사무엘상 9

1. 베냐민 지파에 기스라 이름하는 유력한 사람이 있으니 그는 아비엘의 아들이요 스롤의 손자요 베고랏의 증손이요 아비아의 현손이라 베냐민 사람이더라
  There was a Benjamite, a man of standing, whose name was Kish son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Becorath, the son of Aphiah of Benjamin.

2. 기스가 아들이 있으니 그 이름은 사울이요 준수한 소년이라 이스라엘 자손 중에 그보다 더 준수한 자가 없고 키는 모든 백성보다 어깨 위는 더하더라
  He had a son named Saul, an impressive young man without equal among the Israelites--a head taller than any of the others.

3. 사울의 아비 기스가 암나귀들을 잃고 그 아들 사울에게 이르되 너는 한 사환을 데리고 일어나 가서 암나귀들을 찾으라 하매
  Now the donkeys belonging to Saul's father Kish were lost, and Kish said to his son Saul, "Take one of the servants with you and go and look for the donkeys."

4. 그가 에브라임 산지와 살리사 땅으로 두루 다니되 찾지 못하고 사알림 땅으로 두루 다니되 없고 베냐민 사람의 땅으로 두루 다니되 찾지 못하니라
  So he passed through the hill country of Ephraim and through the area around Shalisha, but they did not find them. They went on into the district of Shaalim, but the donkeys were not there. Then he passed through the territory of Benjamin, but they did not find them.

5. 그들이 숩 땅에 이른 때에 사울이 함께 하는 사환에게 이르되 돌아가자 내 부친이 암나귀 생각은 고사하고 우리를 위하여 걱정하실까 두려워하노라
  When they reached the district of Zuph, Saul said to the servant who was with him, "Come, let's go back, or my father will stop thinking about the donkeys and start worrying about us."

6. 대답하되 보소서 이 성에 하나님의 사람이 있는데 존중히 여김을 받는 사람이라 그가 말한 것은 반드시 다 응하나니 그리로 가사이다 그가 혹 우리의 갈 길을 가르칠까 하나이다
  But the servant replied, "Look, in this town there is a man of God; he is highly respected, and everything he says comes true. Let's go there now. Perhaps he will tell us what way to take."

7. 사울이 그 사환에게 이르되 우리가 가면 그 사람에게 무엇을 드리겠느냐 우리 그릇에 식물이 다 하였으니 하나님의 사람에게 드릴 예물이 없도다 무엇이 있느냐
  Saul said to his servant, "If we go, what can we give the man? The food in our sacks is gone. We have no gift to take to the man of God. What do we have?"

8. 사환이 사울에게 다시 대답하여 가로되 보소서 내 손에 은 한 세겔의 사분 일이 있으니 하나님의 사람에게 드려 우리 길을 가르치게 하겠나이다
  The servant answered him again. "Look," he said, "I have a quarter of a shekel of silver. I will give it to the man of God so that he will tell us what way to take."

9. (옛적 이스라엘에 사람이 하나님께 가서 물으려 하면 말하기를 선견자에게로 가자 하였으니 지금 선지자라 하는 자를 옛적에는 선견자라 일컬었더라)
  (Formerly in Israel, if a man went to inquire of God, he would say, "Come, let us go to the seer," because the prophet of today used to be called a seer.)

10. 사울이 그 사환에게 이르되 네 말이 옳다 가자 하고 그들이 하나님의 사람 있는 성으로 가니라
  "Good," Saul said to his servant. "Come, let's go." So they set out for the town where the man of God was.

11. 그들이 성을 향한 비탈길로 올라가다가 물 길러 나오는 소녀들을 만나 그들에게 묻되 선견자가 여기 있느냐
  As they were going up the hill to the town, they met some girls coming out to draw water, and they asked them, "Is the seer here?"

12. 그들이 대답하여 가로되 있나이다 보소서 그가 당신보다 앞섰으니 빨리 가소서 백성이 오늘 산당에서 제사를 드리므로 그가 오늘 성에 들어오셨나이다
  "He is," they answered. "He's ahead of you. Hurry now; he has just come to our town today, for the people have a sacrifice at the high place.

13. 당신들이 성으로 들어가면 그가 먹으러 산당에 올라가기 전에 곧 만나리이다 그가 오기 전에는 백성이 먹지 아니하나니 이는 그가 제물을 축사한 후에야 청함을 받은 자가 먹음이라 그러므로 지금 올라가소서 금시로 만나리이다 하는지라
  As soon as you enter the town, you will find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. The people will not begin eating until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice; afterward, those who are invited will eat. Go up now; you should find him about this time."

14. 그들이 성읍으로 올라가서 그리로 들어갈 때에 사무엘이 마침 산당으로 올라가려고 마주 나오더라
  They went up to the town, and as they were entering it, there was Samuel, coming toward them on his way up to the high place.

15. 사울의 오기 전 날에 여호와께서 사무엘에게 알게 하여 가라사대
  Now the day before Saul came, the LORD had revealed this to Samuel:

16. 내일 이맘때에 내가 베냐민 땅에서 한 사람을 네게 보내리니 너는 그에게 기름을 부어 내 백성 이스라엘의 지도자를 삼으라 그가 내 백성을 블레셋 사람의 손에서 구원하리라 내 백성의 부르짖음이 내게 상달하였으므로 내가 그들을 돌아보았노라 하시더니
  "About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him leader over my people Israel; he will deliver my people from the hand of the Philistines. I have looked upon my people, for their cry has reached me."

17. 사무엘이 사울을 볼 때에 여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 보라 이는 내가 네게 말한 사람이니 이가 내 백성을 통할하리라 하시니라
  When Samuel caught sight of Saul, the LORD said to him, "This is the man I spoke to you about; he will govern my people."

18. 사울이 성문 가운데 사무엘에게 나아가 가로되 선견자의 집이 어디인지 청컨대 내게 가르치소서
  Saul approached Samuel in the gateway and asked, "Would you please tell me where the seer's house is?"

19. 사무엘이 사울에게 대답하여 가로되 내가 선견자니라 너는 내 앞서 산당으로 올라가라 너희가 오늘날 나와 함께 먹을 것이요 아침에는 내가 너를 보내되 네 마음에 있는 것을 다 네게 말하리라
  "I am the seer," Samuel replied. "Go up ahead of me to the high place, for today you are to eat with me, and in the morning I will let you go and will tell you all that is in your heart.

20. 사흘 전에 잃은 네 암나귀들을 염려하지 말라 찾았느니라 온 이스라엘의 사모하는 자가 누구냐 너와 네 아비의 온 집이 아니냐
  As for the donkeys you lost three days ago, do not worry about them; they have been found. And to whom is all the desire of Israel turned, if not to you and all your father's family?"

21. 사울이 대답하여 가로되 나는 이스라엘 지파의 가장 작은 지파 베냐민 사람이 아니오며 나의 가족은 베냐민 지파 모든 가족 중에 가장 미약하지 아니하니이까 당신이 어찌하여 내게 이같이 말씀하시나이까
  Saul answered, "But am I not a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel, and is not my clan the least of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why do you say such a thing to me?"

22. 사무엘이 사울과 그 사환을 인도하여 객실로 들어가서 청한 자 중 수석에 앉게 하였는데 객은 삼십 명 가량이었더라
  Then Samuel brought Saul and his servant into the hall and seated them at the head of those who were invited--about thirty in number.

23. 사무엘이 요리인에게 이르되 내가 네게 주며 네게 두라고 말한 그 부분을 가져오라
  Samuel said to the cook, "Bring the piece of meat I gave you, the one I told you to lay aside."

24. 요리인이 넓적다리와 그것에 붙은 것을 가져다가 사울 앞에 놓는지라 사무엘이 가로되 보라 이는 두었던 것이니 네 앞에 놓고 먹으라 내가 백성을 청할 때부터 너를 위하여 이것을 두어서 이 때를 기다리게 하였느니라 그 날에 사울이 사무엘과 함께 먹으니라
  So the cook took up the leg with what was on it and set it in front of Saul. Samuel said, "Here is what has been kept for you. Eat, because it was set aside for you for this occasion, from the time I said, 'I have invited guests.'" And Saul dined with Samuel that day.

25. 그들이 산당에서 내려 성에 들어가서는 사무엘이 사울과 함께 지붕에서 담화하고
  After they came down from the high place to the town, Samuel talked with Saul on the roof of his house.

26. 그들이 일찌기 일어날쌔 동틀 때 즈음이라 사무엘이 지붕에서 사울을 불러 가로되 일어나라 내가 너를 보내리라 하매 사울이 일어나고 그 두 사람 사울과 사무엘이 함께 밖으로 나가서
  They rose about daybreak and Samuel called to Saul on the roof, "Get ready, and I will send you on your way." When Saul got ready, he and Samuel went outside together.

27. 성읍 끝에 이르매 사무엘이 사울에게 이르되 사환으로 우리를 앞서게 하라 사환이 앞서매 또 가로되 너는 이제 잠간 서 있으라 내가 하나님의 말씀을 네게 들리리라
  As they were going down to the edge of the town, Samuel said to Saul, "Tell the servant to go on ahead of us"--and the servant did so--"but you stay here awhile, so that I may give you a message from God."

로마서 7

1. 형제들아 내가 법 아는 자들에게 말하노니 너희는 율법이 사람의 살 동안만 그를 주관하는 줄 알지 못하느냐
  Do you not know, brothers--for I am speaking to men who know the law--that the law has authority over a man only as long as he lives?

2. 남편 있는 여인이 그 남편 생전에는 법으로 그에게 매인 바 되나 만일 그 남편이 죽으면 남편의 법에서 벗어났느니라
  For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of marriage.

3. 그러므로 만일 그 남편 생전에 다른 남자에게 가면 음부라 이르되 남편이 죽으면 그 법에서 자유케 되나니 다른 남자에게 갈찌라도 음부가 되지 아니하느니라
  So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress, even though she marries another man.

4. 그러므로 내 형제들아 너희도 그리스도의 몸으로 말미암아 율법에 대하여 죽임을 당하였으니 이는 다른 이 곧 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나신 이에게 가서 우리로 하나님을 위하여 열매를 맺히게 하려 함이니라
  So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.

5. 우리가 육신에 있을 때에는 율법으로 말미암는 죄의 정욕이 우리 지체 중에 역사하여 우리로 사망을 위하여 열매를 맺게 하였더니
  For when we were controlled by the sinful nature, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in our bodies, so that we bore fruit for death.

6. 이제는 우리가 얽매였던 것에 대하여 죽었으므로 율법에서 벗어났으니 이러므로 우리가 영의 새로운 것으로 섬길 것이요 의문의 묵은 것으로 아니할찌니라
  But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

7. 그런즉 우리가 무슨 말 하리요 율법이 죄냐 그럴 수 없느니라 율법으로 말미암지 않고는 내가 죄를 알지 못하였으니 곧 율법이 탐내지 말라 하지 아니하였더면 내가 탐심을 알지 못하였으리라
  What shall we say, then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! Indeed I would not have known what sin was except through the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, "Do not covet."

8. 그러나 죄가 기회를 타서 계명으로 말미암아 내 속에서 각양 탐심을 이루었나니 이는 법이 없으면 죄가 죽은 것임이니라
  But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of covetous desire. For apart from law, sin is dead.

9. 전에 법을 깨닫지 못할 때에는 내가 살았더니 계명이 이르매 죄는 살아나고 나는 죽었도다
  Once I was alive apart from law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.

10. 생명에 이르게 할 그 계명이 내게 대하여 도리어 사망에 이르게 하는 것이 되었도다
  I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.

11. 죄가 기회를 타서 계명으로 말미암아 나를 속이고 그것으로 나를 죽였는지라
  For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.

12. 이로 보건대 율법도 거룩하며 계명도 거룩하며 의로우며 선하도다
  So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

13. 그런즉 선한 것이 내게 사망이 되었느뇨 그럴 수 없느니라 오직 죄가 죄로 드러나기 위하여 선한 그것으로 말미암아 나를 죽게 만들었으니 이는 계명으로 말미암아 죄로 심히 죄 되게 하려 함이니라
  Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

14. 우리가 율법은 신령한 줄 알거니와 나는 육신에 속하여 죄 아래 팔렸도다
  We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin.

15. 나의 행하는 것을 내가 알지 못하노니 곧 원하는 이것은 행하지 아니하고 도리어 미워하는 그것을 함이라
  I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

16. 만일 내가 원치 아니하는 그것을 하면 내가 이로 율법의 선한 것을 시인하노니
  And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

17. 이제는 이것을 행하는 자가 내가 아니요 내 속에 거하는 죄니라
  As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.

18. 내 속 곧 내 육신에 선한 것이 거하지 아니하는 줄을 아노니 원함은 내게 있으나 선을 행하는 것은 없노라
  I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

19. 내가 원하는 바 선은 하지 아니하고 도리어 원치 아니하는 바 악은 행하는도다
  For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing.

20. 만일 내가 원치 아니하는 그것을 하면 이를 행하는 자가 내가 아니요 내 속에 거하는 죄니라
  Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21. 그러므로 내가 한 법을 깨달았노니 곧 선을 행하기 원하는 나에게 악이 함께 있는 것이로다
  So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

22. 내 속 사람으로는 하나님의 법을 즐거워하되
  For in my inner being I delight in God's law;

23. 내 지체 속에서 한 다른 법이 내 마음의 법과 싸워 내 지체 속에 있는 죄의 법 아래로 나를 사로잡아 오는 것을 보는도다
  but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members.

24. 오호라 나는 곤고한 사람이로다 이 사망의 몸에서 누가 나를 건져내랴
  What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?

25. 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님께 감사하리로다 그런즉 내 자신이 마음으로는 하나님의 법을, 육신으로는 죄의 법을 섬기노라
  Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

예레미야 46

1. 열국에 대하여 선지자 예레미야에게 임한 여호와의 말씀이라
  This is the word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning the nations:

2. 애굽을 논한 것이니 곧 유다 왕 요시야의 아들 여호야김 제 사 년에 유브라데 하숫가 갈그미스에서 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살에게 패한 애굽 왕 바로느고의 군대에 대한 말씀이라
  Concerning Egypt: This is the message against the army of Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt, which was defeated at Carchemish on the Euphrates River by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah:

3. 너희는 큰 방패, 작은 방패를 예비하고 나가서 싸우라
  "Prepare your shields, both large and small, and march out for battle!

4. 너희 기병이여 말에 안장을 지워 타며 투구를 쓰고 나서며 창을 갈며 갑옷을 입으라
  Harness the horses, mount the steeds! Take your positions with helmets on! Polish your spears, put on your armor!

5. 여호와께서 가라사대 내가 본즉 그들이 놀라 물러가며 그들의 용사는 패하여 급히 도망하며 뒤를 돌아보지 아니함은 어찜인고 두려움이 그들의 사방에 있음이로다 하셨나니
  What do I see? They are terrified, they are retreating, their warriors are defeated. They flee in haste without looking back, and there is terror on every side," declares the LORD.

6. 발이 빠른 자도 도망하지 못하며 용맹이 있는 자도 피하지 못하고 그들이 다 북방에서 유브라데 하숫가에 넘어지며 엎드러지는도다
  "The swift cannot flee nor the strong escape. In the north by the River Euphrates they stumble and fall.

7. 저 나일의 창일함과 강물의 흉용함 같은 자 누구뇨
  "Who is this that rises like the Nile, like rivers of surging waters?

8. 애굽이 나일의 창일함과 강물의 흉용함 같도다 그가 가로되 내가 일어나 땅을 덮어 성읍들과 그 거민을 멸할 것이라
  Egypt rises like the Nile, like rivers of surging waters. She says, 'I will rise and cover the earth; I will destroy cities and their people.'

9. 말들아 달리라 병거들아 급히 동하라 용사여 나오라 방패 잡은 구스인과 붓인과 활을 당기는 루딤인이여 나올찌니라 하거니와
  Charge, O horses! Drive furiously, O charioteers! March on, O warriors--men of Cush and Put who carry shields, men of Lydia who draw the bow.

10. 그 날은 주 만군의 여호와께서 그 대적에게 원수 갚는 보수일이라 칼이 배부르게 삼키며 그들의 피를 가득히 마시리니 주 만군의 여호와께서 북편 유브라데 하숫가에서 희생을 내실 것임이로다
  But that day belongs to the Lord, the LORD Almighty--a day of vengeance, for vengeance on his foes. The sword will devour till it is satisfied, till it has quenched its thirst with blood. For the Lord, the LORD Almighty, will offer sacrifice in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.

11. 처녀 딸 애굽이여 길르앗으로 올라가서 유향을 취하라 네가 많은 의약을 쓸찌라도 무효하여 낫지 못하리라
  "Go up to Gilead and get balm, O Virgin Daughter of Egypt. But you multiply remedies in vain; there is no healing for you.

12. 네 수치가 열방에 들렸고 네 부르짖음은 땅에 가득하였나니 용사가 용사에게 부딪쳐 둘이 함께 엎드러졌음이니라
  The nations will hear of your shame; your cries will fill the earth. One warrior will stumble over another; both will fall down together."

13. 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살이 와서 애굽 땅을 칠 일에 대하여 선지자 예레미야에게 이르신 여호와의 말씀이라
  This is the message the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to attack Egypt:

14. 너희는 애굽에 선포하며 믹돌과 놉과 다바네스에 선포하여 말하기를 너희는 굳게 서서 예비하라 네 사방이 칼에 삼키웠느니라
  "Announce this in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol; proclaim it also in Memphis and Tahpanhes: 'Take your positions and get ready, for the sword devours those around you.'

15. 너희 장사들이 쓰러짐은 어찜이뇨 그들의 서지 못함은 여호와께서 그들을 몰아내신 연고니라
  Why will your warriors be laid low? They cannot stand, for the LORD will push them down.

16. 그가 많은 자로 넘어지게 하시매 사람이 사람 위에 엎드러지며 이르되 일어나라 우리가 포악한 칼을 피하여 우리 민족에게로, 우리 고토로 돌아가자 하며
  They will stumble repeatedly; they will fall over each other. They will say, 'Get up, let us go back to our own people and our native lands, away from the sword of the oppressor.'

17. 거기서 부르짖기를 애굽 왕 바로가 망하였도다 그가 시기를 잃었도다
  There they will exclaim, 'Pharaoh king of Egypt is only a loud noise; he has missed his opportunity.'

18. 만군의 여호와라 일컫는 왕이 가라사대 나의 삶으로 맹세하노니 그가 과연 산들 중의 다볼같이, 해변의 갈멜같이 오리라
  "As surely as I live," declares the King, whose name is the LORD Almighty, "one will come who is like Tabor among the mountains, like Carmel by the sea.

19. 애굽에 사는 딸이여 너는 너를 위하여 포로의 행리를 준비하라 놉이 황무하며 불에 타서 거민이 없을 것임이니라
  Pack your belongings for exile, you who live in Egypt, for Memphis will be laid waste and lie in ruins without inhabitant.

20. 애굽은 심히 아름다운 암송아지라도 북에서부터 멸망이 이르렀고 이르렀느니라
  "Egypt is a beautiful heifer, but a gadfly is coming against her from the north.

21. 또 그 중의 고용군은 외양간의 송아지 같아서 돌이켜 함께 도망하고 서지 못하였나니 재난의 날이 이르렀고 벌받는 때가 왔음이라
  The mercenaries in her ranks are like fattened calves. They too will turn and flee together, they will not stand their ground, for the day of disaster is coming upon them, the time for them to be punished.

22. 애굽의 소리가 뱀의 소리 같으리니 이는 그들의 군대가 벌목하는 자같이 도끼를 가지고 올 것임이니라
  Egypt will hiss like a fleeing serpent as the enemy advances in force; they will come against her with axes, like men who cut down trees.

23. 나 여호와가 말하노라 그들이 황충보다 많고 계수할 수 없으므로 조사할 수 없는 그의 수풀을 찍을 것이라
  They will chop down her forest," declares the LORD, "dense though it be. They are more numerous than locusts, they cannot be counted.

24. 딸 애굽이 수치를 당하여 북방 백성의 손에 붙임을 입으리로다
  The Daughter of Egypt will be put to shame, handed over to the people of the north."

25. 나 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 말하노라 보라 내가 노의 아몬과 바로와 애굽과 애굽 신들과 왕들 곧 바로와 및 그를 의지하는 자들을 벌할 것이라
  The LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "I am about to bring punishment on Amon god of Thebes, on Pharaoh, on Egypt and her gods and her kings, and on those who rely on Pharaoh.

26. 내가 그들의 생명을 찾는 자의 손 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살의 손과 그 신하들의 손에 붙이리라 그럴찌라도 그 후에는 그 땅이 여전히 사람 살 곳이 되리라 여호와의 말이니라
  I will hand them over to those who seek their lives, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. Later, however, Egypt will be inhabited as in times past," declares the LORD.

27. 내 종 야곱아 두려워 말라 이스라엘아 놀라지 말라 보라 내가 너를 원방에서 구원하며 네 자손을 포로된 땅에서 구원하리니 야곱이 돌아와서 평안히, 정온히 거할 것이라 그를 두렵게 할 자 없으리라
  "Do not fear, O Jacob my servant; do not be dismayed, O Israel. I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their exile. Jacob will again have peace and security, and no one will make him afraid.

28. 나 여호와가 말하노라 내 종 야곱아 내가 너와 함께하나니 두려워 말라 내가 너를 흩었던 그 열방은 다 멸할찌라도 너는 아주 멸하지 아니하리라 내가 너를 공도로 징책할 것이요 결코 무죄한 자로 여기지 아니하리라
  Do not fear, O Jacob my servant, for I am with you," declares the LORD. "Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only with justice; I will not let you go entirely unpunished."

시편 22

1. 내 하나님이여 내 하나님이여 어찌 나를 버리셨나이까 어찌 나를 멀리하여 돕지 아니하옵시며 내 신음하는 소리를 듣지 아니하시나이까
  For the director of music. To the tune of"The Doe of the Morning." A psalm of David. My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?

2. 내 하나님이여 내가 낮에도 부르짖고 밤에도 잠잠치 아니하오나 응답지 아니하시나이다
  O my God, I cry out by day, but you do not answer, by night, and am not silent.

3. 이스라엘의 찬송 중에 거하시는 주여 주는 거룩하시니이다
  Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the praise of Israel.

4. 우리 열조가 주께 의뢰하였고 의뢰하였으므로 저희를 건지셨나이다
  In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.

5. 저희가 주께 부르짖어 구원을 얻고 주께 의뢰하여 수치를 당치 아니하였나이다
  They cried to you and were saved; in you they trusted and were not disappointed.

6. 나는 벌레요 사람이 아니라 사람의 훼방거리요 백성의 조롱거리니이다
  But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people.

7. 나를 보는 자는 다 비웃으며 입술을 비쭉이고 머리를 흔들며 말하되
  All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads:

8. 저가 여호와께 의탁하니 구원하실 걸, 저를 기뻐하시니 건지실 걸 하나이다
  "He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him."

9. 오직 주께서 나를 모태에서 나오게 하시고 내 모친의 젖을 먹을 때에 의지하게 하셨나이다
  Yet you brought me out of the womb; you made me trust in you even at my mother's breast.

10. 내가 날 때부터 주께 맡긴 바 되었고 모태에서 나올 때부터 주는 내 하나님이 되셨사오니
  From birth I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God.

11. 나를 멀리하지 마옵소서 환난이 가깝고 도울 자 없나이다
  Do not be far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.

12. 많은 황소가 나를 에워싸며 바산의 힘센 소들이 나를 둘렀으며
  Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.

13. 내게 그 입을 벌림이 찢고 부르짖는 사자 같으니이다
  Roaring lions tearing their prey open their mouths wide against me.

14. 나는 물같이 쏟아졌으며 내 모든 뼈는 어그러졌으며 내 마음은 촛밀 같아서 내 속에서 녹았으며
  I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart has turned to wax; it has melted away within me.

15. 내 힘이 말라 질그릇 조각 같고 내 혀가 잇틀에 붙었나이다 주께서 또 나를 사망의 진토에 두셨나이다
  My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; you lay me in the dust of death.

16. 개들이 나를 에워쌌으며 악한 무리가 나를 둘러 내 수족을 찔렀나이다
  Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.

17. 내가 내 모든 뼈를 셀 수 있나이다 저희가 나를 주목하여 보고
  I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me.

18. 내 겉옷을 나누며 속옷을 제비뽑나이다
  They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.

19. 여호와여 멀리하지 마옵소서 나의 힘이시여 속히 나를 도우소서
  But you, O LORD, be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me.

20. 내 영혼을 칼에서 건지시며 내 유일한 것을 개의 세력에서 구하소서
  Deliver my life from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dogs.

21. 나를 사자 입에서 구하소서 주께서 내게 응락하시고 들소 뿔에서 구원하셨나이다
  Rescue me from the mouth of the lions; save me from the horns of the wild oxen.

22. 내가 주의 이름을 형제에게 선포하고 회중에서 주를 찬송하리이다
  I will declare your name to my brothers; in the congregation I will praise you.

23. 여호와를 두려워하는 너희여 그를 찬송할찌어다 야곱의 모든 자손이여 그에게 영광을 돌릴찌어다 너희 이스라엘 모든 자손이여 그를 경외할찌어다
  You who fear the LORD, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, honor him! Revere him, all you descendants of Israel!

24. 그는 곤고한 자의 곤고를 멸시하거나 싫어하지 아니하시며 그 얼굴을 저에게서 숨기지 아니하시고 부르짖을 때에 들으셨도다
  For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

25. 대회 중에 나의 찬송은 주께로서 온 것이니 주를 경외하는 자 앞에서 나의 서원을 갚으리이다
  From you comes the theme of my praise in the great assembly; before those who fear you will I fulfill my vows.

26. 겸손한 자는 먹고 배부를 것이며 여호와를 찾는 자는 그를 찬송할 것이라 너희 마음은 영원히 살찌어다
  The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will praise him--may your hearts live forever!

27. 땅의 모든 끝이 여호와를 기억하고 돌아오며 열방의 모든 족속이 주의 앞에 경배하리니
  All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him,

28. 나라는 여호와의 것이요 여호와는 열방의 주재심이로다
  for dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations.

29. 세상의 모든 풍비한 자가 먹고 경배할 것이요 진토에 내려가는 자 곧 자기 영혼을 살리지 못할 자도 다 그 앞에 절하리로다
  All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him--those who cannot keep themselves alive.

30. 후손이 그를 봉사할 것이요 대대에 주를 전할 것이며
  Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.

31. 와서 그 공의를 장차 날 백성에게 전함이여 주께서 이를 행하셨다 할 것이로다
  They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn--for he has done it.
