열왕기하 7

1. 엘리사가 가로되 여호와의 말씀을 들을찌어다 여호와께서 가라사대 내일 이맘때에 사마리아 성문에서 고운 가루 한 스아에 한 세겔을 하고 보리 두 스아에 한 세겔을 하리라 하셨느니라
  Elisha said, "Hear the word of the LORD. This is what the LORD says: About this time tomorrow, a seah of flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria."

2. 그 때에 한 장관 곧 왕이 그 손에 의지하는 자가 하나님의 사람에게 대답하여 가로되 여호와께서 하늘에 창을 내신들 어찌 이런 일이 있으리요 엘리사가 가로되 네가 네 눈으로 보리라 그러나 그것을 먹지는 못하리라 하니라
  The officer on whose arm the king was leaning said to the man of God, "Look, even if the LORD should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?" "You will see it with your own eyes," answered Elisha, "but you will not eat any of it!"

3. 성문 어귀에 문둥이 네 사람이 있더니 서로 말하되 우리가 어찌하여 여기 앉아서 죽기를 기다리랴
  Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other, "Why stay here until we die?

4. 우리가 성에 들어가자고 할찌라도 성중은 주리니 우리가 거기서 죽을 것이요 여기 앉아 있어도 죽을찌라 그런즉 우리가 가서 아람 군대에게 항복하자 저희가 우리를 살려두면 살려니와 우리를 죽이면 죽을 따름이라 하고
  If we say, 'We'll go into the city'--the famine is there, and we will die. And if we stay here, we will die. So let's go over to the camp of the Arameans and surrender. If they spare us, we live; if they kill us, then we die."

5. 아람 진으로 가려 하여 황혼에 일어나서 아람 진 가에 이르러 본즉 그 곳에 한 사람도 없으니
  At dusk they got up and went to the camp of the Arameans. When they reached the edge of the camp, not a man was there,

6. 이는 주께서 아람 군대로 병거 소리와 말 소리와 큰 군대의 소리를 듣게 하셨으므로 아람 사람이 서로 말하기를 이스라엘 왕이 우리를 치려 하여 헷 사람의 왕들과 애굽 왕들에게 값을 주고 저희로 우리에게 오게 하였다 하고
  for the Lord had caused the Arameans to hear the sound of chariots and horses and a great army, so that they said to one another, "Look, the king of Israel has hired the Hittite and Egyptian kings to attack us!"

7. 황혼에 일어나서 도망하되 그 장막과 말과 나귀를 버리고 진을 그대로 두고 목숨을 위하여 도망하였음이라
  So they got up and fled in the dusk and abandoned their tents and their horses and donkeys. They left the camp as it was and ran for their lives.

8. 그 문둥이들이 진 가에 이르자 한 장막에 들어가서 먹고 마시고 거기서 은과 금과 의복을 가지고 가서 감추고 다시 와서 다른 장막에 들어가서 거기서도 가지고 가서 감추니라
  The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp and entered one of the tents. They ate and drank, and carried away silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.

9. 문둥이가 서로 말하되 우리의 소위가 선치 못하도다 오늘날은 아름다운 소식이 있는 날이어늘 우리가 잠잠하고 있도다 만일 밝은 아침까지 기다리면 벌이 우리에게 미칠찌니 이제 떠나 왕궁에 가서 고하자 하고
  Then they said to each other, "We're not doing right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let's go at once and report this to the royal palace."

10. 드디어 가서 성 문지기를 불러 고하여 가로되 우리가 아람 진에 이르러 보니 거기 한 사람도 없고 사람의 소리도 없고 오직 말과 나귀만 매여 있고 장막들이 그대로 있더이다
  So they went and called out to the city gatekeepers and told them, "We went into the Aramean camp and not a man was there--not a sound of anyone--only tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents left just as they were."

11. 저가 문지기들을 부르매 저희가 왕궁에 있는 자에게 고하니
  The gatekeepers shouted the news, and it was reported within the palace.

12. 왕이 밤에 일어나 그 신복들에게 이르되 아람 사람이 우리에게 행한 것을 내가 너희에게 알게 하노니 저희가 우리의 주린 것을 아는 고로 그 진을 떠나서 들에 매복하고 스스로 이르기를 저희들이 성에서 나오거든 우리가 사로잡고 성에 들어가겠다 한 것이니라
  The king got up in the night and said to his officers, "I will tell you what the Arameans have done to us. They know we are starving; so they have left the camp to hide in the countryside, thinking, 'They will surely come out, and then we will take them alive and get into the city.'"

13. 그 신복 중 하나가 대답하여 가로되 청컨대 아직 성중에 남아 있는 말 다섯 필을 취하고 사람을 보내어 정탐하게 하소서 이 말들이 성중에 남아 있는 이스라엘 온 무리 곧 멸망한 이스라엘 온 무리와 같으니이다 하고
  One of his officers answered, "Have some men take five of the horses that are left in the city. Their plight will be like that of all the Israelites left here--yes, they will only be like all these Israelites who are doomed. So let us send them to find out what happened."

14. 저희가 병거 둘과 그 말을 취한지라 왕이 아람 군대 뒤로 보내며 가서 정탐하라 하였더니
  So they selected two chariots with their horses, and the king sent them after the Aramean army. He commanded the drivers, "Go and find out what has happened."

15. 저희가 그 뒤를 따라 요단에 이른즉 아람 사람이 급히 도망하느라고 버린 의복과 군물이 길에 가득하였더라 사자가 돌아와서 왕에게 고하매
  They followed them as far as the Jordan, and they found the whole road strewn with the clothing and equipment the Arameans had thrown away in their headlong flight. So the messengers returned and reported to the king.

16. 백성들이 나가서 아람 사람의 진을 노략한지라 이에 고운 가루 한 스아에 한 세겔이 되고 보리 두 스아에 한 세겔이 되니 여호와의 말씀과 같이 되었고
  Then the people went out and plundered the camp of the Arameans. So a seah of flour sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley sold for a shekel, as the LORD had said.

17. 왕이 그 손에 의지하였던 그 장관을 세워 성문을 지키게 하였더니 백성이 성문에서 저를 밟으매 하나님의 사람의 말대로 죽었으니 곧 왕이 내려왔을 때에 그의 한 말대로라
  Now the king had put the officer on whose arm he leaned in charge of the gate, and the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died, just as the man of God had foretold when the king came down to his house.

18. 일찌기 하나님의 사람이 왕에게 고하여 이르기를 내일 이맘때에 사마리아 성문에서 보리 두 스아에 한 세겔을 하고 고운 가루 한 스아에 한 세겔을 하리라 한즉
  It happened as the man of God had said to the king: "About this time tomorrow, a seah of flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria."

19. 그 때에 이 장관이 하나님의 사람에게 대답하여 가로되 여호와께서 하늘에 창을 내신들 어찌 이 일이 있으랴 하매 대답하기를 네가 네 눈으로 보리라 그러나 그것을 먹지는 못하리라 하였더니
  The officer had said to the man of God, "Look, even if the LORD should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?" The man of God had replied, "You will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat any of it!"

20. 그 장관에게 그대로 이루었으되 곧 백성이 성문에서 저를 밟으매 죽었더라
  And that is exactly what happened to him, for the people trampled him in the gateway, and he died.

디모데전서 4

1. 그러나 성령이 밝히 말씀하시기를 후일에 어떤 사람들이 믿음에서 떠나 미혹케 하는 영과 귀신의 가르침을 좇으리라 하셨으니
  The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.

2. 자기 양심이 화인 맞아서 외식함으로 거짓말하는 자들이라
  Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

3. 혼인을 금하고 식물을 폐하라 할 터이나 식물은 하나님이 지으신 바니 믿는 자들과 진리를 아는 자들이 감사함으로 받을 것이니라
  They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

4. 하나님의 지으신 모든 것이 선하매 감사함으로 받으면 버릴 것이 없나니
  For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

5. 하나님의 말씀과 기도로 거룩하여짐이니라
  because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.

6. 네가 이것으로 형제를 깨우치면 그리스도 예수의 선한 일군이 되어 믿음의 말씀과 네가 좇은 선한 교훈으로 양육을 받으리라
  If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.

7. 망령되고 허탄한 신화를 버리고 오직 경건에 이르기를 연습하라
  Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly.

8. 육체의 연습은 약간의 유익이 있으나 경건은 범사에 유익하니 금생과 내생에 약속이 있느니라
  For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

9. 미쁘다 이 말이여 모든 사람들이 받을 만하도다
  This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance

10. 이를 위하여 우리가 수고하고 진력하는 것은 우리 소망을 살아 계신 하나님께 둠이니 곧 모든 사람 특히 믿는 자들의 구주시라
  (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of those who believe.

11. 네가 이것들을 명하고 가르치라
  Command and teach these things.

12. 누구든지 네 연소함을 업신여기지 못하게 하고 오직 말과 행실과 사랑과 믿음과 정절에 대하여 믿는 자에게 본이 되어
  Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

13. 내가 이를 때까지 읽는 것과 권하는 것과 가르치는 것에 착념하라
  Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.

14. 네 속에 있는 은사 곧 장로의 회에서 안수받을 때에 예언으로 말미암아 받은 것을 조심 없이 말며
  Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

15. 이 모든 일에 전심 전력하여 너의 진보를 모든 사람에게 나타나게 하라
  Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress.

16. 네가 네 자신과 가르침을 삼가 이 일을 계속하라 이것을 행함으로 네 자신과 네게 듣는 자를 구원하리라
  Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

■ 혼자 읽기

다니엘 11

1. 내가 또 메대 사람 다리오 원년에 일어나 그를 돕고 강하게 한 일이 있었느니라
  And in the first year of Darius the Mede, I took my stand to support and protect him.)

2. 이제 내가 참된 것을 네게 보이리라 보라 바사에서 또 세 왕이 일어날 것이요 그 후의 네째는 그들보다 심히 부요할 것이며 그가 그 부요함으로 강하여진 후에는 모든 사람을 격동시켜 헬라국을 칠것이며
  "Now then, I tell you the truth: Three more kings will appear in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the others. When he has gained power by his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece.

3. 장차 한 능력 있는 왕이 일어나서 큰 권세로 다스리며 임의로 행하리라
  Then a mighty king will appear, who will rule with great power and do as he pleases.

4. 그러나 그가 강성할 때에 그 나라가 갈라져 천하 사방에 나누일 것이나 그 자손에게로 돌아가지도 아니할 것이요 또 자기가 주장하던 권세대로도 되지 아니하리니 이는 그 나라가 뽑혀서 이 외의 사람들에게로 돌아갈 것임이니라
  After he has appeared, his empire will be broken up and parceled out toward the four winds of heaven. It will not go to his descendants, nor will it have the power he exercised, because his empire will be uprooted and given to others.

5. 남방의 왕은 강할 것이나 그 군들 중에 하나는 그보다 강하여 권세를 떨치리니 그 권세가 심히 클 것이요
  "The king of the South will become strong, but one of his commanders will become even stronger than he and will rule his own kingdom with great power.

6. 몇 해 후에 그들이 서로 맹약하리니 곧 남방 왕의 딸이 북방 왕에게 나아가서 화친하리라 그러나 이 공주의 힘이 쇠하고 그 왕은 서지도 못하며 권세가 없어질 뿐 아니라 이 공주와 그를 데리고 온 자와 그를 낳은 자와 그 때에 도와 주던 자가 다 버림을 당하리라
  After some years, they will become allies. The daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to make an alliance, but she will not retain her power, and he and his power will not last. In those days she will be handed over, together with her royal escort and her father and the one who supported her.

7. 그러나 이 공주의 본족에서 난 자 중에 하나가 그의 위를 이어 북방 왕의 군대를 치러 와서 그의 성에 들어가서 그들을 쳐서 이기고
  "One from her family line will arise to take her place. He will attack the forces of the king of the North and enter his fortress; he will fight against them and be victorious.

8. 그 신들과 부어 만든 우상들과 그 은과 금의 아름다운 기구를 다 노략하여 애굽으로 가져갈 것이요 몇 해 동안은 그가 북방 왕을 치지 아니하리라
  He will also seize their gods, their metal images and their valuable articles of silver and gold and carry them off to Egypt. For some years he will leave the king of the North alone.

9. 북방 왕이 남방 왕의 나라로 쳐들어갈 것이나 자기 본국으로 물러가리라
  Then the king of the North will invade the realm of the king of the South but will retreat to his own country.

10. 그 아들들이 전쟁을 준비하고 심히 많은 군대를 모아서 물의 넘침같이 나아올 것이며 그가 또 와서 남방 왕의 견고한 성까지 칠 것이요
  His sons will prepare for war and assemble a great army, which will sweep on like an irresistible flood and carry the battle as far as his fortress.

11. 남방 왕은 크게 노하여 나와서 북방 왕과 싸울 것이라 북방 왕이 큰 무리를 일으킬 것이나 그 무리가 그의 손에 붙인 바 되리라
  "Then the king of the South will march out in a rage and fight against the king of the North, who will raise a large army, but it will be defeated.

12. 그가 큰 무리를 사로잡은 후에 그 마음이 스스로 높아져서 수만 명을 엎드러뜨릴 것이나 그 세력은 더하지 못할 것이요
  When the army is carried off, the king of the South will be filled with pride and will slaughter many thousands, yet he will not remain triumphant.

13. 북방 왕은 돌아가서 다시 대군을 전보다 더 많이 준비하였다가 몇 때 곧 몇 해 후에 대군과 많은 물건을 거느리고 오리라
  For the king of the North will muster another army, larger than the first; and after several years, he will advance with a huge army fully equipped.

14. 그 때에 여러 사람이 일어나서 남방 왕을 칠 것이요 네 백성 중에서도 강포한 자가 스스로 높아져서 이상을 이루려 할 것이나 그들이 도리어 넘어지리라
  "In those times many will rise against the king of the South. The violent men among your own people will rebel in fulfillment of the vision, but without success.

15. 이에 북방 왕은 와서 토성을 쌓고 견고한 성읍을 취할 것이요 남방 군대는 그를 당할 수 없으며 또 그 택한 군대라도 그를 당할 힘이 없을 것이므로
  Then the king of the North will come and build up siege ramps and will capture a fortified city. The forces of the South will be powerless to resist; even their best troops will not have the strength to stand.

16. 오직 와서 치는 자가 임의로 행하리니 능히 그 앞에 설 사람이 없겠고 그가 영화로운 땅에 설 것이요 그 손에 멸망이 있으리라
  The invader will do as he pleases; no one will be able to stand against him. He will establish himself in the Beautiful Land and will have the power to destroy it.

17. 그가 결심하고 전국의 힘을 다하여 이르렀다가 그와 화친할 것이요 또 여자의 딸을 그에게 주어 그 나라를 패망케 하려 할 것이나 이루지 못하리니 그에게 무익하리라
  He will determine to come with the might of his entire kingdom and will make an alliance with the king of the South. And he will give him a daughter in marriage in order to overthrow the kingdom, but his plans will not succeed or help him.

18. 그 후에 그가 얼굴을 섬들로 돌이켜 많이 취할 것이나 한 대장이 있어서 그의 보이는 수욕을 씻고 그 수욕을 그에게로 돌릴 것이므로
  Then he will turn his attention to the coastlands and will take many of them, but a commander will put an end to his insolence and will turn his insolence back upon him.

19. 그가 드디어 그 얼굴을 돌이켜 자기 땅 산성들로 향할 것이나 거쳐 넘어지고 다시는 보이지 아니하리라
  After this, he will turn back toward the fortresses of his own country but will stumble and fall, to be seen no more.

20. 그 위를 이을 자가 토색하는 자로 그 나라의 아름다운 곳으로 두루 다니게 할 것이나 그는 분노함이나 싸움이 없이 몇 날이 못되어 망할 것이요
  "His successor will send out a tax collector to maintain the royal splendor. In a few years, however, he will be destroyed, yet not in anger or in battle.

21. 또 그 위를 이을 자는 한 비천한 사람이라 나라 영광을 그에게 주지 아니할 것이나 그가 평안한 때를 타서 궤휼로 그 나라를 얻을 것이며
  "He will be succeeded by a contemptible person who has not been given the honor of royalty. He will invade the kingdom when its people feel secure, and he will seize it through intrigue.

22. 넘치는 물 같은 군대가 그에게 넘침을 입어 패할 것이요 동맹한 왕도 그렇게 될 것이며
  Then an overwhelming army will be swept away before him; both it and a prince of the covenant will be destroyed.

23. 그와 약조한 후에 그는 거짓을 행하여 올라올 것이요 적은 백성을 거느리고 강하게 될 것이며
  After coming to an agreement with him, he will act deceitfully, and with only a few people he will rise to power.

24. 그가 평안한 때에 그 도의 가장 기름진 곳에 들어와서 그 열조와 열조의 조상이 행하지 못하던 것을 행할 것이요 그는 노략하며 탈취한 재물을 무리에게 흩어 주며 모략을 베풀어 얼마 동안 산성들을 칠 것인데 때가 이르기까지 그리하리라
  When the richest provinces feel secure, he will invade them and will achieve what neither his fathers nor his forefathers did. He will distribute plunder, loot and wealth among his followers. He will plot the overthrow of fortresses--but only for a time.

25. 그가 그 힘을 떨치며 용맹을 발하여 큰 군대를 거느리고 남방 왕을 칠 것이요 남방 왕도 심히 크고 강한 군대를 거느리고 맞아 싸울 것이나 능히 당하지 못하리니 이는 그들이 모략을 베풀어 그를 침이니라
  "With a large army he will stir up his strength and courage against the king of the South. The king of the South will wage war with a large and very powerful army, but he will not be able to stand because of the plots devised against him.

26. 자기의 진미를 먹는 자가 그를 멸하리니 그 군대가 흩어질 것이요 많은 자가 엎드러져 죽으리라
  Those who eat from the king's provisions will try to destroy him; his army will be swept away, and many will fall in battle.

27. 이 두 왕이 마음에 서로 해하고자 하여 한 밥상에 앉았을 때에 거짓말을 할 것이라 일이 형통하지 못하리니 이는 작정된 기한에 미쳐서 그 일이 끝날 것임이니라
  The two kings, with their hearts bent on evil, will sit at the same table and lie to each other, but to no avail, because an end will still come at the appointed time.

28. 북방 왕은 많은 재물을 가지고 본국으로 돌아가리니 그는 마음으로 거룩한 언약을 거스리며 임의로 행하고 본토로 돌아갈 것이며
  The king of the North will return to his own country with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant. He will take action against it and then return to his own country.

29. 작정된 기한에 그가 다시 나와서 남방에 이를 것이나 이번이 그 전번만 못하리니
  "At the appointed time he will invade the South again, but this time the outcome will be different from what it was before.

30. 이는 깃딤의 배들이 이르러 그를 칠 것임이라 그가 낙심하고 돌아가며 거룩한 언약을 한하고 임의로 행하며 돌아가서는 거룩한 언약을 배반하는 자를 중히 여길 것이며
  Ships of the western coastlands will oppose him, and he will lose heart. Then he will turn back and vent his fury against the holy covenant. He will return and show favor to those who forsake the holy covenant.

31. 군대는 그의 편에 서서 성소 곧 견고한 곳을 더럽히며 매일 드리는 제사를 폐하며 멸망케 하는 미운 물건을 세울 것이며
  "His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.

32. 그가 또 언약을 배반하고 악행하는 자를 궤휼로 타락시킬 것이나 오직 자기의 하나님을 아는 백성은 강하여 용맹을 발하리라
  With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.

33. 백성 중에 지혜로운 자가 많은 사람을 가르칠 것이나 그들이 칼날과 불꽃과 사로잡힘과 약탈을 당하여 여러 날 동안 쇠패하리라
  "Those who are wise will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by the sword or be burned or captured or plundered.

34. 그들이 쇠패할 때에 도움을 조금 얻을 것이나 많은 사람은 궤휼로 그들과 친합할 것이며
  When they fall, they will receive a little help, and many who are not sincere will join them.

35. 또 그들 중 지혜로운 자 몇 사람이 쇠패하여 무리로 연단되며 정결케 되며 희게 되어 마지막 때까지 이르게 하리니 이는 작정된 기한이 있음이니라
  Some of the wise will stumble, so that they may be refined, purified and made spotless until the time of the end, for it will still come at the appointed time.

36. 이 왕이 자기 뜻대로 행하며 스스로 높여 모든 신보다 크다 하며 비상한 말로 신들의 신을 대적하며 형통하기를 분노하심이 쉴 때까지 하리니 이는 그 작정된 일이 반드시 이룰 것임이니라
  "The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place.

37. 그가 모든 것보다 스스로 크다 하고 그 열조의 신들과 여자의 사모하는 것을 돌아보지 아니하며 아무 신이든지 돌아보지 아니할 것이나
  He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers or for the one desired by women, nor will he regard any god, but will exalt himself above them all.

38. 그 대신에 세력의 신을 공경할 것이요 또 그 열조가 알지 못하던 신에게 금 은 보석과 보물을 드려 공경할 것이며
  Instead of them, he will honor a god of fortresses; a god unknown to his fathers he will honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and costly gifts.

39. 그는 이방 신을 힘입어 크게 견고한 산성들을 취할 것이요 무릇 그를 안다 하는 자에게는 영광을 더하여 여러 백성을 다스리게도 하며 그에게서 뇌물을 받고 땅을 나눠 주기도 하리라
  He will attack the mightiest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him. He will make them rulers over many people and will distribute the land at a price.

40. 마지막 때에 남방 왕이 그를 찌르리니 북방 왕이 병거와 마병과 많은 배로 회리바람처럼 그에게로 마주 와서 그 여러 나라에 들어가며 물이 넘침같이 지나갈 것이요
  "At the time of the end the king of the South will engage him in battle, and the king of the North will storm out against him with chariots and cavalry and a great fleet of ships. He will invade many countries and sweep through them like a flood.

41. 그가 또 영화로운 땅에 들어갈 것이요 많은 나라를 패망케 할 것이나 오직 에돔과 모압과 암몬 자손의 존귀한 자들은 그 손에서 벗어나리라
  He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand.

42. 그가 열국에 그 손을 펴리니 애굽 땅도 면치 못할 것이므로
  He will extend his power over many countries; Egypt will not escape.

43. 그가 권세로 애굽의 금 은과 모든 보물을 잡을 것이요 리비아 사람과 구스 사람이 그의 시종이 되리라
  He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and all the riches of Egypt, with the Libyans and Nubians in submission.

44. 그러나 동북에서부터 소문이 이르러 그로 번민케 하므로 그가 분노하여 나가서 많은 무리를 다 도륙하며 진멸코자 할 것이요
  But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many.

45. 그가 장막 궁전을 바다와 영화롭고 거룩한 산 사이에 베풀 것이나 그의 끝이 이르리니 도와 줄 자가 없으리라
  He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.

시편 119:25-48

25. 내 영혼이 진토에 붙었사오니 주의 말씀대로 나를 소성케 하소서
  I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word.

26. 내가 나의 행위를 고하매 주께서 내게 응답하셨으니 주의 율례를 내게 가르치소서
  I recounted my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees.

27. 나로 주의 법도의 길을 깨닫게 하소서 그리하시면 내가 주의 기사를 묵상하리이다
  Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders.

28. 나의 영혼이 눌림을 인하여 녹사오니 주의 말씀대로 나를 세우소서
  My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.

29. 거짓 행위를 내게서 떠나게 하시고 주의 법을 내게 은혜로이 베푸소서
  Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through your law.

30. 내가 성실한 길을 택하고 주의 규례를 내 앞에 두었나이다
  I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws.

31. 내가 주의 증거에 밀접하였사오니 여호와여 나로 수치를 당케 마소서
  I hold fast to your statutes, O LORD; do not let me be put to shame.

32. 주께서 내 마음을 넓히시오면 내가 주의 계명의 길로 달려가리이다
  I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.

33. 여호와여 주의 율례의 도를 내게 가르치소서 내가 끝까지 지키리이다
  Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.

34. 나로 깨닫게 하소서 내가 주의 법을 준행하며 전심으로 지키리이다
  Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.

35. 나로 주의 계명의 첩경으로 행케 하소서 내가 이를 즐거워함이니이다
  Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.

36. 내 마음을 주의 증거로 향하게 하시고 탐욕으로 향치 말게 하소서
  Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.

37. 내 눈을 돌이켜 허탄한 것을 보지 말게 하시고 주의 도에 나를 소성케 하소서
  Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.

38. 주를 경외케 하는 주의 말씀을 주의 종에게 세우소서
  Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.

39. 나의 두려워하는 훼방을 내게서 떠나게 하소서 주의 규례는 선하심이니이다
  Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.

40. 내가 주의 법도를 사모하였사오니 주의 의에 나를 소성케 하소서
  How I long for your precepts! Preserve my life in your righteousness.

41. 여호와여 주의 말씀대로 주의 인자하심과 주의 구원을 내게 임하게 하소서
  May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise;

42. 그리하시면 내가 나를 훼방하는 자에게 대답할 말이 있사오리니 내가 주의 말씀을 의뢰함이니이다
  then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word.

43. 진리의 말씀이 내 입에서 조금도 떠나지 말게 하소서 내가 주의 규례를 바랐음이니이다
  Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws.

44. 내가 주의 율법을 항상 영영히 끝없이 지키리이다
  I will always obey your law, for ever and ever.

45. 내가 주의 법도를 구하였사오니 자유롭게 행보할 것이오며
  I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.

46. 또 열왕 앞에 주의 증거를 말할 때에 수치를 당치 아니하겠사오며
  I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame,

47. 나의 사랑하는 바 주의 계명을 스스로 즐거워하며
  for I delight in your commands because I love them.

48. 또 나의 사랑하는 바 주의 계명에 내 손을 들고 주의 율례를 묵상하리이다
  I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees.
