열왕기하 3

1. 유다 왕 여호사밧의 십팔년에 아합의 아들 여호람이 사마리아에서 이스라엘 왕이 되어 십이 년을 치리하니라
  Joram son of Ahab became king of Israel in Samaria in the eighteenth year of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, and he reigned twelve years.

2. 저가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하였으나 그 부모와 같이 하지는 아니하였으니 이는 저가 그 아비의 만든 바알의 주상을 제하였음이라
  He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, but not as his father and mother had done. He got rid of the sacred stone of Baal that his father had made.

3. 그러나 저가 느밧의 아들 여로보암이 이스라엘로 범하게 한 그 죄를 따라 행하고 떠나지 아니하였더라
  Nevertheless he clung to the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit; he did not turn away from them.

4. 모압 왕 메사는 양을 치는 자라 새끼 양 십만의 털과 수양 십만의 털을 이스라엘 왕에게 바치더니
  Now Mesha king of Moab raised sheep, and he had to supply the king of Israel with a hundred thousand lambs and with the wool of a hundred thousand rams.

5. 아합이 죽은 후에 모압 왕이 이스라엘 왕을 배반한지라
  But after Ahab died, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

6. 그 때에 여호람 왕이 사마리아에서 나가서 온 이스라엘을 점고하고
  So at that time King Joram set out from Samaria and mobilized all Israel.

7. 또 가서 유다 왕 여호사밧에게 보내어 이르되 모압 왕이 나를 배반하였으니 당신은 나와 함께 가서 모압을 치시겠느뇨 저가 가로되 내가 올라가리이다 나는 당신과 일반이요 내 백성은 당신의 백성과 일반이요 내 말들도 당신의 말들과 일반이니이다
  He also sent this message to Jehoshaphat king of Judah: "The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?" "I will go with you," he replied. "I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses."

8. 여호람이 가로되 우리가 어느 길로 올라가리이까 저가 대답하되 에돔 광야 길로니이다
  "By what route shall we attack?" he asked. "Through the Desert of Edom," he answered.

9. 이스라엘 왕이 유다 왕과 에돔 왕으로 더불어 행하더니 길을 둘러 행한 지 칠 일에 군사와 따라가는 생축을 먹일 물이 없는지라
  So the king of Israel set out with the king of Judah and the king of Edom. After a roundabout march of seven days, the army had no more water for themselves or for the animals with them.

10. 이스라엘 왕이 가로되 슬프다 여호와께서 이 세 왕을 불러모아 모압의 손에 붙이려 하시는도다
  "What!" exclaimed the king of Israel. "Has the LORD called us three kings together only to hand us over to Moab?"

11. 여호사밧이 가로되 우리가 여호와께 물을 만한 여호와의 선지자가 여기 없느냐 이스라엘 왕의 신복 중에 한 사람이 대답하여 가로되 전에 엘리야의 손에 물을 붓던 사밧의 아들 엘리사가 여기 있나이다
  But Jehoshaphat asked, "Is there no prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD through him?" An officer of the king of Israel answered, "Elisha son of Shaphat is here. He used to pour water on the hands of Elijah."

12. 여호사밧이 가로되 여호와의 말씀이 저에게 있도다 이에 이스라엘 왕이 여호사밧과 에돔 왕으로 더불어 그에게로 내려가니라
  Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the LORD is with him." So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.

13. 엘리사가 이스라엘 왕에게 이르되 내가 당신과 무슨 상관이 있나이까 당신의 부친의 선지자들과 당신의 모친의 선지자들에게로 가소서 이스라엘 왕이 저에게 이르되 그렇지 아니하니이다 여호와께서 이 세 왕을 불러모아 모압의 손에 붙이려 하시나이다
  Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What do we have to do with each other? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother." "No," the king of Israel answered, "because it was the LORD who called us three kings together to hand us over to Moab."

14. 엘리사가 가로되 내가 섬기는 만군의 여호와의 사심을 가리켜 맹세하노니 내가 만일 유다 왕 여호사밧의 낯을 봄이 아니면 당신을 향하지도 아니하고 보지도 아니하였으리이다
  Elisha said, "As surely as the LORD Almighty lives, whom I serve, if I did not have respect for the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you or even notice you.

15. 이제 내게로 거문고 탈 자를 불러 오소서 하니라 거문고 타는 자가 거문고를 탈 때에 여호와께서 엘리사를 감동하시니
  But now bring me a harpist." While the harpist was playing, the hand of the LORD came upon Elisha

16. 저가 가로되 여호와의 말씀이 이 골짜기에 개천을 많이 파라 하셨나이다
  and he said, "This is what the LORD says: Make this valley full of ditches.

17. 여호와께서 이르시기를 너희가 바람도 보지 못하고 비도 보지 못하되 이 골짜기에 물이 가득하여 너희와 너희 육축과 짐승이 마시리라 하셨나이다
  For this is what the LORD says: You will see neither wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water, and you, your cattle and your other animals will drink.

18. 이것은 여호와 보시기에 오히려 작은 일이라 여호와께서 모압 사람도 당신의 손에 붙이시리니
  This is an easy thing in the eyes of the LORD; he will also hand Moab over to you.

19. 당신들이 모든 견고한 성과 모든 아름다운 성을 치고 모든 좋은 나무를 베고 모든 샘을 메우고 돌로 모든 좋은 밭을 헐리이다 하더니
  You will overthrow every fortified city and every major town. You will cut down every good tree, stop up all the springs, and ruin every good field with stones."

20. 아침에 미쳐 소제 드릴 때에 물이 에돔 편에서부터 흘러와서 그 땅에 가득하였더라
  The next morning, about the time for offering the sacrifice, there it was--water flowing from the direction of Edom! And the land was filled with water.

21. 모압 모든 사람이 왕들이 올라와서 자기를 치려 한다 함을 듣고 갑옷 입을 만한 자로부터 그 이상이 다 모여 그 경계에 섰더라
  Now all the Moabites had heard that the kings had come to fight against them; so every man, young and old, who could bear arms was called up and stationed on the border.

22. 아침에 모압 사람이 일찌기 일어나서 해가 물에 비취므로 맞은편 물이 붉어 피와 같음을 보고
  When they got up early in the morning, the sun was shining on the water. To the Moabites across the way, the water looked red--like blood.

23. 가로되 이는 피라 필연 저 왕들이 싸워 서로 죽인 것이로다 모압 사람들아 이제 노략하러 가자 하고
  "That's blood!" they said. "Those kings must have fought and slaughtered each other. Now to the plunder, Moab!"

24. 이스라엘 진에 이르니 이스라엘 사람이 일어나 모압 사람을 쳐서 그 앞에서 도망하게 하고 그 지경에 들어가며 모압 사람을 치고
  But when the Moabites came to the camp of Israel, the Israelites rose up and fought them until they fled. And the Israelites invaded the land and slaughtered the Moabites.

25. 그 성읍을 쳐서 헐고 각기 돌을 던져 모든 좋은 밭에 가득하게 하고 모든 샘을 메우고 모든 좋은 나무를 베고 길하레셋의 돌들은 남기고 물맷군이 두루 다니며 치니라
  They destroyed the towns, and each man threw a stone on every good field until it was covered. They stopped up all the springs and cut down every good tree. Only Kir Hareseth was left with its stones in place, but men armed with slings surrounded it and attacked it as well.

26. 모압 왕이 전세가 극렬하여 당하기 어려움을 보고 칼 찬 군사 칠백을 거느리고 충돌하여 지나서 에돔 왕에게로 가고자 하되 능히 못하고
  When the king of Moab saw that the battle had gone against him, he took with him seven hundred swordsmen to break through to the king of Edom, but they failed.

27. 이에 자기 위를 이어 왕이 될 맏아들을 취하여 성 위에서 번제를 드린지라 이스라엘에게 크게 통분함이 임하매 저희가 떠나 각기 고국으로 돌아갔더라
  Then he took his firstborn son, who was to succeed him as king, and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall. The fury against Israel was great; they withdrew and returned to their own land.

데살로니가후서 3

1. 종말로 형제들아 너희는 우리를 위하여 기도하기를 주의 말씀이 너희 가운데서와 같이 달음질하여 영광스럽게 되고
  Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.

2. 또한 우리를 무리하고 악한 사람들에게서 건지옵소서 하라 믿음은 모든 사람의 것이 아님이라
  And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.

3. 주는 미쁘사 너희를 굳게 하시고 악한 자에게서 지키시리라
  But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.

4. 너희에게 대하여는 우리의 명한 것을 너희가 행하고 또 행할 줄을 우리가 주 안에서 확신하노니
  We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command.

5. 주께서 너희 마음을 인도하여 하나님의 사랑과 그리스도의 인내에 들어가게 하시기를 원하노라
  May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

6. 형제들아 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 너희를 명하노니 규모 없이 행하고 우리에게 받은 유전대로 행하지 아니하는 모든 형제에게서 떠나라
  In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers, to keep away from every brother who is idle and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

7. 어떻게 우리를 본받아야 할 것을 너희가 스스로 아나니 우리가 너희 가운데서 규모 없이 행하지 아니하며
  For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you,

8. 누구에게서든지 양식을 값없이 먹지 않고 오직 수고하고 애써 주야로 일함은 너희 아무에게도 누를 끼치지 아니하려 함이니
  nor did we eat anyone's food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.

9. 우리에게 권리가 없는 것이 아니요 오직 스스로 너희에게 본을 주어 우리를 본받게 하려 함이니라
  We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to make ourselves a model for you to follow.

10. 우리가 너희와 함께 있을 때에도 너희에게 명하기를 누구든지 일하기 싫어하거든 먹지도 말게 하라 하였더니
  For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

11. 우리가 들은즉 너희 가운데 규모 없이 행하여 도무지 일하지 아니하고 일만 만드는 자들이 있다 하니
  We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies.

12. 이런 자들에게 우리가 명하고 주 예수 그리스도 안에서 권하기를 종용히 일하여 자기 양식을 먹으라 하노라
  Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat.

13. 형제들아 너희는 선을 행하다가 낙심치 말라
  And as for you, brothers, never tire of doing what is right.

14. 누가 이 편지에 한 우리 말을 순종치 아니하거든 그 사람을 지목하여 사귀지 말고 저로 하여금 부끄럽게 하라
  If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of him. Do not associate with him, in order that he may feel ashamed.

15. 그러나 원수와 같이 생각지 말고 형제같이 권하라
  Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.

16. 평강의 주께서 친히 때마다 일마다 너희에게 평강을 주시기를 원하노라 주는 너희 모든 사람과 함께 하실찌어다
  Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

17. 나 바울은 친필로 문안하노니 이는 편지마다 표적이기로 이렇게 쓰노라
  I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.

18. 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 너희 무리에게 있을찌어다
  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.

■ 혼자 읽기

다니엘 7

1. 바벨론 왕 벨사살 원년에 다니엘이 그 침상에서 꿈을 꾸며 뇌 속으로 이상을 받고 그 꿈을 기록하며 그 일의 대략을 진술하니라
  In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying on his bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.

2. 다니엘이 진술하여 가로되 내가 밤에 이상을 보았는데 하늘의 네 바람이 큰 바다로 몰려 불더니
  Daniel said: "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea.

3. 큰 짐승 넷이 바다에서 나왔는데 그 모양이 각각 다르니
  Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.

4. 첫째는 사자와 같은데 독수리의 날개가 있더니 내가 볼 사이에 그 날개가 뽑혔고 또 땅에서 들려서 사람처럼 두 발로 서게 함을 입었으며 또 사람의 마음을 받았으며
  "The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a man, and the heart of a man was given to it.

5. 다른 짐승 곧 둘째는 곰과 같은데 그것이 몸 한편을 들었고 그 입의 잇사이에는 세 갈빗대가 물렸는데 그에게 말하는 자가 있어 이르기를 일어나서 많은 고기를 먹으라 하였으며
  "And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, 'Get up and eat your fill of flesh!'

6. 그 후에 내가 또 본즉 다른 짐승 곧 표범과 같은 것이 있는데 그 등에는 새의 날개 넷이 있고 그 짐승에게 또 머리 넷이 있으며 또 권세를 받았으며
  "After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.

7. 내가 밤 이상 가운데 그 다음에 본 네째 짐승은 무섭고 놀라우며 또 극히 강하며 또 큰 철 이가 있어서 먹고 부숴뜨리고 그 나머지를 발로 밟았으며 이 짐승은 전의 모든 짐승과 다르고 또 열 뿔이 있으므로
  "After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast--terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.

8. 내가 그 뿔을 유심히 보는 중 다른 작은 뿔이 그 사이에서 나더니 먼저 뿔 중에 셋이 그 앞에 뿌리까지 뽑혔으며 이 작은 뿔에는 사람의 눈 같은 눈이 있고 또 입이 있어 큰 말을 하였느니라
  "While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

9. 내가 보았는데 왕좌가 놓이고 옛적부터 항상 계신 이가 좌정하셨는데 그 옷은 희기가 눈 같고 그 머리털은 깨끗한 양의 털 같고 그 보좌는 불꽃이요 그 바퀴는 붙는 불이며
  "As I looked, "thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze.

10. 불이 강처럼 흘러 그 앞에서 나오며 그에게 수종하는 자는 천천이요 그 앞에 시위한 자는 만만이며 심판을 베푸는데 책들이 펴 놓였더라
  A river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.

11. 그 때에 내가 그 큰 말하는 작은 뿔의 목소리로 인하여 주목하여 보는 사이에 짐승이 죽임을 당하고 그 시체가 상한 바 되어 붙는 불에 던진 바 되었으며
  "Then I continued to watch because of the boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.

12. 그 남은 모든 짐승은 그 권세를 빼았겼으나 그 생명은 보존되어 정한 시기가 이르기를 기다리게 되었더라
  (The other beasts had been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to live for a period of time.)

13. 내가 또 밤 이상 중에 보았는데 인자 같은 이가 하늘 구름을 타고 와서 옛적부터 항상 계신 자에게 나아와 그 앞에 인도되매
  "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.

14. 그에게 권세와 영광과 나라를 주고 모든 백성과 나라들과 각 방언하는 자로 그를 섬기게 하였으니 그 권세는 영원한 권세라 옮기지 아니할 것이요 그 나라는 폐하지 아니할 것이니라
  He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

15. 나 다니엘이 중심에 근심하며 내 뇌 속에 이상이 나로 번민케 한지라
  "I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the visions that passed through my mind disturbed me.

16. 내가 그 곁에 모신 자 중 하나에게 나아가서 이 모든 일의 진상을 물으매 그가 내게 고하여 그 일의 해석을 알게 하여 가로되
  I approached one of those standing there and asked him the true meaning of all this. "So he told me and gave me the interpretation of these things:

17. 그 네 큰 짐승은 네 왕이라 세상에 일어날 것이로되
  'The four great beasts are four kingdoms that will rise from the earth.

18. 지극히 높으신 자의 성도들이 나라를 얻으리니 그 누림이 영원하고 영원하고 영원하리라
  But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and will possess it forever--yes, for ever and ever.'

19. 이에 내가 네째 짐승의 진상을 알고자 하였으니 곧 그것은 모든 짐승과 달라서 심히 무섭고 그 이는 철이요 그 발톱은 놋이며 먹고 부숴뜨리고 나머지는 발로 밟았으며
  "Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws--the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left.

20. 또 그것의 머리에는 열 뿔이 있고 그 외에 또 다른 뿔이 나오매 세 뿔이 그 앞에 빠졌으며 그 뿔에는 눈도 있고 큰 말하는 입도 있고 그 모양이 동류보다 강하여 보인 것이라
  I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell--the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

21. 내가 본즉 이 뿔이 성도들로 더불어 싸워 이기었더니
  As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them,

22. 옛적부터 항상 계신 자가 와서 지극히 높으신 자의 성도를 위하여 신원하셨고 때가 이르매 성도가 나라를 얻었더라
  until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

23. 모신 자가 이처럼 이르되 네째 짐승은 곧 땅의 네째 나라인데 이는 모든 나라보다 달라서 천하를 삼키고 밟아 부숴뜨릴 것이며
  "He gave me this explanation: 'The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it.

24. 그 열 뿔은 이 나라에서 일어날 열 왕이요 그 후에 또 하나가 일어나리니 그는 먼저 있던 자들과 다르고 또 세 왕을 복종시킬 것이며
  The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings.

25. 그가 장차 말로 지극히 높으신 자를 대적하며 또 지극히 높으신 자의 성도를 괴롭게 할 것이며 그가 또 때와 법을 변개코자 할 것이며 성도는 그의 손에 붙인 바 되어 한 때와 두 때와 반 때를 지내리라
  He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.

26. 그러나 심판이 시작된즉 그는 권세를 빼앗기고 끝까지 멸망할 것이요
  "'But the court will sit, and his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.

27. 나라와 권세와 온 천하 열국의 위세가 지극히 높으신 자의 성민에게 붙인 바 되리니 그의 나라는 영원한 나라이라 모든 권세 있는 자가 다 그를 섬겨 복종하리라 하여
  Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.'

28. 그 말이 이에 그친지라 나 다니엘은 중심이 번민하였으며 내 낯빛이 변하였으나 내가 이 일을 마음에 감추었느니라
  "This is the end of the matter. I, Daniel, was deeply troubled by my thoughts, and my face turned pale, but I kept the matter to myself."

시편 114-115

1. 이스라엘이 애굽에서 나오며 야곱의 집이 방언 다른 민족에게서 나올 때에
  When Israel came out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of foreign tongue,

2. 유다는 여호와의 성소가 되고 이스라엘은 그의 영토가 되었도다
  Judah became God's sanctuary, Israel his dominion.

3. 바다는 이를 보고 도망하며 요단은 물러갔으며
  The sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back;

4. 산들은 수양 같이 뛰놀며 작은 산들은 어린 양 같이 뛰었도다
  the mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.

5. 바다야 네가 도망함은 어찜이며 요단아 네가 물러감은 어찜인고
  Why was it, O sea, that you fled, O Jordan, that you turned back,

6. 너희 산들아 수양 같이 뛰놀며 작은 산들아 어린 양 같이 뛰놂은 어찜인고
  you mountains, that you skipped like rams, you hills, like lambs?

7. 땅이여 너는 주 앞 곧 야곱의 하나님 앞에서 떨찌어다
  Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

8. 저가 반석을 변하여 못이 되게 하시며 차돌로 샘물이 되게 하셨도다
  who turned the rock into a pool, the hard rock into springs of water.

1. 여호와여 영광을 우리에게 돌리지 마옵소서 우리에게 돌리지 마옵소서 오직 주의 인자하심과 진실하심을 인하여 주의 이름에 돌리소서
  Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

2. 어찌하여 열방으로 저희 하나님이 이제 어디 있느냐 말하게 하리이까
  Why do the nations say, "Where is their God?"

3. 오직 우리 하나님은 하늘에 계셔서 원하시는 모든 것을 행하셨나이다
  Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

4. 저희 우상은 은과 금이요 사람의 수공물이라
  But their idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.

5. 입이 있어도 말하지 못하며 눈이 있어도 보지 못하며
  They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see;

6. 귀가 있어도 듣지 못하며 코가 있어도 맡지 못하며
  they have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but they cannot smell;

7. 손이 있어도 만지지 못하며 발이 있어도 걷지 못하며 목구멍으로 소리도 못하느니라
  they have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but they cannot walk; nor can they utter a sound with their throats.

8. 우상을 만드는 자와 그것을 의지하는 자가 다 그와 같으리로다
  Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

9. 이스라엘아 여호와를 의지하라 그는 너희 도움이시요 너희 방패시로다
  O house of Israel, trust in the LORD--he is their help and shield.

10. 아론의 집이여 여호와를 의지하라 그는 너희 도움이시요 너희 방패시로다
  O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD--he is their help and shield.

11. 여호와를 경외하는 너희는 여호와를 의지하라 그는 너희 도움이시요 너희 방패시로다
  You who fear him, trust in the LORD--he is their help and shield.

12. 여호와께서 우리를 생각하사 복을 주시되 이스라엘 집에도 복을 주시고 아론의 집에도 복을 주시며
  The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless the house of Israel, he will bless the house of Aaron,

13. 대소 무론하고 여호와를 경외하는 자에게 복을 주시리로다
  he will bless those who fear the LORD--small and great alike.

14. 여호와께서 너희 곧 너희와 또 너희 자손을 더욱 번창케 하시기를 원하노라
  May the LORD make you increase, both you and your children.

15. 너희는 천지를 지으신 여호와께 복을 받는 자로다
  May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

16. 하늘은 여호와의 하늘이라도 땅은 인생에게 주셨도다
  The highest heavens belong to the LORD, but the earth he has given to man.

17. 죽은 자가 여호와를 찬양하지 못하나니 적막한 데 내려가는 아무도 못하리로다
  It is not the dead who praise the LORD, those who go down to silence;

18. 우리는 이제부터 영원까지 여호와를 송축하리로다 할렐루야
  it is we who extol the LORD, both now and forevermore. Praise the LORD.
