열왕기상 6

1. 이스라엘 자손이 애굽 땅에서 나온 지 사백팔십 년이요 솔로몬이 이스라엘 왕이 된 지 사 년 시브월 곧 이월에 솔로몬이 여호와를 위하여 전 건축하기를 시작하였더라
  In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites had come out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the temple of the LORD.

2. 솔로몬 왕이 여호와를 위하여 건축한 전은 장이 육십 규빗이요 광이 이십 규빗이요 고가 삼십 규빗이며
  The temple that King Solomon built for the LORD was sixty cubits long, twenty wide and thirty high.

3. 전의 성소 앞 낭실의 장은 전의 광과 같이 이십 규빗이요 그 광은 전 앞에서부터 십 규빗이며
  The portico at the front of the main hall of the temple extended the width of the temple, that is twenty cubits, and projected ten cubits from the front of the temple.

4. 전을 위하여 붙박이 교창을 내고
  He made narrow clerestory windows in the temple.

5. 또 전의 벽 곧 성소와 지성소의 벽에 연접하여 돌아가며 다락들을 건축하되 다락마다 돌아가며 골방들을 만들었으니
  Against the walls of the main hall and inner sanctuary he built a structure around the building, in which there were side rooms.

6. 하층 다락의 광은 다섯 규빗이요 중층 다락의 광은 여섯 규빗이요 제 삼층 다락의 광은 일곱 규빗이라 전의 벽 바깥으로 돌아가며 턱을 내어 골방 들보들로 전의 벽에 박히지 않게 하였으며
  The lowest floor was five cubits wide, the middle floor six cubits and the third floor seven. He made offset ledges around the outside of the temple so that nothing would be inserted into the temple walls.

7. 이 전은 건축할 때에 돌을 뜨는 곳에서 치석하고 가져다가 건축하였으므로 건축하는 동안에 전 속에서는 방망이나 도끼나 모든 철 연장 소리가 들리지 아니하였으며
  In building the temple, only blocks dressed at the quarry were used, and no hammer, chisel or any other iron tool was heard at the temple site while it was being built.

8. 중층 골방의 문은 전 오른편에 있는데 나사모양 사닥다리로 말미암아 하층에서 중층에 오르고 중층에서 제 삼층에 오르게 하였더라
  The entrance to the lowest floor was on the south side of the temple; a stairway led up to the middle level and from there to the third.

9. 전의 건축이 마치니라 그 전은 백향목 서까래와 널판으로 덮었고
  So he built the temple and completed it, roofing it with beams and cedar planks.

10. 또 온 전으로 돌아가며 고가 다섯 규빗 되는 다락방을 건축하되 백향목 들보로 전에 연접하게 하였더라
  And he built the side rooms all along the temple. The height of each was five cubits, and they were attached to the temple by beams of cedar.

11. 여호와의 말씀이 솔로몬에게 임하여 가라사대
  The word of the LORD came to Solomon:

12. 네가 이제 이 전을 건축하니 네가 만일 내 법도를 따르며 내 율례를 행하며 나의 모든 계명을 지켜 그대로 행하면 내가 네 아비 다윗에게 한 말을 네게 확실히 이룰 것이요
  "As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father.

13. 내가 또한 이스라엘 자손 가운데 거하며 내 백성 이스라엘을 버리지 아니하리라 하셨더라
  And I will live among the Israelites and will not abandon my people Israel."

14. 솔로몬이 전 건축하기를 마치고
  So Solomon built the temple and completed it.

15. 백향목 널판으로 전의 안벽 곧 전 마루에서 천장까지의 벽에 입히고 또 잣나무 널판으로 전 마루를 놓고
  He lined its interior walls with cedar boards, paneling them from the floor of the temple to the ceiling, and covered the floor of the temple with planks of pine.

16. 또 전 뒤편에서부터 이십 규빗 되는 곳에 마루에서 천장까지 백향목 널판으로 가로막아 전의 내소 곧 지성소를 만들었으며
  He partitioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the temple with cedar boards from floor to ceiling to form within the temple an inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place.

17. 내소 앞에 있는 외소 곧 성소의 장이 사십 규빗이며
  The main hall in front of this room was forty cubits long.

18. 전 안에 입힌 백향목에는 박과 핀 꽃을 아로새겼고 모두 백향목이라 돌이 보이지 아니하며
  The inside of the temple was cedar, carved with gourds and open flowers. Everything was cedar; no stone was to be seen.

19. 여호와의 언약궤를 두기 위하여 전 안에 내소를 예비하였는데
  He prepared the inner sanctuary within the temple to set the ark of the covenant of the LORD there.

20. 그 내소의 속이 장이 이십 규빗이요 광이 이십 규빗이요 고가 이십 규빗이라 정금으로 입혔고 백향목 단에도 입혔더라
  The inner sanctuary was twenty cubits long, twenty wide and twenty high. He overlaid the inside with pure gold, and he also overlaid the altar of cedar.

21. 솔로몬이 정금으로 외소 안에 입히고 내소 앞에 금사슬로 건너지르고 내소를 금으로 입히고
  Solomon covered the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he extended gold chains across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was overlaid with gold.

22. 온 전을 금으로 입히기를 마치고 내소에 속한 단의 전부를 금으로 입혔더라
  So he overlaid the whole interior with gold. He also overlaid with gold the altar that belonged to the inner sanctuary.

23. 내소 안에 감람목으로 두 그룹을 만들었는데 그 고가 각각 십 규빗이라
  In the inner sanctuary he made a pair of cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high.

24. 한 그룹의 이 날개는 다섯 규빗이요 저 날개도 다섯 규빗이니 이 날개 끝으로부터 저 날개 끝까지 십 규빗이며
  One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long, and the other wing five cubits--ten cubits from wing tip to wing tip.

25. 다른 그룹도 십 규빗이니 그 두 그룹은 한 척수, 한 모양이요
  The second cherub also measured ten cubits, for the two cherubim were identical in size and shape.

26. 이 그룹의 고가 십 규빗이요 저 그룹도 일반이라
  The height of each cherub was ten cubits.

27. 솔로몬이 내소 가운데 그룹을 두었으니 그룹들의 날개가 폐었는데 이 그룹의 날개는 이 벽에 닿았고 저 그룹의 날개는 저 벽에 닿았으며 두 날개는 전의 중앙에서 서로 닿았더라
  He placed the cherubim inside the innermost room of the temple, with their wings spread out. The wing of one cherub touched one wall, while the wing of the other touched the other wall, and their wings touched each other in the middle of the room.

28. 저가 금으로 그룹에 입혔더라
  He overlaid the cherubim with gold.

29. 내외소 사면 벽에는 모두 그룹들과 종려와 핀 꽃 형상을 아로새겼고
  On the walls all around the temple, in both the inner and outer rooms, he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers.

30. 내외 전 마루에는 금으로 입혔으며
  He also covered the floors of both the inner and outer rooms of the temple with gold.

31. 내소에 들어가는 곳에는 감람목으로 문을 만들었는데 그 문 인방과 문설주는 벽의 오분지 일이요
  For the entrance of the inner sanctuary he made doors of olive wood with five-sided jambs.

32. 감람목으로 만든 그 두 문짝에 그룹과 종려와 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 금으로 입히되 곧 그룹들과 종려에 금으로 입혔더라
  And on the two olive wood doors he carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid the cherubim and palm trees with beaten gold.

33. 또 외소의 문을 위하여 감람목으로 문설주를 만들었으니 곧 벽의 사분지 일이며
  In the same way he made four-sided jambs of olive wood for the entrance to the main hall.

34. 그 두 문짝은 잣나무라 이 문짝도 두 짝으로 접게 되었고 저 문짝도 두 짝으로 접게 되었으며
  He also made two pine doors, each having two leaves that turned in sockets.

35. 그 문짝에 그룹들과 종려와 핀 꽃을 아로새기고 금으로 입히되 그 새긴 데 맞게 하였고
  He carved cherubim, palm trees and open flowers on them and overlaid them with gold hammered evenly over the carvings.

36. 또 다듬은 돌 세 켜와 백향목 두꺼운 판자 한 켜로 둘러 안뜰을 만들었더라
  And he built the inner courtyard of three courses of dressed stone and one course of trimmed cedar beams.

37. 제 사 년 시브월에 여호와의 전 기초를 쌓았고
  The foundation of the temple of the LORD was laid in the fourth year, in the month of Ziv.

38. 제 십일 년 불월 곧 팔월에 그 설계와 식양대로 전이 다 필역되었으니 솔로몬이 전을 건축한 동안이 칠 년이었더라
  In the eleventh year in the month of Bul, the eighth month, the temple was finished in all its details according to its specifications. He had spent seven years building it.

에베소서 3

1. 이러하므로 그리스도 예수의 일로 너희 이방을 위하여 갇힌 자 된 나 바울은......
  For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles--

2. 너희를 위하여 내게 주신 하나님의 그 은혜의 경륜을 너희가 들었을 터이라
  Surely you have heard about the administration of God's grace that was given to me for you,

3. 곧 계시로 내게 비밀을 알게 하신 것은 내가 이미 대강 기록함과 같으니
  that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

4. 이것을 읽으면 그리스도의 비밀을 내가 깨달은 것을 너희가 알 수 있으리라
  In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,

5. 이제 그의 거룩한 사도들과 선지자들에게 성령으로 나타내신 것같이 다른 세대에서는 사람의 아들들에게 알게 하지 아니하셨으니
  which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets.

6. 이는 이방인들이 복음으로 말미암아 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 후사가 되고 함께 지체가 되고 함께 약속에 참예하는 자가 됨이라
  This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

7. 이 복음을 위하여 그의 능력이 역사하시는대로 내게 주신 하나님의 은혜의 선물을 따라 내가 일군이 되었노라
  I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God's grace given me through the working of his power.

8. 모든 성도 중에 지극히 작은 자보다 더 작은 나에게 이 은혜를 주신 것은 측량할 수 없는 그리스도의 풍성을 이방인에게 전하게 하시고
  Although I am less than the least of all God's people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

9. 영원부터 만물을 창조하신 하나님 속에 감취었던 비밀의 경륜이 어떠한 것을 드러내게 하려 하심이라
  and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.

10. 이는 이제 교회로 말미암아 하늘에서 정사와 권세들에게 하나님의 각종 지혜를 알게 하려 하심이니
  His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

11. 곧 영원부터 우리 주 그리스도 예수 안에서 예정하신 뜻대로 하신 것이라
  according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

12. 우리가 그 안에서 그를 믿음으로 말미암아 담대함과 하나님께 당당히 나아감을 얻느니라
  In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

13. 그러므로 너희에게 구하노니 너희를 위한 나의 여러 환난에 대하여 낙심치 말라 이는 너희의 영광이니라
  I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.

14. 이러하므로 내가 하늘과 땅에 있는 각 족속에게
  For this reason I kneel before the Father,

15. 이름을 주신 아버지 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 비노니
  from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.

16. 그 영광의 풍성을 따라 그의 성령으로 말미암아 너희 속 사람을 능력으로 강건하게 하옵시며
  I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

17. 믿음으로 말미암아 그리스도께서 너희 마음에 계시게 하옵시고 너희가 사랑 가운데서 뿌리가 박히고 터가 굳어져서
  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,

18. 능히 모든 성도와 함께 지식에 넘치는 그리스도의 사랑을 알아
  may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

19. 그 넓이와 길이와 높이와 깊이가 어떠함을 깨달아 하나님의 모든 충만하신 것으로 너희에게 충만하게 하시기를 구하노라
  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20. 우리 가운데서 역사하시는 능력대로 우리의 온갖 구하는 것이나 생각하는 것에 더 넘치도록 능히 하실 이에게
  Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

21. 교회 안에서와 그리스도 예수 안에서 영광이 대대로 영원 무궁하기를 원하노라 아멘
  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

에스겔 36

1. 인자야 너는 이스라엘 산들에게 예언하여 이르기를 이스라엘 산들아 여호와의 말씀을 들으라
  "Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, 'O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.

2. 주 여호와의 말씀에 대적이 네게 대하여 말하기를 하하 옛적 높은 곳이 우리의 기업이 되었도다 하였느니라
  This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The enemy said of you, "Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession." '

3. 그러므로 너는 예언하여 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 그들이 너희를 황무케 하고 너희 사방을 삼켜서 너희로 남은 이방인의 기업이 되게 하여 사람의 말거리와 백성의 비방거리가 되게 하였도다
  Therefore prophesy and say, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because they ravaged and hounded you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people's malicious talk and slander,

4. 그러므로 이스라엘 산들아 주 여호와의 말씀을 들을찌어다 주 여호와께서 산들과 멧부리들과 시내들과 골짜기들과 황무한 사막들과 사면에 남아 있는 이방인의 노략거리와 조롱거리가 된 버린 성읍들에게 말씀하셨느니라
  therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign LORD: This is what the Sovereign LORD says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the desolate ruins and the deserted towns that have been plundered and ridiculed by the rest of the nations around you--

5. 주 여호와의 말씀에 내가 진실로 내 맹렬한 투기로 남아 있는 이방인과 에돔 온 땅을 쳐서 말하였노니 이는 그들이 심히 즐거워하는 마음과 멸시하는 심령으로 내 땅을 빼앗아 노략하여 자기 소유를 삼았음이니라
  this is what the Sovereign LORD says: In my burning zeal I have spoken against the rest of the nations, and against all Edom, for with glee and with malice in their hearts they made my land their own possession so that they might plunder its pastureland.'

6. 그러므로 너는 이스라엘 땅을 대하여 예언하되 그 산들과 멧부리들과 시내들과 골짜기들을 대하여 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 내가 내 투기와 내 분노로 말하였나니 이는 너희가 이방의 수욕을 당하였음이니라
  Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I speak in my jealous wrath because you have suffered the scorn of the nations.

7. 그러므로 주 여호와의 말씀에 내가 맹세하였은즉 너희 사면에 있는 이방인이 자기 수욕을 정녕 당하리라
  Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I swear with uplifted hand that the nations around you will also suffer scorn.

8. 그러나 너희 이스라엘 산들아 너희는 가지를 내고 내 백성 이스라엘을 위하여 과실을 맺으리니 그들의 올 때가 가까이 이르렀음이니라
  "'But you, O mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home.

9. 내가 돌이켜 너희와 함께 하리니 사람이 너희를 갈고 심을 것이며
  I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown,

10. 내가 또 사람을 너희 위에 많게 하리니 이들은 이스라엘 온 족속이라 그들로 성읍들에 거하게 하며 빈 땅에 건축하게 하리라
  and I will multiply the number of people upon you, even the whole house of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.

11. 내가 너희 위에 사람과 짐승으로 많게 하되 생육이 중다하고 번성하게 할 것이라 너희 전 지위대로 사람이 거하게 하여 너희를 처음보다 낫게 대접하리니 너희가 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라
  I will increase the number of men and animals upon you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

12. 내가 사람으로 너희 위에 행하게 하리니 그들은 내 백성 이스라엘이라 그들은 너를 얻고 너는 그 기업이 되어 다시는 그들로 자식들을 잃어버리지 않게 하리라
  I will cause people, my people Israel, to walk upon you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance; you will never again deprive them of their children.

13. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 그들이 너희에게 이르기를 너는 사람을 삼키는 자요 네 나라 백성을 제한 자라 하거니와
  "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Because people say to you, "You devour men and deprive your nation of its children,"

14. 네가 다시는 사람을 삼키지 아니하며 다시는 네 나라 백성을 제하지 아니하리라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라
  therefore you will no longer devour men or make your nation childless, declares the Sovereign LORD.

15. 내가 또 너로 열국의 수욕을 듣지 않게 하며 만민의 비방을 다시 받지 않게 하며 네 나라 백성을 다시 넘어뜨리지 않게 하리라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라 하셨다 하라
  No longer will I make you hear the taunts of the nations, and no longer will you suffer the scorn of the peoples or cause your nation to fall, declares the Sovereign LORD.'"

16. 여호와의 말씀이 또 내게 임하여 가라사대
  Again the word of the LORD came to me:

17. 인자야 이스라엘 족속이 그 고토에 거할 때에 그 행위로 그 땅을 더럽혔나니 나 보기에 그 소위가 월경 중에 있는 여인의 부정함과 같았느니라
  "Son of man, when the people of Israel were living in their own land, they defiled it by their conduct and their actions. Their conduct was like a woman's monthly uncleanness in my sight.

18. 그들이 땅 위에 피를 쏟았으며 그 우상들로 더럽혔으므로 내가 분노를 그들의 위에 쏟아
  So I poured out my wrath on them because they had shed blood in the land and because they had defiled it with their idols.

19. 그들을 그 행위대로 심판하여 각국에 흩으며 열방에 헤쳤더니
  I dispersed them among the nations, and they were scattered through the countries; I judged them according to their conduct and their actions.

20. 그들의 이른 바 그 열국에서 내 거룩한 이름이 그들로 인하여 더러워졌나니 곧 사람들이 그들을 가리켜 이르기를 이들은 여호와의 백성이라도 여호와의 땅에서 떠난 자라 하였음이니라
  And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them, 'These are the LORD'S people, and yet they had to leave his land.'

21. 그러나 이스라엘 족속이 들어간 그 열국에서 더럽힌 내 거룩한 이름을 내가 아꼈노라
  I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.

22. 그러므로 너는 이스라엘 족속에게 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 이스라엘 족속아 내가 이렇게 행함은 너희를 위함이 아니요 너희가 들어간 그 열국에서 더럽힌 나의 거룩한 이름을 위함이라
  "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.

23. 열국 가운데서 더럽힘을 받은 이름 곧 너희가 그들 중에서 더럽힌 나의 큰 이름을 내가 거룩하게 할찌라 내가 그들의 목전에서 너희로 인하여 나의 거룩함을 나타내리니 열국 사람이 나를 여호와인줄 알리라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라
  I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Sovereign LORD, when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.

24. 내가 너희를 열국 중에서 취하여 내고 열국 중에서 모아 데리고 고토에 들어가서
  "'For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.

25. 맑은 물로 너희에게 뿌려서 너희로 정결케 하되 곧 너희 모든 더러운 것에서와 모든 우상을 섬김에서 너희를 정결케 할 것이며
  I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.

26. 또 새 영을 너희 속에 두고 새 마음을 너희에게 주되 너희 육신에서 굳은 마음을 제하고 부드러운 마음을 줄 것이며
  I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

27. 또 내 신을 너희 속에 두어 너희로 내 율례를 행하게 하리니 너희가 내 규례를 지켜 행할찌라
  And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

28. 내가 너희 열조에게 준 땅에 너희가 거하여 내 백성이 되고 나는 너희 하나님이 되리라
  You will live in the land I gave your forefathers; you will be my people, and I will be your God.

29. 내가 너희를 모든 더러운 데서 구원하고 곡식으로 풍성하게 하여 기근이 너희에게 임하지 아니하게 할 것이며
  I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and make it plentiful and will not bring famine upon you.

30. 또 나무의 실과와 밭의 소산을 풍성케 하여 너희로 다시는 기근의 욕을 열국에게 받지 않게 하리니
  I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field, so that you will no longer suffer disgrace among the nations because of famine.

31. 그 때에 너희가 너희 악한 길과 너희 불선한 행위를 기억하고 너희 모든 죄악과 가증한 일을 인하여 스스로 밉게 보리라
  Then you will remember your evil ways and wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices.

32. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 이렇게 행함은 너희를 위함이 아닌줄을 너희가 알리라 이스라엘 족속아 너희 행위를 인하여 부끄러워하고 한탄할찌어다
  I want you to know that I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Sovereign LORD. Be ashamed and disgraced for your conduct, O house of Israel!

33. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 너희를 모든 죄악에서 정결케 하는 날에 성읍들에 사람이 거접되게 하며 황폐한 것이 건축되게 할 것인즉
  "'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt.

34. 전에는 지나가는 자의 눈에 황무하게 보이던 그 황무한 땅이 장차 기경이 될찌라
  The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of all who pass through it.

35. 사람이 이르기를 이 땅이 황무하더니 이제는 에덴 동산같이 되었고 황량하고 적막하고 무너진 성읍들에 성벽과 거민이 있다 하리니
  They will say, "This land that was laid waste has become like the garden of Eden; the cities that were lying in ruins, desolate and destroyed, are now fortified and inhabited."

36. 너희 사면에 남은 이방 사람이 나 여호와가 무너진 곳을 건축하며 황무한 자리에 심은 줄 알리라 나 여호와가 말하였으니 이루리라
  Then the nations around you that remain will know that I the LORD have rebuilt what was destroyed and have replanted what was desolate. I the LORD have spoken, and I will do it.'

37. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 그래도 이스라엘 족속이 이와 같이 자기들에게 이루어 주기를 내게 구하여야 할찌라 내가 그들의 인수로 양떼 같이 많아지게 하되
  "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Once again I will yield to the plea of the house of Israel and do this for them: I will make their people as numerous as sheep,

38. 제사드릴 양 떼 곧 예루살렘 정한 절기의 양 떼같이 황폐한 성읍에 사람의 떼로 채우리라 그리한즉 그들이 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라 하셨느니라
  as numerous as the flocks for offerings at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts. So will the ruined cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the LORD."

시편 86

1. 여호와여 나는 곤고하고 궁핍하오니 귀를 기울여 내게 응답하소서
  A prayer of David. Hear, O LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.

2. 나는 경건하오니 내 영혼을 보존하소서 내 주 하나님이여 주를 의지하는 종을 구원하소서
  Guard my life, for I am devoted to you. You are my God; save your servant who trusts in you.

3. 주여 나를 긍휼히 여기소서 내가 종일 주께 부르짖나이다
  Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I call to you all day long.

4. 주여 내 영혼이 주를 우러러 보오니 주여 내 영혼을 기쁘게 하소서
  Bring joy to your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.

5. 주는 선하사 사유하기를 즐기시며 주께 부르짖는 자에게 인자함이 후하심이니이다
  You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you.

6. 여호와여 나의 기도에 귀를 기울이시고 나의 간구하는 소리를 들으소서
  Hear my prayer, O LORD; listen to my cry for mercy.

7. 나의 환난 날에 내가 주께 부르짖으리니 주께서 내게 응답하시리이다
  In the day of my trouble I will call to you, for you will answer me.

8. 주여 신들 중에 주와 같은 자 없사오며 주의 행사와 같음도 없나이다
  Among the gods there is none like you, O Lord; no deeds can compare with yours.

9. 주여 주의 지으신 모든 열방이 와서 주의 앞에 경배하며 주의 이름에 영화를 돌리리이다
  All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, O Lord; they will bring glory to your name.

10. 대저 주는 광대하사 기사를 행하시오니 주만 하나님이시니이다
  For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.

11. 여호와여 주의 도로 내게 가르치소서 내가 주의 진리에 행하오리니 일심으로 주의 이름을 경외하게 하소서
  Teach me your way, O LORD, and I will walk in your truth; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.

12. 주 나의 하나님이여 내가 전심으로 주를 찬송하고 영영토록 주의 이름에 영화를 돌리오리니
  I will praise you, O Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever.

13. 이는 내게 향하신 주의 인자가 크사 내 영혼을 깊은 음부에서 건지셨음이니이다
  For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths of the grave.

14. 하나님이여 교만한 자가 일어나 나를 치고 강포한 자의 무리가 내 혼을 찾았사오며 자기 앞에 주를 두지 아니하였나이다
  The arrogant are attacking me, O God; a band of ruthless men seeks my life--men without regard for you.

15. 그러나 주여 주는 긍휼히 여기시며 은혜를 베푸시며 노하기를 더디 하시며 인자와 진실이 풍성하신 하나님이시오니
  But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.

16. 내게로 돌이키사 나를 긍휼히 여기소서 주의 종에게 힘을 주시고 주의 여종의 아들을 구원하소서
  Turn to me and have mercy on me; grant your strength to your servant and save the son of your maidservant.

17. 은총의 표징을 내게 보이소서 그러면 나를 미워하는 저희가 보고 부끄러워하오리니 여호와여 주는 나를 돕고 위로하심이니이다
  Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me.
