■ 사도행전 3장
1. 제구시 기도 시간에 베드로와 요한이 성전에 올라갈새
Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer , being the ninth hour.
2. 나면서 앉은뱅이 된 자를 사람들이 메고 오니 이는 성전에 들어가는 사람들에게 구걸하기 위하여 날마다 미문이라는 성전 문에 두는 자라
And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried , whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful , to ask alms of them that entered into the temple ;
3. 그가 베드로와 요한이 성전에 들어가려 함을 보고 구걸하거늘
Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms .
4. 베드로가 요한으로 더불어 주목하여 가로되 우리를 보라 하니
And Peter , fastening his eyes upon him with John , said , Look on us .
5. 그가 저희에게 무엇을 얻을까 하여 바라보거늘
And he gave heed unto them , expecting to receive something of them .
6. 베드로가 가로되 은과 금은 내게 없거니와 내게 있는 것으로 네게 주노니 곧 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 걸으라 하고
Then Peter said , Silver and gold have I none ; but such as I have give I thee : In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk .
7. 오른손을 잡아 일으키니 발과 발목이 곧 힘을 얻고
And he took him by the right hand , and lifted him up : and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength .
8. 뛰어 서서 걸으며 그들과 함께 성전으로 들어가면서 걷기도 하고 뛰기도 하며 하나님을 찬미하니
And he leaping up stood , and walked , and entered with them into the temple , walking , and leaping , and praising God .
9. 모든 백성이 그 걷는 것과 및 하나님을 찬미함을 보고
And all the people saw him walking and praising God :
10. 그 본래 성전 미문에 앉아 구걸하던 사람인 줄 알고 그의 당한 일을 인하여 심히 기이히 여기며 놀라니라
And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple : and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him .
11. 나은 사람이 베드로와 요한을 붙잡으니 모든 백성이 크게 놀라며 달려 나아가 솔로몬의 행각이라 칭하는 행각에 모이거늘
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John , all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s , greatly wondering .
12. 베드로가 이것을 보고 백성에게 말하되 이스라엘 사람들아 이 일을 왜 기이히 여기느냐 우리 개인의 권능과 경건으로 이 사람을 걷게 한 것처럼 왜 우리를 주목하느냐
And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people , Ye men of Israel , why marvel ye at this ? or why look ye so earnestly on us , as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk ?
13. 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님 곧 우리 조상의 하나님이 그 종 예수를 영화롭게 하셨느니라 너희가 저를 넘겨 주고 빌라도가 놓아 주기로 결안한 것을 너희가 그 앞에서 부인하였으니
The God of Abraham , and of Isaac , and of Jacob , the God of our fathers , hath glorified his Son Jesus ; whom ye delivered up , and denied him in the presence of Pilate , when he was determined to let him go .
14. 너희가 거룩하고 의로운 자를 부인하고 도리어 살인한 사람을 놓아주기를 구하여
But ye denied the Holy One and the Just , and desired a murderer to be granted unto you ;
15. 생명의 주를 죽였도다 그러나 하나님이 죽은 자 가운데서 살리셨으니 우리가 이 일에 증인이로라
And killed the Prince of life , whom God hath raised from the dead ; whereof we are witnesses .
16. 그 이름을 믿으므로 그 이름이 너희 보고 아는 이 사람을 성하게 하였나니 예수로 말미암아 난 믿음이 너희 모든 사람 앞에서 이같이 완전히 낫게 하였느니라
And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong , whom ye see and know : yea , the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all .
17. 형제들아 너희가 알지 못하여서 그리하였으며 너희 관원들도 그리한 줄 아노라
And now , brethren , I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers .
18. 그러나 하나님이 모든 선지자의 입을 의탁하사 자기의 그리스도의 해 받으실 일을 미리 알게 하신 것을 이와 같이 이루셨느니라
But those things , which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets , that Christ should suffer , he hath so fulfilled .
19. 그러므로 너희가 회개하고 돌이켜 너희 죄 없이 함을 받으라 이같이 하면 유쾌하게 되는 날이 주 앞으로부터 이를 것이요
Repent ye therefore , and be converted , that your sins may be blotted out , when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord ;
20. 또 주께서 너희를 위하여 예정하신 그리스도 곧 예수를 보내시리니
And he shall send Jesus Christ , which before was preached unto you :
21. 하나님이 영원 전부터 거룩한 선지자의 입을 의탁하여 말씀하신 바 만유를 회복하실 때까지는 하늘이 마땅히 그를 받아 두리라
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things , which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began .
22. 모세가 말하되 주 하나님이 너희를 위하여 너희 형제 가운데서 나 같은 선지자 하나를 세울 것이니 너희가 무엇이든지 그 모든 말씀을 들을 것이라
For Moses truly said unto the fathers , A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren , like unto me ; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you .
23. 누구든지 그 선지자의 말을 듣지 아니하는 자는 백성 중에서 멸망 받으리라 하였고
And it shall come to pass , that every soul , which will not hear that prophet , shall be destroyed from among the people .
24. 또한 사무엘 때부터 옴으로 말한 모든 선지자도 이 때를 가리켜 말하였느니라
Yea , and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after , as many as have spoken , have likewise foretold of these days .
25. 너희는 선지자들의 자손이요 또 하나님이 너희 조상으로 더불어 세우신 언약의 자손이라 아브라함에게 이르시기를 땅 위의 모든 족속이 너의 씨를 인하여 복을 받으리라 하셨으니
Ye are the children of the prophets , and of the covenant which God made with our fathers , saying unto Abraham , And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed .
26. 하나님이 그 종을 세워 복 주시려고 너희에게 먼저 보내사 너희로 하여금 돌이켜 각각 그 악함을 버리게 하셨느니라
Unto you first God , having raised up his Son Jesus , sent him to bless you , in turning away every one of you from his iniquities .

【행3:1 JFB】행3:1-26. Peter Heals a Lame Man at the Temple Gate—Hs Address to the Wondering Multitude.
1-11. Peter and John—already associated by their Master, first with James (막1:29; 5:37; 9:2), then by themselves (Lu 22:8; and see 요13:23, 24). Now we find them constantly together, but John (yet young) only as a silent actor.
went up—were going up, were on their way.
【행3:1 CWC】The disciples are still in Jerusalem, and the preaching is still limited to Jewish hearers, and in a sense we are still on Old Testament ground. An illustration of this is found in the previous lesson, for example: where in 2:38 to "repent and be baptized" was essential "for the remission of sins" and to "receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." But this is no longer so when the Gentiles are being approached (10:44-48). The Jews who had openly rejected Jesus of Nazareth must openly accept Him in order to receive the blessing, but with the others grace deals in a different way. That is not to say that repentance and baptism are no longer necessary; indeed repentance is always involved in saving faith; but baptism now follows the gift of the Spirit as a sign of it, rather than precedes it as a condition.
As a further illustration of Old Testament conditions the disciples are still worshipping in the. Temple (v. 1), at one of whose gates this miracle occurs in the Name of the rejected and now risen One (vv. 2-11). It is Peter's discourse in this case that justifies the title of this lesson, especially verses 19-26. This work had not been wrought in the names of the apostles but in Christ's Name, Whom they had crucified (vv. 12-16). This fulfilled prophecy (vv. 17-18). Let them now repent that the Lord may "send the Messiah who hath been appointed for you" (v. 20 R. V.). The inference from all this to the end of chapter is that had they as a nation repented, the Messiah would have returned at that time to set up His kingdom in Israel.
But the opposite took place as indicated in the next chapter, the facts of which are (a), the arrest of Peter and John (vv. 1-3); (b), their defense (vv. 5-12); (c), their threatening and their deliverance (vv. 13-22); (d), their return "to their own company" with the spiritual quickening that followed (vv. 23-30).
【행3:1 MHCC】The apostles and the first believers attended the temple worship at the hours of prayer. Peter and John seem to have been led by a Divine direction, to work a miracle on a man above forty years old, who had been a cripple from his birth. Peter, in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, bade him rise up and walk. Thus, if we would attempt to good purpose the healing of men's souls, we must go forth in the name and power of Jesus Christ, calling on helpless sinners to arise and walk in the way of holiness, by faith in Him. How sweet the thought to our souls, that in respect to all the crippled faculties of our fallen nature, the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth can make us whole! With what holy joy and rapture shall we tread the holy courts, when God the Spirit causes us to enter therein by his strength!

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk—These words, uttered with supernatural power, doubtless begat in this poor man the faith that sent healing virtue through his diseased members.
【행3:7 JFB】7. And he took … and lifted him up—precisely what his Lord had done to his own mother-in-law (막1:31).

【행3:8 JFB】8. leaping up, stood … walked … entered the temple walking, leaping, and praising God—Every word here is emphatic, expressing the perfection of the cure, as 행3:7 its immediateness.
【행3:9 JFB】9. all the people saw him, &c.—as they assembled at the hour of public prayer, in the temple courts; so that the miracle had the utmost publicity.
【행3:10 JFB】10. they knew that it was he which sat for alms, &c.—(Compare 요9:8).
【행3:11 JFB】11. the lame man … held, &c.—This is human nature.
all the people ran together unto them in the porch, &c.—How vividly do these graphic details bring the whole scene before us! Thus was Peter again furnished with a vast audience, whose wonder at the spectacle of the healed beggar clinging to his benefactors prepared them to listen with reverence to his words.
【행3:12 JFB】12-16. why marvel at this?—For miracles are marvels only in relation to the limited powers of man.
as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk—Neither the might nor the merit of the cure are due to us, mere agents of Him whom we preach.
【행3:12 MHCC】Observe the difference in the manner of working the miracles. Our Lord always spoke as having Almighty power, never hesitated to receive the greatest honour that was given to him on account of his Divine miracles. But the apostles referred all to their Lord, and refused to receive any honour, except as his undeserving instruments. This shows that Jesus was one with the Father, and co-equal with Him; while the apostles knew that they were weak, sinful men, and dependent for every thing on Jesus, whose power effected the cure. Useful men must be very humble. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to thy name, give glory. Every crown must be cast at the feet of Christ. The apostle showed the Jews the greatness of their crime, but would not anger or drive them to despair. Assuredly, those who reject, refuse, or deny Christ, do it through ignorance; but this can in no case be an excuse.
【행3:13 JFB】13. The God of Abraham, &c.—(See on 행2:22; 행2:36).
hath glorified his Son Jesus—rather, "his Servant Jesus," as the same word is rendered in 마12:18, but in that high sense in which Isaiah applies it always to Messiah (사42:1; 49:6; 52:13; 53:11). When "Son" is intended a different word is used.
whom ye delivered up, &c.—With what heroic courage does Peter here charge his auditors with the heaviest of all conceivable crimes, and with what terrific strength of language are these charges clothed!

【행3:16 JFB】16. his name, through faith in his name, hath made this man strong, &c.—With what skill does the apostle use the miracle both to glorify his ascended Lord and bring the guilt of His blood more resistlessly home to his audience!
【행3:17 JFB】17-21. And now, brethren—Our preacher, like his Master, "will not break the bruised reed." His heaviest charges are prompted by love, which now hastens to assuage the wounds it was necessary to inflict.

should suffer—The doctrine of a Suffering Messiah was totally at variance with the current views of the Jewish Church, and hard to digest even by the Twelve, up to the day of their Lord's resurrection. Our preacher himself revolted at it, and protested against it, when first nakedly announced, for which he received a terrible rebuke. Here he affirms it to be the fundamental truth of ancient prophecy realized unwittingly by the Jews themselves, yet by a glorious divine ordination. How great a change had the Pentecostal illumination wrought upon his views!
【행3:19 JFB】19. when the times of refreshing shall come—rather, "in order that the times of refreshing may come"; that long period of repose, prosperity and joy, which all the prophets hold forth to the distracted Church and this miserable world, as eventually to come, and which is here, as in all the prophets, made to turn upon the national conversion of Israel.
【행3:19 MHCC】The absolute necessity of repentance is to be solemnly charged upon the consciences of all who desire that their sins may be blotted out, and that they may share in the refreshment which nothing but a sense of Christ's pardoning love can afford. Blessed are those who have felt this. It was not needful for the Holy Spirit to make known the times and seasons of these dispensations. These subjects are still left obscure. But when sinners are convinced of their sins, they will cry to the Lord for pardon; and to the penitent, converted, and believing, times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord. In a state of trial and probation, the glorified Redeemer will be out of sight, because we must live by faith in him.

【행3:22 JFB】22-26. a prophet … like unto me—particularly in intimacy of communication with God (민12:6-8), and as the mediatorial Head of a new order of things (히3:2-6). Peter takes it for granted that, in the light of all he had just said, it would be seen at once that One only had any claim to be that Prophet.
him shall ye hear in all things, &c.—This part of the prediction is emphatically added, in order to shut up the audience to the obedience of faith, on pain of being finally "cut off" from the congregation of the righteous (시1:1).
【행3:22 MHCC】Here is a powerful address to warn the Jews of the dreadful consequences of their unbelief, in the very words of Moses, their favourite prophet, out of pretended zeal for whom they were ready to reject Christianity, and to try to destroy it. Christ came into the world to bring a blessing with him. And he sent his Spirit to be the great blessing. Christ came to bless us, by turning us from our iniquities, and saving us from our sins. We, by nature cleave to sin; the design of Divine grace is to turn us from it, that we may not only forsake, but hate it. Let none think that they can be happy by continuing in sin, when God declares that the blessing is in being turned from all iniquity. Let none think that they understand or believe the gospel, who only seek deliverance from the punishment of sin, but do not expect happiness in being delivered from sin itself. And let none expect to be turned from their sin, except by believing in, and receiving Christ the Son of God, as their wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.
