 때에 너희가 돌아와서 의인과 악인이며 하나님을 섬기는 자와 섬기지 아니하는 자를 분별하리라
  And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

요한복음 20

1. 안식 후 첫날 이른 아침 아직 어두울 때에 막달라 마리아가 무덤에 와서 돌이 무덤에서 옮겨 간 것을 보고
  Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.

2. 시몬 베드로와 예수의 사랑하시던 그 다른 제자에게 달려가서 말하되 사람이 주를 무덤에서 가져다가 어디 두었는지 우리가 알지 못하겠다 하니
  So she came running to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and said, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have put him!"

3. 베드로와 그 다른 제자가 나가서 무덤으로 갈쌔
  So Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb.

4. 둘이 같이 달음질하더니 그 다른 제자가 베드로보다 더 빨리 달아나서 먼저 무덤에 이르러
  Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first.

5. 구푸려 세마포 놓인 것을 보았으나 들어가지는 아니하였더니
  He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in.

6. 시몬 베드로도 따라와서 무덤에 들어가 보니 세마포가 놓였고
  Then Simon Peter, who was behind him, arrived and went into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there,

7. 또 머리를 쌌던 수건은 세마포와 함께 놓이지 않고 딴 곳에 개켜 있더라
  as well as the burial cloth that had been around Jesus' head. The cloth was folded up by itself, separate from the linen.

8. 그 때에야 무덤에 먼저 왔던 그 다른 제자도 들어가 보고 믿더라
  Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.

9. (저희는 성경에 그가 죽은 자 가운데서 다시 살아나야 하리라 하신 말씀을 아직 알지 못하더라)
  (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)

10. 이에 두 제자가 자기 집으로 돌아가니라
  Then the disciples went back to their homes,

11. 마리아는 무덤 밖에 서서 울고 있더니 울면서 구푸려 무덤 속을 들여다보니
  but Mary stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb

12. 흰 옷 입은 두 천사가 예수의 시체 뉘었던 곳에 하나는 머리 편에, 하나는 발 편에 앉았더라
  and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus' body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot.

13. 천사들이 가로되 여자여 어찌하여 우느냐 가로되 사람이 내 주를 가져다가 어디 두었는지 내가 알지 못함이니이다
  They asked her, "Woman, why are you crying?" "They have taken my Lord away," she said, "and I don't know where they have put him."

14. 이 말을 하고 뒤로 돌이켜 예수의 서신 것을 보나 예수신 줄 알지 못하더라
  At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.

15. 예수께서 가라사대 여자여 어찌하여 울며 누구를 찾느냐 하시니 마리아는 그가 동산지기인 줄로 알고 가로되 주여 당신이 옮겨 갔거든 어디 두었는지 내게 이르소서 그리하면 내가 가져가리이다
  "Woman," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?" Thinking he was the gardener, she said, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him."

16. 예수께서 마리아야 하시거늘 마리아가 돌이켜 히브리 말로 랍오니여 하니 (이는 선생님이라)
  Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher).

17. 예수께서 이르시되 나를 만지지 말라 내가 아직 아버지께로 올라가지 못하였노라 너는 내 형제들에게 가서 이르되 내가 내 아버지 곧 너희 아버지, 내 하나님 곧 너희 하나님께로 올라간다 하라 하신대
  Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"

18. 막달라 마리아가 가서 제자들에게 내가 주를 보았다 하고 또 주께서 자기에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다 이르니라
  Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them that he had said these things to her.

19. 이날 곧 안식 후 첫날 저녁 때에 제자들이 유대인들을 두려워하여 모인 곳에 문들을 닫았더니 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을찌어다
  On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"

20. 이 말씀을 하시고 손과 옆구리를 보이시니 제자들이 주를 보고 기뻐하더라
  After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

21. 예수께서 또 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을찌어다 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라
  Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."

22. 이 말씀을 하시고 저희를 향하사 숨을 내쉬며 가라사대 성령을 받으라
  And with that he breathed on them and said, "Receive the Holy Spirit.

23. 너희가 뉘 죄든지 사하면 사하여질 것이요 뉘 죄든지 그대로 두면 그대로 있으리라 하시니라
  If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven."

24. 열두 제자 중에 하나인 디두모라 하는 도마는 예수 오셨을 때에 함께 있지 아니한지라
  Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came.

25. 다른 제자들이 그에게 이르되 우리가 주를 보았노라 하니 도마가 가로되 내가 그 손의 못자국을 보며 내 손가락을 그 못자국에 넣으며 내 손을 그 옆구리에 넣어 보지 않고는 믿지 아니하겠노라 하니라
  So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."

26. 여드레를 지나서 제자들이 다시 집안에 있을 때에 도마도 함께 있고 문들이 닫혔는데 예수께서 오사 가운데 서서 가라사대 너희에게 평강이 있을찌어다 하시고
  A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!"

27. 도마에게 이르시되 네 손가락을 이리 내밀어 내 손을 보고 네 손을 내밀어 내 옆구리에 넣어 보라 그리하고 믿음 없는 자가 되지 말고 믿는 자가 되라
  Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

28. 도마가 대답하여 가로되 나의 주시며 나의 하나님이시니이다
  Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

29. 예수께서 가라사대 너는 나를 본 고로 믿느냐 보지 못하고 믿는 자들은 복되도다 하시니라
  Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

30. 예수께서 제자들 앞에서 이 책에 기록되지 아니한 다른 표적도 많이 행하셨으나
  Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.

31. 오직 이것을 기록함은 너희로 예수께서 하나님의 아들 그리스도이심을 믿게 하려 함이요 또 너희로 믿고 그 이름을 힘입어 생명을 얻게 하려 함이니라
  But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
