사사기 1

1. 여호수아가 죽은 후에 이스라엘 자손이 여호와께 묻자와 가로되 우리 중 누가 먼저 올라가서 가나안 사람과 싸우리이까
  After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the LORD, "Who will be the first to go up and fight for us against the Canaanites?"

2. 여호와께서 가라사대 유다가 올라갈찌니라 보라 내가 이 땅을 그 손에 붙였노라 하시니라
  The LORD answered, "Judah is to go; I have given the land into their hands."

3. 유다가 그 형제 시므온에게 이르되 나의 제비뽑아 얻은 땅에 나와 함께 올라가서 가나안 사람과 싸우자 그리하면 나도 너의 제비뽑아 얻은 땅에 함께 가리라 이에 시므온이 그와 함께 가니라
  Then the men of Judah said to the Simeonites their brothers, "Come up with us into the territory allotted to us, to fight against the Canaanites. We in turn will go with you into yours." So the Simeonites went with them.

4. 유다가 올라가매 여호와께서 가나안 사람과 브리스 사람을 그들의 손에 붙이신지라 그들이 베섹에서 일만 명을 죽이고
  When Judah attacked, the LORD gave the Canaanites and Perizzites into their hands and they struck down ten thousand men at Bezek.

5. 또 베섹에서 아도니 베섹을 만나서 그와 싸워 가나안 사람과 브리스 사람을 죽이니
  It was there that they found Adoni-Bezek and fought against him, putting to rout the Canaanites and Perizzites.

6. 아도니 베섹이 도망하는지라 그를 쫓아가서 잡아 그 수족의 엄지가락을 끊으매
  Adoni-Bezek fled, but they chased him and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes.

7. 아도니 베섹이 가로되 옛적에 칠십 왕이 그 수족의 엄지가락을 찍히고 내 상 아래서 먹을 것을 줍더니 하나님이 나의 행한 대로 내게 갚으심이로다 하니라 무리가 그를 끌고 예루살렘에 이르렀더니 그가 거기서 죽었더라
  Then Adoni-Bezek said, "Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them." They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

8. 유다 자손이 예루살렘을 쳐서 취하여 칼날로 치고 성을 불살랐으며
  The men of Judah attacked Jerusalem also and took it. They put the city to the sword and set it on fire.

9. 그 후에 유다 자손이 내려가서 산지와 남방과 평지에 거한 가나안 사람과 싸웠고
  After that, the men of Judah went down to fight against the Canaanites living in the hill country, the Negev and the western foothills.

10. 유다가 또 가서 헤브론에 거한 가나안 사람을 쳐서 세새와 아히만과 달매를 죽였더라 헤브론의 본 이름은 기럇 아르바이었더라
  They advanced against the Canaanites living in Hebron (formerly called Kiriath Arba) and defeated Sheshai, Ahiman and Talmai.

11. 거기서 나아가서 드빌의 거민들을 쳤으니 드빌의 본 이름은 기럇 세벨이라
  From there they advanced against the people living in Debir (formerly called Kiriath Sepher).

12. 갈렙이 말하기를 기럇 세벨을 쳐서 그것을 취하는 자에게는 내 딸 악사를 아내로 주리라 하였더니
  And Caleb said, "I will give my daughter Acsah in marriage to the man who attacks and captures Kiriath Sepher."

13. 갈렙의 아우요 그나스의 아들인 옷니엘이 그것을 취한 고로 갈렙이 그 딸 악사를 그에게 아내로 주었더라
  Othniel son of Kenaz, Caleb's younger brother, took it; so Caleb gave his daughter Acsah to him in marriage.

14. 악사가 출가할 때에 그에게 청하여 자기 아비에게 밭을 구하자 하고 나귀에서 내리매 갈렙이 묻되 네가 무엇을 원하느냐
  One day when she came to Othniel, she urged him to ask her father for a field. When she got off her donkey, Caleb asked her, "What can I do for you?"

15. 가로되 내게 복을 주소서 아버지께서 나를 남방으로 보내시니 샘물도 내게 주소서 하매 갈렙이 윗샘과 아랫샘을 그에게 주었더라
  She replied, "Do me a special favor. Since you have given me land in the Negev, give me also springs of water." Then Caleb gave her the upper and lower springs.

16. 모세의 장인은 겐 사람이라 그 자손이 유다 자손과 함께 종려나무 성읍에서 올라가서 아랏 남방의 유다 황무지에 이르러 그 백성 중에 거하니라
  The descendants of Moses' father-in-law, the Kenite, went up from the City of Palms with the men of Judah to live among the people of the Desert of Judah in the Negev near Arad.

17. 유다가 그 형제 시므온과 함께 가서 스밧에 거한 가나안 사람을 쳐서 그 곳을 진멸하였으므로 그 성읍 이름을 호르마라 하니라
  Then the men of Judah went with the Simeonites their brothers and attacked the Canaanites living in Zephath, and they totally destroyed the city. Therefore it was called Hormah.

18. 유다가 또 가사와 그 경내와 아스글론과 그 경내와 에그론과 그 경내를 취하였고
  The men of Judah also took Gaza, Ashkelon and Ekron--each city with its territory.

19. 여호와께서 유다와 함께 하신 고로 그가 산지 거민을 쫓아내었으나 골짜기의 거민들은 철병거가 있으므로 그들을 쫓아내지 못하였으며
  The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had iron chariots.

20. 무리가 모세의 명한 대로 헤브론을 갈렙에게 주었더니 그가 거기서 아낙의 세 아들을 쫓아내었고
  As Moses had promised, Hebron was given to Caleb, who drove from it the three sons of Anak.

21. 베냐민 자손은 예루살렘에 거한 여부스 사람을 쫓아내지 못하였으므로 여부스 사람이 베냐민 자손과 함께 오늘날까지 예루살렘에 거하더라
  The Benjamites, however, failed to dislodge the Jebusites, who were living in Jerusalem; to this day the Jebusites live there with the Benjamites.

22. 요셉 족속도 벧엘을 치러 올라가니 여호와께서 그와 함께 하시니라
  Now the house of Joseph attacked Bethel, and the LORD was with them.

23. 요셉 족속이 벧엘을 정탐케 하였는데 그 성읍의 본 이름은 루스라
  When they sent men to spy out Bethel (formerly called Luz),

24. 탐정이 그 성읍에서 한 사람의 나오는 것을 보고 그에게 이르되 청하노니 이 성읍의 입구를 우리에게 가르치라 그리하면 너를 선대하리라 하매
  the spies saw a man coming out of the city and they said to him, "Show us how to get into the city and we will see that you are treated well."

25. 그 사람이 성읍의 입구를 가르친지라 이에 칼날로 그 성읍을 쳤으되 오직 그 사람과 그 가족을 놓아 보내매
  So he showed them, and they put the city to the sword but spared the man and his whole family.

26. 그 사람이 헷 사람의 땅에 가서 성읍을 건축하고 그 이름을 루스라 하였더니 오늘날까지 그 곳의 이름이더라
  He then went to the land of the Hittites, where he built a city and called it Luz, which is its name to this day.

27. 므낫세가 벧스안과 그 향리의 거민과 다아낙과 그 향리의 거민과 돌과 그 향리의 거민과 이블르암과 그 향리의 거민과 므깃도와 그 향리의 거민들을 쫓아내지 못하매 가나안 사람이 결심하고 그 땅에 거하였더니
  But Manasseh did not drive out the people of Beth Shan or Taanach or Dor or Ibleam or Megiddo and their surrounding settlements, for the Canaanites were determined to live in that land.

28. 이스라엘이 강성한 후에야 가나안 사람에게 사역을 시켰고 다 쫓아내지 아니하였더라
  When Israel became strong, they pressed the Canaanites into forced labor but never drove them out completely.

29. 에브라임이 게셀에 거한 가나안 사람을 쫓아내지 못하매 가나안 사람이 게셀에서 그들 중에 거하였더라
  Nor did Ephraim drive out the Canaanites living in Gezer, but the Canaanites continued to live there among them.

30. 스불론은 기드론 거민과 나할롤 거민을 쫓아내지 못하였으나 가나안 사람이 그들 중에 거하여 사역을 하였더라
  Neither did Zebulun drive out the Canaanites living in Kitron or Nahalol, who remained among them; but they did subject them to forced labor.

31. 아셀이 악고 거민과 시돈 거민과 알랍과 악십과 헬바와 아빅과 르홉 거민을 쫓아내지 못하고
  Nor did Asher drive out those living in Acco or Sidon or Ahlab or Aczib or Helbah or Aphek or Rehob,

32. 그 땅 거민 가나안 사람 가운데 거하였으니 이는 쫓아내지 못함이었더라
  and because of this the people of Asher lived among the Canaanite inhabitants of the land.

33. 납달리가 벧세메스 거민과 벧아낫 거민을 쫓아내지 못하고 그 땅 거민 가나안 사람 가운데 거하였으나 벧세메스와 벧아낫 거민들이 그들에게 사역을 하였더라
  Neither did Naphtali drive out those living in Beth Shemesh or Beth Anath; but the Naphtalites too lived among the Canaanite inhabitants of the land, and those living in Beth Shemesh and Beth Anath became forced laborers for them.

34. 아모리 사람이 단 자손을 산지로 쫓아들이고 골짜기에 내려오기를 용납지 아니하고
  The Amorites confined the Danites to the hill country, not allowing them to come down into the plain.

35. 결심하고 헤레스 산과 아얄론과 사알빔에 거하였더니 요셉 족속이 강성하매 아모리 사람이 필경은 사역을 하였으며
  And the Amorites were determined also to hold out in Mount Heres, Aijalon and Shaalbim, but when the power of the house of Joseph increased, they too were pressed into forced labor.

36. 아모리 사람의 지계는 아그랍빔 비탈의 바위부터 그 위였더라
  The boundary of the Amorites was from Scorpion Pass to Sela and beyond.

사도행전 5

1. 아나니아라 하는 사람이 그 아내 삽비라로 더불어 소유를 팔아
  Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property.

2. 그 값에서 얼마를 감추매 그 아내도 알더라 얼마를 가져다가 사도들의 발 앞에 두니
  With his wife's full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles' feet.

3. 베드로가 가로되 아나니아야 어찌하여 사단이 네 마음에 가득하여 네가 성령을 속이고 땅 값 얼마를 감추었느냐
  Then Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?

4. 땅이 그대로 있을 때에는 네 땅이 아니며 판 후에도 네 임의로 할 수가 없더냐 어찌하여 이 일을 네 마음에 두었느냐 사람에게 거짓말 한 것이 아니요 하나님께로다
  Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied to men but to God."

5. 아나니아가 이 말을 듣고 엎드러져 혼이 떠나니 이 일을 듣는 사람이 다 크게 두려워하더라
  When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. And great fear seized all who heard what had happened.

6. 젊은 사람들이 일어나 시신을 싸서 메고 나가 장사하니라
  Then the young men came forward, wrapped up his body, and carried him out and buried him.

7. 세 시간쯤 지나 그 아내가 그 생긴 일을 알지 못하고 들어오니
  About three hours later his wife came in, not knowing what had happened.

8. 베드로가 가로되 그 땅 판 값이 이것뿐이냐 내게 말하라 하니 가로되 예 이뿐이로라
  Peter asked her, "Tell me, is this the price you and Ananias got for the land?" "Yes," she said, "that is the price."

9. 베드로가 가로되 너희가 어찌 함께 꾀하여 주의 영을 시험하려 하느냐 보라 네 남편을 장사하고 오는 사람들의 발이 문 앞에 이르렀으니 또 너를 메어 내가리라 한대
  Peter said to her, "How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also."

10. 곧 베드로의 발 앞에 엎드러져 혼이 떠나는지라 젊은 사람들이 들어와 죽은 것을 보고 메어다가 그 남편 곁에 장사하니
  At that moment she fell down at his feet and died. Then the young men came in and, finding her dead, carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

11. 온 교회와 이 일을 듣는 사람들이 다 크게 두려워하니라
  Great fear seized the whole church and all who heard about these events.

12. 사도들의 손으로 민간에 표적과 기사가 많이 되매 믿는 사람이 다 마음을 같이하여 솔로몬 행각에 모이고
  The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people. And all the believers used to meet together in Solomon's Colonnade.

13. 그 나머지는 감히 그들과 상종하는 사람이 없으나 백성이 칭송하더라
  No one else dared join them, even though they were highly regarded by the people.

14. 믿고 주께로 나오는 자가 더 많으니 남녀의 큰 무리더라
  Nevertheless, more and more men and women believed in the Lord and were added to their number.

15. 심지어 병든 사람을 메고 거리에 나가 침대와 요 위에 뉘이고 베드로가 지날 때에 혹 그 그림자라도 뉘게 덮일까 바라고
  As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter's shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by.

16. 예루살렘 근읍 허다한 사람들도 모여 병든 사람과 더러운 귀신에게 괴로움 받는 사람을 데리고 와서 다 나음을 얻으니라
  Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.

17. 대제사장과 그와 함께 있는 사람 즉 사두개인의 당파가 다 마음에 시기가 가득하여 일어나서
  Then the high priest and all his associates, who were members of the party of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy.

18. 사도들을 잡아다가 옥에 가두었더니
  They arrested the apostles and put them in the public jail.

19. 주의 사자가 밤에 옥문을 열고 끌어내어 가로되
  But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out.

20. 가서 성전에 서서 이 생명의 말씀을 다 백성에게 말하라 하매
  "Go, stand in the temple courts," he said, "and tell the people the full message of this new life."

21. 저희가 듣고 새벽에 성전에 들어가서 가르치더니 대제사장과 그와 함께 있는 사람들이 와서 공회와 이스라엘 족속의 원로들을 다 모으고 사람을 옥에 보내어 사도들을 잡아오라 하니
  At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people. When the high priest and his associates arrived, they called together the Sanhedrin--the full assembly of the elders of Israel--and sent to the jail for the apostles.

22. 관속들이 가서 옥에서 사도들을 보지 못하고 돌아와 말하여
  But on arriving at the jail, the officers did not find them there. So they went back and reported,

23. 가로되 우리가 보니 옥은 든든하게 잠기고 지킨 사람들이 문에 섰으되 문을 열고 본즉 그 안에는 한 사람도 없더이다 하니
  "We found the jail securely locked, with the guards standing at the doors; but when we opened them, we found no one inside."

24. 성전 맡은 자와 제사장들이 이 말을 듣고 의혹하여 이 일이 어찌 될까 하더니
  On hearing this report, the captain of the temple guard and the chief priests were puzzled, wondering what would come of this.

25. 사람이 와서 고하되 보소서 옥에 가두었던 사람들이 성전에 서서 백성을 가르치더이다 하니
  Then someone came and said, "Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple courts teaching the people."

26. 성전 맡은 자가 관속들과 같이 가서 저희를 잡아왔으나 강제로 못함은 백성들이 돌로 칠까 두려워함이러라
  At that, the captain went with his officers and brought the apostles. They did not use force, because they feared that the people would stone them.

27. 저희를 끌어다가 공회 앞에 세우니 대제사장이 물어
  Having brought the apostles, they made them appear before the Sanhedrin to be questioned by the high priest.

28. 가로되 우리가 이 이름으로 사람을 가르치지 말라고 엄금하였으되 너희가 너희 교를 예루살렘에 가득하게 하니 이 사람의 피를 우리에게로 돌리고자 함이로다
  "We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name," he said. "Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us guilty of this man's blood."

29. 베드로와 사도들이 대답하여 가로되 사람보다 하나님을 순종하는 것이 마땅하니라
  Peter and the other apostles replied: "We must obey God rather than men!

30. 너희가 나무에 달아 죽인 예수를 우리 조상의 하나님이 살리시고
  The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead--whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree.

31. 이스라엘로 회개케 하사 죄 사함을 얻게 하시려고 그를 오른손으로 높이사 임금과 구주를 삼으셨느니라
  God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.

32. 우리는 이 일에 증인이요 하나님이 자기를 순종하는 사람들에게 주신 성령도 그러하니라 하더라
  We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."

33. 저희가 듣고 크게 노하여 사도들을 없이하고자 할쌔
  When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death.

34. 바리새인 가말리엘은 교법사로 모든 백성에게 존경을 받는 자라 공회 중에 일어나 명하여 사도들을 잠간 밖에 나가게 하고
  But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while.

35. 말하되 이스라엘 사람들아 너희가 이 사람들에게 대하여 어떻게 하려는 것을 조심하라
  Then he addressed them: "Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men.

36. 이전에 드다가 일어나 스스로 자랑하매 사람이 약 사백이나 따르더니 그가 죽임을 당하매 좇던 사람이 다 흩어져 없어졌고
  Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing.

37. 그 후 호적할 때에 갈릴리 유다가 일어나 백성을 꾀어 좇게 하다가 그도 망한즉 좇던 사람이 다 흩어졌느니라
  After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered.

38. 이제 내가 너희에게 말하노니 이 사람들을 상관 말고 버려두라 이 사상과 이 소행이 사람에게로서 났으면 무너질 것이요
  Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.

39. 만일 하나님께로서 났으면 너희가 저희를 무너뜨릴 수 없겠고 도리어 하나님을 대적하는 자가 될까 하노라 하니
  But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God."

40. 저희가 옳게 여겨 사도들을 불러들여 채찍질하며 예수의 이름으로 말하는 것을 금하고 놓으니
  His speech persuaded them. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

41. 사도들은 그 이름을 위하여 능욕받는 일에 합당한 자로 여기심을 기뻐하면서 공회 앞을 떠나니라
  The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.

42. 저희가 날마다 성전에 있든지 집에 있든지 예수는 그리스도라 가르치기와 전도하기를 쉬지 아니하니라
  Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.

예레미야 14

1. 가뭄에 대하여 예레미야에게 임한 여호와의 말씀이라
  This is the word of the LORD to Jeremiah concerning the drought:

2. 유다가 슬퍼하며 성문의 무리가 곤비하여 땅에 앉아 애통하니 예루살렘의 부르짖음이 위에 오르도다
  "Judah mourns, her cities languish; they wail for the land, and a cry goes up from Jerusalem.

3. 귀인들은 자기 사환들을 보내어 물을 길으라 하나 그들이 우물에 갔어도 물을 얻지 못하여 빈 그릇으로 돌아오니 부끄럽고 근심하여 그 머리를 가리우며
  The nobles send their servants for water; they go to the cisterns but find no water. They return with their jars unfilled; dismayed and despairing, they cover their heads.

4. 땅에 비가 없어 지면이 갈라지니 밭 가는 자가 부끄러워서 그 머리를 가리는도다
  The ground is cracked because there is no rain in the land; the farmers are dismayed and cover their heads.

5. 들의 암사슴은 새끼를 낳아도 풀이 없으므로 내어 버리며
  Even the doe in the field deserts her newborn fawn because there is no grass.

6. 들나귀들은 자산 위에 서서 시랑같이 헐떡이며 풀이 없으므로 눈이 아득하여 하는도다
  Wild donkeys stand on the barren heights and pant like jackals; their eyesight fails for lack of pasture."

7. 여호와여 우리의 죄악이 우리에게 대하여 증거할찌라도 주는 주의 이름을 위하여 일하소서 우리의 타락함이 많으니이다 우리가 주께 범죄하였나이다
  Although our sins testify against us, O LORD, do something for the sake of your name. For our backsliding is great; we have sinned against you.

8. 이스라엘의 소망이시요 곤란한 때의 구원자시여 어찌하여 이 땅에서 거류하는 자같이, 하룻밤을 유숙하는 행인같이 하시나이까
  O Hope of Israel, its Savior in times of distress, why are you like a stranger in the land, like a traveler who stays only a night?

9. 어찌하여 놀라 벙벙하는 자 같으시며 구원치 못하는 용사 같으시니이까 여호와여 주는 오히려 우리 중에 계시고 우리는 주의 이름으로 일컬음을 받는 자이오니 우리를 버리지 마옵소서
  Why are you like a man taken by surprise, like a warrior powerless to save? You are among us, O LORD, and we bear your name; do not forsake us!

10. 여호와께서 이 백성에 대하여 말씀하시되 그들이 어그러진 길을 사랑하여 그 발을 금하지 아니하므로 나 여호와가 그들을 받지 아니하고 이제 그들의 죄를 기억하고 그 죄를 벌하리라 하시고
  This is what the LORD says about this people: "They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the LORD does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins."

11. 여호와께서 또 내게 이르시되 너는 이 백성을 위하여 복을 구하지 말라
  Then the LORD said to me, "Do not pray for the well-being of this people.

12. 그들이 금식할찌라도 내가 그 부르짖음을 듣지 아니 하겠고 번제와 소제를 드릴찌라도 내가 그것을 받지 아니할뿐 아니라 칼과 기근과 염병으로 그들을 멸하리라
  Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry; though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague."

13. 이에 내가 가로되 슬프도소이다 주 여호와여 보시옵소서 선지자들이 그들에게 이르기를 너희가 칼을 보지 아니하겠고 기근은 너희에게 이르지 아니할 것이라 여호와께서 이 곳에서 너희에게 확실한 평강을 주시리라 하나이다
  But I said, "Ah, Sovereign LORD, the prophets keep telling them, 'You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.'"

14. 여호와께서 내게 이르시되 선지자들이 내 이름으로 거짓 예언을 하도다 나는 그들을 보내지 아니하였고 그들에게 명하거나 이르지 아니하였거늘 그들이 거짓 계시와 복술과 허탄한 것과 자기 마음의 속임으로 너희에게 예언하도다
  Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.

15. 그러므로 내가 보내지 아니하였어도 내 이름으로 예언하여 이르기를 칼과 기근이 이 땅에 이르지 아니하리라 하는 선지자들에 대하여 나 여호와가 이같이 이르노라 그 선지자들은 칼과 기근에 멸망할 것이요
  Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, 'No sword or famine will touch this land.' Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.

16. 그들의 예언을 받은 백성은 기근과 칼로 인하여 예루살렘 거리에 던짐을 입을 것인즉 그들을 장사할 자가 없을 것이요 그 아내와 그 아들과 그 딸도 그렇게 되리니 이는 내가 그들의 악을 그 위에 부음이니라
  And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons or their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve.

17. 너는 이 말로 그들에게 이르라 내 눈이 밤낮으로 끊치지 아니하고 눈물을 흘리리니 이는 처녀 딸 내 백성이 큰 파멸, 중한 창상을 인하여 망함이라
  "Speak this word to them: "'Let my eyes overflow with tears night and day without ceasing; for my virgin daughter--my people--has suffered a grievous wound, a crushing blow.

18. 내가 들에 나간즉 칼에 죽은 자요 내가 성에 들어간즉 기근으로 병든 자며 선지자나 제사장이나 다 땅에 두루 다니며 어찌할 바를 알지 못하는도다
  If I go into the country, I see those slain by the sword; if I go into the city, I see the ravages of famine. Both prophet and priest have gone to a land they know not.'"

19. 주께서 유다를 온전히 버리시나이까 주의 심령이 시온을 싫어하시나이까 어찌하여 우리를 치시고 치료하지 아니하시나이까 우리가 평강을 바라도 좋은 것이 없고 치료받기를 기다려도 놀람을 보나이다
  Have you rejected Judah completely? Do you despise Zion? Why have you afflicted us so that we cannot be healed? We hoped for peace but no good has come, for a time of healing but there is only terror.

20. 여호와여 우리가 우리의 악과 우리 조상의 죄악을 인정하나이다 우리가 주께 범죄하였나이다
  O LORD, we acknowledge our wickedness and the guilt of our fathers; we have indeed sinned against you.

21. 주의 이름을 위하여 우리를 미워하지 마옵소서 주의 영광의 위를 욕되게 마옵소서 우리와 세우신 주의 언약을 기억하시고 폐하지 마옵소서
  For the sake of your name do not despise us; do not dishonor your glorious throne. Remember your covenant with us and do not break it.

22. 열방의 허무한 것 중에 능히 비를 내리게 할 자가 있나이까 하늘이 능히 소나기를 내릴 수 있으리이까 우리 하나님 여호와여 그리하는 자가 주가 아니시니이까 그러므로 우리가 주를 앙망하옵는 것은 주께서 이 모든 것을 만드셨음이니이다
  Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies themselves send down showers? No, it is you, O LORD our God. Therefore our hope is in you, for you are the one who does all this.

마태복음 28

1. 안식일이 다하여 가고 안식 후 첫날이 되려는 미명에 막달라 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 보려고 왔더니
  After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

2. 큰 지진이 나며 주의 천사가 하늘로서 내려와 돌을 굴려 내고 그 위에 앉았는데
  There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it.

3. 그 형상이 번개 같고 그 옷은 눈같이 희거늘
  His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow.

4. 수직하던 자들이 저를 무서워하여 떨며 죽은 사람과 같이 되었더라
  The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

5. 천사가 여자들에게 일러 가로되 너희는 무서워 말라 십자가에 못 박히신 예수를 너희가 찾는 줄을 내가 아노라
  The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

6. 그가 여기 계시지 않고 그의 말씀하시던 대로 살아나셨느니라 와서 그의 누우셨던 곳을 보라
  He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

7. 또 빨리 가서 그의 제자들에게 이르되 그가 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나셨고 너희보다 먼저 갈릴리로 가시나니 거기서 너희가 뵈오리라 하라 보라 내가 너희에게 일렀느니라 하거늘
  Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

8. 그 여자들이 무서움과 큰 기쁨으로 무덤을 빨리 떠나 제자들에게 알게 하려고 달음질할쌔
  So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples.

9. 예수께서 저희를 만나 가라사대 평안하뇨 하시거늘 여자들이 나아가 그 발을 붙잡고 경배하니
  Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him.

10. 이에 예수께서 가라사대 무서워 말라 가서 내 형제들에게 갈릴리로 가라 하라 거기서 나를 보리라 하시니라
  Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

11. 여자들이 갈제 파숫군 중 몇이 성에 들어가 모든 된 일을 대제사장들에게 고하니
  While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.

12. 그들이 장로들과 함께 모여 의논하고 군병들에게 돈을 많이 주며
  When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money,

13. 가로되 너희는 말하기를 그의 제자들이 밤에 와서 우리가 잘 때에 그를 도적질하여 갔다 하라
  telling them, "You are to say, 'His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.'

14. 만일 이 말이 총독에게 들리면 우리가 권하여 너희로 근심되지 않게 하리라 하니
  If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble."

15. 군병들이 돈을 받고 가르친 대로 하였으니 이 말이 오늘날까지 유대인 가운데 두루 퍼지니라
  So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.

16. 열한 제자가 갈릴리에 가서 예수의 명하시던 산에 이르러
  Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go.

17. 예수를 뵈옵고 경배하나 오히려 의심하는 자도 있더라
  When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.

18. 예수께서 나아와 일러 가라사대 하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 내게 주셨으니
  Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

19. 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 족속으로 제자를 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주고
  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20. 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼찌어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라
  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
