열왕기하 2

1. 여호와께서 회리바람으로 엘리야를 하늘에 올리고자 하실 때에 엘리야가 엘리사로 더불어 길갈에서 나가더니
  When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal.

2. 엘리야가 엘리사에게 이르되 청컨대 너는 여기 머물라 여호와께서 나를 벧엘로 보내시느니라 엘리사가 가로되 여호와의 사심과 당신의 혼의 삶을 가리켜 맹세하노니 내가 당신을 떠나지 아니하겠나이다 이에 두 사람이 벧엘로 내려가니
  Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.

3. 벧엘에 있는 선지자의 생도들이 엘리사에게로 나아와 이르되 여호와께서 오늘날 당신의 선생을 당신의 머리 위로 취하실 줄을 아나이까 가로되 나도 아노니 너희는 잠잠하라
  The company of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and asked, "Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?" "Yes, I know," Elisha replied, "but do not speak of it."

4. 엘리야가 저에게 이르되 엘리사야 청컨대 너는 여기 머물라 여호와께서 나를 여리고로 보내시느니라 엘리사가 가로되 여호와의 사심과 당신의 혼의 삶을 가리켜 맹세하노니 내가 당신을 떠나지 아니하겠나이다 하니라 저희가 여리고에 이르매
  Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here, Elisha; the LORD has sent me to Jericho." And he replied, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went to Jericho.

5. 여리고에 있는 선지자의 생도들이 엘리사에게 나아와 이르되 여호와께서 오늘날 당신의 선생을 당신의 머리 위로 취하실 줄을 아나이까 엘리사가 가로되 나도 아노니 너희는 잠잠하라
  The company of the prophets at Jericho went up to Elisha and asked him, "Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?" "Yes, I know," he replied, "but do not speak of it."

6. 엘리야가 또 엘리사에게 이르되 청컨대 너는 여기 머물라 여호와께서 나를 요단으로 보내시느니라 저가 가로되 여호와의 사심과 당신의 혼의 삶을 가리켜 맹세하노니 내가 당신을 떠나지 아니하겠나이다 이에 두 사람이 행하니라
  Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here; the LORD has sent me to the Jordan." And he replied, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So the two of them walked on.

7. 선지자의 생도 오십 인이 가서 멀리 서서 바라보매 그 두 사람이 요단 가에 섰더니
  Fifty men of the company of the prophets went and stood at a distance, facing the place where Elijah and Elisha had stopped at the Jordan.

8. 엘리야가 겉옷을 취하여 말아 물을 치매 물이 이리저리 갈라지고 두 사람이 육지 위로 건너더라
  Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground.

9. 건너매 엘리야가 엘리사에게 이르되 나를 네게서 취하시기 전에 내가 네게 어떻게 할 것을 구하라 엘리사가 가로되 당신의 영감이 갑절이나 내게 있기를 구하나이다
  When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?" "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied.

10. 가로되 네가 어려운 일을 구하는도다 그러나 나를 네게서 취하시는 것을 네가 보면 그 일이 네게 이루려니와 그렇지 않으면 이루지 아니하리라 하고
  "You have asked a difficult thing," Elijah said, "yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours--otherwise not."

11. 두 사람이 행하며 말하더니 홀연히 불수레와 불말들이 두 사람을 격하고 엘리야가 회리바람을 타고 승천하더라
  As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

12. 엘리사가 보고 소리지르되 내 아버지여 내 아버지여 이스라엘의 병거와 그 마병이여 하더니 다시 보이지 아니하는지라 이에 엘리사가 자기의 옷을 잡아 둘에 찢고
  Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart.

13. 엘리야의 몸에서 떨어진 겉옷을 주워 가지고 돌아와서 요단 언덕에 서서
  He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan.

14. 엘리야의 몸에서 떨어진 그 겉옷을 가지고 물을 치며 가로되 엘리야의 하나님 여호와는 어디 계시니이까 하고 저도 물을 치매 물이 이리저리 갈라지고 엘리사가 건너니라
  Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it. "Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?" he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.

15. 맞은편 여리고에 있는 선지자의 생도들이 저를 보며 말하기를 엘리야의 영감이 엘리사의 위에 머물렀다 하고 가서 저를 영접하여 그 앞에서 땅에 엎드리고
  The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, "The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha." And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

16. 가로되 당신의 종들에게 용사 오십 인이 있으니 청컨대 저희로 가서 당신의 주를 찾게 하소서 염려컨대 여호와의 신이 저를 들어가다가 어느 산에나 어느 골짜기에 던지셨을까 하나이다 엘리사가 가로되 보내지 말라 하나
  "Look," they said, "we your servants have fifty able men. Let them go and look for your master. Perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has picked him up and set him down on some mountain or in some valley." "No," Elisha replied, "do not send them."

17. 무리가 저로 부끄러워하도록 강청하매 보내라 한지라 저희가 오십 인을 보내었더니 사흘을 찾되 발견하지 못하고
  But they persisted until he was too ashamed to refuse. So he said, "Send them." And they sent fifty men, who searched for three days but did not find him.

18. 엘리사가 여리고에 머무는 중에 무리가 저에게 돌아오니 엘리사가 저희에게 이르되 내가 가지 말라고 너희에게 이르지 아니하였느냐 하였더라
  When they returned to Elisha, who was staying in Jericho, he said to them, "Didn't I tell you not to go?"

19. 그 성 사람들이 엘리사에게 고하되 우리 주께서 보시는 바와 같이 이 성읍의 터는 아름다우나 물이 좋지 못하므로 토산이 익지 못하고 떨어지나이다
  The men of the city said to Elisha, "Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive."

20. 엘리사가 가로되 새 그릇에 소금을 담아 내게로 가져오라 하매 곧 가져온지라
  "Bring me a new bowl," he said, "and put salt in it." So they brought it to him.

21. 엘리사가 물 근원으로 나아가서 소금을 그 가운데 던지며 가로되 여호와의 말씀이 내가 이 물을 고쳤으니 이로 좇아 다시는 죽음이나 토산이 익지 못하고 떨어짐이 없을찌니라 하셨느니라 하니
  Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, "This is what the LORD says: 'I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.'"

22. 그 물이 엘리사의 말과 같이 고쳐져서 오늘날에 이르렀더라
  And the water has remained wholesome to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken.

23. 엘리사가 거기서 벧엘로 올라가더니 길에 행할 때에 젊은 아이들이 성에서 나와서 저를 조롱하여 가로되 대머리여 올라가라 대머리여 올라가라 하는지라
  From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!"

24. 엘리사가 돌이켜 저희를 보고 여호와의 이름으로 저주하매 곧 수풀에서 암콤 둘이 나와서 아이들 중에 사십이 명을 찢었더라
  He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths.

25. 엘리사가 거기서부터 갈멜 산으로 가고 거기서 사마리아로 돌아왔더라
  And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.

데살로니가후서 2

1. 형제들아 우리가 너희에게 구하는 것은 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 강림하심과 우리가 그 앞에 모임에 관하여
  Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers,

2. 혹 영으로나 혹 말로나 혹 우리에게서 받았다 하는 편지로나 주의 날이 이르렀다고 쉬 동심하거나 두려워하거나 하지 아니할 그것이라
  not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.

3. 누가 아무렇게 하여도 너희가 미혹하지 말라 먼저 배도하는 일이 있고 저 불법의 사람 곧 멸망의 아들이 나타나기 전에는 이르지 아니하리니
  Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.

4. 저는 대적하는 자라 범사에 일컫는 하나님이나 숭배함을 받는 자 위에 뛰어나 자존하여 하나님 성전에 앉아 자기를 보여 하나님이라 하느니라
  He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

5. 내가 너희와 함께 있을 때에 이 일을 너희에게 말한 것을 기억하지 못하느냐
  Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?

6. 저로 하여금 저의 때에 나타나게 하려 하여 막는 것을 지금도 너희가 아나니
  And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.

7. 불법의 비밀이 이미 활동하였으나 지금 막는 자가 있어 그 중에서 옮길 때까지 하리라
  For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.

8. 그 때에 불법한 자가 나타나리니 주 예수께서 그 입의 기운으로 저를 죽이시고 강림하여 나타나심으로 폐하시리라
  And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.

9. 악한 자의 임함은 사단의 역사를 따라 모든 능력과 표적과 거짓 기적과
  The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,

10. 불의의 모든 속임으로 멸망하는 자들에게 임하리니 이는 저희가 진리의 사랑을 받지 아니하여 구원함을 얻지 못함이니라
  and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

11. 이러므로 하나님이 유혹을 저의 가운데 역사하게 하사 거짓 것을 믿게 하심은
  For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie

12. 진리를 믿지 않고 불의를 좋아하는 모든 자로 심판을 받게 하려 하심이니라
  and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

13. 주의 사랑하시는 형제들아 우리가 항상 너희를 위하여 마땅히 하나님께 감사할 것은 하나님이 처음부터 너희를 택하사 성령의 거룩하게 하심과 진리를 믿음으로 구원을 얻게 하심이니
  But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

14. 이를 위하여 우리 복음으로 너희를 부르사 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 영광을 얻게 하려 하심이니라
  He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15. 이러므로 형제들아 굳게 서서 말로나 우리 편지로 가르침을 받은 유전을 지키라
  So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

16. 우리 주 예수 그리스도와 우리를 사랑하시고 영원한 위로와 좋은 소망을 은혜로 주신 하나님 우리 아버지께서
  May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,

17. 너희 마음을 위로하시고 모든 선한 일과 말에 굳게 하시기를 원하노라
  encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

■ 혼자 읽기

다니엘 6

1. 다리오가 자기의 심원대로 방백 일백이십 명을 세워 전국을 통치하게 하고
  It pleased Darius to appoint 120 satraps to rule throughout the kingdom,

2. 또 그들 위에 총리 셋을 두었으니 다니엘이 그 중에 하나이라 이는 방백들로 총리에게 자기의 직무를 보고하게 하여 왕에게 손해가 없게 하려 함이었더라
  with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss.

3. 다니엘은 마음이 민첩하여 총리들과 방백들 위에 뛰어나므로 왕이 그를 세워 전국을 다스리게 하고자 한지라
  Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.

4. 이에 총리들과 방백들이 국사에 대하여 다니엘을 고소할 틈을 얻고자 하였으나 능히 아무 틈, 아무 허물을 얻지 못하였으니 이는 그가 충성되어 아무 그릇함도 없고 아무 허물도 없음이었더라
  At this, the administrators and the satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of government affairs, but they were unable to do so. They could find no corruption in him, because he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent.

5. 그 사람들이 가로되 이 다니엘은 그 하나님의 율법에 대하여 그 틈을 얻지 못하면 그를 고소할 수 없으리라 하고
  Finally these men said, "We will never find any basis for charges against this man Daniel unless it has something to do with the law of his God."

6. 이에 총리들과 방백들이 모여 왕에게 나아가서 그에게 말하되 다리오 왕이여 만세수를 하옵소서
  So the administrators and the satraps went as a group to the king and said: "O King Darius, live forever!

7. 나라의 모든 총리와 수령과 방백과 모사와 관원이 의논하고 왕에게 한 율법을 세우며 한 금령을 정하실 것을 구하려 하였는데 왕이여 그것은 곧 이제부터 삼십 일 동안에 누구든지 왕 외에 어느 신에게나 사람에게 무엇을 구하면 사자굴에 던져넣기로 한 것이니이다
  The royal administrators, prefects, satraps, advisers and governors have all agreed that the king should issue an edict and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or man during the next thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be thrown into the lions' den.

8. 그런즉 왕이여 원컨대 금령을 세우시고 그 조서에 어인을 찍어서 메대와 바사의 변개치 아니하는 규례를 따라 그것을 다시 고치지 못하게 하옵소서 하매
  Now, O king, issue the decree and put it in writing so that it cannot be altered--in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed."

9. 이에 다리오 왕이 조서에 어인을 찍어 금령을 내니라
  So King Darius put the decree in writing.

10. 다니엘이 이 조서에 어인이 찍힌 것을 알고도 자기 집에 돌아가서는 그 방의 예루살렘으로 향하여 열린 창에서 전에 행하던 대로 하루 세 번씩 무릎을 꿇고 기도하며 그 하나님께 감사하였더라
  Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

11. 그 무리들이 모여서 다니엘이 자기 하나님 앞에 기도하며 간구하는 것을 발견하고
  Then these men went as a group and found Daniel praying and asking God for help.

12. 이에 그들이 나아가서 왕의 금령에 대하여 왕께 아뢰되 왕이여 왕이 이미 금령에 어인을 찍어서 이제부터 삼십 일 동안에 누구든지 왕 외에 어느 신에게나 사람에게 구하면 사자굴에 던져넣기로 하지 아니하였나이까 왕이 대답하여 가로되 이 일이 적실하니 메대와 바사의 변개치 아니하는 규례대로 된 것이니라
  So they went to the king and spoke to him about his royal decree: "Did you not publish a decree that during the next thirty days anyone who prays to any god or man except to you, O king, would be thrown into the lions' den?" The king answered, "The decree stands--in accordance with the laws of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be repealed."

13. 그들이 왕 앞에서 대답하여 가로되 왕이여 사로잡혀 온 유다 자손 중에 그 다니엘이 왕과 왕의 어인이 찍힌 금령을 돌아보지 아니하고 하루 세 번씩 기도하나이다
  Then they said to the king, "Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the decree you put in writing. He still prays three times a day."

14. 왕이 이 말을 듣고 그로 인하여 심히 근심하여 다니엘을 구원하려고 마음을 쓰며 그를 건져내려고 힘을 다하여 해가 질 때까지 이르매
  When the king heard this, he was greatly distressed; he was determined to rescue Daniel and made every effort until sundown to save him.

15. 그 무리들이 또 모여 왕에게로 나아와서 왕께 말씀하되 왕이여 메대와 바사의 규례를 아시거니와 왕의 세우신 금령과 법도는 변개하지 못할 것이니이다
  Then the men went as a group to the king and said to him, "Remember, O king, that according to the law of the Medes and Persians no decree or edict that the king issues can be changed."

16. 이에 왕이 명하매 다니엘을 끌어다가 사자굴에 던져넣는지라 왕이 다니엘에게 일러 가로되 너의 항상 섬기는 네 하나님이 너를 구원하시리라 하니라
  So the king gave the order, and they brought Daniel and threw him into the lions' den. The king said to Daniel, "May your God, whom you serve continually, rescue you!"

17. 이에 돌을 굴려다가 굴 아구를 막으매 왕이 어인과 귀인들의 인을 쳐서 봉하였으니 이는 다니엘 처치한 것을 변개함이 없게 하려 함이었더라
  A stone was brought and placed over the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the rings of his nobles, so that Daniel's situation might not be changed.

18. 왕이 궁에 돌아가서는 밤이 맟도록 금식하고 그 앞에 기악을 그치고 침수를 폐하니라
  Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night without eating and without any entertainment being brought to him. And he could not sleep.

19. 이튿날에 왕이 새벽에 일어나 급히 사자굴로 가서
  At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lions' den.

20. 다니엘의 든 굴에 가까이 이르러는 슬피 소리질러 다니엘에게 물어 가로되 사시는 하나님의 종 다니엘아 너의 항상 섬기는 네 하나님이 사자에게서 너를 구원하시기에 능하셨느냐
  When he came near the den, he called to Daniel in an anguished voice, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to rescue you from the lions?"

21. 다니엘이 왕에게 고하되 왕이여 원컨대 왕은 만세수를 하옵소서
  Daniel answered, "O king, live forever!

22. 나의 하나님이 이미 그 천사를 보내어 사자들의 입을 봉하셨으므로 사자들이 나를 상해치 아니하였사오니 이는 나의 무죄함이 그 앞에 명백함이오며 또 왕이여 나는 왕의 앞에도 해를 끼치지 아니하였나이다
  My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, O king."

23. 왕이 심히 기뻐서 명하여 다니엘을 굴에서 올리라 하매 그들이 다니엘을 굴에서 올린즉 그 몸이 조금도 상하지 아니하였으니 이는 그가 자기 하나님을 의뢰함이었더라
  The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

24. 왕이 명을 내려 다니엘을 참소한 사람들을 끌어오게 하고 그들을 그 처자들과 함께 사자굴에 던져넣게 하였더니 그들이 굴 밑에 닿기 전에 사자가 곧 그들을 움켜서 그 뼈까지도 부숴뜨렸더라
  At the king's command, the men who had falsely accused Daniel were brought in and thrown into the lions' den, along with their wives and children. And before they reached the floor of the den, the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

25. 이에 다리오왕이 온 땅에 있는 모든 백성과 나라들과 각 방언하는 자들에게 조서를 내려 가로되 원컨대 많은 평강이 너희에게 있을찌어다
  Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations and men of every language throughout the land: "May you prosper greatly!

26. 내가 이제 조서를 내리노라 내 나라 관할 아래 있는 사람들은 다 다니엘의 하나님 앞에서 떨며 두려워할찌니 그는 사시는 하나님이시요 영원히 변치 않으실 자시며 그 나라는 망하지 아니할 것이요 그 권세는 무궁할 것이며
  "I issue a decree that in every part of my kingdom people must fear and reverence the God of Daniel. "For he is the living God and he endures forever; his kingdom will not be destroyed, his dominion will never end.

27. 그는 구원도 하시며 건져내기도 하시며 하늘에서든지 땅에서든지 이적과 기사를 행하시는 자로서 다니엘을 구원하여 사자의 입에서 벗어나게 하셨음이니라 하였더라
  He rescues and he saves; he performs signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions."

28. 이 다니엘이 다리오 왕의 시대와 바사 사람 고레스 왕의 시대에 형통하였더라
  So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

시편 112-113

1. 할렐루야, 여호와를 경외하며 그 계명을 크게 즐거워하는 자는 복이 있도다
  Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who finds great delight in his commands.

2. 그 후손이 땅에서 강성함이여 정직자의 후대가 복이 있으리로다
  His children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

3. 부요와 재물이 그 집에 있음이여 그 의가 영원히 있으리로다
  Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

4. 정직한 자에게는 흑암 중에 빛이 일어나나니 그는 어질고 자비하고 의로운 자로다
  Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man.

5. 은혜를 베풀며 꾸이는 자는 잘 되나니 그 일을 공의로 하리로다
  Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice.

6. 저가 영영히 요동치 아니함이여 의인은 영원히 기념하게 되리로다
  Surely he will never be shaken; a righteous man will be remembered forever.

7. 그는 흉한 소식을 두려워 아니함이여 여호와를 의뢰하고 그 마음을 굳게 정하였도다
  He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

8. 그 마음이 견고하여 두려워 아니할 것이라 그 대적의 받는 보응을 필경 보리로다
  His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes.

9. 저가 재물을 흩어 빈궁한 자에게 주었으니 그 의가 영원히 있고 그 뿔이 영화로이 들리리로다
  He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor.

10. 악인은 이를 보고 한하여 이를 갈면서 소멸하리니 악인의 소욕은 멸망하리로다
  The wicked man will see and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

1. 할렐루야, 여호와의 종들아 찬양하라 여호와의 이름을 찬양하라
  Praise the LORD. Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

2. 이제부터 영원까지 여호와의 이름을 찬송할찌로다
  Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.

3. 해 돋는 데서부터 해지는 데까지 여호와의 이름이 찬양을 받으시리로다
  From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD is to be praised.

4. 여호와는 모든 나라 위에 높으시며 그 영광은 하늘 위에 높으시도다
  The LORD is exalted over all the nations, his glory above the heavens.

5. 여호와 우리 하나님과 같은 자 누구리요 높은 위에 앉으셨으나
  Who is like the LORD our God, the One who sits enthroned on high,

6. 스스로 낮추사 천지를 살피시고
  who stoops down to look on the heavens and the earth?

7. 가난한 자를 진토에서 일으키시며 궁핍한 자를 거름 무더기에서 드셔서
  He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap;

8. 방백들 곧 그 백성의 방백들과 함께 세우시며
  he seats them with princes, with the princes of their people.

9. 또 잉태하지 못하던 여자로 집에 거하게 하사 자녀의 즐거운 어미가 되게 하시는도다 할렐루야
  He settles the barren woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD.
