사사기 4

1. 에훗의 죽은 후에 이스라엘 자손이 또 여호와의 목전에 악을 행하매
  After Ehud died, the Israelites once again did evil in the eyes of the LORD.

2. 여호와께서 하솔에 도읍한 가나안 왕 야빈의 손에 그들을 파셨는데 그 군대 장관은 이방 하로셋에 거하는 시스라요
  So the LORD sold them into the hands of Jabin, a king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth Haggoyim.

3. 야빈 왕은 철병거 구백 승이 있어서 이십 년 동안 이스라엘 자손을 심히 학대한 고로 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께 부르짖었더라
  Because he had nine hundred iron chariots and had cruelly oppressed the Israelites for twenty years, they cried to the LORD for help.

4. 그 때에 랍비돗의 아내 여선지 드보라가 이스라엘의 사사가 되었는데
  Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.

5. 그는 에브라임 산지 라마와 벧엘 사이 드보라의 종려나무 아래 거하였고 이스라엘 자손은 그에게 나아가 재판을 받더라
  She held court under the Palm of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill country of Ephraim, and the Israelites came to her to have their disputes decided.

6. 드보라가 보내어 아비노암의 아들 바락을 납달리 게데스에서 불러다가 그에게 이르되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 이같이 명하지 아니하셨느냐 이르시기를 너는 납달리 자손과 스불론 자손 일만 명을 거느리고 다볼 산으로 가라
  She sent for Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali and said to him, "The LORD, the God of Israel, commands you: 'Go, take with you ten thousand men of Naphtali and Zebulun and lead the way to Mount Tabor.

7. 내가 야빈의 군대 장관 시스라와 그 병거들과 그 무리를 기손 강으로 이끌어 네게 이르게 하고 그를 네 손에 붙이리라 하셨느니라
  I will lure Sisera, the commander of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his troops to the Kishon River and give him into your hands.'"

8. 바락이 그에게 이르되 당신이 나와 함께 가면 내가 가려니와 당신이 나와 함께 가지 아니하면 나는 가지 않겠노라
  Barak said to her, "If you go with me, I will go; but if you don't go with me, I won't go."

9. 가로되 내가 반드시 너와 함께 가리라 그러나 네가 이제 가는 일로는 영광을 얻지 못하리니 이는 여호와께서 시스라를 여인의 손에 파실 것임이니라 하고 드보라가 일어나 바락과 함께 게데스로 가니라
  "Very well," Deborah said, "I will go with you. But because of the way you are going about this, the honor will not be yours, for the LORD will hand Sisera over to a woman." So Deborah went with Barak to Kedesh,

10. 바락이 스불론과 납달리를 게데스로 부르니 일만 인이 그를 따라 올라가고 드보라도 그와 함께 올라가니라
  where he summoned Zebulun and Naphtali. Ten thousand men followed him, and Deborah also went with him.

11. 모세의 장인 호밥의 자손 중 겐 사람 헤벨이 자기 족속을 떠나 게데스에 가까운 사아난님 상수리나무 곁에 이르러 장막을 쳤더라
  Now Heber the Kenite had left the other Kenites, the descendants of Hobab, Moses' brother-in-law, and pitched his tent by the great tree in Zaanannim near Kedesh.

12. 아비노암의 아들 바락이 다볼 산에 오른 것을 혹이 시스라에게 고하매
  When they told Sisera that Barak son of Abinoam had gone up to Mount Tabor,

13. 시스라가 모든 병거 곧 철병거 구백 승과 자기와 함께 있는 온 군사를 이방 하로셋에서부터 기손 강으로 모은지라
  Sisera gathered together his nine hundred iron chariots and all the men with him, from Harosheth Haggoyim to the Kishon River.

14. 드보라가 바락에게 이르되 일어나라 이는 여호와께서 시스라를 네 손에 붙이신 날이라 여호와께서 너의 앞서 행하지 아니하시느냐 이에 바락이 일만 명을 거느리고 다볼 산에서 내려가니
  Then Deborah said to Barak, "Go! This is the day the LORD has given Sisera into your hands. Has not the LORD gone ahead of you?" So Barak went down Mount Tabor, followed by ten thousand men.

15. 여호와께서 바락의 앞에서 시스라와 그 모든 병거와 그 온 군대를 칼날로 쳐서 패하게 하시매 시스라가 병거에서 내려 도보로 도망한지라
  At Barak's advance, the LORD routed Sisera and all his chariots and army by the sword, and Sisera abandoned his chariot and fled on foot.

16. 바락이 그 병거들과 군대를 추격하여 이방 하로셋에 이르니 시스라의 온 군대가 다 칼에 엎드러졌고 남은 자가 없었더라
  But Barak pursued the chariots and army as far as Harosheth Haggoyim. All the troops of Sisera fell by the sword; not a man was left.

17. 시스라가 도보로 도망하여 겐사람 헤벨의 아내 야엘의 장막에 이르렀으니 하솔 왕 야빈은 겐 사람 헤벨의 집과 화평이 있음이라
  Sisera, however, fled on foot to the tent of Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite, because there were friendly relations between Jabin king of Hazor and the clan of Heber the Kenite.

18. 야엘이 나가 시스라를 영접하며 그에게 말하되 나의 주여 들어오소서 내게로 들어오시고 두려워하지 마소서 하매 그 장막에 들어가니 야엘이 이불로 덮으니라
  Jael went out to meet Sisera and said to him, "Come, my lord, come right in. Don't be afraid." So he entered her tent, and she put a covering over him.

19. 시스라가 그에게 말하되 청하노니 내게 물을 조금 마시우라 내가 목이 마르도다 하매 젖부대를 열어 그에게 마시우고 그를 덮으니
  "I'm thirsty," he said. "Please give me some water." She opened a skin of milk, gave him a drink, and covered him up.

20. 그가 또 가로되 장막문에 섰다가 만일 사람이 와서 네게 묻기를 여기 어떤 사람이 있느냐 하거든 너는 없다 하라 하고
  "Stand in the doorway of the tent," he told her. "If someone comes by and asks you, 'Is anyone here?' say 'No.'"

21. 그가 곤비하여 깊이 잠든지라 헤벨의 아내 야엘이 장막 말뚝을 취하고 손에 방망이를 들고 그에게로 가만히 가서 말뚝을 그 살쩍에 박으매 말뚝이 꿰뚫고 땅에 박히니 시스라가 기절하여 죽으니라
  But Jael, Heber's wife, picked up a tent peg and a hammer and went quietly to him while he lay fast asleep, exhausted. She drove the peg through his temple into the ground, and he died.

22. 바락이 시스라를 따를 때에 야엘이 나가서 그를 맞아 가로되 오라 내가 너의 찾는 사람을 네게 보이리라 바락이 그에게 들어가 보니 시스라가 죽어 누웠고 말뚝은 그 살쩍에 박혔더라
  Barak came by in pursuit of Sisera, and Jael went out to meet him. "Come," she said, "I will show you the man you're looking for." So he went in with her, and there lay Sisera with the tent peg through his temple--dead.

23. 이와 같이 이 날에 하나님이 가나안 왕 야빈을 이스라엘 자손 앞에 패하게 하신지라
  On that day God subdued Jabin, the Canaanite king, before the Israelites.

24. 이스라엘 자손의 손이 가나안 왕 야빈을 점점 더 이기어서 마침내 가나안 왕 야빈을 진멸하였더라
  And the hand of the Israelites grew stronger and stronger against Jabin, the Canaanite king, until they destroyed him.

사도행전 8

1. 사울이 그의 죽임 당함을 마땅히 여기더라 그 날에 예루살렘에 있는 교회에 큰 핍박이 나서 사도 외에는 다 유대와 사마리아 모든 땅으로 흩어지니라
  And Saul was there, giving approval to his death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

2. 경건한 사람들이 스데반을 장사하고 위하여 크게 울더라
  Godly men buried Stephen and mourned deeply for him.

3. 사울이 교회를 잔멸할쌔 각집에 들어가 남녀를 끌어다가 옥에 넘기니라
  But Saul began to destroy the church. Going from house to house, he dragged off men and women and put them in prison.

4. 그 흩어진 사람들이 두루 다니며 복음의 말씀을 전할쌔
  Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.

5. 빌립이 사마리아 성에 내려가 그리스도를 백성에게 전파하니
  Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there.

6. 무리가 빌립의 말도 듣고 행하는 표적도 보고 일심으로 그의 말하는 것을 좇더라
  When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said.

7. 많은 사람에게 붙었던 더러운 귀신들이 크게 소리를 지르며 나가고 또 많은 중풍병자와 앉은뱅이가 나으니
  With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed.

8. 그 성에 큰 기쁨이 있더라
  So there was great joy in that city.

9. 그 성에 시몬이라 하는 사람이 전부터 있어 마술을 행하여 사마리아 백성을 놀라게 하며 자칭 큰 자라 하니
  Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great,

10. 낮은 사람부터 높은 사람까지 다 청종하여 가로되 이 사람은 크다 일컫는 하나님의 능력이라 하더라
  and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, "This man is the divine power known as the Great Power."

11. 오래 동안 그 마술에 놀랐으므로 저희가 청종하더니
  They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic.

12. 빌립이 하나님 나라와 및 예수 그리스도의 이름에 관하여 전도함을 저희가 믿고 남녀가 다 세례를 받으니
  But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

13. 시몬도 믿고 세례를 받은 후에 전심으로 빌립을 따라 다니며 그 나타나는 표적과 큰 능력을 보고 놀라니라
  Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw.

14. 예루살렘에 있는 사도들이 사마리아도 하나님의 말씀을 받았다 함을 듣고 베드로와 요한을 보내매
  When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them.

15. 그들이 내려가서 저희를 위하여 성령받기를 기도하니
  When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,

16. 이는 아직 한 사람에게도 성령 내리신 일이 없고 오직 주 예수의 이름으로 세례만 받을 뿐이러라
  because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

17. 이에 두 사도가 저희에게 안수하매 성령을 받는지라
  Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

18. 시몬이 사도들의 안수함으로 성령받는 것을 보고 돈을 드려
  When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money

19. 가로되 이 권능을 내게도 주어 누구든지 내가 안수하는 사람은 성령을 받게 하여 주소서 하니
  and said, "Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."

20. 베드로가 가로되 네가 하나님의 선물을 돈 주고 살 줄로 생각하였으니 네 은과 네가 함께 망할찌어다
  Peter answered: "May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!

21. 하나님 앞에서 네 마음이 바르지 못하니 이 도에는 네가 관계도 없고 분깃 될 것도 없느니라
  You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God.

22. 그러므로 너의 이 악함을 회개하고 주께 기도하라 혹 마음에 품은 것을 사하여 주시리라
  Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

23. 내가 보니 너는 악독이 가득하며 불의에 매인 바 되었도다
  For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin."

24. 시몬이 대답하여 가로되 나를 위하여 주께 기도하여 말한 것이 하나도 내게 임하지 말게 하소서 하니라
  Then Simon answered, "Pray to the Lord for me so that nothing you have said may happen to me."

25. 두 사도가 주의 말씀을 증거하여 말한 후 예루살렘으로 돌아갈새 사마리아인의 여러 촌에서 복음을 전하니라
  When they had testified and proclaimed the word of the Lord, Peter and John returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many Samaritan villages.

26. 주의 사자가 빌립더러 일러 가로되 일어나서 남으로 향하여 예루살렘에서 가사로 내려가는 길까지 가라 하니 그 길은 광야라
  Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road--the desert road--that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza."

27. 일어나 가서 보니 에디오피아 사람 곧 에디오피아 여왕 간다게의 모든 국고를 맡은 큰 권세가 있는 내시가 예배하러 예루살렘에 왔다가
  So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship,

28. 돌아가는데 병거를 타고 선지자 이사야의 글을 읽더라
  and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet.

29. 성령이 빌립더러 이르시되 이 병거로 가까이 나아가라 하시거늘
  The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it."

30. 빌립이 달려가서 선지자 이사야의 글 읽는 것을 듣고 말하되 읽는 것을 깨닫느뇨
  Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked.

31. 대답하되 지도하는 사람이 없으니 어찌 깨달을 수 있느뇨 하고 빌립을 청하여 병거에 올라 같이 앉으라 하니라
  "How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

32. 읽는 성경 귀절은 이것이니 일렀으되 저가 사지로 가는 양과 같이 끌리었고 털 깎는 자 앞에 있는 어린 양의 잠잠함과 같이 그 입을 열지 아니하였도다
  The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth.

33. 낮을 때에 공변된 판단을 받지 못하였으니 누가 가히 그 세대를 말하리요 그 생명이 땅에서 빼앗김이로다 하였거늘
  In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth."

34. 내시가 빌립더러 말하되 청컨대 묻노니 선지자가 이 말 한 것이 누구를 가리킴이뇨 자기를 가리킴이뇨 타인을 가리킴이뇨
  The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?"

35. 빌립이 입을 열어 이 글에서 시작하여 예수를 가르쳐 복음을 전하니
  Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.

36. 길 가다가 물 있는 곳에 이르러 내시가 말하되 보라 물이 있으니 내가 세례를 받음에 무슨 거리낌이 있느뇨
  As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?"

38. 이에 명하여 병거를 머물고 빌립과 내시가 둘 다 물에 내려가 빌립이 세례를 주고
  And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.

39. 둘이 물에서 올라갈새 주의 영이 빌립을 이끌어 간지라 내시는 흔연히 길을 가므로 그를 다시 보지 못하니라
  When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.

40. 빌립은 아소도에 나타나 여러 성을 지나 다니며 복음을 전하고 가이사랴에 이르니라
  Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.

예레미야 17

1. 유다의 죄는 금강석 끝 철필로 기록되되 그들의 마음 판과 그들의 단 뿔에 새겨졌거늘
  "Judah's sin is engraved with an iron tool, inscribed with a flint point, on the tablets of their hearts and on the horns of their altars.

2. 그들의 자녀가 높은 메 위 푸른 나무 곁에 있는 그 단들과 아세라들을 생각하도다
  Even their children remember their altars and Asherah poles beside the spreading trees and on the high hills.

3. 들에 있는 나의 산아 네 온 지경의 죄로 인하여 내가 네 재산과 네 모든 보물과 산당들로 노략을 당하게 하리니
  My mountain in the land and your wealth and all your treasures I will give away as plunder, together with your high places, because of sin throughout your country.

4. 내가 네게 준 네 기업에서 네 손을 뗄 것이며 또 내가 너로 너의 알지 못하는 땅에서 네 대적을 섬기게 하리니 이는 너희가 내 노로 맹렬케 하여 영영히 타는 불을 일으켰음이니라
  Through your own fault you will lose the inheritance I gave you. I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever."

5. 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 무릇 사람을 믿으며 혈육으로 그 권력을 삼고 마음이 여호와에게서 떠난 그 사람은 저주를 받을 것이라
  This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD.

6. 그는 사막의 떨기나무 같아서 좋은 일의 오는 것을 보지 못하고 광야 간조한 곳, 건건한 땅, 사람이 거하지 않는 땅에 거하리라
  He will be like a bush in the wastelands; he will not see prosperity when it comes. He will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.

7. 그러나 무릇 여호와를 의지하며 여호와를 의뢰하는 그 사람은 복을 받을 것이라
  "But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.

8. 그는 물가에 심기운 나무가 그 뿌리를 강변에 뻗치고 더위가 올찌라도 두려워 아니하며 그 잎이 청청하며 가무는 해에도 걱정이 없고 결실이 그치지 아니함 같으리라
  He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

9. 만물보다 거짓되고 심히 부패한 것은 마음이라 누가 능히 이를 알리요마는
  The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?

10. 나 여호와는 심장을 살피며 폐부를 시험하고 각각 그 행위와 그 행실대로 보응하나니
  "I the LORD search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."

11. 불의로 치부하는 자는 자고새가 낳지 아니한 알을 품음 같아서 그 중년에 그것이 떠나겠고 필경은 어리석은 자가 되리라
  Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay is the man who gains riches by unjust means. When his life is half gone, they will desert him, and in the end he will prove to be a fool.

12. 영화로우신 보좌여 원시부터 높이 계시며 우리의 성소이시며
  A glorious throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary.

13. 이스라엘의 소망이신 여호와여 무릇 주를 버리는 자는 다 수치를 당할 것이라 무릇 여호와를 떠나는 자는 흙에 기록이 되오리니 이는 생수의 근원이신 여호와를 버림이니이다
  O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the LORD, the spring of living water.

14. 여호와여 주는 나의 찬송이시오니 나를 고치소서 그리하시면 내가 낫겠나이다 나를 구원하소서 그리하시면 내가 구원을 얻으리이다
  Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise.

15. 그들이 내게 이르기를 여호와의 말씀이 어디 있느뇨 이제 임하게 할찌어다 하나이다
  They keep saying to me, "Where is the word of the LORD? Let it now be fulfilled!"

16. 나는 목자의 직분에서 물러가지 아니하고 주를 좇았사오며 재앙의 날도 내가 원치 아니하였음을 주께서 아시는 바라 내 입술에서 나온 것이 주의 목전에 있나이다
  I have not run away from being your shepherd; you know I have not desired the day of despair. What passes my lips is open before you.

17. 주는 내게 두려움이 되지 마옵소서 재앙의 날에 주는 나의 피난처시니이다
  Do not be a terror to me; you are my refuge in the day of disaster.

18. 나를 박해하는 자로 수욕을 당케 하시고 나로 수욕을 당케 마옵소서 그들로 놀라게 하시고 나로 놀라게 마시옵소서 재앙의 날을 그들에게 임하게 하시며 배나 되는 멸망으로 그들을 멸하소서
  Let my persecutors be put to shame, but keep me from shame; let them be terrified, but keep me from terror. Bring on them the day of disaster; destroy them with double destruction.

19. 여호와께서 내게 이같이 말씀하시되 너는 가서 유다 왕들의 출입하는 평민의 문과 예루살렘 모든 문에 서서
  This is what the LORD said to me: "Go and stand at the gate of the people, through which the kings of Judah go in and out; stand also at all the other gates of Jerusalem.

20. 무리에게 이르기를 이 문으로 들어오는 유다 왕들과 유다 모든 백성과 예루살렘 모든 거민 너희는 여호와의 말씀을 들을찌어다
  Say to them, 'Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and all people of Judah and everyone living in Jerusalem who come through these gates.

21. 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희는 스스로 삼가서 안식일에 짐을 지고 예루살렘 문으로 들어오지 말며
  This is what the LORD says: Be careful not to carry a load on the Sabbath day or bring it through the gates of Jerusalem.

22. 안식일에 너희 집에서 짐을 내지 말며 아무 일이든지 하지 말아서 내가 너희 열조에게 명함 같이 안식일을 거룩히 할찌어다
  Do not bring a load out of your houses or do any work on the Sabbath, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your forefathers.

23. 그들은 청종치 아니하며 귀를 기울이지 아니하며 그 목을 곧게 하여 듣지 아니하며 교훈을 받지 아니하였느니라
  Yet they did not listen or pay attention; they were stiff-necked and would not listen or respond to discipline.

24. 나 여호와가 말하노라 너희가 만일 삼가 나를 청종하여 안식일에 짐을 지고 이 성문으로 들어오지 아니하며 안식일을 거룩히 하여 아무 일이든지 하지 아니하면
  But if you are careful to obey me, declares the LORD, and bring no load through the gates of this city on the Sabbath, but keep the Sabbath day holy by not doing any work on it,

25. 다윗의 위에 앉는 왕들과 방백들이 병거와 말을 타고 이 성문으로 들어오되 그들과 유다 모든 백성과 예루살렘 거민들이 함께 그리할 것이요 이 성은 영영히 있을 것이며
  then kings who sit on David's throne will come through the gates of this city with their officials. They and their officials will come riding in chariots and on horses, accompanied by the men of Judah and those living in Jerusalem, and this city will be inhabited forever.

26. 사람들이 유다 성읍들과 예루살렘에 둘린 곳들과 베냐민 땅과 평지와 산지와 남방에서 이르러서 번제와 희생과 소제와 유향과 감사의 희생을 가지고 여호와의 집으로 오려니와
  People will come from the towns of Judah and the villages around Jerusalem, from the territory of Benjamin and the western foothills, from the hill country and the Negev, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings, incense and thank offerings to the house of the LORD.

27. 너희가 나를 청종치 아니하고 안식일을 거룩케 아니하여 안식일에 짐을 지고 예루살렘 문으로 들어오면 내가 성문에 불을 놓아 예루살렘 궁전을 삼키게 하리니 그 불이 꺼지지 아니하리라 하셨다 할찌니라
  But if you do not obey me to keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying any load as you come through the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle an unquenchable fire in the gates of Jerusalem that will consume her fortresses.'"

마가복음 3

1. 예수께서 다시 회당에 들어가시니 한편 손 마른 사람이 거기 있는지라
  Another time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there.

2. 사람들이 예수를 송사하려 하여 안식일에 그 사람을 고치시는가 엿보거늘
  Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath.

3. 예수께서 손 마른 사람에게 이르시되 한가운데 일어서라 하시고
  Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Stand up in front of everyone."

4. 저희에게 이르시되 안식일에 선을 행하는 것과 악을 행하는 것, 생명을 구하는 것과 죽이는 것, 어느 것이 옳으냐 하시니 저희가 잠잠하거늘
  Then Jesus asked them, "Which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.

5. 저희 마음의 완악함을 근심하사 노하심으로 저희를 둘러보시고 그 사람에게 이르시되 네 손을 내밀라 하시니 그가 내밀매 그 손이 회복되었더라
  He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distressed at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored.

6. 바리새인들이 나가서 곧 헤롯당과 함께 어떻게 하여 예수를 죽일꼬 의논하니라
  Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.

7. 예수께서 제자들과 함께 바다로 물러가시니 갈릴리에서 큰 무리가 좇으며
  Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the lake, and a large crowd from Galilee followed.

8. 유대와 예루살렘과 이두매와 요단 강 건너편과 또 두로와 시돈 근처에서 허다한 무리가 그의 하신 큰 일을 듣고 나아오는지라
  When they heard all he was doing, many people came to him from Judea, Jerusalem, Idumea, and the regions across the Jordan and around Tyre and Sidon.

9. 예수께서 무리의 에워싸 미는 것을 면키 위하여 작은 배를 등대하도록 제자들에게 명하셨으니
  Because of the crowd he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him, to keep the people from crowding him.

10. 이는 많은 사람을 고치셨으므로 병에 고생하는 자들이 예수를 만지고자 하여 핍근히 함이더라
  For he had healed many, so that those with diseases were pushing forward to touch him.

11. 더러운 귀신들도 어느 때든지 예수를 보면 그 앞에 엎드려 부르짖어 가로되 당신은 하나님의 아들이니이다 하니
  Whenever the evil spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God."

12. 예수께서 자기를 나타내지 말라고 많이 경계하시니라
  But he gave them strict orders not to tell who he was.

13. 또 산에 오르사 자기의 원하는 자들을 부르시니 나아온지라
  Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him.

14. 이에 열둘을 세우셨으니 이는 자기와 함께 있게 하시고 또 보내사 전도도 하며
  He appointed twelve--designating them apostles--that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach

15. 귀신을 내어쫓는 권세도 있게 하려 하심이러라
  and to have authority to drive out demons.

16. 이 열둘을 세우셨으니 시몬에게는 베드로란 이름을 더하셨고
  These are the twelve he appointed: Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);

17. 또 세베대의 아들 야고보와 야고보의 형제 요한이니 이 둘에게는 보아너게 곧 우뢰의 아들이란 이름을 더하셨으며
  James son of Zebedee and his brother John (to them he gave the name Boanerges, which means Sons of Thunder);

18. 또 안드레와 빌립과 바돌로매와 마태와 도마와 알패오의 아들 야고보와 및 다대오와 가나안인 시몬이며
  Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddaeus, Simon the Zealot

19. 또 가룟 유다니 이는 예수를 판 자러라
  and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

20. 집에 들어가시니 무리가 다시 모이므로 식사할 겨를도 없는지라
  Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat.

21. 예수의 친속들이 듣고 붙들러 나오니 이는 그가 미쳤다 함일러라
  When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, "He is out of his mind."

22. 예루살렘에서 내려온 서기관들은 저가 바알세불을 지폈다 하며 또 귀신의 왕을 힘입어 귀신을 쫓아낸다 하니
  And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, "He is possessed by Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons."

23. 예수께서 저희를 불러다가 비유로 말씀하시되 사단이 어찌 사단을 쫓아낼 수 있느냐
  So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan?

24. 또 만일 나라가 스스로 분쟁하면 그 나라가 설 수 없고
  If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

25. 만일 집이 스스로 분쟁하면 그 집이 설 수 없고
  If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

26. 만일 사단이 자기를 거스려 일어나 분쟁하면 설 수 없고 이에 망하느니라
  And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come.

27. 사람이 먼저 강한 자를 결박지 않고는 그 강한 자의 집에 들어가 세간을 늑탈치 못하리니 결박한 후에야 그 집을 늑탈하리라
  In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house.

28. 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 사람의 모든 죄와 무릇 훼방하는 훼방은 사하심을 얻되
  I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them.

29. 누구든지 성령을 훼방하는 자는 사하심을 영원히 얻지 못하고 영원한 죄에 처하느니라 하시니
  But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

30. 이는 저희가 말하기를 더러운 귀신이 들렸다 함이러라
  He said this because they were saying, "He has an evil spirit."

31. 때에 예수의 모친과 동생들이 와서 밖에 서서 사람을 보내어 예수를 부르니
  Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.

32. 무리가 예수를 둘러앉았다가 여짜오되 보소서 당신의 모친과 동생들과 누이들이 밖에서 찾나이다
  A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you."

33. 대답하시되 누가 내 모친이며 동생들이냐 하시고
  "Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked.

34. 둘러앉은 자들을 둘러보시며 가라사대 내 모친과 내 동생들을 보라
  Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers!

35. 누구든지 하나님의 뜻대로 하는 자는 내 형제요 자매요 모친이니라
  Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."
