사무엘하 19

1. 혹이 요압에게 고하되 왕이 압살롬을 위하여 울며 슬퍼하시나이다 하니
  Joab was told, "The king is weeping and mourning for Absalom."

2. 왕이 그 아들을 위하여 슬퍼한다 함이 그 날에 백성들에게 들리매 그 날의 이김이 모든 백성에게 슬픔이 된지라
  And for the whole army the victory that day was turned into mourning, because on that day the troops heard it said, "The king is grieving for his son."

3. 그 날에 백성들이 싸움에 쫓겨 부끄러워 도망함같이 가만히 성으로 들어가니라
  The men stole into the city that day as men steal in who are ashamed when they flee from battle.

4. 왕이 얼굴을 가리우고 큰 소리로 부르되 내 아들 압살롬아 압살롬아 내 아들아 내 아들아 하니
  The king covered his face and cried aloud, "O my son Absalom! O Absalom, my son, my son!"

5. 요압이 집에 들어가서 왕께 말씀하되 왕께서 오늘 왕의 생명과 왕의 자녀의 생명과 처첩들의 생명을 구원한 모든 신복의 얼굴을 부끄럽게 하시니
  Then Joab went into the house to the king and said, "Today you have humiliated all your men, who have just saved your life and the lives of your sons and daughters and the lives of your wives and concubines.

6. 이는 왕께서 미워하는 자는 사랑하시며 사랑하는 자는 미워하시고 오늘 장관들과 신복들을 멸시하심을 나타내심이라 오늘 내가 깨달으니 만일 압살롬이 살고 오늘 우리가 다 죽었더면 왕이 마땅히 여기실 뻔하였나이다
  You love those who hate you and hate those who love you. You have made it clear today that the commanders and their men mean nothing to you. I see that you would be pleased if Absalom were alive today and all of us were dead.

7. 이제 곧 일어나 나가서 왕의 신복들의 마음을 위로하여 말씀하옵소서 내가 여호와를 가리켜 맹세하옵나니 왕이 만일 나가지 아니 하시면 오늘 밤에 한 사람도 왕과 함께 머물지 아니할찌라 그리하면 그 화가 왕이 젊었을 때부터 지금까지 당하신 모든 화보다 더욱 심하리이다
  Now go out and encourage your men. I swear by the LORD that if you don't go out, not a man will be left with you by nightfall. This will be worse for you than all the calamities that have come upon you from your youth till now."

8. 왕이 일어나 성문에 앉으매 혹이 모든 백성에게 고하되 왕이 문에 앉아 계시다 하니 모든 백성이 왕의 앞으로 나아오니라 이스라엘은 이미 각기 장막으로 도망하였더라
  So the king got up and took his seat in the gateway. When the men were told, "The king is sitting in the gateway," they all came before him. Meanwhile, the Israelites had fled to their homes.

9. 이스라엘 모든 지파 백성들이 변론하여 가로되 왕이 우리를 원수의 손에서 구원하여 내셨고 또 우리를 블레셋 사람의 손에서 구원하셨으나 이제 압살롬을 피하여 나라에서 나가셨고
  Throughout the tribes of Israel, the people were all arguing with each other, saying, "The king delivered us from the hand of our enemies; he is the one who rescued us from the hand of the Philistines. But now he has fled the country because of Absalom;

10. 우리가 기름을 부어 우리를 다스리게 한 압살롬은 싸움에 죽었거늘 이제 너희가 어찌하여 왕을 도로 모셔 올 일에 잠잠하고 있느냐 하니라
  and Absalom, whom we anointed to rule over us, has died in battle. So why do you say nothing about bringing the king back?"

11. 다윗 왕이 사독과 아비아달 두 제사장에게 기별하여 가로되 너희는 유다 장로들에게 고하여 이르기를 왕의 말씀이 온 이스라엘이 왕을 궁으로 도로 모셔 오자 하는 말이 왕께 들렸거늘 너희는 어찌하여 궁으로 모시는 일에 나중이 되느냐
  King David sent this message to Zadok and Abiathar, the priests: "Ask the elders of Judah, 'Why should you be the last to bring the king back to his palace, since what is being said throughout Israel has reached the king at his quarters?

12. 너희는 내 형제요 내 골육이어늘 어찌하여 왕을 도로 모셔 오는 일에 나중이 되리요 하셨다 하고
  You are my brothers, my own flesh and blood. So why should you be the last to bring back the king?'

13. 너희는 또 아마사에게 이르기를 너는 내 골육이 아니냐 네가 요압을 대신하여 항상 내 앞에서 군장이 되지 아니하면 하나님이 내게 벌 위에 벌을 내리시기를 바라노라 하셨다 하라 하여
  And say to Amasa, 'Are you not my own flesh and blood? May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if from now on you are not the commander of my army in place of Joab.'"

14. 모든 유다 사람들로 마음을 일제히 돌리게 하매 저희가 왕께 보내어 가로되 왕은 모든 신복으로 더불어 돌아오소서 한지라
  He won over the hearts of all the men of Judah as though they were one man. They sent word to the king, "Return, you and all your men."

15. 왕이 돌아와 요단에 이르매 유다 족속이 왕을 맞아 요단을 건네려 하여 길갈로 오니라
  Then the king returned and went as far as the Jordan. Now the men of Judah had come to Gilgal to go out and meet the king and bring him across the Jordan.

16. 바후림에 있는 베냐민 사람 게라의 아들 시므이가 급히 유다 사람과 함께 다윗 왕을 맞으려 내려올 때에
  Shimei son of Gera, the Benjamite from Bahurim, hurried down with the men of Judah to meet King David.

17. 베냐민 사람 일천 명이 저와 함께 하고 사울의 사환 시바도 그 아들 열다섯과 종 스무 명으로 더불어 저와 함께 하여 요단 강을 밟고 건너 왕의 앞으로 나아오니라
  With him were a thousand Benjamites, along with Ziba, the steward of Saul's household, and his fifteen sons and twenty servants. They rushed to the Jordan, where the king was.

18. 왕의 가족을 건네려 하며 왕의 선히 여기는 대로 쓰게 하려 하여 나룻배가 건너가니 왕이 요단을 건너려 할 때에 게라의 아들 시므이가 왕의 앞에 엎드려
  They crossed at the ford to take the king's household over and to do whatever he wished. When Shimei son of Gera crossed the Jordan, he fell prostrate before the king

19. 왕께 고하되 내 주여 원컨대 내게 죄 주지 마옵소서 내 주 왕께서 예루살렘에서 나오시던 날에 종의 패역한 일을 기억하지 마옵시며 마음에 두지 마옵소서
  and said to him, "May my lord not hold me guilty. Do not remember how your servant did wrong on the day my lord the king left Jerusalem. May the king put it out of his mind.

20. 왕의 종 내가 범죄한 줄 아옵는 고로 오늘 요셉의 온 족속 중 내가 먼저 내려와서 내 주 왕을 영접하나이다
  For I your servant know that I have sinned, but today I have come here as the first of the whole house of Joseph to come down and meet my lord the king."

21. 스루야의 아들 아비새가 대답하여 가로되 시므이가 여호와의 기름 부으신 자를 저주하였으니 그로 인하여 죽어야 마땅치 아니하니이까
  Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said, "Shouldn't Shimei be put to death for this? He cursed the LORD'S anointed."

22. 다윗이 가로되 스루야의 아들들아 내가 너희와 무슨 상관이 있기로 너희가 오늘 나의 대적이 되느냐 오늘 어찌하여 이스라엘 가운데서 사람을 죽이겠느냐 내가 오늘날 이스라엘의 왕이 된 것을 내가 알지 못하리요 하고
  David replied, "What do you and I have in common, you sons of Zeruiah? This day you have become my adversaries! Should anyone be put to death in Israel today? Do I not know that today I am king over Israel?"

23. 시므이에게 이르되 네가 죽지 아니하리라 하고 저에게 맹세하니라
  So the king said to Shimei, "You shall not die." And the king promised him on oath.

24. 사울의 손자 므비보셋이 내려와서 왕을 맞으니 저는 왕의 떠난 날부터 평안히 돌아오는 날까지 그 발을 맵시 내지 아니하며 그 수염을 깎지 아니하며 옷을 빨지 아니하였더라
  Mephibosheth, Saul's grandson, also went down to meet the king. He had not taken care of his feet or trimmed his mustache or washed his clothes from the day the king left until the day he returned safely.

25. 예루살렘에서 와서 왕을 맞을 때에 왕이 저에게 물어 가로되 므비보셋이여 네가 어찌하여 나와 함께 가지 아니하였더뇨
  When he came from Jerusalem to meet the king, the king asked him, "Why didn't you go with me, Mephibosheth?"

26. 대답하되 내 주 왕이여 왕의 종 나는 절뚝발이이므로 내 나귀에 안장을 지워 타고 왕과 함께 가려 하였더니 나의 종이 나를 속이고
  He said, "My lord the king, since I your servant am lame, I said, 'I will have my donkey saddled and will ride on it, so I can go with the king.' But Ziba my servant betrayed me.

27. 종 나를 내 주 왕께 참소하였나이다 내 주 왕께서는 하나님의 사자와 같으시니 왕의 처분대로 하옵소서
  And he has slandered your servant to my lord the king. My lord the king is like an angel of God; so do whatever pleases you.

28. 내 아비의 온 집이 내 주 왕 앞에서는 다만 죽을 사람이 되지 아니하였었나이까 그러나 종을 왕의 상에서 음식 먹는 자 가운데 두셨사오니 내게 오히려 무슨 옳음이 있어서 다시 왕께 부르짖을 수 있사오리이까
  All my grandfather's descendants deserved nothing but death from my lord the king, but you gave your servant a place among those who sat at your table. So what right do I have to make any more appeals to the king?"

29. 왕이 저에게 이르되 네가 어찌하여 또 네 일을 말하느냐 내가 이르노니 너는 시바와 밭을 나누라
  The king said to him, "Why say more? I order you and Ziba to divide the fields."

30. 므비보셋이 왕께 고하되 내 주 왕께서 평안히 궁에 돌아오시게 되었으니 저로 그 전부를 차지하게 하옵소서 하니라
  Mephibosheth said to the king, "Let him take everything, now that my lord the king has arrived home safely."

31. 길르앗 사람 바르실래가 왕을 보내어 요단을 건네려고 로글림에서 내려와서 함께 요단에 이르니
  Barzillai the Gileadite also came down from Rogelim to cross the Jordan with the king and to send him on his way from there.

32. 바르실래는 매우 늙어 나이 팔십 세라 저는 거부인 고로 왕이 마하나임에 유할 때에 왕을 공궤하였더라
  Now Barzillai was a very old man, eighty years of age. He had provided for the king during his stay in Mahanaim, for he was a very wealthy man.

33. 왕이 바르실래에게 이르되 너는 나와 함께 건너가자 예루살렘에서 내가 너를 공궤하리라
  The king said to Barzillai, "Cross over with me and stay with me in Jerusalem, and I will provide for you."

34. 바르실래가 왕께 고하되 내 생명의 날이 얼마나 있삽관대 어찌 왕과 함께 예루살렘으로 올라가리이까
  But Barzillai answered the king, "How many more years will I live, that I should go up to Jerusalem with the king?

35. 내 나이 이제 팔십 세라 어떻게 좋고 흉한 것을 분간할 수 있사오며 음식의 맛을 알 수 있사오리이까 어떻게 다시 노래하는 남자나 여인의 소리를 알아 들을 수 있사오리이까 어찌하여 종이 내 주 왕께 오히려 누를 끼치리이까
  I am now eighty years old. Can I tell the difference between what is good and what is not? Can your servant taste what he eats and drinks? Can I still hear the voices of men and women singers? Why should your servant be an added burden to my lord the king?

36. 종은 왕을 모시고 요단을 건너려는 것뿐이어늘 왕께서 어찌하여 이같은 상으로 내게 갚으려 하시나이까
  Your servant will cross over the Jordan with the king for a short distance, but why should the king reward me in this way?

37. 청컨대 종을 돌려 보내옵소서 내가 내 본성 부모의 묘 곁에서 죽으려 하나이다 그러나 왕의 종 김함이 여기 있사오니 청컨대 저로 내 주 왕과 함께 건너가게 하옵시고 왕의 처분대로 저에게 베푸소서
  Let your servant return, that I may die in my own town near the tomb of my father and mother. But here is your servant Kimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king. Do for him whatever pleases you."

38. 왕이 대답하되 김함이 나와 함께 건너가리니 내가 너의 좋아하는 대로 저에게 베풀겠고 또 네가 내게 구하는 것은 다 너를 위하여 시행하리라 하니라
  The king said, "Kimham shall cross over with me, and I will do for him whatever pleases you. And anything you desire from me I will do for you."

39. 백성이 다 요단을 건너매 왕도 건너가서 바르실래의 입을 맞추고 위하여 복을 비니 저가 자기 곳으로 돌아가니라
  So all the people crossed the Jordan, and then the king crossed over. The king kissed Barzillai and gave him his blessing, and Barzillai returned to his home.

40. 왕이 길갈로 건너오고 김함도 함께 건너오니 온 유다 백성과 이스라엘 백성의 절반이나 왕을 호행하니라
  When the king crossed over to Gilgal, Kimham crossed with him. All the troops of Judah and half the troops of Israel had taken the king over.

41. 온 이스라엘 사람이 왕께 나아와서 고하되 우리 형제 유다 사람들이 어찌 왕을 도적하여 왕과 왕의 권속과 왕을 좇는 모든 사람을 인도하여 요단을 건네었나이까 하매
  Soon all the men of Israel were coming to the king and saying to him, "Why did our brothers, the men of Judah, steal the king away and bring him and his household across the Jordan, together with all his men?"

42. 유다 모든 사람이 이스라엘 사람에게 대답하되 왕은 우리의 지친인 까닭이라 너희가 어찌 이 일에 대하여 분내느냐 우리가 왕의 물건을 조금이라도 먹었느냐 왕께서 우리에게 선물 주신 것이 있느냐
  All the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, "We did this because the king is closely related to us. Why are you angry about it? Have we eaten any of the king's provisions? Have we taken anything for ourselves?"

43. 이스라엘 사람이 유다 사람에게 대답하여 이르되 우리는 왕에 대하여 십분을 가졌으니 다윗에게 대하여 너희보다 더욱 관계가 있거늘 너희가 어찌 우리를 멸시하여 우리 왕을 모셔 오는 일에 먼저 우리와 의논하지 아니하였느냐 하나 유다 사람의 말이 이스라엘 사람의 말보다 더 강경하였더라
  Then the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, "We have ten shares in the king; and besides, we have a greater claim on David than you have. So why do you treat us with contempt? Were we not the first to speak of bringing back our king?" But the men of Judah responded even more harshly than the men of Israel.

고린도후서 12

1. 무익하나마 내가 부득불 자랑하노니 주의 환상과 계시를 말하리라
  I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord.

2. 내가 그리스도 안에 있는 한 사람을 아노니 십 사년 전에 그가 세째 하늘에 이끌려 간 자라 (그가 몸 안에 있었는지 몸 밖에 있었는지 나는 모르거니와 하나님은 아시느니라)
  I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know--God knows.

3. 내가 이런 사람을 아노니 (그가 몸 안에 있었는지 몸 밖에 있었는지 나는 모르거니와 하나님은 아시느니라)
  And I know that this man--whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows--

4. 그가 낙원으로 이끌려 가서 말할 수 없는 말을 들었으니 사람이 가히 이르지 못할 말이로다
  was caught up to paradise. He heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell.

5. 내가 이런 사람을 위하여 자랑하겠으나 나를 위하여는 약한 것들 외에 자랑치 아니하리라
  I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses.

6. 내가 만일 자랑하고자 하여도 어리석은 자가 되지 아니할 것은 내가 참말을 함이라 그러나 누가 나를 보는 바와 내게 듣는 바에 지나치게 생각할까 두려워하여 그만 두노라
  Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say.

7. 여러 계시를 받은 것이 지극히 크므로 너무 자고하지 않게 하시려고 내 육체에 가시 곧 사단의 사자를 주셨으니 이는 나를 쳐서 너무 자고하지 않게 하려 하심이니라
  To keep me from becoming conceited because of these surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me.

8. 이것이 내게서 떠나기 위하여 내가 세 번 주께 간구하였더니
  Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me.

9. 내게 이르시기를 내 은혜가 네게 족하도다 이는 내 능력이 약한 데서 온전하여짐이라 하신지라 이러므로 도리어 크게 기뻐함으로 나의 여러 약한 것들에 대하여 자랑하리니 이는 그리스도의 능력으로 내게 머물게 하려 함이라
  But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

10. 그러므로 내가 그리스도를 위하여 약한 것들과 능욕과 궁핍과 핍박과 곤란을 기뻐하노니 이는 내가 약할 그 때에 곧 강함이니라
  That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

11. 내가 어리석은 자가 되었으나 너희가 억지로 시킨 것이니 내가 너희에게 칭찬을 받아야 마땅하도다 내가 아무것도 아니나 지극히 큰 사도들보다 조금도 부족하지 아니하니라
  I have made a fool of myself, but you drove me to it. I ought to have been commended by you, for I am not in the least inferior to the "super-apostles," even though I am nothing.

12. 사도의 표 된 것은 내가 너희 가운데서 모든 참음과 표적과 기사와 능력을 행한 것이라
  The things that mark an apostle--signs, wonders and miracles--were done among you with great perseverance.

13. 내 자신이 너희에게 폐를 끼치지 아니한 일밖에 다른 교회보다 부족하게 한 것이 무엇이 있느냐 너희는 나의 이 공평치 못한 것을 용서하라
  How were you inferior to the other churches, except that I was never a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong!

14. 보라 이제 세 번째 너희에게 가기를 예비하였으나 너희에게 폐를 끼치지 아니하리라 나의 구하는 것은 너희 재물이 아니요 오직 너희니라 어린아이가 부모를 위하여 재물을 저축하는 것이 아니요 이에 부모가 어린아이를 위하여 하느니라
  Now I am ready to visit you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you. After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

15. 내가 너희 영혼을 위하여 크게 기뻐함으로 재물을 허비하고 또 내 자신까지 허비하리니 너희를 더욱 사랑할수록 나는 덜 사랑을 받겠느냐
  So I will very gladly spend for you everything I have and expend myself as well. If I love you more, will you love me less?

16. 하여간 어떤 이의 말이 내가 너희에게 짐을 지우지는 아니하였을지라도 공교한 자가 되어 궤계로 너희를 취하였다 하니
  Be that as it may, I have not been a burden to you. Yet, crafty fellow that I am, I caught you by trickery!

17. 내가 너희에게 보낸 자 중에 누구로 너희의 이를 취하더냐
  Did I exploit you through any of the men I sent you?

18. 내가 디도를 권하고 함께 한 형제를 보내었으니 디도가 너희의 이를 취하더냐 우리가 동일한 성령으로 행하지 아니하더냐 동일한 보조로 하지 아니하더냐
  I urged Titus to go to you and I sent our brother with him. Titus did not exploit you, did he? Did we not act in the same spirit and follow the same course?

19. 이 때까지 우리가 우리를 너희에게 변명하는 줄로 생각하는구나 우리가 그리스도 안에서 하나님 앞에 말하노라 사랑하는 자들아 이 모든 것은 너희의 덕을 세우기 위함이니라
  Have you been thinking all along that we have been defending ourselves to you? We have been speaking in the sight of God as those in Christ; and everything we do, dear friends, is for your strengthening.

20. 내가 갈 때에 너희를 나의 원하는 것과 같이 보지 못하고 또 내가 너희에게 너희의 원치 않는 것과 같이 보일까 두려워하며 또 다툼과 시기와 분냄과 당짓는 것과 중상함과 수군수군하는 것과 거만함과 어지러운 것이 있을까 두려워하고
  For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, factions, slander, gossip, arrogance and disorder.

21. 또 내가 다시 갈 때에 내 하나님이 나를 너희 앞에서 낮추실까 두려워하고 또 내가 전에 죄를 지은 여러 사람의 그 행한 바 더러움과 음란함과 호색함을 회개치 아니함을 인하여 근심할까 두려워하노라
  I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.

에스겔 26

1. 제 십일 년 어느 달 초일일에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 가라사대
  In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me:

2. 인자야 두로가 예루살렘을 쳐서 이르기를 아하 좋다 만민의 문이 깨어져서 내게로 돌아왔도다 그가 황무하였으니 내가 충만함을 얻으리라 하였도다
  "Son of man, because Tyre has said of Jerusalem, 'Aha! The gate to the nations is broken, and its doors have swung open to me; now that she lies in ruins I will prosper,'

3. 그러므로 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 두로야 내가 너를 대적하여 바다가 그 파도로 흉용케 함같이 열국으로 와서 너를 치게 하리니
  therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea casting up its waves.

4. 그들이 두로의 성벽을 훼파하며 그 망대를 헐 것이요 나도 티끌을 그 위에서 쓸어 버려서 말간 반석이 되게 하며
  They will destroy the walls of Tyre and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock.

5. 바다 가운데 그물 치는 곳이 되게 하리니 내가 말하였음이니라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라 그가 이방의 노략거리가 될 것이요
  Out in the sea she will become a place to spread fishnets, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD. She will become plunder for the nations,

6. 들에 있는 그의 딸들은 칼에 죽으리니 그들이 나를 여호와인 줄 알리라
  and her settlements on the mainland will be ravaged by the sword. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

7. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 열왕의 왕 곧 바벨론 왕 느부갓네살로 북방에서 말과 병거와 기병과 군대와 백성의 큰 무리를 거느리고 와서 두로를 치게 할 때에
  "For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: From the north I am going to bring against Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses and chariots, with horsemen and a great army.

8. 그가 들에 있는 너의 딸들을 칼로 죽이고 너를 치려고 운제를 세우며 토성을 쌓으며 방패를 갖출 것이며
  He will ravage your settlements on the mainland with the sword; he will set up siege works against you, build a ramp up to your walls and raise his shields against you.

9. 공성퇴를 베풀어 네 성을 치며 도끼로 망대를 찍을 것이며
  He will direct the blows of his battering rams against your walls and demolish your towers with his weapons.

10. 말이 많으므로 그 티끌이 너를 가리울 것이며 사람이 훼파된 성 구멍으로 들어가는 것같이 그가 네 성문으로 들어갈 때에 그 기병과 수레와 병거의 소리로 인하여 네 성곽이 진동할 것이며
  His horses will be so many that they will cover you with dust. Your walls will tremble at the noise of the war horses, wagons and chariots when he enters your gates as men enter a city whose walls have been broken through.

11. 그가 그 말굽으로 네 모든 거리를 밟을 것이며 칼로 네 백성을 죽일 것이며 네 견고한 석상을 땅에 엎드러뜨릴 것이며
  The hoofs of his horses will trample all your streets; he will kill your people with the sword, and your strong pillars will fall to the ground.

12. 네 재물을 빼앗을 것이며 네 무역한 것을 노략할 것이며 네 성을 헐 것이며 네 기뻐하는 집을 무너뜨릴 것이며 또 네 돌들과 네 재목과 네 흙을 다 물 가운데 던질 것이라
  They will plunder your wealth and loot your merchandise; they will break down your walls and demolish your fine houses and throw your stones, timber and rubble into the sea.

13. 내가 네 노래 소리로 그치게 하며 네 수금 소리로 다시 들리지 않게 하고
  I will put an end to your noisy songs, and the music of your harps will be heard no more.

14. 너로 말간 반석이 되게 한즉 네가 그물 말리는 곳이 되고 다시는 건축되지 못하리니 나 여호와가 말하였음이니라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라
  I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishnets. You will never be rebuilt, for I the LORD have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD.

15. 주 여호와께서 두로를 대하여 말씀하시되 너의 엎드러지는 소리에 모든 섬이 진동하지 아니하겠느냐 곧 너희 중에 상한 자가 부르짖으며 살륙을 당할 때에라
  "This is what the Sovereign LORD says to Tyre: Will not the coastlands tremble at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan and the slaughter takes place in you?

16. 그 때에 바다의 모든 왕이 그 보좌에서 내려 조복을 벗으며 수놓은 옷을 버리고 떨림을 입듯 하고 땅에 앉아서 너로 인하여 무시로 떨며 놀랄 것이며
  Then all the princes of the coast will step down from their thrones and lay aside their robes and take off their embroidered garments. Clothed with terror, they will sit on the ground, trembling every moment, appalled at you.

17. 그들이 너를 위하여 애가를 불러 이르기를 항해자의 거한 유명한 성이여 너와 너의 거민이 바다 가운데 있어 견고하였었도다 해변의 모든 거민을 두렵게 하였더니 어찌 그리 멸망하였는고
  Then they will take up a lament concerning you and say to you: "'How you are destroyed, O city of renown, peopled by men of the sea! You were a power on the seas, you and your citizens; you put your terror on all who lived there.

18. 너의 무너지는 그 날에 섬들이 진동할 것임이여 바다 가운데 섬들이 네 결국을 보고 놀라리로다 하리라
  Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your fall; the islands in the sea are terrified at your collapse.'

19. 나 주 여호와가 말하노라 내가 너로 거민이 없는 성과 같이 황무한 성이 되게 하고 깊은 바다로 네 위에 오르게 하며 큰 물로 너를 덮게 할 때에
  "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: When I make you a desolate city, like cities no longer inhabited, and when I bring the ocean depths over you and its vast waters cover you,

20. 내가 너로 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 내려가서 옛적 사람에게로 나아가게 하고 너로 그 구덩이에 내려간 자와 함께 땅 깊은 곳 예로부터 황적한 곳에 거하게 할찌라 네가 다시는 사람이 거하는 곳이 되지 못하리니 산 자의 땅에서 영광을 얻지 못하리라
  then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of long ago. I will make you dwell in the earth below, as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, and you will not return or take your place in the land of the living.

21. 내가 너를 패망케 하여 다시 있지 못하게 하리니 사람이 비록 너를 찾으나 다시는 영원히 만나지 못하리라 나 주 여호와의 말이니라
  I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign LORD."

시편 74

1. 하나님이여 주께서 어찌하여 우리를 영원히 버리시나이까 어찌하여 주의 치시는 양을 향하여 진노의 연기를 발하시나이까
  A maskil of Asaph. Why have you rejected us forever, O God? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?

2. 옛적부터 얻으시고 구속하사 주의 기업의 지파로 삼으신 주의 회중을 기억하시며 주의 거하신 시온 산도 생각하소서
  Remember the people you purchased of old, the tribe of your inheritance, whom you redeemed--Mount Zion, where you dwelt.

3. 영구히 파멸된 곳으로 주의 발을 드십소서 원수가 성소에서 모든 악을 행하였나이다
  Turn your steps toward these everlasting ruins, all this destruction the enemy has brought on the sanctuary.

4. 주의 대적이 주의 회중에서 훤화하며 자기 기를 세워 표적을 삼았으니
  Your foes roared in the place where you met with us; they set up their standards as signs.

5. 저희는 마치 도끼를 들어 삼림을 베는 사람 같으니이다
  They behaved like men wielding axes to cut through a thicket of trees.

6. 이제 저희가 도끼와 철퇴로 성소의 모든 조각품을 쳐서 부수고
  They smashed all the carved paneling with their axes and hatchets.

7. 주의 성소를 불사르며 주의 이름이 계신 곳을 더럽혀 땅에 엎었나이다
  They burned your sanctuary to the ground; they defiled the dwelling place of your Name.

8. 저희의 마음에 이르기를 우리가 그것을 진멸하자 하고 이 땅에 있는 하나님의 모든 회당을 불살랐나이다
  They said in their hearts, "We will crush them completely!" They burned every place where God was worshiped in the land.

9. 우리의 표적이 보이지 아니하며 선지자도 다시 없으며 이런 일이 얼마나 오랠는지 우리 중에 아는 자도 없나이다
  We are given no miraculous signs; no prophets are left, and none of us knows how long this will be.

10. 하나님이여 대적이 언제까지 훼방하겠으며 원수가 주의 이름을 영원히 능욕하리이까
  How long will the enemy mock you, O God? Will the foe revile your name forever?

11. 주께서 어찌하여 주의 손 곧 오른손을 거두시나이까 주의 품에서 빼사 저희를 멸하소서
  Why do you hold back your hand, your right hand? Take it from the folds of your garment and destroy them!

12. 하나님은 예로부터 나의 왕이시라 인간에 구원을 베푸셨나이다
  But you, O God, are my king from of old; you bring salvation upon the earth.

13. 주께서 주의 능력으로 바다를 나누시고 물 가운데 용들의 머리를 깨뜨리셨으며
  It was you who split open the sea by your power; you broke the heads of the monster in the waters.

14. 악어의 머리를 파쇄하시고 그것을 사막에 거하는 자에게 식물로 주셨으며
  It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan and gave him as food to the creatures of the desert.

15. 바위를 쪼개사 큰 물을 내시며 길이 흐르는 강들을 말리우셨나이다
  It was you who opened up springs and streams; you dried up the ever flowing rivers.

16. 낮도 주의 것이요 밤도 주의 것이라 주께서 빛과 해를 예비하셨으며
  The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon.

17. 땅의 경계를 정하시며 여름과 겨울을 이루셨나이다
  It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.

18. 여호와여 이것을 기억하소서 원수가 주를 비방하며 우매한 백성이 주의 이름을 능욕하였나이다
  Remember how the enemy has mocked you, O LORD, how foolish people have reviled your name.

19. 주의 멧비둘기의 생명을 들짐승에게 주지 마시며 주의 가난한 자의 목숨을 영영히 잊지 마소서
  Do not hand over the life of your dove to wild beasts; do not forget the lives of your afflicted people forever.

20. 언약을 돌아보소서 대저 땅 흑암한 곳에 강포한 자의 처소가 가득하였나이다
  Have regard for your covenant, because haunts of violence fill the dark places of the land.

21. 학대받은 자로 부끄러이 돌아가게 마시고 가난한 자와 궁핍한 자로 주의 이름을 찬송케 하소서
  Do not let the oppressed retreat in disgrace; may the poor and needy praise your name.

22. 하나님이여 일어나사 주의 원통을 푸시고 우매한 자가 종일 주를 비방하는 것을 기억하소서
  Rise up, O God, and defend your cause; remember how fools mock you all day long.

23. 주의 대적의 소리를 잊지 마소서 일어나 주를 항거하는 자의 훤화가 항상 상달하나이다
  Do not ignore the clamor of your adversaries, the uproar of your enemies, which rises continually.
