1. 아삽의 시 하나님이 참으로 이스라엘 중 마음이 정결한 자에게 선을 행하시나

  A Psalm of Asaph . Truly God is good to Israel , even to such as are of a clean heart .

  They are not in trouble as other men ; neither are they plagued like other men .

 

6. 그러므로 교만이 저희 목걸이요 강포가 저희의 입는 옷이며

  Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain ; violence covereth them as a garment .

 

7. 살찜으로 저희 눈이 솟아나며 저희 소득은 마음의 소원보다 지나며

  Their eyes stand out with fatness : they have more than heart could wish .

 

8. 저희는 능욕하며 악하게 압제하여 말하며 거만히 말하며

  They are corrupt , and speak wickedly concerning oppression : they speak loftily .

 

9. 저희 입은 하늘에 두고 저희 혀는 땅에 두루 다니도다

  They set their mouth against the heavens , and their tongue walketh through the earth .

 

10. 그러므로 그 백성이 이리로 돌아와서 잔에 가득한 물을 다 마시며

  Therefore his people return hither : and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

 

11. 말하기를 하나님이 어찌 알랴 지극히 높은 자에게 지식이 있으랴 하도다

  And they say , How doth God know ? and is there knowledge in the most High ?

 

12. 볼지어다 이들은 악인이라 항상 평안하고 재물은 더 하도다

  Behold, these are the ungodly , who prosper in the world ; they increase in riches .

 

13. 내가 내 마음을 정히 하며 내 손을 씻어 무죄하다 한 것이 실로 헛되도다

  Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain , and washed my hands in innocency .

 

14. 나는 종일 재앙을 당하며 아침마다 징책을 보았도다

  For all the day long have I been plagued , and chastened every morning .

 

15. 내가 만일 스스로 이르기를 내가 이렇게 말하리라 하였더면 주의 아들들의 시대를 대하여 궤휼을 행하였으리이다

  If I say , I will speak thus ; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children .

 

16. 내가 어찌면 이를 알까 하여 생각한즉 내게 심히 곤란하더니

  When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me ;

 

17. 하나님의 성소에 들어갈 때에야 저희 결국을 내가 깨달았나이다

  Until I went into the sanctuary of God ; then understood I their end .

 

18. 주께서 참으로 저희를 미끄러운 곳에 두시며 파멸에 던지시니

  Surely thou didst set them in slippery places : thou castedst them down into destruction .

 

19. 저희가 어찌 그리 졸지에 황폐되었는가 놀람으로 전멸하였나이다

  How are they brought into desolation , as in a moment ! they are utterly consumed with terrors .

 

20. 주여 사람이 깬 후에는 꿈을 무시함 같이 주께서 깨신 후에 저희 형상을 멸시하시리이다

  As a dream when one awaketh ; so, O Lord , when thou awakest , thou shalt despise their image .

 

21. 내 마음이 산란하며 내 심장이 찔렸나이다

  Thus my heart was grieved , and I was pricked in my reins .

 

22. 내가 이같이 우매 무지하니 주의 앞에 짐승이오나

  So foolish was I, and ignorant : I was as a beast before thee.

 

23. 내가 항상 주와 함께하니 주께서 내 오른손을 붙드셨나이다

  Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand .

 

24. 주의 교훈으로 나를 인도하시고 후에는 영광으로 나를 영접하시리니

  Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel , and afterward receive me to glory .

 

25. 하늘에서는 주 외에 누가 내게 있으리요 땅에서는 주 밖에 나의 사모할 자 없나이다

  Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

 

26. 내 육체와 마음은 쇠잔하나 하나님은 내 마음의 반석이시요 영원한 분깃이시라

  My flesh and my heart faileth : but God is the strength of my heart , and my portion for ever .

 

27. 대저 주를 멀리하는 자는 망하리니 음녀 같이 주를 떠난 자를 주께서 다 멸하셨나이다

  For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish : thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

 

28. 하나님께 가까이 함이 내게 복이라 내가 주 여호와를 나의 피난처로 삼아 주의 모든 행사를 전파하리이다

  But it is good for me to draw near to God : I have put my trust in the Lord God , that I may declare all thy works .

【시73:1 JFB】시73:1-28. Of Asaph—(see Introduction). God is good to His people. For although the prosperity of the wicked, and the afflictions of the righteous, tempted the Psalmist to misgivings of God's government, yet the sudden and fearful ruin of the ungodly, seen in the light of God's revelation, reassures his heart; and, chiding himself for his folly, he is led to confide renewedly in God, and celebrate His goodness and love.
1. The abrupt announcement of the theme indicates that it is the conclusion of a perplexing mental conflict, which is then detailed (compare 렘12:1-4).
Truly—or, "Surely it is so."
clean heart—(시18:26) describes the true Israel.

 

【시73:1 CWC】The first half dozen of these Psalms form a group millennial and Messianic. The first is millennial. It is Israel who speaks, and the Psalm cannot be appreciated except as the word "us" in verse 1 is so applied. When God has mercy upon and blesses Israel in the latter days, His way will begin to be known upon earth, and His saving health unto all nations (v. 2). In other words, the present age is one of out-gathering, but the age to come (millennial) will be one of in-gathering. God is now calling out a people for His Name from all the nations to form the Church, the body of Christ; but then He will be gathering all the nations to Him through the witness and ministry of Israel. This is the age of the evangelism of the nations, that the age of their conversion.
Why will the people be praising God in that day? Let verse 4 answer. It will, however, not only be a day of righteous governing, but one of great material prosperity (v. 6). The cause of it all is again expressed (v. 7).
The Scofield Bible teaches that Psalm 68, which some think to have been composed at the bringing up of the ark, is from the prophetic view, entirely pervaded by the joy of Israel in the Kingdom, but a strict order of events begins with verse 18 which in 엡4:7-16 is quoted of Christ's ascension ministry. Verses 21-23 refer to the regathering of Israel and the destruction of the Anti-christ and his armies, while verses 24-35 describe the universal Kingdom blessing.
Psalm 69.
Is Messianic as judged by the New Testament quotations indicated in the margin. It is the Psalm of Christ's humiliation and rejection (vv. 4, 7, 8, 10-12). Verses 14-20 point to Gethsemane, and verse 21 to the cross. The imprecatory verses 22-28, may refer to the present judicial blindness of Israel, verse 25 having special reference to Judas (행1:20), who is typical of his generation which shared his guilt.
Psalm 72.
Is also Messianic. Whether composed by, or for, Solomon (see title), "a greater than Solomon is here." Millennial expressions prevail throughout, for it is a Psalm of the King when He comes in His kingdom. The difference in the imagery between this and Psalm 2 will be observed, but both conditions as thus outlined will prevail in the millennial age. That of Psalm 2 precedes that of this Psalm and makes this possible. There is difficulty in applying verse 15 to Christ as it speaks of prayer being "made for him," unless we translate "for" by "to" as some have ventured to do, although without good authority.
Book 2 ends at this point, the opening of Book 3 being marked by a number of Psalms ascribed to Asaph of whose history nothing is known, except as 대하35:15 and 스2:41 enlighten us.
The first of the Psalms of Asaph (73) is the most familiar, and suggests the language of Job and Jeremiah under similar circumstances (see 렘12:1-4). The psalmist is complaining of the prosperity of the wicked and the affliction of the righteous; but as his eye of faith is opened to the sudden and fearful ruin of the former his misgivings are removed; and in the reassurance of his heart he chides himself for his folly and praises God's love.
The opening verse is the conclusion at which he arrives at the close, although it is stated first. He had nearly fallen into infidelity (v. 2), the reasons for which are stated (vv. 3-12). It seemed as if there were no use in being good (vv. 13, 14). He wisely kept his complainings to himself however (v. 15); and when he came to know God better, which is the meaning of verse 16, he understood the enigma (vv. 1820). His confession of the sin of unbelief follows (vv. 21, 22), and then the renewal of his faith and confidence to the end.
Some think Psalms 75 and 76 belong together, the one anticipating what the other commemorates, viz., the divine deliverance of Israel from their enemies on some signal occasion. Possibly 왕하19:35 and Isaiah Z7 throw light upon them.
Psalm 78.
Is applied by some, to the removal of the sanctuary from Shiloh in the tribe of Ephraim to Zion, of Judah; and consequently, the transfer of eminence from the former to the latter tribe. Though this transfer was God's purpose from the beginning, yet the psalmist shows it to have been a divine judgment on Ephraim under whose leadership the people had shown the sinful and rebellious character that had distinguished their ancestors in Egypt. Read in this light, the Psalm becomes doubly interesting and instructive.

 

【시73:1 MHCC】The psalmist was strongly tempted to envy the prosperity of the wicked; a common temptation, which has tried the graces of many saints. But he lays down the great principle by which he resolved to abide. It is the goodness of God. This is a truth which cannot be shaken. Good thoughts of God will fortify against Satan's temptations. The faith even of strong believers may be sorely shaken, and ready to fail. There are storms that will try the firmest anchors. Foolish and wicked people have sometimes a great share of outward prosperity. They seem to have the least share of the troubles of this life; and they seem to have the greatest share of its comforts. They live without the fear of God, yet they prosper, and get on in the world. Wicked men often spend their lives without much sickness, and end them without great pain; while many godly persons scarcely know what health is, and die with great sufferings. Often the wicked are not frightened, either by the remembrance of their sins, or the prospect of their misery, but they die without terror. We cannot judge men's state beyond death, by what passes at their death. He looked abroad, and saw many of God's people greatly at a loss. Because the wicked are so very daring, therefore his people return hither; they know not what to say to it, and the rather, because they drink deep of the bitter cup of affliction. He spoke feelingly when he spoke of his own troubles; there is no disputing against sense, except by faith. From all this arose a strong temptation to cast off religion. But let us learn that the true course of sanctification consists in cleansing a man from all pollution both of soul and body. The heart is cleansed by the blood of Christ laid hold upon by faith; and by the begun works of the Lord's Spirit, manifested in the hearty resolution, purpose, and study of holiness, and a blameless course of life and actions, the hands are cleansed. It is not in vain to serve God and keep his ordinances.

【시73:15 MHCC】The psalmist having shown the progress of his temptation, shows how faith and grace prevailed. He kept up respect for God's people, and with that he restrained himself from speaking what he had thought amiss. It is a sign that we repent of the evil thoughts of the heart, if we suppress them. Nothing gives more offence to God's children, than to say it is vain to serve God; for there is nothing more contrary to their universal experience. He prayed to God to make this matter plain to him; and he understood the wretched end of wicked people; even in the height of their prosperity they were but ripening for ruin. The sanctuary must be the resort of a tempted soul. The righteous man's afflictions end in peace, therefore he is happy; the wicked man's enjoyments end in destruction, therefore he is miserable. The prosperity of the wicked is short and uncertain, slippery places. See what their prosperity is; it is but a vain show, it is only a corrupt imagination, not substance, but a mere shadow; it is as a dream, which may please us a little while we are slumbering, yet even then it disturbs our repose.

【시73:21 MHCC】God would not suffer his people to be tempted, if his grace were not sufficient, not only to save them from harm, but to make them gainers by it. This temptation, the working of envy and discontent, is very painful. In reflecting upon it, the psalmist owns it was his folly and ignorance thus to vex himself. If good men, at any time, through the surprise and strength of temptation, think, or speak, or act amiss, they will reflect upon it with sorrow and shame. We must ascribe our safety in temptation, and our victory, not to our own wisdom, but to the gracious presence of God with us, and Christ's intercession for us. All who commit themselves to God, shall be guided with the counsel both of his word and of his Spirit, the best counsellors here, and shall be received to his glory in another world; the believing hopes and prospects of which will reconcile us to all dark providences. And the psalmist was hereby quickened to cleave the closer to God. Heaven itself could not make us happy without the presence and love of our God. The world and all its glory vanishes. The body will fail by sickness, age, and death; when the flesh fails, the conduct, courage, and comfort fail. But Christ Jesus, our Lord, offers to be all in all to every poor sinner, who renounces all other portions and confidences. By sin we are all far from God. And a profession Christ, if we go on in sin, will increase our condemnation. May we draw near, and keep near, to our God, by faith and prayer, and find it good to do so. Those that with an upright heart put their trust in God, shall never want matter for thanksgiving to him. Blessed Lord, who hast so graciously promised to become our portion in the next world, prevent us from choosing any other in this.
