사무엘상 23

1. 혹이 다윗에게 고하여 가로되 보소서 블레셋 사람이 그일라를 쳐서 그 타작 마당을 탈취하더이다
  When David was told, "Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and are looting the threshing floors,"

2. 이에 다윗이 여호와께 묻자와 가로되 내가 가서 이 블레셋 사람을 치리이까 여호와께서 다윗에게 이르시되 가서 블레셋 사람을 치고 그일라를 구원하라 하시니
  he inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I go and attack these Philistines?" The LORD answered him, "Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah."

3. 다윗의 사람들이 그에게 이르되 보소서 우리가 유다에 있기도 두렵거든 하물며 그일라에 가서 블레셋 사람의 군대를 치는 일이리이까
  But David's men said to him, "Here in Judah we are afraid. How much more, then, if we go to Keilah against the Philistine forces!"

4. 다윗이 여호와께 다시 묻자온대 여호와께서 대답하여 가라사대 일어나 그일라로 내려가라 내가 블레셋 사람을 네 손에 붙이리라 하신지라
  Once again David inquired of the LORD, and the LORD answered him, "Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand."

5. 다윗과 그의 사람들이 그일라로 가서 블레셋 사람과 싸워 그들을 크게 도륙하고 그들의 가축을 끌어오니라 다윗이 이와 같이 그일라 거민을 구원하니라
  So David and his men went to Keilah, fought the Philistines and carried off their livestock. He inflicted heavy losses on the Philistines and saved the people of Keilah.

6. 아히멜렉의 아들 아비아달이 그일라 다윗에게로 도망할 때에 손에 에봇을 가지고 내려왔었더라
  (Now Abiathar son of Ahimelech had brought the ephod down with him when he fled to David at Keilah.)

7. 다윗이 그일라에 온 것을 혹이 사울에게 고하매 사울이 가로되 하나님이 그를 내 손에 붙이셨도다 그가 문과 문빗장이 있는 성에 들어갔으니 갇혔도다
  Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah, and he said, "God has handed him over to me, for David has imprisoned himself by entering a town with gates and bars."

8. 사울이 모든 백성을 군사로 불러 모으고 그일라로 내려가서 다윗과 그의 사람들을 에워싸려 하더니
  And Saul called up all his forces for battle, to go down to Keilah to besiege David and his men.

9. 다윗이 사울의 자기를 해하려 하는 계교를 알고 제사장 아비아달에게 이르되 에봇을 이리로 가져오라 하고
  When David learned that Saul was plotting against him, he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring the ephod."

10. 다윗이 가로되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와여 사울이 나의 연고로 이 성을 멸하려고 그일라로 내려오기를 꾀한다 함을 주의 종이 분명히 들었나이다
  David said, "O LORD, God of Israel, your servant has heard definitely that Saul plans to come to Keilah and destroy the town on account of me.

11. 그일라 사람들이 나를 그의 손에 붙이겠나이까 주의 종의 들은 대로 사울이 내려오겠나이까 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와여 원컨대 주의 종에게 일러 주옵소서 여호와께서 가라사대 그가 내려오리라
  Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me to him? Will Saul come down, as your servant has heard? O LORD, God of Israel, tell your servant." And the LORD said, "He will."

12. 다윗이 가로되 그일라 사람들이 나와 내 사람들을 사울의 손에 붙이겠나이까 여호와께서 가라사대 그들이 너를 붙이리라
  Again David asked, "Will the citizens of Keilah surrender me and my men to Saul?" And the LORD said, "They will."

13. 다윗과 그의 사람 육백 명 가량이 일어나 그일라를 떠나서 갈 수 있는 곳으로 갔더니 다윗이 그일라에서 피한 것을 혹이 사울에게 고하매 사울이 가기를 그치니라
  So David and his men, about six hundred in number, left Keilah and kept moving from place to place. When Saul was told that David had escaped from Keilah, he did not go there.

14. 다윗이 황무지 요새에도 있었고 또 십 황무지 산골에도 유하였으므로 사울이 매일 찾되 하나님이 그를 그의 손에 붙이지 아니하시니라
  David stayed in the desert strongholds and in the hills of the Desert of Ziph. Day after day Saul searched for him, but God did not give David into his hands.

15. 다윗이 사울의 자기 생명을 찾으려고 나온 것을 보았으므로 그가 십 황무지 수풀에 있었더니
  While David was at Horesh in the Desert of Ziph, he learned that Saul had come out to take his life.

16. 사울의 아들 요나단이 일어나 수풀에 들어가서 다윗에게 이르러 그로 하나님을 힘있게 의지하게 하였는데
  And Saul's son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God.

17. 곧 요나단이 그에게 이르기를 두려워 말라 내 부친 사울의 손이 네게 미치지 못할 것이요 너는 이스라엘 왕이 되고 나는 네 다음이 될 것을 내 부친 사울도 안다 하니라
  "Don't be afraid," he said. "My father Saul will not lay a hand on you. You will be king over Israel, and I will be second to you. Even my father Saul knows this."

18. 두 사람이 여호와 앞에서 언약하고 다윗은 수풀에 거하고 요나단은 자기 집으로 돌아가니라
  The two of them made a covenant before the LORD. Then Jonathan went home, but David remained at Horesh.

19. 때에 십 사람들이 기브아에 이르러 사울에게 나아와 가로되 다윗이 우리와 함께 광야 남편 하길라 산 수풀 요새에 숨지 아니하였나이까
  The Ziphites went up to Saul at Gibeah and said, "Is not David hiding among us in the strongholds at Horesh, on the hill of Hakilah, south of Jeshimon?

20. 그러하온즉 왕은 내려오시기를 원하시는 대로 내려오소서 그를 왕의 손에 붙일 것이 우리의 의무니이다
  Now, O king, come down whenever it pleases you to do so, and we will be responsible for handing him over to the king."

21. 사울이 가로되 너희가 나를 긍휼히 여겼으니 여호와께 복 받기를 원하노라
  Saul replied, "The LORD bless you for your concern for me.

22. 혹이 내게 말하기를 그가 심히 공교히 행동한다 하나니 너희는 가서 더 자세히 살펴서 그가 어디 은적하였으며 누가 거기서 그를 보았는지 알아보고
  Go and make further preparation. Find out where David usually goes and who has seen him there. They tell me he is very crafty.

23. 그가 숨어 있는 모든 곳을 탐지하고 실상을 내게 회보하라 내가 너희와 함께 가리니 그가 이 땅에 있으면 유다 천천인 중에서 그를 찾아내리라
  Find out about all the hiding places he uses and come back to me with definite information. Then I will go with you; if he is in the area, I will track him down among all the clans of Judah."

24. 그들이 일어나 사울보다 먼저 십으로 가니라 다윗과 그의 사람들이 광야 남편 마온 황무지 아라바에 있더니
  So they set out and went to Ziph ahead of Saul. Now David and his men were in the Desert of Maon, in the Arabah south of Jeshimon.

25. 사울과 그의 사람들이 찾으러 온 것을 혹이 다윗에게 고하매 이에 다윗이 바위로 내려 마온 황무지에 있더니 사울이 듣고 마온 황무지로 다윗을 따라가서는
  Saul and his men began the search, and when David was told about it, he went down to the rock and stayed in the Desert of Maon. When Saul heard this, he went into the Desert of Maon in pursuit of David.

26. 사울이 산 이편으로 가매 다윗과 그의 사람들은 산 저편으로 가며 다윗이 사울을 두려워하여 급히 피하려 하였으니 이는 사울과 그의 사람들이 다윗과 그의 사람들을 에워싸고 잡으려 함이었더라
  Saul was going along one side of the mountain, and David and his men were on the other side, hurrying to get away from Saul. As Saul and his forces were closing in on David and his men to capture them,

27. 사자가 사울에게 와서 가로되 급히 오소서 블레셋 사람이 땅을 침로하나이다
  a messenger came to Saul, saying, "Come quickly! The Philistines are raiding the land."

28. 이에 사울이 다윗 쫓기를 그치고 돌아와서 블레셋 사람을 치러 갔으므로 그 곳을 셀라하마느곳이라 칭하니라
  Then Saul broke off his pursuit of David and went to meet the Philistines. That is why they call this place Sela Hammahlekoth.

29. 다윗이 거기서 올라가서 엔게디 요새에 거하니라
  And David went up from there and lived in the strongholds of En Gedi.

고린도전서 4

1. 사람이 마땅히 우리를 그리스도의 일군이요 하나님의 비밀을 맡은 자로 여길찌어다
  So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God.

2. 그리고 맡은 자들에게 구할 것은 충성이니라
  Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

3. 너희에게나 다른 사람에게나 판단받는 것이 내게는 매우 작은 일이라 나도 나를 판단치 아니하노니
  I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.

4. 내가 자책할 아무것도 깨닫지 못하나 그러나 이를 인하여 의롭다 함을 얻지 못하노라 다만 나를 판단하실 이는 주시니라
  My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me.

5. 그러므로 때가 이르기 전 곧 주께서 오시기까지 아무것도 판단치 말라 그가 어두움에 감추인 것들을 드러내고 마음의 뜻을 나타내시리니 그 때에 각 사람에게 하나님께로부터 칭찬이 있으리라
  Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

6. 형제들아 내가 너희를 위하여 이 일에 나와 아볼로를 가지고 본을 보였으니 이는 너희로 하여금 기록한 말씀 밖에 넘어가지 말라 한 것을 우리에게서 배워 서로 대적하여 교만한 마음을 먹지 말게 하려 함이라
  Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." Then you will not take pride in one man over against another.

7. 누가 너를 구별하였느뇨 네게 있는 것 중에 받지 아니한 것이 무엇이뇨 네가 받았은즉 어찌하여 받지 아니한 것같이 자랑하느뇨
  For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?

8. 너희가 이미 배부르며 이미 부요하며 우리 없이 왕 노릇 하였도다 우리가 너희와 함께 왕 노릇 하기 위하여 참으로 너희의 왕 노릇 하기를 원하노라
  Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have become kings--and that without us! How I wish that you really had become kings so that we might be kings with you!

9. 내가 생각건대 하나님이 사도인 우리를 죽이기로 작정한 자같이 미말에 두셨으매 우리는 세계 곧 천사와 사람에게 구경거리가 되었노라
  For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men.

10. 우리는 그리스도의 연고로 미련하되 너희는 그리스도 안에서 지혜롭고 우리는 약하되 너희는 강하고 너희는 존귀하되 우리는 비천하여
  We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored!

11. 바로 이 시간까지 우리가 주리고 목마르며 헐벗고 매맞으며 정처가 없고
  To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.

12. 또 수고하여 친히 손으로 일을 하며 후욕을 당한즉 축복하고 핍박을 당한즉 참고
  We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;

13. 비방을 당한즉 권면하니 우리가 지금까지 세상의 더러운 것과 만물의 찌끼같이 되었도다
  when we are slandered, we answer kindly. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world.

14. 내가 너희를 부끄럽게 하려고 이것을 쓰는 것이 아니라 오직 너희를 내 사랑하는 자녀같이 권하려 하는 것이라
  I am not writing this to shame you, but to warn you, as my dear children.

15. 그리스도 안에서 일만 스승이 있으되 아비는 많지 아니하니 그리스도 예수 안에서 복음으로써 내가 너희를 낳았음이라
  Even though you have ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

16. 그러므로 내가 너희에게 권하노니 너희는 나를 본받는 자 되라
  Therefore I urge you to imitate me.

17. 이를 인하여 내가 주 안에서 내 사랑하고 신실한 아들 디모데를 너희에게 보내었노니 저가 너희로 하여금 그리스도 예수 안에서 나의 행사 곧 내가 각처 각 교회에서 가르치는 것을 생각나게 하리라
  For this reason I am sending to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.

18. 어떤 이들은 내가 너희에게 나아가지 아니할 것같이 스스로 교만하여졌으나
  Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you.

19. 그러나 주께서 허락하시면 내가 너희에게 속히 나아가서 교만한 자의 말을 알아볼 것이 아니라 오직 그 능력을 알아보겠노니
  But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have.

20. 하나님의 나라는 말에 있지 아니하고 오직 능력에 있음이라
  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.

21. 너희가 무엇을 원하느냐 내가 매를 가지고 너희에게 나아가랴 사랑과 온유한 마음으로 나아가랴
  What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a whip, or in love and with a gentle spirit?

에스겔 2

1. 그가 내게 이르시되 인자야 일어서라 내가 네게 말하리라 하시며
  He said to me, "Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you."

2. 말씀하실 때에 그 신이 내게 임하사 나를 일으켜 세우시기로 내가 그 말씀하시는 자의 소리를 들으니
  As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.

3. 내게 이르시되 인자야 내가 너를 이스라엘 자손 곧 패역한 백성, 나를 배반하는 자에게 보내노라 그들과 그 열조가 내게 범죄하여 오늘날까지 이르렀나니
  He said: "Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their fathers have been in revolt against me to this very day.

4. 이 자손은 얼굴이 뻔뻔하고 마음이 강퍅한 자니라 내가 너를 그들에게 보내노니 너는 그들에게 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀이 이러하시다 하라
  The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says.'

5. 그들은 패역한 족속이라 듣든지 아니 듣든지 그들 가운데 선지자 있은 줄은 알찌니라
  And whether they listen or fail to listen--for they are a rebellious house--they will know that a prophet has been among them.

6. 인자야 너는 비록 가시와 찔레와 함께 처하며 전갈 가운데 거할 찌라도 그들을 두려워 말고 그 말을 두려워 말찌어다 그들은 패역한 족속이라도 그 말을 두려워 말며 그 얼굴을 무서워 말찌어다
  And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious house.

7. 그들은 심히 패역한 자라 듣든지 아니 듣든지 너는 내 말로 고할찌어다
  You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.

8. 인자야 내가 네게 이르는 말을 듣고 그 패역한 족속같이 패역하지 말고 네 입을 벌리고 내가 네게 주는 것을 먹으라 하시기로
  But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you."

9. 내가 보니 한 손이 나를 향하여 펴지고 그 손에 두루마리 책이 있더라
  Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out to me. In it was a scroll,

10. 그가 그것을 내 앞에 펴시니 그 안팎에 글이 있는데 애가와 애곡과 재앙의 말이 기록되었더라
  which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe.

시편 38

1. 여호와여 주의 노로 나를 책하지 마시고 분노로 나를 징계치 마소서
  A psalm of David. A petition. O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.

2. 주의 살이 나를 찌르고 주의 손이 나를 심히 누르시나이다
  For your arrows have pierced me, and your hand has come down upon me.

3. 주의 진노로 인하여 내 살에 성한 곳이 없사오며 나의 죄로 인하여 내 뼈에 평안함이 없나이다
  Because of your wrath there is no health in my body; my bones have no soundness because of my sin.

4. 내 죄악이 내 머리에 넘쳐서 무거운 짐 같으니 감당할 수 없나이다
  My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear.

5. 내 상처가 썩어 악취가 나오니 나의 우매한 연고로소이다
  My wounds fester and are loathsome because of my sinful folly.

6. 내가 아프고 심히 구부러졌으며 종일토록 슬픈 중에 다니나이다
  I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning.

7. 내 허리에 열기가 가득하고 내 살에 성한 곳이 없나이다
  My back is filled with searing pain; there is no health in my body.

8. 내가 피곤하고 심히 상하였으매 마음이 불안하여 신음하나이다
  I am feeble and utterly crushed; I groan in anguish of heart.

9. 주여 나의 모든 소원이 주의 앞에 있사오며 나의 탄식이 주의 앞에 감추이지 아니하나이다
  All my longings lie open before you, O Lord; my sighing is not hidden from you.

10. 내 심장이 뛰고 내 기력이 쇠하여 내 눈의 빛도 나를 떠났나이다
  My heart pounds, my strength fails me; even the light has gone from my eyes.

11. 나의 사랑하는 자와 나의 친구들이 나의 상처를 멀리하고 나의 친척들도 멀리 섰나이다
  My friends and companions avoid me because of my wounds; my neighbors stay far away.

12. 내 생명을 찾는 자가 올무를 놓고 나를 해하려는 자가 괴악한 일을 말하여 종일토록 궤계를 도모하오나
  Those who seek my life set their traps, those who would harm me talk of my ruin; all day long they plot deception.

13. 나는 귀먹은 자같이 듣지 아니하고 벙어리같이 입을 열지 아니하오니
  I am like a deaf man, who cannot hear, like a mute, who cannot open his mouth;

14. 나는 듣지 못하는 자 같아서 입에는 변박함이 없나이다
  I have become like a man who does not hear, whose mouth can offer no reply.

15. 여호와여 내가 주를 바랐사오니 내 주 하나님이 내게 응락하시리이다
  I wait for you, O LORD; you will answer, O Lord my God.

16. 내가 말하기를 두렵건대 저희가 내게 대하여 기뻐하며 내가 실족할 때에 나를 향하여 망자존대할까 하였나이다
  For I said, "Do not let them gloat or exalt themselves over me when my foot slips."

17. 내가 넘어지게 되었고 나의 근심이 항상 내 앞에 있사오니
  For I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me.

18. 내 죄악을 고하고 내 죄를 슬퍼함이니이다
  I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin.

19. 내 원수가 활발하며 강하고 무리하게 나를 미워하는 자가 무수하오며
  Many are those who are my vigorous enemies; those who hate me without reason are numerous.

20. 또 악으로 선을 갚는 자들이 내가 선을 좇는 연고로 나를 대적하나이다
  Those who repay my good with evil slander me when I pursue what is good.

21. 여호와여 나를 버리지 마소서 나의 하나님이여 나를 멀리하지 마소서
  O LORD, do not forsake me; be not far from me, O my God.

22. 속히 나를 도우소서 주 나의 구원이시여
  Come quickly to help me, O Lord my Savior.
