여호수아 18-19

1. 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 실로에 모여서 거기 회막을 세웠으니 그 땅이 이미 그들의 앞에 돌아와 복종하였음이나
  The whole assembly of the Israelites gathered at Shiloh and set up the Tent of Meeting there. The country was brought under their control,

2. 이스라엘 자손 중에 그 기업의 분배를 얻지 못한 자가 오히려 일곱 지파라
  but there were still seven Israelite tribes who had not yet received their inheritance.

3. 여호수아가 이스라엘 자손에게 이르되 너희가 너희 열조의 하나님 여호와께서 너희에게 주신 땅을 취하러 가기를 어느 때까지 지체하겠느냐
  So Joshua said to the Israelites: "How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you?

4. 너희는 매지파에 삼 인씩 선정하라 내가 그들을 보내리니 그들은 일어나서 그 땅에 두루 다니며 그 기업에 상당하게 그려 가지고 내게로 돌아올 것이라
  Appoint three men from each tribe. I will send them out to make a survey of the land and to write a description of it, according to the inheritance of each. Then they will return to me.

5. 그들이 그 땅을 일곱 부분에 나누되 유다는 남편 자기 경내에 거하고 요셉의 족속은 그 북편 자기 경내에 거한즉
  You are to divide the land into seven parts. Judah is to remain in its territory on the south and the house of Joseph in its territory on the north.

6. 그 남은 땅을 일곱 부분으로 그려서 이곳 내게로 가져올찌니 내가 여기서 너희를 위하여 우리 하나님 여호와 앞에서 제비 뽑으리라
  After you have written descriptions of the seven parts of the land, bring them here to me and I will cast lots for you in the presence of the LORD our God.

7. 레위 사람은 너희 중에 분깃이 없나니 여호와의 제사장 직분이 그들의 기업이 됨이며 갓과 르우벤과 므낫세 반 지파는 요단 저편 동편에서 이미 기업을 받았나니 이는 여호와의 종 모세가 그들에게 준 것이니라
  The Levites, however, do not get a portion among you, because the priestly service of the LORD is their inheritance. And Gad, Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh have already received their inheritance on the east side of the Jordan. Moses the servant of the LORD gave it to them."

8. 그 사람들이 일어나 떠나니 여호수아가 땅을 그리러 가는 그들에게 명하여 가로되 가서 그 땅으로 두루 다니며 그려 가지고 내게로 돌아오라 내가 여기 실로에서 여호와 앞에서 너희를 위하여 제비뽑으리라
  As the men started on their way to map out the land, Joshua instructed them, "Go and make a survey of the land and write a description of it. Then return to me, and I will cast lots for you here at Shiloh in the presence of the LORD."

9. 그 사람들이 가서 그 땅으로 두루 다니며 성읍들을 따라서 일곱 부분으로 책에 그리고 실로 진에 돌아와 여호수아에게 나아오니
  So the men left and went through the land. They wrote its description on a scroll, town by town, in seven parts, and returned to Joshua in the camp at Shiloh.

10. 여호수아가 그들을 위하여 실로 여호와 앞에서 제비뽑고 그가 거기서 이스라엘 자손의 분파대로 땅을 분배하였더라
  Joshua then cast lots for them in Shiloh in the presence of the LORD, and there he distributed the land to the Israelites according to their tribal divisions.

11. 베냐민 자손 지파를 위하여 그 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니 그 제비뽑은 땅의 경계는 유다 자손과 요셉 자손의 중간이라
  The lot came up for the tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan. Their allotted territory lay between the tribes of Judah and Joseph:

12. 그 북방 경계는 요단에서부터 여리고 북편으로 올라가서 서편 산지를 넘어서 또 올라가서 벧아웬 황무지에 이르며
  On the north side their boundary began at the Jordan, passed the northern slope of Jericho and headed west into the hill country, coming out at the desert of Beth Aven.

13. 또 그 경계가 거기서부터 루스로 나아가서 루스 남편에 이르나니 루스는 곧 벧엘이며 또 그 경계가 아다롯 앗달로 내려가서 아래 벧 호론 남편 산 곁으로 지나고
  From there it crossed to the south slope of Luz (that is, Bethel) and went down to Ataroth Addar on the hill south of Lower Beth Horon.

14. 벧 호론 앞 남편 산에서부터 서방으로 돌아 남편으로 향하여 유다 자손의 성읍 기럇 바알 곧 기럇 여아림에 이르러 끝이 되나니 이는 서방 경계며
  From the hill facing Beth Horon on the south the boundary turned south along the western side and came out at Kiriath Baal (that is, Kiriath Jearim), a town of the people of Judah. This was the western side.

15. 남방 경계는 기럇 여아림 끝에서부터 서편으로 나아가 넵도아 물 근원에 이르고
  The southern side began at the outskirts of Kiriath Jearim on the west, and the boundary came out at the spring of the waters of Nephtoah.

16. 르바임 골짜기 북편 힌놈의 아들 골짜기 앞에 있는 산 끝으로 내려가고 또 힌놈의 골짜기로 내려가서 여부스 남편에 이르러 엔 로겔로 내려가고
  The boundary went down to the foot of the hill facing the Valley of Ben Hinnom, north of the Valley of Rephaim. It continued down the Hinnom Valley along the southern slope of the Jebusite city and so to En Rogel.

17. 또 북향하여 엔 세메스로 나아가서 아둠밈 비탈 맞은편 글릴롯으로 나아가서 르우벤 자손 보한의 돌까지 내려가고
  It then curved north, went to En Shemesh, continued to Geliloth, which faces the Pass of Adummim, and ran down to the Stone of Bohan son of Reuben.

18. 북으로 아라바 맞은편을 지나 아라바로 내려가고
  It continued to the northern slope of Beth Arabah and on down into the Arabah.

19. 또 북으로 벧 호글라 곁을 지나서 요단 남단에 당한 염해의 북편 해만이 그 경계의 끝이 되나니 이는 남편 경계며
  It then went to the northern slope of Beth Hoglah and came out at the northern bay of the Salt Sea, at the mouth of the Jordan in the south. This was the southern boundary.

20. 동방 경계는 요단이니 이는 베냐민 자손이 그 가족대로 얻은 기업의 사면 경계이었더라
  The Jordan formed the boundary on the eastern side. These were the boundaries that marked out the inheritance of the clans of Benjamin on all sides.

21. 베냐민 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 성읍들은 여리고와 벧 호글라와 에멕 그시스와
  The tribe of Benjamin, clan by clan, had the following cities: Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz,

22. 벧 아라바와 스마라임과 벧엘과
  Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,

23. 아윔과 바라와 오브라와
  Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,

24. 그발 암모니와 오브니와 게바니 십이 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이며
  Kephar Ammoni, Ophni and Geba--twelve towns and their villages.

25. 기브온과 라마와 브에롯과
  Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,

26. 미스베와 그비라와 모사와
  Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah,

27. 레겜과 이르브엘과 다랄라와
  Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,

28. 셀라와 엘렙과 여부스 곧 예루살렘과 기부앗과 기럇이니 십사 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이라 이는 베냐민 자손이 그 가족대로 얻은 기업이었더라
  Zelah, Haeleph, the Jebusite city (that is, Jerusalem), Gibeah and Kiriath--fourteen towns and their villages. This was the inheritance of Benjamin for its clans.

1. 둘째로 시므온 곧 시므온 자손의 지파를 위하여 그 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니 그 기업은 유다 자손의 기업 중에서라
  The second lot came out for the tribe of Simeon, clan by clan. Their inheritance lay within the territory of Judah.

2. 그 얻은 기업은 브엘 세바 곧 세바와 몰라다와
  It included: Beersheba (or Sheba), Moladah,

3. 하살 수알과 발라와 에셈과
  Hazar Shual, Balah, Ezem,

4. 엘돌랏과 브둘과 호르마와
  Eltolad, Bethul, Hormah,

5. 시글락과 벧 말가봇과 하살수사와
  Ziklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,

6. 벧 르바옷과 사루헨이니 십삼 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이며
  Beth Lebaoth and Sharuhen--thirteen towns and their villages;

7. 또 아인과 림몬과 에델과 아산이니 네 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이며
  Ain, Rimmon, Ether and Ashan--four towns and their villages--

8. 또 남방 라마 곧 바알랏 브엘까지 이 성들을 둘러 있는 모든 촌락이니 이는 시므온 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업이라
  and all the villages around these towns as far as Baalath Beer (Ramah in the Negev). This was the inheritance of the tribe of the Simeonites, clan by clan.

9. 시므온 자손의 이 기업은 유다 자손의 기업 중에서 취하였으니 이는 유다 자손의 분깃이 자기들에게 너무 많으므로 시므온 자손이 자기의 기업을 그들의 기업 중에서 얻음이었더라
  The inheritance of the Simeonites was taken from the share of Judah, because Judah's portion was more than they needed. So the Simeonites received their inheritance within the territory of Judah.

10. 세째로 스불론 자손을 위하여 그 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니 그 기업의 경계는 사릿에 미치고
  The third lot came up for Zebulun, clan by clan: The boundary of their inheritance went as far as Sarid.

11. 서편으로 올라가서 마랄라에 이르러 답베셋에 미치고 욕느암 앞 시내에 미치며
  Going west it ran to Maralah, touched Dabbesheth, and extended to the ravine near Jokneam.

12. 사릿에서부터 동편으로 돌아 해 뜨는 편을 향하고 기슬롯 다볼의 경계에 이르고 다브랏으로 나가서 야비아로 올라가고
  It turned east from Sarid toward the sunrise to the territory of Kisloth Tabor and went on to Daberath and up to Japhia.

13. 또 거기서부터 동편으로 가드 헤벨을 지나 엣 가신에 이르고 네아까지 연한 림몬으로 나아가서
  Then it continued eastward to Gath Hepher and Eth Kazin; it came out at Rimmon and turned toward Neah.

14. 북으로 돌아 한나돈에 이르고 입다엘 골짜기에 이르러 끝이 되며
  There the boundary went around on the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.

15. 또 갓닷과 나할랄과 시므론과 이달라와 베들레헴이니 모두 십이 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이라
  Included were Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah and Bethlehem. There were twelve towns and their villages.

16. 스불론 자손이 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이 성읍들과 그 촌락이었더라
  These towns and their villages were the inheritance of Zebulun, clan by clan.

17. 네째로 잇사갈 곧 잇사갈 자손을 위하여 그 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니
  The fourth lot came out for Issachar, clan by clan.

18. 그 지경 안은 이스르엘과 그술롯과 수넴과
  Their territory included: Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,

19. 하바라임과 시온과 아나하랏과
  Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,

20. 랍빗과 기시온과 에베스와
  Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,

21. 레멧과 언간님과 엔핫다와 벧 바세스며
  Remeth, En Gannim, En Haddah and Beth Pazzez.

22. 그 경계는 다볼과 사하수마와 벧 세메스에 미치고 그 끝은 요단이니 모두 십 륙 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이라
  The boundary touched Tabor, Shahazumah and Beth Shemesh, and ended at the Jordan. There were sixteen towns and their villages.

23. 잇사갈 자손 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이 성읍들과 그 촌락이었더라
  These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Issachar, clan by clan.

24. 다섯째로 아셀 자손의 지파를 위하여 그 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니
  The fifth lot came out for the tribe of Asher, clan by clan.

25. 그 지경 안은 헬갓과 할리와 베덴과 악삽과
  Their territory included: Helkath, Hali, Beten, Acshaph,

26. 알람멜렉과 아맛과 미살이며 그 경계의 서편은 갈멜에 미치며 시홀 림낫에 미치고
  Allammelech, Amad and Mishal. On the west the boundary touched Carmel and Shihor Libnath.

27. 꺾여 해돋는 편을 향하여 벧 다곤에 이르며 스불론에 달하고 북편으로 입다 엘 골짜기에 미쳐서 벧에멕과 느이엘에 이르고 가불 좌편으로 나가서
  It then turned east toward Beth Dagon, touched Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtah El, and went north to Beth Emek and Neiel, passing Cabul on the left.

28. 에브론과 르홉과 함몬과 가나를 지나 큰 시돈까지 이르고
  It went to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon and Kanah, as far as Greater Sidon.

29. 돌아서 라마와 견고한 성읍 두로에 이르고 돌아서 호사에 이르고 악십 지방 곁 바다가 끝이 되며
  The boundary then turned back toward Ramah and went to the fortified city of Tyre, turned toward Hosah and came out at the sea in the region of Aczib,

30. 또 움마와 아벡과 르홉이니 모두 이십이 성읍과 그 촌락이라
  Ummah, Aphek and Rehob. There were twenty-two towns and their villages.

31. 아셀 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이 성읍들과 그 촌락이었더라
  These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Asher, clan by clan.

32. 여섯째로 납달리 자손을 위하여 납달리 자손의 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니
  The sixth lot came out for Naphtali, clan by clan:

33. 그 경계는 헬렙과 사아난님의 상수리나무에서부터 아다미 네겝과 얍느엘을 지나 락굼까지요 그 끝은 요단이며
  Their boundary went from Heleph and the large tree in Zaanannim, passing Adami Nekeb and Jabneel to Lakkum and ending at the Jordan.

34. 서편으로 돌아 아스놋 다볼에 이르고 그 곳에서부터 나가 훅곡에 이르러는 남은 스불론에 접하였고 서는 아셀에 접하였으며 해돋는 편은 유다에 달한 요단이며
  The boundary ran west through Aznoth Tabor and came out at Hukkok. It touched Zebulun on the south, Asher on the west and the Jordan on the east.

35. 그 견고한 성읍들은 싯딤과 세르와 함맛과 락갓과 긴네렛과
  The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth,

36. 아다마와 라마와 하솔과
  Adamah, Ramah, Hazor,

37. 게데스와 에드레이와 엔 하솔과
  Kedesh, Edrei, En Hazor,

38. 이론과 믹다렐과 호렘과 벧 아낫과 벧 세메스니 모두 십구 성읍이요 또 그 촌락이라
  Iron, Migdal El, Horem, Beth Anath and Beth Shemesh. There were nineteen towns and their villages.

39. 납달리 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이 성읍들과 그 촌락이었더라
  These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Naphtali, clan by clan.

40. 일곱째로 단 자손의 지파를 위하여 그 가족대로 제비를 뽑았으니
  The seventh lot came out for the tribe of Dan, clan by clan.

41. 그 기업의 지경은 소라와 에스다올과 이르세메스와
  The territory of their inheritance included: Zorah, Eshtaol, Ir Shemesh,

42. 사알랍빈과 아얄론과 이들라와
  Shaalabbin, Aijalon, Ithlah,

43. 엘론과 딤나와 에그론과
  Elon, Timnah, Ekron,

44. 엘드게와 깁브돈과 바알랏과
  Eltekeh, Gibbethon, Baalath,

45. 여훗과 브네브락과 가드 림몬과
  Jehud, Bene Berak, Gath Rimmon,

46. 메얄곤과 락곤과 욥바 맞은편 경계까지라
  Me Jarkon and Rakkon, with the area facing Joppa.

47. 그런데 단 자손의 지경이 더욱 확장되었으니 이는 단 자손이 올라가서 레센을 쳐서 취하여 칼날로 치고 그것을 얻어 거기 거하였음이라 그 조상 단의 이름을 따라서 레센을 단이라 하였더라
  (But the Danites had difficulty taking possession of their territory, so they went up and attacked Leshem, took it, put it to the sword and occupied it. They settled in Leshem and named it Dan after their forefather.)

48. 단 자손의 지파가 그 가족대로 얻은 기업은 이 성읍들과 그 촌락이었더라
  These towns and their villages were the inheritance of the tribe of Dan, clan by clan.

49. 이스라엘 자손이 그 경계를 따라서 기업의 땅 나누기를 마치고 자기들 중에서 눈의 아들 여호수아에게 기업을 주었으되
  When they had finished dividing the land into its allotted portions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun an inheritance among them,

50. 곧 여호와의 명령대로 여호수아의 구한 성읍 에브라임 산지 딤낫 세라를 주매 여호수아가 그 성읍을 중건하고 거기 거하였었더라
  as the LORD had commanded. They gave him the town he asked for--Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim. And he built up the town and settled there.

51. 제사장 엘르아살과 눈의 아들 여호수아와 이스라엘 자손 지파의 족장들이 실로에서 회막문 여호와 앞에서 제비뽑아 나눈 기업이 이러하니라 이에 땅 나누는 일이 마쳤더라
  These are the territories that Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun and the heads of the tribal clans of Israel assigned by lot at Shiloh in the presence of the LORD at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. And so they finished dividing the land.

시편 149-150

1. 할렐루야 새 노래로 여호와께 노래하며 성도의 회중에서 찬양할찌어다
  Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.

2. 이스라엘은 자기를 지으신 자로 인하여 즐거워하며 시온의 자민은 저희의 왕으로 인하여 즐거워할찌어다
  Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.

3. 춤 추며 그의 이름을 찬양하며 소고와 수금으로 그를 찬양할찌어다
  Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.

4. 여호와께서는 자기 백성을 기뻐하시며 겸손한 자를 구원으로 아름답게 하심이로다
  For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation.

5. 성도들은 영광 중에 즐거워하며 저희 침상에서 기쁨으로 노래할찌어다
  Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.

6. 그 입에는 하나님의 존영이요 그 수중에는 두 날 가진 칼이로다
  May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,

7. 이것으로 열방에 보수하며 민족들을 벌하며
  to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,

8. 저희 왕들은 사슬로, 저희 귀인은 철고랑으로 결박하고
  to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,

9. 기록한 판단대로 저희에게 시행할찌로다 이런 영광은 그 모든 성도에게 있도다 할렐루야
  to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his saints. Praise the LORD.

1. 할렐루야 그 성소에서 하나님을 찬양하며 그 권능의 궁창에서 그를 찬양할찌어다
  Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.

2. 그의 능하신 행동을 인하여 찬양하며 그의 지극히 광대하심을 좇아 찬양할찌어다
  Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.

3. 나팔 소리로 찬양하며 비파와 수금으로 찬양할찌어다
  Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,

4. 소고 치며 춤 추어 찬양하며 현악과 퉁소로 찬양할찌어다
  praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,

5. 큰 소리 나는 제금으로 찬양하며 높은 소리 나는 제금으로 찬양할찌어다
  praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.

6. 호흡이 있는 자마다 여호와를 찬양할찌어다 할렐루야
  Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

예레미야 9

1. 어찌하면 내 머리는 물이 되고 내 눈은 눈물 근원이 될꼬 그렇게 되면 살륙당한 딸 내 백성을 위하여 주야로 곡읍하리로다
  Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people.

2. 어찌하면 내가 광야에서 나그네의 유할 곳을 얻을꼬 그렇게 되면 내 백성을 떠나가리니 그들은 다 행음하는 자요 패역한 자의 무리가 됨이로다
  Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.

3. 여호와께서 말씀하시되 그들이 활을 당김같이 그 혀를 놀려 거짓을 말하며 그들이 이 땅에서 강성하나 진실하지 아니하고 악에서 악으로 진행하며 또 나를 알지 아니하느니라
  "They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me," declares the LORD.

4. 너희는 각기 이웃을 삼가며 아무 형제든지 믿지 말라 형제마다 온전히 속이며 이웃마다 다니며 비방함이니라
  "Beware of your friends; do not trust your brothers. For every brother is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.

5. 그들은 각기 이웃을 속이며 진실을 말하지 아니하며 그 혀로 거짓말하기를 가르치며 악을 행하기에 수고하거늘
  Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning.

6. 네 처소는 궤휼 가운데 있도다 그들은 궤휼로 인하여 나 알기를 싫어하느니라 나 여호와의 말이니라 하시니라
  You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me," declares the LORD.

7. 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 보라 내가 내 딸 백성을 어떻게 처치할꼬 그들을 녹이고 연단하리라
  Therefore this is what the LORD Almighty says: "See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people?

8. 그들의 혀는 죽이는 살이라 거짓을 말하며 입으로는 그 이웃에게 평화를 말하나 중심에는 해를 도모하는도다
  Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks with deceit. With his mouth each speaks cordially to his neighbor, but in his heart he sets a trap for him.

9. 내가 이 일들을 인하여 그들에게 벌하지 아니하겠으며 내 마음이 이런 나라에 보수하지 않겠느냐 여호와의 말이니라
  Should I not punish them for this?" declares the LORD. "Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?"

10. 내가 산들을 위하여 곡하며 부르짖으며 광야 목장을 위하여 슬퍼하나니 이는 그것들이 불에 탔으므로 지나는 자가 없으며 거기서 가축의 소리가 들리지 아니하며 공중의 새도 짐승도 다 도망하여 없어졌음이니라
  I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the desert pastures. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds of the air have fled and the animals are gone.

11. 내가 예루살렘으로 무더기를 만들며 시랑의 굴혈이 되게 하겠고 유다 성읍들로 황폐케 하여 거민이 없게 하리라
  "I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals; and I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there."

12. 지혜가 있어서 이 일을 깨달을 만한 자가 누구며 여호와의 입의 말씀을 받아서 광포할 자가 누구인고 이 땅이 어찌하여 멸망하여 광야같이 타서 지나는 자가 없게 되었느뇨
  What man is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the LORD and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross?

13. 여호와께서 말씀하시되 이는 그들이 내가 그들의 앞에 세운 나의 법을 버리고 내 목소리를 청종치 아니하며 그대로 행치 아니하고
  The LORD said, "It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law.

14. 그 마음의 강퍅함을 따라 그 열조가 자기에게 가르친 바알들을 좇았음이라
  Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their fathers taught them."

15. 그러므로 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님 내가 말하노라 보라 내가 그들 곧 이 백성에게 쑥을 먹이며 독한 물을 마시우고
  Therefore, this is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: "See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water.

16. 그들과 그들의 조상이 알지 못하던 열국 중에 그들을 헤치고 진멸되기까지 그 뒤로 칼을 보내리라 하셨느니라
  I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their fathers have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have destroyed them."

17. 만군의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희는 잘 생각하고 곡하는 부녀를 불러오며 또 보내어 지혜로운 부녀를 불러오되
  This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skillful of them.

18. 그들로 빨리 와서 우리를 위하여 애곡하게 하여 우리의 눈에서 눈물이 떨어지게 하며 우리 눈꺼풀에서 물이 쏟아지게 하라
  Let them come quickly and wail over us till our eyes overflow with tears and water streams from our eyelids.

19. 이는 시온에서 호곡하는 소리가 들려 이르기를 우리가 아주 망하였구나 우리가 크게 수욕을 당하였구나 우리가 그 땅을 떠난 것은 그들이 우리 주택을 헐었음이로다 함이로다
  The sound of wailing is heard from Zion: 'How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.'"

20. 부녀들이여 여호와의 말씀을 들으라 너희 귀에 그 입의 말씀을 받으라 너희 딸들에게 애곡을 가르치며 각기 이웃에게 애가를 가르치라
  Now, O women, hear the word of the LORD; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament.

21. 대저 사망이 우리 창문에 올라오며 우리 궁실에 들어오며 밖에서는 자녀와 거리에서는 청년들을 멸절하려 하느니라
  Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has cut off the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares.

22. 너는 이같이 이르라 여호와의 말씀에 사람의 시체가 분토같이 들에 떨어질 것이며 추수하는 자의 뒤에 떨어지고 거두지 못한 뭇같이 되리라 하셨느니라
  Say, "This is what the LORD declares: "'The dead bodies of men will lie like refuse on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.'"

23. 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 지혜로운 자는 그 지혜를 자랑치 말라 용사는 그 용맹을 자랑치 말라 부자는 그 부함을 자랑치 말라
  This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,

24. 자랑하는 자는 이것으로 자랑할찌니 곧 명철하여 나를 아는 것과 나 여호와는 인애와 공평과 정직을 땅에 행하는 자인줄 깨닫는 것이라 나는 이 일을 기뻐하노라 여호와의 말이니라
  but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.

25. 여호와께서 말씀하시되 날이 이르면 할례받은 자와 할례받지 못한 자를 내가 다 벌하리니
  "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh--

26. 곧 애굽과 유다와 에돔과 암몬 자손과 모압과 및 광야에 거하여 그 머리털을 모지게 깎은 자들에게라 대저 열방은 할례를 받지 못하였고 이스라엘은 마음에 할례를 받지 못하였느니라 하셨느니라
  Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab and all who live in the desert in distant places. For all these nations are really uncircumcised, and even the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart."

마태복음 23

1. 이에 예수께서 무리와 제자들에게 말씀하여 가라사대
  Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:

2. 서기관들과 바리새인들이 모세의 자리에 앉았으니
  "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.

3. 그러므로 무엇이든지 저희의 말하는 바는 행하고 지키되 저희의 하는 행위는 본받지 말라 저희는 말만 하고 행치 아니하며
  So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.

4. 또 무거운 짐을 묶어 사람의 어깨에 지우되 자기는 이것을 한 손가락으로도 움직이려 하지 아니하며
  They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

5. 저희 모든 행위를 사람에게 보이고자 하여 하나니 곧 그 차는 경문을 넓게 하며 옷술을 크게 하고
  "Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long;

6. 잔치의 상석과 회당의 상좌와
  they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues;

7. 시장에서 문안받는 것과 사람에게 랍비라 칭함을 받는 것을 좋아하느니라
  they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them 'Rabbi.'

8. 그러나 너희는 랍비라 칭함을 받지 말라 너희 선생은 하나이요 너희는 다 형제니라
  "But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have only one Master and you are all brothers.

9. 땅에 있는 자를 아비라 하지 말라 너희 아버지는 하나이시니 곧 하늘에 계신 자시니라
  And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.

10. 또한 지도자라 칭함을 받지 말라 너희 지도자는 하나이니 곧 그리스도니라
  Nor are you to be called 'teacher,' for you have one Teacher, the Christ.

11. 너희 중에 큰 자는 너희를 섬기는 자가 되어야 하리라
  The greatest among you will be your servant.

12. 누구든지 자기를 높이는 자는 낮아지고 누구든지 자기를 낮추는 자는 높아지리라
  For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

13. 화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 너희는 천국 문을 사람들 앞에서 닫고 너희도 들어가지 않고 들어가려 하는 자도 들어가지 못하게 하는도다
  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.

15. 화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 너희는 교인 하나를 얻기 위하여 바다와육지를 두루 다니다가 생기면 너희보다 배나 더 지옥 자식이 되게 하는도다
  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.

16. 화 있을찐저 소경된 인도자여 너희가 말하되 누구든지 성전으로 맹세하면 아무 일 없거니와 성전의 금으로 맹세하면 지킬찌라 하는도다
  "Woe to you, blind guides! You say, 'If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.'

17. 우맹이요 소경들이여 어느 것이 크뇨 그 금이냐 금을 거룩하게 하는 성전이냐
  You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

18. 너희가 또 이르되 누구든지 제단으로 맹세하면 아무 일 없거니와 그 위에 있는 예물로 맹세하면 지킬찌라 하는도다
  You also say, 'If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gift on it, he is bound by his oath.'

19. 소경들이여 어느 것이 크뇨 그 예물이냐 예물을 거룩하게 하는 제단이냐
  You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred?

20. 그러므로 제단으로 맹세하는 자는 제단과 그 위에 있는 모든 것으로 맹세함이요
  Therefore, he who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.

21. 또 성전으로 맹세하는 자는 성전과 그 안에 계신 이로 맹세함이요
  And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it.

22. 또 하늘로 맹세하는 자는 하나님의 보좌와 그 위에 앉으신 이로 맹세함이니라
  And he who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.

23. 화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 너희가 박하와 회향과 근채의 십일조를 드리되 율법의 더 중한바 의와 인과 신은 버렸도다 그러나 이것도 행하고 저것도 버리지 말아야 할찌니라
  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.

24. 소경된 인도자여 하루살이는 걸러내고 약대는 삼키는도다
  You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

25. 화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 잔과 대접의 겉은 깨끗이 하되 그 안에는탐욕과 방탕으로 가득하게 하는도다
  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.

26. 소경된 바리새인아 너는 먼저 안을 깨끗이 하라 그리하면 겉도 깨끗하리라
  Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.

27. 화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 회칠한 무덤 같으니 겉으로는 아름답게 보이나 그 안에는 죽은 사람의 뼈와 모든 더러운 것이 가득하도다
  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean.

28. 이와 같이 너희도 겉으로는 사람에게 옳게 보이되 안으로는 외식과 불법이 가득하도다
  In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

29. 화 있을찐저 외식하는 서기관들과 바리새인들이여 너희는 선지자들의 무덤을 쌓고 의인들의비석을 꾸미며 가로되
  "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous.

30. 만일 우리가 조상 때에 있었더면 우리는 저희가 선지자의 피를 흘리는데 참예하지 아니하였으리라 하니
  And you say, 'If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.'

31. 그러면 너희가 선지자를 죽인 자의 자손 됨을 스스로 증거함이로다
  So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

32. 너희가 너희 조상의 양을 채우라
  Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers!

33. 뱀들아 독사의 새끼들아 너희가 어떻게 지옥의 판결을 피하겠느냐
  "You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?

34. 그러므로 내가 너희에게 선지자들과 지혜 있는 자들과 서기관들을 보내매 너희가 그 중에서 더러는 죽이고 십자가에 못 박고 그 중에 더러는 너희 회당에서 채찍질하고 이 동네에서 저 동네로 구박하리라
  Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town.

35. 그러므로 의인 아벨의 피로부터 성전과 제단 사이에서 너희가 죽인 바라갸의 아들 사가랴의 피까지 땅 위에서 흘린 의로운 피가 다 너희에게 돌아가리라
  And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

36. 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이것이 다 이 세대에게 돌아가리라
  I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation.

37. 예루살렘아 예루살렘아 선지자들을 죽이고 네게 파송된 자들을 돌로 치는 자여 암탉이 그 새끼를 날개 아래 모음같이 내가 네 자녀를 모으려 한 일이 몇 번이냐 그러나 너희가 원치 아니하였도다
  "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.

38. 보라 너희 집이 황폐하여 버린 바 되리라
  Look, your house is left to you desolate.

39. 내가 너희에게 이르노니 이제부터 너희는 찬송하리로다 주의 이름으로 오시는 이여 할 때까지 나를 보지 못하리라 하시니라
  For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'"
