사무엘하 2

1. 그 후에 다윗이 여호와께 물어 가로되 내가 유다 한 성으로 올라 가리이까 여호와께서 가라사대 올라가라 다윗이 가로되 어디로 가리이까 가라사대 헤브론으로 갈찌니라
  In the course of time, David inquired of the LORD. "Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?" he asked. The LORD said, "Go up." David asked, "Where shall I go?" "To Hebron," the LORD answered.

2. 다윗이 그 두 아내 이스르엘 여인 아히노암과 갈멜 사람 나발의 아내 되었던 아비가일을 데리고 그리로 올라갈 때에
  So David went up there with his two wives, Ahinoam of Jezreel and Abigail, the widow of Nabal of Carmel.

3. 또 자기와 함께한 종자들과 그들의 권속들을 다 데리고 올라가서 헤브론 각 성에 거하게 하니라
  David also took the men who were with him, each with his family, and they settled in Hebron and its towns.

4. 유다 사람들이 와서 거기서 다윗에게 기름을 부어 유다 족속의 왕을 삼았더라 혹이 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 사울을 장사한 사람은 길르앗 야베스 사람들이니이다 하매
  Then the men of Judah came to Hebron and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. When David was told that it was the men of Jabesh Gilead who had buried Saul,

5. 다윗이 길르앗 야베스 사람들에게 사자들을 보내어 가로되 너희가 너희 주 사울에게 이처럼 은혜를 베풀어 장사하였으니 여호와께 복을 받을찌어다
  he sent messengers to the men of Jabesh Gilead to say to them, "The LORD bless you for showing this kindness to Saul your master by burying him.

6. 너희가 이 일을 하였으니 이제 여호와께서 은혜와 진리로 너희에게 베푸시기를 원하고 나도 이 선한 일을 너희에게 갚으리니
  May the LORD now show you kindness and faithfulness, and I too will show you the same favor because you have done this.

7. 이제 너희는 손을 강하게 하고 담대히 할찌어다 너희 주 사울이 죽었고 또 유다 족속이 내게 기름을 부어 저희의 왕을 삼았음이니라
  Now then, be strong and brave, for Saul your master is dead, and the house of Judah has anointed me king over them."

8. 사울의 군장 넬의 아들 아브넬이 이미 사울의 아들 이스보셋을 데리고 마하나임으로 건너가서
  Meanwhile, Abner son of Ner, the commander of Saul's army, had taken Ish-Bosheth son of Saul and brought him over to Mahanaim.

9. 길르앗과 아술과 이스르엘과 에브라임과 베냐민과 온 이스라엘의 왕을 삼았더라
  He made him king over Gilead, Ashuri and Jezreel, and also over Ephraim, Benjamin and all Israel.

10. 사울의 아들 이스보셋이 비로소 이스라엘 왕이 될 때에 나이 사십 세며 두 해 동안 위에 있으니라 유다 족속은 다윗을 따르니
  Ish-Bosheth son of Saul was forty years old when he became king over Israel, and he reigned two years. The house of Judah, however, followed David.

11. 다윗이 헤브론에서 유다 족속의 왕이 된 날 수는 일곱 해 여섯 달이더라
  The length of time David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months.

12. 넬의 아들 아브넬과 사울의 아들 이스보셋의 신복들은 마하나임에서 나와서 기브온에 이르고
  Abner son of Ner, together with the men of Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, left Mahanaim and went to Gibeon.

13. 스루야의 아들 요압과 다윗의 신복들도 나와서 기브온 못가에서 저희를 만나 앉으니 이는 못 이편이요 저는 못 저편이라
  Joab son of Zeruiah and David's men went out and met them at the pool of Gibeon. One group sat down on one side of the pool and one group on the other side.

14. 아브넬이 요압에게 이르되 청컨대 소년들로 일어나서 우리 앞에서 장난하게 하자 요압이 가로되 일어나게 하자 하매
  Then Abner said to Joab, "Let's have some of the young men get up and fight hand to hand in front of us." "All right, let them do it," Joab said.

15. 저희가 일어나 그 수효대로 나아가니 베냐민과 사울의 아들 이스보셋의 편에 열둘이요 다윗의 신복 중에 열둘이라
  So they stood up and were counted off--twelve men for Benjamin and Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, and twelve for David.

16. 각기 적수의 머리를 잡고 칼로 적수의 옆구리를 찌르매 일제히 쓰러진지라 그러므로 그 곳을 헬갓핫수림이라 일컬었으며 기브온에 있더라
  Then each man grabbed his opponent by the head and thrust his dagger into his opponent's side, and they fell down together. So that place in Gibeon was called Helkath Hazzurim.

17. 그 날에 싸움이 심히 맹렬하더니 아브넬과 이스라엘 사람들이 다윗의 신복들 앞에서 패하니라
  The battle that day was very fierce, and Abner and the men of Israel were defeated by David's men.

18. 그 곳에 스루야의 세 아들 요압과 아비새와 아사헬이 있었는데 아사헬의 발은 들노루같이 빠르더라
  The three sons of Zeruiah were there: Joab, Abishai and Asahel. Now Asahel was as fleet-footed as a wild gazelle.

19. 아사헬이 아브넬을 쫓아 달려가되 좌우로 치우치지 않고 아브넬의 뒤를 쫓으니
  He chased Abner, turning neither to the right nor to the left as he pursued him.

20. 아브넬이 뒤를 돌아보며 가로되 아사헬아 너냐 대답하되 내로라
  Abner looked behind him and asked, "Is that you, Asahel?" "It is," he answered.

21. 아브넬이 저에게 이르되 너는 좌편으로나 우편으로나 치우쳐서 소년 하나를 잡아 그 군복을 빼앗으라 하되 아사헬이 치우치기를 원치 않고 그 뒤를 쫓으매
  Then Abner said to him, "Turn aside to the right or to the left; take on one of the young men and strip him of his weapons." But Asahel would not stop chasing him.

22. 아브넬이 다시 아사헬에게 이르되 너는 나 쫓기를 그치라 내가 너를 쳐서 땅에 엎드러지게 할 까닭이 무엇이냐 그렇게 하면 내가 어떻게 네 형 요압을 대면하겠느냐 하되
  Again Abner warned Asahel, "Stop chasing me! Why should I strike you down? How could I look your brother Joab in the face?"

23. 저가 치우치기를 싫어하매 아브넬이 창 뒤끝으로 그 배를 찌르니 창이 그 등을 꿰뚫고 나간지라 곧 그 곳에 엎드러져 죽으매 아사헬의 엎드러져 죽은 곳에 이르는 자마다 머물러 섰더라
  But Asahel refused to give up the pursuit; so Abner thrust the butt of his spear into Asahel's stomach, and the spear came out through his back. He fell there and died on the spot. And every man stopped when he came to the place where Asahel had fallen and died.

24. 요압과 아비새가 아브넬의 뒤를 쫓아 기브온 거친 땅의 길가 기아 맞은편 암마 산에 이를 때에 해가 졌고
  But Joab and Abishai pursued Abner, and as the sun was setting, they came to the hill of Ammah, near Giah on the way to the wasteland of Gibeon.

25. 베냐민 족속은 함께 모여 아브넬을 따라 한 떼를 이루고 작은 산꼭대기에 섰더라
  Then the men of Benjamin rallied behind Abner. They formed themselves into a group and took their stand on top of a hill.

26. 아브넬이 요압에게 외쳐 가로되 칼이 영영히 사람을 상하겠느냐 마침내 참혹한 일이 생길 줄을 알지 못하느냐 네가 언제나 무리에게 그 형제 쫓기를 그치라 명하겠느냐
  Abner called out to Joab, "Must the sword devour forever? Don't you realize that this will end in bitterness? How long before you order your men to stop pursuing their brothers?"

27. 요압이 가로되 하나님이 사시거니와 네가 흔단의 말을 내지 아니하였더면 무리가 아침에 다 돌아갔을 것이요 그 형제를 쫓지 아니하였으리라 하고
  Joab answered, "As surely as God lives, if you had not spoken, the men would have continued the pursuit of their brothers until morning."

28. 나팔을 불매 온 무리가 머물러 서고 다시는 이스라엘을 쫓아가지 아니하고 다시는 싸우지도 아니하니라
  So Joab blew the trumpet, and all the men came to a halt; they no longer pursued Israel, nor did they fight anymore.

29. 아브넬과 그 종자들이 밤새도록 행하여 아라바를 지나 요단을 건너 비드론 온 땅을 지나 마하나임에 이르니라
  All that night Abner and his men marched through the Arabah. They crossed the Jordan, continued through the whole Bithron and came to Mahanaim.

30. 요압이 아브넬 쫓기를 그치고 돌아와서 무리를 다 모으니 다윗의 신복 중에 십구 인과 아사헬이 궐이 났으나
  Then Joab returned from pursuing Abner and assembled all his men. Besides Asahel, nineteen of David's men were found missing.

31. 다윗의 신복들이 베냐민과 아브넬에게 속한 자들을 쳐서 삼백 륙십명을 죽였더라
  But David's men had killed three hundred and sixty Benjamites who were with Abner.

32. 무리가 아사헬을 베들레헴에 있는 그 아비 묘에 장사하고 요압과 그 종자들이 밤새도록 행하여 헤브론에 이를 때에 날이 밝았더라
  They took Asahel and buried him in his father's tomb at Bethlehem. Then Joab and his men marched all night and arrived at Hebron by daybreak.

고린도전서 13

1. 내가 사람의 방언과 천사의 말을 할찌라도 사랑이 없으면 소리나는 구리와 울리는 꽹과리가 되고
  If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

2. 내가 예언하는 능이 있어 모든 비밀과 모든 지식을 알고 또 산을 옮길만한 모든 믿음이 있을찌라도 사랑이 없으면 내가 아무것도 아니요
  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

3. 내가 내게 있는 모든 것으로 구제하고 또 내 몸을 불사르게 내어 줄찌라도 사랑이 없으면 내게 아무 유익이 없느니라
  If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

4. 사랑은 오래 참고 사랑은 온유하며 투기하는 자가 되지 아니하며 사랑은 자랑하지 아니하며 교만하지 아니하며
  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5. 무례히 행치 아니하며 자기의 유익을 구치 아니하며 성내지 아니하며 악한 것을 생각지 아니하며
  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

6. 불의를 기뻐하지 아니하며 진리와 함께 기뻐하고
  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

7. 모든 것을 참으며 모든 것을 믿으며 모든 것을 바라며 모든 것을 견디느니라
  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8. 사랑은 언제까지든지 떨어지지 아니하나 예언도 폐하고 방언도 그치고 지식도 폐하리라
  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

9. 우리가 부분적으로 알고 부분적으로 예언하니
  For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

10. 온전한 것이 올 때에는 부분적으로 하던 것이 폐하리라
  but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

11. 내가 어렸을 때에는 말하는 것이 어린아이와 같고 깨닫는 것이 어린아이와 같고 생각하는 것이 어린아이와 같다가 장성한 사람이 되어서는 어린아이의 일을 버렸노라
  When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

12. 우리가 이제는 거울로 보는 것같이 희미하나 그 때에는 얼굴과 얼굴을 대하여 볼 것이요 이제는 내가 부분적으로 아나 그 때에는 주께서 나를 아신 것같이 내가 온전히 알리라
  Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13. 그런즉 믿음, 소망, 사랑, 이 세 가지는 항상 있을 것인데 그 중에 제일은 사랑이라
  And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

에스겔 11

1. 때에 주의 신이 나를 들어 데리고 여호와의 전 동문 곧 동향한 문에 이르시기로 본즉 그 문에 이십오 인이 있는데 내가 그 중에서 앗술의 아들 야아사냐와 브나야의 아들 블라댜를 보았으니 그들은 백성의 방백이라
  Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the gate of the house of the LORD that faces east. There at the entrance to the gate were twenty-five men, and I saw among them Jaazaniah son of Azzur and Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.

2. 그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 이 사람들은 불의를 품고 이 성중에서 악한 꾀를 베푸는 자니라
  The LORD said to me, "Son of man, these are the men who are plotting evil and giving wicked advice in this city.

3. 그들의 말이 집 건축할 때가 가깝지 아니한즉 이 성읍은 가마가 되고 우리는 고기가 된다 하나니
  They say, 'Will it not soon be time to build houses? This city is a cooking pot, and we are the meat.'

4. 그러므로 인자야 너는 그들을 쳐서 예언하고 예언할찌니라
  Therefore prophesy against them; prophesy, son of man."

5. 여호와의 신이 내게 임하여 가라사대 너는 말하기를 여호와의 말씀에 이스라엘 족속아 너희가 이렇게 말하였도다 너희 마음에서 일어나는 것을 내가 다 아노라
  Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon me, and he told me to say: "This is what the LORD says: That is what you are saying, O house of Israel, but I know what is going through your mind.

6. 너희가 이 성읍에서 많이 살륙하여 그 시체로 거리에 채웠도다
  You have killed many people in this city and filled its streets with the dead.

7. 그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 이 성읍 중에서 너희가 살륙한 시체는 그 고기요 이 성읍은 그 가마려니와 너희는 그 가운데서 끌려 나오리라
  "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: The bodies you have thrown there are the meat and this city is the pot, but I will drive you out of it.

8. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 너희가 칼을 두려워하니 내가 칼로 너희에게 임하게 하고
  You fear the sword, and the sword is what I will bring against you, declares the Sovereign LORD.

9. 너희를 그 성읍 가운데서 끌어내어 타국인의 손에 붙여 너희에게 벌을 내리리니
  I will drive you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners and inflict punishment on you.

10. 너희가 칼에 엎드러질 것이라 내가 이스라엘 변경에서 너희를 국문하리니 너희가 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라
  You will fall by the sword, and I will execute judgment on you at the borders of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

11. 이 성읍은 너희 가마가 되지 아니하고 너희는 그 가운데 고기가 되지 아니할찌라 내가 너희를 이스라엘 변경에서 국문하리니
  This city will not be a pot for you, nor will you be the meat in it; I will execute judgment on you at the borders of Israel.

12. 너희가 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라 너희가 내 율례를 행치 아니하며 규례를 지키지 아니하고 너희 사면에 있는 이방인의 규례대로 행하였느니라 하셨다 하라
  And you will know that I am the LORD, for you have not followed my decrees or kept my laws but have conformed to the standards of the nations around you."

13. 이에 내가 예언할 때에 브나야의 아들 블라댜가 죽기로 내가 엎드리어 큰 소리로 부르짖어 가로되 오호라 주 여호와여 이스라엘의 남은 자를 다 멸절하고자 하시나이까 하니라
  Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah died. Then I fell facedown and cried out in a loud voice, "Ah, Sovereign LORD! Will you completely destroy the remnant of Israel?"

14. 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
  The word of the LORD came to me:

15. 인자야 예루살렘 거민이 너의 형제 곧 너의 형제와 친속과 이스라엘 온 족속을 향하여 이르기를 너희는 여호와에게서 멀리 떠나라 이 땅은 우리에게 주어 기업이 되게 하신 것이라 하였나니
  "Son of man, your brothers--your brothers who are your blood relatives and the whole house of Israel--are those of whom the people of Jerusalem have said, 'They are far away from the LORD; this land was given to us as our possession.'

16. 그런즉 너는 말하기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 내가 비록 그들을 멀리 이방인 가운데로 쫓고 열방에 흩었으나 그들이 이른 열방에서 내가 잠간 그들에게 성소가 되리라 하셨다 하고
  "Therefore say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Although I sent them far away among the nations and scattered them among the countries, yet for a little while I have been a sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.'

17. 너는 또 말하기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 내가 너희를 만민 가운데서 모으며 너희를 흩은 열방 가운데서 모아내고 이스라엘 땅으로 너희에게 주리라 하셨다 하라
  "Therefore say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will gather you from the nations and bring you back from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you back the land of Israel again.'

18. 그들이 그리로 가서 그 가운데 모든 미운 물건과 가증한 것을 제하여 버릴찌라
  "They will return to it and remove all its vile images and detestable idols.

19. 내가 그들에게 일치한 마음을 주고 그 속에 새 신을 주며 그 몸에서 굳은 마음을 제하고 부드러운 마음을 주어서
  I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.

20. 내 율례를 좇으며 내 규례를 지켜 행하게 하리니 그들은 내 백성이 되고 나는 그들의 하나님이 되리라
  Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.

21. 그러나 미운 것과 가증한 것을 마음으로 좇는 자는 내가 그 행위대로 그 머리에 갚으리라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라
  But as for those whose hearts are devoted to their vile images and detestable idols, I will bring down on their own heads what they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD."

22. 때에 그룹들이 날개를 드는데 바퀴도 그 곁에 있고 이스라엘 하나님의 영광도 그 위에 덮였더니
  Then the cherubim, with the wheels beside them, spread their wings, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them.

23. 여호와의 영광이 성읍 중에서부터 올라가서 성읍 동편 산에 머물고
  The glory of the LORD went up from within the city and stopped above the mountain east of it.

24. 주의 신이 나를 들어 하나님의 신의 이상 중에 데리고 갈대아에 있는 사로잡힌 자 중에 이르시더니 내가 보는 이상이 나를 떠난지라
  The Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the exiles in Babylonia in the vision given by the Spirit of God. Then the vision I had seen went up from me,

25. 내가 사로잡힌 자들에게 여호와께서 내게 보이신 모든 일로 고하니라
  and I told the exiles everything the LORD had shown me.

시편 50

1. 전능하신 자 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하사 해돋는 데서부터 지는 데까지 세상을 부르셨도다
  A psalm of Asaph. The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to the place where it sets.

2. 온전히 아름다운 시온에서 하나님이 빛을 발하셨도다
  From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.

3. 우리 하나님이 임하사 잠잠치 아니하시니 그 앞에는 불이 삼키고 그 사방에는 광풍이 불리로다
  Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.

4. 하나님이 그 백성을 판단하시려고 윗 하늘과 아래 땅에 반포하여
  He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:

5. 이르시되 나의 성도를 내 앞에 모으라 곧 제사로 나와 언약한 자니라 하시도다
  "Gather to me my consecrated ones, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice."

6. 하늘이 그 공의를 선포하리니 하나님 그는 심판장이심이로다 (셀라)
  And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God himself is judge. Selah

7. 내 백성아 들을찌어다 내가 말하리라 이스라엘아 내가 네게 증거하리라 나는 하나님 곧 네 하나님이로다
  "Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God.

8. 내가 너의 제물을 인하여는 너를 책망치 아니하리니 네 번제가 항상 내 앞에 있음이로다
  I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.

9. 내가 네 집에서 수소나 네 우리에서 수염소를 취치 아니하리니
  I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens,

10. 이는 삼림의 짐승들과 천산의 생축이 다 내 것이며
  for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills.

11. 산의 새들도 나의 아는 것이며 들의 짐승도 내 것임이로다
  I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine.

12. 내가 가령 주려도 네게 이르지 않을 것은 세계와 거기 충만한 것이 내 것임이로다
  If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it.

13. 내가 수소의 고기를 먹으며 염소의 피를 마시겠느냐
  Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

14. 감사로 하나님께 제사를 드리며 지극히 높으신 자에게 네 서원을 갚으며
  Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High,

15. 환난 날에 나를 부르라 내가 너를 건지리니 네가 나를 영화롭게 하리로다
  and call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me."

16. 악인에게는 하나님이 이르시되 네가 어찌 내 율례를 전하며 내 언약을 네 입에 두느냐
  But to the wicked, God says: "What right have you to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips?

17. 네가 교훈을 미워하고 내 말을 네 뒤로 던지며
  You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you.

18. 도적을 본즉 연합하고 간음하는 자와 동류가 되며
  When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw in your lot with adulterers.

19. 네 입을 악에게 주고 네 혀로 궤사를 지으며
  You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.

20. 앉아서 네 형제를 공박하며 네 어미의 아들을 비방하는도다
  You speak continually against your brother and slander your own mother's son.

21. 네가 이 일을 행하여도 내가 잠잠하였더니 네가 나를 너와 같은 줄로 생각하였도다 그러나 내가 너를 책망하여 네 죄를 네 목전에 차례로 베풀리라 하시는도다
  These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was altogether like you. But I will rebuke you and accuse you to your face.

22. 하나님을 잊어버린 너희여 이제 이를 생각하라 그렇지 않으면 내가 너희를 찢으리니 건질 자 없으리라
  "Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with none to rescue:

23. 감사로 제사를 드리는 자가 나를 영화롭게 하나니 그 행위를 옳게 하는 자에게 내가 하나님의 구원을 보이리라
  He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."
