사무엘상 18

1. 다윗이 사울에게 말하기를 마치매 요나단의 마음이 다윗의 마음과 연락되어 요나단이 그를 자기 생명같이 사랑하니라
  After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself.

2. 그 날에 사울은 다윗을 머무르게 하고 그 아비의 집으로 다시 돌아가기를 허락지 아니하였고
  From that day Saul kept David with him and did not let him return to his father's house.

3. 요나단은 다윗을 자기 생명같이 사랑하여 더불어 언약을 맺었으며
  And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.

4. 요나단이 자기의 입었던 겉옷을 벗어 다윗에게 주었고 그 군복과 칼과 활과 띠도 그리하였더라
  Jonathan took off the robe he was wearing and gave it to David, along with his tunic, and even his sword, his bow and his belt.

5. 다윗이 사울의 보내는 곳마다 가서 지혜롭게 행하매 사울이 그로 군대의 장을 삼았더니 온 백성이 합당히 여겼고 사울의 신하들도 합당히 여겼더라
  Whatever Saul sent him to do, David did it so successfully that Saul gave him a high rank in the army. This pleased all the people, and Saul's officers as well.

6. 무리가 돌아올 때 곧 다윗이 블레셋 사람을 죽이고 돌아올 때에 여인들이 이스라엘 모든 성에서 나와서 노래하며 춤추며 소고와 경쇠를 가지고 왕 사울을 환영하는데
  When the men were returning home after David had killed the Philistine, the women came out from all the towns of Israel to meet King Saul with singing and dancing, with joyful songs and with tambourines and lutes.

7. 여인들이 뛰놀며 창화하여 가로되 사울의 죽인 자는 천천이요 다윗은 만만이로다 한지라
  As they danced, they sang: "Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands."

8. 사울이 이 말에 불쾌하여 심히 노하여 가로되 다윗에게는 만만을 돌리고 내게는 천천만 돌리니 그의 더 얻을 것이 나라밖에 무엇이냐 하고
  Saul was very angry; this refrain galled him. "They have credited David with tens of thousands," he thought, "but me with only thousands. What more can he get but the kingdom?"

9. 그 날 후로 사울이 다윗을 주목하였더라
  And from that time on Saul kept a jealous eye on David.

10. 그 이튿날 하나님의 부리신 악신이 사울에게 힘있게 내리매 그가 집 가운데서 야료하는 고로 다윗이 평일과 같이 손으로 수금을 타는데 때에 사울의 손에 창이 있는지라
  The next day an evil spirit from God came forcefully upon Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the harp, as he usually did. Saul had a spear in his hand

11. 그가 스스로 이르기를 내가 다윗을 벽에 박으리라 하고 그 창을 던졌으나 다윗이 그 앞에서 두 번 피하였더라
  and he hurled it, saying to himself, "I'll pin David to the wall." But David eluded him twice.

12. 여호와께서 사울을 떠나 다윗과 함께 계시므로 사울이 그를 두려워한지라
  Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with David but had left Saul.

13. 그러므로 사울이 그로 자기를 떠나게 하고 천부장을 삼으매 그가 백성 앞에 출입하며
  So he sent David away from him and gave him command over a thousand men, and David led the troops in their campaigns.

14. 그 모든 일을 지혜롭게 행하니라 여호와께서 그와 함께 계시니라
  In everything he did he had great success, because the LORD was with him.

15. 사울이 다윗의 크게 지혜롭게 행함을 보고 그를 두려워하였으나
  When Saul saw how successful he was, he was afraid of him.

16. 온 이스라엘과 유다는 다윗을 사랑하였으니 그가 자기들 앞에 출입함을 인함이었더라
  But all Israel and Judah loved David, because he led them in their campaigns.

17. 사울이 다윗에게 이르되 내 맏딸 메랍을 네게 아내로 주리니 오직 너는 나를 위하여 용맹을 내어 여호와의 싸움을 싸우라 하니 이는 그가 생각하기를 내 손을 그에게 대지 말고 블레셋 사람의 손으로 그에게 대게 하리라 함이라
  Saul said to David, "Here is my older daughter Merab. I will give her to you in marriage; only serve me bravely and fight the battles of the LORD." For Saul said to himself, "I will not raise a hand against him. Let the Philistines do that!"

18. 다윗이 사울에게 이르되 내가 누구며 이스라엘 중에 내 친속이나 내 아비의 집이 무엇이관대 내가 왕의 사위가 되리이까 하였더니
  But David said to Saul, "Who am I, and what is my family or my father's clan in Israel, that I should become the king's son-in-law?"

19. 사울의 딸 메랍을 다윗에게 줄 시기에 므홀랏 사람 아드리엘에게 아내로 준 바 되었더라
  So when the time came for Merab, Saul's daughter, to be given to David, she was given in marriage to Adriel of Meholah.

20. 사울의 딸 미갈이 다윗을 사랑하매 혹이 사울에게 고한지라 사울이 그 일을 좋게 여겨
  Now Saul's daughter Michal was in love with David, and when they told Saul about it, he was pleased.

21. 스스로 이르되 내가 딸을 그에게 주어서 그에게 올무가 되게 하고 블레셋 사람의 손으로 그를 치게 하리라 하고 이에 다윗에게 이르되 네가 오늘 다시 내 사위가 되리라 하니라
  "I will give her to him," he thought, "so that she may be a snare to him and so that the hand of the Philistines may be against him." So Saul said to David, "Now you have a second opportunity to become my son-in-law."

22. 사울이 그 신하들에게 명하되 너희는 다윗에게 비밀히 말하여 이르기를 보라 왕이 너를 기뻐하시고 모든 신하도 너를 사랑하나니 그런즉 네가 왕의 사위가 되는 것이 가하니라 하라
  Then Saul ordered his attendants: "Speak to David privately and say, 'Look, the king is pleased with you, and his attendants all like you; now become his son-in-law.'"

23. 사울의 신하들이 이 말로 다윗의 귀에 고하매 다윗이 가로되 왕의 사위 되는 것을 너희는 경한 일로 보느냐 나는 가난하고 천한 사람이로라 한지라
  They repeated these words to David. But David said, "Do you think it is a small matter to become the king's son-in-law? I'm only a poor man and little known."

24. 사울의 신하들이 사울에게 고하여 가로되 다윗이 여차여차히 말하더이다
  When Saul's servants told him what David had said,

25. 사울이 가로되 너희는 다윗에게 이같이 말하기를 왕이 아무 폐백도 원치 아니하고 다만 왕의 원수의 보복으로 블레셋 사람의 양피 일백을 원하신다 하라 하였으니 이는 사울의 생각에 다윗을 블레셋 사람의 손에 죽게 하리라 함이라
  Saul replied, "Say to David, 'The king wants no other price for the bride than a hundred Philistine foreskins, to take revenge on his enemies.'" Saul's plan was to have David fall by the hands of the Philistines.

26. 사울의 신하들이 이 말로 다윗에게 고하매 다윗이 왕의 사위 되는 것을 좋게 여기므로 만기가 되지 못하여서
  When the attendants told David these things, he was pleased to become the king's son-in-law. So before the allotted time elapsed,

27. 다윗이 일어나서 그 종자와 함께 가서 블레셋 사람 이백 명을 죽이고 그 양피를 가져다가 수대로 왕께 드려 왕의 사위가 되고자 하니 사울이 그 딸 미갈을 다윗에게 아내로 주었더라
  David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king's son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.

28. 여호와께서 다윗과 함께 계심을 사울이 보고 알았고 사울의 딸 미갈도 그를 사랑하므로
  When Saul realized that the LORD was with David and that his daughter Michal loved David,

29. 사울이 다윗을 더욱 더욱 두려워하여 평생에 다윗의 대적이 되니라
  Saul became still more afraid of him, and he remained his enemy the rest of his days.

30. 블레셋 사람의 방백들이 나오면 그들의 나올 때마다 다윗이 사울의 모든 신하보다 더 지혜롭게 행하매 이에 그 이름이 심히 귀중히 되니라
  The Philistine commanders continued to go out to battle, and as often as they did, David met with more success than the rest of Saul's officers, and his name became well known.

로마서 16

1. 내가 겐그레아 교회의 일군으로 있는 우리 자매 뵈뵈를 너희에게 천거하노니
  I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church in Cenchrea.

2. 너희가 주 안에서 성도들의 합당한 예절로 그를 영접하고 무엇이든지 그에게 소용되는 바를 도와 줄찌니 이는 그가 여러 사람과 나의 보호자가 되었음이니라
  I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many people, including me.

3. 너희가 그리스도 예수 안에서 나의 동역자들인 브리스가와 아굴라에게 문안하라
  Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus.

4. 저희는 내 목숨을 위하여 자기의 목이라도 내어 놓았나니 나뿐 아니라 이방인의 모든 교회도 저희에게 감사하느니라
  They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.

5. 또 저의 교회에게도 문안하라 나의 사랑하는 에베네도에게 문안하라 저는 아시아에서 그리스도께 처음 익은 열매니라
  Greet also the church that meets at their house. Greet my dear friend Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia.

6. 너희를 위하여 많이 수고한 마리아에게 문안하라
  Greet Mary, who worked very hard for you.

7. 내 친척이요 나와 함께 갇혔던 안드로니고와 유니아에게 문안하라 저희는 사도에게 유명히 여김을 받고 또한 나보다 먼저 그리스도 안에 있는 자라
  Greet Andronicus and Junias, my relatives who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was.

8. 또 주 안에서 내 사랑하는 암블리아에게 문안하라
  Greet Ampliatus, whom I love in the Lord.

9. 그리스도 안에서 우리의 동역자인 우르바노와 나의 사랑하는 스다구에게 문안하라
  Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my dear friend Stachys.

10. 그리스도 안에서 인정함을 받은 아벨레에게 문안하라 아리스도불로의 권속에게 문안하라
  Greet Apelles, tested and approved in Christ. Greet those who belong to the household of Aristobulus.

11. 내 친척 헤로디온에게 문안하라 나깃수의 권속 중 주 안에 있는 자들에게 문안하라
  Greet Herodion, my relative. Greet those in the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord.

12. 주 안에서 수고한 드루배나와 드루보사에게 문안하라 주 안에서 많이 수고하고 사랑하는 버시에게 문안하라
  Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, those women who work hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis, another woman who has worked very hard in the Lord.

13. 주 안에서 택하심을 입은 루포와 그 어머니에게 문안하라 그 어머니는 곧 내 어머니니라
  Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who has been a mother to me, too.

14. 아순그리도와 블레곤과 허메와 바드로바와 허마와 저희와 함께 있는 형제들에게 문안하라
  Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas and the brothers with them.

15. 빌롤로고와 율리아와 또 네레오와 그 자매와 올름바와 저희와 함께 있는 모든 성도에게 문안하라
  Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas and all the saints with them.

16. 너희가 거룩하게 입맞춤으로 서로 문안하라 그리스도의 모든 교회가 다 너희에게 문안하느니라
  Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send greetings.

17. 형제들아 내가 너희를 권하노니 너희 교훈을 거스려 분쟁을 일으키고 거치게 하는 자들을 살피고 저희에게서 떠나라
  I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.

18. 이같은 자들은 우리 주 그리스도를 섬기지 아니하고 다만 자기의 배만 섬기나니 공교하고 아첨하는 말로 순진한 자들의 마음을 미혹하느니라
  For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

19. 너희 순종함이 모든 사람에게 들리는지라 그러므로 내가 너희를 인하여 기뻐하노니 너희가 선한 데 지혜롭고 악한 데 미련하기를 원하노라
  Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.

20. 평강의 하나님께서 속히 사단을 너희 발 아래서 상하게 하시리라 우리 주 예수의 은혜가 너희에게 있을찌어다
  The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

21. 나의 동역자 디모데와 나의 친척 누기오와 야손과 소시바더가 너희에게 문안하느니라
  Timothy, my fellow worker, sends his greetings to you, as do Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my relatives.

22. 이 편지를 대서하는 나 더디오도 주 안에서 너희에게 문안하노라
  I, Tertius, who wrote down this letter, greet you in the Lord.

23. 나와 온 교회 식주인 가이오도 너희에게 문안하고 이 성의 재무 에라스도와 형제 구아도도 너희에게 문안하느니라
  Gaius, whose hospitality I and the whole church here enjoy, sends you his greetings. Erastus, who is the city's director of public works, and our brother Quartus send you their greetings.

25. 나의 복음과 예수 그리스도를 전파함은 영세 전부터 감취었다가
  Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past,

26. 이제는 나타내신 바 되었으며 영원하신 하나님의 명을 좇아 선지자들의 글로 말미암아 모든 민족으로 믿어 순종케 하시려고 알게 하신 바 그 비밀의 계시를 좇아 된 것이니 이 복음으로 너희를 능히 견고케 하실
  but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him--

27. 지혜로우신 하나님께 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 영광이 세세무궁토록 있을찌어다 아멘
  to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.

예레미야애가 3

1. 여호와의 노하신 매로 인하여 고난당한 자는 내로다
  I am the man who has seen affliction by the rod of his wrath.

2. 나를 이끌어 흑암에 행하고 광명에 행치 않게 하셨으며
  He has driven me away and made me walk in darkness rather than light;

3. 종일토록 손을 돌이켜 자주자주 나를 치시도다
  indeed, he has turned his hand against me again and again, all day long.

4. 나의 살과 가죽을 쇠하게 하시며 나의 뼈를 꺾으셨고
  He has made my skin and my flesh grow old and has broken my bones.

5. 담즙과 수고를 쌓아 나를 에우셨으며
  He has besieged me and surrounded me with bitterness and hardship.

6. 나로 흑암에 거하게 하시기를 죽은 지 오랜 자 같게 하셨도다
  He has made me dwell in darkness like those long dead.

7. 나를 둘러싸서 나가지 못하게 하시고 나의 사슬을 무겁게 하셨으며
  He has walled me in so I cannot escape; he has weighed me down with chains.

8. 내가 부르짖어 도움을 구하나 내 기도를 물리치시며
  Even when I call out or cry for help, he shuts out my prayer.

9. 다듬은 돌을 쌓아 내 길을 막으사 내 첩경을 굽게 하셨도다
  He has barred my way with blocks of stone; he has made my paths crooked.

10. 저는 내게 대하여 엎드리어 기다리는 곰과 은밀한 곳의 사자 같으사
  Like a bear lying in wait, like a lion in hiding,

11. 나의 길로 치우치게 하시며 내 몸을 찢으시며 나로 적막하게 하셨도다
  he dragged me from the path and mangled me and left me without help.

12. 활을 당기고 나로 과녁을 삼으심이여
  He drew his bow and made me the target for his arrows.

13. 전동의 살로 내 허리를 맞추셨도다
  He pierced my heart with arrows from his quiver.

14. 나는 내 모든 백성에게 조롱거리 곧 종일토록 그들의 노랫거리가 되었도다
  I became the laughingstock of all my people; they mock me in song all day long.

15. 나를 쓴 것으로 배불리시고 쑥으로 취하게 하셨으며
  He has filled me with bitter herbs and sated me with gall.

16. 조약돌로 내 이를 꺾으시고 재로 나를 덮으셨도다
  He has broken my teeth with gravel; he has trampled me in the dust.

17. 주께서 내 심령으로 평강을 멀리 떠나게 하시니 내가 복을 잊어버렸음이여
  I have been deprived of peace; I have forgotten what prosperity is.

18. 스스로 이르기를 나의 힘과 여호와께 대한 내 소망이 끊어졌다 하였도다
  So I say, "My splendor is gone and all that I had hoped from the LORD."

19. 내 고초와 재난 곧 쑥과 담즙을 기억하소서
  I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.

20. 내 심령이 그것을 기억하고 낙심이 되오나
  I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.

21. 중심에 회상한즉 오히려 소망이 있사옴은
  Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

22. 여호와의 자비와 긍휼이 무궁하시므로 우리가 진멸되지 아니함이니이다
  Because of the LORD'S great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.

23. 이것이 아침마다 새로우니 주의 성실이 크도소이다
  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

24. 내 심령에 이르기를 여호와는 나의 기업이시니 그러므로 내가 저를 바라리라 하도다
  I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."

25. 무릇 기다리는 자에게나 구하는 영혼에게 여호와께서 선을 베푸시는도다
  The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;

26. 사람이 여호와의 구원을 바라고 잠잠히 기다림이 좋도다
  it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

27. 사람이 젊었을 때에 멍에를 메는 것이 좋으니
  It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.

28. 혼자 앉아서 잠잠할 것은 주께서 그것을 메우셨음이라
  Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him.

29. 입을 티끌에 댈찌어다 혹시 소망이 있을찌로다
  Let him bury his face in the dust--there may yet be hope.

30. 때리는 자에게 뺨을 향하여 수욕으로 배불릴찌어다
  Let him offer his cheek to one who would strike him, and let him be filled with disgrace.

31. 이는 주께서 영원토록 버리지 않으실 것임이며
  For men are not cast off by the Lord forever.

32. 저가 비록 근심케 하시나 그 풍부한 자비대로 긍휼히 여기실 것임이라
  Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.

33. 주께서 인생으로 고생하며 근심하게 하심이 본심이 아니시로다
  For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men.

34. 세상에 모든 갇힌 자를 발로 밟는 것과
  To crush underfoot all prisoners in the land,

35. 지극히 높으신 자의 얼굴 앞에서 사람의 재판을 굽게 하는 것과
  to deny a man his rights before the Most High,

36. 사람의 송사를 억울케 하는 것은 다 주의 기쁘게 보시는 것이 아니로다
  to deprive a man of justice--would not the Lord see such things?

37. 주의 명령이 아니면 누가 능히 말하여 이루게 하랴
  Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it?

38. 화, 복이 지극히 높으신 자의 입으로 나오지 아니하느냐
  Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come?

39. 살아 있는 사람은 자기 죄로 벌을 받나니 어찌 원망하랴
  Why should any living man complain when punished for his sins?

40. 우리가 스스로 행위를 조사하고 여호와께로 돌아가자
  Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD.

41. 마음과 손을 아울러 하늘에 계신 하나님께 들자
  Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven, and say:

42. 우리의 범죄함과 패역함을 주께서 사하지 아니하시고
  "We have sinned and rebelled and you have not forgiven.

43. 진노로 스스로 가리우시고 우리를 군축하시며 살륙하사 긍휼을 베풀지 아니하셨나이다
  "You have covered yourself with anger and pursued us; you have slain without pity.

44. 주께서 구름으로 스스로 가리우사 기도로 상달치 못하게 하시고
  You have covered yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can get through.

45. 우리를 열방 가운데서 진개와 폐물을 삼으셨으므로
  You have made us scum and refuse among the nations.

46. 우리의 모든 대적이 우리를 향하여 입을 크게 벌렸나이다
  "All our enemies have opened their mouths wide against us.

47. 두려움과 함정과 잔해와 멸망이 우리에게 임하였도다
  We have suffered terror and pitfalls, ruin and destruction."

48. 처녀 내 백성의 파멸을 인하여 내 눈에 눈물이 시내처럼 흐르도다
  Streams of tears flow from my eyes because my people are destroyed.

49. 내 눈의 흐르는 눈물이 그치지 아니하고 쉬지 아니함이여
  My eyes will flow unceasingly, without relief,

50. 여호와께서 하늘에서 살피시고 돌아보시기를 기다리는도다
  until the LORD looks down from heaven and sees.

51. 나의 성읍의 모든 여자를 인하여 내 눈이 내 심령을 상하게 하는도다
  What I see brings grief to my soul because of all the women of my city.

52. 무고히 나의 대적이 된 자가 나를 새와 같이 심히 쫓도다
  Those who were my enemies without cause hunted me like a bird.

53. 저희가 내 생명을 끊으려고 나를 구덩이에 넣고 그 위에 돌을 던짐이여
  They tried to end my life in a pit and threw stones at me;

54. 물이 내 머리에 넘치니 내가 스스로 이르기를 이제는 멸절되었다 하도다
  the waters closed over my head, and I thought I was about to be cut off.

55. 여호와여 내가 심히 깊은 구덩이에서 주의 이름을 불렀나이다
  I called on your name, O LORD, from the depths of the pit.

56. 주께서 이미 나의 음성을 들으셨사오니 이제 나의 탄식과 부르짖음에 주의 귀를 가리우지 마옵소서
  You heard my plea: "Do not close your ears to my cry for relief."

57. 내가 주께 아뢴 날에 주께서 내게 가까이 하여 가라사대 두려워 말라 하셨나이다
  You came near when I called you, and you said, "Do not fear."

58. 주여 주께서 내 심령의 원통을 펴셨고 내 생명을 속하셨나이다
  O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.

59. 여호와여 나의 억울을 감찰하셨사오니 나를 위하여 신원하옵소서
  You have seen, O LORD, the wrong done to me. Uphold my cause!

60. 저희가 내게 보수하며 나를 모해함을 주께서 다 감찰하셨나이다
  You have seen the depth of their vengeance, all their plots against me.

61. 여호와여 저희가 나를 훼파하며 나를 모해하는 것
  O LORD, you have heard their insults, all their plots against me--

62. 곧 일어나 나를 치는 자의 입술에서 나오는 것과 종일 모해하는 것을 들으셨나이다
  what my enemies whisper and mutter against me all day long.

63. 저희가 앉든지 서든지 나를 노래하는 것을 주여 보옵소서
  Look at them! Sitting or standing, they mock me in their songs.

64. 여호와여 주께서 저의 손으로 행한 대로 보응하사
  Pay them back what they deserve, O LORD, for what their hands have done.

65. 그 마음을 강퍅하게 하시고 저주를 더하시며
  Put a veil over their hearts, and may your curse be on them!

66. 진노로 저희를 군축하사 여호와의 천하에서 멸하시리이다
  Pursue them in anger and destroy them from under the heavens of the LORD.

시편 34

1. 내가 여호와를 항상 송축함이여 그를 송축함이 내 입에 계속하리로다
  Of David. When he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he left. I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.

2. 내 영혼이 여호와로 자랑하리니 곤고한 자가 이를 듣고 기뻐하리로다
  My soul will boast in the LORD; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

3. 나와 함께 여호와를 광대하시다 하며 함께 그 이름을 높이세
  Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together.

4. 내가 여호와께 구하매 내게 응답하시고 내 모든 두려움에서 나를 건지셨도다
  I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

5. 저희가 주를 앙망하고 광채를 입었으니 그 얼굴이 영영히 부끄럽지 아니하리로다
  Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

6. 이 곤고한 자가 부르짖으매 여호와께서 들으시고 그 모든 환난에서 구원하셨도다
  This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

7. 여호와의 사자가 주를 경외하는 자를 둘러 진치고 저희를 건지시는도다
  The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

8. 너희는 여호와의 선하심을 맛보아 알찌어다 그에게 피하는 자는 복이 있도다
  Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

9. 너희 성도들아 여호와를 경외하라 저를 경외하는 자에게는 부족함이 없도다
  Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing.

10. 젊은 사자는 궁핍하여 주릴찌라도 여호와를 찾는 자는 모든 좋은 것에 부족함이 없으리로다
  The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

11. 너희 소자들아 와서 내게 들으라 내가 여호와를 경외함을 너희에게 가르치리로다
  Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12. 생명을 사모하고 장수하여 복받기를 원하는 사람이 누구뇨
  Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,

13. 네 혀를 악에서 금하며 네 입술을 궤사한 말에서 금할찌어다
  keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies.

14. 악을 버리고 선을 행하며 화평을 찾아 따를찌어다
  Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

15. 여호와의 눈은 의인을 향하시고 그 귀는 저희 부르짖음에 기울이시는도다
  The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry;

16. 여호와의 얼굴은 행악하는 자를 대하사 저희의 자취를 땅에서 끊으려 하시는도다
  the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth.

17. 의인이 외치매 여호와께서 들으시고 저희의 모든 환난에서 건지셨도다
  The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

18. 여호와는 마음이 상한 자에게 가까이 하시고 중심에 통회하는 자를 구원하시는도다
  The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19. 의인은 고난이 많으나 여호와께서 그 모든 고난에서 건지시는도다
  A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;

20. 그 모든 뼈를 보호하심이여 그 중에 하나도 꺾이지 아니하도다
  he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

21. 악이 악인을 죽일 것이라 의인을 미워하는 자는 죄를 받으리로다
  Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.

22. 여호와께서 그 종들의 영혼을 구속하시나니 저에게 피하는 자는 다 죄를 받지 아니하리로다
  The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him.
